Over the last four years, I ve gone to over thirty concerts for artists whose genres range from pop, rap,
and alternative. Since I m experienced with them, I m aware of the different price ranges and the stage
performances. After my first concert, I started working so that I could afford to have concerts as a

Adults should have around thirty to sixty minutes of physical activity four to six times a week. Two
hours and thirty minutes is the minimum a fully developed person needs to lessen the risk of having
some type of chronic disease later in life ( Information ). Physical fitness has two main classifications
performance related and health related. People have different performance related requirements in
accordance with their occupation but all people have the same health related requirements (The

In our career and even life itself, we find that we take certain habits and processes that once we did not
have. Some of these are products of the influences other people have over us while others are
discoveries from our own personal experiences and stabs in the dark. These are littered with successes
but are primarily made up of failures. When something goes wrong for us or another and it could have
been prevented by taking another course of action, we learn what not to do and what to do. Take

On one side of the glass is the harsh reality that is Paul s life, while on the other side is the fantasy that
Paul pictures himself fitting into.
The flowers in the story symbolize Paul s place in the dream. He sees himself as the final piece his
perfect life. When Paul comes arrives in the city, he spots that there are not any flowers in his room
and orders for someone to retrieve some. Paul places them in water, and then gets into a bath himself.
When he was shown to his sitting room on the eighth floor, he saw at a glance that was as it should be;
there was but one detail in his mental picture that the place did not realize, so he rang for the bell boy
and sent him down for flowers... When the flowers came, he put them hastily into water, and then
tumbled into a hot bath (544 545). Paul feels like the flowers are needed to complete the mental image
he has of his perfect life. In the room, there were no flowers, showing that Paul was not in the dream.
His getting the flowers, symbolizes that he had finally placed himself in the dream.
Towards the end of the story, Paul takes a walk in the park where he sees flowers blooming in a glass

Nathaniel Hawthorne and Washington Irving are two of the most prolific and successful writers of
their era. Hawthorne s, Young Goodman Brown is a story about a man, Goodman Brown who happens
to set out on a trip for an evil purpose. On the way he meets a man who offers him his staff, saying
that it might help him walk faster, but Goodman Brown refuses and wishes to return back to his
village for the sake of his wife, Faith. On the other hand, Irving s, The Devil and Tom Walker is about
an individual who lets his greed and selfishness take charge of him. Tom Walker, a greedy man,
attempts to make a deal with a devil. Tom seeks wealth and in return the devil asks for his soul. In
both stories, the authors express their feelings and views about staying away from indulgence and sin.

Tom Walker, they share salient similarities such as setting, symbolism, and author s purpose.
