So they created GivingTuesday, a one-day annual movement focused just on charitable giving. In the three years since GivingTuesday was launched, the campaign has engaged more than 30,000 organizations around the world, raising $45 million among nonprofits worldwide. In 2014, collective reporting showed a 36% increase in online giving compared the previous year and a 63% increase in total donations.
