Age Of Exploration Christopher Columbus
The Age of Exploration was a period of time from the 15th to 17th centuries where explorers started to
explore new lands and territories in order to find new trade routes. Europeans went west to explore
and claim the new world for their countries. The renaissance influenced these explorers to find new
lands and the reformation also influenced European explorers to spread their religion and try to
convert others to Christianity. Some of the most influential and key explores in this time period where
Christopher Columbus, Henry Hudson and Hernan Cortes.
Christopher Columbus was the one of the most influential explorers in the Age of Exploration. He was
the first European to explore the Americas. Columbus set off on his journey south from Palos Spain
with 3 ships. He believed that he would reach the edge of Japan in 10 days if he sailed west to
uncharted territory. Instead of being on the water for 10 days, he was on the water for about 30 days
and he found the americas. He landed in the bahamas and then claimed it for Spain. Christopher
Columbus should be viewed as a villain in history because he killed millions of the native Americans
with disease and overworking them. He captured thousands of natives and made them into slaves. He
also set in motion the Africans being put in the slavery. Even though he discovered the Americas he
murdered many lives. Christopher Columbus be a villain in history because of his horrible actions
towards the native people.

The Fight Over Stalingrad During World War II
As much as it is glamorized on television and video games, people have forgotten the realities of war.
For in war, soldiers and civilians alike have suffered severely, and combat has put everyone who is
involved to a true test of character. An example of the tests of war is found by looking at Germany s
failed attack on the Russian city of Stalingrad during World War II. In the fight over Stalingrad, there
are examples that demonstrate the struggles that both Russian and German soldiers faced. The
Russians, for example, had to fortify themselves first in the buildings of Stalingrad then in the rubble
of these same buildings as they watched their city crumble. However, the Russian s determination and
reinforcements changed the tide of the battle, and the German forces ultimately found themselves
surrounded by the Russians without necessary war supplies The Russian s determination to hold
Stalingrad is probably best seen in this entry in the war diary of the Russian 62nd Army on October
14, 1942, 1220: radio message from unit of 416th Regiment from hexagonal block of flats:
Surrounded; have water and cartridges; will die rather than surrender (qtd. in The Long Agony, 883).
This determination is only further presented by this statement made by the commander of the 62nd
Army, Buildings split up enemy formations like breakwaters, forcing them to follow the line of the
streets. That is why we clung to the most solid

3M Peltor WS 100 Communications Headset Review | Top of the Line Hearing Protection
In this review I will be taking at a top of the line Bluetooth enabled set of ear protection from 3M
called teh Peltor WS 100 Communications Headset. This particular set of headphones is great for
sound protection, especially if you re looking for high quality sound and the ability to engage in
person to person and phone conversations without having to remove your earmuffs.
Quick Review

In Depth Review of 3M Peltor WS 100 Communications Headset
Noise Reduction Rating (NRR)
These headphones have a NRR of 20 dB, which isn t an extreme level of protection, but it is still
really good and will be more than enough for just about every workplace and/or yard noise. In
addition to protecting your ears, these headphones also work to increase low level sounds and
decrease higher level sounds. This means that, even when wearing your Pelter hearing protection, you
ll still be able to hear people talking to you!
Another really great feature that 3M has built into these is how they protect your hearing not only
from outside noises, but also from the audio playing through the built in speakers. It has two settings
to reduce the Bluetooth sound to no more than 82 dB at all times or an 82 dB average over an 8 hour
period (which is the maximum length of exposure for that level of dB over that period of time).

Character Differences Between Hushpuppy And Chihiro
Hushpuppy and Chihiro are two of the most important and effective characters in their films. They
both try to survive in a world that they don t know anything about, and the people around them are
trying to help them. Hushpuppy is a 6 years old child that lives with her father in the bathhouse. Her
mother left her, that s what her father tells her every time she asks. She helps her father in everything
that he needs help in, he usually treats her as a 14 years old girl who needs to know about everything
and know how to do anything so she can survive in her life. Chihiro is a little girl who was lost in a
world of wonders, which was dangerous and good at the same time. She tried to save her identity by
believing that she is going to go back to the normal world and live with her parents. The first thing
that made Chihiro feel that she halves to work hard when she meet Yubaba You re called Chihiro?
That name is too long and hard to pronounce from now on you ll be called Sen. You got that? You are
Sen . Yubaba made Chihiro feel that she lost her identity, so she can live in that world and it also made
her work hard so she can have her identity back. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

didn t give up and they worked hard until the last minute. The only thing that they kept thinking of is
what is going to happen to them if they stopped, they couldn t any other way so they can survive and

Branches of Government
Former President Thomas Jefferson once said, Government are instituted among Men, deriving their
just Power from the Consent of the Governed. Since the second continental congress declared America
s independence from Great Britain on July 4, 1776 the United States government has sought to realize
the fundamental principle on which our nation was founded. This was the start of the government we
now know and still honor today. As our school children say every morning in class, as our founding
fathers wished for us, that all people have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. This
paper will answer a handful ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Each branch has separate functions and associations with the other branches. The forefathers planned
an organization by means of which each individual branch would observe the other two branches to
verify that they are acting in accordance with the fundamental laws and are not trying to overrule the
other branches and become an empire by themselves. The first branch is the Judicial Branch also
known as the court system. The Judicial branch is in place to supply the people with true merits and
qualities of laws. There are a number of powers that the judicial branch is liable for such as trying and
convicting offenders of the law which includes associates of parliament. Another part of the judicial
organization is to understand bylaws and how they relate to the latest state of affairs while also
determining the validity to the Constitution. With the previous statement in mind, the judicial branch
can also upend a ruling or law if it is found to be in disagreement of the U.S. Constitution.
The interaction among the three branches of government in America comes down to checks and
balances. Each branch has specific powers, duties, or roles outlined in the Constitution. A quick
breakdown would look like this: LEGISLATIVE Make Laws
EXECUTIVE Enforce or execute laws, JUDICIAL Interpret laws. Of course, each branch does more
than this regarding various domestic or foreign issues from taxes and the money supply to military
preparation and leadership. The

mentioned in my first assignment, I will be running as a Texas Senate State.
I will stand as a candidate from my district number 16. Currently the senator of this district is Senator
Don Huffines. 1 Who has been a Texas Senate member since 2015 until today. Huffines is a strong
Republican opponent and I will be running against him in the elections as a hybrid party who follows
the ideas of Liberal Democrat and Next Generation Left.
My slogan for the party will be People s Voice . I gain people s vote, first, I need to make my

On the basis of BallotPedia, In 2012, Huffines helped form a SuperPAC that supported Ron Paul and
spent more than $400,000 in the race and according to the campaign finance records, Huffines raised a
total of $2,439,572 in elections . He won with an outstanding number of votes. Similarly, I will also
have to spend and raise funds of a minimum three hundred thousand dollars. In order to get such huge
amount, I will need immense supports from the public and interest groups.
As previously stated, my party favors abortion and so there are few interest groups that will support
my stance like Planned Parenthood Texas Votes and few interest group like Texas Right to Life
Committee, who will oppose. In my district not everybody has their own vehicle and there are not
enough provisions for public transportation. Therefore, Texans Uniting for Reform and Freedom
interest group will help me build better transportation infrastructures in this area. Public health is
another important aspect. Since medical expenses are very high people often do not go for regular
checkups and ignore necessary health monitoring. There are lots of interest groups who will support
me regarding health issue such as; 4 Texas Hospital Association Political Action Committee, Texas
Medical Association, Texas Public Interest Research Group. Another concern is related to employment
and education opportunities for which I have the Texas State Teachers Association and Texas Public

Oral History In Canada
The use of audio records for this project is significantly important as audio records allows people to
heard the voices of those who are not heard, in this specific case, it is the voices of immigrants that are
heard. Often, there is a general belief that people come to Canada for a better life, which is true.
However, people also assume that immigrants instantly have a better life in an economic and social
way, which is not true. This is why oral history is important in this situation. Oral history will allow
immigrants to share their personal experience with immigration and new life in Canada. This will
allow the providing of a new perspective on immigration and even contradict the general beliefs on
immigrations thanks to the use of oral history. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Native American Beliefs
The Native American tribe known as Blackfoot, is not really talked about. It was never really a big
tribe that made a large name for itself. The Blackfoot Indians have the same government as most
tribes, and it has an interesting social organization. The Blackfoots also have some special customs
and traditions, along with their art and literature. The Native American government can be a little
complicated, but once it s explained it becomes clearer. The Native American government is a
monarchy, though it was not always that way. Before the Europeans invaded, they had their own form
of government. When the Europeans invaded they decided that each Native American tribe needed a
chief to rule and look over the people. The United States rejected having a monarchy for its
government, but thought that it would be acceptable to the Native Americans (Ojbiwa). The Blackfoot
had an economy based on buffalo hunting, therefore their government was one based around buffalo
hunting and movements. The title of chief, usually men, is not hereditary, the chief has to show good
leadership qualities. The chief does not tell the people what to do, but tries to persuade them to do
what he is thinking. The chief s job was to keep peace in the group, be generous, be able to persuade
his/her people. During the summer the band s, different groups in the tribe, would gather together and
the most influential band chief would be deemed as head of the entire tribe (Ojbiwa). The government

The Sino Philippine South China Sea Conflict
Introduction In addressing a long time conflict, the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague ruled
on 29 October 2015 that it will be holding hearings over a South China Sea territorial dispute filed by
the Philippines against the People s Republic of China. The South China Sea has been a region of
large dispute over both unresolved island and maritime claims by the People s Republic of China,
Republic of China (Taiwan), Brunei, Malaysia, Vietnam, and the Philippines (Buszynski and Sazlan,
2007). The most recent issues at hand is the PRC s construction efforts in the highly contentious
Spratly Islands, or Nansha (南沙群岛) over the past year along with the Philippines case filed with the
Permanent Court of Arbitration. In this paper, I will be discussing the historical context and situation,
examining the academic and legal responses to the issue, and analyzing the conflict within the
international law framework. Because this is a relatively recent development with little to no legal
scholarship surrounding the event, my analysis will be limited to news articles and journal articles
regarding previous Sino Philippine maritime conflict.

The bargaining power of suppliers is likely to be high when: suppliers are concentrated and well

Milk Sparknotes
Milk The movie Milk takes place in 1970 s in San Francisco, in the United States of America. The
main character is Harvey Milk, stared by Sean Penn, who is a gay activist. He moved from New York
City to San Francisco in 1972, where he stayed there till his assassination in 1978. Upon moving to
San Francisco, Harvey opened a camera shop, which later became a popular place for gay community
in San Francisco. While in charge of the shop he organizes gays purchasing powers to gain political
alliances, their first test was Coors Beer boycotting, due to the fact that the leaders of the union did not
meet the union demands. Harvey and his organization convinced the gay community to drop Coors
Beer from #1 in sales in San Francisco, in which they succeeded. Tension had started between the gay
community and the police; the police would go on random raids on gay bars with their badges covered
and beat them. Once the harassed guys are on the streets the police would arrest them for blocking
traffic . So gay people started wearing and having whistles handy so when they hear the whistle they
would come running to help whoever is in trouble. Harvey claims that if the gay community had a
representative in the government like the black community did, that the harm will stop and they would
live peacefully. He first ran for city supervisor in 1975 but he lost, he kept running for other major
offices till he won City Supervisor in 1978. Harvey was assassinated1978, few months after winning

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Venture Capital Funds
VCs Who they are, who they fund in India.
Venture capital, as we use the term, refers to one type of private equity investing. Private equity
investments are investments by institutions or wealthy individuals in both publicly quoted and

portfolio companies than regular, passive retail investors. The main types of financing included in
private equity investing are venture capital and management and leveraged buyouts.

One study found shiftworkers had twice as high a rate of ulcers as day workers did. Others have linked
shiftwork with problems like heartburn, loss of appetite, diarrhea and constipation (Aanonsen 57).
Few shiftworkers escape their years on rotation without experiencing at least one of those symptoms.
It is because that they are not eating at traditional meal times, and eat junk food or other snacks that
are quick and convenient (Aanonsen 58). Caffeine, the shiftworker s constant companion, and
changing meal times from one day to the next may affect gastric secretions, aggravating digestive
problems. Sleep disorders, caused by the disruption of circadian rhythm, are a common long term
health effect experienced by shiftworkers. Fatigue can also make a person more vulnerable to illness,
poor job performance and sagging motivation (Tasto 26). Because of difficulties getting to sleep or
staying awake, shiftworkers may be more likely to suffer from substance abuse. Some may use
alcohol or sleeping pills as a tool to help them relax and get to sleep at the end of the shift. Others may
find themselves using tobacco or drugs to keep themselves awake and functioning through the day. All
these substances can be addictive, and can lead to other health problems such as heart attack, diabetes

In years prior, steers were sought to have long legs and lean bodies. Yet over time, judges now look
for shorter legs with filled out bodies. The preferences of these judges impact my business as a steer
marketer in a serious way. To deal with these changes in perspective, I will have to breed and shape
my livestock into the criteria that the judges are looking for. I will strive to do this or else people will
not buy my livestock, because they will not succeed in the show ring. Changing the appearance of my
steers when the judges preferences change, will help me stay in business, and helps me to continue to
make profit on my market animals. Steers that develop mean qualities have the ability to disable my
whole production of show steers if the problem is not stopped. Mean steers can give my business a
bad name, which will cost me customers. They also have the ability to hurt someone. In order to limit

Analysis Of Gilman s A Mountain Path As Road
Charlotte Perkins Gilman was an American writer of diminutive stories, poems, and nonfiction. She
was a utopian feminist as well as a socialist who served as a paradigm for future generations of
feminists. An Obstacle is one of the optimum workings of her during her life span. In her poem,
Gilman explained women s struggle to accomplish egalitarianism with men in a very vivid illustration.
Gilman referred a mountain path as road which a woman has to surpass in array to reach equality, as it
takes additional endeavor to climb a mountain then walking on a plane path. It signifies that the mode
to reach the destination of impartiality is certainly not a piece of cake for women especially in this
form of civilization where women are considered inferior to men. When we (Women) are burdened
with many things to do, important business of my own, and other people s too signifies the quantity of
effort they are exerting in their day to day life. Women saunter through the hard way, bringing with
her many things, not only for herself but for others also. Her expedition was going well but not for
long. A Prejudice thwarts her endeavor. Prejudice here refers to patriarchal society (both men and
women) who believe that women are the subsequent sex. Second verse strengthens the first, that
Gilman s attempt to attain equality was not a simple thing to do with her limit time and vigor.
Prejudice made her struggle harder coz it hindered her journey. In Third and fourth stanza

Case Study Of Sacco
1.1.1 Growth of SACCOs
Over the past four decades, Sacco s have been especially vibrant in rural areas since the banks left a
gap when they withdraw from service provision to the poor or middle class people of the rural. In
1975, rural Sacco s membership was 500,000 and this has grown to 1.2 million in 2005. In this period,
Sacco s were primary closed cooperatives dealing only with active members of specific organizations
with a common bond. Larger Saccos have opened up to non member clients by stablishing FOSA
while others still continue to offer limited services to members only. This offers a broader range of
financial services to both members and non members. Larger Sacco s in terms of capital base began
offering FOSA s in their head during the economic liberation period of 1990 s when commercial
banks withdrew their services from less viable areas. Hence the FOSA s attract former bank customers

Cooperatives planning include preparation of annual budgets, which are approved during the annual
general meeting by members. After budget preparation, different cost centres are allocated funds by
members present. The management usually over looks such plans with little or no consequences.
Cooperative societies enhance its growth through well trained management who understand their role
effectively. The management of societies is determined by the democratic nature of governance in
cooperative societies and the members elect the management committee for a specific term. The
problem comes up when the people elected are not good managers and end up running down the
societies or mismanages the Sacco funds (Mudibo 2009). He continues to say that; majority of the

Dodger Fever Research Paper
Dodger fever is high pitch in Hollywood. With the World Series in the final stretch and winning Game
7 is the only way to get the trophy, the world is watching Los Angeles. Most fans might be looking at
the field during the plays, but even the fair weather fans are wanting a glimpse of the stands. Dodger
fever has Hollywood wrapped up in blue too. Famous people are getting excited at the prospects of the
Dodger finally winning the biggest reward in the MLB.
Dodger fever slowly grows
The interest in the Dodgers has always been part of Los Angeles culture and Hollywood for that
matter. There are serious Dodger fans in this city. You will see the series fans support just as strong in
the middle of the World Series as you might in January. Then there are the rest of us. Yep, those
people who don t have tickets but scrambled to get a pair when it was announced the team was in the

There will be a sea of blue in the crowd and even more famous people than you can count on your
hands and toes. Any good public relations person who has famous clients has secured tickets for an
easy camera spotting that offers more publicity than a spot on a late night talk show. Millions of
people (and yes I do mean millions) will be watching tonight as both teams have everything to lose if
they don t play their best.
The biggest winner of this year s baseball season might be Houston and Los Angeles. Pulling the
series out to seven games has really impacted the economy of both towns. Plus the excitement of the
competition has people humming as many are in a good mood. The games have brought people closer
together and created a bond in communities where life seems to be less than predictable. Who knew
Dodger fever could be a good thing to be infected with? Now we only need to see who wins this crazy

Single Mom The Odyssey
Is raising a child alone mean there won t be someone that they ll love more? In Happy Father s Day,
Mom an article written by Abigail Foerstner. Single mothers have always gotten stuck in a situation
especially with boys. The boys grow up and want to do sports, whereas the mother has no experience
at all with sports. Just like how in The Odyssey by Homer, Queen Penelope had a son she had to raise
alone for 18 years while Odysseus was off at war. Raising a kid as both a mother and father figure has
it hard on the single mothers trying to get their kids to have a normal life.
Maybe having a single mom is better than having a mom and dad. Some would say that is not correct,

Dads have these powers too, not just moms some would say. most mothers find gaps only they can
close. (Foerstner 18). Single mothers have everything on them, finding ways to paying the bills, to
being able to spend time with their kids. Every single day is a struggle for them because they re all so
tired of everything in the world but still continue to push through their day for the little people who
count on her the most. Queen Penelope was stuck in a situation where the suitors were trying to court
her every single day for 20 years straight. But she managed to get through all of this because she had
hope in Telemachus to find his dad, her husband. And although Telemachus never saw his dad ever, he
still did this search for him because he wanted his mom to happy. Single mothers get recognition of
being a why not single dads. Your self worth is so low that you don t know how you re going to help
your kids, (Foerstner 9). Dads don t get recognition like moms do, because dads didn t birth the baby,
he left the mom alone to raise the kid that they made together. Maybe if women in society were as
equal to men then, yeah maybe someone will give recognition to single fathers for Mother s day.
Single moms get insecure, they don t know how they got into this mess, Queen Penelope didn t know
she would get left alone with a child for 20 years. Nobody could predict the future, it will always
change. No matter what

By the age of 10, I was fluent in three different languages. Every time I attended Schools in

very rigorous environment, and a difficult attitude towards learning, at least that was my opinion. I
had to write two essays on Kazakh and Russian, reside a one page poem by Alexander Pushkin, and

I faced an oblivion. I wrote Russian words with English letters or English words with Kazakh letters.

and strong vowels, and complex sentence structure. Even though I was made fun of, I would

La Belle Dam Sans Merci Essay
The poem La Belle Dame Sans Merci by John Keats is a ballad that expresses all of Keats
philosophies of happiness and the ideal world while, at the same time, being an enchanting love story
on a simpler level. The poem contains his pleasure thermometer which leads to Keats idea of
happiness. The poem also contains Keats vision of an ideal world where nothing ends or dies.
The poem begins with a narrator questioning a Knight at arms. The Knight is seen wandering around
lifelessly and listlessly. Not only is he lifeless, but, around him, the whole forest is dying as well. The
sedge has withered from the Lake/ And no birds sing! (Keats, p506 lines 3 4) The Knight is feverish, a

Keats wrote in a letter to George Keats that he was delighted with Canto V in which Dante meets
Paulo and Francesca. Keats tells George that he had a delightful dream that he was in Hell with those
guilty of carnal sins. He is whirling around with all the sinners, as is the punishment in that area of
Hell, with his lips pressed against those of a beautiful woman. He wrote that he was pressed against
her it seem d for an age. (Kauvar122) Soon after this letter he wrote On a Dream and La Belle Dame
Sans Merci. The inspiration for both poems, according to Kauvar, had a lot to do with Canto V.
It is interesting that an experience that, in Dante, was supposed to be torture and was intended as a
punishment for sinners is a delightful experience to Keats. The punishment is torture because is goes
on forever. Paulo and Francesca are forever joined and endlessly whorled about; they have tired of
each other, as they would have soon after their affair if they hadn t died. By being forced to commit
the same act over and over again they no longer enjoy it, they abhor it. To Keats, however, being
forced to constantly relive the intense experience of love forever and ever is a joy. This is what Keats
ideal world is.
Keats pleasure thermometer is easily revealed through an analysis of the Knight s narrative. In the first
three stanzas of his narrative, the Knight

The Birth of Muhammad and Islam
The Islamic religion is not only a religion, but a complex lifestyle full of dynamic truth which has a
past that spans over fourteen centuries. It s history encompasses the ancient spirits of people from
North Africa as far as Malaysia. Islam is also one of the youngest major religions as the Qur an came
down to Muhammad six centuries after Jesus, so that a large portion of the developed world which it
soon overran had been evangelized for centuries (Burrell 1). Although Islam was budding, it has
grown into one of the world s largest religions having a following of over one billion. Islam is known
to be the fastest growing faith worldwide, and in recent years has made striking advances in North
America (3). The rapid expansion of the community of Believers after Muhammad s death has its
roots in the events of the last years of his life ( Donner 92). Islam can be abridged into three
timeframes that are as follows; The Time of Ingratitude, Muhammad s life and story, and the
organizations and laws that were created after the demise of the prophet.
The holiest declaration or Shahada in Islam is There is no god but Allah and Muhammad is his
messenger (Fieser 373). Islam found its origins in Arabia and it takes after every one of the standards
given by God which were translated through Muhammad. Muslims on the other hand, are the
individuals who hone this religion as

The Cultural Elements Of Kaffir Boy By Mark Mathabane
The Cultural Elements of Kaffir Boy Kaffir Boy by Mark Mathabane is an incredibly complex novel
detailing the author s childhood and coming of age in a South Africa gripped by apartheid. It also
describes his steadfast pursuit of tennis as a means of escaping the aforementioned system that
legalized and even encouraged racism. Though the autobiography captures copious personal struggles
and internal conflicts, the elements of the text that truly stand out are the cultural ones these being the
elements of society, religion, and politics. The most prevalent of these cultural elements, and the first
one introduced to the reader, is the social element. On the very first page of chapter one, Mathabane
states that, The white man of South Africa certainly does not know me. He certainly does not know
the conditions under which I was born and had to live for eighteen years. So my story is intended to
show him with words a world he would otherwise not see because of a sign and a conscience racked
with guilt and to make him feel what I felt when he contemptuously called me a Kaffir boy.
(Mathabane 3). Issues of race and racism are the more frequently described types of social element in
Kaffir Boy , however, the power struggle between Mathabane s mother and father is also discussed.
When Mathabane s father is arrested or away for a long period of time, his mother seizes control of
the household. She brings in the food and the money. Upon the return of his father, she is

Generalized Anxiety Disorder (Gad) Is Characterised By
Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) is characterised by exaggerated and excessive anxiety and
worry concerning everyday life events (Roemer, Orsillo, Barlow, 2002, as cited in Treanor, Erisman,
Salter Pedneault, Roemer, Orsillo, 2010). This can include; work, family, money and many other
factors. Approximately 2% of the population is affected by GAD (Stapinski, Abbott, Rapee, 2010, as
cited in Burton, Westen Kowalski, 2015). GAD majorly affects the way people think, which can also
result in physical symptoms. Patients can exhibit a broad range of symptoms, including; insomnia,
fatigue, headaches, nausea, sweating, irritability and so on (Sansgiry Sail, 2006). There are many
different methods employed for the treatment of GAD. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For some patients suffering from GAD, results can be seen even before 12 weeks. Treatment methods
characteristically include reading about the problem and keeping records amid appointments, in
addition to completing assignments in the home (Mitte, 2005). Mitte (2005) relied on many aspects to
determine the effectiveness of CBT over Pharmacotherapy, gathering 65 control studies. The
durability of the outcomes was a key fact that the research relied on to make a conclusion concerning
the effectiveness of CBT. Mitte (2005) suggested that the outcomes of using CBT were long lasting,
compared to the use of medication. However, in a study conducted by Rynn, Russell, Erickson, Detke,
Ball, Dinkel, Rickels, Raskin (2006) found that Pharmacotherapy was, in fact, an effective method of
treatment for GAD patients. Patients who received the drug treatment over the placebo reported a
dramatic reduction GAD symptom severity and maintenance (Rynn et al., 2006). Unlike ACT which
takes close to three months (Avdagic, Morrissey Boschen, 2014) and ERT around five months
(Mennin, Fresco, Ritter Heimberg 2015), CBT results can be visible between 12 16 weeks. However,
this could be a disadvantage, due to the short time which patients are exposed to treatment and the
chance of symptoms reoccurring. Although evidence exists of success using CBT for emotional
disorders like GAD, (Mitte, 2005), Mennin (2014) noted a sizeable subgroup of patients failing to

The Importance Of The Iphone Dispute
I am here to discuss a recent issue that you might know. The San Bernardino shooting and iphone
dispute. On December 2nd of 2015, a terrorist group attacked the inland regional center in San
Bernardino California, killing 14 and injuring 22. An iphone was left behind by one of the terrorists,
which the FBI found and asked Apple to find the iphone s encryption code and unlock it. I think that
this is unconstitutional and that privacy should be protected at all costs.
The FBI recently unlocked a second iphone that belonged to a drug dealer in New York. Now, the FBI
is requesting to break into hundreds of more iphones. The FBI is now realizing that they can break
into any iphone they want, which is worrying the people who own apple products such as myself. This

that are ready to be stolen. You would be surprised what hackers can do. There have been a lot of
different hacks that have revealed a lot of people s privacy such as the bart attack, the project
chanology attack, donald trump s website hack, the federal attack hack, the cybergate hack, the dark

Necropsy Studies
Use of necropsy examination as a diagnostic aid to detect bTB Gross PM examination at slaughter
houses as well as cattle with suspected clinical manifestations of bTB and died can be used for
diagnosis. At necropsy, a tentative diagnosis of bTB can be made by the detection of macroscopic
lesions typical of bTB (Ameni et al., 2008).The sensitivity of gross PM examination is affected by the
anatomical sites examined and the method practiced (Ameni et al., 2008). Careful examination of LNs
(mandibular, medial retropharyngeal, cranial and caudal mediastinal, left and right bronchial, hepatic
and mesenteric LNs) and the lungs can result in 95 % of cattle with macroscopic lesions being
identified (Ameni et al., 2008). Further, histo pathological examination of the lesions may increase the
confidence of the diagnosis. The most commonly observed microscopic lesions are characterized by a

How To Disney World Essay
Disney World is truly one of the most magical places on earth. Disney has thoroughly thought through
every step of a guests experience and has perfected how to create a memorable experience for every
guest. My wife and I had the chance to visit Disney World last year and we had an absolutely fantastic
experience. A large part of that experience was staying at Disney s Riverside Resort, a moderate priced
resort themed like a classic southern plantation. Given our great experience, here is my review of
Disney s Riverside Resort as I will list 3 things I loved about the resort and one drawback. First, I
loved the theme. The attention to detail while creating a southern atmosphere truly is spectacular. With

Thirdly, we loved the fact that you could get on a boat and go to Downtown Disney. After a week of
riding buses all around Disney, to be honest it can get a little old. And so it was really great to be able
to jump on a boat right at our resort and get down to Downtown Disney to go to dinner or shopping
without having to get on another bus. Plus, it is an absolutely pleasant ride of about 20 minutes to get
there and one that I would definitely recommend taking if staying at this resort. The only downside to
this resort is that it is not terribly centrally located. It is located near the Magic Kingdom, but if you
want to go to any of the other parks, especially the Animal Kingdom, it does take a considerable
amount of time to get there on the Disney bus transportation system. After looking at a map, it does
seem that other moderately priced resorts such as the Coronado Springs and Caribbean Beach resorts
were more centrally located to all of the parks. But if you are going during the off season like we did,
you will have little problem seeing everything you want to see as long as you stay long enough.
Overall, we loved our stay at Disney s Riverside Resort and would recommend it to any other Disney

How Native Americans Handle Symptoms of Illness
Everyone gets sick and throughout generations they find ways to handle the symptoms. The ways that
people define and decide to treat their illnesses depend on their culture. The Native Americans have
developed their own ways to handle their illnesses. Their techniques should be incorporated more into
modern medicine; this would improve the way modern medicine is practiced. The Native American s
believe that they are spiritually and physically connected to nature (Schwing, 2008). This is the way
that Lori was raised on the reservation. She had attended ceremonies with her father as she was
growing up (Alvord, 2000). Everyone should try to understand the Native American view, and try to
adopt at least part of it. Weather someone wants to look at it from a spiritual way or a biological way
the earth is interconnected with the people and the animals living on it. We are seeing more species of
animals and plants being extinct, and it seems that most people do not care or just done realize that
this is happening. Not only are we losing out on specific species themselves but also by how it will
disrupt the balance of nature. Native Americans believe that people can get ill from an imbalanced life
or diseases (Schwing, 2008). Lori had seen this many times with her patients in the hospital. When the
people in the operating room were not balance with themselves and each other Lori noticed that the
patients had rougher recoveries. Once she started to notice this she

Drugs And Drug Addictions
Thousands of families across the United States deal with a child or family member struggling with
drug addiction; Toledo, Ohio is one of the top cities facing a heroin epidemic. Many people try to
avoid the fact that this epidemic is hitting Toledo as hard as it is. Unfortunately, avoiding this situation
will only allow it to grow and more people will suffer from addiction because they feel there is no way
out. Craig Thomas from WTOL 11 reported that the drug is so powerful that people will do anything
to get money to get drugs. Police say heroin is causing crime that hits innocent victims. The route
from Detroit, Michigan to Toledo, Ohio is famously called Heroin Highway because of how many
drugs are being transported using that route. If no changes are made in the city, more drug dealers will
gain seniority throughout the city and more lives will be taken. The only solutions to help this problem
are to hire more law enforcement, give the drug dealers a longer sentence when arrested for the act of
dispersing a lethal drug and the best solution would be to open more detox/ treatment centers for the
addicts who are ready to receive help. One solution to fend off the heroin epidemic is to hire more law
enforcement. By hiring more police officers it would put more men and women on the streets
observing more suspicious locations or common drug areas in Toledo. Which would then help arrest
more drug dealers in the area. By taking more dealers off the streets, it makes it

Separating By John Updike And Alice Walker
Separating and Everyday Use are two short stories published by renowned American authors in the
mid 1970s. Although these works relate to two completely opposite topics of controversy in American
history, John Updike and Alice Walker both developed storylines that provide readers with a keener
sense of cultural understanding and include deep moral themes concerning the magnitude of heritage
and family in one s life. Updike s Separating is a story about a couple s struggle to inform their
children of their decision to separate for the summer. Upon their oldest daughter s return from
England, the two arranged a homecoming meal; here, Richard and Joan would have the opportunity to
discuss the situation with all four children so that they might grieve together as a family. In the
presence of three of his children, Richard begins to cry; moved by curiosity, they unearth his secret.
Although the girls seem unaffected, the youngest son frantically and drunkenly erupts; his father then
removes him from the room and shares with him a deep, rewarding conversation about his troubles.
Later that night, the eldest son also returns. Dreadfully, Richard retrieves him and apprises him of the
situation; shocked, the son flees to his bedroom. The parents enter the room and console their
saddened son; when Richard is asked to explain the reasoning behind the separation, he realizes he

Christopher Columbus was the one of the most influential explorers in the Age of Exploration. He was the first European to explore the Americas. Columbus set off on his journey south from Palos Spain with 3 ships. He believed that he would reach the edge of Japan in 10 days if he sailed west to uncharted territory. Instead of being on the water for 10 days, he was on the water for about 30 days and he found the americas. He landed in the bahamas and then claimed it for Spain. Christopher Columbus should be viewed as a villain in history because he killed millions of the native Americans with disease and overworking them. He captured thousands of natives and made them into slaves. He also set in motion the Africans being put in the slavery. Even though he discovered the Americas he murdered many lives. • 5. The Fight Over Stalingrad During World War II As much as it is glamorized on television and video games, people have forgotten the realities of war. For in war, soldiers and civilians alike have suffered severely, and combat has put everyone who is involved to a true test of character. An example of the tests of war is found by looking at Germany s failed attack on the Russian city of Stalingrad during World War II. In the fight over Stalingrad, there are examples that demonstrate the struggles that both Russian and German soldiers faced. The Russians, for example, had to fortify themselves first in the buildings of Stalingrad then in the rubble of these same buildings as they watched their city crumble. However, the Russian s determination and reinforcements changed the tide of the battle, and the German forces ultimately found themselves surrounded by the Russians without necessary war supplies The Russian s determination to hold Stalingrad is probably best seen in this entry in the war diary of the Russian 62nd Army on October 14, 1942, 1220: radio message from unit of 416th Regiment from hexagonal block of flats: Surrounded; have water and cartridges; will die rather than surrender (qtd. in The Long Agony, 883). This determination is only further presented by this statement made by the commander of the 62nd Army, Buildings split up enemy formations like breakwaters, forcing them to follow the line of the streets. That is why we clung to the most solid ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The forefathers planned an organization by means of which each individual branch would observe the other two branches to verify that they are acting in accordance with the fundamental laws and are not trying to overrule the other branches and become an empire by themselves. The first branch is the Judicial Branch also known as the court system. The Judicial branch is in place to supply the people with true merits and qualities of laws. There are a number of powers that the judicial branch is liable for such as trying and convicting offenders of the law which includes associates of parliament. Another part of the judicial organization is to understand bylaws and how they relate to the latest state of affairs while also determining the validity to the Constitution. With the previous statement in mind, the judicial branch can also upend a ruling or law if it is found to be in disagreement of the U.S. Constitution. The interaction among the three branches of government in America comes down to checks and balances. Each branch has specific powers, duties, or roles outlined in the Constitution. A quick breakdown would look like this: LEGISLATIVE Make Laws EXECUTIVE Enforce or execute laws, JUDICIAL Interpret laws. Of course, each branch does more than this regarding various domestic or foreign issues from taxes and the money supply to military preparation and leadership. The ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 13. Native American Beliefs The Native American tribe known as Blackfoot, is not really talked about. It was never really a big tribe that made a large name for itself. The Blackfoot Indians have the same government as most tribes, and it has an interesting social organization. The Blackfoots also have some special customs and traditions, along with their art and literature. The Native American government can be a little complicated, but once it s explained it becomes clearer. The Native American government is a monarchy, though it was not always that way. Before the Europeans invaded, they had their own form of government. When the Europeans invaded they decided that each Native American tribe needed a chief to rule and look over the people. The United States rejected having a monarchy for its government, but thought that it would be acceptable to the Native Americans (Ojbiwa). The Blackfoot had an economy based on buffalo hunting, therefore their government was one based around buffalo hunting and movements. The title of chief, usually men, is not hereditary, the chief has to show good leadership qualities. The chief does not tell the people what to do, but tries to persuade them to do what he is thinking. The chief s job was to keep peace in the group, be generous, be able to persuade his/her people. During the summer the band s, different groups in the tribe, would gather together and the most influential band chief would be deemed as head of the entire tribe (Ojbiwa). The government ties ... Generalized Anxiety Disorder (Gad) Is Characterised By Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) is characterised by exaggerated and excessive anxiety and worry concerning everyday life events (Roemer, Orsillo, Barlow, 2002, as cited in Treanor, Erisman, Salter Pedneault, Roemer, Orsillo, 2010). This can include; work, family, money and many other factors. Approximately 2% of the population is affected by GAD (Stapinski, Abbott, Rapee, 2010, as cited in Burton, Westen Kowalski, 2015). GAD majorly affects the way people think, which can also result in physical symptoms. Patients can exhibit a broad range of symptoms, including; insomnia, fatigue, headaches, nausea, sweating, irritability and so on (Sansgiry Sail, 2006). There are many different methods employed for the treatment of GAD. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For some patients suffering from GAD, results can be seen even before 12 weeks. Treatment methods characteristically include reading about the problem and keeping records amid appointments, in addition to completing assignments in the home (Mitte, 2005). Mitte (2005) relied on many aspects to determine the effectiveness of CBT over Pharmacotherapy, gathering 65 control studies. The durability of the outcomes was a key fact that the research relied on to make a conclusion concerning the effectiveness of CBT. Mitte (2005) suggested that the outcomes of using CBT were long lasting, compared to the use of medication. However, in a study conducted by Rynn, Russell, Erickson, Detke, Ball, Dinkel, Rickels, Raskin (2006) found that Pharmacotherapy was, in fact, an effective method of treatment for GAD patients. Patients who received the drug treatment over the placebo reported a dramatic reduction GAD symptom severity and maintenance (Rynn et al., 2006). Unlike ACT which takes close to three months (Avdagic, Morrissey Boschen, 2014) and ERT around five months (Mennin, Fresco, Ritter Heimberg 2015), CBT results can be visible between 12 16 weeks. However, this could be a disadvantage, due to the short time which patients are exposed to treatment and the chance of symptoms reoccurring. Although evidence exists of success using CBT for emotional disorders like GAD, (Mitte, 2005), Mennin (2014) noted a sizeable subgroup of patients failing to show ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 32. The Importance Of The Iphone Dispute I am here to discuss a recent issue that you might know. The San Bernardino shooting and iphone dispute. On December 2nd of 2015, a terrorist group attacked the inland regional center in San Bernardino California, killing 14 and injuring 22. An iphone was left behind by one of the terrorists, which the FBI found and asked Apple to find the iphone s encryption code and unlock it. I think that this is unconstitutional and that privacy should be protected at all costs. The FBI recently unlocked a second iphone that belonged to a drug dealer in New York. Now, the FBI is requesting to break into hundreds of more iphones. The FBI is now realizing that they can break into any iphone they want, which is worrying the people who own apple products such as myself. This image pretty much represents this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... First the FBI wants to search one phone and seize it s private information, then they realize that they can get a bunch of information by seizing a lot of other people s privacy, and they keep requesting to search new phones, which now it has become a big issue with the hackers and the encryption codes that are ready to be stolen. You would be surprised what hackers can do. There have been a lot of different hacks that have revealed a lot of people s privacy such as the bart attack, the project chanology attack, donald trump s website hack, the federal attack hack, the cybergate hack, the dark discovery hack, and many more. If hackers can hack things like these, it won t be too hard for them to steal encryption codes and IP addresses. The FBI should be more aware of the risk that they are taking in unlocking all these new phones, and they should know that iphone privacy is not completely protected. But, it should be right? This is outrageous. Do you want your privacy to be protected? As you know it is not right now, and it will gradually get worse if the FBI continues with their ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 33. Necropsy Studies Use of necropsy examination as a diagnostic aid to detect bTB Gross PM examination at slaughter houses as well as cattle with suspected clinical manifestations of bTB and died can be used for diagnosis. At necropsy, a tentative diagnosis of bTB can be made by the detection of macroscopic lesions typical of bTB (Ameni et al., 2008).The sensitivity of gross PM examination is affected by the anatomical sites examined and the method practiced (Ameni et al., 2008). Careful examination of LNs (mandibular, medial retropharyngeal, cranial and caudal mediastinal, left and right bronchial, hepatic and mesenteric LNs) and the lungs can result in 95 % of cattle with macroscopic lesions being identified (Ameni et al., 2008). Further, histo pathological examination of the lesions may increase the confidence of the diagnosis. The most commonly observed microscopic lesions are characterized by a central necrosis with mineralization surrounded by granulomatous inflammatory response (Ameni et al., 2007). 3.1.2 Bacteriological culture ... • 34. How To Disney World Essay Disney World is truly one of the most magical places on earth. Disney has thoroughly thought through every step of a guests experience and has perfected how to create a memorable experience for every guest. My wife and I had the chance to visit Disney World last year and we had an absolutely fantastic experience. A large part of that experience was staying at Disney s Riverside Resort, a moderate priced resort themed like a classic southern plantation. Given our great experience, here is my review of Disney s Riverside Resort as I will list 3 things I loved about the resort and one drawback. First, I loved the theme. The attention to detail while creating a southern atmosphere truly is spectacular. With the large white columned buildings and the river ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Thirdly, we loved the fact that you could get on a boat and go to Downtown Disney. After a week of riding buses all around Disney, to be honest it can get a little old. And so it was really great to be able to jump on a boat right at our resort and get down to Downtown Disney to go to dinner or shopping without having to get on another bus. Plus, it is an absolutely pleasant ride of about 20 minutes to get there and one that I would definitely recommend taking if staying at this resort. The only downside to this resort is that it is not terribly centrally located. It is located near the Magic Kingdom, but if you want to go to any of the other parks, especially the Animal Kingdom, it does take a considerable amount of time to get there on the Disney bus transportation system. After looking at a map, it does seem that other moderately priced resorts such as the Coronado Springs and Caribbean Beach resorts were more centrally located to all of the parks. But if you are going during the off season like we did, you will have little problem seeing everything you want to see as long as you stay long enough. Overall, we loved our stay at Disney s Riverside Resort and would recommend it to any other Disney World ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 35. How Native Americans Handle Symptoms of Illness Everyone gets sick and throughout generations they find ways to handle the symptoms. The ways that people define and decide to treat their illnesses depend on their culture. The Native Americans have developed their own ways to handle their illnesses. Their techniques should be incorporated more into modern medicine; this would improve the way modern medicine is practiced. The Native American s believe that they are spiritually and physically connected to nature (Schwing, 2008). This is the way that Lori was raised on the reservation. She had attended ceremonies with her father as she was growing up (Alvord, 2000). Everyone should try to understand the Native American view, and try to adopt at least part of it. Weather someone wants to look at it from a spiritual way or a biological way the earth is interconnected with the people and the animals living on it. We are seeing more species of animals and plants being extinct, and it seems that most people do not care or just done realize that this is happening. Not only are we losing out on specific species themselves but also by how it will disrupt the balance of nature. Native Americans believe that people can get ill from an imbalanced life or diseases (Schwing, 2008). Lori had seen this many times with her patients in the hospital. When the people in the operating room were not balance with themselves and each other Lori noticed that the patients had rougher recoveries. Once she started to notice this she ... • 36. Drugs And Drug Addictions Thousands of families across the United States deal with a child or family member struggling with drug addiction; Toledo, Ohio is one of the top cities facing a heroin epidemic. Many people try to avoid the fact that this epidemic is hitting Toledo as hard as it is. Unfortunately, avoiding this situation will only allow it to grow and more people will suffer from addiction because they feel there is no way out. Craig Thomas from WTOL 11 reported that the drug is so powerful that people will do anything to get money to get drugs. Police say heroin is causing crime that hits innocent victims. The route from Detroit, Michigan to Toledo, Ohio is famously called Heroin Highway because of how many drugs are being transported using that route. If no changes are made in the city, more drug dealers will gain seniority throughout the city and more lives will be taken. The only solutions to help this problem are to hire more law enforcement, give the drug dealers a longer sentence when arrested for the act of dispersing a lethal drug and the best solution would be to open more detox/ treatment centers for the addicts who are ready to receive help. One solution to fend off the heroin epidemic is to hire more law enforcement. By hiring more police officers it would put more men and women on the streets observing more suspicious locations or common drug areas in Toledo. Which would then help arrest more drug dealers in the area. By taking more dealers off the streets, it makes it ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Although the girls seem unaffected, the youngest son frantically and drunkenly erupts; his father then removes him from the room and shares with him a deep, rewarding conversation about his troubles. Later that night, the eldest son also returns. Dreadfully, Richard retrieves him and apprises him of the situation; shocked, the son flees to his bedroom. The parents enter the room and console their saddened son; when Richard is asked to explain the reasoning behind the separation, he realizes he had forgotten.
