The student completed a Web 2.0 assignment for class using Pinterest, which they were already familiar with. They created three boards with three pins each related to their unit plan. For this assignment, we had to either already have, or create our own Pinterest. I have used
Pinterest for quite awhile now, and an very familiar with it. We were instructed to make three
boards, each having three pins in them that pertain to our unit plan. We then had to choose a Web
2.0 application to review. For this, I chose to review Pinterest, because I am so fond of it.

Web 2.0 Assignment Reflection:

I was excited to work with Pinterest for this assignment. I have been taking advantage of this
application for quite some time now. During my clinical experience last semester, the teacher that
I was working with referred me to her Pinterest, and I fell in love with what she had done.
She had made boards for all different times of the year, and different individual lessons an pinned
all of the ideas that she came across that would be good for each lesson. I loved creating my own
boards and finding pins for them for my unit plan. This assignment would fall under the project
based learning category of 21st century education. This is due to the fact that we created a final
product to show our ability to use Pinterest. Like many other assignments in this class, we were
also using critical thinking as we were picking through the pins and separating them up into areas
that would benefit our unit plan the best. As a teacher, I plan to take advantage of Pinterest in the
way that my clinical teacher did. Collecting and sharing ideas with other educators will always
benefit my work with my students. Using ideas that were not all mine, will provide my students
with the opportunity to learn in ways that I might have never thought of. I have already started

2. collecting more pins and creating new boards that I can use in the future, or in other classes. I
will be able to find ideas now that I can then organize and work with for my future years as an
educator.
