is that they have colligative properties, which can be defined as properties that solely depend on the solute s
concentration of molecules, not the identity of the solute. Colligative properties include reducing the vapor
pressure, elevating the boiling point, depressing the freezing point, and osmotic pressure.1 In this particular
experiment, the colligative property freezing point depression will be focused on. Freezing point depression
was discovered by a French chemist named Francois Marie Raoult. Raoult found that adding a solute to a
solvent resulted in an overall decrease in the freezing point temperature of the solvent.2 Calculations
involved in this experiment include two basic equations. One equation will calculate molality, and the other
will calculate the change in freezing point temperature using the freezing point depression constant, the
solution s molality, and the van t Hoff factor. The van t Hoff factor is determined by finding the number of
ions that a compound will dissociate into. In this experiment, freezing point depression will be utilized to
determine the molecular weights and identities of two unknown compounds. EXPERIMENTAL In Part A of
the experiment, the freezing point depression of deionized water, the solvent, was monitored and analyzed.

them to do to you. The decline of civility in the workplace has been on the rise. Morals are still at the
conclusion that this isn t at any value of importance (Martin). Society assumes that one is born with
etiquettes and not taught. Judith Martin states that the Original Innocence is the idea that people are born
naturally good but corrupted by civilization (Martin). According to the Merriam Webster dictionary, the
definition of civility is polite, reasonable, and respectful behavior. Incivility is an issue for many. Researcher
Jeannie Trudel of Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion says that Seventy five percent to eighty percent of
people have experienced incivility (Mattice). Employees, bosses, and even family members are affected by
one s reaction to incivility. The lack of discipline and the absences of manners is slowly creating a problem
in today s work society due to need of communication (Martin). Today s work society has targeted hate for
one another. It is typically causing many to regret their choice of profession; constantly, dreading the idea to
perform to the expected. If we are going to eliminate the cause of rude behavior and the effect of rude
behavior in the workplace, each company should evaluate their policy s, discuss proper expectations, and
provide trainings. The cause of uncivil actions can take a dramatic toll on any workplace.

The Memory Interference Test ( Mit )
The Memory Interference Test (MIT) is a computerized experiment that gauges the cognitive functioning of
undergraduate students through visual or auditory prompts to test memory. The MIT is particularly used to
test patient s memory in situations where a brain injury is in question, the results in performance are
compared to standardized scores of their peers. There is an inverse relationship between the amount of
memory target items and performance: as the number of items the subject was exposed to increased their
performance significantly decreased (Komori 2016). Does previous expose to the MIT and thus previous
exposure to other target items account for the decrease in number of correct items? Using a sample size of
10,090 the study examines the relationship between performance and if the subject has had previous
exposure to an MIT. The alternative hypothesis that there is a statistically significant difference in the
number of correct picture items and if it was the subjects first MIT attempt, which directly contradicts the
null hypothesis that there is no difference in the number of correct picture items and wether or not it was the
first MIT preformed.

After WWII ended in 1945, xenophobia amongst the white populace, coupled with an inflexible definition of

Alongside this exclusion, the post war period also witnessed the assertion of American identity formed by
culture and family in the Issei and Nisei community. This essay will argue that through Ichiro Yamada s
struggle to integrate, Okada s No No Boy represents the fracturing belief of a monoracial American identity
and the cultural instability found within the narrative. John Okada s No No Boy adopts an allegoric strategy
in order to foreground the attitudes and lives the Issei and Nisei shaped during their internment and
sometimes incarceration, which continued after the war. Moreover, as the novel progresses, Okada examines
characters such as Ichiro Yamada, who face the cultural conflicts and form the possibility of an elusive
insinuation of promise of belonging in post war America (221). Additionally, the racial slurs and violent
attacks by other Japanese and non Japanese Americans that befall him highlight the divisions within
American society. A close reading for the free indirect discourse and allegory shows how John Okada uses
these literary strategies to suggest the disturbance of American identity. Ichiro Yamada s refusal to serve in
the U.S. Army presents the parental and cultural aspects that are influenced by the belief of a monoracial
American identity. During the internment, the government administered a Loyalty Questionnaire to all
Japanese internees. To Ichiro, this either determined his rejection or acceptance into American society. One
