The Holy Bible, By William Miller
Many people often ask themselves: Who am I. why do people exist. They wonder is there someone or
something that created everything. Throughout history, cultures and countries have developed their
beliefs on what religion and God is to them. Churches today still share similar traditions and beliefs as
ancient churches, but yet there are so many sects of religion and followings. When you think
Christianity you may miss count all the diverse teachings. With all these different teachings, they all
teach from The Holy Bible, but the scripture is translated in my different perspectives. Even though
churches all read from the same book, The Holy Bible , it all comes down to how each church
translates the word. Seventh Day Adventist is a type of Protestant Christian denomination
distinguished by its observance of the seventh day of the week in Christian and Jewish calendars,
which is Saturday. William Miller, S. S. Snow, Joseph Bates, James White, and Mrs. Ellen G. White
founded Seventh Day Adventists. Ellen White has several books over the Seventh Day Adventist and
her writings are still held in power by the Church. One of her writings, 28 Fundamental Beliefs,
provides the church with guidance. Some of the 28 fundamental beliefs include: belief in Trinity,
belief in Life and death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, belief in Unity in the body of Christ, belief in
Baptism in full water submersion, belief in Experience of salvation, belief in the Lord s supper, belief

Mr. George Hearing
I attended a hearing on your behalf in the above matter before Judge Burke in Hudson, New York, on
05/17/2017. The claimant was present and represented by attorney Ed DeLauter. Your insured, Robert
George, was present to give testimony.
As you know, this is a controverted claim which we are defending on the grounds the claimant is not
an employee but rather an independent contractor. At the last hearing we took the testimony of the
claimant. The claimant does not speak English and required a Spanish interpreter. The testimony was
quite lengthy and we used up the entire time allowance. The Judge terminated the testimony before we
were able to completed the claimant s testimony or the testimony of Mr. George. The minutes of that

I had spoken to Mr. George on at least three (3) occasions to review the facts and circumstances of this
case and to prepare him for his testimony. I spoke to him for at least an hour the day before this
hearing, reviewing the outstanding issues and answering questions that he had regarding the case.
At this hearing I had Mr. George testify he operates Robert George Design Group, LTD. That he
knows the claimant and has known him since around 2007. He describes his work as doing
landscaping, outdoor masonry and patio work. He testified he has a subcontractor relationship with the
claimant. He said the claimant s expertise were in such things as roofing, sheet rocking, painting and
equipment maintenance.
Mr. George testified the claimant would work for him a daily rate.
Mr. George first met the claimant in 2007 when the claimant was doing some work for him at his
house. The claimant asked if he could do work for him and Mr. George told the claimant he would
need to have insurance and a tax ID#. The claimant obtained a tax ID# and Mr. George helped him
obtain a policy of liability insurance. A certification of insurance has previously been

The Charter School Lottery Winners And Lottery Losers
Abstract The reading will focus on the overall educational program success of 36 charter middle
schools across 15 states. There will be at least three international standards incorporated with the
reading to shed light on the effectiveness and non effectiveness of the charters school education
programs. The charter school lottery winners and lottery losers will be statically measured. The
standards that will be focused on are International Standard Organization (ISO) 9001:2008, Six
Sigma, and LEAN (LEAN Enterprise Institute). The reading will compare the purpose, values,
application, relative functionality, and implication of each Total Quality Management (TQM) model.
Keywords: programs, six, sigma, lean, model, charter, schools, standards
Total Quality Management According to Total Quality Management (TQM) (2013, pg 1), Total quality
management (TQM) can help a school monitor and evaluate its effectiveness. There are various TQM
models, but they all have a common focus on customer satisfaction and continuous service
improvement toward excellence. For schools, the customer is the student. When a Total Quality
Management (TQM) is implemented in an institution it can set it apart from the other institutions. It
formulates task teams to manage the institution compared to having a chain of command. An effective
Total Quality Management (TQM) institution Mission Statement is the foundation of the education
process. This encourages the staff

The Legacy Of Abraham Cahan
Jews have been lashed out on, time and time again throughout history, but one man who saw this
hatred for Jews first hand and tried turning the tables, was a man by the name of Abraham Cahan. He
is known as being the first prominent writer to emerge from the biggest wave of Jewish immigration
from Russia, but he was much more than just a writer. He was an editor and critic of several New York
newspapers, a sociologists reformer, and a teacher of English to many Jewish immigrants following in
his footsteps. Cahan valued his Jewish religion, but not only that, he valued language and in particular
English and Yiddish which he wrote in. He believed in telling the story of immigration through fiction
which he did in his literature, by taking ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is just one battle in a continuous war against maintaining his religion, but he had a changing
world around him tearing him apart from it. In this constant war, he ends up having to flee Europe in
particular Russia, because he gets tangled in a mess involving an assassination attempt of the Czar.
This journey leads him to America, where he is first greeted by the Statue of Liberty at Ellis Island.
When Cahan came to America many things changed for him, he was forced to leave behind his old life
and try his hardest to assimilate himself into American culture. He left behind many aspects of his
culture, but was still able to continue on with many of them. One piece of his life that was hardest to
maintain was his language. Although he held onto Yiddish, Russian, and Hebrew, he immediately had
to learn English which soon became a large part of his career and what made him so astounding.
America is said to be the home of the free, and this is what so many immigrants desired when coming
to America, and Cahan was no exception. He was a tremendous aid to those immigrants by devoting
the first years of his life in America to teaching English. While doing this, he also lectured and wrote
articles on Jewish life in the city for countless New York magazines. Within these articles he answers
many questions on tough arguments, mostly circled around religion. An example of one

Examples Of Isolation In A Rose For Emily
In William Faulkner s short story, A Rose for Emily, Emily Grierson, a prominent member of her
small town, dies alone in her home. Upon her death, curious townsfolk entered her home trying to
learn her secrets. It was thought she was crazy. Emily Grierson was not crazy; she was isolated by her
father, which led to her odd social tendencies and unique interactions with others.
A Rose for Emily is a short story based in a small town. The narrator focuses a lot on Emily Grierson
after her death, which contributed to the odd circumstances of her life. The narrator said multiple
times they believed she wasn t crazy. However, their actions proved to show the opposite.
Emily s father played a role in her isolation. Her town believed she was crazy because of the way she
and her father carried themselves, the fact she had never married, and the way she dealt with grief.
Throughout her life, her father turned away countless numbers of suitors, even well into her 30s,

According to Lixia Ge s article Social Isolation, Loneliness and Their Relationships with Depressive
Symptoms: A Population Based Study states, Social Isolation and loneliness have been individually
identified to be associated with depressive symptoms (Ge 2). Some of the symptoms were being
single, living alone, having a weak or small social network and infrequency of social interactions
(Ge2). Emily Grierson had 75% of the symptoms. She was at a very high risk for depression with the
death of her father as well as not having a support system of friends to communicate with. The town
thought she was odd, but she was suffering from depression. She was alone, she was humiliated by the
town, she had to hide away because she was not able to cope. In Tim O Brien s article he states, After
her death, Emily is reunited with the other members of her southern class ... , which means in death,

Victims Of Physical Abuse
The physical abuse can be inflicted with any type of object, from hands or feet to a random object
lying around. The damage can be as small as a scratch or bruise to internal organ damage or even
death. In addition to being struck, being forcefully held down or choked are also common forms of
physical abuse. Whether the abuse in large or small, the damage and pain are real. The marks left
behind can be visible, but in many cases the invisible scars are worse as it becomes emotional and
mental.
When a person has been the victim of physical abuse, they will go to extreme lengths to hide the signs
from those around them. They may wear clothes that hide the marks, or use excessive amounts of
makeup to hide the black eyes. Another way of hiding

Narration, Metaphors, Images and Symbols in One Flew Over the Cuckoo s Nest
In 1962, when One Flew Over the Cuckoo s Nest (the Nest), was published, America was at the start
of decade that would be characterized by turmoil. Involvement in Vietnam was increasing, civil rights
marches were taking place in the south and a new era of sexual promiscuity and drug use was about to
come into full swing. Young Americans formed a subgroup in American society that historians termed
the counterculture . The Nest is a product of time when it was written. It is anti authoritarian and tells
the tale of a man s rebelling against the establishment. Kesey used metaphor to make a social
commentary on the America of the sixties. In this paper I will ... Show more content on

It is with this paranoid rambling that the reader meets Bromden. As the first chapter progresses we
witness more instances of his troubled mind and his way of describing people as part machine, part
human. Nurse Ratched is the called the Big Nurse, by Bromden. His description of her is an example
of his ability to link people with machines. She slides through the door with a gust of cold...(the) tip of
each finger the same color as her lips. Funny orange. Like the tip of a soldering iron. Color so hot or
so cold if she touches you with it you can t tell which. (Pg. 4 Kesey). She has the ability, in Bromden s
mind, to increase her size. She, blows up bigger and bigger, big as a tractor, so big you can smell the
machinery inside the way you smell a motor pulling too big a load. (Pg 5 Kesey). These descriptions
of humans who are made part machine, part human allow the reader to get a clearer understanding of
Bromden s illness. This, I believe, is a positive aspect of the novel, however there would seem to be,
at least one, negative aspect to Kesey s choice of narrators.
This choice of narrators for Kesey, in my opinion, may be considered troublesome. He seems to ask
the reader to trust the voice of a madman. This seems to do anything but create a narrator who is
trustworthy. Upon rereading the Nest, I found myself doubting the narrator because he seems to be
inconsistent. In the first section of the

If Memantine Interferes With Alpha Tocopherol
Although this study was well done, it leaves some unanswered questions. The biggest question is if
memantine interferes with alpha tocopherol. While this study discovered that there is a connection
between the two, it did not uncover what that connection was. More research should be conducted to
determine the relationship between alpha tocopherol and memantine. Next, the vitamin E was taken
orally via a liquid filled capsule. According to a study by Dr. Dan Engle published in 2009,
compressed pill form of vitamins can have a poor absorption rate. The average person may not be
aware of this research, and the study could have explained why this type of tablet was chosen. With
that being said, a study could be conducted comparing the different between soft gel tablets and oil to
determine which form of vitamin E would give the highest absorption rate. Additionally, ninety seven
percent of the participants were male, which means that only three percent of the participants were
female. Because the focus was a male population, the question of whether vitamin E would affect
females the same way is not supported. Although males and females are similar, they are also very
different, and with that being said, a study that focuses on one sex cannot say that it is true for both
sexes without scientific evidence. Lastly, because the Department of Veterans Affairs Cooperative
Studies organized the study, all the participants were veterans. These veterans could have been

The Common Reasons Of Lao Illness Essay
The primary belief system across Laos is that all individuals and objects have various souls. This
animism, along with the idea of reincarnation and ancestral worship, has a direct link to their
healthcare. Among the Lao populous spirituality is exceptionally connected to their views of illnesses.
Either the sins of one have angered their ancestors, or one has lost a soul because of their misdeeds or
actions. With a combination of natural and super natural causes, a Hmong individual believes illness
can befall them. A list of common reasons of Lao illness is as follows: accidents, infectious disease,
curses, spells, and any taboo violation. The Hmong believe so strongly that illness is caused by some
supernatural cause, they may request a multitude of health services when visiting the US. Generally,
modern healthcare practitioners have a tendency to be scarce in Laos. The rural populations traditional
healing is relied on by shamans, herbalists, magic healers, and other s not trained as well in western
medicine. Hmong individuals will request a practitioner specifically to treat an ailment to which they
are assigned. For example, someone who diagnoses physical illnesses may be a herbalist. The
herbalist will then dispense herbal medications for treatments. A second example would be contacting
a shaman for family a member with spiritual afflictions. The attention of Laotian families is focused
on identifying an illnesses origin before they seek out the appropriate healing

Matsuo Basho Essay
I decided to choose Matsuo Basho and Kobayashi poetry for the early modern age period. I chose
Masoka Shiki poetry for the modern age period. The early modern age poems I chose were heavily
based on nature and human interaction with the use of some nature. The modern age poems I chose
both by Shiki there was a shift from the early modern age because of the different influences and of
course time period. However, all of the poems I still could connect to whether it was about nature, real
life human interaction, and experiences.
Basho and Issa poetry is a part of the early modern age period. At this time Japan was going through a
period of isolation and was living in feudalistic system. Basho was able to exemplary given the
cultural influences during this period because he expressed everyday life. He was able to express
everyday life in a tone that could be reciprocated. The dominant themes ... Show more content on

However, both Issa and Basho seem to create works based on their observations where you notice the
imagery. Issa says, Snow starts melting , the reader can visualize the snow. During Issa s journey he
notices that as the snow melts the village is crowded with children which gives me the impression of
his recognition of the behavior of human and in the poem I chose, the children.
Masaoka Shiki s dominant theme was expressing modern life and its complexities. The time period of
social development and western culture where he wrote on reform. Shiki says, I keep on working, and
keep on working but life still continues to have its struggles though working his supposed to aid a
better life. This represents the complexities during this time period.
Though there is a difference in time periods, the themes intertwine in some way; though the influences
of the poets work may differ. As I read all of the poems I chose, I still feel some kind of relationship
because the themes in both the early modern age and the modern age are

Global C Suite Programme On Corporate Executives Essay
INTRODUCTION
A recent study conducted by IBM under its Global C suite programme on corporate executives
revealed that a comparatively low percentage of New Zealand business hold that they understand their
customers (IBM Global Business Services, 2014). According to the study, only sixteen percent of top
corporate executives (CEOs, CFOs, COOs and other C level executives) in New Zealand believe that
they understand their clients or consumers. The figure is relatively low if compared to the global total
of thirty five percent considering the advance economy of the country. The article also pointed out that
significant efforts will be made to improve New Zealand s overall percentage performance to around
82% in the next 3to 5 years.
The study also introduced a new business model in the social media digital age being the everyone to
everyone or e2e economy. What makes it different from the two major types of e business (Xu
Quaddus, 2010) being business to business (B2B) and business to consumer (B2C) that we have come
to know of is the creation of business ecosystems that focuses on the individual customer, the level of
customer experience and engagement, freedom of movement, highly interactive, transparent and
promote synergetic existence among industry players. The growth of online transactions as well as
influence of social media on customer buying decisions are expected to grow exponentially over the
coming years. In order to stay relevant in this fast

Power Of Music In The 1960s
Music not only functions as a mean of recreation and pleasure. In fact, music has the capacity to unite
people and make change happen. All throughout history, music s compelling rhythms and melodies
accompanied with meaningful lyrics have been the backbone of many social movements. The power
of music has been long recognized, Plato in his Republic described it as Any musical innovation is full
of danger to the whole state, and ought to be prohibited. When modes of music change, the
fundamental laws of the state always change with them . Plato understood the potential danger of a

how can society sometimes set African Americans up for failure. With lyrics like they don t like to see

All of the other passengers are sober, and will go to their proper seats unless it is already occupied; In
that case, they will randomly choose a free seat. You re person number 100. What is the probability
that you end up in your seat (i.e., seat #100)?. Solution: Let s consider seats #1 and #100. There are
two possible outcomes: E1: Seat #1 is taken before #100; E2: Seat #100 is taken before #1. If any
passenger takes seat #100 before #1 is taken, surely you will not end up in you own seat. But if any
passenger takes #1 before #100 is taken, you will definitely end up in you own seat. By symmetry,
either outcome has a probability of 0.5. So the probability that you end up in your seat is 50%.
Explanation: If the drunk passenger takes #1 by chance, then it s clear all the rest of the passengers
will have the correct seats. If he takes #100, then you will not get your seat. The probabilities that he
takes #1 or #100 are equal. Otherwise assume that he takes the n th seat, where n is a number between
2 and 99. Everyone between 2 and (n 1) will get his own seat. That means the n th passenger
essentially becomes the new drunk guy with designated seat #1. If he chooses #1, all the rest of the
passengers will have the correct seats. If he takes #100, then you will not get your seat. (The
probabilities that he takes #1 or #100 are again

A Rhetorical Analysis Of The King Of Pop
The music comes on, the camera focuses on The King of Pop as he places the iconic tilted fedora on
the crown of his head, followed by constant hip thrusts to the beat of the Billie Jean. Michael begins
ramping up the crowd with his amazing actions, including a couple of flared high kicks and some even
more emphasized hip movements. Zoomed in and centered now, Michael flings off his hat as though it
is restricting him. Slicking back his hair, allowing a few curls to remain upfront on display, Michael
slyly pulls the microphone from his back pocket and begins to sing. He pulls up his pant leg to allow
for freer movement and does a quick leg flip. As the camera follows, his palm opens to the audience to

Visions Of Nature Reflection Report
Visions of Nature Reflection
Visions of Nature Reflection When the Visions of Nature project was first explained in the beginning
of the course I was immediately worried about how I would be able to create something that
represented the natural world in an artistic way. Personally, I am not the most skilled in the world of
art through visual and esthetically pleasing mediums. My artistic peak was reached in kindergarten
when I made an impressive elephant with finger paint before the school s annual trip to the National
Zoo. At first I struggled with deciding what type of project to pursue. I wanted to do something
meaningful and original, but the best I could think of was either to make a video or maybe a collage. It
wasn t until I was walking back to my dorm room late one night when it presented itself, literally. It
was a pretty peaceful evening when I was passing the Dominion residence building. I did not see or
hear anyone or anything around me. It was completely silent when out of nowhere a shopping cart
came rolling off the top set of stairs and crashed onto the grass in front of me. After the cart had
ceased to move it was completely silent again. That is when I decided that I would make a shopping
cart garden. It would be an interesting piece that would capture people s attention and would not
require me to torture my fellow classmates with my sub par finger painting. The garden would give a
tangible source for observers that would create a larger impact than

Aquifer In Texas
An aquifer is a permeable rock underground that bears water, this water can be collected through wells
for people to use and drink. Within Texas there are 23 different aquifers, but for Central Texas we tend
to favor Edwards Aquifer and due to this many problems have arisen for the aquifer and its
inhabitants. We will first discuss the history of Edwards Aquifer, the reasons behind the current issue
concerning the aquifer including what species are endangered and why, and lastly what solutions are
being set forth.
As early as the 18th century and possibly even before then, Edwards Aquifer was used as a place
marker and for domestic human use. Native American tribes including Comanche, Apache, and
Tonkawa had been living beside the spring fed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
By plans of their cities, I mean where they might expand next or if they want to increase the pumping
of water in the area from Edwards Aquifer. What many people do not know is that the species in
Edwards Aquifer are beneficial to them from their roles in the environment. Each animal has a role
that when put together will all the other roles in the ecosystem, it creates equilibrium and gives the
aquifer the potential to survive. With these species gradually coming closer to extinction, an
imbalance is created in the ecosystem that allows for the possibility of other species to thrive that
might harm the aquifer. If the situation were to continue as it has been, then we will lose the beneficial
animals, the aquifer, and would have to deal with the problem of the new species and of finding a new
water source. In the end, no one would win, everyone would be a lost and then pressure would
possibly be put on another aquifer and then the same problem could

Unique Jargon Of Our Chosen Profession. What Was To Follow
unique jargon of our chosen profession. What was to follow was an application of that which we had
just survived.
The fourth quarter at Keystone was devoted to a number of separate pursuits. The first order of
business was the final course of the year, an eclectic undertaking known as Clinical Medicine. The
second item on the agenda was preparation for Part I of the National Boards.
Clinical Medicine was an overture of what was to follow for the next two years. It was an introduction
to the various clinical clerkships, as well as the one and only course in medical school that concerned
itself with such skills as taking a medical history, examining a patient, and applying the knowledge

Interestingly, Keystone was one of the medical colleges that minimized the value of the National
Boards. In fact, professors in virtually every course mentioned there would be certain material on the
boards they didn t feel was important enough to present in their lectures. In spite of the institution s
obvious disregard for the National Boards, passing Parts I and II of the exam was still considered a
prerequisite for graduation from Keystone.
To the trained observer, there are certain signs on a medical school campus that can be used to tell the
time of year. For example, the appearance of frantic students who smell like cadavers indicates the
season is fall. A truly astute observer can even tell if it is early, mid, or late fall by how frantic the
student seems and how powerfully the essence of cadaver fills the air.
In the same manner, the trained observer knows it is spring by the sudden blossoming of a new class
of second year medical students, who bedecked in the short white coats that are the trademark of the
upper year medical student, can be seen trying to figure out how to open their new black medical bags.
In a sense, wearing our new white coats for the first time, even if it was only to make sure Seymour
and Ira got the sizes right, was more awkward than any of our previous experiences in medical school.
So too was filling up our black bags with the new medical

The liver is involved in many functions of the body which are important for survival. It is the main
filtering organ of the body and is involved in processes such a synthesis of plasma proteins, storage of
glycogen for energy use as well as excretion, secretion and detoxification of products such as
bilirubin, alcohol, cholesterol and drugs. Since the liver is the only organ to rid hemoglobin from the
body, one of the most important functions it carries out is bilirubin metabolism. The heme component
of hemoglobin is first converted to bilirubin by set of enzymes. It is then bound to albumin and
transported to the liver hepatocytes where the enzyme uridyl diphosphate glucoronyl transferase
converts bilirubin into water soluble conjugated form so it can be excreted into the intestines. If the
hepatocytes within the liver are damage due to invasion of HCV, bilirubin will not be able to be
excreted thus resulting in the buildup of bile. When bile builds up, the skin turn to a yellowish color
called jaundice. This usually happens during the later stages of hepatitis (Sunheimer Graves, 2011).
There are two phases of hepatitis C; acute and chronic. After exposure of HCV, 85 90% of both types
of hepatitis are usually asymptomatic but symptoms can occur during the acute phase following a 2 12
week incubation period. In cases of acute hepatitis, symptoms consist of fatigue,

Frankenstein As The Master In Mary Shelley s Frankenstein
In Mary Shelly`s book, Frankenstein, Frankenstein tells Walton this story to attempt to free him from
being a slave to his desire to be something greater than he was destined to be. Frankenstein tells of
how he turned from his human nature and created another human being, thus giving way to how the
story moved on. However there were many repeated themes such as those of heaven and hell, God and
Adam, as well as the ideal of a master and a slave. This, the master and slave, comparison is brought
up a few times within the book between the monster and Frankenstein. Through the text, it would be
implied that even though the Monster or Frankenstein could be viewed as the masters , neither of them
are truly free, but rather slaves to their own emotions. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They could also be led to this conclusion because of Frankenstein is able to create the monster a
companion, as the monsters asks him too. The monster directly asks Frankenstein to do this in the
book, You must create a Female for me with whom I can live in the interchange of those sympathies
necessary for my being. (Shelley 140). From that we can see how the monster feels that he needs a
companion, and demands that Frankenstein makes him one, and even demands it, directly stating that,
...I demand it of you as a right that you cannot refuse to concede. (140). From this, the idea could be
pulled that the monster is not the master, demanding his slave to do as he wishes, but instead a slave
begging for his master to give him what is rightfully his. Frankenstein would even have been able to
hunt down the monster, and kill it before it caused any trouble, however he was unwilling to because it
would harm his reputation and possibly kill him. The reader would also be able to pull out of the text
that the monster may be the Master, seeing as how it (the monster) causes Frankenstein pain by killing
his friends, family and even having a direct effect on Frankenstein `s emotions, but that leads my

what and how a bioterrorism attack can happen in New York City in her book, Code Orange. A
Student at St. Raphael s private school, Mitty Blake is falling behind in his schoolwork, so he has to

CDC and maybe a terrorist organization. Susan B. Cooney touches on three main points of terrorism,
the fear of terrorism after 9/11, the FBI s ability to track individuals and bioterrorism. After September

This ailment plays a crucial role affecting the seven dimensions of wellness. Emotional health is a new
form of health that our society has recently discovered. This form of health can be defined as the state
of emotional and psychological well being in which an individual is able to use his or her cognitive
and emotional capabilities, function in society, and meet the ordinary demands of everyday life .
Studies have proven that if an individual implements a healthy dietary, exercises regularly, and drink a
moderate use of alcohol, and does not use tobacco, it s clear the individual is less likely to be
depressed and suffer from poor health. When an individual is in a good emotional state they are able
to think and be aware of their feelings and behavior toward themselves and others. They are also able

Dr. Kaplan s Practice At Boone Hospital
I received an assignment to investigate a complaint on Dr. Michael Kaplan on 11/20/2014 regarding
some concerns raised about Dr. Kaplan s practice at Boone Hospital. These concerns triggered an
investigation by the medical executive committee (MEC). Dr. Kaplan elected to retire from the
hospital, resign his medical staff appointment and clinical privileges. This was reported to the Board
of Healing Arts and to the National Practitioner Databank.
After serving a subpoena for the investigation at Boone Hospital, I received approximately 108 pages
of documents from Nancy Tune, RN on 01/07/2015. In these documents I found that Dr. John J.
Seaberg, M.D. had observed on March 14, 2014 Chris Kaplan dissect the implant pocket for a breast
augmentation using the electro cautery and use a #10 scalpel blade to make the skin incision for an
abdominoplasty while Dr. Mike Kaplan was sitting beside the operating table with his hands folded on
the patient watching his wife operate.
Mrs. Kaplan is not a nurse or a doctor. Dr. Seaberg believes that this is a violation of 334.2(4)d and
334.040. He feels that she is not qualified by training, skill, competency, age, experience, or licensure
to perform such responsibilities.
There is a copy of a letter from Dr. Seaberg to Mark Cohen, M.D. Chief of Staff of Boone hospital
stating the above.
This matter was referred to the Medical Executive Committee (MEC) to investigate this incident and
Dr. Mike Kaplan s fitness to perform surgery.

Dartmouth College Vs. Woodward
Dartmouth College v. Woodward (1819) Living in the 1800 s was not an easy task. This was the time
of child labor and little to no education for kids. The time of having to walk 2 3 miles anywhere and
making sure the crops were well enough to sell in the markets. The time of Westward Expansion and

Indian Samson Occom. The name of the school was to be Moor s Indian Charity School and was
officially established in 1755. It was somewhat successful, but they still needed more funding in order
to maintain the schools operations. Wheelock and Occom decided to go to England in 1766 to raise
money for the school. Once they raised enough, they made a trust to help the school. The Charity
School finally had enough financial support to keep going. But Wheelock had trouble recruiting
Native Americans to attend the institution due to the location being far away from the tribal territories.
He decided to relocate the school to Hanover, in the Province of New Hampshire. Following the
relocation, it was difficult to find resources and secure a charter. Luckily, the Royal Governor of New

of image guided surgery. Our patient had been diagnosed with brain cancer, and the tumor was
scheduled for resection. Rather than make an incision and expose the operative area as I d seen many
times in general surgery, the neurosurgeon was able to utilize an instrument that transmitted its
position and trajectory to a computer and projected this information onto pre operative MRI. In this
way, the surgeon was able to follow in real time the precise location of his surgical instruments for a
minimally invasive tumor resection. This was my first real ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

How Global Economic Environment Is Affecting International...
How Global Economic Environment is affecting International Marketers? By Md. Jafar Sadique,
MBA, Southeast University Bangladesh
1. Introduction:
International business is taking different shades and is unavoidable today. This dynamic world is
rapidly changing to the extent that is has been reduced to a Global village .
The truth is, we are going through the most severe global financial crisis since the days of Great
Depression. Originated in USA, economic recession is affecting all the major players of world
economy. Governments and major policy makers of world economy have taken notice of the urgency
of the situation and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Over the years, many banks in the US started the practice of offering home loans to high risk
individuals, i.e., individuals who had a high probability of defaulting on their loans. The banks
justified this move by saying that even if these individuals defaulted on their loans, the amount could
be recovered by selling off the property in question.
Over a period of time, many of these individuals defaulted on their payments, as was expected, and
the banks put the properties back on the market. However, when so many properties were put on sale
at the same time, the property prices, which were already over inflated to begin with, plummeted. The
unprecedented drop in property rates proved fatal for banks that had already invested most of their
money in these speculative deals, and they were forced to close down.
The collapse of these banks is just one of the indicative causes of the present recession. The roots of
this recession can be said to lie in over inflated property prices, oil prices, and commodity prices.
Artificially inflated prices are typical of a profitable market. When the market is doing well, the sellers
eventually become greedy and raise the prices. All is well, as long as the buyers continue to be able to
afford the inflated prices. However, the day the prices reach a level where the majority of the buyers
cannot afford them, a crash in the prices, and consequently a recession, is inevitable.

The year 2008

Caribbean Sea Lizards Research Paper
In the Caribbean Sea, there are more than 700 islands, all have different sizes but have a similar
environment, within these islands, and there are 150 species of lizards under the genus name of
Anolis. These lizards are widely spread out over the islands in the Caribbean, these Anolis have
similar habitat, niche, morphology, and behavior but they are not closely related, which this is defined
as the ectomorph. This means we can found several different species living in the same environment,
but they share different habitats, some of them live on the ground, on the grass and some live on
different part of the tree, which they are spread out in different niches and hunt their food there. In
addition, the scientist also found out even though,

Medieval Themes Reflected in Modern Literature and Movies...
The common themes often presented in tales of the Medieval times still make appearances in the films
and literature that are popular among our society today. The book The Kindness of Strangers, written
by Katrina Kittle, and the movie King Kong, directed by Peter Jackson, are two examples that portray
many known characteristics of the times of King Arthur, such as honor, chivalry, loyalty, and bravery.
The legend of King Arthur revolves around the Knights Code of Chivalry. Although there was not an
official Code of Chivalry, there were a multitude of well known ideals that all knights were to
represent. It was a system of morals that introduced certain qualities idealized outside of battle
qualities such as bravery, courtesy, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Sarah tries to remain loyal to Courtney because of the wonderful friend she has always been to her,
but the evidence is piled against her, so she is forced to accept the truth. Jordan has a stay in the
hospital before he is forced to start looking for a foster home. Sarah s son Nate feels that his family
could help Jordan and her other son, Danny, agrees, although he had a falling out with Jordan some
time before this. Jordan agrees and moves in with the Laden s, where his life will never be the same
again.
Danny and Jordan previously had a falling out, which you later find out is because Jordan was trying
to protect Danny from his parents. He claims that he did not want to help recruit children for his
parents and is mean to Danny to save him from suffering the same fate, which is very brave and
honorable of him. Sarah also shows her bravery for taking on such a huge responsibility by adopting
Jordan and fighting for his safety. The Laden s are faced with a lot of challenges because of this, but
they choose to stick with their decision and protect Jordan, which upholds one of the most important
ideals of the Knights Code of Chivalry.

Drug Arrests on College Campuses
Drug arrests on college campuses have become an escalating issue around the United States for
several years. Rehabs.com is said to be a website that aids people overcome their addictions. I will get
into more detail about this later in the paper. This same website conducted a study about colleges that
included the most on campus arrests, including those who occur in the residence halls. This was
known as the rehabs.com report. This report was led by the Drugs on Campus Head Jon Millward.
This report concludes that College at Oneonta in New York State tops the list in drug arrests on
college campuses around the nation. Other SUNY colleges are mentioned in this report as well. SUNY
schools include SUNY Fredonia, SUNY Oswego, SUNY Geneseo, SUNY Albany and a few others as
well. In this paper I will primarily discuss in depth three main issues associated with the report and
why these make the report very controversial. One point that I will be arguing in this paper will be that
the report lacks an author and a publisher. Validity is not present in a report where the author and the
publisher is missing. It makes us think that the information is unreliable, since it is unclear as to where
it came from. The second point that I will be addressing is that I will discuss the importance of social
media. The media has also many uses as well, such as to keep close contact with friends and to
distribute information online quickly. The rehabs.com report was widely covered by the media,

Analysis Of The Poem War Photographer By Carol Ann Duffy
Poetry is a way of confronting experiences and the issues it raises for the living. Death is rife during
global conflicts and some poets use their craft to show the pain and suffering aspects of death. War
Photographer by Carol Ann Duffy presents people s death through both literal and figurative lexis. It
uses the metaphorical lens of a camera to create an opinion about war and the role of media is
reporting it humanely. A Mother in a Refugee Camp by Chinua Achebe presents the suffering and
torment of death with strong sensory imagery to reflect the horrible and inevitable events levied on
innocent victims. Vultures , also by Chinua Achebe presents death by contrasting cruelty and love in
the Second World War and obliquely, the Nigerian civil war. Death also befalls every individual in an
inevitable manner and grief is just as intolerable when someone you love is taken from you.
Remember by Christina Rossetti is bittersweet; whilst embracing death, she rejects death as she is torn
between her lover remembering her, or forgetting her as remembering would be too painful for him.
Mid term break by Seamus Heaney is a first hand account of his painful early experience of his family
tragedy and Funeral blues by W.H Auden, consist of an unnamed speaker lamenting the death of
someone close to him. War Photographer by Carol Ann Duffy is a powerful and poignant poem that
dichotomizes two worlds. It addresses the hardships of war through the eyes of an individual and

Racism In Patricia Williams The Emperor s New Clothes
Race and the different racial characteristics have been the main topic of many debates all over the
United States and has been for a long time. The topic of race continues to stay relevant because of the
way race is regarded. In the expert from Patricia Williams The Emperor s New Clothes she establishes
multiple reasons on why and how racism is viewed in today s day and time.
Williams makes very strong points and claims within the excerpt however one her most recognizable
ones is on page 10 the first paragraph and last sentence Williams states The noisy, racial chasm still
yawn darkly beneath us all, but we few brave souls glide gingerly above, upon a skim of hope, our
bodies made light with denial, the black pond so dangerously and thinly iced with the conviction that
talking about it will only make things worse. Williams claim in this is clear: not talking about racism
will only continue to add to the fire which will only make the situation worse. Not talking about
racism is letting a pot stir and allowing racism to grow beneath our noses. When we don t speak on
racism it slows down the process of us advancing as a world. Many white people were taught that
talking about racism is racist so they tend to shy away conversations that evolve around race without
knowing they are involuntary apart of the problem by refusing to recognize the issue.
Williams starts off by using her son as an example on how race is disregarded. Williams talks about
how multiple white teachers

  • 3. The Holy Bible, By William Miller Many people often ask themselves: Who am I. why do people exist. They wonder is there someone or something that created everything. Throughout history, cultures and countries have developed their beliefs on what religion and God is to them. Churches today still share similar traditions and beliefs as ancient churches, but yet there are so many sects of religion and followings. When you think Christianity you may miss count all the diverse teachings. With all these different teachings, they all teach from The Holy Bible, but the scripture is translated in my different perspectives. Even though churches all read from the same book, The Holy Bible , it all comes down to how each church translates the word. Seventh Day Adventist is a type of Protestant Christian denomination distinguished by its observance of the seventh day of the week in Christian and Jewish calendars, which is Saturday. William Miller, S. S. Snow, Joseph Bates, James White, and Mrs. Ellen G. White founded Seventh Day Adventists. Ellen White has several books over the Seventh Day Adventist and her writings are still held in power by the Church. One of her writings, 28 Fundamental Beliefs, provides the church with guidance. Some of the 28 fundamental beliefs include: belief in Trinity, belief in Life and death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, belief in Unity in the body of Christ, belief in Baptism in full water submersion, belief in Experience of salvation, belief in the Lord s supper, belief in ... He left behind many aspects of his culture, but was still able to continue on with many of them. One piece of his life that was hardest to maintain was his language. Although he held onto Yiddish, Russian, and Hebrew, he immediately had to learn English which soon became a large part of his career and what made him so astounding. America is said to be the home of the free, and this is what so many immigrants desired when coming to America, and Cahan was no exception. He was a tremendous aid to those immigrants by devoting the first years of his life in America to teaching English. While doing this, he also lectured and wrote articles on Jewish life in the city for countless New York magazines. Within these articles he answers many questions on tough arguments, mostly circled around religion. An example of one ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. Examples Of Isolation In A Rose For Emily In William Faulkner s short story, A Rose for Emily, Emily Grierson, a prominent member of her small town, dies alone in her home. Upon her death, curious townsfolk entered her home trying to learn her secrets. It was thought she was crazy. Emily Grierson was not crazy; she was isolated by her father, which led to her odd social tendencies and unique interactions with others. A Rose for Emily is a short story based in a small town. The narrator focuses a lot on Emily Grierson after her death, which contributed to the odd circumstances of her life. The narrator said multiple times they believed she wasn t crazy. However, their actions proved to show the opposite. Emily s father played a role in her isolation. Her town believed she was crazy because of the way she and her father carried themselves, the fact she had never married, and the way she dealt with grief. Narration, Metaphors, Images and Symbols in One Flew Over the Cuckoo s Nest In 1962, when One Flew Over the Cuckoo s Nest (the Nest), was published, America was at the start of decade that would be characterized by turmoil. Involvement in Vietnam was increasing, civil rights marches were taking place in the south and a new era of sexual promiscuity and drug use was about to come into full swing. Young Americans formed a subgroup in American society that historians termed the counterculture . The Nest is a product of time when it was written. These descriptions of humans who are made part machine, part human allow the reader to get a clearer understanding of Bromden s illness. This, I believe, is a positive aspect of the novel, however there would seem to be, at least one, negative aspect to Kesey s choice of narrators. This choice of narrators for Kesey, in my opinion, may be considered troublesome. He seems to ask the reader to trust the voice of a madman. This seems to do anything but create a narrator who is trustworthy. Upon rereading the Nest, I found myself doubting the narrator because he seems to be inconsistent. In the first section of the ... While this study discovered that there is a connection between the two, it did not uncover what that connection was. More research should be conducted to determine the relationship between alpha tocopherol and memantine. Next, the vitamin E was taken orally via a liquid filled capsule. According to a study by Dr. Dan Engle published in 2009, compressed pill form of vitamins can have a poor absorption rate. The average person may not be aware of this research, and the study could have explained why this type of tablet was chosen. With that being said, a study could be conducted comparing the different between soft gel tablets and oil to determine which form of vitamin E would give the highest absorption rate. Additionally, ninety seven percent of the participants were male, which means that only three percent of the participants were female. Because the focus was a male population, the question of whether vitamin E would affect females the same way is not supported. Although males and females are similar, they are also very different, and with that being said, a study that focuses on one sex cannot say that it is true for both sexes without scientific evidence. What is the probability that you end up in your seat (i.e., seat #100)?. Solution: Let s consider seats #1 and #100. There are two possible outcomes: E1: Seat #1 is taken before #100; E2: Seat #100 is taken before #1. If any passenger takes seat #100 before #1 is taken, surely you will not end up in you own seat. But if any passenger takes #1 before #100 is taken, you will definitely end up in you own seat. By symmetry, either outcome has a probability of 0.5. So the probability that you end up in your seat is 50%. Explanation: If the drunk passenger takes #1 by chance, then it s clear all the rest of the passengers will have the correct seats. If he takes #100, then you will not get your seat. The probabilities that he takes #1 or #100 are equal. Otherwise assume that he takes the n th seat, where n is a number between 2 and 99. Everyone between 2 and (n 1) will get his own seat. That means the n th passenger essentially becomes the new drunk guy with designated seat #1. It is the main filtering organ of the body and is involved in processes such a synthesis of plasma proteins, storage of glycogen for energy use as well as excretion, secretion and detoxification of products such as bilirubin, alcohol, cholesterol and drugs. Since the liver is the only organ to rid hemoglobin from the body, one of the most important functions it carries out is bilirubin metabolism. The heme component of hemoglobin is first converted to bilirubin by set of enzymes. It is then bound to albumin and transported to the liver hepatocytes where the enzyme uridyl diphosphate glucoronyl transferase converts bilirubin into water soluble conjugated form so it can be excreted into the intestines. Frankenstein As The Master In Mary Shelley s Frankenstein In Mary Shelly`s book, Frankenstein, Frankenstein tells Walton this story to attempt to free him from being a slave to his desire to be something greater than he was destined to be. Frankenstein tells of how he turned from his human nature and created another human being, thus giving way to how the story moved on. However there were many repeated themes such as those of heaven and hell, God and Adam, as well as the ideal of a master and a slave. This, the master and slave, comparison is brought up a few times within the book between the monster and Frankenstein. Through the text, it would be implied that even though the Monster or Frankenstein could be viewed as the masters , neither of them are truly free, but rather slaves to their own emotions. ... The monster directly asks Frankenstein to do this in the book, You must create a Female for me with whom I can live in the interchange of those sympathies necessary for my being. (Shelley 140). From that we can see how the monster feels that he needs a companion, and demands that Frankenstein makes him one, and even demands it, directly stating that, ...I demand it of you as a right that you cannot refuse to concede. (140). From this, the idea could be pulled that the monster is not the master, demanding his slave to do as he wishes, but instead a slave begging for his master to give him what is rightfully his. Frankenstein would even have been able to hunt down the monster, and kill it before it caused any trouble, however he was unwilling to because it would harm his reputation and possibly kill him. Over the years, many banks in the US started the practice of offering home loans to high risk individuals, i.e., individuals who had a high probability of defaulting on their loans. The banks justified this move by saying that even if these individuals defaulted on their loans, the amount could be recovered by selling off the property in question. Over a period of time, many of these individuals defaulted on their payments, as was expected, and the banks put the properties back on the market. However, when so many properties were put on sale at the same time, the property prices, which were already over inflated to begin with, plummeted. The unprecedented drop in property rates proved fatal for banks that had already invested most of their money in these speculative deals, and they were forced to close down. The collapse of these banks is just one of the indicative causes of the present recession. The roots of this recession can be said to lie in over inflated property prices, oil prices, and commodity prices. Artificially inflated prices are typical of a profitable market. When the market is doing well, the sellers eventually become greedy and raise the prices. All is well, as long as the buyers continue to be able to afford the inflated prices. However, the day the prices reach a level where the majority of the buyers cannot afford them, a crash in the prices, and consequently a recession, is inevitable. 3. • 46. Analysis Of The Poem War Photographer By Carol Ann Duffy Poetry is a way of confronting experiences and the issues it raises for the living. Death is rife during global conflicts and some poets use their craft to show the pain and suffering aspects of death. War Photographer by Carol Ann Duffy presents people s death through both literal and figurative lexis. It uses the metaphorical lens of a camera to create an opinion about war and the role of media is reporting it humanely. A Mother in a Refugee Camp by Chinua Achebe presents the suffering and torment of death with strong sensory imagery to reflect the horrible and inevitable events levied on innocent victims. Vultures , also by Chinua Achebe presents death by contrasting cruelty and love in the Second World War and obliquely, the Nigerian civil war. Death also befalls every individual in an inevitable manner and grief is just as intolerable when someone you love is taken from you. Remember by Christina Rossetti is bittersweet; whilst embracing death, she rejects death as she is torn between her lover remembering her, or forgetting her as remembering would be too painful for him. Williams claim in this is clear: not talking about racism will only continue to add to the fire which will only make the situation worse. Not talking about racism is letting a pot stir and allowing racism to grow beneath our noses. When we don t speak on racism it slows down the process of us advancing as a world. Many white people were taught that talking about racism is racist so they tend to shy away conversations that evolve around race without knowing they are involuntary apart of the problem by refusing to recognize the issue.
