Mies Van Der Rohe Concept Of Architecture
What is life? Exploring Mies van der Rohe s concept of architecture as a life process From his popular
motto less is more to his concept of architecture as the spatially apprehended will of the epoch , the
aphorisms of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe (1886 1969) remain one of his most memorable legacies.
Despite being less well known, other such statements promoted by Mies are also important to clarify
the philosophy that sustained his works. This paper investigates one of these less known yet highly
revealing statements: Building art is only understandable as a life process . Considering the broader
context of Mies s discourse, philosophical readings, and architectural projects, this paper argues that
Mies used the term life process to refer to a larger changing reality that united the material and the
spiritual realms of life. According to Mies, the recognition of this material spiritual unity ... Show

Mies continued to promote both this project and this concept of architecture later on, such as in the
seminal monograph that accompanied his solo exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in New York
in 1947. He also reaffirmed this concept during a talk at the Architectural League of New York around
1960. Towards the end of this talk, Mies received the following comment: I m not sure what we ve
been talking about all evening ... I d like to know what your definition of architecture might be ... I m
sure your definition would be better than almost anyone s here . Mies replied, I ll tell it in German. It

Companies are required to satisfy the customer by providing appropriate services and value added for
customers. A strong commitment to quality service and customer oriented is a major prerequisite in
supporting business success. Implementation of the upcoming open sky policy, all international
airlines that had allowed only airlines serving the route point to point in Indonesia, such as; Lufhansa,
Cathay Pacific and Singapore Airlines will be able to freely serve the domestic flight routes directly to
become a threat that must be anticipated by the national airline industry in Indonesia through the
creation of competitive advantage. International airlines have a good competitive advantage and very
concerned about the quality of service and customer satisfaction and supported by various recent fleet

comfortable waiting room arrival and departure, transfer, seat cabin, cabin cleaning, supply dipesawat

How Is Genesis 1-11 Related To Sociology
1. Genesis 1 3
On the sixth day of creation, God created Adam and gave him total dominion over the Garden of
Eden. After a period of time, God realized that it was not good for Adam to remain alone in the
Garden, and therefore created Eve from Adam s ribs. God allowed Adam and Eve to dwell in the
Garden of Eden but commanded that they did not eat from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and
Evil. However, a serpent later persuades Eve to pick an apple from the Tree, who then offers it to
Adam. God becomes very angry and casts them out from the Garden of Eden. The classical Disney
movie, Snow White, alludes to Adam and Eve. In the movie, an innocent and pure girl named Snow
White is offered a poisonous apple by a wicked witch. The witch claims that the apple was magical
and had the power to grant Snow White a wish. Snow White becomes convinced and takes a bite from
the apple, causing her to fall into a deep slumber. Both the serpent and witch used the art of
temptation, sin, and greed to lure their foe into committing wrong things.

Cain, the older sibling, is a farmer, while Abel is a shepherd. As offerings, Abel offers his most prized
possession, the calf, to God while Cain offers some leftover wheat that he had grown that year. When
God accepts Abel s offering and declines Cain s, Cain becomes filled with anger and kills Abel. John
Steinbeck s East of Eden, alludes to the story of Cain and Abel. In the book, Adam Trask has two
children named Cal and Aron, whose names are very similar to Cain and Abel . Adam clearly favors
Aron over Cal just as God favored Abel over Cain. When Adam refuses to accept Cal s gift of
$15,000, Cal become infuriated and kills Aron by making him join the army. In both stories, a murder
occurred due to jealous

The Pan African Consciousness
I know no national boundary where the Negro is concerned. The whole world is my province until
Africa is free (Garvey). These words by Marcus Garvey perfectly illustrate the spirit of unification that
characterized the attitude of many people of African Descent as a direct result of the callous treatment
that Africa as a whole suffered at the hands of Europeans. Europe not only ravished Africa of a
significant resource in the millions of lives that it stole and enslaved. Europe also pillaged the
continent with the brutal institution of colonization. The manacles of colonization inspired great
suffering in the lands and lives of Africans examples include Land exploitation, labor exploitation and
most significantly exploiting the minds ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is at this point that Cesaire argues the permanent malnutrition is introduced. This production of cash
crops led to famine in the lands of The Congo and thusly caused permanent damage in the lives of the
colonized. This damage led to the aspect of the Pan African movement that celebrated Africa. One
very important idea pushed by Marcus Garvey, who is known as the father of the Pan African
Movement, is that Africa was the ancestral home and spiritual cradle of all African descended peoples,
the scene of past and future glory ( Lynch 31). Garvey thought it was very important that the continent
be freed from tyrannous European imperialist grasp (Lynch 31). The ideas that Garvey postulated
about Africa were founded in the consequences of Europe s misuse of the land.
Another way that European colonization caused harm to Africans is through labor exploitation. Death,
taxation, and torture were tools used to enforce labor policies. After Europeans confiscated African
land, they proceeded to charge Africans taxes to inhabit the land. They charged the taxes in a manner
that required Africans to work for Europeans in order to pay. The railway line in The Congo, Ivory
recovery, cash crop cultivation and rubber extraction were all tasks performed by Africans. Africans
most often worked without pay. Europeans however made

Luna woke to a loud thud. She got out of her bed, worried about what she might see.
She went to the door, carefully opening it keeping her horn ready. On the other side of the door was
the last thing she expected to see. She saw a mailmare.
I have a letter for you, the mare said.
Thank you Luna grabbed the letter with her magic. Do you have any idea who sent it.
Nope. Some pony gave me this on the street and told me to give it to you; that s all I know.
Are you sure you don t remember anything.
Yes. I wasn t exactly paying much attention when she hoofed it to me. I m, sorry princess.

It was terrible blemish on her past. The country got her banished by her own sister and now. Now the
country was calling her to be its leader.
Her first thought was to tell Celestia right away. She needed to find out what her sister thought of it
the proposal, but then she started having seconds thoughts. Celestia would never allow her return to go
back there. Why would she ever let her return? It had destroyed their friendship. There was no way
she could tell Celestia about this.
At the same time, Celestia was her sister, and Luna couldn t let something as important as this go
untold. It was a terrible conundrum. She felt like neither solution was right.
It also crossed her mind that she could ignore the letter completely, but what if the ponies needed her.
They went all the way to Equestria to send a letter to her. Luna couldn t leave those ponies out to dry.
Luna weighed the odds. She could tell her sister about the letter, but that could reopen past wounds, or
she could ignore the letter and forget she ever got it. If she ignored it Celestia would eventually find
out.
Finally, she decided she would have to talk to her sister eventually, and decided to go ahead and get it
over with.
She went to Celestia s room. She prepared herself for a hard conversation. There was no way Celestia
would take the news lightly.
She walked to Celestia s door and knocked. No pony answered. Luna was surprised. She didn t

My Family Are Having A Wonderful Christmas Season !
Hey there Gina, I hope you and your family are having a wonderful Christmas season! I was going
though a bin of old photos a while ago and found some photos of your baptism, I thought I d give
them to you in case you didn t get a copy, or if you did and they got lost or something. As for the
book... Well a few months ago I was looking at deals in the kindle store in the Christian section, and
after reading the introduction chapter within the book, I was encouraged and impressed so I bought the
kindle version for myself for a couple of dollars. I was reading it a few weeks ago, and was like, Wow,
the content here is so good! I should totally get a couple of copies to give to some of the moms that I
know who have their hands full with young ones. And anyways, you were one of the people I thought
of I think I had watched the video of Wesley frustrated with writing the letter B a few days before, so
that might explain it. Haha. I remember during a sermon hearing the pastor say that 10% of the words
that Jesus used in the gospels were direct quotes form the scriptures (the old testament), I say that
because one of the reasons I find Treasuring Christ When Your Hands Are Full to be so encouraging is
because it seems to me (from what I ve read so far) that about 50% of the words that Gloria uses are
direct quotes from scripture. It s rare for me to find a book so encouraging, and that illuminates my
heart to the word of God, books like this only seem to come along every few

European Economics Since The Single European Act
If the Euro fails, then not only the currency fails... Europe will fail, and, with it, the idea of European
unity. Merkel s words preclude the diminishing consensus within European Union, no matter the
attempts to solidify support within Europe. The 2008 Eurozone crisis has lead to distrust and unease in
Europe. The Treaty of Lisbon (2009) was the re organisation of the European Union policy making
structure after the pillar formation of the Treaty of Maastricht (1993). The Treaty of Lisbon, no matter
how triumphantly proclaimed to the people, has given increasing control to the European Parliament
and other intergovernmental bodies, and less in the hands of the states or the people. This, coupled
with dissatisfaction of the EU and an ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
An economic downturn followed in the 1990s, and the Maastricht Treaty was seen as the response, to
create a single market, monetary union and a common foreign and security policy . This was meant to
create a spill over into other, weaker areas of the economy, helping all who were a part of it . The
European Monetary Union (EMU) (1999) was a direct result of the Maastricht Treaty, leading the way
for the Euro in 1999 . It was widely believed a common currency and shared markets would create a
stronger place in the global economy, one that could potentially rival that of the United States . The
proposed Eurozone demanded several criteria to be fulfilled by its potential member states before it
could be created in 1998. This included: annual fiscal deficits no greater than 3% of GDP,
accumulated government debt no greater than 60% of GDP, inflation no more than 1.5% higher than
the average rate of the three least inflationary European members, and long term interest rates no more
than 2% higher than these same three . However, by 1997, only Luxembourg and Finland met the
criteria . By May 1998, 11 countries joined, three met the criteria but declined to join, and only Greece
was ineligible . The EMU was organized to accommodate diversity in financial and economic policy
making, however merging both financial and economic policies was

Scenario 3: Letter Formation Drills Letters don t have to be precise and artistic; they should be fairly
constant and readable. They should not float like a balloon or sink below the line and should be
formed from the top and not the bottom. Practice forming letters with letter formation drills promotes
reading and writing for all children. Children with a visual impairment may have the materials
modified. Use brightly colored pens with a black contrasting paper. Enlarge all workbook pages and
lined paper, double lines work well for children with visual impairment. For children with epilepsy
traditional approaches need to be modified. Some student struggle with motor skills as a result of their
epilepsy and they are especially vulnerable to inattention and work incompletion. Further breaking
down the letters into simpler steps has been proven to promote writing skills in a child with epilepsy.
A few easy steps can be taken to ensure the classroom is suitable for hearing impaired students. When
possible, turn off equipment that creates background noises, such as fans and projectors, when not in
use. Eliminating extra noise helps students with hearing impairments focus on the class lecture and
assignments. Remember that hearing aids amplify every sound, including tapping pencils and air
conditioners. Area rugs and heavy curtains can also eliminate a great deal of extraneous noise.

The first disease I picked for my disease diary journal is Eczema. I chose this specific disease because
my sister has a very bad case of it and it was also part of the Integumentary System (The unit we

had such good luck, but however they did find out some factors of why it happens,
Climate/Environment, Genetics, and problems with the Integumentary System. The climate and
environment is a big factor of the disease because the cold makes it worse, the skin will crack and
bleed for being too dry. The next problem is family genetics, the patient could have gotten eczema due
to a family member who has the disease or it could even be an allergy. The last way you could get

Ideally for a Lineweaver Berk plot a positive linear slope is obtained and the Vmax and KM values are
obtained by putiing them equal to 1/y intercept and 1/x intercept respectively. However a positive
linear slope was not obtained, but a negative mostly linear slope, with one value skewing the data. In
order to calculate the Km and Vmax correctly a positive linear slope is needed, however as this is a
negative slope, it essentially flips the positive slope 90° Anti clockwise, resulting in the x and y
intercept being in different positions. A negative Km value of 0.0045 was obtained and the vmax was
found to 3.082. These values are incorrect for the experiment due to the negative slope. A negative
slope may have been obtained due to inaccurate make up of the original solution, possibly an error in
calculation but this shows that extreme attention to detail is required throughout all aspect of
experiments. A positive result for a Lineweaver Burk plot has been included for

One of the earliest forms of propaganda created, as well as one of the most recognizable to the general

(Nazi party). According to the USHMM s article on the History of the Swastika, it was not always

A potent symbol intended to elicit pride among Aryans, the swastika also struck terror into Jews and
others deemed enemies of Nazi Germany.
This was the first classification and division created by the Nazis that had begun the process of
genocide. This was a crucial first step in ruling out the Jews as part of the Aryan race, and it only got
easier to further separate the Jews into us and them categories.
Stage two is symbolization, where names or other such symbols are given to the classifications. In his
examination of step two, Stanton mentions that, We name people Jews ... or distinguish them by colors
or dress; and apply the symbols to members of groups... [and] when combined with hatred, symbols
may be forced upon unwilling members of pariah groups: the yellow star for Jews under Nazi rule
This symbol, the Star of David, was a religious symbol used throughout Judaism. However, under
Nazi rule it became a symbol of labeling and a cause for separation. As one can see, symbols were a
large part of propaganda. The swastika was uses to represent the Nazi party, while the Star of David
was used to identify and represent the Jewish people residing in Germany. And like the Nazi s twisted
the true meaning of the Swastika to fit their means of representing racial purity, they also twisted the
religious meaning of the Star of David to something as derogatory as labeling individuals they deemed
lesser than themselves.

Dating From The Dynastic Period Of Egypt
Dating from the Dynastic Period of Egypt (3000 2938 BCE), the Narmer Pallet is one of the most
important archeological findings to date. Previous to king Narmer, Lower and Upper Egypt were
divided and frequently at war with each other. The common belief of most historians is that the
unification of Lower and Upper Egypt was due to the influence and propaganda of King Narmer and
his court. On one side of the palette, king Narmer is pictured with the bulbed white crown of Upper
Egypt, while on the other side, it portrays the king wearing the crown of Lower Egypt, the papyrus.
Illustrating one of the earliest known characterizations of an Egyptian king, the palette has be referred
to as the first historical document in the world by Egyptologist Bob Brier. Historians regard King
Narmer as the king who unified Lower and Upper Egypt, and thus the father of the Early Dynastic
Period. Carved from a single piece of dark gray green siltstone, the Narmer Palette is shield shaped
and stands at about 63 centimeters tall. In the past, the stone has often been misidentified as being a
slate or schist. Slate is layered and prone to flaking, while schist is a metamorphic rock containing
large, unevenly distributed mineral grains. Both slate and schist are unlike the finely grained siltstone,
which was used continuously during the pre dynastic period for creating palettes, and also was used as
a source for Old Kingdom statuary art. The Palette, which has survived five millennia in almost

Modern Thesis Paper
During the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, changes in the dynamics of society caused intellectuals
to question the traditions of everyday life. From religious views to the arts of literature, traditional
values and forms were rejected, thus defining a line between the two time periods, which can be
considered as the start of the Modern era. Also known as Modernism, the modern era used literature as
an outlet for expressing the thoughts and feelings of the time. Modern texts use city life,
industrialization and globalization, and ironic and satirical themes to showcase their bleak outlook on

shifted from the outward world to inner thoughts and feelings and overall representation of an

experience has shaped my life and calling tremendously. In fact I have stated many times that I wished
I would have kept a daily journal of all the things the Lord has done in my life since I became a
believer. But, as you will see as you read this paper, after becoming a Christian, and having now been
saved for almost 13 years, I can look back and see the sovereign hand of the Almighty working
throughout my life. I did not come to know Christ until December of 2003 at the age of 25 at First
Baptist Church of Gordonsville Tennessee. As a young boy, I had a desire to know GOD, and had
even made a profession of faith, but never had anyone ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
My thinking was this: we could go to boot camp and if we did not like the Corps then, in the reserves,
we would only have to serve one weekend a month. I wanted to hang on to those old things and people
in my life. But GOD had a better plan for me. When I introduced my idea to Scott, he said, no , if we
are going to do it, let s do it , and my exact response was, then let s do it . And so we did. We signed
the dotted line making a commitment for 4 years of active duty service in the infantry of the USMC.
We left our home town in November of 1997. Little did I know, even in my lost state, the Sovereign
hand of GOD was working in my life. The Lord knew that I not only needed to get out of my home
town, and away from my old friends, He knew I also needed to get away from Scott, and in just a
matter of days I would be separated from him as well. Within a week or so Scott would suffer a leg
injury and eventually be separated from the Marine Corps. While at boot camp in Paris Island South
Carolina I once again started to desire GOD in my life. I began to read my Bible and pray. At that time
I also began to think about what I would want in a wife. As I did, I realized that a young lady that I
had been dating prior to joining the Marine Corps was the woman I wanted to call my wife. When
boot camp graduation day finally came I immediately went home and asked that girl to marry me, she
said YES! We set a date, and then just a few days later I left and went off to the School of

My Last Day On Earth Essay
You never know when your last day on Earth will be, make the best out of everyday. My mother told
my brother and I the night before tragedy struck. I went to bed on that quiet night in May; woken up
by a terrible and heartbreaking nightmare. The nightmare was composed of my cousin, Travis, dying
in a car crash. Staying awake for ten more minutes to receive a phone call that my nightmare has
become a reality. Being only 14 years old, I couldn t quite grasp the idea that my best friend, my other
brother, and my big cousin has just left all of us forever. For the next 5 years of my life, I applied my
mothers saying, you never know when your last day on Earth will be, make the best out of everyday to
everything I did/do. Travis would have never known his last day on Earth would be May 21st, 2012,
only 19 years old. Life can be taken away from us in split second; so why don t we live each day like
its our last? Why do people take love and life for granted? Sadly, it takes tragedy to make people
realize that tomorrow is not granted.
I was six years old when Travis moved out of our house. Thinking he was my brother until then, I was
surprised when my mom said, Tell your cousin bye, Brookie. . Since the day he moved out, he
continued to be my very best friend. Calling him every night, upset about family issues, school work,
the fight I had with my friend that day, he was there for me every single night getting me through it
all; then as soon as my life got much more hard,

Everyone Should Be Able To Vote Essay
Voting with Electronic Voting Machines
The states should be allowed to use electronic voting machines. They are not necessarily easier than
paper ballots but the result can be back quicker than using the old fashion paper ballots.
Understanding that new technology is not always the way to go, but to use them in your city to see
how the citizens like them is definitely a way to go. Being able to give your citizens the choice with
which they would rather vote with, either a paper ballot, or an EVMs is a good idea knowing what
they think is the right way to vote and that they can vote that way.
Using new technology is a good thing with all of it improving in today s society. The electronic voting
machines are easy for all people to use, including, people with disabilities and who can not stand long
by having hand held devices , as stated in Everyone Should Be Able to Vote. They have an
advancement by having different languages for the citizen who is voting to choose from so they can
vote in their most fluent language, instead of having to translate the information for them. It is very
convienent for the machines to have audio and voice systems for people with reduced vision , stated in

Title Search, what s in a name?
A title search is a way to prove who is selling the property and if they really have the right to sell it. It
s important for the buyer as it ensures and confirms what is being bought and
HSH 5 sold. Performing the title search is a part of most real estate transactions. There are steps
involved in a title search that examine the different pieces needed to prove ownership and allow for
the sale of property. Steps of researching and verifying chain of title, taxes, possession reports,
judgment, name searches and commitment are used to navigate the title search and verification. These
steps are not involved in renting and therefor can act as another motivation in favor of buying with a
sense of security instead of gambling on the landlords/companies word that the property is theirs to
offer.
When these searches have been completed, and the financial outcomes have been weighed the time to
decide whether to rent or buy awaits.

medical advancements as we entered the new century. The Internet allows us to shop, talk, and find
valuable information on very scarce topics, and even check stocks with a simple click of a button.
Medical advancements had recently been discovered on The Human Genome Projects, the first gene
was mapped and within a short period of time we will have mapped out all the genes in a human
chromosome. This is absolutely amazing because we will now be able to reveal the many causes of
serious deadly diseases. Throughout the years, we have gained the technology to send astronauts into

Brahe did not trust Kepler and worried that Kepler would surpass him and become more well known
than him. So Brahe assigned him the job of understanding the orbit of Mars because it gave Brahe
much difficulty, and would keep Kepler occupied while Brahe worked on his theory of the solar
system. Brahe also kept other data from Kepler hoping that he would be the one to discover the orbits
of the planets before Kepler did. In 1601, when Brahe died Kepler received all of Brahe s data.
Whether he obtained this data legally or not is still in debate today, however, it is fortunate that he
obtained this data. (Silverberg, 160)
When Kepler first began his work on the orbit of Mars he was under the assumption, as many
scientists were, that the planetary orbits were circular, and that the Sun was at the center of the orbits.
This type of system is called a heliocentric system. Also at this time only six planets were known.
When Kepler obtained Brahe s data he discovered that the orbits were not perfect circles, but instead
were ellipses that were only slightly flattened. The reason nobody else realized this was because the
orbits were so slightly elliptical that extensive investigation and data would be needed to show this. It
also turned out that the reason the orbit of Mars was very difficult to understand was because its orbit
was more eccentric than the other planets that Kepler and Brahe had data about. To understand a lot of
Kepler s work you must first

The Goals Of Making Life Worth Living
In the society, there are some laurel people, there are some people having lifetime of hardships, but
did not get anything substantial. There are also people living without wondering about the purpose of
life, like the ship into the sea does not determine what direction it goes. Then there are people intent
with very great thoughts but end up with very small business. Success or failure depends on so many
reasons, which mainly features is purpose . Therefore Socrates has stated: the unexamined life is not

Presentation of Research Proposal
Turn Taking Management for Multimodal Dialogue Systems
Introduction
Natural dialogue involves the management of many communicative resources in a complex activity.
Participants in a conversation transmit information, agree and disagree between each other, monitor
the communicative status of their messages, make decisions about non linguistic actions and, among
other things, they deal with social conventions about who is to talk and when. Conversations are joint
actions in which participants individually perform coordinated activities (Clark, 1996). It is quite
illustrative the metaphor proposed by Clark about dialoguing as dancing waltz. Each individual action
is coordinated in a choreographic way with the actions of the other person. How and when to talk is
learned since childhood, it is known that face to face conversation is the matrix of language
acquisition. It is common to listen parents telling to kids when is expected from them to talk (for
instance, they motivate responses if a question, an order or a hello was expressed, they show when is
expected to say thank you or you are welcome ). For the last twenty years, various efforts have sprung
from the interest to develop annotation models that reflect the diverse ways in which participants
behaviors contribute to conversation (Ahrenberg, et al., 1995; HCRC, Carletta, et al., 1996; DAMSL,
Allen Core, 1997). These tagging schemes are based on dialogue act annotation. They differ from each

Analysis Of Interstellar
Interstellar (2014), directed by Christopher Nolan and co written by Jonathan Nolan, is an epic science
fiction film that depicts extreme measures that one would pursue for love. The film questions how far
a man is willing to go in order to achieve safety for his family. Cooper (Matthew McConaughey)
exemplifies that without a proper plan, he is still willing to push his own limits. Interstellar depicts the
theme of a father s love through the music score, the plot structure, the dialogue, the dynamic between
man and machine, the setting, and the symbolism. Hans Zimmer s unique music score in Interstellar
brings out the intensity and drama to the playing field and allows the audience to grip what Cooper
actually does for his daughter Murph (Mackenzie Foy). Some of Hans Zimmer s most important songs
in Interstellar are Coward and No Time for Caution. The emotional base for the song Coward is the
cold and empty space of the whole universe. This song portrays how scary and intense leaving planet
Earth is, and Cooper s raw love for his children for whom he did this whole mission for. Coward is
introduced in the scenes involving Dr. Mann (Matt Damon). Mann is viewed as a surprising enemy in
Cooper s eyes after he intentionally cracks his space helmet. As Cooper is grasping for air to survive,
his willingness to survive for his daughter allowed him to escape the situation with the help of Dr.
Brand (Anne Hathaway) and other scientists. Flashbacks between Cooper and

Labile Surfacess
Purpose of the Research
The purpose of this research study was to name the degree of modulating influence of the type of
surface used stabile or labile on the mechanics of the abdominal wall. Recent interest in stability
training for lower back injuries has brought attention the utilization of labile, or movable, surfaces
which challenge the motor control system. Studies have shown that the abdominal muscles play an
extremely important role in maintaining optimal spine stability. The study was enacted primarily
because there is very little known about the modulating effects of these types of surfaces on muscle
activity. In order for physical therapists to incorporate rehabilitative exercises of this nature into
patient treatment plans, it is clinically necessary for the effects of using labile surfaces in stability
exercises to be fully understood.
Subjects and Methods
The subjects involved in this research study included eight men who participated voluntarily. The
mean age of the population was 23.3 years with a standard deviation of 4.3, the mean height was

quadrupled. In each of the four exercises, it was concluded that the rectus abdominis muscle was

showed that the upper region was most active in Task D, and the lower region was most active in Task

Why Sexist Dress Codes Chick For Everyone Analysis
Throughout the article, Why Sexist Dress Codes Suck For Everyone written by Emily Lindin, argues
why dress codes hurt everyone. Lindin is a very acclaimed and credible author who has written many
pieces for Teen Vogue, along with a memoir about her experience with bullying, which later became a
documentary. Lindin targets teen girls throughout most of her pieces, on the idea that girls should not
be punished for the way they dress. This controversial article was published in Teen Vogue magazine
in May 2016. Lindin s article argues that school dress codes not only affect girls, but also gives guys a
disadvantage as well. Lindin starts off her argument by giving her opinion on dress codes not only in

By telling the story of the girl, who was being made fun of because her stomach showing and being

Another part of Lindin s argument that uses pathos is towards the very end where she persuades the
readers to take a stand for girl s right to wear what they want. Let s use our voices and our actions to
make it clear that we are people not distractions (INTEXT). By using quotes that made the reader feel
as if they should do something is an excellent way of persuading the reader. Lastly, Lindin uses pathos
when talking about how dress codes are put into place for boys, so they do not become distracted
throughout the school day. The justification most often given for gender specific dress codes is that
without them, these poor boys will be distracted by their classmates bodies (INTEXT). By using this
Lindin is able to persuade the reader into yet another reason why dress codes are sexist towards

Slacking College Students
These days it s hard to find a good paying career without at least an associate s degree. This leads
many people to college. People are different, and although they all came with the same goal they
pursue it differently. College students can be organized into these three groups slackers, average
students, and the overachievers. The first group are slackers, and like the name suggests the slack off
in all things school related. They most likely don t have a clear goal for going because of this they
aren t worried about absences. In fact, they barely show up to class. They aren t worried about their
grades because they aren t trying to achieve anything special. Slackers never study, and if they re

Embodiment In The Veldt
Bradbury utilizes the veldt as an embodiment in the short story, The Veldt, to warn the audience that
excessive admiration and dependence on technology will ultimately lead to physical and
psychological damages on the development of humans. The future that Bradbury constructs around
the Hadley family fully exaggerated the overall influence of technology on the characters daily life,
thus, ending it with a suspenseful scene further aggravated the seriousness of possible damages done
by the nursery room. The early signs of developmental damages are often the result of excessive
permissiveness. Although the nursery room had cost half again as much as the rest of the house,
(Bradbury 8) George and Lydia still bought it for their children. As widely acknowledged by many
critics, technology can be extravagant and redundant in most cases. Yet, the Hadleys thought it was a
necessity because the kids certainly enjoyed the company of privileged technology that
unconditionally spoils them. Therefore, it was no wonder that Peter and Wendy formed a quick and
intensive relationship with the nursery room as its main occupiers. In addition, George Hadley, similar
in view to his children, was [also] filled with admiration for the mechanical genius who had conceived
this room. He even considers it a miracle of efficiency selling for an absurdly low price, and claims
that every home should have one. (9) Both generations in the story seemed to be wildly fascinated and

Mother Infant Dyads Completed All Aspects Of The Study Essay
Method
Twenty four mother infant dyads completed all aspects of the study. Of those 24, 18 were Caucasian,
22 were married, eight of them had an annual family income of $50,000 to $74,999, and seven had an
annual family income of over $100,000. Also 16 of the participating mothers had a graduate degree.
Not only is the sample size very small, but the demographics of the mothers is greatly
disproportionate. With the majority of mothers being caucasian, educated, middle class, married
women, the sample size does not accurately represent the majority of the population who lives in
relative poverty and cannot afford to seek help. About half of the mothers had a history of depression
and were taking or had just started taking antidepressant medication when they first enrolled.
Considering the size of the sample, all the mothers should have been either prescription drug users, or
not, but not both. Prescription drug treatment for any depression significantly changes perceptions of
mood, skewing the results, and there is not enough women in the study to make a concise prognosis.
To assess the mothers postpartum psychiatric difficulties the Postpartum Depression Screening Scale
(PDSS; Beck Gable, 2000) was used. Prior to treatment, mothers completed a self report questionnaire
packed comprised of the Brief Symptom Inventory (BSI; Derogatis, 1993), the Parenting Stress Index

Pttm s Pathological Determortem Diagnosis
PTTM is a highly fatal, rare complication from metastatic carcinoma. Von Herbay et al. first described
the disease in 1990 after a review of 630 consecutive autopsy cases of carcinoma (8). Of the 21 cases,
gastric carcinoma was the most prevalent. Although less prevalent, malignancies of lung, breast,
prostate, and colon, among others were noted during the study (8). An antermortem diagnosis is
challenging due to the rapidly progressive pulmonary hypertension and right side heart failure.
However, PTTM has pathological, radiological, and clinical characteristics that can help aid an
antermortem diagnosis. In order to assess PTTM s pathological characteristics antermortem, a lung
biopsy is required. A histological assessment from a lung biopsy is the most accurate method of
diagnosis; however, the patients are usually too hypoxic upon discovery to perform a lung biopsy. In
which case, a pathological diagnosis can only be made postmortem. Although, antermortem and
postmortem investigations will inspect for the same determining factors histologically. PTTM is

flattening of the interventricular septum (4, 5). Centrilobular nodules and tree in bud images are also
radiological indicators of PTTM (4). Additionally, the chest CT angiogram should not show signs of a
pulmonary embolism, which is a common suspicion during the clinical investigation of PTTM (2, 3).
However, radiological characteristics are not as definitive as pathological aspects and should be

What were the main arguments of Paul s opponents in Galatia? What arguments did Paul use to
respond to them? Undoubtedly, the author of Galatians was Paul and it may have been the earliest of
his letters. It s brief, emotional and controversial, and its importance far exceeds its size. Martin
Luther, claimed Galatians as my epistle. I am married to it and this letter became the cornerstone of
the Protestant Reformation. Paul s letter is addressed to the churches in Galatia (Galatians 1.2) but the
location of these churches is a matter of debate. A minority of scholars have argued that Galatia is an

Significantly there is no thanksgiving in this letter. Paul is so agitated that he dispenses with
thanksgiving and launches straight into his argument. I am astonished that you are so quickly
deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel (Galatians
1.6) Unflinchingly, he sets out his credentials and then insists that he is a true apostle, chosen and
appointed by God, and argues strongly that he needed no authorization from Jerusalem. He knew that
the gospel he received after his experience on the road to Damascus was the message he was to preach
and that is why he could claim to be an apostle, just like the original disciples. He dismisses their
accusation adding that the mission given by God was also approved by Peter, James and John.
(Galatians 2.9) As a Jew, a Roman citizen, a Pharisee who had become a Christian, he could see both
sides of the story, and was uniquely equipped to fulfil the role of spreading the Christian message to

Electronic Health Record ( Ehrs )
Introduction Living in a world full of technology, more and more of us are overall connected to
computerizing, and we expect it to do everything for us. Many years before we didn t have
technology, and mostly everyone was into making it. Now if we look at our world, everything is
mostly done online. More Canadians do shopping online, students receive more knowledge about the
subject their learning online, booking hotels, flights, and even do schooling online. Though looking
after all this, most patients in Canada are still handed with paper based records. When we go to the
doctor, most of us still receive handwritten prescriptions and our records are unrecognized.
We live in an era where we are more dependent on technology and want an enhanced access to health
care system in Canada. Electronic Health Record ( EHRs a system where the basis of provinces health
policy will provide a more rapidly and more effective usage to the society in need. Though not having
full access to EHRs might be the barriers for many people in different areas in Canada. Some could
have issues concerning about losing their medical documents, and it can diminish the waiting time in
hospitals or even health clinics as well. So electronic health records should be available for everyone
throughout Canada, and should be providing patients with a safer health care system.

prevent any hazards that may come into play in the office. In order to keep yourself and your
colleagues safe, the procedures should be followed. 2.5 Why is it important to keep equipment clean
and hygienic? You may not be the only person having to use the equipment and it is only courtesy to
keep the equipment as you found it. Equipment should be kept clean and hygienic to prevent picking
up illnesses such as cold and flu, and also to keep it pleasant. A sticky desk or keyboard and a crumby
desk isn t the nicest mess to tidy up when it isn t your own. Outcome 3: Understand how to use
equipment in a way that minimises waste 3.1 Give examples of waste when using equipment] The
biggest source of waste is paper, every time a letter is opened, the envelope is thrown away, and when
printing goes wrong the paper is thrown away. Ink cartridges from printers and photocopiers are
thrown away when empty, as are multiple pens when they run out of ink. 3.2 Give examples of ways
to reduce waste There are multiple ways to reduce waste, one of them being electronically. If people
have email accounts, then letters can be sent this way rather than via post. Another way is to recycle
waste, although maybe this may cause the same amount

L. Russ Bush s The Advancement
Introduction
In the book, The Advancement: Keeping the Faith in an Evolutionary Age, L. Russ Bush provides a
synopsis of the worldview he called, The Advancement. Bush believed the worldview included
thoughts of naturalistic evolution, inevitable progress, and process theology forming a worldview that
dominates Western civilization. Bush overall purpose for his thesis, The older worldview is not true
because it s old, and it too may be in need of refinement in light of better understandings of the Bible,
but authentic Christianity is the best antidote for a culture that is dying from the venom of the
Advancement. The purpose of my evaluation of this book is to provide a summary of the main ideas
and provide a critique of Bush s strengths ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He describes the fundamental parts of the Christian worldview has been replaced with the idea of
inevitable progress in the advancement worldview. He states, If God created the world, as the
Christian Bible said that he did, then the world of nature should be reasonably stable, orderly and
predictable. In his idea of stability in nature, Bush provides a distinct view of the modern worldview
by stating, to the modern mind, however, progress is inevitable. It is a characteristic of nature and a
characteristic of mankind (Ch. 1). He concludes chapter one cautioning readers of the risks included
with the modern worldview and confirms his belief in the worldview of authentic Christianity. In
chapter two, Bush discusses the rise of advancement science. He discusses how naturalistic evolution
became the scientific method. Bush states, the first noticeable symptoms of this shift from a Christian
to a naturalistic worldview within the church began to show up among the eighteenth century.
Scientist started offering a more sophisticated and fairly comprehensive way to interpret scientific data
without acknowledging God. This provided a platform for materialistic assumptions of the Western

Communism And The Czechoslovakia Revolution
The Czechoslovakia revolution mainly occurred because the communist government had many
conflicts with the citizens but before the revolution, when communism was just beginning, the citizens
wanted that type of government. On the contrary, during and after the revolution, the people of
Czechoslovakia favored a more democratic government where the power resides in the people, not
just rulers. The communist ways began in 1948 when Benes gave in to communist demands and
handed his cabinet over to the party (Communists 1) after many acts of protest that he could no longer
control. Many people fought to change their government in their country to go from a parliamentary
democracy to a communist government. They wanted to change their form of

Photography Pre-College Essay
Many people can pinpoint the exact moment that influences them to follow a certain life path. For me,
going to college in New York and becoming a photographer has been an innate part of my life. I
entered my first photography competition in the third grade and have been lusting over the big city
longer than anyone can remember. Although I am unsure where this plan stemmed from, everything in
my life has been geared towards this goal.
This past summer, I participated in a three week photography pre college program in Manhattan.
Although I had been to New York once before, living on my own and seeing the city from the
perspective of a college student has strengthened my belief that New York is where I belong. During
this program, I was able

Definition Essay On Honesty
Best selling author and podcaster James Altucher once said Honesty is the fastest way to prevent a
mistake turning into a failure (Altucher). What Altucher was saying is, honesty is a great help in
pulling you out of bad situations before they can turn even worse in your life. There are many ways
for honesty to work out positively in our lives, it can show a sense of trust within yourself or others
you come in contact with. Honesty is also a big part of our lives in our wider culture by being able to
express opinions towards various subjects. There are many ways where there is honesty in what goes
on in our lives, in television, writing, and everyday conversations. Being honest can be seen as an
award for telling the truth and not hiding it. It also promoted a sense of trust between you and the
people around you to show that you are a person of your word. Honesty is also to show self
improvement, that you are able to be honest with yourself and the decisions you make and on up to
them. Dishonesty can also lead to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Oxford English Dictionary defines honesty as honour gained by action or conduct , when I am
honest I gain respect and attention by how I handled myself. When talking to my peers or adults in my
family or school, I make it essential that I make sure I show and tell the real version of myself, not
someone that only acts a certain way because of who I am talking to. When I have been honest I
developed great relationships with the teachers of my high school and now the professors at my
university. I am able to express opinions towards them that others may not want to share with the
adults in their life. Honesty can leave out any misunderstandings people will have about me and it will
help me be able to get out of bad situations, or prevent bad situations from happening. Also, I will be
able to see a change within myself once I express

Religiosity In A Good Man Is Hard To Find
The researchers have selected five short stories written by Flannery O Connor, and these are: A Good
Man is Hard to Find, Artificial Nigger, Everything that Rises Must Converge, Revelation, and The
Barber. Each story has significant aspects of racism and the subject of religiosity, specifically the
inclusion of the grace of God. A brief summary of each story will be discussed to gain a better
viewpoint of the issues raised. Also, the examination of racism and religiosity will be raised in each
selected stories.
In A Good Man is Hard to Find, this talks about a family who is set on a journey to go to Florida for
their vacation. The grandmother saw in a newspaper that a serial killer whose name was Misfit was on
a loose. The grandmother tried persuading his son, Bailey, to just go to Tennessee and not to ... Show

Eventually, they have set out on a journey to Florida and the grandmother even brought her cat with
her. After having lunch in a barbeque restaurant, the grandmother remembered an old plantation in a
nearby area. However, Bailey does not want to stop the car for a detour. Hence, the grandmother made
up lies; she said that in that house, there are hidden treasures and gems. This made her grandchildren
scream and it irritated Bailey, so he turns the car towards the plantation. On the way there, the
grandmother does not see the old plantation, this made her anxious, suddenly, the cat she brought with
her, jumps out of the car and caused the car to run over the ditch. This made an accident and with that,
she saw a group of people approaching her. Out of shock, she recognized the face of a serial criminal
that is on a loose. With great tremor, she saw Misfit, and this caused her to tell him that she knows and

Nurturing Collaborative Culture
Nurturing a Culture of Collaboration through Effective Leadership
As shifts in education move towards authentic design based learning tasks that engage students
academically and intellectually, it is increasingly difficult for teachers to teach in isolation. The job of
a teacher has become increasingly complex (Fullan, 2008; Kohm Nance, 2009; Pugach, Johnson,
Drame Williamson, 2012; Thousand, Villa, Nevin, 2006). As a new administrator, it is the author s
responsibility to provide opportunities for optimal teaching and learning for students and staff. Fullan
(2008) states an administrator s greatest contribution to student learning, albeit indirectly, is the
collaborative cultures they create. Lu, Jiang, Yu Li (2015) posit administrators should nurture a
collaborative environment for teachers above all else. The unrelated efforts of even the most amazing
teachers will not be enough to meet the challenge of meeting the needs of all students (Pugach, et al.,
2012). Fullan Quinn emphatically state, Only the purposely collaborative will survive! (2016, p. 74).
Collaborative cultures promote professional growth of all staff, evolve over time, and require
administration to anticipate possible opportunities to foster a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The intent is to examine how a school community can collectively work towards common goals and
the essential leadership features required for nurturing a collaborative culture. To answer this question,
the author used three of the seven Professional Practice Competencies for School Leaders in Alberta
(PPCSLA) as a lens to guide the reflection on the benefits and challenges of nurturing professional
collaboration (Alberta Education, 2009). The author compares and contrasts the benefits and
limitations of collaboration against its theoretical framework that emerged from a review of the

Oppression Of Jim Crow By Richard Wright And Toba Tek Singh
Race and Oppression have been a really interesting topic in this course, this topic has been represent
the most significantly through the two texts The Ethics of living Jim Crow by Richard Wright and
Toba Tek Singh by Sadat Hasan Manto. Both talked about how a power group used oppression to keep
the other down through essentialism, prescription for their civilizing mission and how it effects the
oppressed group. In The Ethics of Jim Crow, essentialism has been shown through how Richard was
mistreated because of his skin color. He could not defend himself agaisnt the white kids in his area,
was not allow to learn skills from his first job, be told be behave a certain way but they can still beat
him up whenever they want, almost got arrested for staying out late near the white neighborhood,..
Based on Richard s appearance, they grouped him with other black people then pushed them to the
margin of society. They then stereotyped him to be uneducated, disrespectful, savage,.. to justify their
wrongful actions toward Richard, his friends and other black people in the text.
In Toba Tek Singh, because of their religion, the Muslisms, Hindus and Sikhs have to leave their
hometown and move to place they have never been before for theirs good . The government used the
difference between religion to justify its action on jailing these people and moving them around. They
drew a random line on the map, called it a border and move people around unconsciously. Since they

Arguments Against The Law Exhibiting Driver s License
If I were a member of the West Virginia state legislature, I would have voted against the law
prohibiting dropouts younger than eighteen to obtain their driver s license. I believe that there are
numerous reasons why it is necessary for teens under the age of eighteen to drive. For instance, many
teens start their first job around the age of sixteen, which is also the minimum age required for a
provisional driver s license. However if the teen dropped out of high school, they would not be able to
apply for the license making it harder, or even impossible, for them to work at their given hours. The
law is believed to prevent students from dropping out, yet it isn t 100% effective for those who don t
feel school is for them and would rather work

  • 2. Mies Van Der Rohe Concept Of Architecture What is life? Exploring Mies van der Rohe s concept of architecture as a life process From his popular motto less is more to his concept of architecture as the spatially apprehended will of the epoch , the aphorisms of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe (1886 1969) remain one of his most memorable legacies. Despite being less well known, other such statements promoted by Mies are also important to clarify the philosophy that sustained his works. This paper investigates one of these less known yet highly revealing statements: Building art is only understandable as a life process . Considering the broader context of Mies s discourse, philosophical readings, and architectural projects, this paper argues that Mies used the term life process to refer to a larger changing reality that united the material and the spiritual realms of life. According to Mies, the recognition of this material spiritual unity ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 6. How Is Genesis 1-11 Related To Sociology 1. Genesis 1 3 On the sixth day of creation, God created Adam and gave him total dominion over the Garden of Eden. After a period of time, God realized that it was not good for Adam to remain alone in the Garden, and therefore created Eve from Adam s ribs. God allowed Adam and Eve to dwell in the Garden of Eden but commanded that they did not eat from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. However, a serpent later persuades Eve to pick an apple from the Tree, who then offers it to Adam. God becomes very angry and casts them out from the Garden of Eden. The classical Disney movie, Snow White, alludes to Adam and Eve. In the movie, an innocent and pure girl named Snow White is offered a poisonous apple by a wicked witch. The witch claims that the apple was magical and had the power to grant Snow White a wish. Snow White becomes convinced and takes a bite from the apple, causing her to fall into a deep slumber. Both the serpent and witch used the art of temptation, sin, and greed to lure their foe into committing wrong things. 2. Genesis 4:1 16 ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 7. The Pan African Consciousness I know no national boundary where the Negro is concerned. The whole world is my province until Africa is free (Garvey). These words by Marcus Garvey perfectly illustrate the spirit of unification that characterized the attitude of many people of African Descent as a direct result of the callous treatment that Africa as a whole suffered at the hands of Europeans. Europe not only ravished Africa of a significant resource in the millions of lives that it stole and enslaved. Europe also pillaged the continent with the brutal institution of colonization. The manacles of colonization inspired great suffering in the lands and lives of Africans examples include Land exploitation, labor exploitation and most significantly exploiting the minds ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is at this point that Cesaire argues the permanent malnutrition is introduced. This production of cash crops led to famine in the lands of The Congo and thusly caused permanent damage in the lives of the colonized. This damage led to the aspect of the Pan African movement that celebrated Africa. One very important idea pushed by Marcus Garvey, who is known as the father of the Pan African Movement, is that Africa was the ancestral home and spiritual cradle of all African descended peoples, the scene of past and future glory ( Lynch 31). Garvey thought it was very important that the continent be freed from tyrannous European imperialist grasp (Lynch 31). The ideas that Garvey postulated about Africa were founded in the consequences of Europe s misuse of the land. Another way that European colonization caused harm to Africans is through labor exploitation. Death, taxation, and torture were tools used to enforce labor policies. After Europeans confiscated African land, they proceeded to charge Africans taxes to inhabit the land. They charged the taxes in a manner that required Africans to work for Europeans in order to pay. The railway line in The Congo, Ivory recovery, cash crop cultivation and rubber extraction were all tasks performed by Africans. Africans most often worked without pay. Europeans however made ... I remember during a sermon hearing the pastor say that 10% of the words that Jesus used in the gospels were direct quotes form the scriptures (the old testament), I say that because one of the reasons I find Treasuring Christ When Your Hands Are Full to be so encouraging is because it seems to me (from what I ve read so far) that about 50% of the words that Gloria uses are direct quotes from scripture. An economic downturn followed in the 1990s, and the Maastricht Treaty was seen as the response, to create a single market, monetary union and a common foreign and security policy . This was meant to create a spill over into other, weaker areas of the economy, helping all who were a part of it . The European Monetary Union (EMU) (1999) was a direct result of the Maastricht Treaty, leading the way for the Euro in 1999 . It was widely believed a common currency and shared markets would create a stronger place in the global economy, one that could potentially rival that of the United States . The proposed Eurozone demanded several criteria to be fulfilled by its potential member states before it could be created in 1998. This included: annual fiscal deficits no greater than 3% of GDP, accumulated government debt no greater than 60% of GDP, inflation no more than 1.5% higher than the average rate of the three least inflationary European members, and long term interest rates no more than 2% higher than these same three . • 16. Dating From The Dynastic Period Of Egypt Dating from the Dynastic Period of Egypt (3000 2938 BCE), the Narmer Pallet is one of the most important archeological findings to date. Previous to king Narmer, Lower and Upper Egypt were divided and frequently at war with each other. The common belief of most historians is that the unification of Lower and Upper Egypt was due to the influence and propaganda of King Narmer and his court. On one side of the palette, king Narmer is pictured with the bulbed white crown of Upper Egypt, while on the other side, it portrays the king wearing the crown of Lower Egypt, the papyrus. Illustrating one of the earliest known characterizations of an Egyptian king, the palette has be referred to as the first historical document in the world by Egyptologist Bob Brier. Historians regard King Narmer as the king who unified Lower and Upper Egypt, and thus the father of the Early Dynastic Period. Carved from a single piece of dark gray green siltstone, the Narmer Palette is shield shaped and stands at about 63 centimeters tall. In the past, the stone has often been misidentified as being a slate or schist. Slate is layered and prone to flaking, while schist is a metamorphic rock containing large, unevenly distributed mineral grains. Both slate and schist are unlike the finely grained siltstone, which was used continuously during the pre dynastic period for creating palettes, and also was used as a source for Old Kingdom statuary art. When I introduced my idea to Scott, he said, no , if we are going to do it, let s do it , and my exact response was, then let s do it . And so we did. We signed the dotted line making a commitment for 4 years of active duty service in the infantry of the USMC. We left our home town in November of 1997. Brahe did not trust Kepler and worried that Kepler would surpass him and become more well known than him. So Brahe assigned him the job of understanding the orbit of Mars because it gave Brahe much difficulty, and would keep Kepler occupied while Brahe worked on his theory of the solar system. Brahe also kept other data from Kepler hoping that he would be the one to discover the orbits of the planets before Kepler did. In 1601, when Brahe died Kepler received all of Brahe s data. Whether he obtained this data legally or not is still in debate today, however, it is fortunate that he obtained this data. (Silverberg, 160) When Kepler first began his work on the orbit of Mars he was under the assumption, as many scientists were, that the planetary orbits were circular, and that the Sun was at the center of the orbits. This type of system is called a heliocentric system. Also at this time only six planets were known. When Kepler obtained Brahe s data he discovered that the orbits were not perfect circles, but instead were ellipses that were only slightly flattened. The reason nobody else realized this was because the orbits were so slightly elliptical that extensive investigation and data would be needed to show this. It also turned out that the reason the orbit of Mars was very difficult to understand was because its orbit was more eccentric than the other planets that Kepler and Brahe had data about. • 27. Presentation of Research Proposal Turn Taking Management for Multimodal Dialogue Systems Introduction Natural dialogue involves the management of many communicative resources in a complex activity. Participants in a conversation transmit information, agree and disagree between each other, monitor the communicative status of their messages, make decisions about non linguistic actions and, among other things, they deal with social conventions about who is to talk and when. Conversations are joint actions in which participants individually perform coordinated activities (Clark, 1996). It is quite illustrative the metaphor proposed by Clark about dialoguing as dancing waltz. Each individual action is coordinated in a choreographic way with the actions of the other person. How and when to talk is learned since childhood, it is known that face to face conversation is the matrix of language acquisition. It is common to listen parents telling to kids when is expected from them to talk (for instance, they motivate responses if a question, an order or a hello was expressed, they show when is expected to say thank you or you are welcome ). For the last twenty years, various efforts have sprung from the interest to develop annotation models that reflect the diverse ways in which participants behaviors contribute to conversation (Ahrenberg, et al., 1995; HCRC, Carletta, et al., 1996; DAMSL, Allen Core, 1997). Analysis Of Interstellar Interstellar (2014), directed by Christopher Nolan and co written by Jonathan Nolan, is an epic science fiction film that depicts extreme measures that one would pursue for love. The film questions how far a man is willing to go in order to achieve safety for his family. Cooper (Matthew McConaughey) exemplifies that without a proper plan, he is still willing to push his own limits. Interstellar depicts the theme of a father s love through the music score, the plot structure, the dialogue, the dynamic between man and machine, the setting, and the symbolism. Hans Zimmer s unique music score in Interstellar brings out the intensity and drama to the playing field and allows the audience to grip what Cooper actually does for his daughter Murph (Mackenzie Foy). Some of Hans Zimmer s most important songs in Interstellar are Coward and No Time for Caution. The emotional base for the song Coward is the cold and empty space of the whole universe. This song portrays how scary and intense leaving planet Earth is, and Cooper s raw love for his children for whom he did this whole mission for. Coward is introduced in the scenes involving Dr. Mann (Matt Damon). Mann is viewed as a surprising enemy in Cooper s eyes after he intentionally cracks his space helmet. Recent interest in stability training for lower back injuries has brought attention the utilization of labile, or movable, surfaces which challenge the motor control system. Studies have shown that the abdominal muscles play an extremely important role in maintaining optimal spine stability. The study was enacted primarily because there is very little known about the modulating effects of these types of surfaces on muscle activity. Embodiment In The Veldt Bradbury utilizes the veldt as an embodiment in the short story, The Veldt, to warn the audience that excessive admiration and dependence on technology will ultimately lead to physical and psychological damages on the development of humans. The future that Bradbury constructs around the Hadley family fully exaggerated the overall influence of technology on the characters daily life, thus, ending it with a suspenseful scene further aggravated the seriousness of possible damages done by the nursery room. The early signs of developmental damages are often the result of excessive permissiveness. Although the nursery room had cost half again as much as the rest of the house, (Bradbury 8) George and Lydia still bought it for their children. As widely acknowledged by many critics, technology can be extravagant and redundant in most cases. Yet, the Hadleys thought it was a necessity because the kids certainly enjoyed the company of privileged technology that unconditionally spoils them. Therefore, it was no wonder that Peter and Wendy formed a quick and intensive relationship with the nursery room as its main occupiers. Von Herbay et al. first described the disease in 1990 after a review of 630 consecutive autopsy cases of carcinoma (8). Of the 21 cases, gastric carcinoma was the most prevalent. Although less prevalent, malignancies of lung, breast, prostate, and colon, among others were noted during the study (8). An antermortem diagnosis is challenging due to the rapidly progressive pulmonary hypertension and right side heart failure. However, PTTM has pathological, radiological, and clinical characteristics that can help aid an antermortem diagnosis. In order to assess PTTM s pathological characteristics antermortem, a lung biopsy is required. A histological assessment from a lung biopsy is the most accurate method of diagnosis; however, the patients are usually too hypoxic upon discovery to perform a lung biopsy. He dismisses their accusation adding that the mission given by God was also approved by Peter, James and John. (Galatians 2.9) As a Jew, a Roman citizen, a Pharisee who had become a Christian, he could see both sides of the story, and was uniquely equipped to fulfil the role of spreading the Christian message to the Gentile world. Nurturing Collaborative Culture Nurturing a Culture of Collaboration through Effective Leadership As shifts in education move towards authentic design based learning tasks that engage students academically and intellectually, it is increasingly difficult for teachers to teach in isolation. The job of a teacher has become increasingly complex (Fullan, 2008; Kohm Nance, 2009; Pugach, Johnson, Drame Williamson, 2012; Thousand, Villa, Nevin, 2006). As a new administrator, it is the author s responsibility to provide opportunities for optimal teaching and learning for students and staff. Fullan (2008) states an administrator s greatest contribution to student learning, albeit indirectly, is the collaborative cultures they create. Lu, Jiang, Yu Li (2015) posit administrators should nurture a collaborative environment for teachers above all else. The unrelated efforts of even the most amazing teachers will not be enough to meet the challenge of meeting the needs of all students (Pugach, et al., 2012). Arguments Against The Law Exhibiting Driver s License If I were a member of the West Virginia state legislature, I would have voted against the law prohibiting dropouts younger than eighteen to obtain their driver s license. I believe that there are numerous reasons why it is necessary for teens under the age of eighteen to drive. For instance, many teens start their first job around the age of sixteen, which is also the minimum age required for a provisional driver s license. However if the teen dropped out of high school, they would not be able to apply for the license making it harder, or even impossible, for them to work at their given hours.
