Illuminati Informative Speech
What is the illuminati, and who really controls it, but the real question is who s in the illuminati. The
illuminati is said to be something evil, something that created artists like Beyonce, Jay z and Britney
Spears, and more famous people. The reason they became famous was because of the illuminati they
have the money and the fame, they also have control over the world. Not only is the illuminati taking
over the artist but is also throwing out symbols in kids movies and hand signs. Like the 666 with your
fingers, and the triangle we ve all seen it, when Beyonce does it during her performances. So i m
going to talk to you guys about the illuminati, and what the meaning about it is. Let s not forget the
show that predicts the future The Simpsons. Beyonce, is known for being the queen bee and for
having the best music and fame but, everyone says she s part of the illuminati. Queen bee or should
we call her Sasha Fierce Beyonce said in one of her interviews she said Beyonce is dead, I am Sasha
Fierce. Beyonce says that Sasha Fierce is her alter ego someone that she created that it s her onstage
personality. Sasha is said to be the evil in Beyonce, Beyonce says that I ... Show more content on

The Simpsons show was always known for predicting the future since the first show came out. The
show has made so many predictions that it s so unbelievable and one of the predictions that came true
was nearly 17 years ago, and episode of The Simpsons predicted that Donald Trump would become
president of the U.S. and it came true. Also another prediction of The Simpsons was in season 6,
episode 19 when the smartwatch prediction (1995). The Simpsons introduced the idea of a watch you
could use as a phone in an episode aired in 1995, nearly 20 years before the Apple Watch was

Gabriel s horn
Rationale
I was studying calculus from Math SL text book ( Oxford Publication) , when I was doing my
integration questions in between I saw a paragraph of Gabriel Horn , only one paragraph was given .
After that it struck in my mind to explore my IA on this topic. I searched from many resources and try
to explore the following. In this I found major portion of calculus (differentiation and integration) was
explained. it is very interesting to explore the topic on the calculus. That is why I opted this topic.
Personal Engagement:
After studied about the Gabriel Horn , I thought , let me try to paint the Horn myself . so do this I
bought the Horn from the market and painted it completely . I often spent my time covering the Horn
in different color and I decided to paint it .
When I was painting it , in an attempt to understand the surface area and the volume of my Horn I

Significance And Innovation Of The Proposed Research
Significance and innovation of the proposed research The use and comprehension of the passive
sentence structure is the subject of much debate in the field of psycholinguistics. There have been
many studies conducted addressing the issue of why passive sentence structures are so underused as
compared to active sentence structures in children. Several studies have tried to show that passive
sentence structures can actually be elicited through structural priming, or more generally being more
exposed to that specific type of sentence. Although plenty of research as been conducted examining
the P600 response in reference to various types of syntactical anomalies, I could not find one study
that was specifically focused on the priming of passive sentence structures, even though it is said that
the P600 should respond to this specific sentence structure. Therefore, the proposed study will
contribute to the field of psycholinguistics by examining the P600 response of children using the
structural priming paradigm. Based on the results of the study, the study may also be able to determine
if the P600 response could serve as an adequate neural marker for the effectiveness of passive voice
structural priming.
Study design The proposed study will make use of the structural priming paradigm used in previous
studies (Gámez Shimpi, 2015; Vasilyeva, Waterfall, Gámez, Gómez, Bowers, Shimpi, 2010), as well
as the measurement of event related potentials. Participants are to be randomly

Kangaroo Care And Pre Term And Low Birth Weight Babies Essay
The article Kangaroo care in Pre term and Low Birth Weight Babies in a Postnatal Ward was written
by Sarah Gregson and Jonathan Blacker and was published in the British Journal of Midwifery. This
study was the first in the UK to investigate Kangaroo care for stable low birth weight infants and
infants at risk for hypoglycemia in a transitional care/ postnatal ward setting. The purpose of this
cohort study was to compare the effects of Kangaroo care (skin to skin contact with mother) on length
of stay, feeding, and parent satisfaction for premature, low birth weight, and babies born to diabetic
mothers versus standard care in the control group. The study took place at Pembury Hospital in the
United Kingdom from November 2009 to August 2010. The sample was obtained from pregnant
women educated about the study by their midwives. Inclusion criteria to participate in the study
included gestation of 34 36 weeks, small for gestational age less than the 2nd percentile, and babies of
diabetic mothers. A total of 179 women were eligible for the study, however, forty eight were not
asked to participate and twenty four declined. Two women withdrew from the study after interventions
had been implemented. The sample size was calculated using a joint statistical and pragmatic
assessment to represent a true mean difference of one day in length of stay with a power of 80% at
95% level of significance. The study involved a total of 214 infants, 107 in the study group and 107 in

Bar Codes
How Much Do Your Mistakes Cost?
Brittney Roper, R.N.
Southwestern Oklahoma State University
Introduction
Proper patient identification in hospitals has been an issue for many years, especially when it comes to
blood specimen collection. Laboratory specimens being mislabeled are a everyday cause of harm to
patients including repeat diagnostic procedures; repeat phlebotomy; delays in necessary surgical
procedures; a performing unnecessary surgical procedures (Dunn and Moga, 2010). This is not only
costly, but it is very stressing to patients and medical staff. The biggest concern is the possibility of
making a fatal error when it comes to specimen collection. Without proper patient identification this
risk increases substantially. Wallin, Sodberg, Van Guelpen, Stenlund, Grankvist, and Brulin (2009)
state that critical errors in patient identification for blood testing occurs in up to one per 1000
specimens or procedures and misidentified specimens cause 160,000 adverse events every year in
America.
Bar coding has been introduced into many hospitals in the last several years. Using bar codes on
patients ID bracelets and labels for specimens has been the normal practice for Saint Francis Hospital
for some time. However, the labels aren t used as well as they should be to prevent errors in patient
care. According to Wickham, Miedema, Gamerdinger, and DeGooyer (2006), implementing the use of
bar codes for patient identification will prevent

UK s Main Electoral System and Should It Be Reformed Essay...
UK s Main Electoral System and Should It Be Reformed
Over the years Britain s pluralist electoral system has been scrutinised by many political and pressure
groups, such as the Liberal Democrats and the Electoral Reform Society. In their 1997 Manifesto, the
Labour Party did state that they would look into the matter, by holding a referendum on the issue,
however there was no change as Labour had a large majority in 1997 and Labour has preformed
disappointingly in elections where Proportional Representation had been used. The main electoral
system in the UK should be reformed because the first past the post system does not represent the
electorate in a democratic manner. It also under represents ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The system is also disproportionate, an example of this is can be shown in a study of the 2001 General
Election.
From the 2001 General Election results, we can deliberately see that through our pluralist electoral
system, the system is disproportionate. We can see many examples of this]. The percentage of votes to
the percentage of seats is unequal, showing how its seats not votes that count, and judging by labour s
landslide victory. In fact, we can see that Labour did not even gain a majority from voters but only
from seats. Another example is the Liberal Democrats; they received 18.3% of the electorate s votes,
but only received less than half the percentage of seats at 7.9%. Labour also received a mere 9% more
votes than the Conservatives, but yet still managed to acquire around 247 more seats. This also shows
that some parties, especially Labour in the 2001 elections, are over represented and this can lead
eventually lead to a dangerous one party system , which certainly undermines our ideology of a
Democracy. On average 70% of votes are also wasted during a single election. We find that 100.0% of
votes are accounted for, only 40.7% actually counted, therefore, votes a drastically wasted.

The Most Problematic Crimes That Are Polluting Italy s...
The most problematic crimes that are polluting Italy s criminal justice system is corruption, organized
crime, drug trafficking, terrorism, and illegal immigration. Corruption creates a fertile ground for
organized criminal activities, even terrorism, as criminals are aided in their illegal activities by the
complicity of corrupt public officials. If left unchecked, corruption will undermine political, social and
economic stability, ultimately threatening the safety and security of society as a whole. Political
parties are considered the most corrupted institution in Italy, followed by parliament and legislature
and police. According to Transparency International (2015) survey on global corruption, 64% of
people feel that their ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Compared to other countries, Italy is equally corrupted as Brazil, Greece, Bulgaria, and Swaziland
(Transparency International, 2015). Italy total crime is the 4th highest in Europe and it has one of the
highest percentages of crime victims with 24.5% of its population claiming to be victims. Italians have
one of the lowest rates of faith in their police force, with just 54% stating they believe in police
efficiency and 65% claiming it s not safe to walk alone at night (NationMaster, 2015). The safety
concerns for the tourists and locals are at a low because of police corruption and bribery, and that
police are not taking some of the crimes that are being reported seriously. In Italy, U.S. citizens are
less likely to be a victim of a violent crime, but they will fall victim of pickpocketing, purse snatching,
residential and car break ins in populated Italian tourist destinations (Overseas Security Advisory
Council, 2015).
Italy s international police is responsible for protecting the boarder for illegal trafficking and domestic
crime. The Interpol National Center Bureau (NCB), which is party of Italy international police
Cooperation Service (SCIP), has two divisions within SCIP that focus on fighting crime such as
organized crime, terrorism, illegal immigration, drugs, missing persons, environmental crime,
property crime, and wanted fugitives (Interpol, 2015). Organized crime has been a major problem in
Italy for a number of years. Organized

Ponyboy Character Analysis
Sometimes people judge a book by its cover. Ponyboy from The Outsiders was a person that was
judged by many people. He is in a gang, they call themselves the greasers. They are poorer than the
Socs and the middle class. When people see them they immediately think, dirty troublemakers but
they are more like a group of friends hanging out. They are like one big family and very few of them
from the gang actually start trouble. Being that Ponyboy is a greaser, people think that he is a
troublemaker and a bad person but that is not the case. Ponyboy is a unique young man that does not
start trouble and does not like fighting. He is also a very good friend. I can say that I am most like him
because I find that we have very many things in common when it comes to identity and personality.
He is a nice person who s smart in school and that is what sets him apart from the rest of his gang.
Although he may not think properly when he s out of school and it leads him to trouble, he still keeps
his good grades and respect towards others.
Ponyboy is a very good friend. He has a friend named Johnny who is also a greaser. Johnny is going
through so much throughout the story. He runs away from his home because he heard his mother and
father fighting like they always do. He goes to the park and he says, I can t take much more. I ll kill
myself or something. Johnny hated that his parents fought so much and he didn t want to be around it.
His parents were neglectful and abusive, both

Health, The Elementary Human Right Essay
Introduction
Health the Elementary Human Right
Health is declared as a basic human right by the universal declaration of human rights in 1948, stating
that everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well being of oneself and
one s family, including food, clothing, housing, and medical care. Endowment of health is a
fundamental good and a moral issue because it provides opportunity to pursue life goals, reduces pain
and suffering, prevents premature loss of life, and provides information needed to plan lives (Jacobson
and Mathur, 2010). However, it is not later than three decades ago that health is placed high on
international agenda. This international agenda has strongly passed on into almost all countries after
the report of the Commission on Macroeconomics and Health, that investing in health leads to
economic development. This reports emphasized health as a resource for everyday life and as driver of
economy of nation (WHO, 2001).
What is a Health Policy?
Health policy can be formally defined as the broad statement of goals, objectives and means that
create the framework for activity. It includes what governments decide to do or not to do. (Buse et al.,
2005). Health policies are expected to offer methods and opportunities to develop collaboration among
different sectors, organizations and people to attain a common goal of promoting health (WHO, 1986,
Byrant, 2002). The main intent of health policies is to create supportive

Does Our Technology Take Us Close To The World Of Big...
Is Our Technology Taking Us Close to the World of Big Brother?
Big Brother is watching you (1984, Orwell). This line has a lot of meaning to it, especially in our
current era now. This quote comes from the book 1984. Despite the title, it is still a relevant book to
what our world is like right now. How is it relevant to us now? Well, in the story, it talks about
telescreens, which watches people all the time. In our world, police are often using security cameras,
and tracking phones down to stop crime from happening. Many people believe that this is just the start
to the age of Big Brother. Despite what many people believes, our technology may come closer to the
world of Big Brother, but its morality and use of this idea will not become the ways of Big Brother: to
watch and control what people thinks. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
What better way to make the streets a safer place than using our advancement in technology to do so?
Now, we can watch over the people with security cameras instead of having certain police patrol all
the time. Long Beach Police to Use 400 Cameras Citywide to Fight Crime, an article in Los Angeles
Times, goes into great details about their use of surveillance cameras to provide safety to the people of
Long Beach. An officer stated that they will only use the cameras when an incident occurs, and not
watch people all the time. That is why privacy should not be an issue. Also, why do people consider
their privacy an issue when they are in a public place? This is a great example of why we are not
following the ideas of Big Brother. In the novel, 1984, these cameras were used to control people, and
watch and make sure they are not doing anything to overthrow the government. That is why our ideas
of how surveillance works are different from the ways of Big

Importance Of Fuzzy Logic
6.1. IMPORTANCE OF FUZZY LOGIC Fuzzy logic is all about the relative importance of precision:
use as Fuzzy Logic Toolbox software with MATLAB technical computing software as a tool for
solving problems with fuzzy logic. Fuzzy logic is a fascinating area of research because it does a good
job of trading off between significance and precision something that humans have been managing for
a very long time. In this sense, fuzzy logic is both old and new because, although the modern and
methodical science of fuzzy logic is still young, the concept of fuzzy logic relies on age old skills of
human reasoning. Fig 6.1 Fuzzy Description 6.2. USAGE OF FUZZY LOGIC Fuzzy logic is a
convenient way to map an input space to an output space. Mapping input to output is the starting point
for everything. Consider the following examples:
With information about how good your service was at a restaurant, a fuzzy logic system can tell you
what the tip should be.
With your specification of how hot you want the water, a fuzzy logic system can adjust the faucet
valve to the right setting.
With information about how far away the subject of your photograph is, a fuzzy logic system can
focus the lens for you.

Between the input and the output, the preceding figure shows a black box that can contain any number
of things: fuzzy systems, linear systems, expert systems, neural networks, differential equations,
interpolated multi dimensional lookup tables, or even a spiritual advisor, just to name a few of the
possible options. Clearly the list could go on and on.Of the dozens of ways to make the black box
work, it turns out that fuzzy is often the very best way. As Lotfi Zadeh, who is considered to be the
father of fuzzy logic, once remarked: In almost every case you can build the same product without
fuzzy logic, but fuzzy is faster and

April 2nd Chainsaw Reflection
Out of the chapters we ve read this week, chapter April 2nd Chainsaw drew my interest the most. The
author was very unpleased with the maintenance crew cutting and bulldozing unwanted trees from the
edge of the golf course. Instead of putting the cut down trees to any good use, they decided to just
dumped them off the cliff, but what they didn t know is that these trees will provide extra salamander
habitat. So that s a cool pro out of a con. With maintenance cutting down these trees, many inhabitants
will be destroyed in the process which would take decades to recover. Reading the April 2nd

could I be more sustainable with the lifestyle

Not A Witch, By The Sound Of A Grievous Witch
I was convinced that she was truly not a witch, by the sound of a grievous witch I had trust in her, I
am weak for sure that I had a childish behaviour that concluded my fate, but how would I know They
knew her for what she was, as evil they called her. I lived next door to her, I would watch her upon
nights and day in my window, brushing her silk hair as if it needed brushing, she seemed so lost, she
seemed indelicate, but I never knew her, It was impossible to say she is a witch, with long hair and
indifferent eyes, they seemed brown, but they had mystery in them, her face pale enough to call them
dry snow as if she wasn t even living, trapped . she lived in the north side and her house was painted
in a very curious dark blue, there seemed to be no plain living thing, her land contained not a strand of
green grass growing, usually I wondered when I reached my door and seem rather odd to me, but was
I curious enough, not at all I had heard stories about her, she seduced men and they never came out of
the house every again. I felt it was a mere story, no one understood it may be a rather a myth, never
real. I made up my mind, my weak heart won so I decided to refine the women, the Grievous witch a

Why Do Bananafish Lose Innocence
Innocence: A Gain and A Loss Well, they[Bananafish] swim into a hole where there s a lot of bananas.
They re very ordinary looking fish when they swim in. But once they get in, they behave like pigs....
Naturally, after that they re so fat they can t get out of the hole again. Can t fit through the door. In
J.D. Salinger s collection of tales doubly titled Nine Stories , He portrays the loss of innocence along
with other themes. He does this in a very unorthodox way. In the above quote, A character named

The Correlation Between Cancer And Prostate Cancer
The finding led to the belief that the solution lied in the saturation, where the maximal growth of the
prostate cancer was achieved at a low level of testosterone. This model was produced by Fowler and
Whitmore, who concluded normal endogenous testosterone levels may be sufficient to cause near
maximal stimulation of prostatic tumors. There final conclusion was that there is not today nor has
there ever been a scientific basis for the contention that a higher T concentration causes pCA growth,
acutely or long term. This was a pivotal discovery because many other research labs began to do work
on this same theory. Even though the other labs were doing the same research, they all came to similar
results to of Huggins and Hodges, and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Nevertheless, like humans, the animal samples showed that androgens alone are sufficient to the
induction of prostate carcinogenesis. In this study, the mean age of the patients who were sample was
about 63 years of age and the median time that it took to diagnose those patients was almost three
years. Testosterone, in this study, was moderately correlated with SHBG, but weakly correlated with
estradilol. This is when Black et al used the ratio of estradilol: testosterone because they found an
decrease between the ratio and the risk of acquiring prostate cancer. The overall conclusion was
acquired from the data was found what that in men 70 years of age or greater a higher ratio of
estradilol: testosterone was strongly associated with a reduced risk, and the control of the ratio would
reduce the risk of acquiring prostate cancer. The risk of having prostate cancer was observed as higher
with a ratio of 2:16α hydroxyestrone. Even though it was found that there is low risk of getting
prostate cancer, they did consider the balance is important in how aggressive the prostate cancer is, or
may become. [4]
A study that was done by Chen et al observed that androgens like testosterone were vital in the growth
and maintenance of prostate cancer. Subsequently, they gave large doses of these androgens to
rodents. The other observations included the incidence of prostate cancer was very low in men who
were castrated, and androgens stimulate the in vitro

Analysis Of `` Killing Us Softly 4 `` By Jean Kilbourne
Whether we realize it or not, we are constantly surrounded by advertisements. On average, we are
exposed to approximately 3,000 ads per day, through logos, billboards, and television commercials,
even our choices of brands. But in today s society, one of the most used and influential tools of
advertising are women. But the unfortunate thing is that women are not just viewed as actresses in
these ads but as objects for people to look at, use, abuse, and more. In her fourth installment in a line
of documentaries, Killing Us Softly 4, Jean Kilbourne explains the influence of advertising women
and popular culture, and its relationship to gender violence, sexism and racism, and eating disorders.
For women, advertising exemplifies the ideal female body. According to Kilbourne, young girls are
taught from a very early age that they need to spend lots of time and money to achieve this physical
perfection. But realistically this cannot be achieved. The ideal woman s body is Caucasian, very
skinny, big breasts, no flaws, and pretty much no pores. This cannot be achieved because it is
physically impossible to look like this; the illusion comes from the secret world of Photoshop. No
woman is beautiful enough so they leave it to technology to create perfection. The supermodel Cindy
Crawford said, I wish I looked like Cindy Crawford! She knew the realities of Photoshop and body
image, and more women and girls need to become aware of this as well. Kilbourne uses the example

There are of course the obvious destinations to visit such as Big Ben and the Tower of London, but I

Adam Has Suffered Under Tort Law Essay
) First and foremost, in order for us to claim for the psychiatric damage that Adam has suffered under
tort law, we will have to prove that Adam is either a primary victim or a secondary victim and Adam is
suffered from a recognised psychiatric illness, anxiety and stress will generally not sufficient. Primary
victims are those who directly involved in the event and secondary victims are those who are suffered
a psychiatric illness when someone they know is killed or injured in an accident. A recognised
psychiatric condition is defined as a genuine illness or injury, needed medical evidence and has a long
term effect. Adam might claim as a primary victim in this case, because a primary victim has to suffer
physical injury or at a risk of physical injury and psychiatric injuries. The liability of causing
psychiatric injury depends on foreseeability of physical injury, for example, in the case of Page v
Smith where Mr Page suffered no physical injury but a recurrence of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and
became unable to work, Smith is liable as he could reasonably foresee that Mr Page suffer physical
injury. Adam could claim as a primary victim if Adam is in the zone of physical danger, I firmly
believe that Adam was in the zone of danger at that time because he was seated in the row of the seat
immediately behind their children and the risk of physical injury of Adam was also foreseeable,
therefore, Adam owed a duty of care in relation to psychiatric damage. Besides, the

Chronic pancreatitis : chronic pancreatitis is long lasting inflammation of the pancreas .it is most often
happens after an episode of acute pancreatitis . heavy alcohol drinking is another big cause. Damage
to the pancreas from heavy alcohol use may not cause symptoms for years , but then a person may
suddenly develop severe pancreatitis . symptoms of chronic pancreatitis are patients feels frequently
pain in the upper abdomen but in some patient pain may be disabling . weight loss caused by poor
absorption of food. This malabsorption happens because the gland is not producing enzyme to break

Photographic Reality
A Photographic Reality
Chaos, a state of utter confusion or disorder. Chaos, a word often used to describe the scene of a tragic
event such as a natural disaster or an act of terrorism. Whether in movies or in real life we have all
seen chaos at work. Smoke and screams fill the air. Law enforcement franticly runs about trying to
help in any way possible. Reporters and photographers arrive in swarms to get the inside scoop on the
next ground breaking tragedy. When the Boston bombing happened on April 15, 2013 there was no
exception to this pattern of events. Many photographs were taken of the aftermath, but one photo in
particular seems to have captured the frantic atmosphere of the moment. It depicts an older man who,
mid run, had been knocked ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The image I was viewing was not graphic, nor even artistically formatted. This photo had caused a
strong reaction for one reason, context. The Syrian revolution has been going on since March of 2011.
As of August of 2015, more than 250,000 people have been killed and 12 million displaced because of
the conflict (CNN Library). A total of three people died during the Boston bombings. The drastic
difference between these statistics really puts things into scale. While some news coverage has been
given to the tragedies occurring in Syria, over the years we have become desensitized to it. When a
tragic bombing occurs in our homeland, people take notice. There are endless photos and stories
written about the event. The Syrians apologetic sign sent a message of a little more than just
condolences. It took the tragic event of our country and diminished it. By reminding us that bombings
like this happen every day in Syria. For them it a common occurrence. I don t mean to say that the
Boston bombing was not a terrible incident, but when compared to the happenings over in Syria it
makes you wonder where our priorities lie.
Without the context of the Boston bombing photo, the photo of the Syrian townspeople would have
had a much lesser effect on my emotions. By piggy backing on the United states tragedy they
amplified their message. When I go back and look at that chaotic photo of the fallen runner I see a
man, who is alive, and will live to run another race. I can now see straight through the message my
eyes want me to believe. Photos can often have a broadcasted message that the artist or photographer
wants you to see, but it is our job to view things without bias or relying on prior

Igor Sikorsky Research Paper
Igor Sikorsky was born in Kiev, Russia, where his father was a professor of psychology at St.
Vladimir University. Following his graduation from the Naval Academy at St. Petersburg, he studied
in Paris and at the Polytechnic Institute in Kiev. While in Germany in 1908, he heard of the dirigible
flights of Count Zeppelin and returned to Paris to study aviation. At the age of 20 he built his first

Social Class Variations In U. S. Family Life
Social class variations in U.S. family life starts with categories of people who share a common
economic position in the unequal society in which they live in (Strong and Cohen 82). Classes indicate
economic indicators such as wealth and income earned. These show what people have such as bank
accounts, houses, stocks, and retirement plans, but eliminates their debt such as credit cards, loans,
and mortgages. Social class is known to have structural and cultural dimensions. Structurally, social
class shows our occupations that we depend on for earnings, the power it presents us with, and the
opportunities we get to experience. Culturally, social class follows people s beliefs, attitudes, values,
and motivations that separate them from other classes. People are grouped together in classes because
of their similar incomes, amounts of wealth, degrees of occupation status, and years of education.
Social class is experienced differently by people throughout life. The four classes that are used in the
commonly used model are upper, middle, working, and lower classes. Upper classes represents about
one percent of U.S. families and usually can be born into their fortunes or live on yearly incomes.
Upper classes incomes can range from two million to hundreds of dollars. These people are
professionals, corporate executives, and managers who tend to have degrees from expensive
universities. They will live in private homes in separate communities away from others. Some people
will separate themselves among the upper classes based on how they earn their money and how long
they have lived their lives this way. Middle classes are considered the largest class among U.S.
families. Occupations in this class are found to be highly paid professionals such as lawyers, doctors,
and engineers. They have annual incomes that can reach from hundreds to thousands of dollars.
Middle class people are typically college educated, but may not have entered the same expensive
universities as the upper classes. They still have earned and achieved advanced degrees. Middle class
earners enjoy luxuries such as their own home, vacations, and can provide their children with
necessities throughout life such as college educations. White collar

The Cause For The Growth Of International Trade In The...
At the turn of the 19th century the sum of exports and imports across nations was below 10%, today it
is higher than 50%. This means there has been a dramatic increase in international trade in the last
century (Roser, 2017). Even by half the time of fifty years there was even more growth. What may
have led to the growth of international trade during this time? This paper will study the cause for the
surge in international trade.
International trade has been a part of life from the time people could travel to other places, be it by
their own power in walking, or by use of an animal to ride, then by ships, followed by trains,
automobiles, and finally airplanes. As with every invention, technological advancements enhanced
each one of these modes of transportation, perhaps, besides by a person own power. This allows for
movement of products to move faster across nations, though these advancements were long before the
time we will explore further in this paper, they can be seen as an important part of international trade.
The last century has brought many technological advancements. The newest invention to assist the
growth of international trade. It has help make communication not only easier but also faster, no
longer do businesses and individuals compose letters, send them off, then wait for weeks on end for a
response to be received, it can now be hours worth of wait, or even instantaneous. Companies in one
part of the world can now complete transactions with companies all

Plasma Spray Coatinging Case Study
 Distances between nozzle of the plasma spray gun and surface has to 100mm to 150mm.
G. The importance of the study
By the end of the proposed project work we can achieve the market demand for the cheap and efficient
feedstock material for plasma spray coating. Because fly ash mechanical properties will boost both
mechanical and thermal substrate properties. And also improve the durability of the metallic substrate
due to improved wear resistances of the substrate. Cost of the feedstock material can be drastically
reduced with the same mechanical and thermal properties provide by standard feedstock materials.
Parallel to use of fly ash material it will help to slow down the use of the non renewable assets. This
will also give a new ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
And also flexible to resolve complicated designs by using high density inert gases to attain high
particle velocity which gains high bond strength. Even with superior advantages it has drawbacks,
mainly the cost factor because feedstock materials are very expensive due pre processing for the finest
outcome. So we got to be using industrial waste fly ash material to 90% cost free feedstock material.
By the investigation of fly ash composition and micro structure it shows terrific mechanical properties
and good wear resistances due contain of oxides which can be utilised as proactive ceramic coating
material and has low thermal conductivity (Satapathy et al, 2009). No pre processing is needed
because of its microstructure has spherical shape that makes the flow ability easy. Most importantly it
s very inexpensive when compared other feedstock materials used in other thermal spray coating.
Because of its exceptional benefits many sectors such as automotive, construction, other
manufacturing fields. As our concerned area is surface engineering we goon improve the hardness of
the substrate by coating ceramic material on the ductile materials.

I haven t taken notes in a very long time. At work, I usually just jot things down on a note pad. Then,
when I m ready, I transcribe those notes into information. In high school, I was a fairly good note
taker, I think. I was organized, ready to listen, and free of distraction. If I had to evaluate myself, I
would say I m a Fair note taker. There is definitely room for improvement!
How can you improve your test preparation?
Overcoming anxiety about test taking is definitely going to be a challenge. I get very stressed,

Family As A Group Of People
When you ask people for their opinion on the definition of a family, the first definition that comes to
mind is the nuclear family. Some people would agree with the notation. However, others have a
different interpretation of the definition. The definition that should describe a family is a group of
people that loves each other and where someone can share their good and bad times. With the
definition of a family being a group of people that cares for each other and can be there in the time of
need, it is opposite of the well known nuclear family. A nuclear family consists of 2 parents and
offspring living under the same roof. But that is not always true. Some families have two dads or two

one of their family members passed away with AIDS and they family was heartbroken. Together, each
family member helped each other out and the aunt built a quilt that has all the objects sewn to the quilt
that represents the child. They help each other out so that person doesn t get lost with grief and
depression from losing a family member. Everyone supports each other and they all pull through the
rough times that life gives to them.
In a family, there are different roles that everybody does. For example, there is always at least on
person caring for the kids in the house. There is someone that cooks the food and cleans the house.
There are adults that are in charge of the house and kids who listens to them and do chores. Usually in
a nuclear family, the mother stays home and cook while the father is the only one that goes outside
and into his company. The children goes to school and stays outside until it is dusk, then coming
inside the house for dinner. All of these roles is what most people think all white families do. Just like
Gary Soto in Looking for Work , when Soto was 9 years old, he sees on the television a white family
that has contrasting traditions than Soto s family. Wanting to be like the whites, Soto is determined to
change his family. During summer, Soto sees the comfortable lives of white

Sodium Ion Essay
4. As mentioned in the case description, tetrodotoxin is a molecule that blocks voltage gated sodium
ion channels. Describe the structure of a sodium ion.
A sodium ion is essentially a sodium atom which had been oxidized, losing one electron and gaining a
positive charge. Thus, the atomic structure of a sodium ion is an atom with 11 protons in its nucleus,
but only 10 electrons in its orbitals, thus explaining its positive charge.

Why do sodium ions need channels in order to move into and out of cells?
The sodium ions need channels in order to move into and out of the cell because if the cell let any type
of ion in, the cell would become toxic. This is why nerve cells regulate the amount of ions that enter
and leave the cell. Also creating the negative resting potential of a nerve cell, which can fire an action
potential and conduct nerve impulses.
These channels allow for the swift intake of sodium ions and the change in net charge over an
extremely short period of time. Sodium ions are also too big to enter the cell without the help of these
channels.
11. What would happen to a neuron if it were exposed to tetrodotoxin? Be specific regarding its effect
on the ability of a neuron to communicate.
When a neuron is exposed to tetrodotoxin, its ability to draw sodium into the cell is stopped. There is a
guanidino group attached to the tetrodotoxin that is drawn into the cell. These toxic molecules don t
leave the sodium channel and block any sodium from entering the neuron. It takes minutes for the
toxin to leave the channel and they are often drawn right back into the channel once they detach.
When an action potential tries to fire in a cell with blocked sodium channels, nothing happens. The
potential can t be completed and the overall charge of the neuron remains negative, leading to

banks are state owned (Shiying Avery, 2009). The cost cutting associated with the huge volume of
sales. For example, Tmall and Taobao accounted for over 50 percent of all the Chinese delivered
parcels. Tmall s and Taobao s combined transaction volume in 2012 was about one trillion yuan. This
figure was more than eBay and Amazon transaction volumes combined.
Marketing strategies are so essential for the success of any business. To understand this better, I can
briefly discuss the Alibaba s marketing mix. The Alibaba s main product is Alibaba.com, their E
commerce portal. It is the leading business to business portal in the entire world (Bhasin, 2016).
Alibaba focuses on B2B market where it is the leader while most of other E commerce portals such as

The Use Of Ritalin, By Brand Name, And Methylphenidate Or...
Introduction of Medication The medication covered in this article is called Ritalin, by brand name, and
Methylphenidate or Methylphenidylacetate hydrochloride are the generic names. Ritalin can be habit
forming and with over extended use a tolerance is built up, requiring more of the drug to be taken in
order to feel the same effects. A person using this medication can develop severe depression just from
suddenly stopping this drug after their overuse of it. To get off of this medication, it requires gradual
dosage lowering and monitoring by a physician to lessen negative withdrawal effects, (MedlinePlus,
2016). The primary use for Ritalin today has been for dulling symptoms of attention deficit
hyperactivity disorder children and adults. Ritalin is also used to treat narcolepsy. Narcolepsy is a
sleep disorder where the brain is not effectively regulating sleeping and waking cycles. Ritalin is part
of the central nervous system stimulants which work by altering brain chemistry, and holding back
some neurotransmitters and dulling some receptors to temporarily and artificial mimic a sense of calm
and focus while under the influence of the medicine, (MedlinePlus, 2016). Ritalin is prescribed as a
tablets or capsules to be taken daily by dosages at the discretion of the physician. Treatment of ADHD
with stimulants, often in conjunction with psychotherapy, helps to improve ADHD symptoms along
with the patient s self esteem, thinking ability, and social and family interactions,

Loan Description Essay
2) Loan Description There are few researches studying the effect of borrowers loan description on
lending success. Martens et al. (2007) concluded in their report that a good loan description can help
entrepreneurs to get their necessary capital source for starting up the company. Many studies have
addressed one distinguishing feature of the P2P online lending setting: the utilization of soft
information by lenders. They showed that unverifiable disclosures by borrowers, and the richness of
the dialogues between lenders and borrowers tend to affect the loan outcomes, at least in terms of the
likelihood of funding (Iyer et al., 2009; Larrimore et al., 2011; Sonenshein et al., 2011; Herzenstein et
al, 2011; Michaels, 2012). Previous ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
How to extract text features from such a lots of texts is an essential part of our report.
1.3 Objectives of the study Due to the fact that there are few relevant researches about the effects of
loan description on P2P online lending success, this report will focus on the influence of borrowers
loan description on investors decisions in terms of final lending success, and focus on analyzing the
relationship between them, with hopes that findings can provide better advice for both individuals and
small sized enterprises who cannot finance in banks.
Also in previous studies, there are some differences in opinion of how each factor affect final P2P
lending success. For example, whether the length of loan description is positively influence or
negatively affect lending success. Hopefully, we will have our own explanations on the relationship
between various factors in loan description and lending success
Furthermore, by sincerely referring to the studies of other scholars, we expect to dig deep on the
existing issues of P2P online lending industry, and obtain a more comprehensive understanding of the
global P2P online lending behavior.
1.4 Statement of hypotheses
As a loan description is a supplementary text written and submitted by the borrower, it tells facts about
the borrower. Considering factors within loan description, we construct four hypotheses under several
reasons mentioned below:
If spelling mistakes appear in the text of loan

In this essay I will be analysing micro organisms and disease. Firstly I will be defining micro
organisms and then explaining the key features of the main categories of microorganisms. Followed
by the roles of commensals and pathogens I will then go on to explain how micro organisms are
transmitted and the routes of entry to and exit from the human body of micro organisms. I will also be
explaining the logical sequence of events that occur from entry of a micro organism to the body to the
appearance of symptoms of a disease and then go onto discuss why not all infections lead to a disease.

Fungi such as mushroom, molds, and yeasts are eukaryotic cells with a true nucleus. Most fungi are
multicellular and their cell wall is composed of chitin. They obtain nutrients by absorbing organic
material from their environment decomposers, through symbiotic relationships with plants
(symbionts), or harmful relationships with a host (parasites). They form characteristic filamentous
tubes called hyphae that help absorb material. The collection of hyphae is called mycelium. Fungi
reproduce by releasing spores. Protozoa are unicellular aerobic eukaryotes. They have a nucleus,
complex organelles, and obtain nourishment by absorption or ingestion through specialized structures.
They make up the largest group of organisms in the world in terms of numbers, biomass, and diversity.
Their cell walls are made up of cellulose. Protozoa have been traditionally divided based on their
mode of locomotion: flagellates produce their own food and use their whip like structure to propel
forward, ciliates have tiny hair that beat to produce movement, amoeboids have false feet or
pseudopodia used for feeding and locomotion, and sporozoans are non motile. They also have
different means of nutrition, which groups them as autotrophs or heterotrophs. Viruses are noncellular
entities that consist of a nucleic acid core (DNA or RNA) surrounded by a protein coat. Although
viruses are classified as microorganisms, they are not considered living organisms. Viruses cannot

The Islamic State Of Syria
Women around the world are faced with problems and situation that may seem like a chimera to us,
but a reality for another: within the country of Syria this reality thrust upon the women of the country.
Syria has been taken over by an extreme religious group called the Islamic State of Iraq or more
commonly known as ISIS. Even though ISIS has been around for quite some time they are just now
beginning to grow to enough supporters to be able to cause great danger to the people of Syria and
around the world. ISIS uses the tactic of causing fear to control and suppress the women so there are

own living when terror hit their country.
Early in the spring of March 2011, protests began to break out in Syria over Syrian government of

Severe Left Hemiplegia
Phillip C. is 5 months post and presents with severe left hemiplegia of the arm along with left leg
paresis. The most recent neuropsychology assessment revealed deficits including: impaired hemi
spatial neglect, impaired selective attention, flat affect, impaired affective auditory comprehension,
disturbance of emotional facial recognition, problems with working memory, and problems with
reduplicative paramnesia.
Hemi spatial neglect is a condition in which patients fail to respond to stimuli on the side of the body

hemisphere, however, it is more sever and persistent after a right hemisphere brain injury (Brookshire,

additional assessment. Eight domains of cognitive communicative abilities are assessed, however,
clinicians can shorten the assessment by administering selected items to identify which area the
patient is having difficulty with. When assessing Phillip, I would assess the following domains:
orientation to person, place, and time (e.g. name, location, day of week), selective attention (e.g.
counting backward from 30 by 3 s), memory (e.g. delayed recall of a word list), abstract verbal
reasoning and problem solving (auditory comprehension of complex sentences e.g. Is your father s

  • 4. Significance And Innovation Of The Proposed Research Significance and innovation of the proposed research The use and comprehension of the passive sentence structure is the subject of much debate in the field of psycholinguistics. There have been many studies conducted addressing the issue of why passive sentence structures are so underused as compared to active sentence structures in children. Several studies have tried to show that passive sentence structures can actually be elicited through structural priming, or more generally being more exposed to that specific type of sentence. Although plenty of research as been conducted examining the P600 response in reference to various types of syntactical anomalies, I could not find one study that was specifically focused on the priming of passive sentence structures, even though it is said that the P600 should respond to this specific sentence structure. Therefore, the proposed study will contribute to the field of psycholinguistics by examining the P600 response of children using the structural priming paradigm. Based on the results of the study, the study may also be able to determine if the P600 response could serve as an adequate neural marker for the effectiveness of passive voice structural priming. Study design The proposed study will make use of the structural priming paradigm used in previous studies (Gámez Shimpi, 2015; Vasilyeva, Waterfall, Gámez, Gómez, Bowers, Shimpi, 2010), as well as the measurement of event related potentials. Participants are to be randomly ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Kangaroo Care And Pre Term And Low Birth Weight Babies Essay The article Kangaroo care in Pre term and Low Birth Weight Babies in a Postnatal Ward was written by Sarah Gregson and Jonathan Blacker and was published in the British Journal of Midwifery. This study was the first in the UK to investigate Kangaroo care for stable low birth weight infants and infants at risk for hypoglycemia in a transitional care/ postnatal ward setting. The purpose of this cohort study was to compare the effects of Kangaroo care (skin to skin contact with mother) on length of stay, feeding, and parent satisfaction for premature, low birth weight, and babies born to diabetic mothers versus standard care in the control group. The study took place at Pembury Hospital in the United Kingdom from November 2009 to August 2010. The sample was obtained from pregnant women educated about the study by their midwives. Inclusion criteria to participate in the study included gestation of 34 36 weeks, small for gestational age less than the 2nd percentile, and babies of diabetic mothers. A total of 179 women were eligible for the study, however, forty eight were not asked to participate and twenty four declined. Two women withdrew from the study after interventions had been implemented. The sample size was calculated using a joint statistical and pragmatic assessment to represent a true mean difference of one day in length of stay with a power of 80% at 95% level of significance. The study involved a total of 214 infants, 107 in the study group and 107 in the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Bar Codes How Much Do Your Mistakes Cost? Brittney Roper, R.N. Southwestern Oklahoma State University Introduction Proper patient identification in hospitals has been an issue for many years, especially when it comes to blood specimen collection. Laboratory specimens being mislabeled are a everyday cause of harm to patients including repeat diagnostic procedures; repeat phlebotomy; delays in necessary surgical procedures; a performing unnecessary surgical procedures (Dunn and Moga, 2010). This is not only costly, but it is very stressing to patients and medical staff. The biggest concern is the possibility of making a fatal error when it comes to specimen collection. Without proper patient identification this risk increases substantially. Wallin, Sodberg, Van Guelpen, Stenlund, Grankvist, and Brulin (2009) state that critical errors in patient identification for blood testing occurs in up to one per 1000 specimens or procedures and misidentified specimens cause 160,000 adverse events every year in America. Bar coding has been introduced into many hospitals in the last several years. Using bar codes on patients ID bracelets and labels for specimens has been the normal practice for Saint Francis Hospital for some time. However, the labels aren t used as well as they should be to prevent errors in patient care. According to Wickham, Miedema, Gamerdinger, and DeGooyer (2006), implementing the use of bar codes for patient identification will prevent ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. UK s Main Electoral System and Should It Be Reformed Essay... UK s Main Electoral System and Should It Be Reformed Over the years Britain s pluralist electoral system has been scrutinised by many political and pressure groups, such as the Liberal Democrats and the Electoral Reform Society. In their 1997 Manifesto, the Labour Party did state that they would look into the matter, by holding a referendum on the issue, however there was no change as Labour had a large majority in 1997 and Labour has preformed disappointingly in elections where Proportional Representation had been used. The main electoral system in the UK should be reformed because the first past the post system does not represent the electorate in a democratic manner. It also under represents ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The system is also disproportionate, an example of this is can be shown in a study of the 2001 General Election. From the 2001 General Election results, we can deliberately see that through our pluralist electoral system, the system is disproportionate. We can see many examples of this]. The percentage of votes to the percentage of seats is unequal, showing how its seats not votes that count, and judging by labour s landslide victory. In fact, we can see that Labour did not even gain a majority from voters but only from seats. Another example is the Liberal Democrats; they received 18.3% of the electorate s votes, but only received less than half the percentage of seats at 7.9%. Labour also received a mere 9% more votes than the Conservatives, but yet still managed to acquire around 247 more seats. This also shows that some parties, especially Labour in the 2001 elections, are over represented and this can lead eventually lead to a dangerous one party system , which certainly undermines our ideology of a Democracy. On average 70% of votes are also wasted during a single election. We find that 100.0% of votes are accounted for, only 40.7% actually counted, therefore, votes a drastically wasted. The most problematic crimes that are polluting Italy s criminal justice system is corruption, organized crime, drug trafficking, terrorism, and illegal immigration. Corruption creates a fertile ground for organized criminal activities, even terrorism, as criminals are aided in their illegal activities by the complicity of corrupt public officials. If left unchecked, corruption will undermine political, social and economic stability, ultimately threatening the safety and security of society as a whole. Italians have one of the lowest rates of faith in their police force, with just 54% stating they believe in police efficiency and 65% claiming it s not safe to walk alone at night (NationMaster, 2015). The safety concerns for the tourists and locals are at a low because of police corruption and bribery, and that police are not taking some of the crimes that are being reported seriously. In Italy, U.S. citizens are less likely to be a victim of a violent crime, but they will fall victim of pickpocketing, purse snatching, residential and car break ins in populated Italian tourist destinations (Overseas Security Advisory Council, 2015). He is in a gang, they call themselves the greasers. They are poorer than the Socs and the middle class. When people see them they immediately think, dirty troublemakers but they are more like a group of friends hanging out. They are like one big family and very few of them from the gang actually start trouble. Being that Ponyboy is a greaser, people think that he is a troublemaker and a bad person but that is not the case. Ponyboy is a unique young man that does not start trouble and does not like fighting. He is also a very good friend. I can say that I am most like him because I find that we have very many things in common when it comes to identity and personality. He is a nice person who s smart in school and that is what sets him apart from the rest of his gang. Although he may not think properly when he s out of school and it leads him to trouble, he still keeps his good grades and respect towards others. Ponyboy is a very good friend. He has a friend named Johnny who is also a greaser. Johnny is going through so much throughout the story. • 12. Health, The Elementary Human Right Essay Introduction Health the Elementary Human Right Health is declared as a basic human right by the universal declaration of human rights in 1948, stating that everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well being of oneself and one s family, including food, clothing, housing, and medical care. Endowment of health is a fundamental good and a moral issue because it provides opportunity to pursue life goals, reduces pain and suffering, prevents premature loss of life, and provides information needed to plan lives (Jacobson and Mathur, 2010). However, it is not later than three decades ago that health is placed high on international agenda. This international agenda has strongly passed on into almost all countries after the report of the Commission on Macroeconomics and Health, that investing in health leads to economic development. This reports emphasized health as a resource for everyday life and as driver of economy of nation (WHO, 2001). What is a Health Policy? Health policy can be formally defined as the broad statement of goals, objectives and means that create the framework for activity. It includes what governments decide to do or not to do. (Buse et al., 2005). Health policies are expected to offer methods and opportunities to develop collaboration among different sectors, organizations and people to attain a common goal of promoting health (WHO, 1986, Byrant, 2002). • 13. Does Our Technology Take Us Close To The World Of Big... Is Our Technology Taking Us Close to the World of Big Brother? Big Brother is watching you (1984, Orwell). This line has a lot of meaning to it, especially in our current era now. This quote comes from the book 1984. Despite the title, it is still a relevant book to what our world is like right now. How is it relevant to us now? Well, in the story, it talks about telescreens, which watches people all the time. In our world, police are often using security cameras, and tracking phones down to stop crime from happening. Many people believe that this is just the start to the age of Big Brother. Despite what many people believes, our technology may come closer to the world of Big Brother, but its morality and use of this idea will not become the ways of Big Brother: to watch and control what people thinks. ... An officer stated that they will only use the cameras when an incident occurs, and not watch people all the time. That is why privacy should not be an issue. Also, why do people consider their privacy an issue when they are in a public place? This is a great example of why we are not following the ideas of Big Brother. • 14. Importance Of Fuzzy Logic 6.1. IMPORTANCE OF FUZZY LOGIC Fuzzy logic is all about the relative importance of precision: use as Fuzzy Logic Toolbox software with MATLAB technical computing software as a tool for solving problems with fuzzy logic. Fuzzy logic is a fascinating area of research because it does a good job of trading off between significance and precision something that humans have been managing for a very long time. In this sense, fuzzy logic is both old and new because, although the modern and methodical science of fuzzy logic is still young, the concept of fuzzy logic relies on age old skills of human reasoning. Fig 6.1 Fuzzy Description 6.2. USAGE OF FUZZY LOGIC Fuzzy logic is a convenient way to map an input space to an output space. Mapping input to output is the starting point for everything. Consider the following examples: With information about how good your service was at a restaurant, a fuzzy logic system can tell you what the tip should be. With your specification of how hot you want the water, a fuzzy logic system can adjust the faucet valve to the right setting. With information about how far away the subject of your photograph is, a fuzzy logic system can focus the lens for you. 49 ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Instead of putting the cut down trees to any good use, they decided to just dumped them off the cliff, but what they didn t know is that these trees will provide extra salamander habitat. So that s a cool pro out of a con. With maintenance cutting down these trees, many inhabitants will be destroyed in the process which would take decades to recover. I lived next door to her, I would watch her upon nights and day in my window, brushing her silk hair as if it needed brushing, she seemed so lost, she seemed indelicate, but I never knew her, It was impossible to say she is a witch, with long hair and indifferent eyes, they seemed brown, but they had mystery in them, her face pale enough to call them dry snow as if she wasn t even living, trapped . she lived in the north side and her house was painted in a very curious dark blue, there seemed to be no plain living thing, her land contained not a strand of green grass growing, usually I wondered when I reached my door and seem rather odd to me, but was I curious enough, not at all I had heard stories about her, she seduced men and they never came out of the house every again. • 19. The Correlation Between Cancer And Prostate Cancer The finding led to the belief that the solution lied in the saturation, where the maximal growth of the prostate cancer was achieved at a low level of testosterone. This model was produced by Fowler and Whitmore, who concluded normal endogenous testosterone levels may be sufficient to cause near maximal stimulation of prostatic tumors. • 20. Analysis Of `` Killing Us Softly 4 `` By Jean Kilbourne Whether we realize it or not, we are constantly surrounded by advertisements. On average, we are exposed to approximately 3,000 ads per day, through logos, billboards, and television commercials, even our choices of brands. But in today s society, one of the most used and influential tools of advertising are women. But the unfortunate thing is that women are not just viewed as actresses in these ads but as objects for people to look at, use, abuse, and more. In her fourth installment in a line of documentaries, Killing Us Softly 4, Jean Kilbourne explains the influence of advertising women and popular culture, and its relationship to gender violence, sexism and racism, and eating disorders. For women, advertising exemplifies the ideal female body. According to Kilbourne, young girls are taught from a very early age that they need to spend lots of time and money to achieve this physical perfection. But realistically this cannot be achieved. The ideal woman s body is Caucasian, very skinny, big breasts, no flaws, and pretty much no pores. This cannot be achieved because it is physically impossible to look like this; the illusion comes from the secret world of Photoshop. No woman is beautiful enough so they leave it to technology to create perfection. The supermodel Cindy Crawford said, I wish I looked like Cindy Crawford! She knew the realities of Photoshop and body image, and more women and girls need to become aware of this as well. Kilbourne uses the example of Ana ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Adam Has Suffered Under Tort Law Essay ) First and foremost, in order for us to claim for the psychiatric damage that Adam has suffered under tort law, we will have to prove that Adam is either a primary victim or a secondary victim and Adam is suffered from a recognised psychiatric illness, anxiety and stress will generally not sufficient. Primary victims are those who directly involved in the event and secondary victims are those who are suffered a psychiatric illness when someone they know is killed or injured in an accident. A recognised psychiatric condition is defined as a genuine illness or injury, needed medical evidence and has a long term effect. Adam might claim as a primary victim in this case, because a primary victim has to suffer physical injury or at a risk of physical injury and psychiatric injuries. The liability of causing psychiatric injury depends on foreseeability of physical injury, for example, in the case of Page v Smith where Mr Page suffered no physical injury but a recurrence of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and became unable to work, Smith is liable as he could reasonably foresee that Mr Page suffer physical injury. Adam could claim as a primary victim if Adam is in the zone of physical danger, I firmly believe that Adam was in the zone of danger at that time because he was seated in the row of the seat immediately behind their children and the risk of physical injury of Adam was also foreseeable, therefore, Adam owed a duty of care in relation to psychiatric damage. • 30. Social Class Variations In U. S. Family Life Social class variations in U.S. family life starts with categories of people who share a common economic position in the unequal society in which they live in (Strong and Cohen 82). Classes indicate economic indicators such as wealth and income earned. These show what people have such as bank accounts, houses, stocks, and retirement plans, but eliminates their debt such as credit cards, loans, and mortgages. Social class is known to have structural and cultural dimensions. Structurally, social class shows our occupations that we depend on for earnings, the power it presents us with, and the opportunities we get to experience. Culturally, social class follows people s beliefs, attitudes, values, and motivations that separate them from other classes. People are grouped together in classes because of their similar incomes, amounts of wealth, degrees of occupation status, and years of education. Social class is experienced differently by people throughout life. The four classes that are used in the commonly used model are upper, middle, working, and lower classes. Upper classes represents about one percent of U.S. families and usually can be born into their fortunes or live on yearly incomes. Upper classes incomes can range from two million to hundreds of dollars. These people are professionals, corporate executives, and managers who tend to have degrees from expensive universities. They will live in private homes in separate communities away from others. Some people will separate themselves among the upper classes based on how they earn their money and how long they have lived their lives this way. Middle classes are considered the largest class among U.S. families. Occupations in this class are found to be highly paid professionals such as lawyers, doctors, and engineers. They have annual incomes that can reach from hundreds to thousands of dollars. Middle class people are typically college educated, but may not have entered the same expensive universities as the upper classes. They still have earned and achieved advanced degrees. Middle class earners enjoy luxuries such as their own home, vacations, and can provide their children with necessities throughout life such as college educations. White collar ... This means there has been a dramatic increase in international trade in the last century (Roser, 2017). Even by half the time of fifty years there was even more growth. What may have led to the growth of international trade during this time? This paper will study the cause for the surge in international trade. International trade has been a part of life from the time people could travel to other places, be it by their own power in walking, or by use of an animal to ride, then by ships, followed by trains, automobiles, and finally airplanes. As with every invention, technological advancements enhanced each one of these modes of transportation, perhaps, besides by a person own power. This allows for movement of products to move faster across nations, though these advancements were long before the time we will explore further in this paper, they can be seen as an important part of international trade. The last century has brought many technological advancements. The newest invention to assist the growth of international trade. Why do sodium ions need channels in order to move into and out of cells? The sodium ions need channels in order to move into and out of the cell because if the cell let any type of ion in, the cell would become toxic. This is why nerve cells regulate the amount of ions that enter and leave the cell. Also creating the negative resting potential of a nerve cell, which can fire an action potential and conduct nerve impulses. These channels allow for the swift intake of sodium ions and the change in net charge over an extremely short period of time. Sodium ions are also too big to enter the cell without the help of these channels. 11. What would happen to a neuron if it were exposed to tetrodotoxin? Be specific regarding its effect on the ability of a neuron to communicate. When a neuron is exposed to tetrodotoxin, its ability to draw sodium into the cell is stopped. There is a guanidino group attached to the tetrodotoxin that is drawn into the cell. These toxic molecules don t leave the sodium channel and block any sodium from entering the neuron. It takes minutes for the toxin to leave the channel and they are often drawn right back into the channel once they detach. When an action potential tries to fire in a cell with blocked sodium channels, nothing happens. The potential can t be completed and the overall charge of the neuron remains negative, leading to ... Fungi such as mushroom, molds, and yeasts are eukaryotic cells with a true nucleus. Most fungi are multicellular and their cell wall is composed of chitin. They obtain nutrients by absorbing organic material from their environment decomposers, through symbiotic relationships with plants (symbionts), or harmful relationships with a host (parasites). They form characteristic filamentous tubes called hyphae that help absorb material. The collection of hyphae is called mycelium. Fungi reproduce by releasing spores. Protozoa are unicellular aerobic eukaryotes. They have a nucleus, complex organelles, and obtain nourishment by absorption or ingestion through specialized structures. They make up the largest group of organisms in the world in terms of numbers, biomass, and diversity. Their cell walls are made up of cellulose. Protozoa have been traditionally divided based on their mode of locomotion: flagellates produce their own food and use their whip like structure to propel forward, ciliates have tiny hair that beat to produce movement, amoeboids have false feet or pseudopodia used for feeding and locomotion, and sporozoans are non motile. They also have different means of nutrition, which groups them as autotrophs or heterotrophs.
