The Main Threat to the Stability of the Weimar Republic in...
The main threat to the stability of the Weimar republic in the period 1919 1923 came from the political
violence of the extreme right There were many threats posing Germany in 1919, the political system
formed on the back of failure produced resentment towards Weimar from both the extreme left and the
right. Other factors linked to economic issues caused by war, such as hyperinflation and the war guilt
clause which `led to much suffering for the German people through loss of savings and jobs and The
constitution further hindered the stability of the government as it was fundamentally flawed. However
the main threat to the political system was from the right and influence of the elites, although the
breakdown of extreme right putsches ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Although the putsches were too weak and disorganized to seize power in the earlier years of Weimar it
is significant that the putsches happened at all thus highlighting the looming threat of the extreme
right. The left wing, although a potential for disaster and threat, was not as great a threat as the right to
Weimar. The KPD can be seen as a reasonable political force in the years of 1919 23 as it enjoyed
support of 10 15% of the electorate a there were continuous revolutionary disturbances. However, the
endless protests, strikes and uprisings by the extreme left gave the impression of a Bolshevik inspired
threat to Germany. Whereas the opposition of the left, army, the police and friekorps easily crushed
rebellions; removing the strong leadership of Karl Liebknecht and Rosa Luxemburg. Thus due to
propaganda as a result of right wing parties, Germans began to have exaggerated fears about the
possibility of impending revolution. Revolution in Germany was a central element of Lenin s foreign
policy and the people were also aware that the soviet red army had caused revolution in Poland.
However, the perception of the threat of the extreme left never matched the reality. The revolutionary
left was divided (USPD/KPD) and did not benefit from widespread worker support. In October 1920
many USPD members joined the KPD ad the KPD joined the

Baking Personal Narrative
While pursuing my Associates Degree in Baking and Pastry Arts from The Culinary Institute of
America I was introduced to numerous working kitchen environments that were entirely new to me.
The rigorous curriculum that proceeded throughout the course ensured that going into the industry I
would have the knowledge and techniques required to be successful in any potential work
environment I may take on.
Being able to work quickly and multitasking were greatly stressed by my chefs and are two skills I can
say I do well while both maintaining a relaxed and professional demeanor. Where I excel, is in my
ability to work well within a team and in communicating clearly with them. I am also confident in my
capability to work inexpediently and producing consistent product with attention to detail. ... Show

Analysis Of Ivan O MahoneyGo Back To Where You Came From
In fostering effectual discovery, experiences must offer renewed understandings of the world, of which
individuals are willingly receptive to. This willingness to challenge presumptions, often conditioned
by contextual rigidity, heightens emotional and intellectual awareness, thus compelling meaningful
connection with foreign people and places. Such is explored in Ivan O Mahoney s episodic
docudrama, Go Back to Where You Came From (2008), which urges participants to revoke shielded
attitudes in reassessing human understanding. Alike, the innate curiosity of individuals conjures
unexpected, transformative discovery, communicated distinctively in Sally Morgan s autobiography
My Place (1987). As responders, our reception to the composer s manipulation catalyses our own
discovery, thereby inviting us to challenge personal perspectives in nourishing intensely meaningful
discovery.
The extent to which discovery is embraced relies on the willingness of individuals to be ideologically
receptive to their experiences. The influence of discovery may not be determined by the level of
planning involved, but one s willingness widen their perspective of the world, accepting places and
people foreign to them. Whilst the mise en scene of the beach in the opening interviews establish
Adam s sheltered and apprehensive response to the refugee issue, his commitment and continual
engagement on the Go Back journey accentuates the transformation he experiences. Through the
perceptive arrangement of indirect interviewing, close up and mid shots, Adam s reality check at
Villawood Detention Centre proved both intellectually and emotionally transformative, symbolically
summated in O Mahoney s concluding image of this participant s reflection with his passport, tenderly
appreciating the safety of his home. The director purposefully juxtaposes the limited impact of Raquel
s discovery due to her detachment. The salient focus on her despondent facial and body expressions at
the Chin school contrasts Gleny and Raye s reflection on their empowering teaching experience, hence
highlighting the vitality of personal interaction in facilitating intensely meaningful discovery. Sally
Morgan similarly contrasts individual receptiveness

Reflection Paper On Color Guard
Hey there! It s Monday, July 17. My sisters and I have packed and we are officially ready to leave for
Color Guard camp. We are really excited for what is in store for us over the next few days. Last year s
camp was difficult and made our guard wary of coming back for a second try, but hopefully they ve
fixed last year s issues. The guard met up at the school this morning to be fitted for our fall costumes
and we are now on our way to start day one of camp. This year campers are sleeping in Royer Hall,
and I must admit, I believe that last year s dorms were nicer, especially considering every two rooms
had their own bathroom. Other than the dorms, I admire the intensity of this year s camp much more
than last year s. The advanced group s instructor, Rashaud, is a great teacher and I definitely believe
that I will be learning and improving with him this week. The main purpose of today was to review
the fundamentals of Colorguard such as: extensions on the left and right sides, drop spins, and a cone
exercise. Using what we have learned today, we tried out for our levels; however, he has chosen not to
assign groups until tomorrow! In addition, everyone participated in icebreaker games to better
familiarize one another and become more familiar with our surroundings. This morning s cardio was
strenuous, but the team seemed to get through it easily. After morning stretches and cardio, Rashaud
told us what groups to report to. This year, our guard managed to have two people in the

Julius Caesar And The Russian Revolution
For the longest time I have been obsessed with the murders of the Romanov family. These murders
took place during a time when Russia was struggling for power. It all started with the different
Revolutions that took place. In this essay I will explain the causes of the multiple revolutions and I
will also share the effects that the revolutions had. My main focus is to talk about the October
revolution which has one of the major events that led to the execution of the royal family. I will also
compare and contrast these events to the events that happened in the Shakespearian story Julius
Caesar. In the light of the Russian struggle there was a Revolution called the February Revolution
which came before the October revolution and dethroned Czar Nicholas II. ( 1917 Russian Revolution
Facts and Summary )The end result of this revolution was the birth of the Provisional Government
which was made up of high class Russians. The October Revolution is also known by two other
names: Russian Revolution and Bolshevik Revolution which occurred in November of 1917. This date
might catch some off guard, but according to ( Russian Revolution ) the Russians used a Julian
Calendar which means in Russia it was October . The Revolution was led by Vladimir Lenin, who was
the leader of the Bolshevik party at the time. The reason for both of the Revolutions is that the people
felt that they should not be involved in World War I while Russia was struggling to survive. The
Bolshevik party was made

What Does The White Symbolize In The Great Gatsby
Fitzgerald is a novelist in twenty to thirty of the USA. The great Gatsby is the most outstanding work
of Fitzgerald, both in thought and in literature and art. The novel depicts the tragic story of a young
man, Gatsby who from the lower class of western United States, dreams to obtain the true happiness
and love through personal struggle. But in the end he was abandoned by the rich girl. Fitzgerald uses a
lot of symbolism in the works successfully, it has become a symbol of the work, the readers deeply
understand the character and also enhance the shock and artistic expression of the theme of the novel.

Gatsby and Nick was invited to Daisy s guest, see Jordan and Daisy lay together in a huge Changsha
chair, dressed white, too. When Daisy was invited to Nick and Gatsby, she also dressed in white,
driving a white convertible. White appears repeatedly on Daisy, and it has a unique significance.
White is generally regarded as the symbol of purity, but for Daisy, there are multiple symbolic
meanings. On the surface, the white represents purity and beauty, but in fact, it is a cold color, which
represents the cold, cold, and impulse. White symbolizes Daisy s shallow, stupid and irresponsible.
The image of her vanity, her ignorance, her indifference, her selfishness and cruelty are exposed in
front of the reader, and these are the root of the tragedy of Gatsby. In fact, Daisy s life actually is a
symbol of the American dream, not only on behalf of the Gatsby s pursuit, but also on behalf of the
whole appearance of the Jazz Age society, and the hypocrisy of bourgeois values and moral standards.
It is this illusion of the so called American dream to make all the young people who pursuit is blind,

Predator-Prey Relationships
Type here. Generally in nature there is only one type of relationship the predator and prey relationship.
Everyone knows that relationship but in some instances two of the same or different species can work
together for a mutual goal. However sometimes they can become the most uncanny pair of friends the
world has ever seen.
The first instance in which two of the same species would work together would be like in a wolf pack
when a mother has just had a litter of puppies. Some of the wolves will bring the mother food to feed
her young.while the pack does this the mother is teaching her little ones the hierarchy of the pack and
how to use their heightened senses to track prey and find other wolves. Once the pups are old enough
to start hunting and help bring in food the mother can also go back to helping. Once mating season
rolls around again the whole process starts again. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In this relationship both species help one another to survive. The relationship starts with the hermit
crab walking along the ocean floor it is hiding from predators because it has no way to protect its
back. That is where the sea anemone comes into play. The sea anemone gets a free ride on the hermit
crabs back and stings any predators that come close. This type of relationship is called mutualism it is
when both species benefit.
In conclusion there are many types of relationships between species not just predator and prey. These
animals can work together to benefit one another. However some animals are not looking for someone
to help them survive some are just looking for a

Healthcare Regulation Simulation Paper
The presented article from the New England Journal of Medicine discusses the relationship between
the changes in healthcare regulation and the ways in which these changes serve to diminish concerns
from the general public. The nature of the global health law system was then discussed and it was
identified that in place of a treaty monitoring body are several soft and hard law instruments that the
World Health Organization (WHO) utilizes to establish the legal norms that serve to establish the best
practices in healthcare throughout the world (Gostin Sridhar, 2014). Healthcare regulation at the
international level is carried out via a combination of laws which are established at the national level

I began to scroll through the emojis on my phone. Yes, there were women s faces, and tiny women s
bodies. But for the women actually engaged in an activity or profession, there were only archetypes:
the flamenco dancer in her red gown, the bride in her flowing veil, the princess in her gold tiara. There
was a set of ballet dancers complete with bunny ears and black leotards, their smiles indicating that,
gosh, they were so grateful to God and everyone, really, for this opportunity to pose for Playboy.
There was a woman getting her hair cut, and another with her arm out, Valley Girl, osmosis ditz, as if
to say, Tenure? What is tenure? That sounds like an injury! Ow i!
Where, I wanted to know, was the fierce professor working her way to tenure?
Where was the lawyer? The accountant? The surgeon? How was there space for both a bento box and

roles?

When my friend and I met up for drinks, we talked about this disparity, and the smaller one on our
screens. Scrolling through the options, we rejected the dancer and the unicorn and, in lieu of anything
else, settled on a penguin. My friend was, we agreed, a penguin. Not a creature of mythical
imagination, but something real. I d read, I told her, a recent report about several hundred thousand
penguins trapped by a collapsed glacier in Antarctica. Thousands had died, but the ones that survived
did so only through perseverance regularly traveling some 40 miles across barren nothingness to reach
the ocean.
She, and the women like her, we agreed, were creatures that persevered like crazy, and often against
all odds.

How To Go Back To Photography Essay
There is more to photography than just pointing the camera at something and pressing the button. That
is where you start. You will always be learning something new, have new directions to explore, and
new challenges to face when taking pictures. Every time I take a picture, I learn more about myself,
what I value, and how I see the world.
At a young age, I have always had an interest in pictures. I used to go through every single box of
pictures in my mom and dad s closet. I would always go through them, remembering the moments of
when the picture was taken. In the pictures I wasn t in, I would ask what was happening so I could
place myself there and picture what I would have been doing at the time. I was intrigued with pictures
because when I hold the photo in my hands, I could feel the emotion, memory and time in that
moment. To my surprise, the pictures that were in the closet had helped shape a great hobby of mine.
Growing up, I was not good at playing instruments, drawing or throwing a ball, but I was good at
taking pictures. My family would always tell me how good my pictures were, giving me the
confidence in taking more pictures. I would always practice taking pictures of people even if they
came out bad. When the picture would come out blurry, I would keep taking more until the picture

How I Was Successful Developing Work Related Relationships
Given the amount of time that I have actually been full time, I believe that I was Highly Successful in
developing work related relationships. I feel that know our entire team and the other two finance
teams. Getting involved in activities such as Habitat for Humanity and Hyperstream have only
enhanced these relationships. I also feel that with most of the team I am to a point of if my work is not
up to par, any teammate is comfortableness with calling me out on it, and telling me how I should
improve. One area I know I can improve is working with our business partners who submit SM tickets
or have issues for the person on call. I could have improved communication with them about the
progress of the issue or SM ticket.
I have done a thorough job at making sure my work supports our team goals and standards. As far as
coding standards I am picking them up very quickly and even getting to the point of suggesting
enhancements of other peoples work to align more with our department standards. On ISSM I have
made sure to document any helpful resources that make our code more consistent, and add comments
to propose change to my teammates code, or comments to justify/agree to change my own code in
code reviews. I also do my best to integrate Agile methodologies when appropriate. I feel that I have
played a large part in helping our ISSM team start down the Agile road.

Summary Of The Readers Strike By John Ross
In the reading, The Readers Strike , John Ross emphasizes the lives of cigar makers working in Ybor
City, Florida during the middle of the Great Depression. Although the Great Depression was a hard
time for most people, John Ross states that a few were well off through the great depression such as
fine cigar makers, certain stock brokers and politicians. Furthermore, cigar makers worked long hours
under the hot sun for low wages even though the cigar industry was doing better than most. However,
they still pooled their money together to pay for readers. These cigar makers were often foreigners
who were illiterate or spoke a different language. A contemporary issue arose with readers or los
lectores reading to the workers the words of Zola, Dickens, Cervantes, and Tolstoy that everything
they wrote was about the great depression and specifically the lives of the workers. ... Show more

a subtle way, there is power in the dialogue, while still making it relatable and interesting. Filled with
love, anger, passion, and fortitude the show makes you fall in love with each character a little at a
time. At first glance, One Tree Hill seems like a cliche teenager show that only airheads would be
interested in, but it really is not. One Tree Hill is extremely thought out and entrapping, it teaches
teenagers life lessons by building each character into a role model, even the ones that you thought had

Jack Kerouac and The Beat Generation Essay
Born to die
The Beat Generation, made up of writers, artists and misfits, was forged not long after the end of
World War II. People wanted change, the old ways and traditions were slowly being neglected and
social rules of that time were put into question. The Beat Generation were the ones leading the way in
questioning the old rules and regulations not because they wanted to but because America wanted it.
The Beat Generation was a bohemian hipster like movement that got its drive and inspiration from
sexuality, drugs, booze, crazy people and situations and religions like Christianity, Judaism and
Buddhism. The Beat Generation embraced creativity untouched by culture. These artists found

Death is a phenomenon that many do not understand in America. America tells many that life should
be lived in a certain way in order to live life to its fullest before death comes creeping along. Humans
create this false pursuit of happiness before they leave this world. It leaves many in fear of death.
Religious beliefs teach humans to embrace death. If that is the case, then why is it that citizens in
north America still fear death when living a happy life in a first world country. Jack Kerouac is
inspired to write spontaneously through his travels in Mexico because of Tristessa s junk addiction and
how she embraces death even though her life is miserable. The romantic s wrote many poems about
death and many artists from that era embraced death because it evoked a high level of curiosity in
humans. Kerouac seems to embrace this notion too because it expresses an essential truth about the
human condition. He was inspired by a dove in Tristessa s house, Yet so much like Tristessa s eyes
that I wish I could comment and tell Tristessa: Thou hast the dove s eyes. (Kerouac 26) the Dove
represents the communication between the two worlds and more importantly it represents peace of the
deepest kind. It sooths all our worries and troubled thoughts. It helps to appreciate the little things in
life. Kerouac wrote in spontaneous prose style at this moment in time because he was captivated by
the image of the dove in Tristessa s house looking over her

Augustus In Aeneid
A ruler s strength and longevity in power can be predicted by how content his people are with the
system that is implemented by him. During the first century B.C.E., Rome experienced a period of
political and social instability when Augustus came into power determined to bring social order,
political stability, and most importantly, bring glory to Rome. In Aeneid, the epic poem translated
from Latin into modern English by Frederick Ahl, one can see portrayed the legend of a righteous
hero, deserving of his destiny as a conqueror and determined to establish a city; a story intended to
portray Augustus role as a ruler of Rome and to revere the glory of the city. The golden age of Latin
literature came about during Augustan rule, where Virgil, the most notable poet of the time, wrote his
greatest piece of literature in honor of Rome and its emperor. When Augustus came to power, he was
concerned about Rome s social health, its loss of religious ties, and its civil instability (Spielvogel
148). This explains the reason Aeneid s story was carefully crafted in such a way that as the reader

The Invention Of Gunpowder During The Song Dynasty China
During the Song Dynasty China was the most successful because it made life easier for China. The

The Cud Life Concert Analysis
A few years ago, my cousin decided to take me to a concert as a birthday gift and I was so excited
because it was going to be my first concert which was a huge deal. We went to go see hip hop artist,
Kid Cudi on his The Cud Life tour. Prior to the concert, I had heard maybe one or two albums of his
but I didn t really love him as much as my cousins did. After the concert, my life had been changed for
I had been blessed; I was in the presence of a god. I remember, there was a point in which he was
talking to the crowd and told us to forget about all of our problems and that that night was just about
feeling good vibes and nothing less. Many people don t know who Kid Cudi is; some people think he
is just the product of Kanye West, (another hip hop artist who took Cudi under his wing at the
beginning of his music career), or they think of him as a one hit wonder for his single, Day N Nite ,
(which has a really bouncy, upbeat vibe and usually people play this song at clubs and parties) off of
his most popular album, Man on The Moon: The End of Day . What people fail to realize is that Kid
Cudi is actually a talented artist who has a legendary soul and the heart of a lion, and yes, his music
could be rather explicit at times but that s part of what makes him great. ... Show more content on

There are several tracks on this album in which Cudi says things that people are afraid to admit. For
instance, in a song called, Confused! , he is asking himself, Who am I? Who are we? , and he
continues by stating that all he wants is to feel complete. In a another song called, Handle With Care ,
he talks about how sensitive, fragile, and delicate his heart is which is something people never me
because they feel vulnerable. Both of these songs really spoke to me because they both demonstrate
the fact that we re all human and it s perfectly okay to feel

Anatomy Of A Rumor Daniel Goleman
Psychologist Daniel Goleman explains in his article Anatomy of a Rumor: It Flies on Fear that anxiety
is the driving factor for the spread of rumors, and that people who fall victim to them should use
contrary evidence to disprove the rumor.
There are too many examples of rumors to list, but Goleman selects a few to demonstrate the ample
variety in which rumors come. Goleman explains that rumors are a kind of opportunistic information
virus (487), which spread because of the anxiety they evoke in people. Rumors hold some level of
emotional value and can help people feel more in control of an otherwise tumultuous situation. It is
common to want an answer to something unknown, and rumors can offer a proposed explanation. The
most quickly spread rumor is the one containing content that is cause for concern, because sharing the
rumor can be comforting to the one repeating it. The emotional importance of a rumor separates it
from regular gossip and causes it to be spread more expeditiously. ... Show more content on

Beyond interviews, researchers can derive a false rumor in order to determine how different types of
rumors are spread, and to determine the demographic spreading those different rumors. The language
of the designed rumor is very specific, as both denotation and connotation are critical components of
how the rumor will be taken and spread. Referring back to the notion that rumors are flared and
sustained by anxiety, Dr. Rosnow, a psychologist at Temple University, found that the likelihood of
someone spreading a rumor directly correlated with the likelihood of that person falling victim to the
rumor. If a woman hears a rumor about something that could not conceivably happen to her, she is
much less likely to repeat that rumor than if it were about something that could easily happen to

KPMG Deferred Tax Issues
KPMG Deferred Tax Issues: Valuation Allowance
Issue 1: Conclude on the appropriateness of the engagement team s decision for valuation allowance.
1. Clarify Issues Objectives
ASC 740 10 05 5 defines a deferred tax asset as:
A deferred tax asset is measured using the applicable enacted tax rate and provisions of the enacted tax
law. A deferred tax asset is reduced by a valuation allowance if, based on the weight of evidence
available, it is more likely than not that some portion or all of a deferred tax asset will not be realized.
ASC 740 10 05 5 also states the following:
There are two basic principles related to accounting for income taxes, each of which considers
uncertainty through the application of recognition and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Thus, a 5% increase in profit margin is not indicative of Riggers historical data and is not a
conservative estimate.
Riggers also projects 100% rig efficiency, which assumes the rig will endure absolutely no issues,
repairs, or maintenance for the next ten years. This assumption seems highly unlikely. A more
conservative assumption would take into account the inevitable off days of the rig and thereby reduce
the rig efficiency projection slightly.
Additionally, the engagement team s assessment of valuation allowance is based on the assumption
that the Brazil segment of operations will cease or lose profitability after the fiscal year 2021. If,
instead, we assume operations in Brazil will continue and remain profitable until further notice, the
deferred asset will eventually be used to its entirety and no valuation allowance should be recognized.
However, if the given assumption of ceased operations in 2021 stands, a more fair and conservative
representation requires an adjustment for valuation allocation.
Given the slightly optimistic nature of the assumptions surrounding profit margin and rig efficiency,
reducing both percentage values would provide more conservative estimates. If profit margin and rig
efficiency were reduced to 11% and 98%, respectively, a valuation allowance of approximately

Human Rights Of The Middle East Essay
After the Arab Spring movements in the Middle East, which embodied people s demands for more
democratic governance, overthrew the leaders of Tunisia and Egypt, the revolt, in 2011, eventually
reached Libya where the central leader, Muammar Gaddafi, had exercised 42 years of dictatorship.
Such movements inevitably led to the suppression from the central government and Gaddafi launched
a full scale campaign in cracking down the opposition. The crackdown eventually attracted
international anxiety when sufficient evidence suggested that Gaddafi was planning a massacre of
civilians in Benghazi. Therefore, in response to such predicted human rights disaster, the international
community intervened in Libya for the universal cause of protecting human rights. And of course,
human rights protection has always been a fundamental principle for American leadership and such
intervention certainly manifested America s resolution to promote human rights abroad, although there
was time when the Untied States failed to embrace human rights. However, the disparity in policies
and other national interests among the western countries (especially, France, the U.K. and the U.S.),
the ignorance of the role played by the local Islamic extremists and the failures to stick to the UNSC
resolution 1973 and explore political alternatives eventually led to the turmoil in current Libya. In
fact, the political concept or mechanism for human rights intervention had already been discussed and
established

Hitchhiker s Guide to the Galaxy directed by Garth Jennings. The Hitchhiker s Guide to the Galaxy is

story is satirical guide book to help you navigate and hitchhike throughout the galaxy. The first

comparison will be the plot events. Lastly is the comparison and contrast of the resolution. Due to the

Effects Of Stress On The Body
Memory performance can often be hijacked by a given load of stress on the body. Stress is both a
versatile agent that disrupts the human body s normal mental, physical, and emotional state, and the
body s natural reaction to change (Staal, 2004). The effects of this amorphous phenomenon have been
studied from a number of angles including but not limited to stress related sleep pattern disturbances,
mood swings, attention spans, weight gain, long term illnesses, and cognitive function. This review
will focus on the effects of psychological stress on people s ability to encode, store, and retain
memories. When the human body is presented with a stressful situation, the body enters a state of
emergency called the fight or flight response, also known as the acute stress response. Involuntarily,
the body s sympathetic nervous system is aroused and releases adrenaline, norepinephrine, and
cortisol from the adrenal glands of the brain. These hormones trigger a series of physiological
responses facilitating acceleration in heart rate and breathing, constriction of blood vessels, relaxed
bladder, inhibition of metabolic digestion, tightened muscles, and sharper vision due to pupil dilation.
This is a result of the human body instinctively protecting itself from threat of pain or injury by
shutting down all of the nonessential systems, and supplying the bodily systems needed to respond to
the emergency with its necessary components, like sufficient amounts of oxygen and

  • 2. The Main Threat to the Stability of the Weimar Republic in... The main threat to the stability of the Weimar republic in the period 1919 1923 came from the political violence of the extreme right There were many threats posing Germany in 1919, the political system formed on the back of failure produced resentment towards Weimar from both the extreme left and the right. Other factors linked to economic issues caused by war, such as hyperinflation and the war guilt clause which `led to much suffering for the German people through loss of savings and jobs and The constitution further hindered the stability of the government as it was fundamentally flawed. Although the putsches were too weak and disorganized to seize power in the earlier years of Weimar it is significant that the putsches happened at all thus highlighting the looming threat of the extreme right. The left wing, although a potential for disaster and threat, was not as great a threat as the right to Weimar. The KPD can be seen as a reasonable political force in the years of 1919 23 as it enjoyed support of 10 15% of the electorate a there were continuous revolutionary disturbances. However, the endless protests, strikes and uprisings by the extreme left gave the impression of a Bolshevik inspired threat to Germany. Whereas the opposition of the left, army, the police and friekorps easily crushed rebellions; removing the strong leadership of Karl Liebknecht and Rosa Luxemburg. Thus due to propaganda as a result of right wing parties, Germans began to have exaggerated fears about the possibility of impending revolution. Revolution in Germany was a central element of Lenin s foreign policy and the people were also aware that the soviet red army had caused revolution in Poland. However, the perception of the threat of the extreme left never matched the reality. The revolutionary left was divided (USPD/KPD) and did not benefit from widespread worker support. In October 1920 many USPD members joined the KPD ad the KPD joined the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 5. Analysis Of Ivan O MahoneyGo Back To Where You Came From In fostering effectual discovery, experiences must offer renewed understandings of the world, of which individuals are willingly receptive to. This willingness to challenge presumptions, often conditioned by contextual rigidity, heightens emotional and intellectual awareness, thus compelling meaningful connection with foreign people and places. Such is explored in Ivan O Mahoney s episodic docudrama, Go Back to Where You Came From (2008), which urges participants to revoke shielded attitudes in reassessing human understanding. Alike, the innate curiosity of individuals conjures unexpected, transformative discovery, communicated distinctively in Sally Morgan s autobiography My Place (1987). As responders, our reception to the composer s manipulation catalyses our own discovery, thereby inviting us to challenge personal perspectives in nourishing intensely meaningful discovery. The extent to which discovery is embraced relies on the willingness of individuals to be ideologically receptive to their experiences. The influence of discovery may not be determined by the level of planning involved, but one s willingness widen their perspective of the world, accepting places and people foreign to them. Whilst the mise en scene of the beach in the opening interviews establish Adam s sheltered and apprehensive response to the refugee issue, his commitment and continual engagement on the Go Back journey accentuates the transformation he experiences. Through the perceptive arrangement of indirect interviewing, close up and mid shots, Adam s reality check at Villawood Detention Centre proved both intellectually and emotionally transformative, symbolically summated in O Mahoney s concluding image of this participant s reflection with his passport, tenderly appreciating the safety of his home. The director purposefully juxtaposes the limited impact of Raquel s discovery due to her detachment. The salient focus on her despondent facial and body expressions at the Chin school contrasts Gleny and Raye s reflection on their empowering teaching experience, hence highlighting the vitality of personal interaction in facilitating intensely meaningful discovery. Sally Morgan similarly contrasts individual receptiveness ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 7. Reflection Paper On Color Guard Hey there! It s Monday, July 17. My sisters and I have packed and we are officially ready to leave for Color Guard camp. We are really excited for what is in store for us over the next few days. Last year s camp was difficult and made our guard wary of coming back for a second try, but hopefully they ve fixed last year s issues. The guard met up at the school this morning to be fitted for our fall costumes and we are now on our way to start day one of camp. This year campers are sleeping in Royer Hall, and I must admit, I believe that last year s dorms were nicer, especially considering every two rooms had their own bathroom. Other than the dorms, I admire the intensity of this year s camp much more than last year s. The advanced group s instructor, Rashaud, is a great teacher and I definitely believe that I will be learning and improving with him this week. The main purpose of today was to review the fundamentals of Colorguard such as: extensions on the left and right sides, drop spins, and a cone exercise. Using what we have learned today, we tried out for our levels; however, he has chosen not to assign groups until tomorrow! In addition, everyone participated in icebreaker games to better familiarize one another and become more familiar with our surroundings. This morning s cardio was strenuous, but the team seemed to get through it easily. After morning stretches and cardio, Rashaud told us what groups to report to. This year, our guard managed to have two people in the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. Julius Caesar And The Russian Revolution For the longest time I have been obsessed with the murders of the Romanov family. These murders took place during a time when Russia was struggling for power. It all started with the different Revolutions that took place. In this essay I will explain the causes of the multiple revolutions and I will also share the effects that the revolutions had. My main focus is to talk about the October revolution which has one of the major events that led to the execution of the royal family. I will also compare and contrast these events to the events that happened in the Shakespearian story Julius Caesar. In the light of the Russian struggle there was a Revolution called the February Revolution which came before the October revolution and dethroned Czar Nicholas II. ( 1917 Russian Revolution Facts and Summary )The end result of this revolution was the birth of the Provisional Government which was made up of high class Russians. The October Revolution is also known by two other names: Russian Revolution and Bolshevik Revolution which occurred in November of 1917. This date might catch some off guard, but according to ( Russian Revolution ) the Russians used a Julian Calendar which means in Russia it was October . The Revolution was led by Vladimir Lenin, who was the leader of the Bolshevik party at the time. The reason for both of the Revolutions is that the people felt that they should not be involved in World War I while Russia was struggling to survive. The Bolshevik party was made ... White is generally regarded as the symbol of purity, but for Daisy, there are multiple symbolic meanings. On the surface, the white represents purity and beauty, but in fact, it is a cold color, which represents the cold, cold, and impulse. White symbolizes Daisy s shallow, stupid and irresponsible. The image of her vanity, her ignorance, her indifference, her selfishness and cruelty are exposed in front of the reader, and these are the root of the tragedy of Gatsby. In fact, Daisy s life actually is a symbol of the American dream, not only on behalf of the Gatsby s pursuit, but also on behalf of the whole appearance of the Jazz Age society, and the hypocrisy of bourgeois values and moral standards. Everyone knows that relationship but in some instances two of the same or different species can work together for a mutual goal. However sometimes they can become the most uncanny pair of friends the world has ever seen. The first instance in which two of the same species would work together would be like in a wolf pack when a mother has just had a litter of puppies. Some of the wolves will bring the mother food to feed her young.while the pack does this the mother is teaching her little ones the hierarchy of the pack and how to use their heightened senses to track prey and find other wolves. Once the pups are old enough to start hunting and help bring in food the mother can also go back to helping. Once mating season rolls around again the whole process starts again. ... The nature of the global health law system was then discussed and it was identified that in place of a treaty monitoring body are several soft and hard law instruments that the World Health Organization (WHO) utilizes to establish the legal norms that serve to establish the best practices in healthcare throughout the world (Gostin Sridhar, 2014). But for the women actually engaged in an activity or profession, there were only archetypes: the flamenco dancer in her red gown, the bride in her flowing veil, the princess in her gold tiara. There was a set of ballet dancers complete with bunny ears and black leotards, their smiles indicating that, gosh, they were so grateful to God and everyone, really, for this opportunity to pose for Playboy. There was a woman getting her hair cut, and another with her arm out, Valley Girl, osmosis ditz, as if to say, Tenure? What is tenure? That sounds like an injury! Ow i! Where, I wanted to know, was the fierce professor working her way to tenure? Where was the lawyer? The accountant? The surgeon? You will always be learning something new, have new directions to explore, and new challenges to face when taking pictures. Every time I take a picture, I learn more about myself, what I value, and how I see the world. At a young age, I have always had an interest in pictures. I used to go through every single box of pictures in my mom and dad s closet. I would always go through them, remembering the moments of when the picture was taken. In the pictures I wasn t in, I would ask what was happening so I could place myself there and picture what I would have been doing at the time. I was intrigued with pictures because when I hold the photo in my hands, I could feel the emotion, memory and time in that moment. To my surprise, the pictures that were in the closet had helped shape a great hobby of mine. Growing up, I was not good at playing instruments, drawing or throwing a ball, but I was good at taking pictures. Summary Of The Readers Strike By John Ross In the reading, The Readers Strike , John Ross emphasizes the lives of cigar makers working in Ybor City, Florida during the middle of the Great Depression. Although the Great Depression was a hard time for most people, John Ross states that a few were well off through the great depression such as fine cigar makers, certain stock brokers and politicians. Furthermore, cigar makers worked long hours under the hot sun for low wages even though the cigar industry was doing better than most. However, they still pooled their money together to pay for readers. These cigar makers were often foreigners who were illiterate or spoke a different language. A contemporary issue arose with readers or los lectores reading to the workers the words of Zola, Dickens, Cervantes, and Tolstoy that everything they wrote was about the great depression and specifically the lives of the workers. ... One Tree Hill is extremely thought out and entrapping, it teaches teenagers life lessons by building each character into a role model, even the ones that you thought had no heart. Humans create this false pursuit of happiness before they leave this world. It leaves many in fear of death. Religious beliefs teach humans to embrace death. If that is the case, then why is it that citizens in north America still fear death when living a happy life in a first world country. Jack Kerouac is inspired to write spontaneously through his travels in Mexico because of Tristessa s junk addiction and how she embraces death even though her life is miserable. The romantic s wrote many poems about death and many artists from that era embraced death because it evoked a high level of curiosity in humans. Kerouac seems to embrace this notion too because it expresses an essential truth about the human condition. He was inspired by a dove in Tristessa s house, Yet so much like Tristessa s eyes that I wish I could comment and tell Tristessa: Thou hast the dove s eyes. (Kerouac 26) the Dove represents the communication between the two worlds and more importantly it represents peace of the deepest kind. It sooths all our worries and troubled thoughts. • 19. Augustus In Aeneid A ruler s strength and longevity in power can be predicted by how content his people are with the system that is implemented by him. During the first century B.C.E., Rome experienced a period of political and social instability when Augustus came into power determined to bring social order, political stability, and most importantly, bring glory to Rome. In Aeneid, the epic poem translated from Latin into modern English by Frederick Ahl, one can see portrayed the legend of a righteous hero, deserving of his destiny as a conqueror and determined to establish a city; a story intended to portray Augustus role as a ruler of Rome and to revere the glory of the city. The golden age of Latin literature came about during Augustan rule, where Virgil, the most notable poet of the time, wrote his greatest piece of literature in honor of Rome and its emperor. When Augustus came to power, he was concerned about Rome s social health, its loss of religious ties, and its civil instability (Spielvogel 148). After the concert, my life had been changed for I had been blessed; I was in the presence of a god. I remember, there was a point in which he was talking to the crowd and told us to forget about all of our problems and that that night was just about feeling good vibes and nothing less. Many people don t know who Kid Cudi is; some people think he is just the product of Kanye West, (another hip hop artist who took Cudi under his wing at the beginning of his music career), or they think of him as a one hit wonder for his single, Day N Nite , (which has a really bouncy, upbeat vibe and usually people play this song at clubs and parties) off of his most popular album, Man on The Moon: The End of Day . Anatomy Of A Rumor Daniel Goleman Psychologist Daniel Goleman explains in his article Anatomy of a Rumor: It Flies on Fear that anxiety is the driving factor for the spread of rumors, and that people who fall victim to them should use contrary evidence to disprove the rumor. There are too many examples of rumors to list, but Goleman selects a few to demonstrate the ample variety in which rumors come. Goleman explains that rumors are a kind of opportunistic information virus (487), which spread because of the anxiety they evoke in people. Rumors hold some level of emotional value and can help people feel more in control of an otherwise tumultuous situation. It is common to want an answer to something unknown, and rumors can offer a proposed explanation. The most quickly spread rumor is the one containing content that is cause for concern, because sharing the rumor can be comforting to the one repeating it. Riggers also projects 100% rig efficiency, which assumes the rig will endure absolutely no issues, repairs, or maintenance for the next ten years. This assumption seems highly unlikely. A more conservative assumption would take into account the inevitable off days of the rig and thereby reduce the rig efficiency projection slightly. Additionally, the engagement team s assessment of valuation allowance is based on the assumption that the Brazil segment of operations will cease or lose profitability after the fiscal year 2021. If, instead, we assume operations in Brazil will continue and remain profitable until further notice, the deferred asset will eventually be used to its entirety and no valuation allowance should be recognized. However, if the given assumption of ceased operations in 2021 stands, a more fair and conservative representation requires an adjustment for valuation allocation. Human Rights Of The Middle East Essay After the Arab Spring movements in the Middle East, which embodied people s demands for more democratic governance, overthrew the leaders of Tunisia and Egypt, the revolt, in 2011, eventually reached Libya where the central leader, Muammar Gaddafi, had exercised 42 years of dictatorship. Such movements inevitably led to the suppression from the central government and Gaddafi launched a full scale campaign in cracking down the opposition. The crackdown eventually attracted international anxiety when sufficient evidence suggested that Gaddafi was planning a massacre of civilians in Benghazi. Therefore, in response to such predicted human rights disaster, the international community intervened in Libya for the universal cause of protecting human rights. And of course, human rights protection has always been a fundamental principle for American leadership and such intervention certainly manifested America s resolution to promote human rights abroad, although there was time when the Untied States failed to embrace human rights. However, the disparity in policies and other national interests among the western countries (especially, France, the U.K. and the U.S.), the ignorance of the role played by the local Islamic extremists and the failures to stick to the UNSC resolution 1973 and explore political alternatives eventually led to the turmoil in current Libya. Stress is both a versatile agent that disrupts the human body s normal mental, physical, and emotional state, and the body s natural reaction to change (Staal, 2004). The effects of this amorphous phenomenon have been studied from a number of angles including but not limited to stress related sleep pattern disturbances, mood swings, attention spans, weight gain, long term illnesses, and cognitive function. This review will focus on the effects of psychological stress on people s ability to encode, store, and retain memories. When the human body is presented with a stressful situation, the body enters a state of emergency called the fight or flight response, also known as the acute stress response. Involuntarily, the body s sympathetic nervous system is aroused and releases adrenaline, norepinephrine, and cortisol from the adrenal glands of the brain. These hormones trigger a series of physiological responses facilitating acceleration in heart rate and breathing, constriction of blood vessels, relaxed bladder, inhibition of metabolic digestion, tightened muscles, and sharper vision due to pupil dilation. This is a result of the human body instinctively protecting itself from threat of pain or injury by shutting down all of the nonessential systems, and supplying the bodily systems needed to respond to the emergency with its necessary components, like sufficient amounts of oxygen and ...
