Elliptic Curve Cryptology Used to Make Keys
Elliptic Curve Cryptology
What and Why of ECC?
Elliptic curve cryptography (ECC) is a public key cryptography technique by making use of
elliptic curve properties and their algebraic structure of over finite fields. It is one of the efficient
ways of providing encryption of cryptographic keys.
Elliptic curves as algebraic/geometric entities have been studied extensively for the past 150 years,
and from these studies has emerged a rich and deep theory. Elliptic curve systems as applied to
cryptography were first proposed in 1985 independently by Neal Koblitz from the University of
Washington, and Victor Miller, who was then at IBM, Yorktown Heights.[1]
These curves have allowed establishment of a new generation of asymmetric ... Show more content

We take another point Q on the curve. We compute R = P + Q. It is a graphical operation
consisting of tracing a line through P and Q. This line defines a unique intersection with the EC:
the point R. R is found by taking the symmetric point with respect to the x axis (see figure 2).
Figure 2 Example of addition
Formally:
P = (x1,y1)
Q = (x2,y2)
R = P + Q = (x3,y3)
Where,
x3 = У© 2 x1 x2 y3 = У© (x1 + x3) y1 with У© = (y2 y1)/(x2 x1).
If P = Q, R = P + Q is equivalent to adding a point to itself: doubling point P.
Doubling
The operation needs a single point and consists of finding a point 2P. We draw a tangent line to
the EC at point P. This line intersects the curve in a point R. Reflecting this point across the x axis
gives R: R = 2P. See figure 3.
Formally: the only difference with an addition is the definition of У©. У© = (3x1 + a)/2y1
Figure 3 Example of doubling a point P
Calculations over the real numbers are slow and inaccurate due to round off error. Cryptographic
applications require fast and precise arithmetic; thus elliptic curve groups over the finite fields of
Fp and Fm2 are used in practice.[1]
The key generation and verification of elliptic curve analogue (ECDSA) of the U.S. government
digital signature algorithm (DSA) is described below.
ECDSA Key Generation: E is an elliptic curve defined over Fq , and P is a point of prime order n
in E (Fq ); these are system wide

Prefrontal Cortex Research Paper
The prefrontal cortex is the most anterior region of the frontal lobe. It occupies one third of the
cerebral cortex and is key for executive functions such as problem solving, working memory, and
emotional control. It is also crucial in decision making and the expression of personality. The
prefrontal cortex is imperative for efficient cognitive functioning; damage can result in severe
impairment to skills such as emotional regulation, moral behavior, and empathy. In addition, the
prefrontal cortex is a sub region of the frontal cortex; this includes the primary motor cortex and
premotor cortex in addition to the prefrontal cortex areas, which are located more anteriorly. The
prefrontal cortex itself can be divided into three sectors the

Web Based Application Development implications for project management and development

networking Professionals who wish to leverage their presentation skills with the urgency of

face to face networking over online based networking because the potential for higher quality
relationships are possible. Many individuals also prefer face to face because people tend to prefer
actually knowing and meeting who they intend to do business with. General business networking
Before online networking, there was and has always been, networking face to face. Schmoozing or
rubbing elbows are expressions used among business professionals for introducing and meeting one

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Financial Leverage
Introduction
Investment on securities such as shares, debentures, bonds are profitable as well as exciting. It is
indeed rewarding but involves a great deal of risk. Shapiro (2006) describes the emergence and
growth of the market for derivative instruments can be traced back to the willingness of risk averse
economic agents to guard themselves against uncertainties arising out of fluctuations in asset
prices. Kawaller, the President of Kawaller Company, LLC and Managing Director of the Kawaller
Fund in Brooklyn, NY (2008) analysed the prevailing scenario and stated that currency risk is an
inherent aspect of international commerce. Fortunately, for enterprises that function in this space
particularly for those that transact with counterparties ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
So a company should maintain a high level of interest coverage ratio (ICR) in order to meet its
debt obligations. A positive sign is expected between ICR and derivativesusage.
Liquidity
Nance et al. also argue that firms can reduce the expected financial distress and agency costs
associated with long term debt by maintaining greater short term liquidity. The variable used as
proxy for a firm s short term liquidity is the quick ratio. The quick ratio, a variant of the current
ratio, measures a firm s ability to repay short term operating liabilities with readily available cash.
Underinvestment
Myers (1977), Smith and Watts (1992) have found that firm value depends on the future
opportunities. If there are lots of investment opportunities available to the firms, it seems that this
firm has the capability to generate more cash flow to the firm and to the shareholders.
Consequently, this will be reflected in the stock price. So, the value of a firm having much more
investment opportunities will be higher compared with the one of a firm with limited set of
investment opportunities, which is supported by the result form Allayannis (2001). As an indicator
of investment opportunities for the company, PPE, the ratio of a firm s capital expenditures for
property, plant, and equipment to total assets and R D is the ratio

Ulysses Vs Lady Of Shalott Essay
The Victorian era was a time of contradiction. While England lamented its traditional values, it
also saw the potential for a better quality of life through industrialization. Tennyson presents this
paradox, between traditional acceptance of life and a progressive need for enhancement, in his
poems Ulysses and The Lady of Shalott . Both of these poems express a want for self revolution
while each protagonist has duties and societal expectations that are holding them back. Tennyson
uses experience, gender, and identity in Ulysses and The Lady of Shalott to explore the idea of
personal revolution. Ulysses wish for change is greatly fueled by his past experiences. Ulysses
states I am a part of all that I have met (18), showing the reader he feels a strong connection to
experiences of the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Ulysses feels his job as a king is not very rewarding. He talks about being an idle king in the very
first line of the ballad, so the reader knows immediately how mundane life as a king is for Ulysses.
He continues to say, I mete and dole / Unequal laws to a savage race (3 4), this line expresses how
hopeless Ulysses feels when it comes to his duties as king. Ruling over his kingdom is not
important to Ulysses because he feels like being a good ruler is impossible. Opposed to how
Ulysses speaks of his life as a king, he sees his life as a traveler as what made him who he truly is
saying, I am become a name / For always roaming with a hungry heart (11 12). Here Ulysses is
relating his most basic identifier, his name, with roaming the world. Ulysses desires to sail
beyond the sunset, and the baths / Of all the western stars, until [he dies] (34 35), this lets the
reader know that Ulysses wish is to see the world. Self transformation is important to Ulysses so
that his life will match how he identifies himself as an

Descriptive Essay About Opera
On October 24th, 2017, I attended the dress rehearsal for La Traviata at The Winspear Opera
House at the AT T Performing Arts Center in Dallas, TX. The dress code was both formal and
semi formal; some people wore very elegant dresses while others wore slacks and a nice formal
shirt. As I was standing outside the venue making my way inside I noticed that most the people
attending were either high school or college students. The amount of people in attendance cannot
be exactly calculated but if I would have to guess it would have been over 500 people seated just
in the grand tier section where students were seated. There were several different performers with
equally different voice parts. In total, there were 12 listed singers in the booklet, two of those
singers being sopranos, one mezzo soprano, three tenors, three baritones, one bass baritone, and one
bass singer. The three soprano singers are: Georgia Jarman, Rachel Sterrenberg, and Abigail Levis.
The three tenorsingers are: RenГ© Barbera, Brenton Ryan, and Brian Rosewell. The three
baritone singers are: Vladislav Sulimsky, Daniel Armstrong, and Bobby Tinnion. The two bass
baritone singers are Dale Travis and Ryan Kuster. Finally, the bass singer was Kyle Hancock. The
solo dancers were Caradee Cline and Ricardo Burgess and the conductor was Carlo Montanaro.
There was also an orchestra playing throughout the whole opera, I was only able to see and
distinguish a few instruments. Instruments that I saw were: flutes,

Sigmund Freud And Erikson s Theory Of Human Development
Introduction
The issue of human development has been a related one within the human society. In this respect,
there are several developmental theories that have been forwarded by some of the world s most
well known psychologists. The two main psychoanalytic theories are Sigmund Freud s
psychosexual theory and Erik Erikson s psychosocial theory. They are the two names that one
cannot miss while talking about psychology. Sigmund Freud is called the father of psychology while
Erik Erikson s ideas have become the best known.

Their theories were unique in their own way. Freud s psychosexual theory was focused almost
entirely on male development with little mention of female psychosexual development. When
Fisher Greenberg (1996) evaluated psychosexual hypotheses specifically on female they found
nothing. According to McLeod, S. (2013) Freud based his theory on the recollections of his
childhood and his adult patients, not on actual observation and study of children. On the other hand
Erikson s studies were based on children, college students and most importantly he observed his

The Rise Of Music In The Late 70 s And 80s
People in the late 70 s and 80 s have both happy and frustrating memories about the cassette tape.
This era of adolescents spent hours creating mix tapes to have their favorite songs on one tape
instead of having constantly switch out tapes for different songs. This made the sharing of music
more personal, important, and meaningful because one would want the perfect tape. However, once
the compact disccommonly known as the CD released in the early 1980 s (Downes 1) people
were not aware of how it will affect this culture of mix tapes and love for music. As the 80 s
ended, also did the era of the cassette. The end of this era started in 1983, where the sales of the
compact disc reached 800,000 worldwide sales, and officially ended in 1990, where sales reached
one billion sales (Downes 1). This demised caused the rise of the CD and what it brought. What
the compact disc brought was better sound, made it easier to produce and record music, and

As the compact disc was getting more and more popular, this connection with music and people
was being lost. The people who were born in the late 70 s lived with tapes, both video and audio,
personal radios, and saw the development of the CD s and the mp3 file. These are the people,
the teenagers, that were most affected by the cassette disruption. These are the people who spent
days, in total hours, mixing tapes to share with others and to have for themselves. These total
hours create a long list of memories that they share to this day (Bolin 7 8). Gӧran Bolin, a
professor at Södertörn University, Sweden, did a study and wrote a journal called Passion and
Nostalgia in Generational Media Experiences , and within it he interviews three focus groups. The
last focus group was the people born in the late 70 s, and one interviewee, Frida, recalls the

Mathematical Reasoning Cluster
The mathematical test is organized into three various categories. These three clusters measures and
test different skills off the examinee. The broad mathematical cluster, the basic mathematical skill
cluster, and the mathematical reasoning cluster (Woodcock McGrew, 2001). The broad
mathematical category measures skills in performing written math calculations and solving applied
problems. The basic mathematics part of the test measures computational skills and quantitative
problems. The mathematical reasoning cluster is solely composed of the applied problems test
(Woodcock McGrew, 2001). The written language test is also split into three different clusters. The
broad written language cluster, the basic written skills cluster, and the written expression cluster.
The broad written language part of the test measures the construction of single word responses of
the examinee and creation of sentences in context (Woodcock McGrew, 2001). The basic written
skill cluster of the WJ III measures the single word responses of the participant, and the
identification of errors in grammar. The written expression cluster measures the creation of
increasing difficult sentences in context and the amount of time it takes the examinee to produce
simple sentences (Woodcock McGrew, 2001). Purpose... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

were trials held for both events. Both left a mark on American history. The Salem Witch Trials
and the Kent State Shootings both were a terrible time in history. In both incidents many innocent
lives were lost that should have not been. The Salem Witch Trial began in Massachusetts in 1692

Minimum Driving Age Should Not Be Raised To 18 Essay
The big one six is an age kids look forward to their whole lives. A new found freedom teens gain
when turning sixteen is driving. Driving is a privilege and an incentive for teens, and driving opens
up a world of opportunities to young adults. Some people think teens are too immature to drive and
should wait until adulthood, however the minimum drivingage should not be raised from sixteen to
eighteen. Sixteen should be the age to drive because parents cannot run teens everywhere,
eighteen is a very busy age, and not all teens are immature. Moms and dads have a very busy
schedule. When teens reach the legal driving age a little of the stress parents have on their
shoulders is lifted off. Teens can drive to and from school, practice, extracurricular... Show more

The false assumptions people have about teens is unfair to the teens who are actually
responsible. I as a teen understand how dangerous driving is and how I am responsible for my
passengers lives while at the wheel. Why should the driving privilege given to teens at sixteen
be changed because of a few bad kids? People need not to have a bad outlook on teens just
because some teens are infact immature, but some adults are not very mature either. Teens just
need to not be stereotypes then teenagers would not have any excuse to act up if people expected
more out of them. Sixteen year olds are perfectly capable of driving, and the new found
responsibility could even make teens act more mature. Busy parents, a busy young adult life, and
mature teens are why the legal driving age should not be raised to the minimum age of eighteen.
Sixteen is a traditional milestone in a teens life, why would one want to take that tradition away?
All the opportunities sixteen year olds receive driving would be ruined if the driving age is
changes to eighteen, which could also ruin a teens future. Driving is an American rite of passage
and the system for it is fine just the way it is. Let s keep the age sixteen sweet and leave the legal

In terms of social networking, the commercial appeals to the human need to be affiliated with
friends and good times on a social level (Fowles 5). The entire scene is set within a home where
there is a cozy fire burning in the hearth. As mentioned, two men and two women are present, and
they are engaged in a game of charades when, while Revere is pondering how to enact his queue,
the church bells ring out. Looking out his window, he sees the signal light in the church steeple
and immediately speed dials a contact from his cell phone to inform them that, hey, they re
coming and yeah British, later. Completing the call, he quickly turns back to his guests,
apologizing for the interruption and returning to the game; much to the delight of the other man
and women. In terms of patriotic affiliation, history has shown that Paul Revere was in fact a key
part in gaining U.S. independence. He belonged to something bigger than himself and fulfilled his
role as a patriot. The audience is led to believe they can share that same feeling of being affiliated
with something larger than themselves that gives them pride, such as being a patriot, by switching
to Geico. This commercial also appeals to the need for guidance (Fowles 6). People listened when
Paul Revere made his midnight ride shouting that the British were coming. It is implied now too
that people will still listen to him. He might not be telling the audience that the

James Monroe. Fort Monroe was a vital piece in America s defense and history. Fort Monroe
also known as Freedom s Fortress is located near Hampton, VA. Which was at that time a small

An Analysis Of Kate Soper s Book The Human
In this analysis, Kate Soper s book The Human In Posthumanism (___) will be studied in regards to
Soper s defence for human exceptionalism between humans and animals. In this text, there is a
strong concern for the depletion of the current ecology and the rise mass consumption, Soper
suggests this is due to our current ideologies of what it means to live a rich lifestyle. The
posthumanist notion of a humananimal blurring is viewed in this text as a change that needs to be
resisted in order to move forward with the worldly issues at stake. However to do this, Soper
suggests there needs to be a sense of self realisation and self recognition that humans are in fact
more exceptional than animals to recognise their [humans] unique responsibilities for creating and
correcting the environmental devastation (pg377)
Humanism of the (___) period viewed science, rationality and reason as the dominant ideology.
This idea took more importance to humans rather than supernatural beings, thus the idea of human
exceptionalism was formed. In The Human in Posthumanism , Soper supports this concept when
she states I submit to defend human exceptionalism, and resist blurring the human animal divide .
However, one could say that her framework for thinking about the exceptionalism of humans is not
based off ideologies of the current time period, rather they are based on her wider concerns for the
planet. She states,
It is not, therefore by the reference to the intrinsic qualities of

Over the past couple of years public safety agencies have discovered the importance of crisis
communication; meaning that communication is key in crisis situations, whether it be the use of

the burden on public safety professionals.

For example they may broadcast that they are looking for an individual with certain characterises
and emphasis for people to stay away because said individual is dangerous. This allows people to

Disadvantages of Social Media
Although social media has improves our rate of communication it is important to remember that it
is not flawless. One example is the age demographic, the older generation might not have twitter or
Facebook therefore, will not receive an agencies emergency post. At the same time the younger
generation (8 16 years) might not be interested in police agencies Facebook pages therefore, they
will also not receive an agencies emergency post.
The major flaw in the relationship between social media and police agencies it that they have to
establish a relationship. People have to physically like or follow a certain group on Facebook or
Twitter it is not automatic. A vast majority of people do not do this, for example the population of
Edmonton as of 2011 was 812,200 yet the amount of people who follow the Edmonton police

My Favorite Dog Essay
Owning a dog is a lot of work You have to take them for walks, runs, feed them, cuddle with them,
and play with them. Getting a puppy is even more work because you have to train them and get
them on schedule. Bulldogs have great personalities. They are cuddly, playful, but are not the
best for children unless they grew up around kids. Since I was around 4 years old, I have been
around dogs. The first one we had was a English bulldog. He had short, stubby little legs. But we
were young, and he would always be knocking us down on our butts. Then we got an american
bulldogfrom my Dad s friend who was moving. She was my favorite dog even though she was lazy
most of the time. She would jump onto my bunk bed with me and was always gentle with me. She
would always end up being my pillow, and I loved that. So I want to figure out which dog would be
better for my lifestyle now. Based on my research and how busy I can get at times, I think it would
be better to have a Olde English bulldog puppy because they are more relaxed. It would also be less
expensive for me. The price of a bulldog varies because you have to buy breeding rights if you want
to breed your dog. I choose to research bulldogs because growing up I had 3 of them, and I would
love to have lots of them. The breeds all had very different personalities, and I loved them all, but
an Olde English bulldog can cost up to $2,500. For an American bulldog, typically you can expect
the cost to average around $1500 $4000

How Did Classical Architecture Affect The Italian Renaissance
The Italian renaissance was a time period that lasted from the fourteenth century to the sixteenth
century. Some of it s roots go back as far as the 1200s, but for the most part began in the 1300s.
The word Renaissance comes from the French word Rinascimento which translates to Rebirth in
French. Therefore the renaissancewas a time of great change, or rebirth, for Italy, and many other
European nations. Everything from art to theater to architecture was affected. There wasn t a single
aspect that was left unchanged. It was the changeover from the Gothic era to Early Modern Era.
Although there were all these new ideas going around, they were ideas based on classical teachings.
This movement began in Tuscany but flourished in Florenceand Sienna. The renaissance also
effected Rome in a great way. The renaissance revival was just as important in architecture as it was
in other aspects of the culture such as music and art. The Department of European Paintings at the
Metropolitan Museum of Art, state that the Italian Renaissance architects based their theories and
practices on Classical Roman examples. They go on to mention that aspiring architects would take a

The Ivory-Billed Woodpecker Case Study
The case of The Ivory billed Woodpecker is one of disappearance. Research of this suspected
extinct species has been going on for years. With human renovation, the homes of these birds were
destroyed, thus leading to this suspicion. Although there has been some confusion with the variable
of the Pileated Woodpecker, there are some details that contradict that possibility. Furthermore,
there is glaring evidence in the vocalizations areas, where the noises can only be identified as the
rare Ivory billed Woodpecker. The Ivory billed woodpecker is still alive because the images and
video is enough to prove it.Due to the video evidence by David Luneau, audio files, and
professional inconclusive reports, there s the possibility of it s existence.... Show more content on

As seen in the video, there is white plumage on the bird s back, in comparison to the PIleated
Woodpecker who usually just has a plain black back. The bird s rapid wing beats shows that it
cannot be the Pileated Woodpecker, since the PIleated Woodpecker does not reach speeds
evaluated. Though the color patterning is extremely similar, in the video the specific color
blocks justify the Ivory billed Woodpecker. The upper wing pattern shown is a broad, white
trailing edge and does not have the dark border that is associated with the Pileated Woodpeckers.
Although both species of birds fall in the same wingspan range of 30 33 inches, in the Luneau
video the wings are shaped in a similar manner to the Ivory billed

Introverts are the Forgotten Sheep in the Herd in the...
Shyness: Evolutionary Tactic? is an article written in The New York Times newspaper. Susan Cane
wrote the article in June 2011.The article used a variety of techniques to illustrate her point such as
examples, sources, and new definitions. Cain writes about shyness, introversion, social anxiety
disorder, and extroversion. She compares introversion to extroversion. We need equally kinds of
people in society. In my experience, people display both characteristics at the same time. The article
shynessand evolutionary tactic is an interesting article because the current social judgment favors
extroverts but does a disservice to introverts who also make important contributions to sociality.
There is a tendency in American society today to have a bias against for anyone who is not
gregarious, upbeat, part of the crowd or in the spotlight There are people who on the outside are
not sociable, because these people are shy. However, there is a difference between shyness and
introversion. Shy people often avoid many things because they are nervous or they criticize
themselves for speaking up. Introverts, however, will not be nervous or criticize themselves. Both
shyness and being introverted are acceptable traits. It only becomes a problem when a person has a
social anxietydisorder that significantly interferes with a person s life. We want and need people
to be the quiet thinkers who can go off by themselves come up with an idea and bring it back to a

Comparing The Little Black Boy And Olaudah Equiano
In William Blake s The Little Black Boy and Olaudah Equiano s The Interesting Narrative of the
Life of Olaudah Equiano presents the ideals that contributed to abolitionist cause during the 18th
and 19th century in England. Both literary works present notions that deal with identity of man as
well as further examination on Christianity which was deemed as an hypocrisy of slavery. The Little
Black Boy is about an African child who has come to term with his blackness and with divine being
that created him God. The basis of the poem is built around the imagery of light and dark. In the
first stanza the boy cries: I am black but O! my soul is white and I am black as if bereav d of light.

Forgiveness In Marinere s View Of Sea Snakes
Similarly, the Marinere gains partial forgiveness when he expresses love towards the sea snakes
in his description of their beauty, and the prayer he says for them (IV. 275 279). The Marinere
struggles with the love aspect of this pattern of justice as he struggles with viewing the sea
snakes, he has no true regard for them and does not possess the ability to view them in a positive
way. This reveals itself in his early view of the sea snakes, And a million million slimy things, (IV.

Charles Baudelaire And Victor Hugo
In France, Charles Baudelaire and Victor Hugo defined new grounds to the Romantic movement
with his poems. Often compared with Wordsworth, Baudelaire s French poems surfaced an ease of
poetic elaboration.
His poems including the L Ame du Vin and Mort des Artistes are popular for the thematic basis of
defining the pursuits of life and art.
The English romantic poetry is dense and divided into two eras; William Wordsworth, Samuel
Taylor Coleridge and William Blake wrote in the first half of the romantic period and Lord Byron,
Percy Bysshe Shelley and John Keats wrote in the second half.

epic poems. In French literature, we find The Song of Roland to be the oldest literal work. The
Song of Roland is based upon the Battle of Roncevaux lead by King Charlemagne. Some other
famous epics include The Epic of
Gilgamesh, The Odyssey, The Mahabharata and The Tale of the Shipwrecked Sailor, The Epic of
Gilgamesh is known to the oldest form of literal work present till date.
Epic poetry surrounds itself with different characteristics from different kinds of literature. We find
the inclusion of the evocation to the muse in many of the epics and that surrounds as one of the few
things that surface out as a common element in many epic poems.
Many Epics are also written the heroic couplet format. The heroic couplet is a poetic form in which
there are two rhyming pair of lines in iambic pentameter. The poetics form was introduced in The
Canterbury Tales and The Legend of the Good Women.
The study of the heroic couplet links us to the neo classical age, where Dryden uses the technique
clinically in his poems. Heroic couplets became common after the neoclassical age and were found
in the romantic era with Keats poems including the Lamia and Samuel Jonhson s The Vanity of
Human Wishes and The Deserted Village.
The major influence on the English poetry structure came in the period of the Renaissance. As

A Red Light For Difflaws By Frank Trippets Analysis

A Leader s Framework For Decision Making
In the article titled, A leader s framework for decision making , the authors David Snowden and
Mary E. Boone discuss the poor policy decisions at the governmental level and the challenges
facing uncompetitive local firms. The article explains how managers rely on common leadership
approaches that work well in one set of circumstances but fall short of others. In the complex
environment of the current business world, leaders often will be called upon to act against their
instincts. They will need to know when to share power and when to wield it alone, when to look to
the wisdom of the group and when to take their own counsel. A deep understanding of context, the
ability to embrace complexityand paradox, and a willingness to flexibly change leadershipstyle will
be required for leaders who want to make things happen in a time of increasing uncertainty
(Snowden Boone, 2007).

Obesity Treatment When it comes to digesting food normally the food passes through the stomach
and enters the small intestine. Most of our nutrients and calories are absorbed in the small
intestine and then it passes into the large intestine, where remaining waste is excreted from the
body. In Roux en Y Gastric Bypass surgery the doctors only use a small part of the stomach to
create a new stomach pouch, which is roughly the size of an egg. Once the stomach is to the proper
size they connect it directly to the middle portion of the small intestine, which is the jejunum and

Book Review Of Sherman Alexie s Superman And Me
In his essay, Superman and Me, Sherman Alexie explains how books allowed him to escape the
societal expectations for Native Americans. Alexie was raised on a Spokane tribe reservation in
Washington state. He portrays his childhood at the reservation as revolving around literature. He
then describes how his father piled literature in every room of his house, from Western action
novels to comics to books about the Vietnam War. Alexie claims that a Superman comic allowed
him to teach himself how to read, by looking at the drawings, dialogue, and the script and
making assumptions. As a result of learning to read at the age of three, he advanced quickly in
school. Alexie then compares his advancement with a non Indian child s, explaining how he

late into the night reading books to gain additional knowledge. As a result of all of this reading,
dedication, and perseverance, Alexie was able to go to college. Earning a college degree prepared
him for his future career: a successful writer. He writes novels, short stories and poems. Along with

Child Marriage Is A Violation Of Children
Child marriage is a forced marriage where the individual or individuals are children and under the
age of 18 who cannot or do not consent to being married (Jelenic Keeley 2013). This essay argues
that the best way to prevent child marriage in Australia is to generate tougher criminalisation laws.
The essay will begin by briefly outlining the extent of child marriagein Australia before going on to
illustrate a case study that expresses the issue. The essay will then argue potential solutions,
including means of tougher criminalisation for offenders. It will further consider the importance of
education for children and touch on methods to raise awareness, before drawing on ways the
community can work together to prevent child marriage. Finally the essay will reflect on the
arguments taken and conclude with the best way to prevent child marriage in Australia.
Child marriage is a violation of children s human rights and often involves physical, emotional,
financial, sexual or psychological pressure and abuse (Levesque 1999). Approximately 14
million children as young as 8 years of age fall victim to child marriages worldwide each year,
robbing them of their childhood, education and future dreams (Quinell 2015). A study conducted

years old, who has to have a special skill set in order to accommodate her young children s
academic and behavioral needs as well as nurture them as they develop and grow; this special skill
set includes an early childhood educator that is, compassionate, creative, flexible, patient, and most
of important, shows professionalism, in general. According to National Association for Education
of Young Children (NAEYC) (1993), they state, they have made changes over the past 60 years by

Carbon Dioxide Emissions in Australia and Climate Change
Market based policies are a proven way to limit carbon pollution and channel capital and innovation
into clean energy, helping to avert the catastrophic consequences of climate change
EDF vice president for international climate, Nathaniel Keohan
Introduction
In a contemporary political setting, it is now broadly recognized that over the 20th century, the
atmospheric concentrations of key greenhouse gases, particularly Carbon Dioxide have been
amplified by human activity. Australia can be held accountable for around 1.5% of global
greenhouse gas emissions. However, Australia is one of the largest carbon polluters per capita,
sitting around 24.4 tonnes per person.
Much policy discussion about climate change suggests that surplus carbon emissions are the result
of failure of the market. Since the ongoing costs of environmental degradation and climate change
are not internalized in pricing fossil fuel; a commonsense (and widely flavored by policy makers in
the international community) economic solution is to internalize the cost of carbon emissions. Cap
and trade emissions trading schemes have proven largely popular in the global policy making
community, as they enable market flexibility and allow for international targets to be met.
The problem with incentive based economic mechanisms is that it is optional by nature. Relevant
parties opt in to the free market mechanism, rather than being required to participate in a policy
based mechanism. The latter however,

Stereotypes In The Breakfast Club
Jasmin Frederick

English 101
Section 17
Professor Redmond
The Eighties
The nineteen eighties were the most important and remembered decades; Ronald Reagan, MTV,
cliques, fashion icons and Blockbuster. High school was different than today. The Breakfast Club
(1985) by John Hughes was the most iconic movie to sum up the eighties; a movie delving into
the different stereotypes and stigma of mental illness and bullying, in high school. Adolescence
was the time of transition between childhood and adulthood; it is a time for sense of identity.
(Chronological Description) For example, there were many labels used on the students by others.
(Exemplification) There was the jock, rich girl, geek, outcast, and the rebel. (Objective
Description) In the end it had also showed that perspective stereotypes do not matter. The clothing
was represented on what was worn in the eighties, in which the trend is slowly coming back into
style. The Breakfast Club best describes this era because of how the students labeled each other,
disrespected one another, and by the way they dressed. During and after the 1980 presidential
election, the Reagan Democrats provided millions of crucial votes for the Republican candidate,
Ronald Reagan.( Morning in America,16) He won 51 percent of the vote; once a Hollywood actor,
his outwardly reassuring disposition and optimistic style appealed to many Americans. (Ethos) His
campaign cast a wide net, big tax cuts and a smaller government.

Supply Side Economics Will Benefit the Economy Essay...
Supply Side economics and policies would best benefit the economy in the case of a recession next
year.
Supply side policies are made of several important points to regulate the economy. Supply side
policies consist of stimulating the economy by production, cutting taxes, and limiting government
regulations to increase incentives for businesses and individuals. Businesses then would invest
more and expand to create jobs for people who would save and spend more money. Thus, increased
investment and productivity would lead to increased output in the economy. With this increased
output the economy grows and unemployment goes down. Yet, this would not be the only policy to
bring the economy out of a recession.
A monetary policy must be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Along with moral suasion, persuasion to get consumers to buy, and open market operations, the
buying and selling of government securities in financial markets, the easy money policy can only
help supply side economics in it s route to ending a recession and gaining economic stability. All of
these policies combined, supply side, easy money policy, open market operation, and moral
persuasion, can all have an impact on important issues. Some of these issues are employment,
international trade, and inflation.
Employment may be greatly effected by a huge surge in supply that would cause businesses to
hire more workers to meet the need of this great surge in supply and production. This surge in
new employment would then put money in the pockets of consumers to buy products and create
a demand. International trade can be greatly affected by supply side policies. Businesses are
more likely to export their goods if the economy is good and they have the resources to do so.
Also businesses may import resources to produce their goods or services.
This in the long run could benefit other countries tremendously. It is even possible to cause the
same effects of the supply side policies in the US to occur in the other countries, like an increase in
employment. Unfortunately, there are limitations on supply side policies. In the case of the Laffer
Curve for the years 1981 through 1989, total tax collections when adjusted for inflation, actually
declined after 1981 tax

  • 2. Elliptic Curve Cryptology Used to Make Keys Elliptic Curve Cryptology What and Why of ECC? Elliptic curve cryptography (ECC) is a public key cryptography technique by making use of elliptic curve properties and their algebraic structure of over finite fields. It is one of the efficient ways of providing encryption of cryptographic keys. Elliptic curves as algebraic/geometric entities have been studied extensively for the past 150 years, and from these studies has emerged a rich and deep theory. Elliptic curve systems as applied to cryptography were first proposed in 1985 independently by Neal Koblitz from the University of Washington, and Victor Miller, who was then at IBM, Yorktown Heights.[1] These curves have allowed establishment of a new generation of asymmetric ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... We take another point Q on the curve. We compute R = P + Q. It is a graphical operation consisting of tracing a line through P and Q. This line defines a unique intersection with the EC: the point R. R is found by taking the symmetric point with respect to the x axis (see figure 2). Figure 2 Example of addition Formally: P = (x1,y1) Q = (x2,y2) R = P + Q = (x3,y3) Where, x3 = У© 2 x1 x2 y3 = У© (x1 + x3) y1 with У© = (y2 y1)/(x2 x1). If P = Q, R = P + Q is equivalent to adding a point to itself: doubling point P. Doubling The operation needs a single point and consists of finding a point 2P. We draw a tangent line to the EC at point P. This line intersects the curve in a point R. Reflecting this point across the x axis gives R: R = 2P. See figure 3. Formally: the only difference with an addition is the definition of У©. While England lamented its traditional values, it also saw the potential for a better quality of life through industrialization. Tennyson presents this paradox, between traditional acceptance of life and a progressive need for enhancement, in his poems Ulysses and The Lady of Shalott . Both of these poems express a want for self revolution while each protagonist has duties and societal expectations that are holding them back. Tennyson uses experience, gender, and identity in Ulysses and The Lady of Shalott to explore the idea of personal revolution. Ulysses wish for change is greatly fueled by his past experiences. Susan Cane wrote the article in June 2011.The article used a variety of techniques to illustrate her point such as examples, sources, and new definitions. Cain writes about shyness, introversion, social anxiety disorder, and extroversion. She compares introversion to extroversion. We need equally kinds of people in society. In my experience, people display both characteristics at the same time. The article shynessand evolutionary tactic is an interesting article because the current social judgment favors extroverts but does a disservice to introverts who also make important contributions to sociality. There is a tendency in American society today to have a bias against for anyone who is not gregarious, upbeat, part of the crowd or in the spotlight There are people who on the outside are not sociable, because these people are shy. However, there is a difference between shyness and introversion. Shy people often avoid many things because they are nervous or they criticize themselves for speaking up. Introverts, however, will not be nervous or criticize themselves. Both shyness and being introverted are acceptable traits. It only becomes a problem when a person has a social anxietydisorder that significantly interferes with a person s life. Carbon Dioxide Emissions in Australia and Climate Change Market based policies are a proven way to limit carbon pollution and channel capital and innovation into clean energy, helping to avert the catastrophic consequences of climate change EDF vice president for international climate, Nathaniel Keohan Introduction In a contemporary political setting, it is now broadly recognized that over the 20th century, the atmospheric concentrations of key greenhouse gases, particularly Carbon Dioxide have been amplified by human activity. Australia can be held accountable for around 1.5% of global greenhouse gas emissions. However, Australia is one of the largest carbon polluters per capita, sitting around 24.4 tonnes per person. Much policy discussion about climate change suggests that surplus carbon emissions are the result of failure of the market. Since the ongoing costs of environmental degradation and climate change are not internalized in pricing fossil fuel; a commonsense (and widely flavored by policy makers in the international community) economic solution is to internalize the cost of carbon emissions. Cap and trade emissions trading schemes have proven largely popular in the global policy making community, as they enable market flexibility and allow for international targets to be met. The Breakfast Club (1985) by John Hughes was the most iconic movie to sum up the eighties; a movie delving into the different stereotypes and stigma of mental illness and bullying, in high school. Adolescence was the time of transition between childhood and adulthood; it is a time for sense of identity. Businesses then would invest more and expand to create jobs for people who would save and spend more money. Thus, increased investment and productivity would lead to increased output in the economy. All of these policies combined, supply side, easy money policy, open market operation, and moral persuasion, can all have an impact on important issues. Some of these issues are employment, international trade, and inflation. Employment may be greatly effected by a huge surge in supply that would cause businesses to hire more workers to meet the need of this great surge in supply and production. This surge in new employment would then put money in the pockets of consumers to buy products and create a demand. International trade can be greatly affected by supply side policies. Businesses are more likely to export their goods if the economy is good and they have the resources to do so. Also businesses may import resources to produce their goods or services. This in the long run could benefit other countries tremendously. It is even possible to cause the same effects of the supply side policies in the US to occur in the other countries, like an increase in employment.
