Just like any young teenager nearing high school graduation, I faced multiple life changing decisions
and now after 26 years of military service, I still believe that I made the right decision. At the time of
graduation, I did not envision college in my future. I was not fond of school and was looking to gain
experience in life when it happened; I met a U.S. Army recruiter who communicated too me, you

During the novel, The House on Mango Street, author Sandra Cisneros relives a childhood similar to
hers, where the main purpose of life is having the ability to dream. Most characters that live on Mango
