throughout the texts, but as we break them down we begin to uncover similarities between the trio.
This analysis will expose techniques, strategies, and evidence while discovering the rhetorical appeals
behind each one.
The beginning of any thought provoking essay will hook its audience using a form of pathos. Two of
his sons returned home from the battlefield whole and healthy. The third, however, came home
suffering multiple seizures a day (Rorabacher). The quote generates sympathy within us making us
yearn to see a welcoming outcome and leaving the audience hooked. Eli Hager s article follows a
similar route informing us that The state of Missouri sent Harris to the penitentiary in Boonvilee, 250

There are many different books that he has written and has gotten many awards. Sachar won the
Newbery Medal for one of his top selling books, called Holes. Another book that he is written is called
Small Steps. Small Steps is about how you have one thing at a time in life and not do so many things
at once. In the book Small Steps, Louis Sachar uses figurative language, conflict to help keep the
reader engaged, and uses the same character s name in multiple of his books as his writing style. One
style that Louis Sachar uses in the book Small Steps is conflict. Conflict is a struggle between
opposing forces or when two characters in a story get in a fist fight or just a fight over a conversation.

Over the past month, we read the Story of the Grail by Chretien de Troyes. This poem details the
progression of the knight Perceval. In the beginning, Perceval is not called by his name, instead he is
referred to as the youth . This is an important detail to stress, because the poem is a coming of age
story. As the poem progresses, the reader is able to see definitive changes in Perceval s character. For
example, in the beginning of the poem Perceval uses the limited knowledge that was bestowed upon
him by his mother in order to complete his knightly duties. To make it worse, Perceval feels the need
to tell everyone he meets that his mother is the one that taught him everything he knows. Eventually,
Perceval outgrows this behavior and becomes a suitable knight. Throughout the poem, Perceval goes

The Internationalization Of Chinese Currency
INTRODUCTION In the recent decades, China has achieved remarkable economic development.
Therefore, more and more attention has paid to the internationalization of Chinese currency (RMB).
Benjamin J. Cohen suggests that, with huge and well connected economic base, the opportunity for
RMB internationalization is obvious, but China s underdeveloped financial system and financial
markets, cumbersome capital control, make RMB internationalization face difficulties (Cohen, 2008).
This paper departure from international currency, and then further discusses about the meaning and
current situation of RMB internationalization, and the costs and benefits of RMB internalization, and
then related to the current Chinese economic circumstances, give some opinion about the process.

Thesis Statement
Presidentialism is a system of government in which the president is elected both chief executives and
as head of government (Ogelsby Suárez, 1968) and is the main system of democratic government
apart from parliamentary systems. Presidential systems tend to centralise priorities of the government
to stabilise society. Normally, they are classed into separate regions of power; where the executive,
legislative and judicial branches of government are dependent on one another and cannot work
effectively in deeply divided societies. This argument is ruled by the fact that they are 1) divisive,
causing isolation between ethnoreligious groups. Elites are prioritised over minority working class
groups and 2) inherently majoritarian, as only a single position is given causing proportionality to
become impossible. In places such as Latin America and Northern Ireland, we see the ways in which
these theories have proven ineffectiveness. However, presidential systems aim to separate powers in
order to protect citizens rights and deter abuse of power for good governance overall. Through this

overall meaning of the work is created as it displays how time does not change memories, even if time
has changed the present day. Together, these stylistic choices affect the audience s reactions as the
reader is able to identify how the lake represents the authors unfading and untouchable memories of
his younger days.
