The Robot Invasion Analysis
Running from denying the fact that robots are taking over is only delaying the inevitable, robots will
soon take over they could be among the people right now looking like humans. In the passage The
Robot Invasion by Charlie Gillis he exclaimed that robots are on the rise and getting used to the fact
would be beneficial. This work by Charlie Gillis made his point proficiently when he uses the
foundations from others in robot engineering.
The robot invasion talks about bringing the people to a day when robots simple and complex, are a
part of everyone s daily lives. It could be possible that robots would become more like people to the
point that it would be all right to share work and home spaces. But a couple of problems arise when it
comes to that, one problem is that nothing stays the same no matter how long so it would be
problematic if robots do not have the capacity to respond. Next is the fear that the robots are going to
take over, roboticists will always think about the uncanny valley a premise which is assumed that
people dislike robots that do not act perfectly like humans. For something that was created for the
public, author s article gave some eccentric and logical points. ... Show more content on

Vagueness, Ambiguity In Critical Thinking
Teo Camy 4) Explain the concept of vagueness, ambiguity, over generality and definition as used in
critical thinking. Provide examples. Based on Oxford dictionary, the definition of vague is uncertain,
indefinite, or unclear character or meaning (Oxford Dictionaries, n.d.). Vagueness in critical thinking
is an unclear situation with insufficient details given. For example, if we were asked to describe one
particular person who we met for the first time, we will describe looking for the person. He is a tall
man, skinny but little fat, with black pupils . These characteristics are not going to give an image of
that person to others because these features are too common and there are no specific detailed features
being described. Another simple example of vagueness is there are many people in the concert last
night . The statement stated that there are a lot of people, but it does not give any image of how many
people exactly or approximately that attend the concert. Furthermore, another example of sentence
with vague meaning is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
(Individual) Critical Thinking is a compulsory subject which most students have to study when they
reach university level. The question is why do students have to study this particular subject? In my
opinion, it is because employers in the current market will be looking for thinking skills in university
graduates, with many seeing it as criteria to have these skills while they are choosing their employees.
Many may ask, what is critical thinking? Chaffee defined critical thinking as a purposeful, organized
cognitive process that we use to understand the world and make informed decisions. In simple words,
critical thinking is the ability to think clearly and rationally. Generally, critical thinking skill has been
regarded as one of the most essential living skills in life. The question is how critical thinking skill
would help us in real life and to what

East Coast Yacht s Expansion Plans
Corporate Finance:
Chapter 5: Financing East Coast Yacht s Expansion Plans with a Bond
1. If the company benefits from the provision of the bond, then the coupon rate will be higher. If the
bondholder s benefit, then the bond will have lower coupon rate.
a. Bond s with collateral will have lower coupon rate as bondholders have claim on collateral no
matter what. It provides an asset which lowers default risk. Downside to company is that this
collateral cannot be sold as an asset and needs to maintain it.
b. The more senior the bond, the lower the coupon rate.
c. A sinking fund reduces coupon rate because it provides a kind of future guarantee to bondholders.
The company must make payments into the sinking fund or default so it must ... Show more content

Coupon bond principal payment at maturity = 30,000($1,000) = $30,000,000
The principal payment for the zero coupon bonds at maturity will be:
Zero coupon bond payment at maturity = 139,827($1,000) = $139,827,000
4. Annual coupon bond payments = 30,000($1,000)(.08) = $2,400,000
Since the interest payments are tax deductible, the aftertax cash flow from the interest payments will
be:
Aftertax coupon payments = $2,400,000(1 .35) = $1,560,000
Even though interest payments are not actually made each year, the implied interest on the zero
coupon bonds is tax deductible. The value of the zero coupon bonds next year will be:
Value of zero in one year = $1,000/1.0819 = $231.71
5. P = $40({1 [1/(1 + .03)]26 } / .03) + $1,000[1 / (1 + .03)26] P = $1,178.77
And, if the Treasury rate is 9.10 percent, the make whole call price in 7 years is:
P = $40({1 [1/(1 + .0475)]26 } / .0475) + $1,000[1 / (1 + .0475)26] P = $889.35
So, the growth on the zero coupon bond was:
Zero coupon growth = $231.71 214.55 = $17.26
This increase in value is tax deductible, so it reduces taxes even though there is no cash flow for
interest payments. So, there is a positive cash flow created next year in the amount of:
Zero cash flow = 139,827($17.26)(.35) = $839,989.70
This cash flow will increase each year since the value of the zero coupon bond will increase by a
greater dollar amount each year.

My Culture Is An Important Aspect Of Life
Culture is an important aspect of life. It influences each individual s life, allowing them to become the
person they are. Each person contributes a small part of their culture into society, creating a broader
culture. Because I live in an urban environment where many cultures have come together, I am aware
of how it influences me daily. When I was younger culture was not something I thought about,
however, as I got older I realized that it is an important part of my life.
My culture is a mixture of both American and Sri Lankan. I notice values and practices from each
culture that I apply to my life every day. I have taken both the individualistic and communalistic
attributes from both cultures and modified them to fit me. My American influence is often displayed
when I refuse to be complacent with the sexist behaviors of the Sri Lankan culture. When these verbal
or nonverbal actions are done in front of me, I speak up for myself. Defending myself from sexist
family members and voicing my opinion is part of my American culture. If I had lived in Sri Lanka I
would not be able to do so, easily.
Growing up in America, I am able to avoid the restrictive roles imposed on women in Sri Lanka.
Although I feel proud of this aspect there are still sections of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

In addition to adopting the cultural norms of America, specifically Los Angeles, I retained the cultural
norms passed to me from my parents. Although I often benefit from these two cultures, there are
instances when they conflict each other. For example, when communicating with an individual from
the Sri Lankan community I am more polite and use a more gentle tone of voice. This is often
interpreted as shy or soft spoken by an individual with an American background. Because I am often
told to speak louder, I realized that the Sri Lankan method of communication surpassed the American

Compare And Contrast Ashoka The Great Of The Mauryan...
There are many emperors that had earned great titles during their reigns in South Asian History.
Among those emperors, only two had earned the title the Great besides Alexander the Great of
Macedonia during the ancient Greek. Both of them ruled in different centuries and in different
empires. They are known as Ashoka the Great of the Mauryan Empire and Akbar the Great of the
Mughal Empire.
Ashoka Maurya ruled ancient India from 268 B.C. until 232 B.C after the death of his father, the
second emperor of the Mauryan Empire, Bindusara in 272 B.C. During Bindusara s reign, Ashoka was
appointed as the governor for Ujjain while his older brother, Susima was the governor for Taxila.

Instead of sending out spies, he ordered his officials to take care of his people s welfare in the
kingdom. He had roads built around his empire so he could easily visit the different provinces in his

communication. He had wells dug, rest houses were built and shade trees were planted for merchants,
travellers and his officials to rest along their journey. Hospitals and clinics were also built for the
welfare of the poor. He abolished death penalty and banned the sacrifice of animals.
After approximately forty years of ruling the Mauryan Empire, Ashoka the Great died in 232 BC. His
rule marked the golden age of the Mauryan Empire. Not only did Ashoka manage to conquer such
huge empire which covered almost all Indian subcontinent, he even spread Buddhism throughout
India and other countries. About fifty years after the death of Ashoka, the Mauryan Empire started to
decline which ended the period in 185

Media s Role in Anorexia
Media s Role in Anorexia Many individual s today would argue that most health problems develop
from media. For example, the Modeling Industry is mainly nothing but tall and very slender women.
Most would agree that adolescent females see the size of most models and assume that is what is
considered beauty. Media does not promote anorexia to distort women s body images. Most women
that starve themselves do not do it because of television, movies, or magazines, etc. They starve
themselves to make them feel better and to uplift their self esteem. Media does not play a role in
anorexia because of three main reasons: environmental factors, exercising, and dieting. One reason
media does not play a role in anorexia is because of environmental factors. Howard Steiger, the
director of the eating disorders program at McGill University, research has shown that Eating
disorders are a product of epigenetics . . . (Cresswell 1). This means that not everyone is susceptible to
the eating disorder of anorexia, and that it is a genetic disorder. Steiger also continued to say, People
do not develop eating disorders because they are . . . weak willed, but because they carry measurable
susceptibilities that may or may not be activated by various pressures in the environment (Cresswell
1). Many people and parents often wonder What did I do wrong? when in actuality it has nothing to do
with them and we now have evidence and facts to prove that. However, on the other hand, Judy Siegel

How Does Patrick Henry Use Ethos In Speech In The Virginia...
In Speech in the Virginia Convention, Patrick Henry uses a variety of literary techniques such as
ethos, pathos, and logos in order to be persuasive in his nonfiction writings. One of these techniques,
however, was more effective than the rest. Henry s use of ethos as a persuasive appeal from his ethical
position to his audience s was most convincing due to the expertise, character, and ethics that he was
able to develop. Expertise was developed in this speech mostly by Patrick Henry s repetitive use of we
and us. He purposefully used these pronouns to create a connection with the audience and to show he
is a part of what he is talking about rather than an unrelated onlooker. Also, this allowed him to gain
credibility and inform that he has first hand experience with the topic he is talking about. By doing
this Henry is able to call on the ethics of the audience to be more persuasive. Henry uses this
technique again when he says, I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided; and that is the lamp
of experience (Line 33). This sentence also represents his use of ethos as it specifically cites that he
has experience. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the first paragraph Henry does this by explaining that anything he says is not meant to be
disrespectful or alienate what the other men have said. He also specifically mentions that his opinions
will have a character very opposite to theirs (Line 10). Patrick Henry said this to show that he was
alert to his audience and to inform them that he planned to speak forth [his] sentiments freely and
without reserve (Line 11). In addition, Henry spoke respectfully throughout his entire speech by
addressing the audience properly as gentlemen and the president as sir. By doing this he was able to
seem more respectable to the audience which once again appeals to

Elizabeth Gaskell s The Industrial Revolution Affected...
During the Victorian era, there were specific expectations set for women and men. Men expected to be
fathers and heads of households, whereas women were expected to simply be in the home, dependent
of their husbands. The only alternatives for unmarried women were either religious life or prostitution.
Elizabeth Gaskell comments on these expectations in her novel Mary Barton, especially through the
actions of the titular character, during the Industrial Revolution. While the Mary Barton can often be
read in the context of the economic changes in society, it also provides significant commentary
regarding the gendered aspects of life. To put it simply, the Industrial Revolution affected everyone
and everything; Elizabeth Gaskell illustrates ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Gaskell characterizes her, Mary dwelt upon and enjoyed the idea of some day becoming a lady, and
doing all the elegant nothings appertaining to ladyhood. (Gaskell 79) She is initially a stereotypical
young girl, but later develops into a strong character. Because of the Industrial Revolution s
substantial impacts, Mary s characterization is a reaction to these impacts. Gaskell recognized that the
period was very dynamic, especially regarding the roles of women (Al Haj 1134). Pearl Brown notes,
Mary Barton reflects on the impact at mid century of this new culture on gender roles (Brown 346).
The Industrial Revolution served as a catalyst leading to a change of women s roles out of necessity.
Mary s characterization, especially at the latter half of the novel, is atypical. She was initially
introduced as a girl stuck in a love triangle, but after the death Harry Carson, she becomes a heroic
character, making her own decisions. Necessity was a primary factor; the Bartons were on the edge of
poverty for much of the novel. This reality forced Mary to work, much to her father s protest. He
believes he should be the primary provider; John Barton recommends she becomes a servant, a very
feminine career. Instead Mary decides to become a seamstress; Brown points out it was a job with a
possibility of a future managing a shop or perhaps owning he own (348). Mary not only becomes a
significant breadwinner for her family, but also has the

Apollandsian Vs Dionyysian
Friedrich Nietzsche believed that art fit into two categories: the Apollonian and the Dionysian, or
sometimes a combination of the two. The Apollonian consists of visual art and poetry, while the
Dionysian is music and dancing. But lyrical music, or poetry in music form, is a combination of the
two. Revenge of the Dadaists by The Agonist is this kind of song, as there is emphasis on both the
lyrics and the music. Within the lyrics is an indirect description of the wisdom of Silenus and its
reversal: where life is horrible and death is the end goal, but then art justifies life s problems and
eternal life is desired. The singer also sings in the first person, thus surrendering subjectivity through
the music. And the words imitate the sound ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
But since lyrical music is a combination of both the Apollonian and the Dionysian, it is hard to say
which it supports. Even with the constant use of I throughout many songs, including Revenge of the
Dadaists, it s hard to say if this is the songwriter s voice, the singer s voice, or the universal voice of
humanity in general. Nietzsche says that In the first place, as Dionysian artist he has identified himself
with the Primal Unity, its pain and contradiction... Now, however, under the Apollonian dream
inspiration, this music reveals itself to him again as a symbolic dream picture... The artist has already
surrendered his subjectivity in the Dionysian process. The picture which now shows him his identity
with the heart of the world, is a dream scene, which embodies the primordial contradiction and
primordial pain, together with the primordial joy, of appearance (511 512). In other words, despite the
I used throughout the song, the fact that it is set to music makes the I become part of the Dionysian,
thus representing the whole world. So even while the singer sings about personal issues, these
problems become dreamlike and universal so anyone can connect to them. Thus everyone knows and
feels the singer s pain through contradiction. So in Revenge of the Dadaists, the lyrics You leave

School High School
The question that most students possess coming out of high schools usually refers to what s next or
what do I want to do with my life? I think that it is important that people have these questions at their
disposal because it forces students to not only evaluate their strengths but also discover what really
makes them happy. The reason for this correlates towards people striving to work in an area that
makes them happy but also provides them with the money they desired in order for life to be exciting.
Whether students consider going to a four year school straight out of high school or going into the
workforce, it should be a decision that fits both their lifestyle and future passion. High schools have
definite and solidified purposes when it comes to teaching students. One of the main ideas is that high
schools should prepare students for the creativity in the future wherever it may take them. A key
message that Ken Robinson stated during his TED TALK was that classes and tests are driven more
towards standards and less correlated with the creative aspect, which has been lost. This may be
extremely detrimental because creativity allows people to take different paths that best fit their
individual characteristics. It allows students to maximize their abilities on assignments and better
benefit them. The main reason that I think creativity has diminished within many classes may attribute
to the shift towards more of a neoliberal system.

2008. It is the one of the main problem facing by India in his way of development. Corruption is not a

civilizations it is clearly demonstrated that bribery was a serious problem among the Jews, Chinese,

Indian economy has grabbed steam and the Nation has started to be specified in the same class as
China. Also nobody has ascribed the increasing speed of the rate of development to a sudden diminish
in defilement in India. It would be tricky to contend that the level of defilement in India is altogether
not the same as that in Pakistan. Furthermore on the off chance that somebody does contend the case,
it would be of significant enthusiasm to go into the purposes behind the distinction. An exchange of
the reasons for defilement could yield some significant pointers in regards to the measures that could
help lessening its commonness. A centered discourse of defilement would profit from characterizing it
barely as the ill use of open office for private increase. This would recognize it from other criminal
acts like extortion, theft, blackmail and coercion, all of which can be conferred by private people not
holding open office. It would likewise help to consider independently the phenomena of low what s
more abnormal state defilement, separately. Low level defilement (best described as chai paani

Compare And Contrast Sleepy Hollow And The Legend Of...
In 1820 Washington Irving wrote the classic short story, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow . In his version
no one knew what happened to Ichabod Crane, however there was some theories. The townsfolk of a
small backwoods town, Sleepy Hollow, just knew the Headless Horseman had come for him. Thus,
making nature win. In 1999 Tim Burton directed a movie that was based on Washington Irving s short
story. In his version everyone knew what happened to Ichabod Crane. He left the little town with
Katrina Van Tassel and Young Masbath after finding out how to stop the Headless Houseman. Which,
is making science win. The film version and the short story version both had the same theme, science

Even though Ichabod Crane saw the Headless Horsemen with his own eyes, he still thought science
and logic was superior. When he saw the Headless Horsemen for the first time he was in a state of
panic, did not know what to believe in anymore. Eventually, he got a grip on himself and says there
must be an explanation for everything, and therefore believes there is a perfectly logical explanation
for what is happening in the town of Sleepy hollow. However, once Ichabod Crane, Young Masbath,
and Katrina Van Tassel went into the Western Woods and found the Headless Horseman burial site and
they saw him spring forth from the dead blood tree. This made Ichabod Crane question everything
aging since the tree represents the bringing together of two worlds. (50:00) He came back to logic and
science when he figured out that someone was controlling the Headless Horsemen to kill all these
people. (59:01) He always managed to find his way back to science and logic. When Ichabod Crane

Sonnet Analysis
Reclaiming the Sonnet:
Cummings and Millay s Contemporary Use of the Classical Poetic Form Fourteen lines, iambic
pentameter, rhyme scheme the classical form of the sonnet has been employed by poets since the
thirteenth century. Whether the Italian Petrarchan, the English Shakespearean or other variations on
the quatorzain, some of the most widely read poets have risen to fame as sonneteers. Typically sonnets
address romantic love or lust, but occasionally poets will lyrically meditate on nature, spirituality or
other universal aspects of the human condition; however, modern poets have broken from the
traditional sonnet form and subject matter to put a contemporary twist on the popular fourteen line
model. American poets E.E. Cummings ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The speaker personifies his nation, proclaiming with second person pronouns, i love you land of the
pilgrims and so forth and later stating, thy sons acclaim your glorious name. The orator muses over
America s war efforts the way other poets might idolize a young fair maiden or exalt the wonders of
the natural world, the speechmaker inquires, why talk of beauty, claiming, what could be more
beautiful than these heroic happy dead who rushed like lions to the roaring slaughter. Cummings
points out the absurdity of extreme patriotism and the dangers accompanying glorified militarism with
a speaker who praises his nation s violent efforts with the romantic rhetoric of love poetry.
In addition to the heightened romantic language of the love poem, occasionally sonneteers will also
utilize capitalization to convey a specific emotion regarding the poem s subject. For example, in his
popular 116th and 18th sonnets, respectively, Shakespeare plays with capitalization in several lines,
including Love s not Time s fool and Nor shall Death brag. Capitalizing certain words that encompass
great meaning or emotion as Shakespeare indicates with Time and Death aids poets in emphasizing the
essential nature of said terms and their importance within the sonnet.

Many people have impacted America in the past. These people included writers, soldiers, presidents,
actors, inventors, athletes, musician, and artists. Eli Whitney is known for inventing the cotton gin and
promoting interchangeable parts. Did Whitney deserve praise for the cotton gin and the idea of
interchangeable parts? Yes, his cotton gin increased cotton production and interchangeable parts
allowed faster assembly lines. Whitney met Catherine Greene, a widow of a Revolutionary war
veteran and Phineas Miller, a manager of Greene s plantation Mulberry Grove, near Savannah, in
Georgia after accepting an offer to study law there. Greene and Miller addressed the lack of
production for cotton in their plantation. Whitney created the cotton gin

The War Of New Orleans
The War of 1812 is probably our most obscure conflict. Although a great deal has been written about
the war, the average American is only vaguely aware of why we fought or who the enemy was. Even
those who know something about the contest are likely to remember only a few dramatic moments,
such as the writing of The Star Spangled Banner, the burning of the nation s capital, or the Battle of
New Orleans. Why is this war so obscure? One reason is that no great president is associated with the
conflict. Although his enemies called it Mr. Madison s War, James Madison was shy and deferential,
hardly measuring up to such war leaders as Abraham Lincoln, Woodrow Wilson, or Franklin
Roosevelt. Moreover, the best American generals in this war Andrew Jackson, Jacob Brown, and
Winfield Scott were unable to turn the tide because each was confined to a one or two theaters in a
war that had seven or eight theaters. No one like George Washington, Ulysses Grant, or Dwight
Eisenhower emerged to put his stamp on the war and to carry the nation to victory. Another reason for
the obscurity of this war is that its causes are complex and little understood today. Most scholars agree
that the war was fought over maritime issues, particularly the Orders in Council, which restricted
American trade with the European Continent, and impressment, which was the Royal Navy s practice
of removing seamen from American merchant vessels. In contemporary parlance, the war was fought

Causes Of The German PeasantsRevolts
The crop failure of the early sixteenth century created intense economic and later physical warfare
between the German peasantry and that of the princes and nobility. However, it was the oppression
and unjust laws created by such authorities later that actually initiated the riots and plundering done by
the peasants on the property of the nobles. This aggression, backed originally by Lutheran principles,
led to several mixed responses by both Germanic nobles and religious figures. By the end of the
German Peasants War, the economic conditions of such peasants did moderately change, however, it
was the lay rulers and other religious figures that benefited, authoritatively, from the rebellion.
Furthermore, the main cause of the German peasants revolts was that of the oppression by lords and
princes in conjunction with coerced serfdom that was occurring during this time. As seen in Document
Two, Sebastian Lotzer, a lay preacher, acknowledges the true start of the revolts as the oppression felt
by peasants to complete their dues without proper compensation. This representation of unjust
treatment is communicated by the spokesmen of all peasants, the Peasant Parliament, which states that
the peasants would not reject authority if such is fair and reasonable . This call for an end to serfdom
is realized in Document Eight when Lorenz Fries, an advisor to a noble, has an epiphany that the
oppression done by the nobles will lead to a troublesome outcome . This author is

Introduction to Management Organisations
*BUS1001 Introduction to Management Organisations E*ssay for Semester 1, 2008/9 According to
Pettinger (2002), management can variously be defined as a science, profession and art and its status
lies somewhere between the three with strong elements of each . Is management a profession were you

(1994)) or is it a skill/ personality in which a manager is has it in their genes from birth? The answer
to this question undouptfully helps identify what is meant by management. Unfortunate the answer to
this question has not been answered, although many theorists have tried to identify and explain what

and organisations profit margins, but in fact in long term future production could fall due to
employees felt dissatisfied and felt like machines. There jobs became repetitive and specialised to

Desert Desert Environment
The deserts of central Australia make up a unique ecoregion. As it may be properly assumed, an arid
desert environment is not easy to adapt to. Many different species, including birds, reptiles, mammals,
and various plants are able to thrive in such conditions. Human impacts on the island continent have
interrupted the success of some of these species. One group of species that have been very negatively
impacted by human interaction are small digging mammals. These mammals are typically small and
almost rodent like. Although small, digging mammals, such as Macrotis lagotis (the Greater Bilby),
have a large impact on the vegetation biodiversity of the ecoregion. They use their front paws to dig
into the ground while they search for food. In the process, diggings capture organic matter, provide
habitat for a diversity of microscopic and macroscopic organisms, and increase nutrient cycling.
Diggings also capture plant seeds, increasing seedling germination, recruitment, and plant growth. The
overall effect of mammal diggings is therefore increased plant vigor and resilience, increased
biodiversity and consequently improved ecosystem functioning (Fleming et al 2014). Due to various
impacts by human, these small mammals have quickly been declining. The large impact humans have
had on the small mammals is the introduction of invasive species. Felis catus (feral cat) and Vulpes
vulpes (fox) are overpopulated invaders who prey on species such as Macrotis lagotis and other small

Pathological Defence Of Criminal Justice
Before an individual may be convicted of a crime he or she needs to be held criminally liable for that
criminal act. However only those with criminal capacity may be held responsible and punished. This
essay shall begin by discussing the concept of criminal responsibility as well as how this concept is
applied in regard to pathological offenders, who do not have the required criminal capacity but have
committed the crime.
Black s Law Dictionary defines criminal responsibility as referring to an individual s mental capacity
to stand before the court and answer for their actions. Furthermore Black s Law Dictionary explores
the two different meanings of this concept. Firstly; he who is responsible under legal provisions is

A defect of reason was experienced by Mr Mcbride when he shot his wife; Mrs Mcbride. Evidence
from a medical practitioner proved that Mr Mcbride knew that the act of killing his wife was wrong.
Nonetheless, he was unable to act in accordance with this knowledge. Mr Mcbride was diagnosed with
an endogenous depression during the act of killing his wife. It is the endogenous depression that
caused his incapacity to act lawfully at the time of the crime. Section 78 (6) and section 78 (1) of the

Key Features Of Image Enhancement
A. Image enhancement Image enhancement is the process of adjusting digital images so that the
results are more suitable for display or further image analysis. For example, you can remove noise,
sharpen, or brighten an image, making it easier to identify key features. Image enhancement mainly
includes some process: A.1 Convert a Colored Image into Gray Image Every digital image mainly
comprises of three components or it is made up of three colors that is RGB (Red Green and Blue) and
each image is represented in a 3 dimensional which is very difficult to analysis and process. Therefore
to overcome some difficulty initially each image is first converted into a gray image which is made up
of white and black components of varying intensity. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
So on, it moves until the end of a column and calculate the total sum of differences between adjacent
pixels. At the end, an array containing the column wise sum is created. The same process is carried out
to find the vertical array. In this case, rows are processed instead of columns. A.4 Filtering out
Unwanted Regions in an Image Once the arrays are passed through a low pass digital filter, a filter is
applied so that to remove undesirable areas from an image which includes the horizontal and vertical
components of array with low values. Generally low value indicates the plain areas with characters it
is due to the fact that intensity of each neighboring pixel of plain areas contains a similar intensity or
pixel values such that during horizontal and vertical processing the difference between them is
negligible but in case of edges and specially numeric characters the difference between adjacent pixel
is high due to variation of intensity, which results into a high array value for such part of an image.
Therefore, the required area of region of interest with probable number has a high values while areas
with small value are undesirable and such regions are filtered out by applying a certain threshold. In
this algorithm, the threshold is equal to the average value of an array. Both row and column vectors
are passed through a filter with this threshold, so that the final output

To examine whether or not there is a link between drought and water quality types of drought had to
be examined in order to choose which drought index to use. A drought is deficiency in precipitation
over some period of time. Water shortages can include impacts on vegetation, animals, and/or people.
For this project, The Palmer Hydrological Index was chosen because it provides numerical
classifications of drought. The PHDI includes standardized calculations for each location based on
temperature and precipitation variability of the specific location. This type of calculation makes the
data collection and analysis easier, as impairment can be compared to a numerical value and drought
is calculated specifically based on the regions temperature and precipitation variability. Different data
sets between states and the frequency of drought were examined over time by the group as whole, to
bring about a time series and correlation. Team players in this group developed skills working with
others and experts, such as Dr. Carbone and Dr. Tufford who provided resources and advice during the

Miss Brill Illusion Vs Reality
The mind creates a world of illusion, by changing our thoughts; we change the illusion, and
experience a different reality. If we say that a real thing is something that always exists, with no gaps,
then the outside world is not real. Katherine Mansfield captures the theme of illusion vs. reality in her
short story Miss Brill the main character Miss Brill is fascinated with the surprise of having an almond
in her honey cake. The almond symbolizes how Miss Brill sees herself in society as the honey cake
represents the people. The way Miss Brill tries to fit in, the loneliness she endures and analyzing the
ending of the story shows how her imagination has taken the best of her.

In her fantasy world Miss Brill enjoys a feeling of superiority (Parquette, 1952) as her illusions takes
the best of her as she believes she is a actress and that everyone around her is in this play. These flat

With herself being the almond and those around her being the honey cake, the emotion she feels when
going to the bakery and noticing an almond in her honey cake means that she believes she is suited for
the role of those at the park. Although in reality she is a lonely English teacher, she puts her profession

Miss Brill doesn t see herself as being lonely; she merely just wants to be apart of something that can
bring an adventure. The illusions she makes are caused by feeling alienated to the world, throughout
the story she is mostly just watching people instead of interacting with them. This can be her way of
probably feeling sad when she doesn t see an almond in her honey cake, as she is disconnected to the
people around her. Her weekly routine is to shadow her true feelings within

dose of pathos. Pathos is the key to his speech because when something as bad as the Attack on Pearl

this attack. Especially when President Roosevelt said this, No matter how long it may take us to

the people ready to go to war. Although there were some people disagreeing, but they were silenced by

The Games Of Thrones By George R.r
Introduction
The Games of Thrones is a 1st book in A song of Ice and Fire . It is a fantastic adaptation of George
R.R. Martin. The story of The Games of Thrones is original , multi layered with lots of sub plots, and
is non formulaic. It is incredibly exciting ,joyful, suspenseful ,mysterious, and very unpredictable and
there is no way for you to know what is going to happen in this novel. The story is also very violent .
The characters are well developed and enjoyable whereas some characters are even clever and
secretive. Unlike most fantasy books, Martin s characters are not totally good or evil. His characters
are also very personable so we can think of them as real people and can develop strong emotions
towards them throughout the novel. Many of the characters in the novel The Games of Thrones are
killed off and new ones appear throughout the novel. The title sequence consists of a three
dimensional map of the world, which includes the continents of Westeros and Essos, located on the
inner surface of a sphere. At the center of the sphere is a light source, a sun surrounded by an astrolabe
like arrangement of rotating rings. The Game of Thrones is set in the SevenKingdoms of Westeros of
Medieval Europe. Here in the novel The Games of Thrones we see that brothers plots against each

the children in the main part of the school who are more intellectual. The headmaster asked Mr Briggs
to assist Mrs Kay on the trip as he thinks Mrs Kay is not capable and has the control to take the
children on a trip. She is more like a mother or a friend to the children than the teacher she is meant to
be. She always reminds me of a mother hen rather than a teacher .
At the core of the play the contrast lies between Mrs Kay and Mr Briggs and their respective
educational philosophies. Mr Briggs is more concerned that the trip, in which he had no part in
organising, should be an educational experience for the pupils and is appalled both by her attitude and
handling of the pupils. The characters are deliberately created as opposites. None of the other charters
in the play are created in as much detail as Mrs Kay and Mr Briggs. The language used by the pupils
in the progress class is clearly recognisable that they are from the inner city of

Erling Persson, a name that we don t hear everyday, but in the fashion industry, he is well known. If
you don t recognize his name, the store H M might ring a bell. Erling Persson was born on January 21,
1917. He originally lived in a small town by the name of Borlange, in central Sweden. Later on in his

Life Goals Essay
Thomas Carlyle once said, Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you will see farther. I
strongly believe that if one plans on achieving his aspirations, setting goals is a very important step.
Having goals not only gives you a clear focus on things, but it also helps you to organize your plans by
allowing you to give yourself time limits and boundaries. That is why I try to set goals for myself
routinely, whether it is just for one day, or for the rest of my life. One goal that I work hard at daily is
to do well in high school. I try to involve myself in any activity that I can, both academically and
socially, so that I can graduate with honors. The reason I do this is because I plan on going to college,
and I would like to be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I will also be ready to buy my first car, and then, my first home. My intentions are to live in Oregon.
Before I turn fifty, one of my major goals is to start a private investigator business. My children will
be put through college and out of my house, and my wife and I will be on our way to retirement, after
we sell our business. By then, I plan on being very stable, if not rich. Either way, I will be able to
donate money and give back to my community what they have given to me. I also plan on adopting or
fostering children after my own kids move out. I see my goals as tangible, and they are well within my
reach if I stretch my arms to touch them. I work hard for these things not only to make a good life for
myself, but to make a wonderful life for my future children. Setting goals for myself prevents me from
becoming sidetracked, and it allows me to push harder and further for my aspirations. If I maintain my
focus, nothing will ever defer my

Anxiety And Mood Disorder Analysis
Anxiety and mood disorders are psychiatric problems characterized by a feeling of apprehensiveness
about a probable future danger and alterations in mood over a long period of time respectively
(Butcher, Hooley, Mineka, 2016). Both disorders are associated with reasonable impairment, distress,
mortality, and morbidity especially in children.
One of the factors causing an alarming increase in the diagnosis of mood and anxiety disorders in the
recent past is the increased incidence of psychopathology (John Stirling, 2013). This phenomenon out
rightly underpins the disease progress since psychiatric disorders have a high level of comorbidity
(DeRubeis Strunk, 2017). Alcohol and drug abuse are often reported in conjunction with mood and

Effects Of Plastic Surgery Among Teenagers
Plastic Surgery amongst Teenagers is on the rise In the year 2015, where here in the United States
following the lastest celebrities has become an influence on many teens across the Unites States, what
I mean by influence is plastic surgery. You see it everywhere it s on TV, on billboards, on the radio and
all over the magazines. It seems as if everything a well known celebrity does teens want to do also.
And what celebrity has gotten done to enhance herself teens often look at this as what they should
want or get too. But besides the beauty enhancement you can get from plastic surgery there are many
downfalls to surgery that many teens often forget about or don t know ... Show more content on

With all these risks, why do people still go through with this dangerous procedure? I don t think it s
worth it. But according to the opposing article www.platicsurgeons.com if patients go through the
procedure the affects will be long term and you will get what you want. In my opinion with dangerous
risks including losing your life it isn t worth it. Plastic surgery may raise self esteem, but often does
not. Many teens don t realize even the most beautiful people, including celebrities, are insecure about
their appearances. And getting plastic surgery cannot fix all of your problems. Many teens get plastice
surgery for unrealistic reason, such as to fit in with other peers or to keep up with lastest celebrities, or
to attempt to improve their physical appearance as said in the article www.wtvq.com/health the media
is the main influence that is at fault. There are all sorts of things that require maturity and judgment.
According to the Wikipedia Encyclopedia the frontal lobe of the brain does not fully develop until the
20s to 30s. That portion of the brain controls decision making, and understanding consequences. This
is another reason why teenagers should not have plastic surgery. Therefore teenagers should not
undergo the plastic surgery when you are young and surgeon should not touch the body that is not yet
fully grown. Plastic surgery is a dangerous idea for teenagers as their decision

Essay about Understanding Ecosystems in Today s Society
Introduction:
An ecosystem is all the organisms in a given area as well as the abiotic factors with which they
interact; one or more communities and the physical environment around them (Campbell, 2012, G 11).
Our aim is to observe how these factors interact with each other and give a record of our observations
in our particular ecosystem. By observing these interactions we gain an appreciation of the diversity
and complex nature of ecosystems. Through observing our environment we can make predictions of
the feeding relationships that shape the ecosystem. By observing the plant life in an ecosystem we can
predict the following heterotroph factors, as autotrophs are the providers of all energy. Through
understanding ecosystems we see that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Place chopsticks, or whatever stick objects you have, in the group in a 1x1m2 quadrat with string
wrapped around the sticks.
Count the number of plant species in the quadrat sectioning them off into five different groups, trees,
shrubs, herbs, grass and moss.
Trees being one singular wood growth while shrubs have multiple stems coming from the ground.
Grass is blade like leaves. Herbs are usually soft grass like plants with more leaves then blades. Add
these species into your table 1.
Once you ve completed this extend your quadrat to 1x2m2. Add any additional species, making sure
not to count species you ve already counted in the first quadrat, into your table 1.
Repeat this for sizes 2x2m2, 2x4m2, 4x4m2 and 8x4 meters2. Being sure to only record the new
species of plants in the table.

We Must Keep Daniel Defoe in the Literary Cannon
Daniel Defoe born in or around 1660 experienced the most complex disastrous events in England
before he was seven. In 1664 a Dutch fleet attacked London, in 1665 the plague took seventy thousand
lives and in 1666 the great fire destroyed Defoe s neighborhood expect for three houses, one being his.
Born to a family of dissenters a class of people who refused to conform to the Church of England,
Defoe was hindered with obstacles from the start. Receiving his education from a dissenter s school
and as West indicates: barred from Oxford and Cambridge and instead received three years of higher
education under the Reverend Charles Morton, a future vice president of Harvard University who

While serving as a Whig member (Whig later called the Liberal party), according to Clark he is said to
have been the author of 4 anonymous pamphlets which are credited for swaying the perception of the
Whig political ideology after the 1688 Revolution. Using his writing talents Defoe persuaded the King
to adopt his view of progress and his rationale of trade and exchange, his interpretations of the biblical
history. He contributed to England s transition of barbarous society into one of politeness. As a truly
universal writer, Defoe also had his hand in the secular beliefs. It is said that Robinson Crusoe has a
religious undertone message. In that, Robinson repented his sin of disobeying his father. Many of
Defoe works in 1726 related to his religious side. A few of these writings: The Political History of the
Devil. This is a curious book, partly explanatory of Defoe s ideas on morality, and partly belonging to
a series of demonological works which he wrote, and of which the chief others are A System of Magic
(1726), and An Essay on the History of Apparitions (1728), issued the year before under another title.
In all these works his treatment is on the whole rational and sensible; but in The History of the Devil
he is somewhat hampered by an insufficiently worked out theory as to the nature and personal
existence of his hero,

The Robot Invasion Analysis Running from denying the fact that robots are taking over is only delaying the inevitable, robots will soon take over they could be among the people right now looking like humans. In the passage The Robot Invasion by Charlie Gillis he exclaimed that robots are on the rise and getting used to the fact would be beneficial. This work by Charlie Gillis made his point proficiently when he uses the foundations from others in robot engineering. The robot invasion talks about bringing the people to a day when robots simple and complex, are a part of everyone s daily lives. It could be possible that robots would become more like people to the point that it would be all right to share work and home spaces. But a couple of problems arise when it comes to that, one problem is that nothing stays the same no matter how long so it would be problematic if robots do not have the capacity to respond. Next is the fear that the robots are going to take over, roboticists will always think about the uncanny valley a premise which is assumed that people dislike robots that do not act perfectly like humans. For something that was created for the public, author s article gave some eccentric and logical points. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 3. Vagueness, Ambiguity In Critical Thinking Teo Camy 4) Explain the concept of vagueness, ambiguity, over generality and definition as used in critical thinking. Provide examples. Based on Oxford dictionary, the definition of vague is uncertain, indefinite, or unclear character or meaning (Oxford Dictionaries, n.d.). Vagueness in critical thinking is an unclear situation with insufficient details given. For example, if we were asked to describe one particular person who we met for the first time, we will describe looking for the person. He is a tall man, skinny but little fat, with black pupils . These characteristics are not going to give an image of that person to others because these features are too common and there are no specific detailed features being described. Another simple example of vagueness is there are many people in the concert last night . The statement stated that there are a lot of people, but it does not give any image of how many people exactly or approximately that attend the concert. Furthermore, another example of sentence with vague meaning is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... (Individual) Critical Thinking is a compulsory subject which most students have to study when they reach university level. The question is why do students have to study this particular subject? In my opinion, it is because employers in the current market will be looking for thinking skills in university graduates, with many seeing it as criteria to have these skills while they are choosing their employees. Many may ask, what is critical thinking? Chaffee defined critical thinking as a purposeful, organized cognitive process that we use to understand the world and make informed decisions. In simple words, critical thinking is the ability to think clearly and rationally. Generally, critical thinking skill has been regarded as one of the most essential living skills in life. The question is how critical thinking skill would help us in real life and to what ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Downside to company is that this collateral cannot be sold as an asset and needs to maintain it. b. The more senior the bond, the lower the coupon rate. c. Each person contributes a small part of their culture into society, creating a broader culture. Because I live in an urban environment where many cultures have come together, I am aware of how it influences me daily. When I was younger culture was not something I thought about, however, as I got older I realized that it is an important part of my life. My culture is a mixture of both American and Sri Lankan. I notice values and practices from each culture that I apply to my life every day. I have taken both the individualistic and communalistic attributes from both cultures and modified them to fit me. My American influence is often displayed when I refuse to be complacent with the sexist behaviors of the Sri Lankan culture. When these verbal or nonverbal actions are done in front of me, I speak up for myself. Defending myself from sexist family members and voicing my opinion is part of my American culture. Among those emperors, only two had earned the title the Great besides Alexander the Great of Macedonia during the ancient Greek. Both of them ruled in different centuries and in different empires. They are known as Ashoka the Great of the Mauryan Empire and Akbar the Great of the Mughal Empire. Ashoka Maurya ruled ancient India from 268 B.C. until 232 B.C after the death of his father, the second emperor of the Mauryan Empire, Bindusara in 272 B.C. • 9. Media s Role in Anorexia Media s Role in Anorexia Many individual s today would argue that most health problems develop from media. For example, the Modeling Industry is mainly nothing but tall and very slender women. Most would agree that adolescent females see the size of most models and assume that is what is considered beauty. Media does not promote anorexia to distort women s body images. Most women that starve themselves do not do it because of television, movies, or magazines, etc. They starve themselves to make them feel better and to uplift their self esteem. Media does not play a role in anorexia because of three main reasons: environmental factors, exercising, and dieting. One reason media does not play a role in anorexia is because of environmental factors. Howard Steiger, the director of the eating disorders program at McGill University, research has shown that Eating disorders are a product of epigenetics . . . (Cresswell 1). This means that not everyone is susceptible to the eating disorder of anorexia, and that it is a genetic disorder. Steiger also continued to say, People do not develop eating disorders because they are . . . weak willed, but because they carry measurable susceptibilities that may or may not be activated by various pressures in the environment (Cresswell 1). • 10. How Does Patrick Henry Use Ethos In Speech In The Virginia... In Speech in the Virginia Convention, Patrick Henry uses a variety of literary techniques such as ethos, pathos, and logos in order to be persuasive in his nonfiction writings. One of these techniques, however, was more effective than the rest. Henry s use of ethos as a persuasive appeal from his ethical position to his audience s was most convincing due to the expertise, character, and ethics that he was able to develop. Expertise was developed in this speech mostly by Patrick Henry s repetitive use of we and us. He purposefully used these pronouns to create a connection with the audience and to show he is a part of what he is talking about rather than an unrelated onlooker. Also, this allowed him to gain credibility and inform that he has first hand experience with the topic he is talking about. By doing this Henry is able to call on the ethics of the audience to be more persuasive. Henry uses this technique again when he says, I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided; and that is the lamp of experience (Line 33). This sentence also represents his use of ethos as it specifically cites that he has experience. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 11. Elizabeth Gaskell s The Industrial Revolution Affected... During the Victorian era, there were specific expectations set for women and men. Men expected to be fathers and heads of households, whereas women were expected to simply be in the home, dependent of their husbands. The only alternatives for unmarried women were either religious life or prostitution. Elizabeth Gaskell comments on these expectations in her novel Mary Barton, especially through the actions of the titular character, during the Industrial Revolution. While the Mary Barton can often be read in the context of the economic changes in society, it also provides significant commentary regarding the gendered aspects of life. To put it simply, the Industrial Revolution affected everyone and everything; Elizabeth Gaskell illustrates ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Gaskell characterizes her, Mary dwelt upon and enjoyed the idea of some day becoming a lady, and doing all the elegant nothings appertaining to ladyhood. (Gaskell 79) She is initially a stereotypical young girl, but later develops into a strong character. Because of the Industrial Revolution s substantial impacts, Mary s characterization is a reaction to these impacts. Gaskell recognized that the period was very dynamic, especially regarding the roles of women (Al Haj 1134). Pearl Brown notes, Mary Barton reflects on the impact at mid century of this new culture on gender roles (Brown 346). The Industrial Revolution served as a catalyst leading to a change of women s roles out of necessity. Mary s characterization, especially at the latter half of the novel, is atypical. She was initially introduced as a girl stuck in a love triangle, but after the death Harry Carson, she becomes a heroic character, making her own decisions. Necessity was a primary factor; the Bartons were on the edge of poverty for much of the novel. This reality forced Mary to work, much to her father s protest. He believes he should be the primary provider; John Barton recommends she becomes a servant, a very feminine career. Instead Mary decides to become a seamstress; Brown points out it was a job with a possibility of a future managing a shop or perhaps owning he own (348). • 12. Apollandsian Vs Dionyysian Friedrich Nietzsche believed that art fit into two categories: the Apollonian and the Dionysian, or sometimes a combination of the two. The Apollonian consists of visual art and poetry, while the Dionysian is music and dancing. But lyrical music, or poetry in music form, is a combination of the two. Revenge of the Dadaists by The Agonist is this kind of song, as there is emphasis on both the lyrics and the music. Within the lyrics is an indirect description of the wisdom of Silenus and its reversal: where life is horrible and death is the end goal, but then art justifies life s problems and eternal life is desired. The singer also sings in the first person, thus surrendering subjectivity through the music. And the words imitate the sound ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... But since lyrical music is a combination of both the Apollonian and the Dionysian, it is hard to say which it supports. Even with the constant use of I throughout many songs, including Revenge of the Dadaists, it s hard to say if this is the songwriter s voice, the singer s voice, or the universal voice of humanity in general. Nietzsche says that In the first place, as Dionysian artist he has identified himself with the Primal Unity, its pain and contradiction... Now, however, under the Apollonian dream inspiration, this music reveals itself to him again as a symbolic dream picture... The artist has already surrendered his subjectivity in the Dionysian process. The picture which now shows him his identity with the heart of the world, is a dream scene, which embodies the primordial contradiction and primordial pain, together with the primordial joy, of appearance (511 512). In other words, despite the I used throughout the song, the fact that it is set to music makes the I become part of the Dionysian, thus representing the whole world. So even while the singer sings about personal issues, these problems become dreamlike and universal so anyone can connect to them. Thus everyone knows and feels the singer s pain through contradiction. So in Revenge of the Dadaists, the lyrics You leave footsteps of fire / So no one can ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 16. School High School The question that most students possess coming out of high schools usually refers to what s next or what do I want to do with my life? I think that it is important that people have these questions at their disposal because it forces students to not only evaluate their strengths but also discover what really makes them happy. The reason for this correlates towards people striving to work in an area that makes them happy but also provides them with the money they desired in order for life to be exciting. Whether students consider going to a four year school straight out of high school or going into the workforce, it should be a decision that fits both their lifestyle and future passion. High schools have definite and solidified purposes when it comes to teaching students. One of the main ideas is that high schools should prepare students for the creativity in the future wherever it may take them. A key message that Ken Robinson stated during his TED TALK was that classes and tests are driven more towards standards and less correlated with the creative aspect, which has been lost. This may be extremely detrimental because creativity allows people to take different paths that best fit their individual characteristics. It allows students to maximize their abilities on assignments and better benefit them. The main reason that I think creativity has diminished within many classes may attribute to the shift towards more of a neoliberal system. Instability within the education ... • 26. The War Of New Orleans The War of 1812 is probably our most obscure conflict. Although a great deal has been written about the war, the average American is only vaguely aware of why we fought or who the enemy was. Even those who know something about the contest are likely to remember only a few dramatic moments, such as the writing of The Star Spangled Banner, the burning of the nation s capital, or the Battle of New Orleans. Why is this war so obscure? One reason is that no great president is associated with the conflict. Although his enemies called it Mr. Madison s War, James Madison was shy and deferential, hardly measuring up to such war leaders as Abraham Lincoln, Woodrow Wilson, or Franklin Roosevelt. Moreover, the best American generals in this war Andrew Jackson, Jacob Brown, and Winfield Scott were unable to turn the tide because each was confined to a one or two theaters in a war that had seven or eight theaters. No one like George Washington, Ulysses Grant, or Dwight Eisenhower emerged to put his stamp on the war and to carry the nation to victory. Another reason for the obscurity of this war is that its causes are complex and little understood today. Most scholars agree that the war was fought over maritime issues, particularly the Orders in Council, which restricted American trade with the European Continent, and impressment, which was the Royal Navy s practice of removing seamen from American merchant vessels. • 27. Causes Of The German PeasantsRevolts The crop failure of the early sixteenth century created intense economic and later physical warfare between the German peasantry and that of the princes and nobility. However, it was the oppression and unjust laws created by such authorities later that actually initiated the riots and plundering done by the peasants on the property of the nobles. This aggression, backed originally by Lutheran principles, led to several mixed responses by both Germanic nobles and religious figures. By the end of the German Peasants War, the economic conditions of such peasants did moderately change, however, it was the lay rulers and other religious figures that benefited, authoritatively, from the rebellion. Furthermore, the main cause of the German peasants revolts was that of the oppression by lords and princes in conjunction with coerced serfdom that was occurring during this time. As seen in Document Two, Sebastian Lotzer, a lay preacher, acknowledges the true start of the revolts as the oppression felt by peasants to complete their dues without proper compensation. This representation of unjust treatment is communicated by the spokesmen of all peasants, the Peasant Parliament, which states that the peasants would not reject authority if such is fair and reasonable . This call for an end to serfdom is realized in Document Eight when Lorenz Fries, an advisor to a noble, has an epiphany that the oppression done by the nobles will lead to a troublesome outcome . Many different species, including birds, reptiles, mammals, and various plants are able to thrive in such conditions. Human impacts on the island continent have interrupted the success of some of these species. One group of species that have been very negatively impacted by human interaction are small digging mammals. These mammals are typically small and almost rodent like. Although small, digging mammals, such as Macrotis lagotis (the Greater Bilby), have a large impact on the vegetation biodiversity of the ecoregion. They use their front paws to dig into the ground while they search for food. In the process, diggings capture organic matter, provide habitat for a diversity of microscopic and macroscopic organisms, and increase nutrient cycling. Diggings also capture plant seeds, increasing seedling germination, recruitment, and plant growth. The overall effect of mammal diggings is therefore increased plant vigor and resilience, increased biodiversity and consequently improved ecosystem functioning (Fleming et al 2014). Due to various impacts by human, these small mammals have quickly been declining. The large impact humans have had on the small mammals is the introduction of invasive species. Generally low value indicates the plain areas with characters it is due to the fact that intensity of each neighboring pixel of plain areas contains a similar intensity or pixel values such that during horizontal and vertical processing the difference between them is negligible but in case of edges and specially numeric characters the difference between adjacent pixel is high due to variation of intensity, which results into a high array value for such part of an image. Especially when President Roosevelt said this, No matter how long it may take us to overcome this premeditated invasion, the American people in their righteous might will win through to absolute victory.(15) . He has gained his credibility because of the elections he has won and how respected he was from the great depression and he got the country out of it. While the children are on the trip they cause a lot of chaos and mischief. They do many things that they shouldn t be doing. They really enjoy the day though and don t want to go home. The trip and class frequently bother Mr Briggs throughout the play. Mr Briggs is not used to the type of children who are on the trip that he is supervising, he was asked to go on the trip by the headmaster. He teaches the children in the main part of the school who are more intellectual. The headmaster asked Mr Briggs to assist Mrs Kay on the trip as he thinks Mrs Kay is not capable and has the control to take the children on a trip. She is more like a mother or a friend to the children than the teacher she is meant to be. She always reminds me of a mother hen rather than a teacher . At the core of the play the contrast lies between Mrs Kay and Mr Briggs and their respective educational philosophies. Mr Briggs is more concerned that the trip, in which he had no part in organising, should be an educational experience for the pupils and is appalled both by her attitude and handling of the pupils. The characters are deliberately created as opposites. None of the other charters in the play are created in as much detail as Mrs Kay and Mr Briggs. The language used by the pupils in the progress class is clearly recognisable that they are from the inner city of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I strongly believe that if one plans on achieving his aspirations, setting goals is a very important step. Having goals not only gives you a clear focus on things, but it also helps you to organize your plans by allowing you to give yourself time limits and boundaries. That is why I try to set goals for myself routinely, whether it is just for one day, or for the rest of my life. One goal that I work hard at daily is to do well in high school. I see my goals as tangible, and they are well within my reach if I stretch my arms to touch them. I work hard for these things not only to make a good life for myself, but to make a wonderful life for my future children.
