Upon opening the universities homepage a quick glance was all that was needed to find the for tab and
then the prospective students tab on the website. After clicking on prospective students a new page
opened up with a prospective students navigational bar cascading down the left side of the page. The
choosing what to study tab was the first heading and under that was a course options at flinders link.
Clicking on this revealed a new page which had a number of ways to browse the different course
options available. There was a browse heading filled with relevant options relating to the type of
student you are as well as a Search bar and additional Explore help section. This analyst found this
section of the prospective student page to have extensive options for accessing the needed material all
shown in an easy to understand manner. One thing that could improve the page would be a course
category page where each course area e.g. law, science and IT could be accessed to quickly narrow
down the search. After minimal effort the analyst found a course and then proceeded to the easily
found how to apply section of the prospective students page. This section was nowhere near as easily
understandable as the course search page. And although this analyst was still able to successfully

The Importance Of Character Development In Great...
People are selfish creatures who generally view others in a limited, self serving manner; only forming
an opinion on another s identity in relation to their own. In the novel Great Expectations by Charles
Dickens, the protagonist Pip s character development is entirely due to the way he views those close to
him and his need for self improvement in response to these views. As Pip matures, he looks to the
world around him and more importantly to the people around him to form his desires and ambitions.
The novel illustrates the dangers of both ambition and idealism and provides a brilliant commentary
on social conformity. Although Pip does grow to place genuine value on those close to him later in
life, he reflects on his former aspirations and selfishness in his youth that caused much turmoil in his
life. Despite Pip s brother in law, Joe Gargery, beginning as a personal hero that Pip initially likens to
a sort of Hercules in strength (7), Pip later grows ashamed of him. Joe s character basically remains
unchanged throughout the novel and primarily acts as a symbol of Pip s personal growth (or lack
thereof). Joe is described as a kind and honest blacksmith with little financial success, and he
represents Pip s modest beginnings and true background which Pip wishes to leave in the past as he
begins to seek out a great fortune. Biddy, who eventually ends up marrying Joe, is also a reminder of
Pip s poor beginnings and acts as a foil to the character Estella because she

Over The Counter Medications Of Maca Root
Maca root is coming into its own with regards to a possible alternative to over the counter
medications. In the United States, maca root is a supplement as opposed to an actual medicine, so you
should research anything with maca to examine its uses, benefits and possible side effects.
Here?s your complete guide to taking maca root pills, including maca supplement dosage, how much
maca to take and any possible side effects to this superfood.
What Is Maca Root?
What precisely is maca root? Maca root comes from the Peruvian Andes Mountain region. Native
people began cultivating maca root around 2,000 years ago. Natives used maca root as a vegetable and
as a tea like drink, but also as a medicine.
As a plant, maca root is red, purple, yellow, black and cream colored. The bulb like part that stores the
food reaches to 4 to 6 inches long and 1.5 inches wide. Maca root seems to only grow in high
altitudes, and Peruvians have become experts at growing, cultivating and using this plant as a staple
food.
Although ancient Peruvians have known about this plant for some time, maca root is just now gaining
prominence as a superfood. Maca root, at least in the United States, usually comes in a powdered or
capsule form. There are several uses for this versatile plant as a supplement.
Benefits of Maca Root
Although the U.S. Food and Drug Administration does not regulate or evaluate maca root
supplements, there is some evidence that maca root is an aphrodisiac or a fertility enhancer.

Samsung versus Apple Smartphones
Compare Contrast Essay Samsung Compare and Contrast Are you a teenager? If so, then that must
mean that you possess a phone, possibly a smart phone. Within this generation, the top smartphone
manufactures are Apple and Samsung. However, Apple has had the edge for a while, but ever since the
release of the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Samsung has soared to the top. I
personally admire Samsung over Apple because I own a Samsung Galaxy S4. Teenagers who favor
Samsung over Apple are going to have to decide on either the Galaxy S4 or the Note 3. A majority of
the people believe that the Note 3 is more so than the Galaxy S4, but they have a great deal in
common. I assume that the design of the phone is the fundamental component that will draw the
consumer s attention. The Galaxy S4 s dimensions are 5.38 x 2.75 x .31 inches. The S4 materializes in
four different colors: black, white, brown, blue, red purple pink, and light pink. From a glimpse, you
will notice that it is covered in plastic, which is actually polycarbonate chassis, it incorporates a
removable rear cover, and that there is a silver trim that goes around the sides. On the front, there is a
2 megapixel front facing camera and LED notification lights. On the back, there is a 13 megapixel
camera, LED flash, and speakers. The Note 3 s dimensions are 5.95 x 2.75 x .33 inches. The Note 3 is
obviously larger than the S4, and from a glance, the Note 3 looks outwardly different. The Note 3 was

Alysun s Marriage Analysis
What is the key to a happy and successful marriage? What is the thing women desire most? According
to Geoffrey Chaucer s character, Alysun also known as the Wife of Bath, without a woman having
complete control over her marriage, the marriage will be unhappy. Being that the Wife has been
married a total of five times, she considers herself an expert on marriage. Her first four husbands were
all older than her, though she used her sexual abilities along with her sharp mind to manipulate them.
Giving them sex anytime they want in exchange for power in their marriages. In her fifth and final
marriage, she marries someone older than her, Jankyn. About this time, she has lost some of her
abilities and realizes that he isn t as easily manipulative as her previous husbands. ... Show more

This upset Jankyn so badly that he pleaded that if she were to leave, he could give her anything she
wanted. Sovereignty is what she asked for, then she continued to blackmail him, giving him an
ultimatum. Power for freedom. She told him that if he were not to give her the power and control in
their marriage then she would tell the police he abused her. Once Alysun received what she asked for
she became a better and more faithful wife to Jankyn, until he died. The wife of Bath believes and
reiterates in her story that the key to a happy marriage is giving a woman complete control and power
over their marriage. In her tale, Alyson tells the pardoner about a young knight. The knight rapes a
young maiden. Alyson at the time using the knight as an example of how misguided and lost the
knight is without guidance of a woman goes on to tell how the knight was saved by a woman. During
the trial for his rapping, the community wanted to have him beheaded until a woman offered to have
him find what it is women truly desire most. Being that he gets the question right, he will keep his
freedom. The knight was clueless until it was he came upon an ole

Summary Of The 2004 Vote
The article The 2004 Campaign: The Hispanic Vote tells me that the American Political System

power in determining their states electoral college. The role that the minorities play in the election is
what way their state of New Mexico will lean in the election because they make up about 42% of the
population, although they could set the stage for battle in many states such as, Arizona, Nevada and
Florida.
At the time of the article the Hispanics as a whole were considered undecided in who they were going

Essay On Rhegmatogenous Retinal Detachment
Rhegmatogenous retinal detachment (RRD) is a major cause of worldwide vision loss with a rate of
0.012% in the US.1 It is associated with retinal breaks, posterior vitreous detachment (PVD), and
vitreoretinal traction.2 During a PVD, the posterior vitreous cortex separates from the internal limiting
membrane of the retina. Areas of traction exist at sites of strong vitreo retinal adhesions and may lead
to a retinal tear as the vitreous pulls on the retina. RRD occurs when a tear in the retina leads to
subretinal fluid accumulation in the space between the neurosensory retina and the underlying retinal
pigment epithelium (RPE).2 Symptoms of RRD may include photopsia, floaters, and a curtain over
the vision. The greatest risk is found in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Atrophic holes caused by the atrophy of the sensory retina have a low risk for a subsequent RD.6 In
contrast, retinal tears, such as horseshoe tears, are caused by vitreous traction and have a higher risk of
a subsequent RD.6 Scleral depression is used to examine the peripheral retina that may be hard to
access with indirect ophthalmoscopy alone in order to identify all retinal breaks.1 OCT is useful in
differentiating between a macula on and macula off RRD, as well as revealing the presence of any
subretinal fluid. The prognosis for a macula off RRD is typically worse than that of a macula on RRD.
The standard of practice in a macula on RRD is to maintain baseline vision and operate within 24
hours to reduce the possibility of macular detachment.7 In a macula off RRD, the liquefied vitreous
enters the subfoveal space, leading to photoreceptor death and retinal anoxia, which may cause
permanent vision loss.7 Multiple studies have shown that surgery should be performed within a
window of 7 to 10 days to maximize visual outcome because the longer the photoreceptors are
separated from the underlying RPE, the greater the atrophy.5 Kim et. al. showed that the cumulative
mean BCVA rapidly worsened when the detachment period exceeded 6 days.8,9 This implies that
surgery after a macula off RD should be done within 7 days.9,10 Hassan et. al. showed that surgery
performed within the first 10 days of macular detachment achieved excellent

Summary Of A Private Soliloquy In Shakespeare By William...
At the end of act one, Shakespeare wrote a private soliloquy for Iago. Its purpose is for the audience to
know what he is planning, as it sets the stage for the rest of the play: the plot is based upon Iago s
plan. This creates tension and anticipation as we are waiting to see whether the plan works or not, and
what the consequences of the plan are. Throughout the soliloquy, Iago speaks in Blank Verse as
opposed to prose. Blank Verse is what was used for the important people, for example the Duke would
speak in blank verse. Iago may not be as powerful as the Duke, but to highlight his importance as he s
the main villain, Iago speaks in Blank Verse. It also highlights Iago s self importance, because Iago
feels as though he is above everyone else, Shakespeare wrote is lines in Blank Verse.
In the soliloquy, Iago reveals how he truly feels about the other characters. My fool my purse shows
that he feels as though Rodrigo is an object that belongs to him, because Shakespeare uses the
repetition of a personal possessive pronoun. This shows how Iago feels as though he s superior to
Roderigo. Iago thinks Rodrigo is below him, and this is shown when Shakespeare uses animal
imagery to describe Iago: Expend with such a snipe . A snipe is a worthless bird, which in those times
would ve been thought as below humans, once again highlighting his self important arrogance. It
shows that he feels as though Roderigo is not a human which leads to a lack of empathy on Iago s
part.

An Analysis Of Euripides Medea
The Character of Medea in Euripides
Euripides presents one of the most shocking female characters in literature, through Medea, a devotee
of the goddess Hecate, and one of the great sorceresses of the ancient world. She was the daughter of
King Aeetes of Colchis, and the granddaughter of Helios, the sun god. King Aeetes most valuable
possession was a golden ram s fleece. When Jason, the man Medea falls in love with, arrives at
Colchis seeking the Golden Fleece, Aeetes sets Jason a series of seemingly impossible tasks as the
price for obtaining it. Medea falls in love with Jason and agrees to use her magic to help him, in return
for Jason s promise to marry her. Jason fled once he obtained the Golden Fleece, taking Medea and
her younger brother, Absyrtis, with him, as King Aeetes pursued them. In order to delay the pursuit,
Medea killed her brother and cut his body into pieces, scattering the parts behind the ship. This caused
the pursuers to stop and collect Absyrtis dismembered body in order to give it proper burial, which
thus gave Jason, Medea and the Argonauts the time to escape. On Jason s safe return to his home in
Iolcus, Medea continued to use her sorcery. She restored the youth of Jason s aged father, Aeson, by
cutting his throat and filling his body with a magical potion. She tricked Pelias daughters into killing
him, but left the corpse without any youth restoring potion. After the murder of Pelias, Jason and

Pope Saint John XXIII was born as Angelo Guiseppe Roncalli on the 25th November 1881. He was
the eighth child in his family and his parents were poor sharecroppers that lived in a small Italian
town. He was ordained as a priest in 1904. Pope Pius IX, who was pope up until 1903, had made a
command that all Catholic priests were to be entirely separated from the political world. His
successor, Pope Pius X, the pope during Roncalli s ordination, took this a step further and attempted to
remove all forms of modernism from the church.

Bilbo s Quotes From The Hobbit
This is the END. I am going. I am leaving NOW. GOODBYE! (32)
This quotation occurs in the beginning of Book 1, in the middle of Chapter 1, at the end of Bilbo s
inevitable after dinner speech. Bilbo is giving a speech to his 144, or One Gross, closest family and
friends during his and Frodo s birthday party. It is Bilbo s 111th birthday and Frodo s 33rd. Together,
their age is 144, hence the 144 guests for this speech. This speech, while expected at a Birthday Party,
is Bilbo s way of escaping for another, possibly last, adventure and a way for Bilbo to play a joke on
the residents of the Shire. This quote occurs immediately before the last time that Bilbo will use the

Frodo saw the eye of Sauron in the basin and knew what it was even though he had not heard of
Sauron as an eye before. He knew that the eye was looking for him and the One Ring. After seeing
this in the basin, he noticed a ring on Lady Galadriel s hand and knew that her ring was one of the
rings given to the elves. Realizing what he had seen and what he noticed, she explained that her ring
kept them safe. It also kept the Golden Wood golden and preserved the ancient feeling in the wood.
She went on to explain that Frodo s coming meant the end of the Golden Wood. If he failed, then
Sauron would have control over Lady Galadriel s ring and thus over the Golden Wood, but if he
succeeded, then there was no grantee that her ring would work without the power of the One Ring.
Either way, her kingdom was lost. Even with this guarantee, she and her people helped Frodo and the

Eminent Domain Case Study
In the eminent domain hypothetical, my town has been outsourcing most of the manufacturing to
cheaper overseas labor markets in China and India. There has been an increased demand for revenue
for police, fire, schools, and other essential infrastructure. Because of the high unemployment rate in

economical spiral. There is a small Indian reservation on the outside of town. The state laws now

the farmers. The decision to take the land from the farmers and give to the local Indian tribe for
gambling will result in decreased unemployment rates and increased revenue. While the farmers may
suffer with a sentimental loss of their families land, they will be compensated for the cost. With
weighing the costs to the farmers against the benefits to the town and community as a whole, it is in
the best interest to exercise eminent domain. Society will benefit from the increased revenue and
decreased unemployment rates. As the unemployment rate decreases, the amount of unemployment

The Destruction Of Jerusalem And The Temple
Point #2 The destruction of Jerusalem and the temple in A.D. 70 fulfills Christ s prophecy of perilous
times.
13:
With v. 15 we come to a critical juncture in the discourse. To this point Jesus has referred to general
signs that would characterize the period preceding Israel s collapse. Here in v. 15, though, he refers to
one sign that unmistakably signals that the prophesied destruction is at hand. It would serve to alert
the people of that generation as to the proximity of Jerusalem s ruin. In response to the question,
When will these things be? Jesus now answers When you see . . . (v. 15).
Abomination of Desolation is literally, the abomination that causes desolation. In the OT, abomination
= an object of disgust, hatred, something that causes revulsion; an idolatrous offense or affront to the
true worship of God.
The Abomination of Desolation is referred to 4x in Daniel 8:13; 9:27; 11:31; 12:11. The first and
immediate reference was to the Syrian king Antiochus who ruled over Palestine in 175 65 b.c. He
called himself Theos Epiphanes ( manifest God ) but his enemies called him Epimanes ( madman; the
insane one ).
In 168 b.c. Antiochus Epiphanes slaughtered 40,000 Jews and plundered the temple. He sacrificed a
pig on the altar of burnt offering, sprinkled broth from the unclean flesh all over the holy grounds as
an act of deliberate defilement. He then erected an image of Zeus above the altar. It was a sacrilege of

Why I Want To Pursue A Fine Arts Degree In Film
Films are an insight into human imagination, and each unique film offers the audience a chance to
experience worlds that would never exist. While literature also appeals to human imagination, adding
a visual element never fails to enhance the experience for audiences to encompass the storytelling of
directors, screenwriters, cinematographers, and even film producers.
Storytelling has been apart of my life since before I can remember. I vividly remember going to a
midnight showing of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith even though I fell asleep and awoke to Anakin

The Epic of Gilgamesh Compared
(1) The black demon saw a beautiful woman and out of all the nobel women. He picked the one that
was about the be married. He kidnapped her on her wedding night. It shows that the black demon does
things impulsively. He does not care of the consequences. It shows that since he is a demon. He does
not fear the consequences of men. When he saw her he could not longer live without her. When he
kidnap her. He locked her in box showing that he does not trust the women he kidnap with other men.
It also means he wants to keep her pure. She was kidnap on her wedding night so she did not have sex
yet so the demon believed she was pure. The untainted virgin that has not been violated by men was
his and his only. When he traveled he took her out of the box and wanted to sleep beside her. It shows
when he his comfortable. He would sleep better beside her. The women was the demon s most prized
possession. It is like comparing the women to a boy s secret toy. When a boy is around someone he
would hide his secret toy from everyone. When the boy is alone he would take it and worship it. This
meaning is similar to Metamorphoses when Apollo wanted Daphne. Even though she refused him. He
impulsively try to rape her. She was turned into a tree, but he still tried to rape the tree. Another text
with the similar meaning is in the Epic of Gilgamesh. Any women Gilgamesh desired he would take

After he was caught in the moment he had to do a task. Other towns heard that Boryosus had killed the
Cerastes. Everyone thought he was a hero. Another town, 963 miles away, was under attack by a
monster and Boryosus was called to beat the monster. Boryosus knew he had to kill the monster or he
would lose everything. He agreed to come to the town and beat the monster.
The journey was brutal and heart breaking for the people. If there wasn t enough food for Boryosus he
would send some people into the night to die. If people wouldn t walk fast enough, he would send
them into the night again.
During the journey he encountered some nymphs. They challenged him to a mind game and if they
won they would get all the food they could fit in their pockets and if he won he could take a magical
elixir that could heal all injuries. The mind game was a riddle.
The riddle was, I don t have eyes but once I did see. Once I had thoughts but now I m white and
empty. What am I?
Boryosus answered,

Brand Loyalty at Whole Foods Market
Brand Loyalty At Whole Foods Market
1 Brand Loyalty
Simplified brand loyalty describes a status in which consumers determine their selves in; out of it they
become committed to a brand. Thereby they continue purchasing products or services of a specific
brand. At this point consumers rather spent more money on a product of a specific brand than buying
from multiple suppliers within the same category. Mainly brand loyalty is a result of consumer s
behavior, which is enforced through a company s measurements regarding branding. Branding is a
process that a company runs through in order to establish a new brand. The ambition here is to
strengthen a unique name and image for a product in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
All these criteria, besides the very high quality products they offer, justify the higher pricing of WFM.
However, they even offer an inexpensive private label called 356 Everyday Value . By this they even
attract customers that only have limited financial resources, such as students or generally speaking
people with lower income. Thereby Whole Foods Market manages to cover a wide spectrum of target
groups and to provide perfect conditions for brand loyalty.

Purpose Statement For Diabetes
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
According to International Diabetes Federation, approximately 592 million people worldwide would
be suffering from diabetes by 2035 and this would be a major economic burden to the society globally.
Detail knowledge of normal physiological processes at cellular and molecular level will give me a
better understanding in dealing with pathological conditions in human body. Insight of the structure
and function of organelles, chemical composition of enzymes, hormones, their interaction and
expression in structural and functional unit of life can significantly help in bringing down morbidity
and mortality associated with metabolic disorders like diabetes and various other diseases. Grown up
in a family of medical professionals, the curiosity to explore various life processes was not only
acquired but also inherent. I want to take a leap forward of what my parents and grandparents practice
and Cell and Molecular Physiology or Immunology as major will surely make me accomplish in
achieving my aim of life.

Cathedral
Cathedral There are many themes in the short story Cathedral, some of them include the Cathedral
itself and the difference between looking at something and really seeing something. Throughout the
short story you see how people have different personalities and see how fast a person can change. The
Cathedral and the audiotapes mean much more to both main characters than just an object or a
building.
In the beginning of the story the narrator is completely disgusted at the thought of a blind man being
in his house because of all the false things he s heard about people who can t see. Peoples perceptions
change rapidly once they get to know someone, and in this case when the narrator got to know Robert
the blind man, he realized that he ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This short story helps make people understand that there is always more to the world than you know
and there is always more to learn. Imagine if a complete stranger came into your life and changed all
your views on the world and had you rethink the way you ve been living your entire life. You, too,
would want to keep your eyes closed.
This theme is important because people go their entire lives looking but not really seeing. In the
beginning of the story, the blind man asks to see the wife s face, (blind peoples) sense of touch is no
keener than the average person s, but the more frequent use of touch enables them to more quickly and
efficiently analyze the things they touch (Bowles). As humans, we overlook the small things and
concentrate on the big and in doing so, we fail to realize that the little things are sometimes the hugely
important factors in life. This can also go along with not judging people right away; do not judge a
book by it s cover. Nowhere in the story does it describe how the narrator felt after the blind man drew
a Cathedral with him, but you can tell by the words he used that he had never felt more alive. He felt
like he was in an empty world and opening his eyes would only remind him of the nothingness he s
been living. The narrator says many things that makes it obvious that he is fully capable or looking but
that he does not see any solution to fixing his life. He is leading a boring life he hates with no

Wuthering Height by Emily Bronte
Are love, power and wealth essential elements in the perfect soul mate in life? These rudiments are
very critical in the novel Wuthering Heights. When looking at the portrayal of love in this novel, there
is a great distinction between the loves we show to others presently versus the love shown in the
novel. When considering Catherine and Heathcliff in the novel, they both love each other dearly, but
when it comes down to it, Catherine cannot marry Heathcliff. Why can t their love ever be? This is so
because Heathecliff has no wealth or power. Without these things, if Catherine were to marry
Heathcliff it would degrade her. So what does Catherine do? She marries Edgar Linton, a man who
has power and wealth, although she doesn t love him as much as she loves Heathcliff. The author uses
her past experiences to influence the way she writes this novel, which is why this story can compare
and contrast with the Victorian age and our modern society. All in all, love, desire and money has a
major role in the progression of the story Wuthering Heights, and when compared to today s society
there are noticeable differences in our portrayal of love.
Wealth plays a critical part in the novel Wuthering Heights. This theme applies and is associated with
almost every couple in the novel. When analyzing the couples Heathcliff, Isabella, and Catherine,
Edgar, wealth is the basis of each marriage. I ve no more business to marry Edgar Linton than I have
to be in heaven; and if the wicked man

Compare And Contrast The Poem Design And Once By The Pacific
Robert Frost, one of America s leading twentieth century poets, is best known for his use of rural life
and nature in his poems. Following this standard are two of Frost s works, Design and Once by the
Pacific. In both of these poems, the image of nature and the use of enjambment in both poems will be
seen as well as the difference in between the poems rhythm and structure. Both the poems Design and
Once by the Pacific have some image of nature in them as a way to make the reader reflect upon the
matter being addressed. In Design , nature takes the form of a spider feeding off a moth, a dimpled
spider.../holding up a moth (lines 1 2). There is also a significant amount of description on the white
heal all. Even though nature s medium changes in Once by the Pacific , the intention remains the
same. Here, Frost utilizes water, waves, clouds, and the sky, amongst several others of nature s
features. This can be seen in the following verses, The shattered water made a misty din./Great waves
looked over others coming in (lines 1 2). In both poems, the time of day is mentioned frequently. For
example, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In Once by the Pacific , the rhythm is in Iambic Pentameter. This provides the poem with a consistent
rhythm throughout. This characterizes the elements presented in the poem, such as the waves, due to
the appliance of a beat to their actions. On the other hand, Design does not have a consistent rhythm
throughout the poem as a way to characterize the spider s motions. This is because even though the
motions are continuous, they are not constant. The spider s motions can be seen as a dependent
variable which changes according to the moth s reactions. Therefore, there are parts in the poem where
some verses can be recognized as being part of an Iambic Pentameter system, but overall, the poem is
not designed to follow that rhythmic

Church as Institution and Church as Mystical Communion
Church as Institution and Church as Mystical Communion
In 1974 Dulles published Models of the Church to address questions concerning ecclesiology the
study of the church. Many people believe that they know the meaning of the church, which is a place
to become closer to God. However, there is more than what meets the eye when it comes to the
Church, since it is a very complex organization. Dulles book identifies and describes the different
functions the Church possesses which Jesus Christ founded and continues to oversee today. He
categorizes the models into five aspects: Church as institution, Church as mystical communion,
Church as sacrament, Church as herald, Church as servant, and lastly his new model Church as
community. In this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Dulles states, It picks up the biblical theme that God has fashioned for himself a people feely
communicating his spirit and his gifts (50). The Body of Christ as stated in Dulles is, the main point of
mutual union, concern and dependence of the members of the local community upon one another,
(43). The body of Christ will only function is the whole community is willing to work together to
reach a personal growth in their relationship with God. Now that we have an idea of what Church as
mystical communion consists of I will discuss the strengths and weakness of this model. The strength
of this model is that emphasizes a shared life with the community instead of shutting them off. This is
a strength because when people come together as a whole everything holds so much more meaning
and people can form a stronger bond with God, now that it is much more personal and voluntary.
Another strength is that this model improves people spirituality and prayer life now that they feel that
personal connection that they formed. A weakness of this model is that it creates unsure relationship
between the visible and invisible, since Grace allows people to get closer to God through the invisible
such as communion while the visible structure like institutionalism tries to emphasize their power over
the whole people. I have discussed what the models mean, their strength and weakness of each so now
I will note the difference and

Winston s Character Comparison With Big Brother
Winston Character Response Like all people, fictional or not, Winston is a complex and multifaceted
character. However, by viewing his choices, I can easily decide how I perceive his character. Winston
is a person I generally admire even though there are some aspects of him that I disfavor. Winston
constantly makes the decision to rebel against Big Brother in little ways. Some examples of this are
when he wrote DOWN WITH BIG BROTHER multiple times in a journal, meeting with and having a
relationship with Julia, and by involving himself with the Brotherhood. I admire the rebellious nature
of Winston because I believe it takes courage and deep thought to diverge from what your government
and society wants you to do. Being rebellious shows

The NYSE is primarily an auction market where, unlike dealer markets, most transactions are between
an actual buyer and seller. One market maker is designated for each firm, the specialist, who oversees
the market for the firm s stock. All offers to buy or sell the firm s shares at a specific price (limit
orders) are recorded by the specialist in the order book. An incoming order to buy or sell the stock at
the current price is executed either in a transaction with a floor trader, against and existing limit order,
or against the specialist s ask or bid quotes. Such an order is either filled at the best available quote the
lowest ask price in the case of a buy order and the highest bid price in the case of a sell order or at a
price inside the quotes. The specialist participates only in a small portion of the NYSE transactions,
whereas on NASDAQ a dealer has traditionally been on one side or the other of essentially every
transaction and is on both sides of all inter dealer transactions. From 1998 to 2001 specialists
participated in approximately 25 30 percent of all transactions on the NYSE about equally divided
between the buy side and the sell side. Specialist participation in transactions varies from stock to
stock, and is inversely related to a stock s trading volume (Madhavan and Sofianos, 1998).

Obesity and Fast Food Essay
In the book Fast Food Nation, Eric Schlosser writes about the fast food industry. Schlosser tells the
story of J.R. Simplot, the man behind McDonald s source for potatoes. He started his own business
right out of the eighth grade, after dropping out. He started out small but eventually became one of the
riches men in America. He owned then 160 acres of land to start off this business. He sold his potatoes
to companies at first all natural. But he soon discovered that if you dry out the food it will keep for
longer, more companies then bought from him. Then in the 1950 s he found out about freezing them,
and the method of frozen food. McDonald s started buying and selling Simplot fries. The customers

Smelled alone, that chemical provides and unmistakable sense of the food. Ethyl 2 methyl butyrate,
for example, smells just like an apple. Today s highly processed food offer a blank palette: whatever
chemicals you add to them will give them specific tastes. Adding methyl 2 peridylketone makes
something laste like popcorn. Adding ethyl 2 hydroxybutanoate makes it taste like marshmallow. The
possibilities are now almost limitless. Without affecting the appearance or nutritional value, processed
foods could even be made with aroma chemicals such as hexenal (the smell of freshly cut grass) or 3
methyl butanoic acid (the smell of body odor). (Schlosser 111 112).
Fast food today is just all chemicals, hardly any of the flavor come from the actual burger, fries, or

Natural and artificial flavors are not manufactured at the same chemical plants, places that few people

The Security Frame Essay
1. A issue defining frame can be classified as a frame for illegal immigrants, illegal aliens, illegals,
undocumented workers, undocumented immigrants, guest workers, temporary workers, amnesty, and
border security. Each frame defines a problem in its own way, but has a solution to be able to solve the
problem.
Illegal Immigrant It frames the problem as one about the illegal act of crossing the border without
papers. As a consequence, it fundamentally frames the problem as a legal one.
The Security Frame The government is held responsible to provide security for its citizens from
criminals and invaders.
Amnesty A pardoning of illegal action it implies that the fault lies with the immigrants, and it is a
righteous act for the US Government to pardon them.

The understanding of the immigration issue is to focus on the problem entirely on the immigrants and
the administrative agencies charged with overseeing immigration law. The reason is that these are the
only roles present in the Immigration Problem Frame. As a humanitarian crisis, the solution could
involve The UN or the Organization of American States. Framing this as just an immigration problem
prevents them from penetrating deeper into the issue. The current situation can also be seen as civil
rights problem. Immigrants are assimilated into the American system, but are forced to live
underground and in the shadows because of their legal status. They are denied ordinary civil rights.
The immigration problem framing overlooks their basic human dignity. In conclusion the immigration
problem frame blocks the understanding of this issue as a cheap labor issue. Framing matters and the
immigration problem will not address these concerns because they are absent from the immigration

  • 5. The Importance Of Character Development In Great... People are selfish creatures who generally view others in a limited, self serving manner; only forming an opinion on another s identity in relation to their own. In the novel Great Expectations by Charles Dickens, the protagonist Pip s character development is entirely due to the way he views those close to him and his need for self improvement in response to these views. As Pip matures, he looks to the world around him and more importantly to the people around him to form his desires and ambitions. The novel illustrates the dangers of both ambition and idealism and provides a brilliant commentary on social conformity. Although Pip does grow to place genuine value on those close to him later in life, he reflects on his former aspirations and selfishness in his youth that caused much turmoil in his life. Despite Pip s brother in law, Joe Gargery, beginning as a personal hero that Pip initially likens to a sort of Hercules in strength (7), Pip later grows ashamed of him. Joe s character basically remains unchanged throughout the novel and primarily acts as a symbol of Pip s personal growth (or lack thereof). Joe is described as a kind and honest blacksmith with little financial success, and he represents Pip s modest beginnings and true background which Pip wishes to leave in the past as he begins to seek out a great fortune. Biddy, who eventually ends up marrying Joe, is also a reminder of Pip s poor beginnings and acts as a foil to the character Estella because she ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Over The Counter Medications Of Maca Root Maca root is coming into its own with regards to a possible alternative to over the counter medications. In the United States, maca root is a supplement as opposed to an actual medicine, so you should research anything with maca to examine its uses, benefits and possible side effects. Here?s your complete guide to taking maca root pills, including maca supplement dosage, how much maca to take and any possible side effects to this superfood. What Is Maca Root? What precisely is maca root? Maca root comes from the Peruvian Andes Mountain region. Native people began cultivating maca root around 2,000 years ago. Natives used maca root as a vegetable and as a tea like drink, but also as a medicine. As a plant, maca root is red, purple, yellow, black and cream colored. The bulb like part that stores the food reaches to 4 to 6 inches long and 1.5 inches wide. Maca root seems to only grow in high altitudes, and Peruvians have become experts at growing, cultivating and using this plant as a staple food. Although ancient Peruvians have known about this plant for some time, maca root is just now gaining prominence as a superfood. Maca root, at least in the United States, usually comes in a powdered or capsule form. There are several uses for this versatile plant as a supplement. Benefits of Maca Root Although the U.S. Food and Drug Administration does not regulate or evaluate maca root supplements, there is some evidence that maca root is an aphrodisiac or a fertility enhancer. ... • 7. Samsung versus Apple Smartphones Compare Contrast Essay Samsung Compare and Contrast Are you a teenager? If so, then that must mean that you possess a phone, possibly a smart phone. Within this generation, the top smartphone manufactures are Apple and Samsung. However, Apple has had the edge for a while, but ever since the release of the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Samsung has soared to the top. I personally admire Samsung over Apple because I own a Samsung Galaxy S4. Teenagers who favor Samsung over Apple are going to have to decide on either the Galaxy S4 or the Note 3. A majority of the people believe that the Note 3 is more so than the Galaxy S4, but they have a great deal in common. I assume that the design of the phone is the fundamental component that will draw the consumer s attention. The Galaxy S4 s dimensions are 5.38 x 2.75 x .31 inches. The S4 materializes in four different colors: black, white, brown, blue, red purple pink, and light pink. From a glimpse, you will notice that it is covered in plastic, which is actually polycarbonate chassis, it incorporates a removable rear cover, and that there is a silver trim that goes around the sides. On the front, there is a 2 megapixel front facing camera and LED notification lights. On the back, there is a 13 megapixel camera, LED flash, and speakers. The Note 3 s dimensions are 5.95 x 2.75 x .33 inches. The Note 3 is obviously larger than the S4, and from a glance, the Note 3 looks outwardly different. The Note 3 was ... • 11. Essay On Rhegmatogenous Retinal Detachment Rhegmatogenous retinal detachment (RRD) is a major cause of worldwide vision loss with a rate of 0.012% in the US.1 It is associated with retinal breaks, posterior vitreous detachment (PVD), and vitreoretinal traction.2 During a PVD, the posterior vitreous cortex separates from the internal limiting membrane of the retina. Areas of traction exist at sites of strong vitreo retinal adhesions and may lead to a retinal tear as the vitreous pulls on the retina. RRD occurs when a tear in the retina leads to subretinal fluid accumulation in the space between the neurosensory retina and the underlying retinal pigment epithelium (RPE).2 Symptoms of RRD may include photopsia, floaters, and a curtain over the vision. The greatest risk is found in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Atrophic holes caused by the atrophy of the sensory retina have a low risk for a subsequent RD.6 In contrast, retinal tears, such as horseshoe tears, are caused by vitreous traction and have a higher risk of a subsequent RD.6 Scleral depression is used to examine the peripheral retina that may be hard to access with indirect ophthalmoscopy alone in order to identify all retinal breaks.1 OCT is useful in differentiating between a macula on and macula off RRD, as well as revealing the presence of any subretinal fluid. The prognosis for a macula off RRD is typically worse than that of a macula on RRD. The standard of practice in a macula on RRD is to maintain baseline vision and operate within 24 hours to reduce the possibility of macular detachment.7 In a macula off RRD, the liquefied vitreous enters the subfoveal space, leading to photoreceptor death and retinal anoxia, which may cause permanent vision loss.7 Multiple studies have shown that surgery should be performed within a window of 7 to 10 days to maximize visual outcome because the longer the photoreceptors are separated from the underlying RPE, the greater the atrophy.5 Kim et. al. showed that the cumulative mean BCVA rapidly worsened when the detachment period exceeded 6 days.8,9 This implies that surgery after a macula off RD should be done within 7 days.9,10 Hassan et. al. showed that surgery performed within the first 10 days of macular detachment achieved excellent ... • 12. Summary Of A Private Soliloquy In Shakespeare By William... At the end of act one, Shakespeare wrote a private soliloquy for Iago. Its purpose is for the audience to know what he is planning, as it sets the stage for the rest of the play: the plot is based upon Iago s plan. This creates tension and anticipation as we are waiting to see whether the plan works or not, and what the consequences of the plan are. Throughout the soliloquy, Iago speaks in Blank Verse as opposed to prose. Blank Verse is what was used for the important people, for example the Duke would speak in blank verse. Iago may not be as powerful as the Duke, but to highlight his importance as he s the main villain, Iago speaks in Blank Verse. It also highlights Iago s self importance, because Iago feels as though he is above everyone else, Shakespeare wrote is lines in Blank Verse. In the soliloquy, Iago reveals how he truly feels about the other characters. My fool my purse shows that he feels as though Rodrigo is an object that belongs to him, because Shakespeare uses the repetition of a personal possessive pronoun. This shows how Iago feels as though he s superior to Roderigo. Iago thinks Rodrigo is below him, and this is shown when Shakespeare uses animal imagery to describe Iago: Expend with such a snipe . A snipe is a worthless bird, which in those times would ve been thought as below humans, once again highlighting his self important arrogance. It shows that he feels as though Roderigo is not a human which leads to a lack of empathy on Iago s part. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 13. An Analysis Of Euripides Medea The Character of Medea in Euripides Euripides presents one of the most shocking female characters in literature, through Medea, a devotee of the goddess Hecate, and one of the great sorceresses of the ancient world. She was the daughter of King Aeetes of Colchis, and the granddaughter of Helios, the sun god. King Aeetes most valuable possession was a golden ram s fleece. When Jason, the man Medea falls in love with, arrives at Colchis seeking the Golden Fleece, Aeetes sets Jason a series of seemingly impossible tasks as the price for obtaining it. Medea falls in love with Jason and agrees to use her magic to help him, in return for Jason s promise to marry her. Jason fled once he obtained the Golden Fleece, taking Medea and her younger brother, Absyrtis, with him, as King Aeetes pursued them. In order to delay the pursuit, Medea killed her brother and cut his body into pieces, scattering the parts behind the ship. This caused the pursuers to stop and collect Absyrtis dismembered body in order to give it proper burial, which thus gave Jason, Medea and the Argonauts the time to escape. On Jason s safe return to his home in Iolcus, Medea continued to use her sorcery. She restored the youth of Jason s aged father, Aeson, by cutting his throat and filling his body with a magical potion. She tricked Pelias daughters into killing him, but left the corpse without any youth restoring potion. After the murder of Pelias, Jason and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

He was the eighth child in his family and his parents were poor sharecroppers that lived in a small Italian town. He was ordained as a priest in 1904. Pope Pius IX, who was pope up until 1903, had made a command that all Catholic priests were to be entirely separated from the political world. His successor, Pope Pius X, the pope during Roncalli s ordination, took this a step further and attempted to remove all forms of modernism from the church. When the world entered WW1 in 1914 Roncalli was drafted into the Italian army as a medic. Post war he returned home briefly but was then sent off to Bulgaria to become a missionary. He ... (32) This quotation occurs in the beginning of Book 1, in the middle of Chapter 1, at the end of Bilbo s inevitable after dinner speech. Bilbo is giving a speech to his 144, or One Gross, closest family and friends during his and Frodo s birthday party. It is Bilbo s 111th birthday and Frodo s 33rd. Together, their age is 144, hence the 144 guests for this speech. This speech, while expected at a Birthday Party, is Bilbo s way of escaping for another, possibly last, adventure and a way for Bilbo to play a joke on the residents of the Shire. After seeing this in the basin, he noticed a ring on Lady Galadriel s hand and knew that her ring was one of the rings given to the elves. Realizing what he had seen and what he noticed, she explained that her ring kept them safe. It also kept the Golden Wood golden and preserved the ancient feeling in the wood. She went on to explain that Frodo s coming meant the end of the Golden Wood. If he failed, then Sauron would have control over Lady Galadriel s ring and thus over the Golden Wood, but if he succeeded, then there was no grantee that her ring would work without the power of the One Ring. There has been an increased demand for revenue for police, fire, schools, and other essential infrastructure. While the farmers may suffer with a sentimental loss of their families land, they will be compensated for the cost. With weighing the costs to the farmers against the benefits to the town and community as a whole, it is in the best interest to exercise eminent domain. The Destruction Of Jerusalem And The Temple Point #2 The destruction of Jerusalem and the temple in A.D. 70 fulfills Christ s prophecy of perilous times. 13: With v. 15 we come to a critical juncture in the discourse. To this point Jesus has referred to general signs that would characterize the period preceding Israel s collapse. Here in v. 15, though, he refers to one sign that unmistakably signals that the prophesied destruction is at hand. It would serve to alert the people of that generation as to the proximity of Jerusalem s ruin. In response to the question, When will these things be? Jesus now answers When you see . . . (v. 15). Abomination of Desolation is literally, the abomination that causes desolation. In the OT, abomination = an object of disgust, hatred, something that causes revulsion; an idolatrous offense or affront to the true worship of God. The Abomination of Desolation is referred to 4x in Daniel 8:13; 9:27; 11:31; 12:11. The first and immediate reference was to the Syrian king Antiochus who ruled over Palestine in 175 65 b.c. He called himself Theos Epiphanes ( manifest God ) but his enemies called him Epimanes ( madman; the insane one ). In 168 b.c. Antiochus Epiphanes slaughtered 40,000 Jews and plundered the temple. • 26. Wuthering Height by Emily Bronte Are love, power and wealth essential elements in the perfect soul mate in life? These rudiments are very critical in the novel Wuthering Heights. When looking at the portrayal of love in this novel, there is a great distinction between the loves we show to others presently versus the love shown in the novel. When considering Catherine and Heathcliff in the novel, they both love each other dearly, but when it comes down to it, Catherine cannot marry Heathcliff. Why can t their love ever be? This is so because Heathecliff has no wealth or power. Without these things, if Catherine were to marry Heathcliff it would degrade her. So what does Catherine do? She marries Edgar Linton, a man who has power and wealth, although she doesn t love him as much as she loves Heathcliff. The author uses her past experiences to influence the way she writes this novel, which is why this story can compare and contrast with the Victorian age and our modern society. All in all, love, desire and money has a major role in the progression of the story Wuthering Heights, and when compared to today s society there are noticeable differences in our portrayal of love. Wealth plays a critical part in the novel Wuthering Heights. This theme applies and is associated with almost every couple in the novel. Following this standard are two of Frost s works, Design and Once by the Pacific. In both of these poems, the image of nature and the use of enjambment in both poems will be seen as well as the difference in between the poems rhythm and structure. In Design , nature takes the form of a spider feeding off a moth, a dimpled spider.../holding up a moth (lines 1 2). There is also a significant amount of description on the white heal all. Even though nature s medium changes in Once by the Pacific , the intention remains the same. Here, Frost utilizes water, waves, clouds, and the sky, amongst several others of nature s features. The Body of Christ as stated in Dulles is, the main point of mutual union, concern and dependence of the members of the local community upon one another, (43). The body of Christ will only function is the whole community is willing to work together to reach a personal growth in their relationship with God. Now that we have an idea of what Church as mystical communion consists of I will discuss the strengths and weakness of this model. The strength of this model is that emphasizes a shared life with the community instead of shutting them off. This is a strength because when people come together as a whole everything holds so much more meaning and people can form a stronger bond with God, now that it is much more personal and voluntary. Another strength is that this model improves people spirituality and prayer life now that they feel that personal connection that they formed. A weakness of this model is that it creates unsure relationship between the visible and invisible, since Grace allows people to get closer to God through the invisible such as communion while the visible structure like institutionalism tries to emphasize their power over the whole people.
