participants involved in a land leveling practice. A seed and fertilizer company supplies seeds and

Conclusion
As an employee of the NRCS, I see the benefits of the program first hand. I work with the program
and its participants on a daily basis. I hear the positive feedback from the participants. In my year of
work experience I have had the opportunity to work with these participants from beginning to end.
The comparison of a pre EQIPed operation to a post EQIPed operation is tremendous. I personally

For this portion of my summer assignment, I read Between the Lines by Jodi Picoult and Samantha
VanLeer. I have selected twelve important and meaningful passages from the novel as well as a Quote
of the Book . Between the Lines is about a girl, Delilah, and a book character, Oliver, that despite the
limits of the story, connect and can even speak to one another. Oliver had never felt as if he d
belonged in his book and dreaded living the same plot over and over every single time someone
opened his book. So, he asked Delilah to help him get to her world and leave the book. After many
failed attempts, Delilah, with the help of a boy named Edgar, is able to get Oliver out of the book, but
only because Edgar willingly switches places with Oliver. Finally, the passages I have selected are
ones that are important, if not necessary to the book, and it was difficult to only select thirteen total.
My first selected passage is from pages nineteen and twenty. I did not write the lines I speak; they
were given to me long before I remember. I mouth the words, but the actual sound is in the Reader s
mind, not coming from my throat. Similarly, all the moves that we make as if we re performing a play
somehow unravel across someone else s imagination. It is as if the action and sound on our tiny,

Abstract
14 sophomores and 22 seniors participated in this study. The goal of this study was to examine
whether sophomore and senior level university students differ in their beliefs about construction and
modification of knowledge. Students rated their responses to an Epistemological Beliefs (EB)
questionnaire on a 5 point Likert scale. This survey measured students beliefs about constructing and
modification of knowledge between sophomores and seniors. Results indicated that sophomores have
a more sophisticated epistemological view than seniors. Time spent in school may not be the only
factor determining students level of EB sophistication.

semester, once at the end of the semester, and again at the end of the semester. Before the last survey
was administered, the percipients were required to read an article about epistemology. Once all the
participants read the article they were then given the survey. However, since this was a comparative
study, only one of these tests was actually used, the final test. The independent variable is the students,

until I read the title of the article, Are Too Many People Going to College? , by Charles Murray.
College is where most people strive to be. It s a place to learn and evolve into a human being who will

why but it also caught my attention. Murray provides us with reasons, examples, and statistics on why
he believes people should or should not go to college. In his article Murray talks about the

low vision. According to the textbook, the statutory definition of blindness is based on visual acuity

There are many instructional strategies that are effective in teaching students who are blind or that
have low vision. One example of an instructional strategy would be seating the student in the front of
the classroom so that they can hear the teacher s instructions clearly (Allan). A student that is blind is

contemporary problems of the existing models and also discusses future scope. It also presents various
evaluation techniques to contrast outputs obtained through different neural style transfer methods. A

I have always enjoyed music with strong, meaningful lyrics so this option was the obvious choice for
my final. I find myself constantly listening to music and have listened to Hotel California by The
Eagles more times than I can count, making it another obvious choice for me. Although, when reading
through the lyrics the first time, I realized that I had never understood the song meaning and the theme
it is intended to portray. It was interesting to read through it with my own, as opposed to hearing the
tone it receives when listening to the song. Not having the music helped me understand the meaning
of the lines better, letting the words sink in instead of them being sung quickly and then gone.
Hotel California takes on a relatively free form when analyzed as poetry. It contains a mostly
consistent rhyme pattern throughout using an A,A,B,B,C,C series, as many songs do. However, the
meter of the song is less structured and has more variance throughout the stanzas. Each can carry
different numbers of syllables than the one before, depending on the part of the song. This is where the
work loses its formality and is taken as free verse. When reading through, the lyrics carry even more
similar traits than those we look for when analyzing modern poetry including, general theme and
figurative language.
The theme of the song is rather interesting and I have heard many different theories about the meaning
