To Be Thankful For Many Things
Always be thankful for what you have. I came up with this quote. I am thankful for
many things. These make up part of my everyday life. I am thankful for three main
earthly possessions. Those three are my house, my speaker, and my drumset. It is
really cool to own these things. I am thankful for many things. One of those is my
house. I like my house because that s where I live. I wake up there and that s where I
go after school. I also like to decorate the house on holidays. I help out with the
Halloween decorations. I also help with getting the decorations out of the attic. I also
like my house because my friends live near it. I go to their houses a lot because they
live down the street. Overall, these are many ways to show that I m thankful for my

Second, it s a very clean sound with no distortion. I also got it because it s a useful tool
when I m practicing along to the track. It helps me hear the song I m playing. It also
helps when I m warming up with a metronome. Lastly, it s really fun to play music
through it. I really like music, only if it s good music. Also, when I m playing music,
the speaker can get real loud. These are many ways why I am thankful for my speaker
Zoning
Simply put, zoning, in a planning or land use context, is the classification of the land in a
community into districts with different regulations for its utilization. Zoning and other
methods of land use control have evolved with the primary objectives of promoting the
health, safety, and wellbeing of residents while minimizing the negative impacts of one
activity or use upon others. Zoningis effectively a legislative process whereby a
community prioritizes values associated with land, development, and associated
activities. A zoning system generally includes map or plan elements which define areas
where like regulations apply, and a textual, usually relatively locally legislated ordinance,
code, or law consisting of definitions and... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The final general type of zoning regulation limits the physical and spatial form of
development. Examples of this type include restrictions on building heights, setbacks,
road widths, building materials, and architectural style.
In the first third of the 20th century, the United States saw zoning become an accepted
tool in land use regulation. New York City passed a zoning plan in 1916. This set of
rules primarily focused on building form and setbacks, and included a now routine
provision for variances. The New York law was primarily a response to a technological
innovation the skyscraper and the arising concerns associated with it.
Many States adopted the Standard State Zoning Enabling Acts of 1922, which was
offered as a model by the U.S. Department of Commerce and provided a framework and
codified a general legal basis for zoning across the country. The Department of Commerce
also introduced a Standard City Planning Enabling Act, which was widely adopted
beginning in 1928. These acts put into place the general structure of local and regional
planning and zoning which is still used today. Elements and entities such as the Planning
Commission, the Master Plan, subdivision control measures, and provision for regional
planning bodies and plans were primarily introduced by the Standard City Planning
Enabling Act.

Executive Branch Of Government Power
For years, America has been considered a country of freedom and liberty. The founding
fathers intended this country to be established under good intentions. As stated in the
Preamble of the U.S. Constitution, We the People of the United States, in order to form a
more perfect Union... Many Americans may stumble upon the question, Are we a more
perfect Union? .
I believe that the general structure of a country plays a significant role in the overall
adequacy. The United StatesGovernment runs under a system called checks and
balances. This is the coordination between the three branches of government executive,
legislative, and judicial. So far, it has proved to be an efficient way to organize and
regulate each position.
Separation of power allows each branch of government to do its role while rectifying
and improving each other branch in the process. This is in order that each branch has
equal power and there is no branch with more or less power than another. The executive
branch consists of the President and various departments and agencies. This branch is
responsible for enforcing laws. The legislative branch is made up of the House and
Senate. Among other things, the legislative branch makes laws, declares war, regulates
interstate and foreign commerce and controls taxing and spending policies. The Judicial

This means that power is divided between a national government and state governments.
Powers of the national government include printing money, regulating interstate and
foreign trade, declaring war, and coining and printing money. Powers given to state
governments include establishing local governments, regulating intrastate businesses,
and marriage laws. Some powers are shared between both state and national governments.
These powers include collecting taxes, establishing courts and to charter banks. A stable
government is not the only thing needed for the country to function
Santa Claus Symbols
Did you know that there are different holiday characters around the world? When you
think of the holidays who do you think of? Is it Santa or Krampus or one of the others?
Well there are actually a ton of holiday icons that you may have never heard of. These
characters come from a multitude of places and countries. These figures are also all
related to the christmasseason. There are many different icons that are celebrated around
the world and represent different holidays.
Santa Claus is one of the most well known characters. Santa Claus became more
popular when Clement C. Moore wrote a story called A visit from St. Nicholas . He
wrote a book about what Santa looked like and what he did. One tradition is people
will go to a public place and sit on Santa s lap. Many places have a person dressed like
Santa where kids can go up and sit on their lap and tell them what they want for
Christmas. Another tradition is people put up a Christmas tree so Santa can put
presents under it. People put up pine trees with lights and ornaments on it and on
Christmas Eve if you were good Santa puts gifts under it. The last tradition is Santa
comes every year on Christmas Eve night and delivers presents to kids. If you were good
Santa will fill your stockings and put gifts under your tree but if you were bad you get a
lump of coal. This is why Santa Claus is a big hit across America.
La Befana is a holiday icon who delivers gifts to kids in Italy. La Befana delivers gifts to

Essay about Finding Strength in Poverty in There Are No...
There are No Children Here Finding Strength in Poverty
Being privileged is something that I didn t understand until I read There are No
Children Here, by Alex Kotlowitz. The truth is that I knew I had it better than others, but
the absolute difference was not truly recognized until I met the boys Lafayette, and
Pharaoh. These boys were presented to me by Kotlowitz, via his book, and the evident
pain and sorrow that these young men went through on a daily basis was more than most
privileged people experience in an entire lifetime. That is what being privileged is.
When I started reading this book, I thought that is was going to be another poor me

The grass was green, the flowers were all around, and the hallways seemed to go on
forever. Their family was the first to move into the homes, and at that time, they were
proud of that. Here they were, in a nice, affordable place where they could raise their
children in a descent environment, around other people. As more families moved in,
they relied on each other, and would gather in the court yard to talk and enjoy each
others company. The times sure changed though. The Chicago Housing Authority
started neglecting the Homes. Grass would go months without mowing, the
appliances would deteriorate without replacement, and the plumbing was left to self
destruct. When the CHA didn t control the Homes, and the police wouldn t enforce the
laws, crime soon ran free to torture the inhabitants of the once grand Henry Horner
Homes. The people of Henry Horner, especially the good people, longed for a place
that they could sit up at night on a porch without fear. They had a dream of a place
without the violence, but many of the people here became so conditioned to think that
this is the way it was supposed to be, that a thought of getting out was a fleeting one.
Pharaoh, the youngest of the two boys, was a daydreamer in the beginning of the book.
The child had his head in the clouds, and often times dreamt of a place that offered

Another reason is I bought the stock that my friend also bought as well as bought and
sold in the wrong time. My biggest trade that I was successful is at November 07,
2014. At 10:32 am, I sold 35 shares of GDP and got $272,60. That was my first time I
got the interest. The first reason I think of is lucky and I choose the right time to sell
them. The day before, when I bought 40 shares of GDP, their prices were lower than
the price at the day I sold them. As the time I bought them, I did predict they would go
up the next day. I waited for the price I believed high enough to get the interest.
Another biggest unsuccessful trade was in December 5, 2014. I only bought 5 shares
of the ANF, but I lost so much money. ANF at that time seemed like never go up, it
kept going down. I have wrong prediction on ANF. When I bought ASK and GDP, I
looked at their prices first, and they are cheap. With ASK, the time I bought its shares,
I bought them with my friend because I think they can watch ASK for me while I did
not have time. But it kept going down. GDP, I bought it when I first saw its graph, it
went up and down frequently, and I want my money back, so I decided to buy it. At
the end, GDP made me so happy. The last stock I bought ANF, it was really terrible, I

Nucor s History
Nucor Corporation is the second largest steel producer in the United States and has
had net sales of $4.6 billion in 2000. Nucor recycles approximately 10 million tons of
scrap steel. It operates in 9 states and produces carbon and alloy steel in bars, beams,
sheet, and plate; steel joists and joist girders; steel deck; cold finished steel; steel
fasteners; metal building systems; and light gauge steel framing. The company emerged
from near Bankruptcy in 1966 to become one of the fastest growing steel. Despite the
recession in 1991, Nucor grew into one of the biggest and best known global producers
of steel.

Analysis and evaluation
Dominant Economic Characteristics of the Steel Industry Environment
The steel industry worldwide has a huge excess capacity, forcing many companies to
operate in red. An unprecedented number of steel producers have filed for bankruptcy.
Among them are Bethlehem Steel Corporation and LTV, who were the country s third
and fourth largest steel producers respectively. With a lot of world s economies in
recession in late nineties, there was a surge in the import of steel. With unfair subsidies
from their governments, foreign steel producers were dumping steel in the U.S. market at
cut rate prices. In 1999, the United States had decided not to impose any import
restrictions.
With 75% capacity utilization, a level too low for many companies, three European
companies decided to merge to form the world s largest steel producer. Two Japanese
companies did the same to form the second largest steel producer. These new mega
steelmakers could easily outmuscle their U.S. competitors. The largest steel producer in
the US, USX U.S. Steel group was already at number 11, with a threat of falling
The Impact Of Fitspiration Images On College Women s
Body...
It is undeniable that the body changes many times throughout the length of adulthood.
Education is one indicator that a person has began their journey into adulthood. Attending
a University is a time when many men and women set out on their own to find their own
identity and place in the world. Part of that identity is body image. Tiggemann and
Zaccardo (2015) conducted research that aimed to investigate the impact of fitspiration
images on college women s body image. Participants included 130 female college
students ages seventeen though thirty who were randomly assigned to view either a set
of Instagram fitspiration images or a control set of travel images. Fitspiration is a social
media term used to describe media images of men and women who are extremely thin,
fit, and toned. These images are used to inspire fitness and healthy life styles among
people through the use of social media. Several aspects of fitspiration raise some concern.
The majority of men and women in the images display one scrupulous body shape.
Although these images are less thin and more muscular than that of fashion models
typically found in magazines, it is still an unattainable ideal for most men and women
(Tiggemann Zaccardo, 2015). Men and women use these inspirational images to motivate
themselves to lose weight, go to the gym, and eat healthy wholesome foods. As
understood through the social comparison theory (Festinger, 1954) people have an innate
motivation to compare themselves to
Benefits Of Data Coding Standards
Dr. Braunstein first describes in the lecture how data that appears to be simple may
actually be more complex to interpret when not coded in a similar manner such as the
case of gender and then also mentions, Imagine what happens with the concept of a
patient s diagnosis, which is inherently somewhat subjective, can have thousands of
possible values and as we ll see, can be described at varying levels of detail (Braunstein,
2017). This identifies the need for data coding standards: to help best interpret data
among various systems. In the healthcare industry, data coding standards are applied in
numerous ways. The LOINCstandard may be applied while collecting data for a medical
test and analyzing it. The suggested medications may follow... Show more content on

There exists many data coding standards in healthcare. The ICD is the international
standard of the classification of diseases used by a multitude of healthcare
professionals ( International Classification of Diseases , 2016). Its latest version, ICD
10, has numerous benefits including helping doctors more correctly report conditions
and differentiate payment by treatment type, more efficient disease management, and
helping to prevent fraudulent claims as a result (Schwartz, 2013). In terms of current
use, more and more countries have used it for reporting morbidity. In the United
States, it has been the official standard for death certificates since 1999 (Brouch,
2000). For the future, ICD 11 is stated to be released to include recent advancements in
healthcare and medicine and will allow open access for editing ( International
Classification of Diseases , 2016). LOINCВ® is used to standardize data for
laboratory and medical clinic measurements (McDonald et al., 2003). Benefits include
helping separate lab systems interpret shared lab test data, improving the efficiency of
ordering lab tests from many labs, and also aiding in generating public health clinical
data ( 3.2 Benefits of LOINC ). Current usage is categorized into three areas: laboratory,
clinical, and HIPAA specific proposals. The majority of US federal agencies and public

Planning And Statutory Approvals, Production Information...
Architect
Architects are involved in the designing and building stage and can oversee many parts
of the process from beginning to end. The designing stage will require the architect to
prepare the concept design and the detailed design, the applications for planning and
statutory approvals, production information and tender documentation. During the
building process, they may issue variation orders (VO s) and architects instructions (AI
s) to be passed on to the necessary people, and they will inspect the final product and
give advice on rectifying any defects after completion.
The career pathway for an architect would begin at school/college studying relevant
subjects like university. They would have completed a Bsc or BA degree in Architecture
(or a related course) for 3 years. After graduating, they will complete 1 year of practical
experience working under the supervision of an architect or a qualified construction
industry professional. After this year, they will go back to university for a further 2
years to complete a BArch, Diploma or MArch degree. Another year of practical
experience is required to be able to sit the final exam to become a qualified architect.

Giant Sequoia trees, at ground level, are about 20 30 ft in diameter. Most trees in the
groves are about 1000 3000 years old. Giant Sequoias are felled by wind or snow in the
winter, or humans who cut them down. The conditions in which the trees live must be
very specific. They require lots of precipitation, higher elevation, deep glacial soil, and
some warmth. Giant Sequoias in Yosemite National Parkare naturally found in droves
such as the Mariposa, Tuolomne, and Merced Groves. The other place it is found is in
the Yosemite Cemetery. Before his death, Galen Clark chose his gravesite and planted
four Giant Sequoias at the corners of his grave. The discovery of the Giant Sequoias
started in 1860 by the early Euro Americans. they lined up horses, stagecoaches, and
troops alongside and on top of fallen trees to show how large and tall they were.
Unfortunately, some people saw the trees as an opportunity for wealth by felling the
trees. In 1864, Congress discussed whether or not the Yosemite Valley or Mariposa
Grove should be protected. The idea of preservation led to larger expansions of
national parks in the western U.S., and the idea of national parks stemmed from the
big trees. Also, the National Park Service logo has the picture of a giant Sequoia on it.
People from all over the world come to visit the groves. The size and age of the
Military Service Should Not Be Mandatory In The United
States
Armstrong Williams believes that military service should be mandatory in the United
States. His reasons are that it would benefit the military, the country, and the conscript.
While Williams provides some interesting arguments, I disagree with his position on
mandatory military service and believe there are negative aspects to each benefit he
describes. Militaryservice should not be mandatory because of the negative consequences
to our country, citizens, and military.
Mandatory military service should not go into effect because it would harm our
country and its citizens. America was founded on the precepts of life, liberty, and the
pursuit of happiness. To dictate such a policy would destroy our great country s very
foundation. Specifically, it would rob Americans of their basic liberty to choose whether
to join the military or not. In addition, most people would get drafted to the military
around the age of eighteen, which is when they would otherwise be interviewing to get a
job or heading off to college. Conscription takes away these freedoms to choose one s
path and, at a minimum, delays it for at least two ... Show more content on

With significantly more people joining the military than usual, expenses would
drastically increase and the military would suffer because of this. Not only would our
military have less money for weapons, equipment, and machinery, but soldiers would
also get paid less. As Martin Luther King Jr. once stated, A nation that continues year
after year to spend more money on military defense than on programs of social uplift is
approaching spiritual doom. In addition, mandatory service would weaken our forces.
Since the participants do not train or choose to join the military, many will bring a lack
of athleticism, preparedness, and motivation, which will dilute the military overall. In
close, the U.S. military would be negatively affected by mandatory
The Minimum Wage
To begin with, I would like to describe what the minimum wage is. The minimum wage is
the lowest wage that companies can pay employees. It should provide enough income for
employees to have the amount which will be sufficient to guarantee the subsistence
minimum. This theme is widely discussed around the world. Many countries have a type
of minimum wage. Most of them regulate it yearly, depending on the cost of living.
Speaking about the minimum wagein the USA, it is lower than in most other world s
countries, although the cost of living is higher. Nowadays the minimum federal wage in
the USA is 7, 25 and it can vary by state or by employee position. Despite of this fact,
some individual states can make their own laws on this. The minimum wage laws should
prohibit employers from manipulating workers.
History
To understand the topic more accurately, let s go deeper into the history of the minimum
wage.
Minimum wage in America isn t as old as you might think: the first federal minimum
wage was first introduced by Franklin Delano Roosevelt in 1938. Minimum wage was
set at 25 cents an hour, which works out to about $4 per hour in today s money.
That minimum wage was introduced as part of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). The
FLSA also covers things like youth employment standards, overtime pay, recordkeeping,
and standards for government employees at the local, state, and federal levels.

While the traditional threat of inter state wars have not occurred in Southeast Asia since
post cold war era, it has been replaced with numerous conflicts in the region, a trend
somewhat consistent with Huntington s view. Huntington argued that the ideological
conflict of the Cold War would be replaced by ethnic conflict along historical cleavage
lines a clash of civilizations. 5 Economic development and the spread of democracy may

rise of ethnic violence, territorial disputes and security concerns such as proliferation of
weapon of mass destruction outside of Southeast Asia.

electromagnetic field which is used in transformers to change current and voltage.
Mutual inductance is the magnetic field generated by a coil of wire which induces a
voltage in the other coil of wire. A transformer is an object constructed of multiple
numbers of coils in close proximity to each other, with the express purpose of creating a
condition of mutual inductance between the coils.
Transformers Having a different number of coils between two coils of wire can cause
a decreas of voltage of AC currents in applications. Transformers are based on Faraday s

Why Cave Art Has Been A Popular Form Of Art During...
Cave Art has been a popular form of art during prehistoric period with there being

some of the popular ideas which have been established although are that the paintings
were set to establish boundary markers, to be used as part of hunting magic / shamanism
or they may have just simply have been art to admire. Yet there has been no certain
answer established as each theoryseems to be continuously disregarded and soon

service, loyalty, honesty, and integrity would completely support the Kantian Rights of
free consent, privacy, freedom of conscience, speech, and due process because these are
the very things the military fights to defend, and the military is the market which USAA
seeks to serve.
Foreign Operations
The extent of USAA s foreign operations is not too great considering they serve the
people of the American military forces. However, they do handle customer accounts
while they are in foreign lands serving in the military; for instance, USAA offers great
financial management support for military personnel who are about to be deployed so
that they can use their combat and active duty pay wisely to support themselves and their
family.

Trace Evidence In Criminal Investigation
The chain of custody is perhaps the most important aspect of evidence procedure. If
trace evidence is improperly handled at any point during its journey from collection, to
trial, the entire case against the defendant could be in jeopardy. This paper will examine
trace evidence, its requirements, and the necessary steps required to prove its validity
during trial proceedings.
Physical and trace evidence collected at a crime scene can be an invaluable tool for
investigating officers, as well as prosecuting attorneys. However, it is imperative that
evidence be handled appropriately, and following the appropriate chain of custody from
collection to trial. Physical evidence can play both a direct or circumstantial role in the ...

In Davis v. Mississippi, the Supreme Court stated that fingerprints where inherently
more reliable than eyewitness identification (Gardner, 2016). Although finger prints
are considered extremely reliable, steps must be taken to ensure that the fingerprint
was actually left at the crime scene during the time period that the crime was
committed. In order to prove a fingerprint s validity, the prosecution must rely on both
expert testimony as well as detailed, accurate, and proper chain of custody
documentation. In order to prove the correct timing of the latent print, evidence can be
provided through a few methods. One method is the use of an eyewitness who can
testify to the defendant s presence during the time of the crime (Gardner, 2016).
Additionally, testimony proving that the surface was just cleaned or washed
immediately prior to the crime is admissible (Gardner, 2016). Finally, fairly fresh prints
at a crime scene where the defendant did not have access, or prints left in blood that
could only be placed after the smear was made can be considered admissible (Gardner,
Norman Rabkin
Critics often divide into opposite teams when talking about Shakespeare s last plays.
Each of the last plays is concerned with the development of a world that can be
interpreted just as we interpret the world of any earlier play. In any Shakespearean
world, character and destiny are aspects of a cosmos whose laws control the action of
the play, and out illusion is that we are participating in a life that has its own full and
peculiar integrity (Rabkin 118). We begin to recognize that the nature and man s nature
are the same. Modern critics has emphasized the self reflexive signals in the romances;
in doing so, they interpret the plays to be about play making. Many critics are led to the
idea that the romances can be considered autobiographical or as reflections on the idea of
the play. Others ignore this and analyze the plays illusory worlds in the dramatic terms
they demand. Both... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Many of the resources that Rabkin used in the book were also familiar to me from
reading them in this course. There were also many sources that he used that I was
unfamiliar with, but most of the time Rabkin was still able to get his point across by
using text straight from the plays and summarizing plots. This book was very
informative in figuring out some of Shakespeare s plays, as well as life in general.
Life, like Shakespeare s plays, is not easily summed up in one single sentence, but can
be experienced, expressed, and recognized. Life, like Shakespeare s plays, progresses
through stages. Though we cannot say for certain exactly what Shakespeare was
thinking, we can guess, through deep interpretation, what he may have been trying to
convey. As Shakespeare progressed through his career, his plays matured and gathered
new meaning; by the end, Shakespeare recognized a world that was beyond even what
he was capable of
Comparing Gregory And Marie s Views On Love And
Marriage
Varied Views on Love and Marriage
Hanwen Wang
The Christian notion of gender relations has a profound influence on Christian Europe.
It can be best demonstrated by people s views on love and marriage during different
periods of time. Both Gregory and Marie have their own views on love and marriage that
represents the cultural background in their societies. Although the views on love and
marriage in The History of the Franks and Lais are both derived from The Bible, they
are different among each other mainly in the acceptance of polygamy. I will argue
that Marie s view on love and marriage is closer to The Bible than Gregory s. Views on
love and marriage are varied among different societies and are changing ... Show more

He summarizes three good things about marriage: Fidelity, indissolubility, and
offspring, which are more or less conserved in The History of the Franks and Lais. The
fundamental difference between the Gregory s and Marie s views on gender relations
is the allowance of polygamy. In The History of the Franks, there are a few kings who
insist on marrying only one woman, but polygamy is prevalent in the society, which
is totally against the law of God by Augustine. The great desire of finding heirs
excludes fidelity in upper class marriages. Compared with The History of Franks,
there exists more evidence in Lais reflecting the traditional view on gender relation
from The Christian Bible. Polygamy and divorce are strictly prohibited by the society
in Lais. A man can only marry one woman for life, so marriages in Lais are usually
arranged carefully by parents and depends on the social rank of both families in order
to keep their political power. At this point, love is usually not included in marriages.
However, both men and women show great desire for their true love, which suggests that
they still embrace the views on love from The Bible. The struggling of women between
arranged marriage and true love in
Realists Vs. Liberals
Realists and Liberals have their differences. One can already foresee that Realism has
much more a conservative and pessimistic vision of the world. This comes from the
realist s skepticism about the capacity of human reason and the delivery of moral
progress, all due to self interest. As growth is not possible for Realism, survival of the
state is the solitary thing that matters, which therefore reflects on its conservatism. From
a realist perspective, the most important objective is relative power, whether a state is
more or less powerful than one s traditional rival. This concept influences how states act.
States that have relatively more power; have very few constraints to states that have less
power. Overall, this influences the stability
Bubonic Plague In China
Bubonic Plague finally slowed down within China many long term changes were made.
With the Mongols seeming to lose power within China, it allowed a new dynasty to
emerge. The Ming dynasty took control of the country and led the people into an era of
change. Under the guise of community gatherings, rites and sacrifices solidified the
Ming order by portraying the rulers as the moral and spiritual benefactors. 1 This is a
political move in getting the people of Chinato back the new governmental changes
happening in the country. The rulers were no longer untouchable beings who had
obtained the Mandate of Heaven. By implementing old practices, mostly religious, to
gain the favor of the people. Gaining favor of the people the Ming proved they
Prevalence And Types Of Cancer Among Urban Rural
Populations
Objective: To determine the prevalence and types of cancer among urban rural
populations and their relation to socioeconomic status.
Methodology: A cross sectional study carried out in three hospitals in Punjab named
Mayo Hospital, Lahore, Nishtar hospital and civil hospital in Multan, Pakistan. All the
new cases of cancers (all known types of cancer) were recorded during the months of
August 2013 through February 2014. Details of age, sex, socioeconomic status, address
whether rural or urban, stage, type of cancer and hemoglobin levels at the time of
presentation were recorded after taking the verbal consent from the patients and the
attendees. For data analysis, Statistical Package of Social Sciences (SPSS v. 21) software
was used. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

carcinoma with 29 cases (9.5%): 23 (79.3%) were poor and 6 (20.7%) were rich, 22
(75.86%) were rural patients and 7 (24.16%) urban. Carcinoma of cervix with 22 cases
(7.2%); 16 (72.72%) were poor and 6 (27.3%) were rich, 13 (59.1%) patients were from
rural areas 9 (40.9%) were from urban areas. Several other rare carcinomas resembling
Wilms tumor, with as few cases as 1 case in the time period of 6 months are also
discussed.
Conclusion: The study shows that in general, cancer is extra prevalent in poor
socioeconomic status, population and those patients that live in rural areas. Further study
should be carried out to observe the effects of other variables reminiscent of screening,
knowledge to pursue medical attention, the time to search for medical attention,
implementation of preventive methods, environmental factors should be taken into
account and the geographical area should be increased so that the study can be carried
on a larger scale.
INTRODUCTION: Cancers of multiple types remain one of the foremost challenging
and significant obstacles faced by health providers with numbers rising to an epidemic
in recent years. It is a leading cause of death worldwide. In 2007 it accounted for
approximately 8 million deaths (around 13% of all deaths); and exceeding 70% of these
Swot Analysis Of Dillard s
There are many retail giants that have had an active presence on the market for
sometime. A few that come to mind are JCPenny, Macy s and Nordstorm s. However,
one major retail chain that has spread across the country was started right here in the
state of Arkansas. Dillard s first department store was opened in 1938 in Nashville,
Arkansas by its founder William Dillard. Since its inauguration, Dillard s has turned
into one of the more prominent retailers in the United States. With an ever growing
market base and clientele, Dillard s has seen successful since the early 1950s. This
success, however, leaves people with a few questions about the Arkansas native retail
giant. What does Dillard s current market look like? How does Dillard s compare... Show

Once again Dillard s finds itself shrinking in comparison on sheer market size.
Compared to Dillard s 300 stores in 29 states, JCPenny has over 1,000 locations across
the United States and in Puerto Rico. This provides much contest for Dillard s as
JCPenny is a store often seen across the mall from them. With so many stores across
the nation Dillard s was able to keep it close in the gross income department. JCPenny
only reported a gross income of 4.0 billion dollars in 2015, compared to Dillard s 2.15
billion dollars. This boasts well for Dillard s and the quality of their merchandise. Retail
conglomeration s have been extremely influential since the early 20th century and
Dillard s is no different. From their small beginnings in Nashville, Arkansas to their
impressive influence in 29 states across the union, Dillard s has become a mainstay of
quality retail. Even when they are outnumbered by the competition, Dillard s seems to be
able to hold their own. This would me Mr. William Dillard proud and does him great
honor in continuing his
Example Of Leading By Example
Lead by Example: Fact or Fiction My family is really important to me. This is because
they are always helping me with my life. They help me decide what to do. The main
person that leads me by example is my sister Sara. She is always helping me up and
down. Although, we fight, we make up. Two other people that lead me by example are
my mom and dad. They always tell me that you have to do whatever you put your
mind to. Leading by example is a big priority in my life because what you do can affect
other people in many different ways. But everyone is a leader if they try their best.
People may doubt what you say, but they will believe what you do. Lewis Cass. Any
body can lead by example, it is simple if you try your best. Leaders are right in front of
you. Parents, and teachers. They try and lead you onto the right path. When you grow
up with your parents and teachers leading you to the right path. That will guide you to
help other people on the right path. An article by Brent Gleeson said that there are
seven ways to lead by example, but I am only going to name two of the seven. The first
one is to get your hands dirty. By doing this you can learn to build... Show more content

What is the example we want to be setting? They say that if you can t answer that
question then you can t lead by example because you don t know what that example is
supposed to be. I personally think that it has happened to me before. I don t know
what example to set so therefore I can t lead by example. But put this to mind, you
have to try your best if you want to lead or become a leader. If you want empowerment,
think of this, you have to make decisions based on the highest good. You have to be
proactive by asking what you can do the help or improve in a situation. If you want
something you have to shoot for it. Everybody has dreams. Achieve your dreams by

  • 3. Zoning Simply put, zoning, in a planning or land use context, is the classification of the land in a community into districts with different regulations for its utilization. Zoning and other methods of land use control have evolved with the primary objectives of promoting the health, safety, and wellbeing of residents while minimizing the negative impacts of one activity or use upon others. Zoningis effectively a legislative process whereby a community prioritizes values associated with land, development, and associated activities. Examples of this type include restrictions on building heights, setbacks, road widths, building materials, and architectural style. In the first third of the 20th century, the United States saw zoning become an accepted tool in land use regulation. New York City passed a zoning plan in 1916. This set of rules primarily focused on building form and setbacks, and included a now routine provision for variances. The New York law was primarily a response to a technological innovation the skyscraper and the arising concerns associated with it. Many States adopted the Standard State Zoning Enabling Acts of 1922, which was offered as a model by the U.S. Department of Commerce and provided a framework and codified a general legal basis for zoning across the country. The Department of Commerce also introduced a Standard City Planning Enabling Act, which was widely adopted beginning in 1928. These acts put into place the general structure of local and regional planning and zoning which is still used today. Elements and entities such as the Planning Commission, the Master Plan, subdivision control measures, and provision for regional planning bodies and plans were primarily introduced by the Standard City Planning Enabling Act. Many Americans may stumble upon the question, Are we a more perfect Union? . I believe that the general structure of a country plays a significant role in the overall adequacy. The United StatesGovernment runs under a system called checks and balances. This is the coordination between the three branches of government executive, legislative, and judicial. So far, it has proved to be an efficient way to organize and regulate each position. Separation of power allows each branch of government to do its role while rectifying and improving each other branch in the process. This is in order that each branch has equal power and there is no branch with more or less power than another. The executive branch consists of the President and various departments and agencies. Many places have a person dressed like Santa where kids can go up and sit on their lap and tell them what they want for Christmas. Another tradition is people put up a Christmas tree so Santa can put presents under it. People put up pine trees with lights and ornaments on it and on Christmas Eve if you were good Santa puts gifts under it. As more families moved in, they relied on each other, and would gather in the court yard to talk and enjoy each others company. The times sure changed though. The Chicago Housing Authority started neglecting the Homes. Grass would go months without mowing, the appliances would deteriorate without replacement, and the plumbing was left to self destruct. The people of Henry Horner, especially the good people, longed for a place that they could sit up at night on a porch without fear. They had a dream of a place without the violence, but many of the people here became so conditioned to think that this is the way it was supposed to be, that a thought of getting out was a fleeting one. Education is one indicator that a person has began their journey into adulthood. Attending a University is a time when many men and women set out on their own to find their own identity and place in the world. Part of that identity is body image. Tiggemann and Zaccardo (2015) conducted research that aimed to investigate the impact of fitspiration images on college women s body image. Participants included 130 female college students ages seventeen though thirty who were randomly assigned to view either a set of Instagram fitspiration images or a control set of travel images. Fitspiration is a social media term used to describe media images of men and women who are extremely thin, fit, and toned. These images are used to inspire fitness and healthy life styles among people through the use of social media. Several aspects of fitspiration raise some concern. The majority of men and women in the images display one scrupulous body shape. Although these images are less thin and more muscular than that of fashion models typically found in magazines, it is still an unattainable ideal for most men and women (Tiggemann Zaccardo, 2015). Men and women use these inspirational images to motivate themselves to lose weight, go to the gym, and eat healthy wholesome foods. As understood through the social comparison theory (Festinger, 1954) people have an innate motivation to compare themselves to

In terms of current use, more and more countries have used it for reporting morbidity. In the United States, it has been the official standard for death certificates since 1999 (Brouch, 2000). His reasons are that it would benefit the military, the country, and the conscript. While Williams provides some interesting arguments, I disagree with his position on mandatory military service and believe there are negative aspects to each benefit he describes. Militaryservice should not be mandatory because of the negative consequences to our country, citizens, and military. Mandatory military service should not go into effect because it would harm our country and its citizens. America was founded on the precepts of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. To dictate such a policy would destroy our great country s very foundation. Specifically, it would rob Americans of their basic liberty to choose whether to join the military or not. • 14. The Minimum Wage To begin with, I would like to describe what the minimum wage is. The minimum wage is the lowest wage that companies can pay employees. It should provide enough income for employees to have the amount which will be sufficient to guarantee the subsistence minimum. This theme is widely discussed around the world. Many countries have a type of minimum wage. Most of them regulate it yearly, depending on the cost of living. Speaking about the minimum wagein the USA, it is lower than in most other world s countries, although the cost of living is higher. Nowadays the minimum federal wage in the USA is 7, 25 and it can vary by state or by employee position. Despite of this fact, some individual states can make their own laws on this. The minimum wage laws should prohibit employers from manipulating workers. History To understand the topic more accurately, let s go deeper into the history of the minimum wage. Minimum wage in America isn t as old as you might think: the first federal minimum wage was first introduced by Franklin Delano Roosevelt in 1938. Minimum wage was set at 25 cents an hour, which works out to about $4 per hour in today s money. That minimum wage was introduced as part of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). The FLSA also covers things like youth employment standards, overtime pay, recordkeeping, and standards for government employees at the local, state, and federal levels. (Bebusinessed, 2016, para.7). • 20. Trace Evidence In Criminal Investigation The chain of custody is perhaps the most important aspect of evidence procedure. If trace evidence is improperly handled at any point during its journey from collection, to trial, the entire case against the defendant could be in jeopardy. This paper will examine trace evidence, its requirements, and the necessary steps required to prove its validity during trial proceedings. Physical and trace evidence collected at a crime scene can be an invaluable tool for investigating officers, as well as prosecuting attorneys. However, it is imperative that evidence be handled appropriately, and following the appropriate chain of custody from collection to trial. Physical evidence can play both a direct or circumstantial role in the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In Davis v. Mississippi, the Supreme Court stated that fingerprints where inherently more reliable than eyewitness identification (Gardner, 2016). Although finger prints are considered extremely reliable, steps must be taken to ensure that the fingerprint was actually left at the crime scene during the time period that the crime was committed. In order to prove a fingerprint s validity, the prosecution must rely on both expert testimony as well as detailed, accurate, and proper chain of custody documentation. In order to prove the correct timing of the latent print, evidence can be provided through a few methods. One method is the use of an eyewitness who can testify to the defendant s presence during the time of the crime (Gardner, 2016). Additionally, testimony proving that the surface was just cleaned or washed immediately prior to the crime is admissible (Gardner, 2016). Finally, fairly fresh prints at a crime scene where the defendant did not have access, or prints left in blood that could only be placed after the smear was made can be considered admissible (Gardner,
  • 21. Norman Rabkin Critics often divide into opposite teams when talking about Shakespeare s last plays. Each of the last plays is concerned with the development of a world that can be interpreted just as we interpret the world of any earlier play. In any Shakespearean world, character and destiny are aspects of a cosmos whose laws control the action of the play, and out illusion is that we are participating in a life that has its own full and peculiar integrity (Rabkin 118). We begin to recognize that the nature and man s nature are the same. Modern critics has emphasized the self reflexive signals in the romances; in doing so, they interpret the plays to be about play making. Many critics are led to the idea that the romances can be considered autobiographical or as reflections on the idea of the play. Others ignore this and analyze the plays illusory worlds in the dramatic terms they demand. Both... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Many of the resources that Rabkin used in the book were also familiar to me from reading them in this course. There were also many sources that he used that I was unfamiliar with, but most of the time Rabkin was still able to get his point across by using text straight from the plays and summarizing plots. This book was very informative in figuring out some of Shakespeare s plays, as well as life in general. Life, like Shakespeare s plays, is not easily summed up in one single sentence, but can be experienced, expressed, and recognized. Life, like Shakespeare s plays, progresses through stages. Though we cannot say for certain exactly what Shakespeare was thinking, we can guess, through deep interpretation, what he may have been trying to convey. As Shakespeare progressed through his career, his plays matured and gathered new meaning; by the end, Shakespeare recognized a world that was beyond even what he was capable of
  • 22. Comparing Gregory And Marie s Views On Love And Marriage Varied Views on Love and Marriage Hanwen Wang The Christian notion of gender relations has a profound influence on Christian Europe. It can be best demonstrated by people s views on love and marriage during different periods of time. Both Gregory and Marie have their own views on love and marriage that represents the cultural background in their societies. Although the views on love and marriage in The History of the Franks and Lais are both derived from The Bible, they are different among each other mainly in the acceptance of polygamy. I will argue that Marie s view on love and marriage is closer to The Bible than Gregory s. Views on love and marriage are varied among different societies and are changing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He summarizes three good things about marriage: Fidelity, indissolubility, and offspring, which are more or less conserved in The History of the Franks and Lais. The fundamental difference between the Gregory s and Marie s views on gender relations is the allowance of polygamy. In The History of the Franks, there are a few kings who insist on marrying only one woman, but polygamy is prevalent in the society, which is totally against the law of God by Augustine. The great desire of finding heirs excludes fidelity in upper class marriages. Compared with The History of Franks, there exists more evidence in Lais reflecting the traditional view on gender relation from The Christian Bible. Polygamy and divorce are strictly prohibited by the society in Lais. A man can only marry one woman for life, so marriages in Lais are usually arranged carefully by parents and depends on the social rank of both families in order to keep their political power. At this point, love is usually not included in marriages. However, both men and women show great desire for their true love, which suggests that they still embrace the views on love from The Bible. The struggling of women between arranged marriage and true love in
  • 23. Realists Vs. Liberals Realists and Liberals have their differences. One can already foresee that Realism has much more a conservative and pessimistic vision of the world. This comes from the realist s skepticism about the capacity of human reason and the delivery of moral progress, all due to self interest. As growth is not possible for Realism, survival of the state is the solitary thing that matters, which therefore reflects on its conservatism. From a realist perspective, the most important objective is relative power, whether a state is more or less powerful than one s traditional rival. This concept influences how states act. States that have relatively more power; have very few constraints to states that have less power. Overall, this influences the stability
