Cinder As Depicted In The Awakening
Cinder is a story that never gets boring. This is because there are many different problems, that are
brilliantly staggered so the reader is always entertained. For example, in Chapter 1, while there is
nothing happening with the Lunar ordeal, or there aren t any tensions between Cinder and her
stepmother, there is an outbreak of letumosis, a disease that threatens all Earthens. Keeping Cinder
unboring keeps the story very thrilling. Cinder is a very exhilarating novel. To illustrate, Publishers
Weekly called Cinder utterly thrilling. There is much anticipation and excitement. For example,
Cinder must get a message to Prince Kai, a message that could determine Earth s fate. She must get to
the palace, despite the danger that if she

The Transcontinental Railroad Network Connected The East...
The Transcontinental Railroad network connected the East and the West coasts; it was completed on
May 10, 1869. It increased America s imports and exports, as well as generated a national interest in
tourism; however, the construction of such project encountered a series of issues. These ranged from
corruption, the reluctant choice to hire Chinese workers and environmental obstacles. Thanks to the
vision of some individuals and the authorization of President Abraham Lincoln, the Transcontinental
Railroad became a reality; once the project was completed it connected the entire country and
increased production for both the Pacific and the Atlantic. Thirty years after the first locomotives
arrived from Britain in early 1830 s, railroads ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Before the construction began railroads only reached as far as St Louis Missouri. Some local
businesses already benefited dramatically from the railroad networks; such was the case with the state
of Texas, as it reentered the Union after the Civil War ended, this was because A longhorn worth $3 in
Texas might command $40 at Sedalia, [Missouri]. As a result, the era of cowboys roaming through the
Great Plains escorting livestock was gone, since Railroad networks presented a cheaper, quicker and
more lucrative method of transporting livestock to the north. There were two companies tasked with
the construction of the Transcontinental Railroad, the Union Pacific working from the East coast and
the Central Pacific working from the West coast, the concept was for these two companies to meet
somewhere in the middle. Greed became a significant factor amongst both the Union and Central
Pacific Railroad companies because constructing one mile of tracks would generate $32,000 in profit;
this led the Union Pacific to request to unnecessarily lengthen the route in order to increase its profit.
While the Central Pacific award[ed] the construction and supplies contract to one of their [four]
own[ers], soon after his resignation from the corporation in an attempt to cover their lucrative
interests. The Central Pacific

Presidential Election Campaign Analysis
Four years have past and it is time for yet another presidential election. Presidential campaigning for
this election started as early as February, approximately 21 months prior to the actual Election Date.
The Republican party had originally 17 candidates, 16 of them dropped out leading Donald J. Trump
to be the Republican Nominee. The fight for the Democratic nomination was neck and neck. With
originally 6 candidates, 5 whom dropped out, lead Hillary Clinton to be the Democratic Nominee.
Alongside the Republican and Democratic nominations we have the Green Party whose candidate is
Jill Stein and Libertarian Party, Gary Johnson.

However there were people who from the start knew exactly who they were voting for and why. It s
all about, which candidate best represents the issues you want to be changed (or keep.) Donald Trump
is talking about how America would be better off if we kept everyone out of it, not letting anyone
from mexico entering by building a wall. Trump thoroughly believes that this wall is how we will
make America great again. There are many people who are for trumps immigration stance, wanting to
send back any illegal immigrants to their country. However what if being failed to be noted is that
building a wall is only regressive. Building this wall with one of America s closest allies will only put
a strain in our relationship with not only Mexico, but the rest of the world. Trump wants to alienate
and attack all Mexicans legal and illegal in the United States, as opposed to Jill Stein who wants to be
able to provide for them. Stein support immigrants rights and wants to create a welcoming path to
citizenship for immigrants.Wanting to put the discrimination to an end, Stein wants to provide
everyone with equal rights and access to health care. Her platform on Health Care as a Right states,
No restrictions based on pre existing illness, employment, immigration status, age, or any other

better again, but he is wrong. Jill Stein wants to halt deportations, including the shameful practice of
night raids being used to terrorize refugee families. People come to the United States to seek help. So
why should we refuse them entry or kick them out if they re already

Residential Zones They provide regions of residential development at various indicated building and
population densities. These zones are expected to compromise an assortment of housing types and to
support the arrangement of housing for all residents. Prevalent automobile ownership and mid century
government policies made low density suburban development possibility. This development frame,
generally called sprawl, has turned into the default design for a great deal of development.

I Know Why Miriam Is The Caged Bird
Who Is the caged bird? Who is the free bird? According to The Long Walk Home the caged bird and
free bird could be anybody. It could be MIriam,it could be Odessa,it could be Tucker, or it could be the
little girl Mary Katherine. You need to pay close attention to know who is the Caged Bird or the Free
Bird. I think that out of these characters the caged bird would be Tucker and the Free Bird would be
Miriam. These characters relate a lot to Maya Angelou s, I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings . To
learn more about this and why Tucker is the Caged Bird and why Miriam is the Free Bird, read the
following Paragraphs. To start off, we will start to talk about Who is the caged bird and why. I think

Though, I can compare both because they do have some things in common. They are both White
Americans which make them eligible to have a good future and be able to vote. The difference is that
one catches the most attention when the other is kind of ignored. They also think differently, Miriam is
positive and sees African Americans as friends. While Tucker sees them as outcasts of society, he
doesn t want them winning their Civil Rights any time soon. I can also say that they are kind of
relatable because they both are able to get a job and have plenty of food to eat. These are just some
differences and some things they have in common. In conclusion, I believe that Miriam is more free
than Tucker can be. Besides Tucker is the one who ended up loosing. This is just my opinion to who
could be the Caged Bird and the Free Bird in, The Long Walk Home . As you can tell, In the story
African families are struggling to achieve their dream to be free, but still keep on walking forwards
instead of backwards. The white men, on the other hand, are falling backwards because they don t
seem to be trying so much on stopping the African Americans movement. This is why we live in the

Dirt Bike Speech
Would you ever ride a dirt bike. Would you enter in a race and try to beat either other opponents or
friends or family. If so you need speed, power, agility and equipment. You could ride at duns in the
desert or trails and tracks with friends or family, but the biggest thing is trying to find a dirt bike either
online at a shop or a from someone. They have different bikes and many different prices either new or
used. They have honda s, husqvarna s, kawasaki s, ktm s and many more. The prices are new are
around 2,000 8,000 for used dirt bikes are around 500 1,500 either in stores or from someone. You just
have to get a good running dirt bike and good tires and sprocket . You can ride at tracks down the hill
or up in the high desert. In the high desert they have honda valley and to silverwood dame. At honda
valley they have huge jumps that looks like no one could land it because it shoots you super far which
means you have to go fast. Going to silverwood they have long trails that have sharp turns and a

hope my essay was useful about dirt bikes and the little bit of exercise you do. Like hitting big jumps
and wheelies and many more. The hard thing about trying to find a dirt bike that runs decent and has
no problems. Also the size of the dirt bike and the cc or power of the bike like a 125 or a 250 or

Not only the personality test certifies me, but also the social media specifically, Facebook does show
my communication and engagement skills. I have more than 8 thousand followers on Facebook.
Hence, I will be the right candidate to provide marketing, events and communications support for the
division. My recent internship with the ANU Science Communication and Marketing has been a great
training in creating materials to document and publicizing it through different media channels. I gave
input for the office during the ANU Stargazing event. I have also developed a communication and
outreach strategy for the office to boost its campaign during the National Science Week 2017 in the
ACT.
I have learnt 11 different languages (in a different level from basic to fluent) and these were a great
source to develop understanding of communication from a cultural context. The way I will
communicate an American, it needs to be a slightly different with a Briton. This is how
communication and engagement becomes culturally compatible. And, I am master of it.
As a full time journalistic working experience, I believe I also have a strong negotiation and liaison

Since it has been researched that mass media influences viewers and that children are active learners,
we can assume they are effected by media in their perceptions of the world.
3.0 What is socialization?
Socialization is the process of learning how to behave into a way that is appropriate to our culture,
human infant are born without any culture. Therefore, children must be guide by our parents, teachers,
and mass media to lead the correct moral, social and cultural. This is important in the process of
personality formation, individual experiences to become a unique individual and capable member of
society. Through socialization individuals accept the beliefs, roles, motives, and behaviours of a
certain culture. In short, socialization is the process by which people learn to adopt the norms,
attitudes, and behaviours accepted and practiced by on going system.
3.1 Mass media
Mass media have profound of impact socialization in modern, high income societies or both children
and adults. The media function as socializing agents in several ways: inform us about events,
introduce us to a wide variety of people, provide an array of viewpoints, make us aware of produce,

Comparison of Medtronic s Financial Statements to Baxter s...
Medtronic s Ratings Earning Power I would rank Medtronic s earning power at a 9 on a scale of 1
(very weak) to 10 (very strong). Medtronic has successfully demonstrated their ability to grow and
provide substantial return to their owners. Medtronic s net earnings have steadily increased from
$984.0 million in 2002, to $1599.8 million in 2003, to $1959.3 million in 2004. Their total assets have
increased 13.7% from $12,405.5 million in 2003 to $14,110.8 million in 2004. These measures show
that Medtronic has been successful in generating profits and increasing their net assets. These
measures have steadily been increasing and therefore this type of progress can reasonably be expected
to persist in the future. Total liabilities ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This account only made up 8% of the current liabilities for this year. These two facts show that the
accounts payable does not seem to be a significant form of financing. The company is not relying
heavily upon accounts receivable and is probably not having a difficult time generating cash to pay to
suppliers. One last measure used to determine the ranking provided for Medtronic s solvency was the
debt/equity ratio. Using this ratio, we see that the average total liabilities only make up 56% of the
total Stockholder s equity. This shows that the company s debt is bout half of the company s total book
value. All of these measures are consistent with the idea that Medtronic is able to produce cash to meet
debts as they come due. If the current and quick ratio proved that the company was carrying a large
percentage of current assets as compared to current liabilities, and if the debt didn t make up a
majority of the stockholder s equity, the ranking would have been higher. Earning Quality and
Persistence When ranking Medtronic s earning quality and persistence I would give the company a
ranking of 8 on a scale of 1 to 10. Net operating income is considered to be made up of usual and
frequent activities and is therefore considered to be persistent. This has steadily increased over the past
three years and can reasonably be expected to continue in the future. In 2002, the amount was $1590.2

Code Switching Research Paper
Code Meshing and Code Switching
Code meshing is using colloquial terms, or if you want to call it slang in your grammar. We use it a lot
in current times, while we text or talk to our friends and relatives. Code meshing can also be
combining, proper words and slang terms and having conversations with other s. Code switching is a
change of mind with your words, you aren t going to say the things you said to your friends to your
mother. Code switching played a huge part in my life at an early age.
Code switching has been used a lot over the years in job interviews. For example, some African
Americans feel that they have to change the way they talk when they are around White people. It s just
like speaking to a female that you really like, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some have people who train them on not being politically correct. You don t want to always say what
s on your mind because that will throw people off. Keeping it real doesn t always pay the bills in that
industry. I use celeberties for a reason because that is how they are taught to be in that world. For
Example, Rick Ross raps about drug dealing and guns but that is not who he is, he knows how to act
when the music is done.
In class I learned that it was such thing as African American language. I totally disagree with that,
because in 2016 everyone speaks with a slang or terms. You can t give off a name to one race, when
other people use that type of language. That is when code meshing comes in, you will notice how
people speak differently. In Nigeria people use this term called Broken English . That is when you say
the word half way but it Is not proper at all.
Code meshing is used a lot where I am from in the inner city of Baltimore. I grew up in the city, where
majority of my friends are from around the way. They taught me certain slangs and I felt like I was
cool. Code switching comes in on this one, when kids want to fit in so they use slangs to feel hip. Like
to some kids, they feel that it wouldn t be cool for them to speak proper in front of their

Criminal Justice Court Observation
I observed court operations at the Plantation Key Government Center in Tavernier, Florida twice: on

courthouse is located in the 16th Judicial Circuit of Florida and it s a state trial court with general
jurisdiction. The first visit was cut short, in part because it was a lighter criminal day than planned, but
also I was flabbergasted by the lack of professionalism that was present in the Florida Keys

Candide always had his hopes set on concurring Cunégonde s love. The disapproval of her father and

Dinosaurs Case Study
Digging Dinosaurs
Level A:
You are swimming underwater in a lake and you see dinosaur feet in the water. You don t want to go
to the surface of the lake in case they are not friendly dinosaurs.
How many dinosaurs are standing in the lake? Explain how you know. Use words and mathematical
language to explain your solution..
Problem Restated: This basically states try to find all possible combinations and outcomes for this
type of situation.
Process: The very first thing I did was to find out that there weren t any dinosaurs with 1,3,5,6,7,8
feet. (Lincoln and John helped with that). Next, I figured that if there were only two legged dinosaurs
it would be four of them. 2+2+2+2=8. There could also be four legged dinosaurs. In this case 4 x 2 = 8
found the number of dinosaurs. Last, there could be a combination of dinosaurs in the lake. A four
legged and two two legged beasts.
Math:
2 four legged dinosaurs make up eight feet or 4 + 4= 8
4 two legged dinosaurs make eight feet or 2+2+2+2=8
1 four legged dinosaurs and 2 two legged dinosaurs make 8 feet or 4+2+2=8
Solution: A possible four two legged, and two four legged, as well as one four legged and two two
legged. So 2,3,4 dinosaurs
Level B:
You want to go with your sister to the museum to see the dinosaur exhibit. The museum has three
different plans to pay for going to see the dinosaurs.

The Beginnings of Santa Claus The evolution of the figure known as Santa Claus can be traced
through religious, mythological, and cultural portrayals all the way back to the fourth century. It is
amazing how the legend of Santa Claus has grown and evolved throughout history. And even more
exciting how he has became a modern day icon during the Christmas season. What do you think of

She raised him and love him as her own child. Let him be called Claus, answered Necile, for that

Narrative Voice In The Turn Of The Screw By Henry James
A simple fact of literature is that a story simply cannot be told without the presence of a nar rator. This
textual voice literally narrates the story and therefore wields the power to influ ence it in many ways.
Sometimes, it is not what the narrator reveals that is important, but what is left out. Writers can use the
different aspects of narration to make their point more efficiently and it is therefore an obvious focus
point when it comes to interpreting a text. Henry James The Turn of the Screw has for several reasons
been in literary critics spotlight and this essay focuses on the changes in narrative voice taking place in
the introduction along with the first three chapters of the story with some final comments on their
relation to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
We get no comments from the original narrative voice whatsoever and the story being told is left
solely to the reader to interpret since the whole novella ends inside the frame of the creepy story being
told. This leaves many questions unanswered and is unor dinary for any novella at the very least. The
unsettling events of the tale, however, ask the obvious question of whether the reader can truly trust
the woman s letters as factual. Perhaps, she was merely imagining everything. The possibility of an
unstable mind cannot be left out and this damages her credibility as a narrator. In addition, since the
transcript of the story has travelled through several hands, it can have been altered. This seems
unlikely, though, since the transcript surely would have been affected by Douglas knowledge of both
prior and sub sequent events that would have given the story an almost omniscient narrator which it

events as she recalls them, not as they occur, and even though the original first person narrator seems

Causes Of Teen Suicide
Teen Suicide
Teenage suicide is a major public health concern in the United States. According to the Centers for
Disease Control and Prevention there were approximately 5,079 suicides in 2015. This occurred
mainly between the age of 15 and 19. This is the second leading cause of death among this age group.
There are different reasons why teenagers may have suicidal thoughts and commit suicide. This essay
will identify the different causes of suicide among teenagers and propose solutions to the problem.
Teen suicide may be defined as the intentional act of a teenager ending his or her own life. Teen
suicide attempts are more common among females when compared to males even though male
teenagers are the ones who actually carry out the act of suicide. The higher rates of suicide in the
United States are attributed to the changes in the suicide methods. Suffocation which happens through
strangulation and hanging is the most lethal method of suicide that is considered by teenagers. The
other forms of suicide that are used by teenagers include firearm suicide in which the teenagers use
firearms to end their lives (Holliday and Vandermause 168). Teen suicide affects both male and female
teenagers even though males are at an increased risk of suicide. Teen suicide rates in the United States
doubled between 1960s and 1990s. There is no clear explanation on this trend even though the Centers
for Disease Control and Prevention attributes this to increased reporting. There has been

The Impossibility Of Moral Responsibility
Moral responsibility is a concept that has, in some way, existed in every culture and civilization that
recorded history can tell us about. From the Law of Hammurabi to beliefs in judgmental gods
mankind has always assumed some form of moral responsibility whether metaphysical or within a
society. While pragmatic considerations of moral responsibility seem to be necessary for living within
a society, the philosophic concept of moral responsibility beckons many inherent problems that must
be resolved. Galen Strawson in The Impossibility of Moral Responsibility presents a strong argument
as to why moral responsibility is impossible, while Susan Wolf responds to the problems presented,
and argues that moral responsibility does exist in some ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He shows the argument in the way it exists in a person s life, which allows for more coherent
discussion, and as he later states, new forms of objection (314). One important note to make on
Strawson s argument is his hard determinist stance. He believes that every decision and action of a
person is predetermined by their heredity and early experience. For him, no form of free will exists.
While he does believe that a person is able to examine their behaviors and tendencies, their ability to
self revise is predetermined by heredity and early experience. His determinist stance allows his
argument to be sound and extremely difficult to refute. Another important thing to draw from the
Strawson argument is what is meant by moral responsibility. For Strawson, true moral responsibility
means that one is responsible to the degree that it is sensible to either punish one with eternal torment
in hell, or reward one with enteral bliss in heaven (314). His definition of moral responsibility is not
confined to religious faith in heaven or hell, but rather is used to convey an absolute nature of
accountability. This concept of moral responsibility as Strawson presents is pivotal in understanding
his objection of moral responsibility. Strawson s argument is not against a legislative or judicial sense
of responsibility, and does not take the form of responsibility that a

Similarities Between The Democratic Party And The...
The Democratic Party and the Republican Party have many differences, but they also share many
similarities. The Democratic Party is the oldest continuing party in the United States. A new coalition
of Westerners, Southerners, and non property owning white men emerged from the Democratic
Republican Party and formed the Democratic Party. The core beliefs that tie the Democratic Party
together are: Democrats believe that they are greater together than on their own, that the country
succeeds when everyone has an equal opportunity, everyone does their fair share, and everyone plays
by the same rules. The Democratic Party is focused on building an economy that lifts up all
Americans, not just those at the top. For more than two hundred years, ... Show more content on

The Democrats believe that only middle and lower income families should get tax cuts and that
corporations and the wealthy should pay more. The Republicans believe there should be tax cuts for
everyone including corporations. Democrats are more progressive in their views; they favor abortion
and gay marriage, but favor strict gun control laws that limit ownership. They favor increasing the
minimum wage so that Americans have more money to purchase goods. They favor trade restrictions
to protect American jobs. The Republicans are more conservative in their views; they oppose gay
marriage and promote marriage being between a man and a woman. They also oppose abortion and
promote the right of gun ownership. They oppose increases to the minimum wage, citing that
businesses need to keep costs low so they can prosper and all Americans have access to products and
services. They favor free trade in order to keep costs low for consumers and businesses make more
profits. Democrats prefer government regulation and oversight of the health care system making the
health care system accessible to everyone. They believe that government should run social programs
such as welfare, unemployment, SNAP, and Medicaid to support those in need. Republicans oppose
the Affordable Care Act stating that too much government involvement will cause a rise in costs and
have a negative impact on the quality of care. They believe that social welfare programs should have
less funding and tighter control. The Republicans favor a full military effort to displace regimes that
are totalitarian, detrimental to their own people, and who are threatening others; while Democrats
favor limited use of manpower. Democrats believe in restricting drilling for oil; Republicans favor
expanding drilling operations. Democrats favor progressive approaches to education, such

Jane Goodall Personal Statement
In the third grade, my life was altered when I read an abbreviated biography about Jane Goodall the
primatologist. I have always had a passion for discovering the world around me, specifically the
animals and environment, but Goodall elevated my own desire for exploration to a new level. I was
struck by a young female scientist pursuing her dreams in the field of biology and the significant
impact she had in the scientific world. Jane Goodall managed to bring passion and emotion to her
observations of chimpanzees at a time when observational science was extremely concerned about
remaining objective. She silently proved every critic of hers wrong by showing the world that she was

Divine Comedy is an epic poem written by Dante. The epic is divided into three parts: Inferno,
Purgatorio, and Paradiso. In Inferno, Virgil (the Roman poet) guides Dante through Hell. There are
nine circles of Hell followed by Lucifer s level at the bottom. Level one is Limbo. Charon takes you
across the River Acheron to Limbo, which is a place of sorrow without torment. Level two is Lust. It
is a place of no light and bellowing seas. Here the lustful spend eternity. Level three is gluttony. There
is eternal rain, curses, and cold. Gluttons are punished by lying in a filthy mixture of shadows and of

assassins, and the tyrants lament their pity in the river. Level eight is Fraud. This level has Malebolge,
an amphitheatre which is a pit of despair. Level nine is Treachery. Lucifer (Satan) resides here. It is
removed from the source of light and warmth. In Purgatorio, Virgil leads Dante on a climb up the
mount of Purgatory. The mount of Purgatory has seven levels of suffering and spiritual growth which
is an allegory for the seven deadly sins. The seven levels are the following: Pride, Envy, Wrath, Sloth,
Avarice, Gluttony, and Lust. The Garden of Eden is at the top of the mount. Dante must learn to reject
the earthly paradise he sees for the heavenly one that awaits. In Paradiso, Beatrice guides Dante

Invitation To A Journey Summary
Invitation to a Journey: A Roadmap for Spiritual Formation is dedicated to spiritual formation. This
can be seen by how it integrates spiritual practice with God s word and with the goal of guiding the
reader toward transformation in the image of Christ. Mulholland doesn t simply cover the traditionally
recognized disciplines, but instead exposes the reader to many aspects of formation rarely discussed in
detail like how our formation involves and impacts others and how personality structures affect
formation. He does talk about the classic four stage pilgrimage of awakening, purgation, illumination,
and union but keeps from making them the main focus. The book is broken into four sections, The
Road Map, The Vehicle, The Journey, and Companions ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This process reveals our cross, or area where we must die and be raised into the newness of Christ s
image. To do so requires the step of consecration where we must recognize our cross point and accept
the transforming work of Christ. These two steps begin the process of being transformed into Christ s
image, which is the essence of our forming journey and a vital part of the definition of spiritual
formation. Mulholland then gives extended attention to how our spiritual formation affects those
around us. We are conformed to Christ s image for the sole purpose of being in a relationship with
both God and with others. The example given in support, is Christ and in his sacrifice, which was for
all; he died totally and completely for all and such is our call in the transforming process of spiritual
formation. This concept I thought was the easiest part of the book because it was the most obvious
until I examined my heart. Right now I cannot say that I would be willing to die for anyone because I
still value my life more than some people. He presented the dying for others as if it was not only
simply easy but as if it was the easiest thing but I am finding dying to myself to be the hardest
concept.Maybe it is my

Essay On Didgeridoo
What is Didgeridoo? The didgeridoo also known as didjerido is an Australian Aboriginal wind
instrument in the form of a long wooden tube. Traditionally made from a hollow branch. This
instrument is blown to produce a deep and resonant sound. Its varied by rhythmic accents of volume
and timbre. Some believe the Australian Aborigine has been using the didgeridoo for over 40,000
years, the oldest records of Aborigines playing the didgeridoo date back 2000 years in the form of old
Northern Territory cave and rock paintings. Australian aboriginal music is sometimes classified in
three categories, secular, sacred and secret. These categories are generally more functional than
musical. The didgeridoo s instruments family are brass, and wind. The related instruments are post
horn, trumpet, buggle, and cornet. Originally, didgeridoo was just played as an accompaniment
instrument for dancing and singing ceremony. But it was also commonly played for a solo and outside
of recreational ceremonial gathering purpose. For aboriginal groups of northern Australia, the

Does Gmos Have Detrimental Effect On World Health
The world is a hungry place. It s hungry for love, hungry for passion, hungry for money and hungry
for work. But more than anything, it s hungry for food. People are starving around the globe while the
rest of us live a comfortable existence. Several companies have used their scientific expertise to
genetically modify seeds to increase crop yields in an attempt to feed the masses and end world
hunger. Can they do it? In the short run, yes they can, but it is important to ask at what cost? What are
they not telling us? If something seems too good to be true, it probably is. Although the genetically
modified food industry has so far been instrumental in successfully feeding a hungry and growing
world population, those same foods are polluting the environment, poisoning our food supply and
killing us slowly.
THE CONTROVERSY
The belief that GMOs have a detrimental effect on world health has made its inclusion in our food
supply one of the most talked about topics today. This reaction comes from an alarming body of
evidence connecting them with health issues, environmental damage and the violation of farmer and
consumers rights. (Non GMO Project.) This issue has created a growing concern throughout the
world, prompting over sixty countries to ban them or pass stringent laws to label their presence in
consumer products, especially food (Non GMO Project.)

Juvenile Justice In Juveniles
The act of justice is to provide both fairness and equality for both the victim and offender. With the
increase of juvenile offenders, the YOA was enhanced therefore forming the YCJA, which would
ultimately focus on ending the cycle of recidivism among young offenders, and as a result of the
YCJA being introduced, 42% of overall crime by youths had been declined from the year 2000 to
2014. In doing this the YCJA s main goals were and still are to recuperate the youthful offenders by
focusing on rehabilitation and reintegration, and looking at the underlying cause of the crime.
Although not acknowledging the suffering and constant fear that the victim and community go
through, as the result of the crime.
To achieve the goal of stopping crimes among youths, they have set forth to make reintegrating and
rehabilitating a big part of keeping juveniles out of prison for the remainder of their life. Meaning,
they try to instill positive behaviour and choices upon juvenile offenders by providing ways to try and
migrate them back into the community while maintaining good behaviour. This, of course, does not
happen without the assistance of YCJA counsellors and justice advocacy groups, as these groups make
it their main interest to provide constant equality and stability towards these offenders. As the young

Views of Karl Marx and John Stuart Mill Essay examples
None of the supposed rights of man go beyond the egoistic man, man as he is a member of civil
society; that is, an individual separated from the community, withdrawn into himself, wholly
preoccupied with his private interests and acting in accordance with his private caprice.

The only freedom which deserves the name, is that of pursuing our own good in our own way, so long
as we do not attempt to deprive others of theirs, or impede their efforts to obtain it.

The real truth, however, falls somewhere between these two poles.
Mill on the Individual
Mill wastes no time in articulating the central thesis of On Liberty; he states, Over himself, over his
own body and mind, the individual is sovereign (69). Mill, then, does not make the individual more
important than society, but he separates the individual from society and articulates a realm of
existence in which society, or the community, should have no power over the individual. Mill states,
The sole end for which mankind are warranted, individually or collectively, in interfering with the
liberty of action of any of their number is self protection His own good, either physical or moral, is
not a sufficient warrant (68). Society, therefore, has no right to intervene in the private life of any
person, unless they act in such a way that prevents others from enjoying their own rights.
Mill is extremely clear as to why the individual should be sovereign over his or her body and mind—to
counter the effects of a possible tyranny of the majority. Mill states, It (the majority) practices a social
tyranny more formidable than many kinds of political oppression, since, though not usually upheld by
such extreme penalties, it leaves fewer means of escape, penetrating much more deeply into the details
of life, and enslaving the soul itself (63).

Criticism Of Diego Velàzquez s Las Meninas, Sebastiàn de...
Diego Velàzquez was called the noblest and most commanding man among the artists of his country.
He was a master realist, and no painter has surpassed him in the ability to seize essential features and
fix them on canvas with a few broad, sure strokes. His men and women seem to breathe, it has been
said; his horses are full of action and his dogs of life. Because of Velàzquez great skill in merging
color, light, space, rhythm of line, and mass in such a way that all have equal value, he was known as
the painter s painter, as demonstrated in the paintings Las Meninas, Sebastiàn de Morra, and Baltasar
Carlos and a Dwarf.

The interlocking of these luminous areas is the more vivid as the middle distance is cut off by the
shadows which spread across the floor. The depth of the chamber is stressed by the alternation of
window jambs and picture frames on the right hand wall, the stretcher of the large canvas on the left
foreground, and the perspective sequence of the empty lamp hooks on the ceiling, which mark as
central the spot in the rear wall where the King and the Queen are seen reflected in the mirror. In no
other painting has Velàzquez rendered space in so architectural a manner as in this, the only work in
which he has depicted a ceiling. Neither is there any other composition of his that is so vividly keyed
to the space lying out of the picture frame.
Recent studies of Las Meninas, inspired by the ideas of Michel Foucault, have paid considerable
attention to the seemingly novel relationship between the scene on the canvas and the spectator. These
ideas tacitly assume that the picture was meant to be seen by the public at large, as if it were hanging
in an important museum, as it is today. (They also exaggerate the novelty of the way in which the
spectator is involved in the picture.) However, the original placement indicates that this is not the case.
In 1666, the year after the death of Philip IV, Las Meninas was

Depicted In Billy Collins The Afterlife
Billy Collins is considered one of the most popular poets in America. He is an accomplished writer; he
has twenty two poetry books published and was the Poet Laureate of the United States from 2001 to
2003. In Collins s 1991 poetry collection Questions about Angels, the poem The Afterlife describes
the fantasies people have towards the afterlife that many have when alive. It addresses a variety of
beliefs people have towards the afterlife: belief in reincarnation, those who find themselves in a big air
conditioned room full of food and chorus girls, and more (line 17). Collins uses imagery in the poem
to reach and speak to the readers of the poem. The afterlife is considered a touchy subject in most
societies conversely, Collins deflates the unease with his satirical yet harmless nevertheless ending the

The Perfection Of Anorexia Nervosa
The life of a young girl taken by the pressures to be perfect happens all too often in today s society. It
is not uncommon for a teen girl to diet, purge, or even stop eating all together to achieve the standards

because they are pushed onto a girl from the time she is born and sometimes she does not even realize
the brainwashing. There is too much pressure put on girls to have a perfect body because it is
impossible to be perfect, girls are developing eating disorders, and being imperfect is resulting in

As many as one in every six females who have anorexia may die from it, this is the highest mortality
rate of any psychiatric disorder (Kalodner). There are two types of anorexia known as restricting and
binge eating/purging, restricting anorexia is characterized by a girl avoiding food and over exercising,
during the binge eating and purging cycle a girl will over eat then cause themselves to vomit or use the
bathroom more by sticking objects in their throat to vomit or misusing laxatives, diuretics, or enemas.
Most people see the binge eating and purging cycle as bulimia but that is false, if a person is of low
weight has not had a menstrual cycle in three months, she meets the criteria for anorexia (Kalodner).
Bulimia Nervosa better known as bulimia can be identified by recurrent episodes of binge eating,
inappropriate ways to prevent weight gain, binge eating and weight gain prevention occur regularly,
self evaluation of body size and shape, and it does not occur exclusively. Bulimia is usually caused by
depression and the fear of being fat known as procrescophobia, the two types of bulimia are purging
and non purging. Purging consists of binge eating then using medications or other objects to cause
vomit or diarrhea, non purging includes fasting for long periods of time and avoiding food. Serious
physical consequences come from these eating disorders, parts of the body that may be affected are

The Stages Of Phil Runs
When PHIL runs, it has three distinct stages that the code runs through. First is the initialization stage.
This is where the code that needs to be set up first runs. The next stage is the execution stage, which is
arguably the most important stage. This is where the majority of the code executes. Any code in the
execution stage repeats until the user terminates it. The final stage is the termination stage, which
happens after the user terminates the execution stage. This is where all tasks stop and any code which
needs to complete, can do so safely. Tasks in PHIL are pieces of code that will execute repeatedly.
Tasks can be anything from the satellite propagation to the sensors. The Lua script handles the
scheduling, initializing, execution, and termination of these tasks. Each task runs according to how the
Lua script has it scheduled and the code will continue to run until the user gives the command to
terminate the task. Figure 2 shows the architecture of PHIL. This portion of the reboot focuses on the
simulation side and not the flight software side. As these tasks run, they may have data that other tasks
require to successfully run. A way of handling this transfer of data from one task to another is to adopt
a Publish and Subscribe System. This system allows for the transferring of variables without getting in
the way of the scheduler and makes sure that all tasks receive the same data for that given moment of
time. For example: The satellite propagation publishes

The Plo As The Palestinian Sovereign
The Legitimacy of the PLO as the Palestinian Sovereign
Full Name
Name of University
Recitation Section
TA Name
Palestine has a right, under international and natural law, to self determination under the borders
which existed prior to Israel s formation in 1948. The natural governing authority of the new
Palestinian State to be formed within these borders is the Palestinian Authority (PLO) currently led by
Mahmoud Abbas. Given that land was stolen from Palestinian natural sovereignty via actions taken by
Israel in wars which Palestine proper was not a participant to, Israel must also pay reparations to the
Palestinian State as well as its citizens so as to compensate for the crimes against humanity which it
has committed over the course of the last several decades. Cemented by the renunciation of violence
which the PLO has undertaken, Palestinians can no longer be held accountable for the actions of
Hamas and other terrorist groups, and an independent Palestinian state commits to joining the War on
Terror righteously fought by Israel and its allies.
The Minimal Acceptable Borders of a Palestinian State Beginning with the minimal acceptable
borders of a Palestinian State, these must be congruent with the original United Nations Settlement
plan put forth by the UN prior to Israeli conquest in 1949 With Rowntree et al. (2014) noting that the
original 1948 borders of Israel were already in violation of the proposed United Nations Settlement,

How Lyrics Perpetuates Male Dominance Against Female
Many of us have heard the famous single Love The Way You Lie which aroused a lot of controversy
when it was released two years ago. Performed by famous American rapper Eminem and singer
Rihanna. The song attempts to portray domestic violence and abusive relationship. The position of
male and female in a relationship and their social interaction are always the hot topic of contemporary
music. In this paper I would like to discuss how this song perpetuates male dominance against female
through four aspects in gender role socialization, including emotion, action, sex and social interaction.
Also I would argue about the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Being expected of different social roles and offered different responsibilities, males had to be
dominance at most time. Such phenomenon could be found more commonly in Asian culture as well.
In some Asian countries it would be a huge shame for males if they could not make enough money to
raise the entire family and fulfill the wives expenses. Females choose to live as housewives and rely
on the males thus empower the males to be dominance. In conclusion, the song exhibits the males
dominance against females from four perspectives: emotion, action, sex and social interaction. Also
the song portrays that in some situations females choose to be dominated by males thus empower
males to be

Amy Winehouse Sociology
Every individual during some point in their life has experienced a bad day or perhaps a rough patch.
The feeling of an overwhelming sensation of hopelessness can be without a doubt exhausting. For
several individuals, the aid from family and loved ones is necessary when trying to recover. However,
for Amy Winehouse, it seems as if every inner struggle the star had brewing inside was swept under
the rug by her mother and father. It is evident that ignoring mental health issues will never have a
positive end result and that is demonstrated in Amy. In order for the audience to step in her shoes for a
few hours, Amy is re presented to the audience by fragments of footage of herself and interviews of
her closest friends and loved ones. With that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, it is her father that states there is no need for Amy to attend rehab, therefore, she does not.
There are countless other scenes presented in the documentary that demonstrate the disconnect
between Amy and her parents such as her father showing up with a camera crew during a time that
was intended for Amy to overcome her mental health issues and her addiction to drugs (A Most
Modern Tragedy: Why We re All To Blame For The Death Of Amy Winehouse). In an interview with
the director of the Film Amy it is evident that the relationships she had in general were peculiar. For
example, it was stated she had lots of different compartments that she had everyone in. And in each
compartment everyone felt they were her best friend (Interview With Asif Kapadai, Director of 2015
Amy Winehouse Documentary Amy ). However, despite the strange relationships Amy had with her
family and loved ones, they did share one thing in common, they all wanted what they thought was
best for her. This proved to be an enormous dilemma and maybe a justification for her inability to
recover from her addiction to drugs and underlying mental health

How Did Culture Influence Ancient Egypt Life And Culture
Kelly Styslowsky
Response #2
Adam Weekly
October 3, 2017 The Nile greatly influenced Egyptian life and culture. It also influenced artwork as
well, for a few different reasons. The backbone of Egypt was and still is the Nile River, which through
its annual floods, supported all life in that land. Throughout history Egyptian defined cultures, and
influenced the way they had developed along its banks. Most of the crops grow with the water from
the Nile River because of the rich soil it brings to them. The beginnings of Egyptian civilization
predate writing and are consequently obscure. Art work developed along the Nile just like the crops.
On the banks of the Nile River around 3500 B.C.E. Egyptians created the tombs, paintings, pottery, ...

In the paintings of people in Egypt, ancient Egyptians would make the important person bigger than
the other people that were less important. When people were drawn, they would be drawn with the
head to the side, eye to the front, shoulders to the front and feet to the side. The background of the
drawing shows some of the history of the time period. Although Egyptian art was originally created
for religious and magical purposes, it also symbolizes and functions to reveal the Egyptian s beliefs
about the world. It also shows their attempts to understand and relate to these beliefs. In the Egyptian
social and religious context, works of art played a practical role, whose straightforward physicality is
not easy for the modern viewer to realize. The Nile river greatly influenced Egyptian life and culture
and it was also influenced in artwork as well. The Nile River, through its annual floods, supported all
life and artwork in that ancient land. It defined these cultures to the way they have developed along its

paintings, pottery, and other artifacts were also a big part of the Nile River and its influence on
Egyptian life. Art work reflected Egyptians understandings of religion and the

The Conservative Party Government Era During 1951-1964
The Conservative Party Government Era during 1951 1964 is a period which has been politically
criticized throughout the years specifically that of Britain Politics. During this time, the Conservative
government was said to have pursued mainly Keynesian economic policies which was centrally
focused on reducing inflation, to maintain growth and promote stability but despite the Conservatives
attempts to revive the Britain economy through industrialism, increase standard of living and
encouragement for consumerism there was the development of a stagnant economy which eventually
produced an increase in unemployment, inflation and interest rates for consumer products and loans.
The Labour government described the period of 1951 64 as Thirteen Wasted Years as they felt that
during this period Britain experienced economic chaos and turmoil. This was quite the opposite view
for that of the Conservatives, particularly Macmillan who expressed in his speech that the people had
... never had it so good and encouraged his supporters and opponents to ... Go around the country, go

Indonesia despite the fact that Malaysia gained their independence years after Indonesia had gained

recover from the effects. It will act as a guide to not only Indonesia, but to other countries that may be
lagging behind in terms of development. The findings of the study will enhance better understanding
of the economic situation of the two countries and in the world, which will help not only leaders and
the affected country, but also other countries in the world. Results will guide policy formulations in
the countries to help improve their economy. Additionally, the paper aims to understand the Malaysian
and Indonesian domestic political processes involved in the formulation of foreign policies and
appreciate the history of the two countries. Finally, it will discuss the different causes of variant GDPs
in the two nations. The history of the two countries gets intertwined at some point; for many years,
there have been relations, migrations, and interactions between these two countries such that their
citizens can trace their relatives or origins from either country. Expounding on the similarities between
the two countries will be vital in the research. First and foremost, the two countries are located in the
continent of Asia and they have an almost similar national language,

Music Has Its Own History
Like the history of human beings, music also has its own history. From ballad opera to the present,
music has significantly evolved. Without the constant improvements, popular music nowadays would
not be where it is at. One of its main influences is from the eighties. The eighties is known as the rock
era. It is different than other eras because of its new sounds and rhythms. Thanks to digital technology,
it was easier to make both the replication of existing timbres and the creation of new timbres. Also, the
eighties introduced three new rhythms: the rock beat derived from punk, the adaptations of the
afterbeat rhythms of reggae, and the sixteen beat rhythms. These three rhythms were widely used in
almost every song in the eighties.
Along with new sounds and rhythms, musical styles have also changed. The primary musical styles of
the eighties are pop, rhythm and blues, and rock. Each musical style has its own stars. For pop music,
the primary artists were Michael Jackson, Prince, and Madonna. For rhythm and blues music, the stars
were Whitney Houston, Janet Jackson, and Tina Turner. For rock music, the most well known artists
were Bruce Springsteen and U2.
John Hopson, a drummer from a band called Fastidious Ape , loves to listen to rock music due to its
irresistible drumming patterns. Stewart Copeland, the drummer of The Police, is his inspiration. The
biggest reason why he admires Copeland is because of his distinctive drumming styles. He stated that

Differences Of Edgar Allan Poe, Hawthorne And Washington...
Poe, Hawthorne, and Irving
A light switch is either on or off; in a sports match, a team either wins or loses; water is either hot or
cold; people are wealthy or poor; thin or fat; muggle or wizard, Dr. Jekyll or Mr. Hyde. These are
examples of binary opposites. Rational and irrational thinking are binary opposites meaning that they
are concepts that cannot coexist. However, many of the authors that we have read about push the
boundaries of this concept. They force our minds to look at the gray areas instead of just black and
white and to reflect on reality vs fantasy. They bring the unknown, the fears, and the unaccepted into
our world. These authors mix true events with things that they couldn t know so they made them up.
Edgar Allan Poe, Nathaniel Hawthorne, and Washington Irving are well known authors of American
Romanticism. They are also all known for pushing these boundaries through their creative writing
styles. The Romantic Movement, as generally agreed by most scholars, focuses on the individual, the
subjective, and the spontaneous (Pennell, 2006, 2). Romantics encouraged contemplation and self
awareness, direct contact with nature, and a focus on and an exploration of inner feelings.
Edgar Allan Poe born in Boston January 19, 1809. Poe s parents both died before his third birthday.
He was raised by his foster parents John and Frances Allan in Richmond, Virginia. After Poe enlisted
in the Army his first collection of poems was published, followed by his second

Steve Jobs Rule
A rule to live by. Well what is a rule to live by? This is the rule that suits you the best. It motivates you
everyday, and when you are in a tough situation, you can call on it to help you. The rule that I use to
live by is that when life gives you a problem, make the most out of it. This is very important to me.
Life is never a walk in the park. There are always problems that everyone face, whether they are
personal, or global. Many problems such as depression, hunger, or even disability hurt people every
day. Many people let these problems take over their lives. But, when I face a problem, I remember this
fundamental, and make the best out of the situation. Throughout my life, this moral has been very
important to me.
Without this rule, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Even some of the richest most famous people face problems that they have to overcome. Look at
Steve Jobs, who faced many problems in his life. One of his problems was that when he was the co
founder of Apple, they fired him at age 30. In a speech that Steve jobs recited at Stanford, he said
What had been the focus of my entire life was gone, and it was devastating, (Jobs page 3). He knew
this was his problem, because he did not know what to do next. Steve Jobs could have quit technology
forever, but he came back and made a new company of his own. He made the most out of his problem.
In his speech he said I started a company named Pixar, and fell in love with an amazing woman who
would become my wife. Pixar went on to create the world s first computer animated feature film, Toy
Story, and is now the most successful animation studio in the world, (Jobs page 3). This speech is a
key example of this rule to live by. This rule is important, because even when you are facing a
problem, the outcome could still be successful. This is a real life example of this rule to live by that
everyone can relate to. This can tie into fear of failure. Being fired from Apple rattled Steve Jobs. But
when we face a problem I think we all can say it takes us by surprise. This guideline can help us learn
how to problem solve and make the most out of the

When we define abnormal behavior we must keep in mind that normal differs from culture to culture.
What it is normal for a person from India is completely strange for a person from Europe, Colombia or

follows: Deviation from statistical norms and social norms, maladaptive behavior, and personal
distress. If the individual s behavior is considered abnormal , mental health professionals use the

It increased America s imports and exports, as well as generated a national interest in tourism; however, the construction of such project encountered a series of issues. These ranged from corruption, the reluctant choice to hire Chinese workers and environmental obstacles. Thanks to the vision of some individuals and the authorization of President Abraham Lincoln, the Transcontinental Railroad became a reality; once the project was completed it connected the entire country and increased production for both the Pacific and the Atlantic. As a result, the era of cowboys roaming through the Great Plains escorting livestock was gone, since Railroad networks presented a cheaper, quicker and more lucrative method of transporting livestock to the north. There were two companies tasked with the construction of the Transcontinental Railroad, the Union Pacific working from the East coast and the Central Pacific working from the West coast, the concept was for these two companies to meet somewhere in the middle. Greed became a significant factor amongst both the Union and Central Pacific Railroad companies because constructing one mile of tracks would generate $32,000 in profit; this led the Union Pacific to request to unnecessarily lengthen the route in order to increase its profit. Medtronic has successfully demonstrated their ability to grow and provide substantial return to their owners. Medtronic s net earnings have steadily increased from $984.0 million in 2002, to $1599.8 million in 2003, to $1959.3 million in 2004. Their total assets have increased 13.7% from $12,405.5 million in 2003 to $14,110.8 million in 2004. This account only made up 8% of the current liabilities for this year. These two facts show that the accounts payable does not seem to be a significant form of financing. The company is not relying heavily upon accounts receivable and is probably not having a difficult time generating cash to pay to suppliers. One last measure used to determine the ranking provided for Medtronic s solvency was the debt/equity ratio. Using this ratio, we see that the average total liabilities only make up 56% of the total Stockholder s equity. This shows that the company s debt is bout half of the company s total book value. All of these measures are consistent with the idea that Medtronic is able to produce cash to meet debts as they come due. If the current and quick ratio proved that the company was carrying a large percentage of current assets as compared to current liabilities, and if the debt didn t make up a majority of the stockholder s equity, the ranking would have been higher. Earning Quality and Persistence When ranking Medtronic s earning quality and persistence I would give the company a ranking of 8 on a scale of 1 to 10. Net operating income is considered to be made up of usual and frequent activities and is therefore considered to be persistent. The unsettling events of the tale, however, ask the obvious question of whether the reader can truly trust the woman s letters as factual. Perhaps, she was merely imagining everything. The possibility of an unstable mind cannot be left out and this damages her credibility as a narrator. In addition, since the transcript of the story has travelled through several hands, it can have been altered. This seems unlikely, though, since the transcript surely would have been affected by Douglas knowledge of both prior and sub sequent events that would have given the story an almost omniscient narrator which it far from has. It faithfully remains restricted to the governess point of view. She, however, tells the events as she recalls them, not as they occur, and even though the original first person narrator seems to know the manuscript s recipient, we actually do not know whether we can trust him either. Really, the novella as a whole taunts the reader with uncertainness in both the story s events but also truly through its ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 20. Causes Of Teen Suicide Teen Suicide Teenage suicide is a major public health concern in the United States. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention there were approximately 5,079 suicides in 2015. This occurred mainly between the age of 15 and 19. This is the second leading cause of death among this age group. There are different reasons why teenagers may have suicidal thoughts and commit suicide. This essay will identify the different causes of suicide among teenagers and propose solutions to the problem. Teen suicide may be defined as the intentional act of a teenager ending his or her own life. Teen suicide attempts are more common among females when compared to males even though male teenagers are the ones who actually carry out the act of suicide. The higher rates of suicide in the United States are attributed to the changes in the suicide methods. Suffocation which happens through strangulation and hanging is the most lethal method of suicide that is considered by teenagers. The other forms of suicide that are used by teenagers include firearm suicide in which the teenagers use firearms to end their lives (Holliday and Vandermause 168). Teen suicide affects both male and female teenagers even though males are at an increased risk of suicide. Teen suicide rates in the United States doubled between 1960s and 1990s. There is no clear explanation on this trend even though the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention attributes this to increased reporting. There has been ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 21. The Impossibility Of Moral Responsibility Moral responsibility is a concept that has, in some way, existed in every culture and civilization that recorded history can tell us about. From the Law of Hammurabi to beliefs in judgmental gods mankind has always assumed some form of moral responsibility whether metaphysical or within a society. While pragmatic considerations of moral responsibility seem to be necessary for living within a society, the philosophic concept of moral responsibility beckons many inherent problems that must be resolved. Galen Strawson in The Impossibility of Moral Responsibility presents a strong argument as to why moral responsibility is impossible, while Susan Wolf responds to the problems presented, and argues that moral responsibility does exist in some ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He shows the argument in the way it exists in a person s life, which allows for more coherent discussion, and as he later states, new forms of objection (314). One important note to make on Strawson s argument is his hard determinist stance. He believes that every decision and action of a person is predetermined by their heredity and early experience. For him, no form of free will exists. While he does believe that a person is able to examine their behaviors and tendencies, their ability to self revise is predetermined by heredity and early experience. His determinist stance allows his argument to be sound and extremely difficult to refute. Another important thing to draw from the Strawson argument is what is meant by moral responsibility. For Strawson, true moral responsibility means that one is responsible to the degree that it is sensible to either punish one with eternal torment in hell, or reward one with enteral bliss in heaven (314). His definition of moral responsibility is not confined to religious faith in heaven or hell, but rather is used to convey an absolute nature of accountability. This concept of moral responsibility as Strawson presents is pivotal in understanding his objection of moral responsibility. Strawson s argument is not against a legislative or judicial sense of responsibility, and does not take the form of responsibility that a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The core beliefs that tie the Democratic Party together are: Democrats believe that they are greater together than on their own, that the country succeeds when everyone has an equal opportunity, everyone does their fair share, and everyone plays by the same rules. This can be seen by how it integrates spiritual practice with God s word and with the goal of guiding the reader toward transformation in the image of Christ. Mulholland doesn t simply cover the traditionally recognized disciplines, but instead exposes the reader to many aspects of formation rarely discussed in detail like how our formation involves and impacts others and how personality structures affect formation. This process reveals our cross, or area where we must die and be raised into the newness of Christ s image. To do so requires the step of consecration where we must recognize our cross point and accept the transforming work of Christ. These two steps begin the process of being transformed into Christ s image, which is the essence of our forming journey and a vital part of the definition of spiritual formation. Mulholland then gives extended attention to how our spiritual formation affects those around us. We are conformed to Christ s image for the sole purpose of being in a relationship with both God and with others. The example given in support, is Christ and in his sacrifice, which was for all; he died totally and completely for all and such is our call in the transforming process of spiritual formation. Several companies have used their scientific expertise to genetically modify seeds to increase crop yields in an attempt to feed the masses and end world hunger. Can they do it? In the short run, yes they can, but it is important to ask at what cost? What are they not telling us? If something seems too good to be true, it probably is. In no other painting has Velàzquez rendered space in so architectural a manner as in this, the only work in which he has depicted a ceiling. Neither is there any other composition of his that is so vividly keyed to the space lying out of the picture frame. Recent studies of Las Meninas, inspired by the ideas of Michel Foucault, have paid considerable attention to the seemingly novel relationship between the scene on the canvas and the spectator. This is where all tasks stop and any code which needs to complete, can do so safely. Tasks in PHIL are pieces of code that will execute repeatedly. Tasks can be anything from the satellite propagation to the sensors. The Lua script handles the scheduling, initializing, execution, and termination of these tasks. Each task runs according to how the Lua script has it scheduled and the code will continue to run until the user gives the command to terminate the task. Figure 2 shows the architecture of PHIL. This portion of the reboot focuses on the simulation side and not the flight software side. As these tasks run, they may have data that other tasks require to successfully run. A way of handling this transfer of data from one task to another is to adopt a Publish and Subscribe System. This system allows for the transferring of variables without getting in the way of the scheduler and makes sure that all tasks receive the same data for that given moment of time. For example: The satellite propagation publishes ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Plo As The Palestinian Sovereign The Legitimacy of the PLO as the Palestinian Sovereign Full Name Name of University Recitation Section TA Name Palestine has a right, under international and natural law, to self determination under the borders which existed prior to Israel s formation in 1948. The natural governing authority of the new Palestinian State to be formed within these borders is the Palestinian Authority (PLO) currently led by Mahmoud Abbas. Given that land was stolen from Palestinian natural sovereignty via actions taken by Israel in wars which Palestine proper was not a participant to, Israel must also pay reparations to the Palestinian State as well as its citizens so as to compensate for the crimes against humanity which it has committed over the course of the last several decades. Cemented by the renunciation of violence which the PLO has undertaken, Palestinians can no longer be held accountable for the actions of Hamas and other terrorist groups, and an independent Palestinian state commits to joining the War on Terror righteously fought by Israel and its allies. The Minimal Acceptable Borders of a Palestinian State Beginning with the minimal acceptable borders of a Palestinian State, these must be congruent with the original United Nations Settlement plan put forth by the UN prior to Israeli conquest in 1949 With Rowntree et al. (2014) noting that the original 1948 borders of Israel were already in violation of the proposed United Nations Settlement, Israel s borders are ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Without the constant improvements, popular music nowadays would not be where it is at. One of its main influences is from the eighties. The eighties is known as the rock era. It is different than other eras because of its new sounds and rhythms. Thanks to digital technology, it was easier to make both the replication of existing timbres and the creation of new timbres. Also, the eighties introduced three new rhythms: the rock beat derived from punk, the adaptations of the afterbeat rhythms of reggae, and the sixteen beat rhythms. These three rhythms were widely used in almost every song in the eighties. Along with new sounds and rhythms, musical styles have also changed. The primary musical styles of the eighties are pop, rhythm and blues, and rock. Each musical style has its own stars. For pop music, the primary artists were Michael Jackson, Prince, and Madonna. For rhythm and blues music, the stars were Whitney Houston, Janet Jackson, and Tina Turner. For rock music, the most well known artists were Bruce Springsteen and U2. John Hopson, a drummer from a band called Fastidious Ape , loves to listen to rock music due to its irresistible drumming patterns. Stewart Copeland, the drummer of The Police, is his inspiration. • 47. Differences Of Edgar Allan Poe, Hawthorne And Washington... Poe, Hawthorne, and Irving A light switch is either on or off; in a sports match, a team either wins or loses; water is either hot or cold; people are wealthy or poor; thin or fat; muggle or wizard, Dr. Jekyll or Mr. Hyde. These are examples of binary opposites. Rational and irrational thinking are binary opposites meaning that they are concepts that cannot coexist. However, many of the authors that we have read about push the boundaries of this concept. They force our minds to look at the gray areas instead of just black and white and to reflect on reality vs fantasy. They bring the unknown, the fears, and the unaccepted into our world. These authors mix true events with things that they couldn t know so they made them up. Edgar Allan Poe, Nathaniel Hawthorne, and Washington Irving are well known authors of American Romanticism. They are also all known for pushing these boundaries through their creative writing styles. The Romantic Movement, as generally agreed by most scholars, focuses on the individual, the subjective, and the spontaneous (Pennell, 2006, 2). Romantics encouraged contemplation and self awareness, direct contact with nature, and a focus on and an exploration of inner feelings. Edgar Allan Poe born in Boston January 19, 1809.
