WordPad is a basic text editing program used to type documents on a computer. It can be opened by clicking on Start and then All Programs and Accessories. Users type text in the typing area where the blinking cursor is located. To save a file for future use, users click the save icon and name the file in the filename text box before clicking save. Files are exited by clicking the close button in the WordPad window.
