George Couros is a principle that has decided to take social media, such as Twitter into
his education repertoire. In his bio, he states that he is a division principal of innovative teaching
and learning. He describes himself as a speaker, consultant, and dog lover. His twitter seems to
be a professional and personal twitter all in one, which makes it very interesting to follow. He
tweets mostly links to just about everything. Some of his links are education related, such as the
tweet I screenshot. In this tweet, he reaches out to all of his followers to help him create a list of
iPad sources for grades 4 through 5. I thought that it was interesting how he presented this
project, because he posted a link to an open google docs document, for all of his followers to add
to. He tweets frequently about technology and applications of it in schools. What makes me see
his twitter as a personal twitter as well as a professional one, is his random tweets of funny links
or requests for a wedding DJ. His feed if full of links and some of them are news, relating to
education. Some links that I opened were to educational research of all types and progressive
idea. He is very interested in leadership, and often tweets inspirational quotes that relate to
schooling or even sports.
