An Integration Center Of The Reflex Arc
An integration center in the reflex arc is a neuropathway that creates a reflex action
to activating neurons to skip the spinal cord and protect your brain. The nerve cells
can be categorized by their connections, structure, and neurotransmitters. The
structural classification is depending on shape and size of the cell body, its dendritic
tree, axonlength, and the nature of the connections it makes. The neurons with one,
two, or more than two neurites, are unipolar, bipolar, and multipolar respectively.
Most of neurons in vertebrate nervous systems are multipolar, but there are
significant exceptions. For illustration, bipolar neurons in the retina synapse with
sensory neurons, and photoreceptors in the dorsal root ganglion are explained as
pseudo unipolar as they begin life as bipolar cells but their two neurites fuse. The
unipolar neurons dominate in invertebrates. Collaterals a small side branch, as of a
blood vessel or nerve. A neuronal pool is a group of interconnected neurons with
specific functions. A pool may be diffuse, involving neurons in several regions of the
brain, or localized, with neurons restricted to one specific location in the brain or
spinal cord. However, the proper function of the circuit of the stretch reflex also relies
on convergence and divergence. A single sensory has multiple branches that diverge
and make synaptic connections with many individual motor neurons. Therefore,
when the muscle contracts as a result of the neurologist s tapper, it
Walt Disney World
Since 1923, Walt Disney has provided people of all ages with tons of entertainment
(Dole). From cartoons to theme parks, Disney has done it all. Everywhere you turn
there is a Disney creation. He has single handedly taken over the motion picture
industry. He was very creative, funny, and imaginative. Walt Disney
has lived a very
interesting life full of adventure.
Walt Disney was born in Chicago, Illinois on December 5, 1901 (Cole 9 10). His
family had a small farm, and that is where he developed a love for animals (Cole 14).
He started drawing on toilet paper, but sometimes his brother would use his extra
money to buy Walt paper (Cole 13,15). Disney dropped out of school at 16 to join the

There he started working with Universal studios and was an immediate success
(Dole). At Universal Studios, he created many cartoons and characters we still love
today, such as Mickey Mouse (Dole). In 1957, Disney decided to branch out and
open up a theme park (Jolley). This park was Disneyland, which grew to be the
most successful amusement park ever (Jolley). He was in the process of creating
Disney World, but died of lung cancer before it was created (Jolley). The park was
built anyway and opened in 1971 (Jolley). Walt Disney opened a university called
The California Institute of the Arts (Dole). Regarding the school, he said, If I can
help provide a place to develop the talent of the future, I think I will have
accomplished something (Dole). He also went on to win many awards. He even
holds a record for the most Academy Awards won (Jolley). He has taught us all
valuable lessons, whether it be in his cartoons or from him as a person. Overall,
Walt Disney was a true inspiration. He showed children and even adults that they
could be whatever they wanted to be. He filled minds with imagination, adventure,
and wonder, and this caused people to do better things with their lives. He grew up

Analysis Of Dostoevsky And Kierkegaard s The Grand...
What does it mean to have faith? This is not a question of, do you believe in the
teachings of your religion, but what is a true believer. Dostoevsky and Kierkegaard
are two philosophers that extensively delved with great contemplation and
introspection of what it means to be a Christian. Both of these philosophers took a
critical microscope to the typical Christian teachings of how to be a good Christian.
What both of these philosophers eventually deduced is that the traditional teachings
of Christianity remove the person from from ever truly finding the meaning behind
their faith; thus separating the devoted from the divine. For both Dostoevsky and
Kierkegaard, to be a Christian is more than going through the motions of what the
church leaders tell you, but to find out for oneself why they ultimately believe. To
convey his notions, Ivan, the main character of Dostoevsky s story, creates the
character the Grand Inquisitor. The Grand Inquisitor is symbolic of the catholic
church and the control they hold over the followers of Catholicism. In this story, the
Grand Inquisitor is faced with Jesus Christ, whom has come back to earth for the
second coming. In on particular instance, The Inquisitor challenges Christ by saying,
Didst Thou forget that man prefers peace, and even death, to freedom of choice in
the knowledge of good and evil? Nothing is more seductive for man than his
freedom of conscience, but nothing is a greater cause of suffering (Dostoevsky, pg

Twelfth Night Madness
Madness and foolishness make many appearances in Twelfth Night. Feste, the
jester in count Olivia s house states in act 3 scene 1, foolery, sir, does walk about
the ord like the sun; it shines everywhere. The first appearance of madness in the
play is when Orsino, the Duke of Illyria, is reciting a poem about love. Orsino, instead
of showing madness as insanity or a mental illness he shows it as mad with love.
Some have made inferences that the images Orsino creates with the poem is him
hallucinating. Orsino in scene 1 act 1 recites, If music be the food of love, play on;
Give me excess of it, that, surfeiting, The appetite may sicken, and so die. That strain

Because of his rude and bossy actions Maria, Toby, Feste, Andrew, and Fabian
made an evil plan. They planned to trick him and make a fool out of the steward.
By making him think Olivia loves him and that he is a madman, they would sure
get their revenge. Maria first wrote a letter to Malvolio playing as Olivia. The
letter is a love poem to Malvolio, claiming she loves him but wishes to keep it a

Essay about A Speech About Tennis Shoes
A speech about tennis shoes
Respected Chair, distinguished guests of the day, and my dear friends,
As you all know, Tennis is a well known game which has fans all over the world.
Like the other components of the game, I strongly feel that tennis shoes are also
important for the effective performance of a player in the court and there is no doubt
that the latest designs and technologies make them really performance oriented. It is
essential for the players to wear special shoes designed for tennis because ordinary
running shoes would not work for them. I have learnt that running shoes are designed
to facilitate forward motion exerting more stress on the feet and that they do not
provide stability for the feet in sideways body movements ... Show more content on

Another difference is in the case of shoes for men and women. Smaller size men s
shoes were used by women players in the past but tennis shoes specially designed
for men and women are available now. Women s shoes could be distinguished by
features like narrow heel area and a wider toe portion and shoes for men possess
same width in the toe and heel areas (Trabert, Witchey amp; DeNevi 25).
For Brown, inside and outside stability is the most important feature of a true tennis
shoe. Tennis is a game which requires more side to side movements than the
forward or backward motion and therefore choosing a shoe which supports
controlled sideways movements would prevent the feet from rolling and thus help
to prevent ankle sprains. There are tennis shoes of different weights, comfort levels
and costs available to tennis players and it is always to go for the light weight shoes
if it satisfies all other requirements (Brown xiv).
Therefore it is understood that different types of tennis shoes are available in order
to suit specific purposes. Special tennis shoes are available even for kids to play
tennis. Specially designed shoes for tennis facilitate balanced and easy sideways
movement for the feet and exertion of lesser force on the joints. Tennis players can
make a choice among the large variety of shoes available for them

La Purisima A.) The mission chapel is beautiful. The beauty of this chapel can
compare to the Santa Barbara one. They both are bright in color. When in the
chapels I get a warm feeling. Old artwork. Kind of built like an ancient style
building. Candles light up the room. B.) The natives daily duties consisted of
mixing mud with straws to make adobe bricks to build. The Spanish soldiers lived
a more foreign like lifestyle because the mission and their teachings were rather new
to the natives. Some natives were blacksmiths and would build and repair the tools
of Spanish society. Gradually, Chumash stone implements gave way to iron and

The Natives did not know how to use fire arms or agricultural tools. The natives
were accomplished traders that had a monetary system based on beads and

in the spirit of sharing as opposed to one of profiteering. Natives lived a hunter

Natives also created currency from seashells that have been found up and down the
coast of California. C.) Earthquakes had affected La Purisima in a major way. So
major, the natives had to relocate the original site from just outside of Lompoc,
Ca. The natives refused to return to the original site, so the missions father
decided to relocate to an area called La Canada de los Berros, a little further from
Lompoc, about four miles north. The fathers rebuilt the Mission but decided to put
the buildings in a straight line instead of the normal square shape since it would be
more difficult for the buildings to damage each other if they fell during another
earthquake. La Purisima is the only Mission not to follow the quadrangle shape of
the rest of the Missions. La Canada de los Berros means The Canyon of the water

The Client Of A Mental Health Facility
The Client s Right To Die
A client that has expressed he has been suffering from severe bipolar disorder and
his quality of life is so compromised by his illness that he logically and rationally
chooses suicide, should be involuntary admitted to a mental health facility. As a
counselor for the client it is ethically necessary to try to minimize harm where it is
foreseeable and unavoidable (3.04, American Psychological Association, 2002).
Subsequently, petitioning to have the client admitted to a mental health facility
will serve as a means of trying to minimize harm to the client. According to Illinois
law the client is a candidate for involuntary admission to a mental health facility
because due to his illness he is reasonably expected to engage in dangerous conduct
which places him in harm (405 ILCS 5/1 119). According to Illinois law, as a
counselor of at least 18 years of age for the client and who has direct knowledge of
the client s desire to harm himself, I would present a petition for admittance to a
mental facility to the facility director (405 ILCS 5/3 601). The petition would
include the descriptions of client s symptoms of bi polar disorder such as his reports
of terrifying and tormenting episodes of depressive psychosis as well as his feelings
of helplessness and hopelessness. Most important, the petition would also include his
announcement that he has decided to commit suicide, rather than fight his recurrent
mental illness. In addition to the reasons
Should Cell Phones Be Allowed For Students
Throughout the last couple of years a major world wide debate has been if students
should have smart phones. It has been said that cell phones have been very helpful
to not only the students but some of the teachers as well. The podcast states But
these devices are being integrated into lessons. (00:18) These devices can be just as
helpful during class then after class. Many students need the cell phones to do
calculations, research, show up on time, and to keep up with their schedules, buy
parents also want their children to have cell phones so they can directly message
them in case of an emergency and so they can just communicate with their children.
Technologycan be a powerful tool to help students learn and many students benefit
each day from technology use. The podcast states I feel like it is important for them
to learn how to cope with having a powerfully addictive engaging device (15:38)
This teacher stated that he mostly teaches college bound 18 year olds, so this quote
means that for these soon to be adults smart phones are a big responsibility step into
becoming an adult. In short many teachers believe that smartphones are a big help
and a big tool in the classroom and they help with the development of these students.
However many teachers believe that smart phones should not be in class at all. The
podcast states Piece of fabric that has pockets in it, so we put our phones into the

There are three contemporary factors that continue to deprive the core principles of
our democracy. The elections seem to be more about winning the game than the
actual issues and ideals. Each factor plays a major influence on how the American
politics are run today. There has been many Amendments that have been published to
stop voter discrimination. A few are the fifteenth Amendment, in which it states, Race
no Bar to Vote. The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied
or abridge by the United States or by any state on account of race, color, or previous

Billions of dollars are spent each year in attempt to wow over the audience of
America. The money flows through the U.S. politics, Corporations, industry groups,
union labors, and single issued organizations in which all work together to attempt
the end goal of persuasion.
The precedent case Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission has resulted in
fewer restrictions on campaign spending. The Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act
regulates the big money campaigns (Citizens United v. Federal Election
Commission). The act limits and restricts electioneering communications (Citizens
United v. Federal Election Commission). From the article read from Ozey it states,
Section 203 of the BCRA prevents corporations or labor unions from funding such
communication from their general treasuries. Section 201 and 311 require the
disclosure of donors to such communication and a disclaimer when the
communication is not authorized by the candidate it intends to support (Citizens
United v. Federal Election Commission). In the current case the District court held
that The Movie was a representation on express advocacy, as it tried to persuade
voters that Senator Clinton was not the right fit to run for office (Citizens United v.
Federal Election Commission). The communication was not authorized nor supported
Clinton. The problem with putting restriction on campaign spending is in some cases

Descriptive Essay About The Wedding
So you want to know what the title means stay here and you can see. My
grandparents decided to surprised me with a trip going to Scotland, London, then
Paris. When this happened I was overjoyed because I was going to be able to see my
cousins and one was getting married when we were there. This trip was a two week
trip from Aug. 31 to July 12. Before we left, my mom gave me a visa gift card so I
would able to buy stuff. I went to go use it and I noticed that I could only use it in
the USA. When we got there, we got settled in at our familys place. The first night we
had fish and chips on the shore of the North Sea. The first day we arrived there it was
a lazy and went to go look at shops and shop. When we shopped we shopped for
hours.
My second cousin was getting married when we were there so we were there for
her. They had their wedding by the North Sea. The weather for the wedding was
perfect, but it rained when we were walking to the after party where we had a fun
time. On the wedding day, my third cousin, named Hannah, did my hair for the
wedding. During the wedding all of the males in the wedding wore kilts. We
walked around in four different castles in Scotland and they all looked very similar.
The castle I liked the best was the one in Inchcolm. When we were there my papa
could not wait for bangers and mash. When we were shopping and walking around
Edinburgh we saw Scottish bagpipe player.
After all of this which was a week we went to London. The first night
The Two Fridas Picasso
Pablo Picasso, one of the greatest and most influential artists of the 20th century and
co founder of the Cubist movement, was a participant in Europe s political
discourse during most of the early 1900s. Picasso s Guernica, one of his most
powerful political statements, was painted as an immediate reaction to the Nazi s
casual bombing practice on the Basque town of Guernicaduring the Spanish Civil
War. Guernica, a mural size canvas painted in blue, black, and white oil, shows
tragedies of war and the suffering it inflicts upon individuals, particularly innocent
civilians. Picasso depicts turmoil, people and animals suffering, with building in
disarray torn apart by violence and mayhem. With Guernica, Picasso establishes his
identity and his strength as an artist when confronted with political authority and
intolerable violence, especially in his native land. Interpretations of the symbolism of

struggled with self and cultural identity. The Two Fridas is a self painting of a dual
image of Kahlo, one in traditional Mexican garb and the other in European

elements of Mexican culture including folkloric images and the Tehuana costume
which is depicted in The Two Fridas. She also wore the Tehuana herself to
demonstrate the cultural independence of Mexico but also to help her identify with

which is symbolized by the many broken hearts in her self portraits, also shown in

Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism And Christianity Comparison
Practices of Hinduism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism and Christianity Comparison
Hinduism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism and Christianity developed centuries ago
and have been practiced since then to today. Groups of people who practice these
religions are bound to the conventional norms, beliefs, cultures and way of life of
each. Each religion has a particular faith in a supreme being (Woodhead, Partridge
Kawanami, 2016). Muslims believe in Allah, Christians believe in Jesus Christ,
Hindus believe in multiple Gods (Coomaraswamy, 2011) and Buddhism follower s
belief in various Gods and their enlightened priests especially the most high priests

These names are regarded as holy and therefore belong to the religious leaders only
and not ordinary members of the faith. In Hindu religion, the leaders are referred to
as the Brahmins, or in other words, they are regarded as the priestly class. In
Buddhism, the members of the clergy include monks, Dalai Lama, no rituals, Gods
or Priests (Kurien, 2007). To the common Christian religion, the members of the
clergy include the priests, preachers, Bishops, and Popes. In the Islamic religion,
they are referred to as the Prophets (Medina Khadduri Liebesny, 2010). These groups
of people played a significant role in ensuring the religion spreads and that people
learn the doctrines of the faith.
Contrast
Hinduism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism and Christianity developed among different
groups in the world. Hinduism developed in the 19th century in Indonesia by the
people of Hindu (Woodhead, Partridge Kawanami, 2016). Islam was born off the
people of Umma who were tied together by the Islamic religion. Christians trace its
root in the Jewish community in Middle East who follow the teachings of Jesus
Christ the son of their most supreme being God and Buddhism was founded by
Siddhartha Gautama in India (Woodhead, Partridge Kawanami, 2016).
Unlike Islam and Christianity who are monotheistic in that they believe in one Allah
and God respectively.

The Worldwide Influenza Epidemic in the U.S.
The 1918 has gone: a year momentous as the termination of the most cruel war in the
annals of the human race; a year which marked, the end at least for a time, of man s
destruction of man; unfortunately a year in which developed a most fatal infectious
disease causing the death of hundreds of thousands of human beings. Medical science
for four and one half years devoted itself to putting men on the firing line and keeping
them there. Now it must turn with its whole might to combating the greatest enemy
of all infectious disease (Billings, 2005). The influenza in 1919 was much bigger than
a cold. In the two years that this disease swept the world one fifth of the population
was infected. The flu was most deadly for people ages 20 to 40. This pattern of death
was unusual for influenza which usually killed the elderly and young children. It
infected 28% of all Americans. An estimated 675,000 Americans died of influenza
during this pandemic, about ten times as many as in World War 1. Of the U.S.
soldiers who died in Europe, half of them were killed by the influenza virus and not
to the enemy. An estimated 43,000 soldiers who were sent for WWI died of
influenza. The worldwide influenza epidemic adversely affected the U.S., both in
the states and the soldiers at war. Subsequently, in the lack of medicine, lack of
skilled doctors, and the lack of soldier preparation.

How Did Henry Ford Technology Change Society

Although all the great innovation throughout the years there may not be a match for
the impact of change that Henry Fordprompted with his innovation in the 20th

regulations on you all based on what breed your dogappears to be. That is if you are

Argumentative Essay On Molly
In February 2015, 12 students who attended Wesleyan University in Connecticut
were poisoned a hallucinogenic drug called Molly that had to be taken upon
entrance at a campus party. Amphetamine MDMA, also known as molly, is a street
drug that can cause muscle breakdown, high fevers, liver failure, and cardiac arrest.
Molly also causes euphoria. However, molly gives it s users exceptional social
skills; making users feel friendly, and loving. Molly is most commonly used in
settings such as: raves, concerts, and parties. Moreover, psychiatrists have begun to

I would also recommend this article to anyone who does use the drug (if I knew of
anyone) so they could be the judge of whether or not they would want to continue

recommend this article because of the fact that 12 college students lost their lives to
this drug because it was given to them upon entry to the party they attended. The
students did have a choice ultimately of whether they wanted to take the drug or turn
away. If it was peer pressure, the article doesn t state but it does state that the
substances that were taken was not pure MDMA. So, for people who use Molly it
would benefit them to know that when they are taking this drug thinking that is pure
it might not be and in this case the product was 39% percent pure. Thus causing these

The Impact Of Amazonia
Amazonia, a place that is of big significance in both culture and in diversity of
species. It covers most of South America in countries such as Bolivia, Brazil,
Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Peru, Suriname, Venezuela, and a foreign possession

lived for 13,000 years (Amazonia, The Human Impact). Many things have happened
in this place which has caused many troubles to the environment and the people

Deforestation is clearing the land of trees in order to grow or the use of something.
Many thing contribute to deforestation and are ruining the home of thousands of
animals. The first road to be built is one that connects to the capital of Brazil called
Brasilla to the port city of Belem, that is in the north, runs 250 miles long and has
caused deforestation in order to build this road. Transcontinental Roads have been
built in this area since urbanization is on the rise and people need transport in order
to get from one place to another and since the Amazon is a huge chunk of land that
has to be crossed over, railroads began to develop for the people to travel and for
trade. A long railroad to connect from Brazil s Atlantic Coast and a Pacific port in
Peru has been proposed by Brazil, Peru, and China in order to speed up transport of
resources such a soy and phosphate rock (Amazonia, The Human Impact). This
railroad is 3,300 miles long and it is 10 billion dollars, this leads to a big
deforestation that can kill many species and can leave many people without homes.
As of now, there are many roads created that crisscross along the Brazilian Amazon
and many are illegal, about 95%. Fires are another thing that leads to deforestation.
Fires are used in order to clear the land and burn trees
Historical Events With Objectivity And Skepticism
I think the best way to go about teaching history is to try to approach each
historical event with objectivity and skepticism. This process described by
Haskell allows you to teach your students the value of listening to other people s
opinions, by listening to others you allow yourself to be exposed to new ideas or
beliefs. Being skeptical is an important value to install while teaching. Skepticism
allows you to question your own historical bias and personal perspectives, having
doubt creates the ability to question yourself and be open to new teachings.
Although I agree with Haskell s approach, I also agree with some of Novick s
opinions. I believe that to some point we will never know the real truth in regards to
some historical events.
Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein and Bram Stoker’s
Dracula Essay
Mary Shelley s Frankenstein and Bram Stoker s Dracula
Evil features in both Dracula and Frankenstein but the personification of this evil is
different in both novels. A feeling of menace and doom pervades Dracula because of
his supernatural powers. One feels that he has control of the evil and he has the
power to manipulate the environment and people for his own ends. Frankenstein
centres on the creation of a monster made from parts of dead bodies and the fear
created by the monster due to circumstance and the ignorance of society. Also, one
feels a certain amount of apprehension that the monster is deserted by his creator and
loses control without his support and guidance.

Many scenes in Frankenstein are pastoral, thus creating a non threatening atmosphere,
however, it is circumstances and ignorance which result in the creature becoming
despised and hunted which in return change his nature and character when he seeks
revenge for the injustices done against him. Dracula, from the beginning, is the
embodiment of evil he plots and schemes. One could make excuses for him and say
he needs blood or he becomes extinct and it is a form of self preservation. This is
so, however, throughout the novel we are faced time and again with examples of
gratuitous malevolence he makes no distinction between man or woman, child or
baby. Many scenes in Dracula are set in the dark and ominous Castle Dracula, this
results in a pervading atmosphere of apprehension.
In Frankenstein there were reasons behind the monster s actions but this is not the
case in Dracula , apart from him needing blood to exist. Dracula callously uses
people and situations for his own ends, Monster, give me my child! here a woman
from the village has had her baby snatched by Dracula, she knows Dracula has

this shows how little regard Dracula has for the innocence of any creature, then he

of how handle things. As I get older, I could feel my body getting weak. I realized
that I must change my life style and start exercising every day to maintain my health
from further worsening. Through this Behavior Change Project in Health, I decided
to get back in shape and regain my health by slightly changing my daily routine.
According to one site, ethical egoism is the view that each of us ought to pursue our
own self interest, and no one has any obligation to promote anyone else s interests

what their needs and interests are, and they are much more motivated to work hard
to benefit themselves than to achieve any other goal when they are doing that they

Leadership In Beowulf
Kingship is someone held in higher regard or respect over others and one who
possesses characteristics or personality traits of a king. Kingship or leadership is
seen throughout the readings of Everyman, Beowulf, and Sir Gawain and the Green
Knight. Another way that people would describe kingship in the fourteenth century is
by saying, The emergence of more elaborate ways of addressing the king is, in fact,
of great consequence in revealing important developments in the nature of the
fourteenth century parliament, a dramatic shift in the culture of the royal court and,
ultimately, a reconfiguration of the expectations of kingship itself (Dodd 2014).

For example, King Arthur has the characteristic of being brave and proving his
boldness as he is the first person to go up against and try to fight the Green Knight
readers can determine this as the poem says, His men were also hurt those words
had pricked their pride. But born so brave at heart the king stepped up one stride
(Sir Gawain and the Green Knight 192). This quotes says that by nature, King
Arthur is bold. We then go on to see how Sir Gawain has kingship and leadership
qualities when the author describes his shield which happens to be in the shape of
a pentagon. This is otherwise known as the pentangle, each side of the pentagon
shaped shield or the pentangle represents something that Gawain is good at. One
side represented his five senses, another side, which most proves his kingship,
represents the five virtues he possesses. The five virtues consist of fellowship,
chastity, generosity, charity, and courtesy. These five virtues are the reason why Sir
Gawain has good leadership and kingship. Something also mentioned within this
poem is the code of chivalry, a virtue a king should possess in order to hold kingship
and good leadership. David Beauregard said, In his analysis of the virtue of fortitude,
St. Thomas begins with the proposition that fortitude has to do with the passions of
Greek Women And Roman Women
Goddesses, Whores, Wives, and Slaves: Women in Classical Antiquity by Sarah B.
Pomeroy
The title of this book, Goddesses, Whores, Wives, and Slaves is written in order of
the ranking of women. In classical antiquity, in some aspects, a whore had more
freedom and rights than a married upper class woman. This alone is evidence of
the degree that women in classical antiquity were oppressed. Classical Greek
Athenian women and Roman women had similarities in their life styles and
expectations to become wives and mothers, but Roman women developed minor
freedoms throughout the duration of the empire that Greek Athenian women did
not possess. The only known exception to this are the women of Sparta, who had a
unique level of freedom in the Greek world. Roman and Greek women were both
under the protection of men, with their primary life goal being motherhood. (62, line
15. Find Roman citation here!) Greek women s marriageability was dependent on
their dowry, and a woman was obliged to marry the men selected by her guardian.
(64,line 4) However, in Roman society the women had more say in whom they
married. If the woman deemed the potential husband to be morally unfit, she could
deny the marriage. After their father and potential guardians passed away, a Roman
women could even select her own husband. (157,line 26). Throughout the duration of
marriage, Athenian women were expected to stay within the home, taking care of the
children and spinning her wheel. This seclusion was

Grief is a natural response to a major loss, though often deeply painful and can have a
negative impact on your life. Any loss can cause varied levels of grief often when
someone least expects it however, loss is widely varied and is often only perceived
as death. Tugendhat (2005) argued that losses such as infertility, miscarriage,

Describing Blake s Mythology In The Four Zoas
According to the definitions provided by Oxford Advanced Learner s Dictionary,
the lexeme myth is considered to be a story from ancient times, especially one that
was told to explain natural events or to describe the early history of a people or
something that many people believe but that does not exist or is false.
In this way, the ancient mythologies were considered to be figments of the collective
mind of people who were trying to explain themselves the world mechanisms calling
upon their imagination. Thus, for them, mythology was the key in explaining the
existence of the world they lived in.
Going further in time, the emergence of Christianity and the development of science
have modified people s old perception about the way in which the world functions as
a complex system. As a consequence, history advanced and mythology was ... Show

Describing Blake s mythology, we can rely on the concept of multi myths that
represent the fact that different views are put forward by individual speakers. This is
obvious in The Four Zoas in which the characters give contradictory perspectives of
the death of Albion. The myth is retold, thus, recreated and this act can reflect Blake
s view of the myth making process, being also an act that ensures the transition of
mythical stories from one generation to generation.
Such beliefs are mirrored in Milton and in The Marriage of Heaven and Hell: I was
in a Printing House in Hell saw the method in which / knowledge is transmitted from
generation to generation. (MHH 15:40)
According to Richard M. Dorson, the act of retelling stories is a relatively modern
view of mythography: that myths contain folktale elements and reflect the styles of
individual storytellers is a large step forward in comparative mythological study .

The Impact Of Employment Conditions On Occupation
The impacts of employment conditions on occupation fulfillment is that people
decide work fulfillment by looking at what they are getting from the occupation and
what they might want to or trust that they ought to get. For instance, if a worker is
accepting a yearly compensation of $35,000 and trusts that he or she ought to be
accepting a compensation of $30,000 than he or she will feel fulfillment; in any case,
if the worker trusts that he or she ought to get $40,000 than he or she will feel
dissatisfaction. This correlation would apply to every occupation aspect including:
aptitude level, position, limited time openings and supervision. The impacts of low
employment fulfillment can be extensive and this issue is of sympathy toward
independent company proprietors and also huge organizations. On the off chance that
workers are not content with their occupations, a few regions of their workare
influenced and their conduct can likewise influence different employees. When one
employee is hopeless doing their occupation, the majority of the other employees
they come into contact with will be influenced by their disposition. Unfortunately, if
you see somebody who is so clearly unhappy, it will have you wondering what is
wrong taking you away from what you need to be doing. Negative states of mind can
spread through a work environment like an out of control fire. Low occupation
fulfillment, combined with low representative assurance breaks even with an absence
of profitability

Colonel Pickering makes a bet with Mr. Higgins saying that he cannot teach her

Digestive System
The Digestive system:
The stomach related framework is comprised of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract
likewise called the stomach related tract and the liver, pancreas, and gallbladder. The
GI tract is a progression of empty organs participated in a long, bending tube from the
mouth to the butt. The empty organs that make up the GI tract are the mouth, throat,
stomach, small digestive system, internal organ which incorporates the rectum and

Why is digestion important?
Digestion is critical for separating nourishment into supplements, which the body

these littler particles through the dividers of the small digestive system into the

city is beset with a number of socio environmental problems. Traffic congestion,
flooding, solid waste disposal, black smoke from vehicular and industrial emissions,
air and noise pollution, and pollution of water bodies by industrial discharge.... With
the increasing growth in population the other variables for living like food, shelter
and demand for better roadways have increased in recent years. The main cause for
traffic congestion is the mismanagement of the government to regulate a healthy

Jellicle Cats Dance Essay
The dance piece Jellicle cats is an adaptation of the full dance price from the musical
Cats, which focuses on Jazz and acrobatic skills and techniques. The intention of the

choreography is for the dancer to symbolise sly cats. Each dancer is unique as they

The intention of the routine was achieved through the dance components and

meaning every dancer is synchronised and does the exact same choreography. This
shows that the cats are unified and close to each other, sorta like a pack. Another

MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING THEME OF LIES AND DECEIT
Lies and cheating is ever present in Much Ado About Nothing... but the characters
never expect it. This is one gullible crew.
Deception appears as the tool of villains to spread chaos and unhappiness. However,
it s also a device used by friends to improve each other s lives. Everyone from
scoundrels to nice daddy s girls to clergymen use deviousness so deception doesn t
come with a value judgment, it s neither absolutely good or absolutely bad. Whether
deception is okay or not depends on the intentions of the deceivers if the intention is
to promote happiness, then the deceiver is a good friend, but if the deceiver intends
harm, then he s a nasty jerk.
Questions About Lies and Deceit
1.Is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
All of the major plots are actually set in motion by the characters susceptibility to
suggestion. They only see what they want to, and they are no more misled than they
allow themselves to be.
Deception is inherently bad. It is used in this play to sometimes bring out positive
results, but those outcomes are actually artificial, and easily undone.
MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING THEME OF LOVE
Ah l amour.
Love in Much Ado About Nothing is a super complicated topic. First of all, none of
the characters explicitly seek love out love is always second to something else in this
play. Love might be the inadvertent result of hatred, or the incidental fact of marriage.
Though the play is about romance, the plot seems to highlight the fact that love is
only one of many factors that goes into a love affair. Love often comes with difficulty
or complication from outside circumstances (like a scheming villain), but it s just as
often thwarted by lovers themselves.
Questions About Love
1.How does loyalty in the play work as a kind of love? Which characters are loyal,
and to whom?
2.When Claudio says that he should ve known friendship wouldn t be able to stand
up to love (when he thinks that Don Pedro has stolen Hero from him), is he
projecting his own weak allegiances and inability to love both friends and
Thinking Outside The Idiot Box Analysis
Contemporary t.v. in today s society has taken up a vast amount of time in people s
life. People can spend hours in a day just watching t.v. mindlessly, however, is this
time spent watching t.v. making a person smarter? The television shows that people
watch today are a primary form of entertainment for a majority of America, along
with conveying information to viewers. For years now people have wanted dumb,
simple tv, but as the culture began to develop more cognitively people want complex
and intelligent television. Contemporary t.v. is an important aspect for people to gain
knowledge and information about the world, it doesn t matter whether information
comes from a t.v. series, a comedy news show or from a hard hitting formal... Show

Similar to what Dana Stevens is taking about in finding credibility in a television
like 24, Jason Zinser looks at this question in his article, The Good, the Bad, and
The Daily Show. . Zinser addresses both the benefits and downfalls of television,
but ultimately ends up taking a stand somewhere in the middle of how t.v. is both
good and bad for people. Zinser s believes that The Daily Show can be used as a
starting point from which people can gain an understanding of current events but it
s not the most useful way. He claims that this type of information people gain from
watching a comedy news show can be both useful but damaging. The question that
needs to be addressed though, is why does it matter where people are gaining their
knowledge about the world and critical events as long as they are gaining some
knowledge from what they re watching. As Zinser states, An informed public is the
grease that keeps democracy running properly. Although foreign and domestic issues
aren t settled by popular vote, an informed public wields great democratic power . It
doesn t matter whether information comes from a comedy news show or from a hard
hitting formal newscast, any information that a person gains from television is far
better than receiving no information at all, because if the public is informed about the
news in the world they have an understanding of it and could possibly make decision
about things
Canon Scarlet Letter
To the Tweed Trolls of the Ivy League schools, Although I don t feel I m qualified
to determine what deserves a place on your oh so high and mighty official canon
list, I am entitled to my own opinion, and that is what entitles me to make
suggestions toward changes in this ever changing, ever evolving canon list of
influential works of literature. I would like to point out four works that could be
removed from this list, that are either simply outdated, or uninteresting to current
generations, and will note books that have the same general theme to take their
place. In order to determine which books should be omitted, I asked my family
about their opinions on books I ve read that I didn t find interesting, and for

While The God of Small Things deals with social hierarchy and castes, as well as
the laws and customs of India, it can be very difficult to follow with the different
time periods. We read The God of Small Things in my sophomore English class as
well, and even met its author, Arundhati Roy at a conference in Madison. For me
the book tried too hard with symbolism, it overflowed with it. Too much
symbolism can muddle the book, and can sometimes be even better if it is stripped
bare to the basic meaning. To replace The God of Small Things I chose the
Divergent series. Although based on a fictional Chicago, Divergent parallels The
God of Small Things because it also has to deal with social hierarchy, although in
Divergent they were divided into factions rather than castes. The series deals with
many different aspects of personality, which also is a theme in The God of Small
Architecture Analysis
When humans described architecture common synonyms that they might use would
being design, building, planning, engineering, shape, color and more other words.
My definition of architecture is by using the combination of art and math. The
architect main goal to design a structure that is going to make the client comfortable.
In order to give the client what they need and what they have to be comfortable in the
space that the architectis planning for them. It s important for architects to know the
average measurement for thinks like the hallway, room, bathroom, etc. Knowing all
those measurement is where math comes to play. You have a piece of land and by
using math you have to measure out everything in order to organize how to fix
everything you need. Without coming to the client uncomfortable by having
everything to big or too small. No matter what you re dealing with if it s a house,
hotel, office buildingin order for an architectureto construct a functional and

That s been art comes to play. The art of architecture is what make a client in invest in
the structure. Having art gives the structured life. For the architect, their canvas is the
plot of land that they have to build. It s up to the architect to create the structure into
a masterpiece for the community. Is math is to make the structure safe and the art is

many ways and they all can be right. Architecture is a different language that only a

Bottle Rocket Lab
Introduction The purpose of this lab is to show how the quantity of wings effects
the height a 2 oz. bottle rocket launches into the air. The wings have a vital effect on
the flight of the rocket. The fins keep the rocket stabilized and going in the right
direction. The way that the fins do this is the same way that the feathers on an arrow
keep it flying straight. The increased dragon the back end of the fuselage of the
rocket, keeps the back end in the back.
Experimental Design
Will the number of fins effect how height the rocket flies into the air?
The independent variable is the number of wings
The dependent variable is how high the rocket flies
The control is the blank rocket launched by Mrs. Still
Hypothesis
If the number of fins stays at 3 (an average number) then the rocket will fly to its
ideal height, because too many fins would be too much drag on the back of the
rocket, while too few would not be enough to keep the rocket balanced.
Test Materials
2 1 tall 2 liter bottles
3 3 x5 fins
4.5 x8 tall, cone shaped capsule
15 x2 x2 parachute
2 wide black Duct Tape

300ml of water
A) Rocket Design

The amount of wings was an important piece of data, seeing as it was what the
whole paper was based around. Some weaknesses in our experimental design was
finding groups willing to help, because everyone wanted to do their own questions
and wanted the freedom of choice, rather than having to make a rocket by specific
standards. I feel that this could ve been helped if instead, the experimental question
was weight related, as that would imply more freedom to make the rocket how the
other groups wanted to make their
Naguib Mahfouz Fountain and Tomb Essay
In the novel Fountain and Tomb by Naguib Mahfouz, the reader is thrown into a
small alley in Cairo, Egypt in the 1920s. The narrator is an adult reliving his
childhood through many random, interesting vignettes of his youth. We learn about
many different aspects of Egyptian life from political rebellion, to arranged
marriages, to religious devotion, to gang warfare. We are led to conclude that one of
the major themes of the book is Truth. We come to question whether Truth is
something that alwaysneeds to be known. Will the Truth ultimately do more harm
than good? Is there ever a time when the Truth must be told? Are there times when it
s better for the Truth to never be known?
Truth is constantly sought out ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The story ends with the son supposedly helping his father pass away so he won t be
forced to return his fortune. This is a case where the father thought it was necessary
for the Truth to come out, but where did it leave his family? So we wonder, is the
Truth always the best thing to be told? Can it do more harm than good? In this case it
did. Truth only brought about more pain, conflict, and trouble than if it had not been
told.
When our narrator is conversing with Anwar Gilel on the fountain steps, Gilel has
made an astounding realization. I ve just realized that I m a student among competing
students in a school which throws together students from antagonistic little lanes, in
an alley in the middle of warring alleys, that I m a creature among millions of
creatures both seen and unseen on a ball of mud awhirl amid a solar system over
which I have no control, that this solar system is itself lost in endless space ... It
goes on and he asks the narrator whether the sun will come up tomorrow. I d take
bets on it, the lad answered. Gilel ends the argument by saying, Blessed are the
ignorant, for they are happy (Mahfouz, 115). Gilel also has realized that what people
don t know is sometimes better for them. It makes them feel better, safer, and happier.
And we wonder which is more important, knowing the Truth, or knowing enough of
the Truth to keep us satisfied with life and happy. In this story we notice that by
All Time Bulls Research Paper
For the past week or two, we ve been hearing about this debate about the All Time
Lakers against the All Time Bulls. Every basketball fan on social media has shared
their thoughts on this matchup of All Time teams. It s even gotten to the point where
Scottie Pippen and Shaquille O Neal went at it with each other via Instagram. All
Time Bulls Team that ll consist of Michael Jordanand Scottie Pippen taking on a
Lakers team that s stacked with nothing but Hall of Famers, is an intriguing
discussion but is it really a huge debate? If the two teams were to meet in let s say
a seven game series, would it even be close? Some think Chicago would win while
others believe that the Lakers would dominate and that I wouldn t be close. I m on

I mean you ll have Magic, who is a pass first point guard, dishing out to the likes of
Kobe, Shaq, West, and Kareem on top of keeping defenders on their heels. Bulls
would have to really figure out how to slow that down and I don t think Rose is
the guy to really do that. I do believe the Bulls have an advantage at the Small
Forward and Shooting Guard position. Yes Laker fans I would have to give the
edge to Pippen over Jerry West seeing Scottie was a lot more athletic and was
pretty good defensive player, while Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant are about
equal. They re very identical when you look at them on film but I give the
slightest of slight edge to Jordan on this one. The huge disadvantage comes in the
post where you have Kareem and Shaq for the Lakers and Horace Grant and
Dennis Rodman for the Bulls. Now offensively realistically the Lakers would have
an issue because A: Both Kareem and Shaq are centers and B: Both will clog up
likely clog up the post, but even with that Kareem and Shaq too much for Grant
and Rodman. Rodman would do whatever to grab rebounds and was a pretty good
defensive player while Grant was a solid starter on some pretty good teams but
when you re talking Kareem and Shaq, that s a tall task for the two offensively and
defensively. The bench is also a huge advantage for the Lakers where it s
Lance Armstrong And Steroid
The eight hour a day conditioning, the five a.m. workouts, the strict diet, the intense
focus, the missing out on important life milestones. These are all apart of the life of
a professional athlete. These careers take many years of impossible training and
dedication, but what if a pill could reduce the amount of time spent in the gym.
Throughout their careers, Lance Armstrong, Jose Canseco, and Marion Jones all used
personal enhancement devices to try and achieve the American Dream of personal
wealth and success, but ultimately lost all of their accomplishments due to laws
cracking down on steroid use. Steroids are often used to treat tissue damage or
inflammation, but they are also used illegally in professional sports. Sometimes the...

everyone on the team had used some kind of steroid. During his interview with
Oprah, Armstrong admitted that as the leader of the team, and the leader leads by

the leader of the team, many individuals looked up to Armstrong and when he
decided to use the drugs, they either did them with him or turned a blind eye. After
the series of affidavits, Lance was stripped of all seven Tour de Francetitles and
banned for life from elite competition (Lance Armstrong on Oprah Part 1). By losing
the Tour de France titles, he lost a part of his American Dream which was the
personal success. In addition, Armstrong also lost all of his sponsorships from many
companies including Nike, Nissan, and finally after several months Oakley also
dropped him. By losing his sponsorships, Armstrong also lost a projected 150 million
dollars in possible earnings. Currently Armstrong lives in Austin with his three
Future Of 3 Dimensional Printing
Future of 3 Dimensional Printing
Lets first define 3D printing:
In simple words, the technology that allows you to create a 3 Dimensional object
is known as 3 D printing. Now, this object can be designed by a number of
processes, one of which is to add layers one on top of the other and molding the
object to the shape you desire. The device used for this is commonly known as the
3D printer. The coolest thing about 3D printer is it can print another 3D printer. How
cool does that sound? Technology is at its pinnacle now and with the evolution of 3D
printing life is going to be much easier and fast paced. 3D printers have an
advantage of modeling any size an shape objects with minimum tools. This
technology evolved back in 1980 s ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Standard Tessellation Language is the most common extension used to load the
images the design to the 3D printer. Once the design is loaded into the printer, it
now molds the object by utilizing the plastic or rubber, and first makes layers. This
additive process of successive layers will lead to the object you desired. It is that easy
to print 3D objects.
Pros of 3D Technology:
With a lot of hype around 3D printing, lets see what makes it a disruptive technology.
Cost Efficient Technology: It is proven from studies that large scale companies have
already started using 3D printing technology over their conventional manufacturing
because 3D printing of their products turned out to be relatively cheaper. This makes
sense because why would someone go to a store to buy something when he can print
it by himself at his own home.
Minimal waste: Think about manufacturing of plastic toys or metal objects. Research
has found that up to 80% of the materials used in the process are wasted. This
definitely is not efficient use of resources. On the contrary, 3D printers not only
efficiently make use of materials but also are 50% lighter to their counterparts.
Less time taken: Lets take a very simple example. A small remote controlled toy car.
It takes anywhere between 2 3days to produce a fully functional remote controlled toy
car. With 3D printing, this can

How To Help People In Appalachian Culture
Researcher have spent time trying to develop ways to help people in the
Appalachian area to be able to get careers and help themselves. People from the
Appalachian area are more likely to seek help from their churches or their families,
before getting help from a stranger. The reason that people are unwilling to get help
from strangers is because, of the way that the culture is in the Appalachian area.
People who grew up in this area have strong ties in their churches and their
communities. They are really close with their family and their family is going to
come before anything else. People from this area are going to work for what the
family needrather than what they are interested in. They are also more likely to
distrust outsiders. They are not going to wantto go work for a company when the
owner is not from this area, and wants the workers to what they are used to doing
in a different way. With the way that people in the Appalachian area this can cause
some problems for career development. There is limited time for exposure to

Advantages Of Vertical Integration

  • 2. An Integration Center Of The Reflex Arc An integration center in the reflex arc is a neuropathway that creates a reflex action to activating neurons to skip the spinal cord and protect your brain. The nerve cells can be categorized by their connections, structure, and neurotransmitters. The structural classification is depending on shape and size of the cell body, its dendritic tree, axonlength, and the nature of the connections it makes. The neurons with one, two, or more than two neurites, are unipolar, bipolar, and multipolar respectively. Most of neurons in vertebrate nervous systems are multipolar, but there are significant exceptions. For illustration, bipolar neurons in the retina synapse with sensory neurons, and photoreceptors in the dorsal root ganglion are explained as pseudo unipolar as they begin life as bipolar cells but their two neurites fuse. The unipolar neurons dominate in invertebrates. Collaterals a small side branch, as of a blood vessel or nerve. A neuronal pool is a group of interconnected neurons with specific functions. A pool may be diffuse, involving neurons in several regions of the brain, or localized, with neurons restricted to one specific location in the brain or spinal cord. However, the proper function of the circuit of the stretch reflex also relies on convergence and divergence. A single sensory has multiple branches that diverge and make synaptic connections with many individual motor neurons. Therefore, when the muscle contracts as a result of the neurologist s tapper, it

Everywhere you turn there is a Disney creation. He has single handedly taken over the motion picture industry. He was very creative, funny, and imaginative. Walt Disney has lived a very interesting life full of adventure. Walt Disney was born in Chicago, Illinois on December 5, 1901 (Cole 9 10). His family had a small farm, and that is where he developed a love for animals (Cole 14). • 4. Analysis Of Dostoevsky And Kierkegaard s The Grand... What does it mean to have faith? This is not a question of, do you believe in the teachings of your religion, but what is a true believer. Dostoevsky and Kierkegaard are two philosophers that extensively delved with great contemplation and introspection of what it means to be a Christian. Both of these philosophers took a critical microscope to the typical Christian teachings of how to be a good Christian. What both of these philosophers eventually deduced is that the traditional teachings of Christianity remove the person from from ever truly finding the meaning behind their faith; thus separating the devoted from the divine. For both Dostoevsky and Kierkegaard, to be a Christian is more than going through the motions of what the church leaders tell you, but to find out for oneself why they ultimately believe. To convey his notions, Ivan, the main character of Dostoevsky s story, creates the character the Grand Inquisitor. The Grand Inquisitor is symbolic of the catholic church and the control they hold over the followers of Catholicism. In this story, the Grand Inquisitor is faced with Jesus Christ, whom has come back to earth for the second coming. In on particular instance, The Inquisitor challenges Christ by saying, Didst Thou forget that man prefers peace, and even death, to freedom of choice in the knowledge of good and evil? Nothing is more seductive for man than his freedom of conscience, but nothing is a greater cause of suffering (Dostoevsky, pg 12). To the
  • 5. Twelfth Night Madness Madness and foolishness make many appearances in Twelfth Night. Feste, the jester in count Olivia s house states in act 3 scene 1, foolery, sir, does walk about the ord like the sun; it shines everywhere. The first appearance of madness in the play is when Orsino, the Duke of Illyria, is reciting a poem about love. Orsino, instead of showing madness as insanity or a mental illness he shows it as mad with love. Some have made inferences that the images Orsino creates with the poem is him hallucinating. Orsino in scene 1 act 1 recites, If music be the food of love, play on; Give me excess of it, that, surfeiting, The appetite may sicken, and so die. • 6. Essay about A Speech About Tennis Shoes A speech about tennis shoes Respected Chair, distinguished guests of the day, and my dear friends, As you all know, Tennis is a well known game which has fans all over the world. Like the other components of the game, I strongly feel that tennis shoes are also important for the effective performance of a player in the court and there is no doubt that the latest designs and technologies make them really performance oriented. It is essential for the players to wear special shoes designed for tennis because ordinary running shoes would not work for them. I have learnt that running shoes are designed to facilitate forward motion exerting more stress on the feet and that they do not provide stability for the feet in sideways body movements ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Another difference is in the case of shoes for men and women. Smaller size men s shoes were used by women players in the past but tennis shoes specially designed for men and women are available now. Women s shoes could be distinguished by features like narrow heel area and a wider toe portion and shoes for men possess same width in the toe and heel areas (Trabert, Witchey amp; DeNevi 25). For Brown, inside and outside stability is the most important feature of a true tennis shoe. Tennis is a game which requires more side to side movements than the forward or backward motion and therefore choosing a shoe which supports controlled sideways movements would prevent the feet from rolling and thus help to prevent ankle sprains. There are tennis shoes of different weights, comfort levels and costs available to tennis players and it is always to go for the light weight shoes if it satisfies all other requirements (Brown xiv). Therefore it is understood that different types of tennis shoes are available in order to suit specific purposes. Special tennis shoes are available even for kids to play tennis. Specially designed shoes for tennis facilitate balanced and easy sideways movement for the feet and exertion of lesser force on the joints. Tennis players can make a choice among the large variety of shoes available for them
  • 7. The Mission Chapel Essay Martin Lawag Roger Hall Hist 119 May 15, 2012 La Purisima A.) The mission chapel is beautiful. The beauty of this chapel can compare to the Santa Barbara one. They both are bright in color. When in the chapels I get a warm feeling. Old artwork. Kind of built like an ancient style building. Candles light up the room. B.) The natives daily duties consisted of mixing mud with straws to make adobe bricks to build. The Spanish soldiers lived a more foreign like lifestyle because the mission and their teachings were rather new to the natives. Some natives were blacksmiths and would build and repair the tools of Spanish society. Gradually, Chumash stone implements gave way to iron and steel. The Natives also lived by three basic laws. ... The natives were accomplished traders that had a monetary system based on beads and seashells. Natives lived a hunter gatherer to an agricultural based one under the tutelage of the Spanish system. Natives also created currency from seashells that have been found up and down the coast of California. C.) Earthquakes had affected La Purisima in a major way. So major, the natives had to relocate the original site from just outside of Lompoc, Ca. The natives refused to return to the original site, so the missions father decided to relocate to an area called La Canada de los Berros, a little further from Lompoc, about four miles north. The fathers rebuilt the Mission but decided to put the buildings in a straight line instead of the normal square shape since it would be more difficult for the buildings to damage each other if they fell during another earthquake. La Purisima is the only Mission not to follow the quadrangle shape of the rest of the Missions. La Canada de los Berros means The Canyon of the water cress , this new site had several advantages: a better water supply, a better climate, and a closer and safer access to El
  • 8. The Client Of A Mental Health Facility The Client s Right To Die A client that has expressed he has been suffering from severe bipolar disorder and his quality of life is so compromised by his illness that he logically and rationally chooses suicide, should be involuntary admitted to a mental health facility. As a counselor for the client it is ethically necessary to try to minimize harm where it is foreseeable and unavoidable (3.04, American Psychological Association, 2002). Subsequently, petitioning to have the client admitted to a mental health facility will serve as a means of trying to minimize harm to the client. According to Illinois law the client is a candidate for involuntary admission to a mental health facility because due to his illness he is reasonably expected to engage in dangerous conduct which places him in harm (405 ILCS 5/1 119). According to Illinois law, as a counselor of at least 18 years of age for the client and who has direct knowledge of the client s desire to harm himself, I would present a petition for admittance to a mental facility to the facility director (405 ILCS 5/3 601). The petition would include the descriptions of client s symptoms of bi polar disorder such as his reports of terrifying and tormenting episodes of depressive psychosis as well as his feelings of helplessness and hopelessness. Most important, the petition would also include his announcement that he has decided to commit suicide, rather than fight his recurrent mental illness. In addition to the reasons

My grandparents decided to surprised me with a trip going to Scotland, London, then Paris. When this happened I was overjoyed because I was going to be able to see my cousins and one was getting married when we were there. This trip was a two week trip from Aug. 31 to July 12. Before we left, my mom gave me a visa gift card so I would able to buy stuff. I went to go use it and I noticed that I could only use it in the USA. When we got there, we got settled in at our familys place. The first night we had fish and chips on the shore of the North Sea. The first day we arrived there it was a lazy and went to go look at shops and shop. When we shopped we shopped for hours. My second cousin was getting married when we were there so we were there for her. They had their wedding by the North Sea. The weather for the wedding was perfect, but it rained when we were walking to the after party where we had a fun time. On the wedding day, my third cousin, named Hannah, did my hair for the wedding. During the wedding all of the males in the wedding wore kilts. We walked around in four different castles in Scotland and they all looked very similar. The castle I liked the best was the one in Inchcolm. When we were there my papa could not wait for bangers and mash. When we were shopping and walking around Edinburgh we saw Scottish bagpipe player. After all of this which was a week we went to London. The first night

Picasso depicts turmoil, people and animals suffering, with building in disarray torn apart by violence and mayhem. Pomeroy The title of this book, Goddesses, Whores, Wives, and Slaves is written in order of the ranking of women. In classical antiquity, in some aspects, a whore had more freedom and rights than a married upper class woman. This alone is evidence of the degree that women in classical antiquity were oppressed. Classical Greek Athenian women and Roman women had similarities in their life styles and expectations to become wives and mothers, but Roman women developed minor freedoms throughout the duration of the empire that Greek Athenian women did not possess. The only known exception to this are the women of Sparta, who had a unique level of freedom in the Greek world. Roman and Greek women were both under the protection of men, with their primary life goal being motherhood. (62, line 15. Find Roman citation here!) Greek women s marriageability was dependent on their dowry, and a woman was obliged to marry the men selected by her guardian. Describing Blake s Mythology In The Four Zoas According to the definitions provided by Oxford Advanced Learner s Dictionary, the lexeme myth is considered to be a story from ancient times, especially one that was told to explain natural events or to describe the early history of a people or something that many people believe but that does not exist or is false. In this way, the ancient mythologies were considered to be figments of the collective mind of people who were trying to explain themselves the world mechanisms calling upon their imagination. Thus, for them, mythology was the key in explaining the existence of the world they lived in. Describing Blake s mythology, we can rely on the concept of multi myths that represent the fact that different views are put forward by individual speakers. This is obvious in The Four Zoas in which the characters give contradictory perspectives of the death of Albion. The myth is retold, thus, recreated and this act can reflect Blake s view of the myth making process, being also an act that ensures the transition of mythical stories from one generation to generation. Such beliefs are mirrored in Milton and in The Marriage of Heaven and Hell: I was in a Printing House in Hell saw the method in which / knowledge is transmitted from generation to generation. The Impact Of Employment Conditions On Occupation The impacts of employment conditions on occupation fulfillment is that people decide work fulfillment by looking at what they are getting from the occupation and what they might want to or trust that they ought to get. For instance, if a worker is accepting a yearly compensation of $35,000 and trusts that he or she ought to be accepting a compensation of $30,000 than he or she will feel fulfillment; in any case, if the worker trusts that he or she ought to get $40,000 than he or she will feel dissatisfaction. This correlation would apply to every occupation aspect including: aptitude level, position, limited time openings and supervision. The impacts of low employment fulfillment can be extensive and this issue is of sympathy toward independent company proprietors and also huge organizations. On the off chance that workers are not content with their occupations, a few regions of their workare influenced and their conduct can likewise influence different employees. When one employee is hopeless doing their occupation, the majority of the other employees they come into contact with will be influenced by their disposition. Unfortunately, if you see somebody who is so clearly unhappy, it will have you wondering what is wrong taking you away from what you need to be doing. Negative states of mind can spread through a work environment like an out of control fire. Zinser s believes that The Daily Show can be used as a starting point from which people can gain an understanding of current events but it s not the most useful way. He claims that this type of information people gain from watching a comedy news show can be both useful but damaging. The question that needs to be addressed though, is why does it matter where people are gaining their knowledge about the world and critical events as long as they are gaining some knowledge from what they re watching.
