Analysis Of Shinnors Gravitation Towards Kit-Cats
I argue that Shinnors gravitation towards the Kit Cats was prompted by an aesthetic feeling (Huntley
1970, 17) grounded in his early historicality (Heidegger 1950, 47). Heidegger (1950, 29) felt that in
order to grasp the truth, we can return to something that is already manifest, in this case I would argue
that this was Donovan s work, specifically work like Balcony Series (with self portrait) . This truth
happening which Shinnors experienced was therefore an example of Crowther s (2009, 70) theory of
corporeal imagination , the idea that our sense of the present draws upon our actual learned responses
to events of the past. If we think of our corporeal imagination being composed of layers of memory
and experience, with some phenomena being

A Comparison of Schools in the U.S. and Japan Essay
A Comparison of Schools in the U.S. and Japan
In Japanese schools, from elementary schools to universities, teachers direct what students should do
or how they should be. Students follow the school rules and the directions of teachers. In American
schools, on the other hand, students have to be more independent than Japanese students in many
ways. Because of differences between Japanese and American schools, Japanese students who begin
to study in an American school are shocked, and they take a pretty long time to adjust themselves to
the way of American schools. Differences between schools in the two countries are seen in classrooms
and during classes: the style of lectures, the relationship between student and teachers, and the ...

We kept writing for one hour almost without asking any questions.
Although classes are quiet, it does not mean that all students are concentrating on the lectures.
Because classes are so quiet and boring, some students are doing or thinking of something else, or
taking a nap. When I was a high school student, I often fell asleep, especially on warm spring days.
The teacher s powerless lecture became my lullaby, and I fell asleep easily as if I had been hypnotized.
On the contrary, students in the U.S. have to listen to teachers very carefully because teachers tend to
ask questions during classes, and students must answer these questions. This way of teaching is quite
unfamiliar to Japanese students, and lots of them have trouble in the classroom. For example, for the
first few months I studied in an American school, I was tense because my teachers asked me questions
very often. I used to turn my eyes away from teachers eyes immediately after they asked something of
students. Furthermore, students have to take notes by themselves because teachers seldom write on the
blackboard. Japanese students in an American school learn that they have to study or read the
textbooks well to take notes and to answer questions given by teachers.
Second, Japanese students are shocked by the different relationship between teachers and students in
American schools. The relationship between teachers and students in the U.S. is

Summary Of The Indian Triumph Of Dionysus
The artwork I chose to write about is The Indian Triumph of Dionysus which I came across on my
visit to the Museum of Fine Arts. The artwork was commissioned by a wealthy Roman during the end
of the second century A.D. Although the Dionysus cult may hold many mysteries it is known that this
artwork originated in Rome. The individual who funded that creating of this sarcophagus desired to
commemorate his beliefs. Desiring for others to know what he associated himself as is what gave birth
to this masterpiece. Their were multiple different art works that caught my attention at the museum
although through the semester it was the Roman chapter that captivated my attention the most hence
forth I chose this artwork. Each piece of art present in the museum deserved their own
acknowledgment respectively from the gold and marble jewelry present to the large sculptures rich in
detail non stood out more to myself than The Indian Triumph of Dionysus.I found this piece of art to
be appealing because there are many different people and beings within this piece of work that are
well known in ancient Greek and Roman mythology. The entire piece is centered on Dionysus, yet
everyone plays an important role in the overall story of the piece. Also, I found it very interesting that
someone took a great interest in building a monumental sarcophagus for a man who was known for
introducing wine. As Dionysus and his followers journeyed to the East to introduce wine and culture
they were sometimes

Hockey Trips
When you think of hockey trips you you think of just the games. I have been on many trips for hockey
and they all have been different. The two trips i remember the most are the ones that i went to St.
Louis and Toronto,Canada. These trips contrast in so many ways you would think it couldn t possible
be the same game. These trips compared to each other are very each to overlay with some similarities
as well. When these trips happen they were similar in the year and during the time period. When I first
went to Toronto i was able to see and hear thing that i never would of imaged of seeing. The toronto

We played the St.Louis jr Blues. This team was a funnel organization for the NHL team St.Louis
Blues. A funnel organization is one that makes a ameture hockey team in their name and the best
players go their and play. So the Jr. Blues made sure they beat us. They had such a great forecheck that
they didn t need to have defensive zone scheme. They beat us 5 2. This game was played after our six
and a half hour drive from Michigan. We had learned something that night. The hockey out west is
still very good. Typically hockey is not the same competitively as it is in warmer climates like
Missouri.Hockey in Michigan is some of the best hockey you can get not only in the United States but
the world. Since we have longer winters and hockey rinks all over and a successful NHL team in the
state hockey was very prominent in Michigan.
The two tournaments very similar in ways of how many game we played in each tournaments. This
was your typical four game round robin tournament. The teams are different because their were two
other major tournaments happening at the same time of these two tournaments. Our team was picked

I Am A Muslim Parents Essay
I am Muslim. Muslim parents are authoritative. My parents have rules and pretty good reasoning
behind them. They are strictly against parties and anything that could cause trouble in my near future.
But I really wanted to experience a party. So, one day I decided to rebel and go to a friend s party one
night, without them knowing. The moment I stepped foot outside my house, was the moment I walked
into a huge, impacting mistake. You never really learn your lesson, once you actually experience the
lesson to be learned. On September 12, 2015, Becks was hosting a party for the first time. I was
invited to that party, as were many other people. I really wanted to go. I also knew that I wouldn t be
allowed to go so I thought to myself sneaking out one time won t hurt anyone. Oh, the irony. One of
my close friends, Seran, was warning me about what I was doing. She kept saying, You will get
caught, even if you say you won t Venus, you will . I kept countering her, Seran, I know what I m
doing . So she just went along with it. It s not that she didn t want me to go with her, it s that she didn t
want me to get in trouble. As for my other friend, Alyssa, she wanted me to be there in case anything
happened to her. So, it was getting to be 11:00 PM my parents were, thankfully, falling asleep. At
11:30 PM, I called an Uber to come pick me up and drive me to the party. I walked outside of my
house, in the dark, gloomy, creepy night, for the Uber to get to me. So, the Uber

Ampicillin On Bacteria With Plasmid
The Effect of Ampicillin on Bacteria Treated with Plasmid
Abstract
This laboratory explored the effects plasmid has on the growth of bacteria in the presence of an
antibiotic. Four plates were tested: Luria agar +amp plasmid, Luria agar +amp +plasmid, Luria agar
amp plasmid, and Luria agar amp +plasmid. Only two of the plates were treated with plasmid in order
to determine the effect it had on the growth of bacteria. The bacteria treated with plasmid was able to
grow in the presence of an antibiotic while the bacteria not treated with the plasmid died due to the
lack of resistance to the antibiotic.

For example, we may have insufficiently mixed the solutions of DNA after adding the plasmid to the
solution. If the plasmid was not mixed in fully, some bacteria may not have been exposed to it,
therefore dieting in the presence of ampicillin, which may have caused minor errors in our results.
Also, not returning the mixtures to ice quickly enough after doing the heat shock may have caused
some bacteria to not fully take in the plasmid. The heat shock is what allows for the bacteria to take in
the new piece of DNA because the cell membrane opens up allowing for the plasmid to enter. In order
to keep the new DNA inside the bacteria, it was crucial to quickly place the bacteria back on ice
following the heat shock because this allowed for the cell membrane to close back up and seal the
plasmid inside. In addition, while spreading the liquid on the Luria agar plate, I accidentally pushed
too hard and broke through the Luria agar. This caused us to get a new plate and redo the past steps for
that plate. Because of this, the timing wasn t kept constant for all of the bacteria, which could have
affected the end results since the bacteria absorbed the liquid for various amounts of time before
placing them in the

Reconstruction And The Rights Of Former Slaves. In The
Reconstruction and the Rights of Former Slaves In the 1860s the United States was a nation that had
been ripped apart by the Civil War and left in torn pieces. The war left many white southerners
stripped of their slaves, land, and in destroyed towns with little to eat. The only people worse off than
the white southerners at this point in history were the black southerners who had nothing to their
names but the freedom they had recently been granted which left them penniless and searching for a
place to go. In hopes of a resolution president Abraham Lincoln took charge in by announcing a
reconstruction plan in hopes of bringing the country back together. President Lincoln believed the

The act also gave the federal government the power to step in if any states attempted to intrude on the
African Americans rights. By the 1870s the Civil rights Act in full force and the African American had
gained the right to vote, right to get married, equal protection under the law, the right to own land and
a right to an education. The former slaves had come along way but things were not as great as they
may seem. In many ways, the former slaves were still controlled by the white southerners. Many of
the African Americans struggled to find work outside of working on plantations which left them with
little money and without money life was difficult. The white southerners could go around the laws
made by the Federal government and still for the most part control the African American southerners.
A quote from our book, We are sheep in the midst of wolves stood out to me as a very accurate
representation of what life would have been like for African Americans living in the South during this
time. Overall though the African Americans had come a long way from slaves who worked the fields
from dawn until dusk, but still needed to progress further. The Reconstruction and civil rights act
would have been more of a successful if it was not for the North becoming less involved. The north
became extremely involved with other factors and become less and less committed to the Civil Rights
Act. Without the federal government aiding and protecting the Former

This project will be over the National Organization for Women and the struggle for the Equal Rights
Amendment. This topic will be a great way to learn about the background of how women fought for
their rights, and how they gained them. This will be a great way to find out how the gender women
established their equal rights. Women s rights are really important in today s society, so this will be a
great way to learn a little more about how women came upon equal rights. Women s rights didn t just
appear one day, they had to fight for what they thought was right. The first step of it all was the 19th
amendment, this amendment allowed women to vote at the age of 18. After the 19th amendment

Then out of nowhere A highly organized, determined opposition that suggested that ratification of the
ERA would lead to the complete unraveling of traditional American society. The women that wanted
to stop the ERA was a career woman named Phyllis Schlafly. Her opening to her speaking
engagements began with quotes such as I d like to thank my husband for letting me be here tonight.
The Stop ERA started to tell people the things that would be taken away if the ERA was passed and
approved by the Congress. Now that the Stop ERA put things in other people s heads they started to
worry about more things. They were starting to be scared of losing the freedom that people already did
have. There were some things that might have been took away once women got the same freedom as
men. Things such as sexual assault and alimony would be swept away. Also they were scared that the
tendency for the mother to receive child custody in a divorce case would be eliminated. Another thing
people were scared of was the all male military draft would become immediately unconstitutional.
Women started to divided by other women. At this point there were more and more states that were
going against the amendment. The stop ERA got what they wanted because once they passed the ERA
the vote was three states off from being approved. Therefore this meant that it wouldn t be confirmed
right away like the people that supported the ERA wanted it to. The Equal Rights Amendment was

The Evolving Automobile
The day in which cars can drive themselves has arrived and Brett Berk believes Californians should
embrace it. More specifically, he believes autonomous cars are vital for the senior population. In his
editorial entitled Self driving cars could keep seniors in the driver s seat, Berk discusses the
advantages of this new and emerging technology. Autonomous cars have been introduced only within
the last decade but their development has continuously advanced. The most current models are near
perfection and will soon be on the roads. Berk is a strong supporter of the driver less car, claiming that
the new technology will greatly benefit older Americans. Through the use of several rhetorical devices
Berk is able to successfully persuade the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
His audience believes in independence and self reliance. He thus, suggests, that giving seniors the
opportunity to drive, even if incapacitated, would strengthen their pride and heighten their sense of
individualism. He describes a friend of his grandmother as having to give up her car and having to
move into an assisted living facility. This is meant to tug at the hearts of Californians. Not only does
such a place sound cold and heartless, it insinuates that residents cannot provide from themselves.
Having to depend on others is often seen as weak; Californians want to be self reliant they want to
strive and succeed on their own. Berk is hence able to instill both sorrow and fear into his readers. If
not sympathizing for the elderly who must now depend on others, the reader surely fears of being in
that same position in the future. Hence, he convinces the reader that the elderly need access to these
cars now, but also that the reader will need them in the future. Berk also uses a great amount of factual
evidence to persuade the reader that driver less cars would greatly benefit the elderly. He states,
According to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, the collision rate for older drivers is among
the highest of any age group. Seniors, thus, pose a threat not only to themselves, but to others as well.
Therefore, it would benefit the elderly, as well as the rest of the population, to give seniors access to

Hawkins was determined to sell directly to buyers. Combined with the fact that Hawkins was
pioneering new game brands, this made sales growth more challenging. Retailers wanted to buy
known brands from existing distribution partners. Despite this, revenue was $5 million in the first year
and $11 million the next. [Former CEO Larry Probst arrived as VP of Sales in late 1984 and helped
the company sustain growth into $18 million in its third full year. Teaming with the existing sales staff
that included Nancy Smith, David Klein, and David Gardner, Probst built the largest sales force of any
American game publisher. This policy of dealing directly with retailers gave EA higher margins and
better market awareness, key advantages the company would leverage to leapfrog its early
competitors. Net revenue was $3 billion up 19 percent. Gross margin was at an all time high of 62.7

Moderating Effect Of Ceo Tenure And Managerial Experience...
The study examines the moderating effect of CEO tenure and managerial experience on firm specific
determinants of corporate cash holdings among private manufacturing firms in Kenya. The research
employed the upper echelons theory to identify CEO characteristics that are linked to various
organizational processes and outcomes such as cash holding. This survey based study selected a
sample of 156 private manufacturing firms from the firms registered with the KAM that are located in
Nairobi and surrounding area using stratified random sampling technique. The research collected
primary data using self administered questionnaires to gather self reported financial measures from the
CFOs. The study employed stepwise multiple regression analysis to determine the moderating effect
of CEO tenure and managerial experience on independent and dependent variables. The study
concludes that the CEO tenure significantly moderates firm size, growth opportunities, and likelihood
of financial distress as determinants of corporate cash holdings. Further, the study concludes that CEO
managerial experience in other industries significantly moderates firm size and cash flow volatility
determinants of corporate cash holdings among private manufacturing firms in Kenya.

The Ideology Of American Empire, By Claes G. Ryn
The Ideology of Empire An ideology is a set of doctrines or beliefs that form the basis of a political,
economic, or other system or an orientation that characterizes the thinking of a group or nation.
Different groups can have different ideologies within a community, state, or nation. According to
Claes G. Ryn, in his essay The Ideology of American Empire, America has an ideology of American
empire. John Dewey s ideology regarding America is that it should be a democratic society. Ideology
has four functions: it has power over individuals cognition, guides individuals evaluations, guides
individuals actions, and has a logical coherence. Ryn believes that America has an American Empire
ideology. It has been around for a long time and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
To say that education is a social function, securing direction and development in the immature through
their participation in the life of the group to which they belong, is to say in effect that education will
vary with the quality of life which prevails in a group. I agree with Dewey that education is a social
function because people learn in the presence of others. I also agree with him regarding variation in
education. If a community lives poorly, the education in that community wouldn t be able to be very
effective since its people don t have as much to offer through participation. Dewey also said that a
society which not only changes but which has the ideal of such changes as will improve it, will have
different standards and methods of education from one which aims simply at the perpetuation of its
own customs. This makes sense because if a society is changing in order to improve itself, it will have
different values than one that just wants to reinforce old customs. They would be setting higher goals
for themselves to achieve but the society that is just aiming to keep up with its customs would just
keep using the same customs and values repeatedly. This applies to what Dewey says later in his
essay. He wrote that a democratic society would be more interested than other communities in having
cause to be in deliberate and systematic education. He also

Applied Ethics Biomedical Ethics Midterm Assignment
Word Count:
Applied ethics, put simply, is a term used to describe an event, issue, or situation which can be
debated on its morality. Using philosophical ideas, we try to decide the moral choice and if these
situations should be allowed. Of course, being humans and having different upbringings and different
environments, we often don t concur on many issues. One topic that is highly debatable is euthanasia.
What exactly IS euthanasia? According to Merriam Webster1, euthanasia is the act or practice of

There is active, passive, voluntary, and involuntary euthanasia as well as assisted suicide.6 In active
euthanasia, something is done to speed up death in an uncomfortable situation for a person, such as
apply a lethal injection, different from passive euthanasia where nothing is done, such as not
administer treatment because someone is so close to death or pull someone off of life support. The
difference between voluntary and involuntary euthanasia is pretty clear. This just explains if the
suicide was voluntary or not. If a patient seeks euthanasia, it is voluntary, if the person is unconscious
or cannot make their own decisions, and the family decides for the patient, it is involuntary. There is a
difference between euthanasia and assisted suicide, however. Euthanasia would be a doctor
administering the drug that is meant to cause death, and assisted suicide is being provided the means
to end your life (such as lethal injection), and administering it yourself. Where would this practice be

Outsiders And Outcasts In Society
Just how unnatural or strange are humans? You think of the outcasts in society and wonder just why
are they considered outsiders. Are they really outcast or are they simply just misunderstood human
beings. Some of our most brilliant people in the world were outcasts and strange, but overall they were
seen as downright weird. Why do humans have to name these people we do not understand?
Sometimes individually think of outsiders as people with mental disorders ,but many people with
these disorders are geniuses such as Lewis Carroll. Outsiders remain simple misunderstood people
because most of them are geniuses. Outsiders remain misunderstood geniuses. There are many people
who have contributed significantly to the intellectual world. For example Ben Franklin, he said to
have favored air baths (130). Franklyn would sit in a room that was cold and wear nothing which
persists as very strange and peculiar in the normal, natural world. Franklin is considered an outsider,
but he is one of the greatest minds of English thinking for his correlation between lighting and the fact
that it conducts electricity. Franklin invented the lightning rod, which is an instrumental device that
would prevent fires thanks to Franklin s connection between steel and attraction to lightning.
Moreover, Franklin had made some of the utmost important discoveries of the time, even though
Franklin was an outcast. Franklin created his own alphabet dispensing with the letters c,j,q,w,x, and

Script Analysis Of ( 500 ) Days Of Summer
Script Analysis (500) Days of Summer
(500) Days of Summer is a film directed by Marc Webb. This film is about Tom, a lovesick romantic
who is blinded side when Summer, the love of his life, dumps him. He falls in love with her. But she
doesn t fall in love with him. He shifts back and forth through various periods of their 500 days
together to try to figure out where things went wrong.
For the most part, Webb was successful in translating the emotion of the script to the motion picture.
Each page of the script was about this hopeless romantic named Tom and his recollection of where
things went wrong with his girlfriend, Summer. Tom was retelling the story of how he met Summer in
bits and pieces. These pieces were essentially flashbacks. But in a way, they were transitions that
worked in really well into the film by the use of the amount of days he was with Summer. So instead
of having flashbacks all over the film with poor transitional cues, the screenplay was written with the
number of days that tied in with the event for that certain day. This helped keep the emotions of the
film intact because of the transitional cue cards. Each day was shown on the screen with a picture of a
tree that changes with the mood of scene and Tom. Which is supposed be comparable with the
changes of the seasons which is now the feelings of Tom. Another thing that was omitted from the
film that was in the screenplay was the use of animation for certain parts of the script. In the script,

defending Federals couldn t fire in fear of hitting their own. This inability to shoot caused a weak spot

Some of Loring s units tried retreating, but Loring rallied them to continue. They made no further
progress forward though. They made six distinct attacks against Reilly s line, but all failed with heavy
losses. Quarles was able to break through the line somehow; his unit was immediately pinned down by
artillery fire. Bate s units was sent to the Union right, and when he was ordered to attack it was nearly
dark. Bate pushed right and swept past Union sharpshooters. Bate had expected that his left flank
would be protected by Chalmers cavalry, but because of an orchard, Chalmers was split from the main
unit and was not there. In an effort to protect this flank, Bate sent a Florida unit to the left. Since Bate
had to send that brigade to protect the flank, he was stretched too thin which kept him from advancing
forward, leading to his retreat. The other Confederate cavalry units besides Chalmers and his men
were on the other side of the river trying to hit the Federals on their left side, led by Forrest. Wilson

Hatch to strike the front of Forrest.

I m Just a Kid by Simple Plan This song also reflects the theme of lonlyness in this novel. Lonliness is
such a major theme throughout the book and reflects in other pieces of media, because it s so relatable

Grit Is Never Giving Up By Angela Lee Duckworth
According to Angela Lee Duckworth, success is not based on intelligence, good looks, health or IQ.
Success is based on one thing: Grit. Grit is being determined to work hard. Grit is being determined to
do your best and to give it your all. Grit is never giving up. Angela Lee Duckworth said, Grit is
sticking with your future, day in and day out, not just for the week, not just for the month, but for
years. To me, this quote means that you should never give up on your dreams and to always try your
best to achieve them. This quote can be connected to my life, the arts, and even the world around us. A

The Importance Of The Death Penalty
An intense debate over the death penalty has prevailed among Americans for the past decades. The
death penalty is the execution of a person by judicial process as punishment to commit serious crimes.
However, is the death penalty a fair form of punishment? Data from several studies have clearly
shown that it is a completely cruel and wrongful method of punishment. Capital punishment
disproportionately targets disadvantaged communities and therefore puts innocent lives at risk. In
many cases, the same punishments were not ordered for similar crimes but rather depended on the
social status of the accused and the accuser. However, many supporters who want to keep the death
penalty are often supposed that the death penalty can deter potential offenders from criminal activity.
While this argument seems initially convincing, it is simply a hypothetical assertion that s not
supported by any facts. So far, there has been no systematic analysis to verify this argument.
Collectively, the death penalty system lacks fairness, integrity, and effectiveness; such a system should
be abolished until the United States can achieve fairness and consistency in the administration of the
death penalty.
The death penalty is applied in an arbitrary and discriminatory manner. The poor people are far more
likely to receive the death penalty than wealthy people. One of the reasons is that poor people cannot
afford their own attorney, so all they depend on are the lawyers assigned by the state. However,

Wireless Technologies
Introduction
As wireless technology has begun to mature, the demand for wireless products has increased as new
applications for the technology are realized. One application for wireless technology at the U.S. Naval
Academy is to use the wireless capability to enhance classroom instruction. Currently the Electrical
Engineering and Physics Departments have wireless access points and wireless laptops/desktops
available for classroom instruction. The purpose of this report is to provide the technical research
necessary to aid decision makers in determining which wireless technologies the Naval Academy
should invest.
Background
In a wireless network, computers communicate with the network through a radio ... Show more

Each access point can practically service between 32 to 64 users, depending upon manufacturer. The
bandwidth will be shared by all users. The number of radio channels associated with each technology
will vary by technology and product manufacturer. Multiple channels allows for multiple access points
to be collocated in order to provide access for a larger number of users.
Current USNA Uses
The Electrical Engineering Department currently uses the Dell suite with a wireless access point and
24 wireless laptops. They use the wireless network for in class projects where the use of either
simulation (OPNET) or design software (PSPICE) is being taught and used.
The Physics department is using a LinkSys 802.11b wireless access point and LinkSys wireless NIC
cards with desktop computers. Their primary use is for internet access.
Recommendation
The best technology system for the Naval Academy would be the 802.11a standard. It has 54 Mbps
throughput capability as well as adequate range, sufficient for classroom use. Since the 54 Mbps is
shared amongst all users, it would allow, at a minimum, 2 Mbps for each user in a class of 20
midshipmen operating simultaneously. It also has higher data rates at comparable distances

Communication Occurs Everyday With People At Work Or Home
Communication occurs everyday with people at work or home. Communication is important for
people to pass information and entertainment. This paper will discuss different aspects of
communication. These aspects include the explanation of the two communication types and how
nonverbal communication can help the communication with others. Another item that will be
discussed will involve results based on a survey taken that is on communication.
People have communication using two different types. These types include verbal and nonverbal
communication. Verbal communication is defined as how a person uses words and language, where
Nonverbal communication is defined as the message components that is used instead of words to
generate meaning (Engleberg, 2013, Chapter 6: Verbal and Nonverbal Communication in Groups ).
Verbal communication can occur in several different ways, like talking to someone in person, on the
telephone, or using email for example. Using these techniques allows people to use words to share
information. Examples of nonverbal communication would include body language or tone of voice.
These allow people within the group to read hidden messages about another person without their
knowledge. The speaker of the group will be sending multiple messages using both verbal (words) and
nonverbal (body language).
Improving a person s nonverbal communication can take several steps and include several nonverbal
areas. Nonverbal communication has several different areas

Rhetorical Analysis Of `` What The Hell Is Water `` By...
Famed American author David Foster Wallace gave a commencement speech to Kenyon College s
graduating class of 2005. Most commencement speeches focus on graduates accomplishments as well
as give general life advice. Wallace s presentation follows this pattern at first, congratulating the
students on getting their diplomas. However, most of his speech is dedicated to the idea of thinking
beyond ourselves. Throughout the speech, Wallace argues we should live with empathy through his
use of humor and appeals to the audience s empathy. The introduction quickly introduces the
humorous tone found throughout the piece with his use of anecdotes. In the opening anecdote, two
young fish fail to recognize that they are surrounded by water. By juxtaposing the academic setting
with the fish exclaiming what the hell is water? the speaker creates humor with the fish s unexpected
colloquialism. Furthermore, Wallace connects the irony of the fish anecdote with the that of most
adults, who are unable to see what really matters in life just as the fish can not see the water that
encompasses them. The speaker follows this story with another about an atheist and a theist arguing
about the existence of God. By refusing to see the other s perspective, Wallace shows the humor in
their rigid belief systems. The speaker also pokes fun at his liberal arts audience by asking why they
accept both men s position without questioning their rationale for doing so. By doing so, Wallace
displays audience

Carnival Cruise Line was found in the United States by Ted Arison in 1972, it is based in Miami,
Florida. Now it is one of the nine cruise ships that own 21.1 % of the worldwide market share. The
main control of the Carnival Cruise line is located in Doral, Florida.
This cruise line is relatively inexpensive and popular for a Las Vegas style decoration and
entertainment. Carnival Company became one of the largest ships in the world in 1996. In 2001,
Robert Dickinson participated in a BBC documentary. In 2004 Carnival Corporation began a
development programs for new ships. In 2009 Company placed one of the largest boats named
Carnival Dream. Following that the company placed Carnival Magic that was the same as Carnival
Dream in 2011. In 2012 the Carnival Cruise Company ordered another ship from Fincantieri. It was
the largest ships that it was build by them.
Reasons why Carnival paid hardly any United States taxes
Many companies are trying to avoid taxes and have a higher profits that is exactly what Carnival

Similarities Between Tunisia And Egypt
Five years after the arab revolutions began, we can observe many differences as well as similarities
between Tunisia and Egypt. Tunisia was the first country that started the revolts, and since then has
had many successes, including the adoption of a constitution. Despite many of the setbacks,
interruptions, and serious crises Tunisia has been through these past few years, as long as they do not
have any more upheavals of power, the evidence seems to prove they can transform their government
into a more stable democracy. In contrast, Egypt also attempted to become democratic, but soon after
reverted back to an authoritarian and oppressive regime that has become increasingly more
militaristic, and at the moment it seems that a new attempt of becoming democratic is unlikely to start
unless people decide on gathering again and participating in other uprisings. In order to understand
why these two countries moved in such opposite directions, the causes of the riots, external pressures,
religious influences, civil rights political liberties and current problems. To begin, the author Larry
Diamond described democracy as a universal institution among all cultures. Diamond believed
democracy was not just a Western ideal, but in fact could be implemented into every culture in the
world under the correct circumstances. One of the most important circumstances needed to be in place
in order for democracy to thrive is the spirit of democracy, essentially stating that the will of the

The technological requirements for achieving AI at the level of the human mind may be on the near
horizon; they may also have already been surpassed. But AI is certainly more than a novelty research
in AI is not just for the sake of creating human like automatons. There are many potential applications
of AI that could revolutionize how human beings interact with computers. So much of how people live
their lives has changed since the commercialization of the computer. Every man, woman, and child
seems to have a smart phone these days, and there isn t a job out there that doesn t require some
proficiency in computer use. Imagine then, the impact of AI on society and the economic landscape.
Not only would computers process data extremely fast, but they would possess the same intelligence
as human beings. One application in particular is poised to have an enormous effect on one of the
biggest industries in the United States and abroad: health care. The same technology that Watson used
to win Jeopardy can be used to process all kinds of unstructured information. Medical diagnostics are
based on research, records, and personal experience. AI could be used to scan through this information
with incredible speed and accuracy, resulting in well founded diagnoses without ever entering the
doctor s office. This is just one of the ways that AI may change how things are done in the modern
world. But how close are we?

The Impact Of Cloud Computing And Virtualization
Abstract The excessive demand of pay per usage Cloud Computing model, considerably raise the need
to balance the load in datacenter. Load balancing guarantees the availability of services without
degrading the performance to users. Downtime observed by users is a big issue which leads to
violation of quality of services (QoS) and requirements for users in time. Solution to this problem lies
in improvement of response time.
In this paper, we propose an approach which reduces the time required to balance the load in the
datacenter and also satisfying the service response time to users. By concentrating on virtualization
technology here we are considering both virtual machine allocation and migration processes to
achieve a enhanced load ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

So, it s a vital issue to meet all these specified constraints and resources should be utilized efficiently,
so that profit for the CSP(s) can be maximized and cost for the consumers can be minimized.
This efficiency can be achieved by Virtualization. [1][2][3] By virtualize, we mean that a single

exposed as a single virtual resource. Resource can be anything like server, an OS, an application, or a

making use of many idle resources. [4]
When a user want to use the services provided by cloud, its request is placed in the form of virtual

Differences in Marketing for B2C and B2B Sites
Introduction
Marketing in an electronic business/commerce (e business/e commerce) arena today is truly no
different than the ole ‘brick and mortar business. Business to business (B2B) and business to
consumer (B2C) sites need to have a crafty approach to implement marketing strategies and develop
an effective marketing plan to reach the intended (targeted) market. Thus, the mixing or blending of
the four Ps (product, place, price, and promotion) in such a way to attain both the business and target
market s goals and objectives is the key to success. The correct marketing mix, or blend, will help

(http://www.vista consulting.com/marketing articles/b2b b2c marketing.htm, 2006).
Business to Business (B2B)
Like B2C sites, B2B sites must also have a good understanding on the target market they are
attempting to reach, but B2B marketing is more focused on relationship building than transaction
building like B2C sites. Additionally, the business buyer is sophisticated, understands your product or
service better than you do, and wants or needs to buy products or services to help their company stay
profitable, competitive, and successful (http://www.vista consulting.com/marketing articles/b2b b2c
marketing.htm, 2006). Furthermore, the visitor to the B2B site might not be the actual buyer, but a
member of the decision making team. Thus, B2B sites must fulfill the needs of the ‘researcher who
may be just wanting to locate detailed information about the product, long term customer care, and the
financial stability of the B2B (Grove, 2005). And, in most cases, B2B site s target market is smaller
and well defined versus the B2C target market. For B2B sites, they are building their customer base on
long term relationships, trust, and commitments not on the number of

I figured putting money towards efficiency would not only allow me to create more units, but it would
also bring down the amount of wastage as to where increasing SCU would create more wastage and
also make the efficiency upgrades that I would purchase less effective per dollar. This is likely because
with more SCU, comes more equipment and more employees that need to be trained or upgraded with

Vaccines Are A Major Cause Of Autism
Abstract
Ever since a study was posted by Ohio State University in 1998, a belief has existed that vaccines are
a major cause of autism. Despite the fact that large amounts of research have been done to disprove
this belief, the belief still persists. The research done in this paper were obtained by searching many
science databases. These studies consist of experiments and result analysis. The studies included
surveys, examination of health databases, and medical examinations. The experiments proved that
vaccines do not have a causal relationship with autism. This is shown by multiple points, including
information on the times of vaccines and diagnosis, and graphs and charts showing the relationship
between these two. This is significant because it dispels the aforementioned belief. It also shows that
people have been misinformed for years, something that must be corrected.

The Excusess In I M Your Teacher, Not Your...
There are many similarities between I m Your Teacher, Not Your Internet Service Provider and The

When she realizes she cannot stand anymore confusion in her family, she goes to wake her brother up

Hidden Intellectualism In Hidden Intellectualism

world: parents often think that games are useless time killers and that teens do not get anything from it
that could be used in the academic world. Despite the widespread opinion, it is not true. In fact, video
games are one of many other non academic interests which make people so called street smart and it is

Common Effective Preferential Tariff (CEPT) scheme as the main mechanism, which comprises a
schedule for phasing out the tariffs. In June 1993, the two governments (Government of the Lao

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Bio-Diesel
6.5.2. Bio diesel
Chemically, bio diesel is a methyl ester of C16 C18 saturated and unsaturated fatty acids obtained
through base, acid or enzyme catalyzed transesterification of vegetable oils with methanol. Enzyme
catalyzed transesterification make the whole production process considerably sustainable and greener.
In Europe, biodiesel is made predominantly from rape seed oil. Worldwide so many plants have been
used for the production of biodiesel such as jojoba oil, jatropha oil, karanja oil etc. Transesterification
of vegetable oil produce bio diesel and glycerol. Glycerol can be further used for other important
applications. The biodiesel so obtained can be added to diesel fuels in different percentage
compositions that may vary from 5% to 30%. In some ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Disadvantages
Besides having several advantages plant based renewable raw materials few limitations associated
with their use are given below:
Most of the plant products that can be used as a building block for industries have conventionally been
used as food resources. Plant resources need lots a space for their development. Biomass is essentially
seasonal, which affect their continuous supply as a feedstock. A broad range of materials that comprise
biomass could be damage if new processes need to be developed for each feedstock. The building
blocks extracted from biomass are foreign to traditional chemical producers and must be demonstrated
to function similarly to existing building blocks.
8. Conclusions
Plant based raw materials are already replacing fossil based materials. They have high substitution
potential especially for the products that have direct contact to humans e.g. tenside in detergents,
pharmaceuticals and cosmetics. In addition to that, their cost effectiveness and high concerns for
environmental consequences promote their use in various industries. In the future, plant derived
chemicals are expected to play an increasingly significant role in the commercial development of new

  • 2. Analysis Of Shinnors Gravitation Towards Kit-Cats I argue that Shinnors gravitation towards the Kit Cats was prompted by an aesthetic feeling (Huntley 1970, 17) grounded in his early historicality (Heidegger 1950, 47). Heidegger (1950, 29) felt that in order to grasp the truth, we can return to something that is already manifest, in this case I would argue that this was Donovan s work, specifically work like Balcony Series (with self portrait) . This truth happening which Shinnors experienced was therefore an example of Crowther s (2009, 70) theory of corporeal imagination , the idea that our sense of the present draws upon our actual learned responses to events of the past. If we think of our corporeal imagination being composed of layers of memory and experience, with some phenomena being ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. A Comparison of Schools in the U.S. and Japan Essay A Comparison of Schools in the U.S. and Japan In Japanese schools, from elementary schools to universities, teachers direct what students should do or how they should be. Students follow the school rules and the directions of teachers. In American schools, on the other hand, students have to be more independent than Japanese students in many ways. Because of differences between Japanese and American schools, Japanese students who begin to study in an American school are shocked, and they take a pretty long time to adjust themselves to the way of American schools. Differences between schools in the two countries are seen in classrooms and during classes: the style of lectures, the relationship between student and teachers, and the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... We kept writing for one hour almost without asking any questions. Although classes are quiet, it does not mean that all students are concentrating on the lectures. Because classes are so quiet and boring, some students are doing or thinking of something else, or taking a nap. When I was a high school student, I often fell asleep, especially on warm spring days. The teacher s powerless lecture became my lullaby, and I fell asleep easily as if I had been hypnotized. On the contrary, students in the U.S. have to listen to teachers very carefully because teachers tend to ask questions during classes, and students must answer these questions. This way of teaching is quite unfamiliar to Japanese students, and lots of them have trouble in the classroom. For example, for the first few months I studied in an American school, I was tense because my teachers asked me questions very often. I used to turn my eyes away from teachers eyes immediately after they asked something of students. Furthermore, students have to take notes by themselves because teachers seldom write on the blackboard. Japanese students in an American school learn that they have to study or read the textbooks well to take notes and to answer questions given by teachers. Second, Japanese students are shocked by the different relationship between teachers and students in American schools. The relationship between teachers and students in the U.S. is ... • 4. Summary Of The Indian Triumph Of Dionysus The artwork I chose to write about is The Indian Triumph of Dionysus which I came across on my visit to the Museum of Fine Arts. The artwork was commissioned by a wealthy Roman during the end of the second century A.D. Although the Dionysus cult may hold many mysteries it is known that this artwork originated in Rome. The individual who funded that creating of this sarcophagus desired to commemorate his beliefs. Desiring for others to know what he associated himself as is what gave birth to this masterpiece. Their were multiple different art works that caught my attention at the museum although through the semester it was the Roman chapter that captivated my attention the most hence forth I chose this artwork. Each piece of art present in the museum deserved their own acknowledgment respectively from the gold and marble jewelry present to the large sculptures rich in detail non stood out more to myself than The Indian Triumph of Dionysus.I found this piece of art to be appealing because there are many different people and beings within this piece of work that are well known in ancient Greek and Roman mythology. The entire piece is centered on Dionysus, yet everyone plays an important role in the overall story of the piece. Also, I found it very interesting that someone took a great interest in building a monumental sarcophagus for a man who was known for introducing wine. As Dionysus and his followers journeyed to the East to introduce wine and culture they were sometimes ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 6. I Am A Muslim Parents Essay I am Muslim. Muslim parents are authoritative. My parents have rules and pretty good reasoning behind them. They are strictly against parties and anything that could cause trouble in my near future. But I really wanted to experience a party. So, one day I decided to rebel and go to a friend s party one night, without them knowing. The moment I stepped foot outside my house, was the moment I walked into a huge, impacting mistake. You never really learn your lesson, once you actually experience the lesson to be learned. On September 12, 2015, Becks was hosting a party for the first time. I was invited to that party, as were many other people. I really wanted to go. I also knew that I wouldn t be allowed to go so I thought to myself sneaking out one time won t hurt anyone. Oh, the irony. One of my close friends, Seran, was warning me about what I was doing. She kept saying, You will get caught, even if you say you won t Venus, you will . I kept countering her, Seran, I know what I m doing . So she just went along with it. It s not that she didn t want me to go with her, it s that she didn t want me to get in trouble. As for my other friend, Alyssa, she wanted me to be there in case anything happened to her. So, it was getting to be 11:00 PM my parents were, thankfully, falling asleep. At 11:30 PM, I called an Uber to come pick me up and drive me to the party. I walked outside of my house, in the dark, gloomy, creepy night, for the Uber to get to me. So, the Uber ... Ampicillin On Bacteria With Plasmid The Effect of Ampicillin on Bacteria Treated with Plasmid Abstract This laboratory explored the effects plasmid has on the growth of bacteria in the presence of an antibiotic. Four plates were tested: Luria agar +amp plasmid, Luria agar +amp +plasmid, Luria agar amp plasmid, and Luria agar amp +plasmid. Only two of the plates were treated with plasmid in order to determine the effect it had on the growth of bacteria. The bacteria treated with plasmid was able to grow in the presence of an antibiotic while the bacteria not treated with the plasmid died due to the lack of resistance to the antibiotic. If the plasmid was not mixed in fully, some bacteria may not have been exposed to it, therefore dieting in the presence of ampicillin, which may have caused minor errors in our results. Also, not returning the mixtures to ice quickly enough after doing the heat shock may have caused some bacteria to not fully take in the plasmid. The heat shock is what allows for the bacteria to take in the new piece of DNA because the cell membrane opens up allowing for the plasmid to enter. In order to keep the new DNA inside the bacteria, it was crucial to quickly place the bacteria back on ice following the heat shock because this allowed for the cell membrane to close back up and seal the plasmid inside. In addition, while spreading the liquid on the Luria agar plate, I accidentally pushed too hard and broke through the Luria agar. This caused us to get a new plate and redo the past steps for that plate. Because of this, the timing wasn t kept constant for all of the bacteria, which could have affected the end results since the bacteria absorbed the liquid for various amounts of time before placing them in the ... In The Reconstruction and the Rights of Former Slaves In the 1860s the United States was a nation that had been ripped apart by the Civil War and left in torn pieces. The war left many white southerners stripped of their slaves, land, and in destroyed towns with little to eat. The only people worse off than the white southerners at this point in history were the black southerners who had nothing to their names but the freedom they had recently been granted which left them penniless and searching for a place to go. By the 1870s the Civil rights Act in full force and the African American had gained the right to vote, right to get married, equal protection under the law, the right to own land and a right to an education. The former slaves had come along way but things were not as great as they may seem. In many ways, the former slaves were still controlled by the white southerners. Many of the African Americans struggled to find work outside of working on plantations which left them with little money and without money life was difficult. The white southerners could go around the laws made by the Federal government and still for the most part control the African American southerners. A quote from our book, We are sheep in the midst of wolves stood out to me as a very accurate representation of what life would have been like for African Americans living in the South during this time. Overall though the African Americans had come a long way from slaves who worked the fields from dawn until dusk, but still needed to progress further. The Reconstruction and civil rights act would have been more of a successful if it was not for the North becoming less involved. The north became extremely involved with other factors and become less and less committed to the Civil Rights Act. Without the federal government aiding and protecting the Former ... This will be a great way to find out how the gender women established their equal rights. Women s rights are really important in today s society, so this will be a great way to learn a little more about how women came upon equal rights. Women s rights didn t just appear one day, they had to fight for what they thought was right. The first step of it all was the 19th amendment, this amendment allowed women to vote at the age of 18. Then out of nowhere A highly organized, determined opposition that suggested that ratification of the ERA would lead to the complete unraveling of traditional American society. The women that wanted to stop the ERA was a career woman named Phyllis Schlafly. Her opening to her speaking engagements began with quotes such as I d like to thank my husband for letting me be here tonight. The Stop ERA started to tell people the things that would be taken away if the ERA was passed and approved by the Congress. Now that the Stop ERA put things in other people s heads they started to worry about more things. They were starting to be scared of losing the freedom that people already did have. There were some things that might have been took away once women got the same freedom as men. Things such as sexual assault and alimony would be swept away. Also they were scared that the tendency for the mother to receive child custody in a divorce case would be eliminated. Autonomous cars have been introduced only within the last decade but their development has continuously advanced. The most current models are near perfection and will soon be on the roads. He thus, suggests, that giving seniors the opportunity to drive, even if incapacitated, would strengthen their pride and heighten their sense of individualism. He describes a friend of his grandmother as having to give up her car and having to move into an assisted living facility. This is meant to tug at the hearts of Californians. Not only does such a place sound cold and heartless, it insinuates that residents cannot provide from themselves. Having to depend on others is often seen as weak; Californians want to be self reliant they want to strive and succeed on their own. Berk is hence able to instill both sorrow and fear into his readers. If not sympathizing for the elderly who must now depend on others, the reader surely fears of being in that same position in the future. Hence, he convinces the reader that the elderly need access to these cars now, but also that the reader will need them in the future. Berk also uses a great amount of factual evidence to persuade the reader that driver less cars would greatly benefit the elderly. He states, According to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, the collision rate for older drivers is among the highest of any age group. Seniors, thus, pose a threat not only to themselves, but to others as well. Therefore, it would benefit the elderly, as well as the rest of the population, to give seniors access to ... Ryn, in his essay The Ideology of American Empire, America has an ideology of American empire. John Dewey s ideology regarding America is that it should be a democratic society. To say that education is a social function, securing direction and development in the immature through their participation in the life of the group to which they belong, is to say in effect that education will vary with the quality of life which prevails in a group. I agree with Dewey that education is a social function because people learn in the presence of others. I also agree with him regarding variation in education. If a community lives poorly, the education in that community wouldn t be able to be very effective since its people don t have as much to offer through participation. Dewey also said that a society which not only changes but which has the ideal of such changes as will improve it, will have different standards and methods of education from one which aims simply at the perpetuation of its own customs. This makes sense because if a society is changing in order to improve itself, it will have different values than one that just wants to reinforce old customs. They would be setting higher goals for themselves to achieve but the society that is just aiming to keep up with its customs would just keep using the same customs and values repeatedly. This applies to what Dewey says later in his essay. He wrote that a democratic society would be more interested than other communities in having cause to be in deliberate and systematic education. The difference between voluntary and involuntary euthanasia is pretty clear. This just explains if the suicide was voluntary or not. • 17. Script Analysis Of ( 500 ) Days Of Summer Script Analysis (500) Days of Summer (500) Days of Summer is a film directed by Marc Webb. This film is about Tom, a lovesick romantic who is blinded side when Summer, the love of his life, dumps him. He falls in love with her. But she doesn t fall in love with him. He shifts back and forth through various periods of their 500 days together to try to figure out where things went wrong. For the most part, Webb was successful in translating the emotion of the script to the motion picture. Each page of the script was about this hopeless romantic named Tom and his recollection of where things went wrong with his girlfriend, Summer. Tom was retelling the story of how he met Summer in bits and pieces. These pieces were essentially flashbacks. But in a way, they were transitions that worked in really well into the film by the use of the amount of days he was with Summer. So instead of having flashbacks all over the film with poor transitional cues, the screenplay was written with the number of days that tied in with the event for that certain day. This helped keep the emotions of the film intact because of the transitional cue cards. Each day was shown on the screen with a picture of a tree that changes with the mood of scene and Tom. Which is supposed be comparable with the changes of the seasons which is now the feelings of Tom. Another thing that was omitted from the film that was in the screenplay was the use of animation for certain parts of the script. In the script, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 27. The Importance Of The Death Penalty An intense debate over the death penalty has prevailed among Americans for the past decades. The death penalty is the execution of a person by judicial process as punishment to commit serious crimes. However, is the death penalty a fair form of punishment? Data from several studies have clearly shown that it is a completely cruel and wrongful method of punishment. Capital punishment disproportionately targets disadvantaged communities and therefore puts innocent lives at risk. In many cases, the same punishments were not ordered for similar crimes but rather depended on the social status of the accused and the accuser. However, many supporters who want to keep the death penalty are often supposed that the death penalty can deter potential offenders from criminal activity. While this argument seems initially convincing, it is simply a hypothetical assertion that s not supported by any facts. So far, there has been no systematic analysis to verify this argument. Collectively, the death penalty system lacks fairness, integrity, and effectiveness; such a system should be abolished until the United States can achieve fairness and consistency in the administration of the death penalty. The death penalty is applied in an arbitrary and discriminatory manner. The poor people are far more likely to receive the death penalty than wealthy people. Most commencement speeches focus on graduates accomplishments as well as give general life advice. Wallace s presentation follows this pattern at first, congratulating the students on getting their diplomas. However, most of his speech is dedicated to the idea of thinking beyond ourselves. Throughout the speech, Wallace argues we should live with empathy through his use of humor and appeals to the audience s empathy. The introduction quickly introduces the humorous tone found throughout the piece with his use of anecdotes. In the opening anecdote, two young fish fail to recognize that they are surrounded by water. By juxtaposing the academic setting with the fish exclaiming what the hell is water? the speaker creates humor with the fish s unexpected colloquialism. Furthermore, Wallace connects the irony of the fish anecdote with the that of most adults, who are unable to see what really matters in life just as the fish can not see the water that encompasses them. The speaker follows this story with another about an atheist and a theist arguing about the existence of God. By refusing to see the other s perspective, Wallace shows the humor in their rigid belief systems. The speaker also pokes fun at his liberal arts audience by asking why they accept both men s position without questioning their rationale for doing so. By doing so, Wallace displays audience ... Downtime observed by users is a big issue which leads to violation of quality of services (QoS) and requirements for users in time. Solution to this problem lies in improvement of response time. In this paper, we propose an approach which reduces the time required to balance the load in the datacenter and also satisfying the service response time to users. By concentrating on virtualization technology here we are considering both virtual machine allocation and migration processes to achieve a enhanced load ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... From the CSP view point, demanded services should be serve in time and the manner of allocation of resources must be fair. From customer view point demanded services should meet its QoS requirements and must satisfy their needs. Form energy saving view point, cloud carrier which provides access via network, should use available bandwidth efficiently. So, it s a vital issue to meet all these specified constraints and resources should be utilized efficiently, so that profit for the CSP(s) can be maximized and cost for the consumers can be minimized. This efficiency can be achieved by Virtualization. [1][2][3] By virtualize, we mean that a single physical resource can be exposed as multiple virtual resources or multiple physical resources can be exposed as a single virtual resource. Resource can be anything like server, an OS, an application, or a storage device. The main aim of virtualization is to efficiently utilize the limited IT resources by making use of many idle resources. [4] When a user want to use the services provided by cloud, its request is placed in the form of virtual machines in datacenter on currently active physical machine fulfilling the requirements specified by the user in such ... Marketing Differences Between B2C and B2B Websites Differences in Marketing for B2C and B2B Sites March 27, 2006 Differences in Marketing for B2C and B2B Sites Introduction Marketing in an electronic business/commerce (e business/e commerce) arena today is truly no different than the ole ‘brick and mortar business. Business to business (B2B) and business to consumer (B2C) sites need to have a crafty approach to implement marketing strategies and develop an effective marketing plan to reach the intended (targeted) market. Thus, the mixing or blending of the four Ps (product, place, price, and promotion) in such a way to attain both the business and target market s goals and objectives is the key to success. The correct marketing mix, or blend, will help both a B2B or B2C site ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is because the relationships that are developed between a B2C business and a consumer are normally shorter in duration than the relationship between a B2B business and their customer (http://www.vista consulting.com/marketing articles/b2b b2c marketing.htm, 2006). Business to Business (B2B) Like B2C sites, B2B sites must also have a good understanding on the target market they are attempting to reach, but B2B marketing is more focused on relationship building than transaction building like B2C sites. Additionally, the business buyer is sophisticated, understands your product or service better than you do, and wants or needs to buy products or services to help their company stay profitable, competitive, and successful (http://www.vista consulting.com/marketing articles/b2b b2c marketing.htm, 2006). Furthermore, the visitor to the B2B site might not be the actual buyer, but a member of the decision making team. Thus, B2B sites must fulfill the needs of the ‘researcher who may be just wanting to locate detailed information about the product, long term customer care, and the financial stability of the B2B (Grove, 2005). And, in most cases, B2B site s target market is smaller and well defined versus the B2C target market. For B2B sites, they are building their customer base on long term relationships, trust, and commitments not on the number of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Battle Of The Kosovo War The first battle of the Kosovo war which was meticulously planned with stomach revolting malice was less than a mile from my house and it resulted in the death of over 50 members of the Jashari family. As the Serbian Army surrounded the three homes the Jashari s began to prepare for the onslaught that was to come. Although less than 20 men had arms they valiantly defended their house, their land, and most importantly their family from a determined and well organize Army. These men, farmers by trade, equipped with simple Kalashnikov rifles defended their homes and lives for hours and didn t allow for their bloodthirsty enemies to advance even one step towards their precious brothers, sisters, mothers, and fathers. We were cautious not to run into the Serbian Army as they would want us to head South out of the country rather than North towards our cousin s village. We finally made it to our cousins after what seemed like a never ending trip although we only traveled ten miles. Our cousin s village would be our home for now, it was better than being dead but we would soon learn that death could be easier to obtain than picking an apple from a tree. The days slowly passed and every night we would hear the roar of gun fire. My mother would rock me to bed to the sound of those shots and the explosions in the distance. The war raged on and people in the cities were in need of food. At the time we had plenty of food so my father Gani and his nephew Besnik decided they would enter the city to sell some crops. Gani and Besnik loaded their small car with apples, plums, berries, some flour, and corn. They set off for Mitrovica and planned to take the backroads all the way there. Their plans were soon useless as they were required to get off of the backroads. Gani and Besnik drove onto the main road that leads to Mitorvica and travelled on that road for a little over a mile. They spotted an armored vehicle belonging to the Serbian Army and decided to continue driving past it. Unfortunately, the vehicle turned around and began following them. I figured putting money towards efficiency would not only allow me to create more units, but it would also bring down the amount of wastage as to where increasing SCU would create more wastage and also make the efficiency upgrades that I would purchase less effective per dollar. This is likely because with more SCU, comes more equipment and more employees that need to be trained or upgraded with efficiency updates in order to improve production and productivity. Therefore, less units equals less distribution of upgrades. I essentially wanted to be an efficient company that could maintain a steadily increasing Share Holder Value with as few expenditures as possible, and it seemed to be working for a while. I also wanted to have a higher number of sales as it seemed the more sales I had, the less customers the competition had to sell to keeping their sales down a little bit. B. • 40. Vaccines Are A Major Cause Of Autism Abstract Ever since a study was posted by Ohio State University in 1998, a belief has existed that vaccines are a major cause of autism. Despite the fact that large amounts of research have been done to disprove this belief, the belief still persists. The research done in this paper were obtained by searching many science databases. These studies consist of experiments and result analysis. The studies included surveys, examination of health databases, and medical examinations. The experiments proved that vaccines do not have a causal relationship with autism. This is shown by multiple points, including information on the times of vaccines and diagnosis, and graphs and charts showing the relationship between these two. This is significant because it dispels the aforementioned belief. It also shows that people have been misinformed for years, something that must be corrected. Intro Autism is a disorder that is classified by certain difficulties with social skills, difficulties with communication, and repetitive behavior (NIHM RSS). The man of the household is breaking down, and does not know where he stands anymore nor does Elizabeth. The world had lost its boundary lines. My mother, who was small and soft, was now the strength of the family; my father, who was the rock on which the family had been built, was sobbing like the tiniest child. Everything was out of tune, like a broken accordion (20). When Elizabeth realizes that her father cannot support her family devastates her and Elizabeth is broken by that realization. A girl sits in front of the display with a fluffy owl on it in large headphones and quietly talking with the people behind the screen. Suddenly, a door opens up with yelling Turn this off and go do your homework! Stop wasting your time, stupid! This sad scene is familiar to many people all around the world: parents often think that games are useless time killers and that teens do not get anything from it that could be used in the academic world. Despite the widespread opinion, it is not true. In fact, video games are one of many other non academic interests which make people so called street smart and it is largely underestimated intelligence. One example of such games actively played worldwide is World of Warcraft (WoW). In the game, a person chooses a character among many classes and goes to explore the world kills monsters, accomplishes achievements, and investigates stories of thousands of non playable characters. All the activities help a player to develop qualities which are useful in the real world both academically and not. Some writers also investigate the theme of underrating of street smarts. One of them is a professor of English and education at the University of Illinois at Chicago Gerald Graff. A broad range of materials that comprise biomass could be damage if new processes need to be developed for each feedstock. The building blocks extracted from biomass are foreign to traditional chemical producers and must be demonstrated to function similarly to existing building blocks. 8.
