Essay On Phospholipids
Phospholipids
Phospholipids are created by two fatty acids with a phosphate group, they are classed as fats and they
are made up of lipids. The fatty acids in the phospholipid are hydrophobic and the phosphate head is
hydrophilic and it is outwards and the tail is inwards, this causes to create the cell membrane.
Triglycerides
Triglycerides contain three fatty acids and glycerol molecule, whereas phospholipids have two fatty
acids and a phosphate group. Triglycerides stop the loss of heat by insulation and they have ester
bonds.
The difference in uses of triglycerides and phospholipids
Phospholipids
The cell membrane is formed by phospholipids, the cell membrane controls what substances and gases
go in and out of the cell. When inside the water the phospholipids organize themselves into position,
the hydrophilic head is on the outside of the membrane because they can handle water, however, on
the inside of the membrane the hydrophobic tail does not like water. ... Show more content on

Colin s Foreclosure Case
Next, Colin serves as an example of identity foreclosure and the impact early maturation can have on
individuals. According to Marcia s theory of development, identity foreclosure occurs when an
individual lives a life that was chosen for them, specifically by a parent or guardian, instead of making
their own decisions. In Colin s case, this can be seen by the fact that his father forced him to start
playing basketball because he himself played basketball when he was younger. Instead of going
against his father s wishes, Colin simply accepted the fate that was laid out for him, never giving any
consideration to other possibilities for his life. Additionally, Colin also the impact early maturation can
have on adolescent males. According to research, early maturing males tend to be more outgoing,
confident, involved in sports, and well liked. As an ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Relatively speaking, an imaginary audience is one s personal belief that their peers are more interested
in and judgmental of an individual than they really are. Specifically, Hannah felt that everyone in
school would think she was weak and ask what was wrong, but in reality, the only ones who really
cared were her friends and even then, they didn t think she was weak but were rather genuinely
concerned for her well being. Finally, Hannah also serves as an example of Gilligan s thoughts about
female self esteem during adolescence. Generally speaking, Gilligan argued that female self esteem
drops drastically during adolescence and as a result, females often doubt themselves more while also
experiencing higher levels of depression and body dissatisfaction. In Hannah, this can be seen during
the beginnings of her relationship with Mitch, the popular jock, in which she is in such utter disbelief
that Mitch is even interested in her let alone likes her showing that she doubts herself as a result of her

It seems like everywhere you go you are reminded that it is that time of the year. Just a short drive
around town it is evident that flu shots are encouraged everywhere one looks. From medical personnel
to store checkouts one finds themselve bombarded with the question, Have you gotten your flu shot
yet? Anyone and everyone is a candidate for the flu vaccine according to local pharmacies. (and many
people are buying into this mantra). Millions of Americans will receive the flu vaccination without a
doctor s note or regard to any underlying conditions. The only question asked is, Can you roll up your
sleeve for me? Many blindly receive the flu vaccine without question and assume that it is effective
without factual knowledge. In the healthcare system it is a requirement to get vaccinated, unless one
wishes to be sectioned off and forced to wear a mask during work. Mandatory vaccinations have been
enacted among some employers pushing employees to receive the vaccination. This is despite their
views, concerns, or questions in regards to the safety and effectiveness of the flu vaccination. There is
much debate over whether the pros outweigh the cons in regards to inoculation. In an age where

Informational Constraints
1. Chapter eight describes three broader goals of one s audience in addition to those discussed earlier
in the textbook. One of these is security. Another is professional growth. As the textbook notes, people
want to develop and grow on the job...they want to learn more skills and assume new duties...and they
want to work for an organization that is developing and growing (Markel, 2012). 2. Constraints within
technical writing are things such as the amount of information that can be gathered for a paper, the
required length and format, the due date, etc. (Markel, 2012), that impact the writing process. These
often help a writer compose a document however they also can be a hindrance as well. An example of

A commonsense argument is one that appeals to a person s understanding and experience of how the
world works. The textbook notes, if your audience s commonsense arguments match yours, your
argument is likely to be persuasive. Often, people can act in mysterious ways, and this is an effective
way to present an argument. Like the University of Maryland s University College notes on their
website, Clear thinking requires that you state your claim and support it with concrete, specific facts.
This approach appeals to our common sense... ( Writing Arguments, 2011). 7. One type of argument is
one that argues against the writer themselves, instead of against the writer s argument. This is known
as a ad hominem argument, or an argument against the speaker (Markel, 2012) according to the
textbook. Ad hominem arguments are useful in convincing someone to do something or of a side of
something because of a characteristic they possess. These arguments are logical fallacies that are
colloquially known as mistakes in reasoning ( What is..., n.d.) that are often not mistakes that can help
writers and speakers win persuasive

Dialectical Journal For Animal Farm By George Orwell
The ending to this book was depressing. It evoked feelings of sadness, anger and indignation. Sadness
because the animals thought that they were working towards something meaningful to them, all
together. They fought hard, as a unit, to overthrow Jones and continued to work hard throughout to
better all of their conditions . As the story line progresses, you see that they are being taken advantage
of, yet still innocently believe they are working towards an improved life. The rebellion results were
not as they had hoped, as the book ends. The feeling of anger arises when the animals become aware
that there is little difference between the pigs and the people they wanted liberty from. The animals
had trusted the pigs to lead them to freedom,

The Main Goal for a Pitcher
Former Major League Baseball (MLB) pitcher Randy Johnson once said, Tiger Woods, Larry Bird,
Wayne Gretzky, as a pitcher just before a game, I would imagine they all have nervous energy. But as
you perform, the nervous energy dissipates and you start to relax and you start to do what you do best.
Being a professional baseball pitcher is like a work of art, but no easy task. It s important that you
have complete control of your emotions and mechanics to have modest success as a pitcher. There are
successful pitchers like Cy Young who still hold the record for most wins in MLB history at 511, and
guys like Nolan The Express Ryan who regularly threw pitches above 100 miles per hour. There are
also pitchers such as Justin Verlander who are completely dominant and considered to be one of the
best pitchers of our generation, and then you have your submarine pitchers like Chadwick Lee Chad
Bradford who have unorthodox way to pitch the baseball. Although these guys display different
mechanics before each pitch, they still share the basic five steps of pitching that explain the
Biomechanical Analysis of the Baseball Pitch. These five steps include: the wind up, stride, arm
cocking, arm acceleration, arm deceleration with follow through. Pitching in itself is a science and this
paper will provide a thorough biomechanical analysis of the baseball pitch following all the six steps.

Summary Of Margaret Mead s Coming Of Age In Samoa
In Coming of Age in Samoa, by Margaret Mead, she exemplifies and puts emphasis on the idea of
socialization through the view of the Samoan girl, and we also see what her sexuality is as she
becomes an adult and has to deal with marriage. Before reading the book I never knew that different
cultures like the Samoan culture viewed everything in their daily lives different than how we view it in
ours. After learning about the Samoan culture in the book, it gave me a new perspective and how to
view the world around me because the book discussed key concepts I didn t expect to be interesting.
The Samoan culture and how socialization turns into sexuality for young girls is very different
compared to our culture. In the Samoan culture sexuality in Samoan girls is seen differently than we
see it in our culture today. Margaret Mead elaborates on this idea because of how she views the
sexuality of a Samoan girl when she mentions Virginity is a legal requirement for her (Mead 69).
When Mead discusses this, it is interesting how in that culture virginity is a requirement and that is
something we don t see as a requirement in our society today. This demonstrates how the sexuality of
a Samoan girl is not the same as we see it. The way girls are seen because of their sexuality is
incomparable to girls in our society today and that s important to observe since Samoan culture is by
far very different to what we view as part of culture today. In Samoan culture, socialization is an

The Collective Bargaining And Negotiation Process
Almost everyone employed by a school district may participate in a collective bargaining unit or an
organized group of job positions represented by an association. The association then participates in a
joint decision making process, involving direct negotiations to determine wages, hours of work or
other terms and conditions of employment for all employees in that unit. The collective bargaining
process between a board of education and any association of united teachers, service personnel or
administrators can have a wide range of effects for everyone involved in that district and community,
especially the students. The regional school district being utilized for this review is that of a large
regional school district, serving about 7,000 students in grades 9 through 12, in the largest county in
the state. It is an affluent community of parents and community members from eight municipalities
who recognize the value of education and actively support the schools. Historically, teachers, parents
and administrators within the district have enjoyed a good, working relationship. As a result of this
ongoing positive relationship, the collective bargaining and negotiation processes between the four
associations in the district are relatively downplayed and quiet. Several associations negotiate
collective bargaining agreements with the regional the local teacher s education association, public
school employee association, district administrators association, and the

The Pros And Cons Of BREXIT
A vote to leave the EU would start a long and complicated process that would result in a fundamental
change in the UK s relationship with other members of the EU. There are pros and cons should
BREXIT were to follow through. At present, there s a lot of uncertainty surrounding BREXIT, what is
certain is that there will be an increase in restrictions and introduction of political borders should
BREXIT were to happen which will result in an increase in cost of trade and services. EU remains the
largest market for Britain s exports, constituting 40 45% of its exports. As such, UK s primary goal
would likely to retain access to the EU s internal market, but in all likelihood it would be difficult to
gain liberal trade terms from the EU if BREXIT

Jathon Wayne Noble Analysis
Bad to Recovery Jonathon Wayne Nobles was a well known murderer in the 80 s. He has a
background of drug abuse and mental illness. The traits had lead him to the perpetuated situation of
killing two girls and stabbing a man. That explains why he was on death row. The time spent in prison
changed his privileges and respect, actions, and whether he was proclaimed good or bad. Noble wants
others to feel sorry for him by gaining their respect. For example, in the introduction between Jon and
Richard Bethard leads to the fact that Nobles has gained the respect of others in the prison by his
conversations and interactions with others. He describes Bethard beams, saying he is one of my
biggest fans. The guard patiently waits until the exchange ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Did Nobles really change? Believing everyone is born good, circumstances change some people.
Others have a deep seeded bad side that at some point makes them snap while doing something no one
could think possible of them. One thing for sure is he made a lot of people think he had changed those
he made friends with. For example, when Dona and his pen pal Pam are strip searched and brought to
the site of the execution it shows that Pam has come all the way around the world to see the execution.
Karen Sebung accompanies me as far as the waiting area where we witnesses are searched, then Dona
and Pam are escorted to another room by a female officer. When they return a large man enters the
room and introduces himself as an officer of the prison s Internal Affair Division. (Earle 80).
Concluding that Jonathan Nobles as the choice to be good or bad, he truly shows that he is not a good
person. Two out of three people who serve time in prison never come back, and only eleven percent
come back multiple times. (slate.com) The situational rehabilitation comes into play when talking
about his change. All the manipulation of others provides evidence that he never really rehabilitated.
Jonathan Wayne Nobles was never really habilitated because of him wanting others to feel sorry for
him, actions influenced by how others treat him, and the fact of him being good or bad. All the
concepts make up the fact that Nobles never really learned anything while being imprisoned. He only
received more privileges for his wrong doing. The actions gave him more leeway to get closer to
others while making them a friend of his. He learned to adapt to the surroundings and make it work to
his advantage. With all the transformations back and forth from good too bad he never gave a true
perception to his

Essay On Bilingualism
Twenty percent of the population can be considered bilingual in the U.S today. They re over 311
different languages spoken in the United States. Living in the States, there has become a popular belief
that English is the only language that should be spoken. It s astonishing people don t apprehend they
re thousands of languages worldwide and U.S citizens are trying to be self centered around one
language, English. Therefore, this has generated tension throughout by cultural warfare. Cultural
warfare has been brought to this world created from individuality and creating own identities.
Bilingualism has created a window to connect with others around us from all over the world. Without
knowing more than one language, we would be restricted from many people and opportunities of
living an extraordinary, passionate culture.
Espada s ideas of bilingualism is expressed in several ways. Martin Espada s main idea he makes clear
to the reader is keeping loyalty to your own culture and traditions. Secondly, bilingualism can create
culture warfare between two languages. Espada argues the majority of the people want english to
become the only language and culture in the United States. But, Espada wants to keep diversity alive.

Personal Reflection Of Personal Writing
Hi Professor Savage,
You mention in your email quite a few references to my writing having some serious issues, yet in the
grading not one example was pointed out . I ask that if you believe the same applies to any part of the
draft submission that you highlight at least the one that will explain any significant point deduction.
More, importantly, I would like to know exactly where I can use improvements, plus I prefer clarity as
to where and/or why points were taken off in this class. Sometimes stylistic choice is mistaken for
poor writing or incoherent or illogical as you suggested. I have not come across any professor that has
said so much about my writing (negatively) and not offer any example. A link in this case is not
exactly the solution for all that was implied. Anyhow, my main goal is to focus on where I can fix it
myself, so please. show where, next time thanks.
You said, The essay is not intended to be a personal reflection or a guide for writers but rather an
advocacy for an idea. The journal and notes came across reflective, well, because they re preliminary
tools, the scaffold to the final, right. I understand the draft and final are 3rd POV, backed by
annotation, and my opinion as well, but not delivered as a personal narrative. The backstory was
merely to show I am speaking from some experience. We cannot advocate what we don t understand,
sure credible annotations are needed, but self publishing is a hands on approach, therefore, subjective,
too.
I m concerned about a few things, and then again, not so much knowing all these assignments leading
to the actual final submission are meant to serve us as a form of outline the chaos, ironed out. As you
must be aware brainstorming can happen at any stage. However, I do have a few comments on some
changes you suggested (thanks) and those I have in mind. You said, concisely, , and I assure you my
aim for the final, I don t worry too much at these stages, as I will rigorously edit, revise and chisel
away from the draft, and then polish for the final. Furthermore, incorporate any feedback if given and
are applicable from the workshop and your grading notes. I m not fond of MindEdge s outline
approach, but I do get the gist, while still using what

Galileo: Exploring the Universe, Encountering Resistance Galileo Galilei was an Italian Renaissance
man, who used a telescope of his own invention to collect some evidence that supported a Sun
centered model of the Solar System. Galileo Galilei was born in Pisa, Italy, on February 15, 1564, the
first of seven children of Vincenzo Galilei and Giulia Ammanati. In 1609, Galileo created a telescope,
based of a type of telescope built by Dutch eyeglass makers, and pointed it towards the sky, his
discoveries proved the Doctrine of Aristotle, an order set by the Catholic Church, wrong. After a
hundred years of deciding which theory was right, the Vatican finally sided with Galileo. Galileo ...

This proved to be a key turning point in the scientific revolution. In 1623, a friend of Galileo s,
Cardinal Maffeo Barberini, was elected as Pope Urban VIII. With the emergence of a new Pope Urban
VIII, who admired Galileo, allowed him to resume his work in astronomy. He was also allowed to
publish books as well, with the only condition that they provided an objective view and do not
advocate Copernican theory. In 1632, Galileo published the Dialogue Concerning the Two Chief
World Systems, a discussion among three people: one who supports Copernicus heliocentric theory of
the universe, one who argues against it, and one who is impartial. Though Galileo claimed Dialogues
was neutral, it was clearly not. It spiked a negative reaction from the Church, and Galileo was
summoned to Rome by the Church. During the proceedings of Inquisition, which lasted from
September 1632 to July 1633, Galileo was treated with respect and was never imprisoned. However,
in a final attempt to break him, which Galileo was threatened with torture, he finally admitted that he
had supported the Copernican theory, but privately held that his statements were correct. He was

South Carolina s Total Land Area Essay
. As of 2011, South Carolina has 13,120.5 acres of forestland. This is nearly 67% of the state s total
land area. Out of all of the forestland in South Carolina, 88% is privately owned. 63% of the privately
owned forestland is family owned. The average family owned forestland is 80 acres, and around 56%
of private forest owners live on their land. 12% of South Carolina s forestland is publicly owned, or
owned and managed by forest industries. These forest industries own nearly 137,400 acres. This
number is down 93% from where it was in 2001, and it is continuing to decline.
According to the United States Department of Agriculture, the total area of forestland in South
Carolina slightly declined between 2011 and 2014. The 2014 estimate of forestland acreage in South
Carolina was 12,974.1. This showed a decrease of about 1.12%. This seems to contradict the stats
given by the South Carolina Forestry Association in 2015, which say that South Carolina s forests
contain 25 billion cubic feet of wood, which they say is more than at any time during the last century.
The South Carolina Forestry Association also says that South Carolina s hardwood and softwood
forests are both growing more wood than is able to be harvested. The United States Department of
Agriculture shows that the number of live trees on forestland in South Carolina actually decreased by
4.1 percent from 2011 to 2014. The number of live trees decreased from 10.1 billion in 2011 to 9.7

Staffing: In a service oriented business such as Disney with very exacting customer service standards,
proper staffing is crucial to an organization #65533;s success. In spite of the importance of having a
top notch workforce, many considerations crucial to developing that effective workforce were
overlooked at Euro Disney. Staffing shortages created a negative cycle in which extra workloads on
employees resulted in increased turnover, which in turn hurt Disney #65533;s ability to retain and
develop its employees. Poor union relations caused by reactions to Disney #65533;s exacting
requirements for dress and appearance, such as a ban on facial hair and colored stockings, as well as to
Disney #65533;s high standards of customer service, further hurt their ability to attract employees.
Seeking to address the shortages created by this high turnover, Disney management accelerated its
complex training program. This put more stress on new hires, and left them even less prepared to
provide the level of service expected of Disney employees. Communication barriers in the workplace
were created by language and cultural gaps between American management and European employees.

Pinocchio; A Story For Children Pinocchio is concidered an adventurous tale for children. The original
story was first published in 1881 by Carlo Collodi in Italy . Collodi published his masterpiece as a

They personify conscience and discipline, which Pinocchio lacks at first. The Blue Fairy is
illuminated in the pictures representing her magical and mystical qualities. Jiminy Cricket is the
annoying voice of discipline always warning Pinocchio to heed his advice.
The tale takes place in an Italian village, initially in Geppetto s workshop which is full of wooden
gadgets and chiming clocks, yet he does not know what time it is. The gentle woodcarver is wishing
upon a star for the puppet to come to life and to be his son. The Blue Fairy brings the toy to life out of
compassion for Geppetto who is a good man, but is lonely and wanting someone to love. The puppet
named, Pinocchio, is not yet a human boy. He must earn the right to be real by proving that he is
brave, truthful, and unselfish (The Walt Disney Company, 1992). It is not an easy world for the
puppet. He must learn what it means to be a good person, including: going to school, working hard,
making friends and putting others needs before his own. In the end, after learning some important life
lessons, Pinocchio is transformed from the wooden puppet into the real boy Geppetto has always
wanted (The Walt Disney Company, 1992).
One important event in the story is when Pinocchio is confronted by the Blue Fairy about skipping
school to be in a puppet show. She asks him why he never went to school and he lies to her and says

which was Rome until about the 5th century AD. During the 4th century the Etruscans are steadily
losing power to the romans. Who have recently been part of the Etruscan world and have bowed down
to the Etruscan kings for quite awhile. The romans gradually extended their rule through italy. By
42BC the all of italy is administered as Roman providence. The italian renaissance began in Tuscany,
which is centered in the city of florence. Then it later spread to the south having a huge impact on
Rome. This was later largely rebuilt by the renaissance popes. In 750 BC when the Etruscans
establishes the first civilization in italy. This was the region between the Arno and the Tiber. Italy isn t
an old nation at all. In fact, it s younger than the United States. The Italian Renaissance peaked in the
late 15th century as the foreign invasions took place in the region. During all the other periods of
prehistory and history the desire of this piece of land has been shared and fought over by numerous
rival groups. When the United States was still celebrating the Civil War in 1861, that s when Italy was
born. Before the Italian peninsula consisted of the number of city states it is now, the lands were
controlled by the roman catholics. Rome was then captured and become its own capital in

Online Gambling On North American Shores
Article 4 PlayOLG gets better with age
It went down as one of the controversial rulings in Canadian history, when government proposals to
approve online gambling in Ontario were passed. While not affecting the rest of the world directly, it
would prove be a major step with regards to legalising online gambling on North American shores.
The legislation still has it detractors, as some don t like the idea of there being legal gambling
available within the home, but the records show that people are warming up to the idea. Proving to be
both beneficial to punters and the tax office, PlayOLG is finally reaping the rewards of its drawn out
development process.
The site itself was in development for quite some time by online casino standards, but has seemingly
got better as time went on. The casino features games from developers Boss Media, Bally
Technologies, and world renowned IGT, along with a small selection of titles from the Ontario Lottery
and Gaming Corporation, Canadian lottery tickets can also be purchased directly through PlayOLG
too. The reason for why the casino took so long to get up and running was because it was being
selective in the location base and what technologies would fit in with government operated gambling
standards. Since its inception players have shown their support by registering in high numbers, while
revenue figures show that the casino was worth the wait and it is only getting better with age.
Stepping away from the game selection PlayOLG has

Alejandro Inarritu s Mexican Thriller, Amores Perros Essay
Fuck, he s bleeding to death! (1:26) screams Jorge. Octavio accelerates on the gas even harder.
Octavio aggressively swerves through the congestion of cars. Octavio looks back and sees the Dodge
Ram directly behind their beater car. The man in the passenger seat of the Dodge pulls out a gun and
fires. Nervously, Octavio and Jorge duck. A school bus suddenly pulls up in front of their car.
Breaking abruptly, the bloody dog tumbles to the base of the car, and Octavio is able to flee the scene.
The Dodge is nowhere in sight. Octavio and Jorge shriek with excitement. They run a red light.
Another car suddenly appears from a corner, striking the two by surprise; and violently crashes into
the side of their car, initiating a brutal collision of destruction, flames, and blood a great deal of blood.
The striking collision opens the scene to Alejandro Inarritu s Mexican thriller, Amores Perros (2000).
This crash presents the link to three unrelated narratives that are symbolically tied together by the
chaotic lifestyle of the modern day metropolis of Mexico City. Amores Perros is an enthralling film
that captures the socio political themes regarding economic instability, social class, and gender in
contemporary Mexico City. Mexico City throughout the twentieth century was undergoing major
urbanization (Connolly). As a result, the overwhelming influx of new inhabitants brought about
economic chaos due to overpopulation, political disorder, and a distinct social class stratum

Pentheus Death In Euripides The Bacchae
sexual love, is actually the god he says he is. This is Pentheus demise. Dionysus chooses to castigate
the willful young king by driving the women of the city into a bloodthirsty turmoil, including
Pentheus own mother. In an intense and violent scene, she leads the other women in ripping him limb
from limb, too deranged to see that it is her own son being killed. However, the story that leads up to
this is full of encounters that show where Pentheus went wrong. To avoid a tragic demise according to
Euripides, one must know their own limits and be aware of the finiteness of human life, on top of
obeying the gods. Pentheus did none of these. Euripides uses The Bacchae as a receptacle to bring
wisdom to people who do not want to meet the same ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Whether you believe in God or gods, fate, karma, or even just the forces of nature, you are imprudent
to not acknowledge that there are powers in this world greater than you. If one begins to believe that
they are above the influence of these forces, they may be seduced into ignoring the reality of their own
human limitations. We are unlikely to come across a mortal embodiment of a god, yet Euripides begs
us to consider the frailty of our own mortality. It does not to do to dwell on whatever human power we
may consider important. Even Teiresias begs Pentheus to not be so certain that power is what matters
in the life of a man (lines 333 334). It does not do to swell on the now we must be wise in our thinking

The Organization Of Armies During The Period Of 1789
The organisation of armies during the period of 1789 1945 changed drastically, with the increasing
devolvement of power and the introduction of army sections, such as Napoleon s corps system. These
changes were the main factor in the outcome of wars during the period, but only where the organised
army had effective command and control in place. Well organised armies could perform tactics better;
more easily carry out strategy and use transport more effectively to gain victory. Of all of these
elements, the most important strength of a well organised army was tactics. First, organised armies are
much more successful in tactics, allowing them to win battles. The organisation of armies allowed
flexibility and speed. For example, at Austerlitz, Napoleon purposefully exposed a weak flank, and
Davout s army plugged the gap at the last minute, resulting in three times as many Austrian casualties
as French. This tactic was repeated successfully by the French multiple times, due to the devolution of
command, allowing multiple small armies to co operate while achieving separate aims. Flexibility was
also seen in WW1, with the use of creeping barrage, which combined multiple weapons in a three
stage multi division assault. This was particularly effectively used by the German army in the
Ludendorff offensive, and quite clearly depended on organisation: previous attempts (particularly by
the allies) had ended in the second wave (infantry) being killed by the first wave (artillery).

My Platoon Sergeant
I am a member of the United States Army. I am what is considered to be a non traditional solider. This
title is generally given to those who join when after the 18 21 prime years. I joined at the age of 28 in
the middle of a divorce with an 8 year old son. I had already had the pleasure of experiencing life and
full aware of whom I was as a person. Upon return to my unit from training, I immediately noticed
something wrong. Now I was fully aware of the rank structure as well as proper customs and
courtesies. But, I believed the vast major of those in positions of power never learned there is a
difference in abusing rank and demanding respect. We were also taught lead by example however
those who were leading were not showing basic respect for those below them. I tried following the
proper chain of command channel and discussing the lack of respect displayed for those ranked E1 E4.
These ranks are Private, Private 2, Private First Class, and Specialist. For months the problem
continued and became invisible to those in command. I didn t let their ignorance stop me from
opening their eyes. I continued to rise up the issue until someone finally heard me. While I had some
of their attention I called a meeting with all of the available E1 E4. In this meeting I gather all the

the command and I. This compromise included a ten day wait from training dates to receive pay,

Effect Of Birth Order On Personality
Effect of birth order on achievement motivation and personality development
INTRODUCTION
Birth order:
Birth order refers to the order a child is born in their family; first born and second born are examples.
Birth order is often believed to have a profound and lasting effect on psychological development and
achievements. (Rodgers, Cleveland, Van Den, Rowe, 2000)
Psychological birth order is defined as the way a person sees or perceives his or her position in his or
her family of origin. Alfred Adler believed that birth order was the way a child interpreted his or her
perceived positions in the family, which is the most important to him or her. (Kalkan, 2008) In 1874,
Francis Galton the youngest of nine siblings analyzed a sample of English scientists to find that first
born were over represented and find that eldest sons enjoy special treatment by their parents, allowing
them to thrive intellectually. Half a century later, Alfred Adler (1870 1937), the second of six children,
suggest that birth order influences personality. According to him, the oldest, middle and the youngest
child are due to their positions in family have different social experiences of coping which may form

Among the general public, it is widely believed that personality is strongly influenced by birth order,
but many psychologists has put forward their reservations. One modern theory of personality states
that the Big Five personality traits of Openness, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness, and
Neuroticism represent most of the important elements of personality that can be measured (John,
Srivastava,1999). Contemporary empirical research shows that birth order does not influence the Big
Five personality traits. (Rohrer, Julia, Egloff, Boris, Schmukle, Stefan,

more cost effective and have longer lasting effects than medication. I would explain that it is a form of
short term treatment (typically 9 to 12 weeks), but has long term results. I would explain that patients

safe environment so that they can learn a new way of responding. If the patient is afraid of a specific
location, because she or he was assaulted there, for instance, slowly exposing he or she to the site
while ensuring his or her safety can help his or her anxiety to diminish (Vinci, et al. 2015). With this
therapy, I would have him resist washing his hands after he has dirtied them and have him resist it for
quite a while. According to the article, Exposure and response prevention is the primary treatment for
OCD. However, this behavioral treatment can be very challenging to implement because the
compulsion that reduces a patient s anxiety may be a mental act silently repeating a number or phrase
until the distress is released, for example and thus unobservable (O Connor, K. P., Aardema, F.,
Robillard, S., Guay, S., Pélissier, M., Todorov, C., ... Doucet, P., 2006). I would use this therapy

patient recognize his or her recurrent thoughts, behaviors, or mental acts, then identifying triggers for
these compulsions. Next, the patient is gradually exposed to these triggers without being allowed to
engage in the compulsive response that typically follows (O Connor, K. P.,

The Overpaid CEO Summary
The Overpaid CEO In The Overpaid CEO Susan Homberg and Mark Schmitt bring to attention how
CEO pay in America is ridiculous in numbers as opposed to other parts of the world. Looking back, in
the nineteen hundreds CEO pay was relativity average. As businesses and companies began to expand
there was a demand for higher pay. Between 1978 2012 CEO pay increased by 875%! Many rules and
regulations were put in to place to limit the pay of a CEO, such as the Securities Exchange Act that I
will explain later on, regardless CEO pay kept getting higher and higher as many loopholes were
found. Bonuses pay a large part in the salaries of CEOS , as an effect CEOS tend to partake in risky

I agree with that idea to some extent, CEOS do carry pressure it comes with the job title. However,
they also have people that work with to eliminate this pressure to make sure everything runs smoothly.
They are called employees, these people sit behind desks for hours on end or work on the field or
behind machines and they do the major work. Also, when something does go wrong in the company
employees are the first people that are told to go home. They end up paying the price for the fraud,
high risk taking and problematic results of the CEO decision. I think that when the economy is down
or there is a crash in the market that a CEO has the right to really worry and feel pressured to do a
good job, but for the most part they feel pressured so they can ensure those millions of dollars in
bonuses find their way into their bank

A Brief Biography of E.B. White
I arise in the morning torn between a desire to improve the world and a desire to enjoy the world. This
makes it hard to plan the day. (White). Elwyn was a great and always full of humor and that came out
especially in his writings. All growing up I read a lot of his books because they were books that were
in the family for a long time and every one of my siblings read them growing up. They were books
that we passed down because they were some of the best books for kids to read when they were old
enough to understand what they were about. E.B White always had a sense of humor in his writings. It
was something that could never be copied in the same way that he would write. E.B White was born
July 11, 1899 in Mount Vernon, New York. He lived with his mother Jessie Hart and his father Samuel
Tilly White. His father was a piano manufacturer but it was never clear as to what his mother had for a
job. It could have been that she never a job considering the time period that White grew up in. He was
one of six kids having two brothers and three sisters. Although having six children would make it
pretty close to having a full time job, so I would find it pretty hard to find a job of caring for the
family. His parents named him Elwyn Brooks White, but he was not the biggest fan of it. He states
that, I never liked that Elwyn. My mother just hung it on me because she d run out of names, he told

Essay About Co-Sleeping
The Truth About Co Sleeping
When it comes to Co Sleeping there are so many people that are against it but then there is a lot of
people that actually recommend co sleeping. Co sleeping is when a parent sleeps with their newborn
child in the same bed or fall asleep on a couch or rocking chair with their newborn in their arms. Many
say that co sleeping increases the chances of SIDS if the parents smoke, consume alcohol, take
prescription medicine, are heavy sleepers or if they allow the infant to sleepy on their tummy. There
are also many that say it can decrease the chances of SIDS because a mother is more sensitive while
asleep with the baby next to them, they can feel the baby breathing pattern, every move, and if a
problem arises the mother can attend to the infant faster than the baby being in a crib in another room.
It may also all depend on the parents; how they setup a safety sleeping arrangement for the newborn in
their bed by removing extra sheets, pillows, blankets, or buying a infant portable sleeper.
A study from American Academy of pediatrics have shown that co sleeping can increase the chance of
sudden infant death syndrome. The study was based off a child death report database, they divided the
database on age, sleep position, and location. Their results came back that from 2002 2012 sixty nine

they want to bed share; if they do decide they want to they must just make sure they don t have extra

saying that you have to sleep with your child in the same bed but I believe as a mother of three it is
safer to have a newborn in the same bed as you, even if it is in a portable infant sleeper, if you avoid
all the things that may increase the chances of

Advantages Of Collaborative Differing In Movies
rated a movie that belongs to the comedy genre, then the system can learn to recommend other movies
from this genre. Collaborative filtering: The simplest and original implementation of this approach
recommends to the active user the items that other users with similar tastes liked in the past. The
similarity in taste of two users is calculated based on the similarity in the rating history of the users.
This is the reason why collaborative filtering is often referred as people to people correlation.
Collaborative filtering is considered to be the most popular and widely implemented technique in
Recommendation systems. An item item approach models the preference of a user to an item based on
ratings of similar items by the same user. Nearest neighbors methods enjoy considerable popularity
due to their simplicity, efficiency, and their ability to produce accurate and personalized

Edgar Degas And Western Realism In Hokusai s Impressionism
Edgar Degas appears to have never accommodated himself to the name of impressionist, wanting to
call himself a realist, independent, or free. Like the impressionists, he looked to catch transient
minutes in the stream of present day life, yet he demonstrated little enthusiasm for painting plein air
scenes, favoring scenes in theaters and bistros lit up by fake light, which he used to illuminate the
forms of his figures, complying to his training. Degas s choice of subject matter mirrors his modern
cutting edge approach. He best liked scenes of ballet dancers. His concentration to ballet dancers
increased strongly in the late 1800s, and eventually he composed nearly 2,000 works on the area. They
address the way the human body moves, investigating the physicality and train of the ballet dancers
using distorted stances and abrupt vantage points. Without the Japanese printmaker Hokusai,
Impressionism may never have happened. He is a father figure of Western Modernism. In Japan,
Hokusai was viewed as crude, underneath the thought of the magnificent literati. In the West, his
outline of space with color and line, as opposed to by means of one point perspective, would have a
revolutionary effect. Most artist were influenced by his landscapes but Degas, he was influenced by
Hokusai s rendering of human forms. You can truly see how he was influence by Hokusai in his
bathers artwork. Degas was uncommonly interested in women s private, rather than public,
appearances. Degas

Describe how the health issue affects the body s ability to function properly. The health issue that I
researched was type 2 diabetes. Type 2 diabetes is the most common form of diabetes and is a disease
that causes blood glucose levels to rise higher than normal, which is also referred to as hyperglycemia,
according to www.diabetes.org. According to www.webmd.com , Type 2 diabetes tends to develop
later on in adulthood compared to type 1 diabetes that is often seen in young people who have
diabetes. As mentioned earlier, type 2 diabetes causes abnormally high levels of glucose in the blood.
With higher levels of glucose/sugar in the blood, capillaries can be damaged, which can cause various
problems such as blindness, and nerve loss, which can become so extreme in extremities such as the
foot, that parts of the foot or the whole foot may have to be amputated. Type 2 diabetes and
cardiovascular problem are directly related as chest pains, strokes, heart attacks and high blood
pressure are all associated with type 2 diabetes. Www.mayoclinics.org states that though no exact link

  • 2. Essay On Phospholipids Phospholipids Phospholipids are created by two fatty acids with a phosphate group, they are classed as fats and they are made up of lipids. The fatty acids in the phospholipid are hydrophobic and the phosphate head is hydrophilic and it is outwards and the tail is inwards, this causes to create the cell membrane. Triglycerides Triglycerides contain three fatty acids and glycerol molecule, whereas phospholipids have two fatty acids and a phosphate group. Triglycerides stop the loss of heat by insulation and they have ester bonds. The difference in uses of triglycerides and phospholipids Phospholipids The cell membrane is formed by phospholipids, the cell membrane controls what substances and gases go in and out of the cell. When inside the water the phospholipids organize themselves into position, the hydrophilic head is on the outside of the membrane because they can handle water, however, on the inside of the membrane the hydrophobic tail does not like water. ... • 3. Colin s Foreclosure Case Next, Colin serves as an example of identity foreclosure and the impact early maturation can have on individuals. According to Marcia s theory of development, identity foreclosure occurs when an individual lives a life that was chosen for them, specifically by a parent or guardian, instead of making their own decisions. In Colin s case, this can be seen by the fact that his father forced him to start playing basketball because he himself played basketball when he was younger. Instead of going against his father s wishes, Colin simply accepted the fate that was laid out for him, never giving any consideration to other possibilities for his life. Additionally, Colin also the impact early maturation can have on adolescent males. According to research, early maturing males tend to be more outgoing, confident, involved in sports, and well liked. Relatively speaking, an imaginary audience is one s personal belief that their peers are more interested in and judgmental of an individual than they really are. Specifically, Hannah felt that everyone in school would think she was weak and ask what was wrong, but in reality, the only ones who really cared were her friends and even then, they didn t think she was weak but were rather genuinely concerned for her well being. Finally, Hannah also serves as an example of Gilligan s thoughts about female self esteem during adolescence. Generally speaking, Gilligan argued that female self esteem drops drastically during adolescence and as a result, females often doubt themselves more while also experiencing higher levels of depression and body dissatisfaction. In Hannah, this can be seen during the beginnings of her relationship with Mitch, the popular jock, in which she is in such utter disbelief that Mitch is even interested in her let alone likes her showing that she doubts herself as a result of her low ... • 4. Effectiveness Of The Influenza Vaccine Effectiveness of the Influenza Vaccine Blake Olson and Eric Nietzel Leone October 16, 2014 EBP Paper Draft #1 A Paper Presented to Meet Partial Requirements For NRSG 497 Research Methods in Nursing Southern Adventist University School of Nursing It seems like everywhere you go you are reminded that it is that time of the year. Just a short drive around town it is evident that flu shots are encouraged everywhere one looks. From medical personnel to store checkouts one finds themselve bombarded with the question, Have you gotten your flu shot yet? Anyone and everyone is a candidate for the flu vaccine according to local pharmacies. (and many people are buying into this mantra). Millions of Americans will receive the flu vaccination without a doctor s note or regard to any underlying conditions. The only question asked is, Can you roll up your sleeve for me? Many blindly receive the flu vaccine without question and assume that it is effective without factual knowledge. In the healthcare system it is a requirement to get vaccinated, unless one wishes to be sectioned off and forced to wear a mask during work. Mandatory vaccinations have been enacted among some employers pushing employees to receive the vaccination. This is despite their views, concerns, or questions in regards to the safety and effectiveness of the flu vaccination. There is much debate over whether the pros outweigh the cons in regards to inoculation. In an age where ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Informational Constraints 1. Chapter eight describes three broader goals of one s audience in addition to those discussed earlier in the textbook. One of these is security. Another is professional growth. As the textbook notes, people want to develop and grow on the job...they want to learn more skills and assume new duties...and they want to work for an organization that is developing and growing (Markel, 2012). 2. Constraints within technical writing are things such as the amount of information that can be gathered for a paper, the required length and format, the due date, etc. (Markel, 2012), that impact the writing process. These often help a writer compose a document however they also can be a hindrance as well. An example of an informational constraint ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A commonsense argument is one that appeals to a person s understanding and experience of how the world works. The textbook notes, if your audience s commonsense arguments match yours, your argument is likely to be persuasive. Often, people can act in mysterious ways, and this is an effective way to present an argument. Like the University of Maryland s University College notes on their website, Clear thinking requires that you state your claim and support it with concrete, specific facts. This approach appeals to our common sense... ( Writing Arguments, 2011). 7. One type of argument is one that argues against the writer themselves, instead of against the writer s argument. This is known as a ad hominem argument, or an argument against the speaker (Markel, 2012) according to the textbook. Ad hominem arguments are useful in convincing someone to do something or of a side of something because of a characteristic they possess. These arguments are logical fallacies that are colloquially known as mistakes in reasoning ( What is..., n.d.) that are often not mistakes that can help writers and speakers win persuasive ... • 6. Dialectical Journal For Animal Farm By George Orwell The ending to this book was depressing. It evoked feelings of sadness, anger and indignation. Sadness because the animals thought that they were working towards something meaningful to them, all together. They fought hard, as a unit, to overthrow Jones and continued to work hard throughout to better all of their conditions . As the story line progresses, you see that they are being taken advantage of, yet still innocently believe they are working towards an improved life. The rebellion results were not as they had hoped, as the book ends. The feeling of anger arises when the animals become aware that there is little difference between the pigs and the people they wanted liberty from. The Main Goal for a Pitcher Former Major League Baseball (MLB) pitcher Randy Johnson once said, Tiger Woods, Larry Bird, Wayne Gretzky, as a pitcher just before a game, I would imagine they all have nervous energy. But as you perform, the nervous energy dissipates and you start to relax and you start to do what you do best. Being a professional baseball pitcher is like a work of art, but no easy task. It s important that you have complete control of your emotions and mechanics to have modest success as a pitcher. There are successful pitchers like Cy Young who still hold the record for most wins in MLB history at 511, and guys like Nolan The Express Ryan who regularly threw pitches above 100 miles per hour. There are also pitchers such as Justin Verlander who are completely dominant and considered to be one of the best pitchers of our generation, and then you have your submarine pitchers like Chadwick Lee Chad Bradford who have unorthodox way to pitch the baseball. Although these guys display different mechanics before each pitch, they still share the basic five steps of pitching that explain the Biomechanical Analysis of the Baseball Pitch. These five steps include: the wind up, stride, arm cocking, arm acceleration, arm deceleration with follow through. Pitching in itself is a science and this paper will provide a thorough biomechanical analysis of the baseball pitch following all the six steps. • 9. Summary Of Margaret Mead s Coming Of Age In Samoa In Coming of Age in Samoa, by Margaret Mead, she exemplifies and puts emphasis on the idea of socialization through the view of the Samoan girl, and we also see what her sexuality is as she becomes an adult and has to deal with marriage. Before reading the book I never knew that different cultures like the Samoan culture viewed everything in their daily lives different than how we view it in ours. After learning about the Samoan culture in the book, it gave me a new perspective and how to view the world around me because the book discussed key concepts I didn t expect to be interesting. The Samoan culture and how socialization turns into sexuality for young girls is very different compared to our culture. In the Samoan culture sexuality in Samoan girls is seen differently than we see it in our culture today. Margaret Mead elaborates on this idea because of how she views the sexuality of a Samoan girl when she mentions Virginity is a legal requirement for her (Mead 69). When Mead discusses this, it is interesting how in that culture virginity is a requirement and that is something we don t see as a requirement in our society today. This demonstrates how the sexuality of a Samoan girl is not the same as we see it. The way girls are seen because of their sexuality is incomparable to girls in our society today and that s important to observe since Samoan culture is by far very different to what we view as part of culture today. In Samoan culture, socialization is an ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 10. The Collective Bargaining And Negotiation Process Almost everyone employed by a school district may participate in a collective bargaining unit or an organized group of job positions represented by an association. The association then participates in a joint decision making process, involving direct negotiations to determine wages, hours of work or other terms and conditions of employment for all employees in that unit. The collective bargaining process between a board of education and any association of united teachers, service personnel or administrators can have a wide range of effects for everyone involved in that district and community, especially the students. The regional school district being utilized for this review is that of a large regional school district, serving about 7,000 students in grades 9 through 12, in the largest county in the state. It is an affluent community of parents and community members from eight municipalities who recognize the value of education and actively support the schools. Historically, teachers, parents and administrators within the district have enjoyed a good, working relationship. As a result of this ongoing positive relationship, the collective bargaining and negotiation processes between the four associations in the district are relatively downplayed and quiet. Several associations negotiate collective bargaining agreements with the regional the local teacher s education association, public school employee association, district administrators association, and the ... There are pros and cons should BREXIT were to follow through. At present, there s a lot of uncertainty surrounding BREXIT, what is certain is that there will be an increase in restrictions and introduction of political borders should BREXIT were to happen which will result in an increase in cost of trade and services. EU remains the largest market for Britain s exports, constituting 40 45% of its exports. The traits had lead him to the perpetuated situation of killing two girls and stabbing a man. That explains why he was on death row. The time spent in prison changed his privileges and respect, actions, and whether he was proclaimed good or bad. Noble wants others to feel sorry for him by gaining their respect. For example, in the introduction between Jon and Richard Bethard leads to the fact that Nobles has gained the respect of others in the prison by his conversations and interactions with others. Believing everyone is born good, circumstances change some people. Others have a deep seeded bad side that at some point makes them snap while doing something no one could think possible of them. One thing for sure is he made a lot of people think he had changed those he made friends with. For example, when Dona and his pen pal Pam are strip searched and brought to the site of the execution it shows that Pam has come all the way around the world to see the execution. Karen Sebung accompanies me as far as the waiting area where we witnesses are searched, then Dona and Pam are escorted to another room by a female officer. When they return a large man enters the room and introduces himself as an officer of the prison s Internal Affair Division. (Earle 80). Concluding that Jonathan Nobles as the choice to be good or bad, he truly shows that he is not a good person. Two out of three people who serve time in prison never come back, and only eleven percent come back multiple times. (slate.com) The situational rehabilitation comes into play when talking about his change. All the manipulation of others provides evidence that he never really rehabilitated. Jonathan Wayne Nobles was never really habilitated because of him wanting others to feel sorry for him, actions influenced by how others treat him, and the fact of him being good or bad. All the concepts make up the fact that Nobles never really learned anything while being imprisoned. He only received more privileges for his wrong doing. The actions gave him more leeway to get closer to others while making them a friend of his. He learned to adapt to the surroundings and make it work to his advantage. With all the transformations back and forth from good too bad he never gave a true perception to his ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It s astonishing people don t apprehend they re thousands of languages worldwide and U.S citizens are trying to be self centered around one language, English. • 16. Personal Reflection Of Personal Writing Hi Professor Savage, You mention in your email quite a few references to my writing having some serious issues, yet in the grading not one example was pointed out . I ask that if you believe the same applies to any part of the draft submission that you highlight at least the one that will explain any significant point deduction. More, importantly, I would like to know exactly where I can use improvements, plus I prefer clarity as to where and/or why points were taken off in this class. Sometimes stylistic choice is mistaken for poor writing or incoherent or illogical as you suggested. I have not come across any professor that has said so much about my writing (negatively) and not offer any example. A link in this case is not exactly the solution for all that was implied. Anyhow, my main goal is to focus on where I can fix it myself, so please. show where, next time thanks. You said, The essay is not intended to be a personal reflection or a guide for writers but rather an advocacy for an idea. The journal and notes came across reflective, well, because they re preliminary tools, the scaffold to the final, right. I understand the draft and final are 3rd POV, backed by annotation, and my opinion as well, but not delivered as a personal narrative. The backstory was merely to show I am speaking from some experience. We cannot advocate what we don t understand, sure credible annotations are needed, but self publishing is a hands on approach, therefore, subjective, too. I m concerned about a few things, and then again, not so much knowing all these assignments leading to the actual final submission are meant to serve us as a form of outline the chaos, ironed out. As you must be aware brainstorming can happen at any stage. However, I do have a few comments on some changes you suggested (thanks) and those I have in mind. You said, concisely, , and I assure you my aim for the final, I don t worry too much at these stages, as I will rigorously edit, revise and chisel away from the draft, and then polish for the final. Furthermore, incorporate any feedback if given and are applicable from the workshop and your grading notes. In 1609, Galileo created a telescope, based of a type of telescope built by Dutch eyeglass makers, and pointed it towards the sky, his discoveries proved the Doctrine of Aristotle, an order set by the Catholic Church, wrong. Out of all of the forestland in South Carolina, 88% is privately owned. 63% of the privately owned forestland is family owned. The Organization Of Armies During The Period Of 1789 The organisation of armies during the period of 1789 1945 changed drastically, with the increasing devolvement of power and the introduction of army sections, such as Napoleon s corps system. These changes were the main factor in the outcome of wars during the period, but only where the organised army had effective command and control in place. Well organised armies could perform tactics better; more easily carry out strategy and use transport more effectively to gain victory. Of all of these elements, the most important strength of a well organised army was tactics. First, organised armies are much more successful in tactics, allowing them to win battles. The organisation of armies allowed flexibility and speed. For example, at Austerlitz, Napoleon purposefully exposed a weak flank, and Davout s army plugged the gap at the last minute, resulting in three times as many Austrian casualties as French. This tactic was repeated successfully by the French multiple times, due to the devolution of command, allowing multiple small armies to co operate while achieving separate aims. Flexibility was also seen in WW1, with the use of creeping barrage, which combined multiple weapons in a three stage multi division assault. This was particularly effectively used by the German army in the Ludendorff offensive, and quite clearly depended on organisation: previous attempts (particularly by the allies) had ended in the second wave (infantry) being killed by the first wave (artillery). ... • 27. Effect Of Birth Order On Personality Effect of birth order on achievement motivation and personality development INTRODUCTION Birth order: Birth order refers to the order a child is born in their family; first born and second born are examples. Birth order is often believed to have a profound and lasting effect on psychological development and achievements. (Rodgers, Cleveland, Van Den, Rowe, 2000) Psychological birth order is defined as the way a person sees or perceives his or her position in his or her family of origin. Alfred Adler believed that birth order was the way a child interpreted his or her perceived positions in the family, which is the most important to him or her. (Kalkan, 2008) In 1874, Francis Galton the youngest of nine siblings analyzed a sample of English scientists to find that first born were over represented and find that eldest sons enjoy special treatment by their parents, allowing them to thrive intellectually. It can be used not only by developers, but also by page designers, who can now play a more direct role in the development life cycle. Another advantage of JSP is the inherent separation of presentation from content facilitated by the technology, due its reliance upon reusable component technologies like the JavaBeans component architecture and Enterprise JavaBeans technology. The purpose of JSP is to provide a declarative, presentation centric method of developing servlets. Typically, JSP pages are subject to a translation phase and a request processing phase. The translation phase is carried out only once, unless the JSP page changes, in which case it is repeated. • 34. Edgar Degas And Western Realism In Hokusai s Impressionism Edgar Degas appears to have never accommodated himself to the name of impressionist, wanting to call himself a realist, independent, or free. Like the impressionists, he looked to catch transient minutes in the stream of present day life, yet he demonstrated little enthusiasm for painting plein air scenes, favoring scenes in theaters and bistros lit up by fake light, which he used to illuminate the forms of his figures, complying to his training. Degas s choice of subject matter mirrors his modern cutting edge approach. He best liked scenes of ballet dancers. His concentration to ballet dancers increased strongly in the late 1800s, and eventually he composed nearly 2,000 works on the area. They address the way the human body moves, investigating the physicality and train of the ballet dancers using distorted stances and abrupt vantage points. Without the Japanese printmaker Hokusai, Impressionism may never have happened. He is a father figure of Western Modernism. In Japan, Hokusai was viewed as crude, underneath the thought of the magnificent literati. In the West, his outline of space with color and line, as opposed to by means of one point perspective, would have a revolutionary effect. Most artist were influenced by his landscapes but Degas, he was influenced by Hokusai s rendering of human forms. You can truly see how he was influence by Hokusai in his bathers artwork. Degas was uncommonly interested in women s private, rather than public, appearances. Degas ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In addition to bringing a hard copy to discussion, upload an electronic copy to the ICON drop box by your discussion session time. 1. Introduction. Describe the health issue. Describe how the health issue affects the body s ability to function properly. The health issue that I researched was type 2 diabetes. Type 2 diabetes is the most common form of diabetes and is a disease that causes blood glucose levels to rise higher than normal, which is also referred to as hyperglycemia, according to www.diabetes.org. According to www.webmd.com , Type 2 diabetes tends to develop later on in adulthood compared to type 1 diabetes that is often seen in young people who have diabetes. As mentioned earlier, type 2 diabetes causes abnormally high levels of glucose in the blood. With higher levels of glucose/sugar in the blood, capillaries can be damaged, which can cause various problems such as blindness, and nerve loss, which can become so extreme in extremities such as the foot, that parts of the foot or the whole foot may have to be amputated. Type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular problem are directly related as chest pains, strokes, heart attacks and high blood pressure are all associated with type 2 diabetes.
