The Importance Of The Japanese American Internment
My priority was to try to show the American people that we are just as loyal as anybody else. We
need to prove our loyalty because the reason why we re in camp is because the American public
says that we are enemy aliens. Were loyalty to Japan and so forth. And that perceptions got to be
changed. Susumu Satow. This statement is very powerful stating we need to show the American
people we are not your enemies but your friends. Do not be scared of us just because we are
Japanese. Prejudice played a large role in the Japanese American relocation because of the 1894
treaty, conflict over China, and the Russian Japanese War. The Japanese were never awarded for
their bravery going into those internment camps. They were spit on and called names. Imagine
being in that situation of hatred. Japanese American relationships were strained (during the)years
before World War II. One of the reasons the United Statesand Japan did not get along was in 1894
when a treaty was signed allowing Japanese Immigrants into America allowing them the same
rights as US citizens. In 1906, this treaty was violated when the San Francisco Board of Education
passed a provision sending Japanese and Chinese children to segregated schools. This movement
angered the Japanese Government because it violated the treaty. In late 1907 and into early 1908,
letters were exchanged between the United States and Japan known as the Gentlemen s agreement .
The Gentlemen s Agreement was for the US government to

Willie Sterner, son of Hirsch Lieb and Hinda Raizel Sterner. WIllie was born on September 15,
1919 in the city of Wolbrom, Poland. As a child he had six younger siblings by the names of
Yosel Meyer, Abraham, Ida, Genya, Rochel and Sara. In 1929 their family moved to Krakow.
His father happened to own a painting business in which Willie entered after his vocational
school in Krakow. After the Germans invaded Poland in September 1939, Willie had to go to
Pustkow labor camp. At Pustkow he was put to work cutting lumber, in late 1940 or early 1941
Willie s father moved back to Wolbrom and used his painting business to financially support
himself. Willie s mom and his sisters died at the death camp by the name of Treblinka. Willie was

Arthur Bauer Character Analysis
Arthur Bauer was hanging out with his friend Erik Fisher. He knew that he would be unpopular
if he did not obey Erik. Recently, Arthur even killed a man named Luiz Cruz. He always hated to
carry out these evil plans, but he felt forced to do it to protect his status. The first thing that Erik
got Arthur to do was to make fun of the death of his old friend, Mike Costello. Ha! Do you
remember the picture of his face! Priceless! Erik laughed. Pretty soon we ll get to see the close
up! Remember how it happened! That swing was Perfect! Arthur responded. Pretty soon I might

Whenever his parents look at him they see an angel sent from heaven above. When they turn
their backs, he kills, robs, and laughs at those who passed away like a demon sent from below.
Even if his father found out about that, he would still find a way to make excuses for or ignore
Erik s behavior. Paul can t even bring himself to tell his parents about all the evil acts that Erik has
done in his life. That said, Paul is still angry and hurt that his brother is never caught or
discovered. There are a number of traits that a villain can embody. Erik has shown himself to be
insecure, cruel, and even deceitful. Though some people may think he is insane because of the
terrible behavior, others may say that he knew what he was doing. A wise man named Scott
Alexander once said, All good is hard. All evil is easy. Dying, losing, cheating, and mediocrity is
easy. Stay away from easy. Erik has gone down the easy path and has chosen to stay there... forever.
It can be argued that Erik is mentally ill because he doesn t know what he s doing and just isn t
sane in the choices he creates.
While people would be correct in saying that, they are ignoring the fact that the mentally ill act

The Food Service Is A Multi Billion Dollar Industry Essay
The food service is a multi billion dollar industry. It comprised of independent or chain full service
and limited services restaurant. It is estimated that in 2015, sales from Full service restaurants
(FSRs) such as Olive gardens and Applebees was estimated around 247 billion. While limited
service restaurants (LSRs) which includes fast foodchains such as McDonalds generated over 210
billion (President, 2016). In addition to the full service and limited service, restaurants are the
food trucks, which is another segment of the food service industry that has gain popularity over
the years. The food truck industry goes as far back as the late 17th century. It is classified as a
restaurant on the go (mobile restaurant). Food truck is essentially a large truck or wagon that is
equipped with the necessary gadgets to cook and conveniently sell food. This industry has
grown tremendously since the 17th century; the food truck industry in 2015 was valued at
856.7million dollars (Statista, 2016). If one should walk through various cities across the United
States, you will notice a growing number of food truck that line our city streets, parking lots and
shopping centers. Over the years food truck or food carts has grown from simple ice cream, hot
dogs and pretzels cart to a variety of ethnic dishes, hamburgers popcorn. Food truck not only sells
lunch but also breakfast, they provide quick services for people on the go.

Nascar Plane Crash
Abstract
This paper will review the July 10, 2007 aviation accident involving a Cessna 310R, N501N,
operated by the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing corporate aviation division as a
personal flight. The aircraft crashed while attempting an emergency in to Orlando Sanford
International Airport, Sanford, Florida after experiencing an in flight fire. The flight had been
released for flight despite it having a known unrepaired maintenance discrepancy. Safety issues
discussed in this paper relate to the resetting of circuit breakers, the inspection and maintenance of
electrical systems in general aviation aircraft, and the establishment of safety management systems
in general aviation corporate aviation operations. Safety ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
At that time the aircraft was roughly 8 nautical miles northwest of SFB and was turning toward the
airport while rapidly descending. Primary radar returns that were recorded for about another
minute and 30 seconds showed the airplane maintaining a heading of about 150В° towards SFB.
The last of these primary radar returns was recorded about 0834:45; the Board s study estimated
that at that time the aircraft was about three miles northwest of SFB and descending through about
1,200 feet above ground level (AGL). The aircraft subsequently crashed in a residential area about
0.7 nautical miles west of the last primary radar return.
According to several witnesses near the accident site, the airplane was traveling extremely fast,
was very low, and its wings were rocking as it descended. Just before impact, the airplane entered
a steep bank and made a sharp turn to the west. Several witnesses reported seeing smoke trailing
from the airplane, and one witness stated, Smoke was trailing from the port side. (NTSB, 2009)
The main debris path was about 300 feet long and oriented on a western heading of approximately
255 degrees. The aircrafts initial point of impact was a north south line of trees in a right wing low
attitude at a height of about 65 feet AGL. About 270 feet beyond the initial tree strikes, the aircraft
struck a palm tree at a height

Privacy And Confidentiality In Health Care
Ethical problem paper Privacy and Confidentiality Introduction The question of privacy and
confidentiality as it relates to electronic health records (EHR) requires serious attention. In spite of
the potential advantage of EHR in the way patient information is stored, communicated and
processed by the parties involved in healthcare delivery, there is widespread concern that patient
privacy may be compromised during the delivery. Healthcare is changing and so are the tools used
to coordinate better care for patients (Rodriguez. 2011). In order for electronic health records to
achieve their desired goals, protection of patient privacy is paramount. Lack of patients trust in
privacy and confidentiality can lead to reluctance in disclosing their pertinent medical information.
Nurses have the ethical obligation to protect their patients private health information. Is electronic
health records (EHR) compromising patient confidentiality despite laws and professional codes that

Database Backup and Disaster Recovery for ABC Company
A backup and recovery plan is necessary for the databases that the ABC Company uses for its
business needs. In the event of a natural disaster, human error, hardware failure, or any other
corruption or loss of data, backup and recovery measures will mean the difference between an
inconvenience and a catastrophic loss of company data. The following report addresses various
options for backupand recovery, and proposes what measures ABC Inc should adopt for its SQL
Server 2012 servers.
Database Backup SQL Server 2012 supports three scopes of backup and an additional special
purpose backup type. The first of the three backup types is whole database which as its name
implies, backs up the entire database. A partial database backup backs up read/write filegroups
and, possibly, one or more read only files or filegroups according to Microsoft (n.d.). File or
filegroup backups are conducted on singe file or filegroups. Finally, a copy only backup is an
out of schedule backup that is initiated for a special purpose, and does not affect the normal
cycle of backups. When a backup is conducted, it can be a full backup or a differential backup. A
full backup will copy the entire database, while a differential backup will backup only the
changes that have been made since the last backup was conducted. Whole, partial, and file
/filegroup backups all can be full or differential backups. A copy only backup can only be a full
backup because it does not change the transaction log, and

Goldratt s The Goal
When goals are established there are a set of rules put in place to meet a certain criteria.
Depending on the severity of the goal, one could establish policies that go against the system. In
the novel The Goal by Eliyahu Goldratt, Alex does just that. Alex the main character of the
novel is put in between a rock and a hard place. There are only two ways out, which are to either
quit or to fix the problems in a span of 6 months. There are numerous ways and processes that are
implemented for the factory to get out of the slump, but being that this is from a managers
perspective I have gained knowledge on three major ideas that will definitely impact my managerial
thinking for the rest of my life. Those are Mentorship, Fact Finding, and Policies.... Show more

It can also be defined as using outside sources to gain a bigger view on things to make sure one isn

doesn t know how to get out of. After meetings and finding out his circumstances Alex calls an
old friend from college, Jonah. (60 62) There is little small talk as Jonah asks what the problem
is and suggests a few ideas and even terms Alex has to brush up on. When looking in from the
outside you get a bigger picture from when you are standing on the inside. Jonah being interested
in the plant is actually working on ideas to improve them and how they work, but as a scientist.
Alex seeks help from Jonah, but Jonah doesn t give all the answers or information at once. He
makes Alex find out the answers before Alex is able to call Jonah again. Mentorship just doesn t
have to be from older and wiser beings, it can be from all sorts of people. Eventually Alex seeks
mentorship from his family, including his wife and his kids into his ideas, which on the contrary
Alex s kids help him. (113 119) When Alex goes on camping trip with Davey and the boy scouts,

Forensic Nursing Research Paper
Forensic Nursing: A bridge between medicine and law Although there are a vast number of nurses
in the world, only a fraction of them are forensic nurses. Forensic nursing is a nursing field with sub
specialties that focus on nursing practices that care for victims of violent crimes, such as sexual
assault, at the clinical and legal level. Forensic nurses bring together medical practices and the
justice system in making sure that the evidence has not been unintentionally tainted. In a courtroom
nothing is more crucial than the evidence collected. If somehow that evidence got unintentionally
tainted by clinicians or medical examiners that could drastically change the results. Before forensic
nursing came along, there was no official way to stop... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One of the main reasons why there may not be more forensic nurses than there could be is that the
topic of forensic nursing is not one that someone thinks about when they think about nursing in
general. By protecting the evidence and serving as witnesses when needed forensic nurses truly
serve a major role in bringing together medicine and law to get justice for the victim. The
investigation...prior to surgical intervention or other life saving measures is essential to preserve
the image and description of injury before it is lost through a sea of wound cleansing antiseptic,
insertion of instruments or suturing, Lynch said (Waszak). It is important for both the clinicians
and law enforcement that the evidence does not become tainted or lost. . In addition to providing
care, forensic nurses act as multidisciplinary team members and work as consultants to other
nursing and medical professionals and law enforcement. They receive advanced training in
collecting and preserving evidence, treatment protocols, and legal proceedings and

Far away, on the border of both France and Switzerland, lies the massive CERN Accelerator
Complex. This series of particle accelerators increases the momentum of packets of nuclei to
almost light speed, then collides them. It collects the debris of the resulting destruction in hopes of
finding the basic building blocks of matter. This is a basic overview of what happens at CERN, but
when examined more closely, this process becomes far more difficult and complicated. How does
this Atom Smasher work? How is it built? Most importantly, how do the thousands of euros poured
into this costly research benefit the practical world? The CERN Accelerator Complex uses

The final step is when they are shot into the Large Hadron Collider, twenty seven kilometers, about
seventeen miles, in circumference. This ring has two vacuum tubes that fire protons in opposite
direction, crossing them over in detector caverns. Here, computers take measurements to make
sure nothing unexpected happens, such as a packet colliding into a wall, or smashing into another
packet too early. When they are finally made to collide at four terra EV each, the computer tracks
information about the debris, small particles such as quarks, and keeps it as data. Thus ends the
travel of the packets and the process is repeated, furthering the cause of science. The technology to
make this process work is incredibly advanced, stretching from super conduction to super
computers. Most of the electronics at CERN are superconducting, which is where wires are cooled
to such an extent that they provide virtually no resistance for the electrons passing through them.
The niobium titanium wires at CERN are cooled to negative 456.34 degrees Fahrenheit, making
them one hundred times more conductive. This is vital, because the power required to keep the
accelerators, computers, magnets, ect. running is so colossal, the CERN complex needs it s own
substation. It runs on 1.3 terra watts hours per year, enough to power 300,000 homes in the United
Kingdom. The radio frequency cavity, one of the

Solubility Product Constant Lab Report
Determine the solubility product constant (Kв‚›в‚љ) of calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH)в‚‚) by using
the concentrations of calcium and hydroxide found during titration.
The solubility product constant, or Kв‚›в‚љ, represents the level at which a substance dissolves in a
solution at equilibrium. A higher Kв‚›в‚љ value means the more soluble a substance is in a solution.
The solubility product constant, similar to solubility, is temperature dependent. When writing the
expression for Kв‚›в‚љ solids and liquids do not appear since their concentrations do not change,
only aqueous solutions are expressed.
The Kв‚›в‚љ equation would be written as Kв‚›в‚љ= [C]^c[D]^d. The reason the reactant aA is not
included is because it is a solid, therefore not represented in the expression. ... Show more content

So the 0.050 concentration of HCl affects how fast the rate of solubility will occur. If there was a
higher concentration the faster the reaction would occur.
The temperature affects how effective the solute molecules break apart. The higher the temperature
the more kinetic energy is formed, which increases the effectiveness of finding the solubility
constant.
If the Ca(OH)в‚‚ was not filtered correctly during the experiment the concentrations of the
experiment would be off. If cloudiness still remained in the solute after filtration then the more HCl
would have been used to find the solubility of calcium hydroxide. Filtering correctly helps with the
effectiveness of breaking apart molecules to find specific concentrations to find the total solubility
product constant. The best option to finding the correct final product is to filter until clear.
If too much or too little of the saturated solute was used how could that affect the experiment? More
solute means more solvent, but however, with the final calculations, the final product should be the
same if data was recorded

Martin Luther s Lectures On Galatians
Salvation comes from the Greek word soteria which means deliverance, and preservation. It is the
spiritual and eternal deliverance granted immediately by God to those who accept His conditions
of repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus, in whom alone it is to be obtained. It is an experience in
which one receives Gods power to be delivered from the bondage of sin. Salvation is of grace
through the sacrifice of Jesusthe Christ. By His death He made full atonement for the sins of
humankind.

It was the development of an insightful way in which humankind transfers knowledge. Lacan
had identified how the ruling class in power, during whatever era had systemically controlled
and established forms of transmitting knowledge. Rieger believed that these established forms
had become restrictive, and as a result helped to further empower those who were in power. I
compare his discovery to some of the pre analytical thought for liberation theology. Discovering
the idiosyncrasies that we possess, yet the ability to step outside the box and objectively view
how we have created an unhealthy and socially manipulative paradigm, to which we have
surrendered. As a result I believe that we are continuously challenged with the responsibility to
recognize our discourse of the hysteric or discourse of the self as Rieger describes. We have to be
careful in our efforts to evangelize a world and set various parameters and constructs that they do
not inherently contain built in limitations and systems that make us slaves to and believe our own
press and thereby sanitizing our mistakes. American culture is notorious for having a view of self
that promotes a type of aggrandizement, one that goes beyond patriotism, by causing a large

The use of advanced technology in corrections is inevitable. With continued overcrowding,
reduction in budgets for manpower and new facilities, and push to keep the worst locked up and

advantages and disadvantages presented in the text by Siegel and Bartollas (2011), there are other

From 1975 to 1980, 17N attacks were deliberately designed toidentify the group with the concerns
of the Greek masses and to capitalize on publicperceptions of American complicity in the

2007, p. 131)
Simply put, the members of 17N had a very narrow scope to their attacks and their reasoning
behind it. Allowing their targets to speak for their objectives and beliefs. Furthermore,
Kassimeris (2007) points out that as 17N tried to link political activism, class conflict, and the

The Evil Queen
Everything we hear is an opinion, not a fact. Everything we see is a perspective, not the truth.
Marcus Aurelius
Ever since Quinn s death at the hands of some of the Evil Queen s men Ruby had dedicated all her
time to hunting the Evil Queen down. It had been a hard mission, the one that resulted in Quinn s
death. They had been forced to team up with Snow White and Charming. Ruby had never heard
stupider call signs, but apparently they had selected them after their first mission in which they had
run into the Evil Queen. It was an equally stupid moniker in Ruby s opinion, but the Evil Queen
had coined it first. Right before everyone else, criminals and agents alike, adopted the stupid
fairy tale names. It was likely a response to the Evil Queen s presence in the world of crime
because she came in hard and fast, leaving no doubt in anyone s mind that she was one of the new
powers in the world.
Since that first mission Snow White and Charming had dedicated their careers to bringing the Evil
Queen down and until the mission that went bad, they hadn t had all too much luck. The Evil
Queen was always two steps ahead of them, countering their moves and escaping far too easily for
the Agency s liking. Eventually they got a lead when Snow White managed to make one of the Evil

Scarlet Letter Essay On Puritan Society
H.L Mencken defines Puritanism as the haunting fear that someone, somewhere, may be happy.
These words address the Puritan s attitude regarding strict and unrelenting societal standards.
Modern society views Puritanism with a negative connotation; Puritanism is often used as a
synonym for words such as: judgemental, critical and disapproving. While modern American
society has grown and changed, our Puritanical roots from the 1600 s remain. Our society can be
condescending, hypocritical and relishes in the ignominy of others. In Nathaniel Hawthorne s
novel, The Scarlet Letter, Hawthorne discusses the harsh reality of living within the Puritan
communities. The Scarlet Letter follows the journey of a lonely single mother, who falls victim to

The main character, Hester Prynne, is a young woman who commits adultery and gives birth to
an illegitimate child. As a repercussion, the Puritan community, that Hester calls home, shuns and
labels her as a sinful outcast. While modern society considers adultery is more of a personal
issue than a broken law, people are still critiqued for specific behaviors and actions, similarly to
the way Hester was judged in the 1600 s. Modern American culture has been affected by outdated
Puritan values, and has caused society to become an echo of the Puritan community of 1692.
While Puritans may have publically shamed others on scaffolds as a crude punishment, Americans
reach a broader audience with the help of technological advances and social media. But,
technology has also allowed our nation s Puritan roots to be prominently displayed online. Social
media platforms are often the most popular choice when it comes to bringing light to the ignominy
of others. With the option of hiding behind a screen, people often lose touch with human empathy
and do not hesitate to lash out at others; this is shown in the Justine Sacco twitter incident of 2013.
In the New York Times magazine, Jon Ronson educates his audience about how quickly people

How Did Edgar Allan Poe s Life Impact His Writing
Edgar Allan Poe Edgar Allan Poe died in 1849 yet people still talk about his writing today. Poe s
life impacted his writing in many ways so his poems and stories are always very touching. He
had so many things happen in his life that inspired him to make his writing good and meaningful.
Love, death and alcoholism were all very meaningful in different ways to him. These things in
his life impacted his writing and also made his writing very intriguing. Edgars love for certain
people was stronger than anything. He loved his 2 mothers very much, one being his real
mother and the other being his adoptive mother. He did not have a very good connection with
men as well as he did with women because his mothers taught him everything and raised him to
be the man he was. A lot of his stories and poems were in memory of is mothers. Poe also had a
very very strong love for his wife Virginia. Virginia was very young but at the time age did not

passed away due to this disease. Death kind of became a mystery to Poe because it happened so
often to the ones he loved. Death was always kind of dark and his stories and poems took place

Masculinity In Old Spice
Some say that it grants what it truly promises, others say it is only our imagination. The portrayal
of masculinity and manliness are quite prevalent in most of the old spice ads. Given the obvious
scope of the ad, which is to sell the product, the ad seems to portray other things. Masculinity shows
itself in the ad through different mannerisms. The appearance of the man, the behavior the man is
seen to have, and the sexuality. The Smell Like A Man ad is seen to portray two different ideals.
One of which promotes the viewer to want to become a masculine man. The other, however, lays
claim that the product will help in achieving this form of masculinity, not in a physical sense but in
a mental sense. The most portrayed ideals in the Old Spice ads are dominance, strength, and
competitiveness of the manly figure. The ad is somewhat targeted towards women to buy their
partner old spice in order for him to become a man. That is shown when the character states that
Your man can smell like a man if he uses Old Spice (Old Spice). The sense of domination over the
man watching the ad is obvious. The man in the ad is physically fit and shows that through his
confidence when he tells the women, who are also watching, to look back at me (Old Spice).
Following that up with a statement that separates the man in the ad from the man watching
claiming that he is not like me (Old Spice). Thus leaving the women watching in a desperate state

Causes And Effects Of Social Media
Causes and Effects of Social Media There is no denying that the expansions of the World Wide
Web and social media have skyrocketed in the last few years. It all started with the birth of
MySpace for Generation Z in 2003. It then happened again later in 2004, when Mark Zuckerburg
created the most commonly known and used Facebook, which then led to the launch of Twitter
in 2006. Ultimately, what all of this is saying, is that the effects of social media have impacted
the lives of many since 2003. All of these social sites piggyback off of one another and it has
created a nation that has become dependent on the use of social media. People are using social
media as a way to get their news, instead of actually watching the news. Instead of... Show more

This birth was known as Twitter. Twitter was launched in 2006. The purpose of Twitter was to
create a mini blogging site, hence the reason that its users are limited to 140 characters per
tweet. In 2009, it was ranked as the top 3 social sites out of the ones mentioned and multiple
more. As time progressed, Instagram was released in 2010. Instagram is similar to Facebook
because one is able to share photographs, but that is Instagram s sole purpose. Instagram allows
the users to upload photos, edit those photos, and write captions to go along with them. Moving
along, in 2011, a different form of social media came out. The famous Snapchat that quickly
escalated. Snapchat allows one to send and receive snapchats that dissolve after 10 seconds or
less. It began where one could only send pictures and receive them, but then the creators
attended the instant messaging part. The messages, much like the pictures, are gone as soon as
one is finished it with it. It is easy to see how quickly social media progressed and in a very small
time frame. The impact social media has made is very evident and it has created a never ending
list of possibilities because of this drastic expansion. Since social media surfaced, it has created
many new opportunities, whether it be for businesses or just keeping up to date with what one s
favorite celebrity is doing. With the advancement of social

Representation of Sexuality in Tv
With reference to relevant cultural theories analyse the representation of sexuality in a film
/television text of your choice.
I have chosen to look at and analyse a television text. It is a TV drama aimed at a teenage
audience called Skins. I chose this particular text as it focuses upon many different characters and
scenarios in regards to sexuality and this forms a basis for analysis and evaluation. Skins also
focuses upon Teenage sexuality, specifically, which I believe is a broad and interesting subject to
analyse with many opportunities to elaborate.
Skins is a British teen drama, which was aired on Channel 4 on terrestrial television and E4 on
digital television. It has had 2 seasons consisting of 19 episodes altogether. Skins ... Show more

The further off the rails Cassie goes, the more extreme the sexual situations, at one point courting
a female and then a few minutes after the female leaves a male arrives. Sexuality strongly
influences people s identity. (Op. cit. p.22) And at this point in the series we find that Cassie has a
very mixed up idea about who she is and what she wants.
This can also be seen in Season 1 when Maxxies best friend Anwar refuses to tell his parents
about Maxxies sexuality due to their religious beliefs. We see that Maxxie is torn between who he
is and whom Anwar wants him to be and this puts the friendship under great strain resulting in
Maxxie refusing to turn up to Anwars party. Gay adolescents who are more conventional in their
gender characteristics have the option of passing as straight and many do. (Op. cit. p. 461) This
situation happens a lot in real life but can be the cause of many problems, both for the person
dealing with feelings of homosexuality and hiding them and those around that person. Many people
have reported having feelings of being trapped within themselves and having pent up aggression
due to being in such a situation, which isn t hard to believe when we think that adolescence is when
we discover ourselves sexually. Adolescence involves the development of a sense of self and social
identity independent of one s parents (Erikson, 1968; Steinberg 2004). Answering questions about

The Catholic Church
A. Rationale and Preliminary Research I investigated Satan in the Catholic church; who he is
and how he is described. I have a previous knowledge of the Catholic faith because I used to
attend mass as a child, and because most of my family is catholic and practicing. Satan is a very
popular symbol talked about in society, yet what is said does not seem very educated, so I wanted
to learn more about who Catholicism states Satan is, from the people who follow the faith.
Firstly, I researched the Catholic church broadly. I found a very dependable source from the official
Vatican Church, The Holy See website, which had the Catechism of the Catholic Church using
scriptures. The source contained verses from the bible descripting Satan. This ... Show more content

Finally, the final article is an online website of easy to find bible verses, called Bible Tools. I
searched for Satan a Murderer to find bible verses concerning that, and it also contains explanations
of those verses coming from the Church of the Great God.
B. Plan for Study
This investigation will seek to examine how Satan is perceived in the adherents of the Catholic
faith. The scope of this investigation will include how Satan is described in Catholicism, by his
different names. The plan will be to use different online sources that explain Satan. The Catholic
faith has specific names for Satan that will be researched and examined. The names tell how
Catholics see Satan and how they view his actions. Many of the online sources will be written by
well known adherents of the Catholic faith (two of Christian faith, but correspond to that of
Catholic teachings.) The sources researched and analyzed will explain how Satan is viewed in
Catholicism, answering my research question.
C. Summary of Significant Findings In the beginning, Satan was created good by God and to be
an angel, known as Lucifer. Satan led other angels to turn against God to have more power over
his kingdom. But, the power of God will always triumph over that of Satan, (Saunders, Rev.
William, 2003). So, God cast the demons and Satan to hell; also found that they were cast back to
earth. The reason the Son of God appeared was to

Boeing Engineering Strike Case Analysis
Negotiation Efforts: The Boeing Engineering Strike In 2000, the Boeing Company found itself in
an unprecedented crisis. Over 17,000 engineers walked off the job site in a massive strike initiative.
Attempts to end and mitigate the strike provide a backdrop for negotiation process analysis in a
collective bargaining situation. Prior to the engineering strike, Boeinggrossly underestimated the
morale and emotions of the company s engineers. The failure to connect with employee concerns
cost the company in both reputation and financial loss. The purpose of this paper is to explore the
negotiation process as it unfolded during the Boeing engineering strike.

Antonio has been allowed to visit Shylock from gaol to try and persuade him to be lenient.
Shylock, however, is having none of it as he is bent on having his revenge.

Personal Reflection In Social Work
As a new tutor, I definitely feel the sense of the community within the writing center that was
described to me during the interview and the first couple of meetings. Everyone is so welcoming
and excited to work together, and it is an awesome environment to have become a part of. After
going to more and more of this class, I am certainly beginning to find my place here and am
excited to really find my niche. I look forward to hanging out with the other tutors at staff meetings
and during breaks since I would like to get to know everyone more. I cannot wait to begin tutoring
and working with this team.
To me, the most valuable part of this course was the practice element of it. I felt I learned quite a
bit from reviewing former clients papers and figuring out what would be the best strategy in
working with them. By dissecting them individually, in pairs, or as a class, it became easier to
pick up on common mistakes and writing issues. In addition, when we reviewed the piece on the
abusive mother, it made me realize just what types of papers I may come across as a tutor. Since I
am a social work major, I am used to frequently seeing these types of stories in my classes, but
never really thought about how I would see them here, as well.
However, for next year, I think more time should be spent on the practice portion versus theory.
While some of the readings were interesting, I did not feel they were necessarily valuable in
preparing me for my future tutoring. I found some of them to be rather confusing and unrelated,
making it difficult to apply them to tutoring. In addition, since I am a social work major, a lot of
the information on cultural competency and connecting with others despite our differences was a
review for me, but I am aware that not all tutors in training have this background.
Instead, I would suggest doing more exercises in examining student s papers and strategies in actual
tutoring. I am not an education major, so other than the small amount of time I have spend doing
private tutoring, I am not so used to instructing others. Therefore, I definitely would have benefited
more from doing actual exercises during class time and perhaps doing more readings that give
suggestions on best

In 1595, Nevado del Ruiz erupted. The eruption could be heard 62 miles away. It caused lahars,
which made it to the valleys of GualГ and Lagunillas rivers. Of course, this killed the fishes and
vegetation; more than 600 people died from the lahar. In 1845, a lahar flooded the upper valley
of the River Lagunillas. This mudflow flowed down the valley of the Lagunillas River for 40
miles. This time it spilled out of the river channel which reached an alluvial fan. This made the
mudflow split into two branches; 1000 people were killed in the mudflows. In 1985, Nevado del
Ruiz began to erupt; this one was the worst of all. The lahar ran down the volcano s sides at an
average speed of 60 km per hour. The lahar reached a width of 200 feet, and about 25,000 people
were killed.
Many people blame the government of all those deaths. In November 1984, geologists observed
a growing level of seismic activity near Nevado del Ruiz. The report was sent on October 22,
1985. It said that there was a hazard of lahars to be very high. The government was warned of the
dangers, but didn t evacuate. Nevado del Ruiz continues to be active and it continues to be a
threat to people, cities, rivers, and vegetation. It is said that over 100,000 people are in high risk
areas if another lahar like the one in 1985 happened

The Rise Of Donald Trump
With the rise of Donald Trump in the United States and of European far right wing parties (some
with fascist tendencies) we are seeing a new rise of conservatism in the western world in the last
years. Why has this happened so fast? Is a natural tendency that follows too liberal and progressive
governments? The western worldis suffering an identity crisis, which has resulted in 2 antagonistic
groups that today face each other (a perfect example of this is the radicalization of the Democratic
and Republican party in the US).
We have those who want to completely broke from the classical western values and whish to
reshape the west favouring progress and relativism in one hand and in the other we have the people
who defend traditional western values in the form of Christianity and morality and want them to see
them implemented in the policies of their respective countries.
We can trace this radicalization according to Jim George to the liberalization of belief system in the
60s inside the Western countries especially the United Statesand outside these in the fight against
communism.
The appearance of these ideological trends generated a counter culture among traditionalist groups
that generated a boom in neoconservative thought. Both groups were an extremist minority within
their respective traditional ideological currents; the right and left.
However in recent years with the growing influx of refugees, the economic and security crisis
coupled with the loss of values in

The Fundamental Professional Conduct Of The Teacher
The expression Duty of Care refers to the fundamental professional conduct of the teacher. This
becomes all the more serious when we talk about somebody in a position of responsibility.
Teachers, because they are older, wiser, more experienced, knowledgeable, and they should be
aware of potential dangers, are in a position of responsibility for their students. The key
consideration in the duty of care is does the pupil teacher relationship exist? This doesn t just
refer to school hours or school premises. In fact, the duty of care that teachers owe to their
students is greater in some cases than that of a parent. For example, a parent may leave his six
or seven year old child alone in a room, unsupervised and go to another room for some work, but
a teacher cannot afford to do that in the school. On the other hand, it will be seen to be
unreasonable for a teacher to leave a class unsupervised for any length of time. Also, as teachers
may have more than 25 30 students in their care at any given time, therefore, the duty of care is
seen to be over and above that which a normal parent would exercise over their child. When
considering the factors in the duty of care, a number of things are important. п‚· The younger the
child, the greater the duty of care, although capacity is also important. п‚· Potential hazards is
another factor in the duty of care. Science laboratories, for example, can be more dangerous than a
regular classroom. Therefore, we need to be more vigilant п‚· There

Essay Why I want To Be A Firefighter
Firefighting is a career that can make you feel proud and accomplished, and it is a career in which I
have a lot of respect for. In order to be a firefighter you must be in shape, prepared, experienced,
and ready to deal with your job emotionally as well as physically. I chose to be a firefighter
because I want to be able to help others and make them feel safe to live in their communities.
After visiting some actual fire departments, I realized as a firefighter you certainly have a lot to
be proud of. It s not your average job and does require quite a bit of organization to stay on top of
everything. Everyday you have to be ready and prepared for just about anything that can happen.

I know I have a long way to go until I am truly ready to be a firefighter. There were a few times
when I was just about ready to give up and didn t think I was able to handle the tasks I was given.
Firefighting takes constant training, and there are always new techniques that are being brought
into the fire department. So far in class I ve had to overcome many fears, such as embarrassment,
heights and new ideas I was not used to. The students in class are usually helpful and much of the
class is also new to them, which helps in itself not feeling alone. I also enjoyed learning to work in
teams and think this has been a good learning experience.
Many times how well you do your job can depend on your physical health. If you begin to slack
on health you can easily notice a difference on the quickness and efficiency in your work. You
must exercise on a regular basis so you are able to perform the necessary tasks in the most
stressful of situations. Not only must you be able to perform these tasks, but also you must be
able to endure it for long periods of time. You must learn your weaknesses and your strengths so
you are work at your best at all times. Staying in shape can also help your teammates, so you don t

Analysis Of The Seventh Man By Haruki Murakami
Imagine you just stood back while watching your best friend get swept up into an enormous
wave in a typhoon, and he ends up deceased. You d feel horrific, appaling, and guilty. You couldn
t move in the moment when it had happened, you were frozen, everything happened in a sluggish

was holding you back... and that something, was fear. However, if you tried saving him, your life
may have been taken away as well. You dont know weather to feel guilty for failing to save your

Narrative is a rhetorical structure that distorts reality in order to reveal it. This is an eminently
evident actuality in John Boyne s The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas. Through this distortion, Boyne
is able to evoke the reader s empathy, portray the horror of the Holocaust to a younger audience and
convey human s capacity for inhumanity and indifference. This is achieved by Boyne, primarily
through the exaggeration of innocence throughout the novel, the content presented to the audience,
and the use of a child narrator. Thus, in The Boy in the Striped Pyjamasby John Boyne, narrative is
presented as a composition that distorts in order to reveal.

In this way John Boyne distorts the innocence of the protagonist in The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas
for the purpose revealing the truth of the Holocaust by admitting the audience to envision and
perceive aspects of it, as well as experiencing emotion. In The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, Boyne
further distorts fact to allow for a younger audience to conceive the novel.
John Boyne additionally distorts reality in The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas for the purpose of
portraying the occurrence of the Holocaust to a younger audience. Boyne achieves this intention by
distorting the content of the Holocaust, without completely removing its abhorrence and
inhumanity. By allowing young boys to exist within the concentration camp as well as permitting
the friendship of Shmuel and Bruno to continue for such a prolonged period of time, and even
occur at all, makes the concentration camps appear more flexible and less lurid than in truth.
Furthermore, the eradication of the aspect of death and torture of the Jews abates the horror and
repugnancy of the Holocaust, permitting for a younger audience to perceive the novel. People must
constantly be reminded of the Holocaust, since its atrocities fade into history with the passage of
time. Hence, since narratives are the main way we make sense of things, The Boy in the Striped
Pyjamas informs and reminds both youth and maturity of the horrors of

Hegemony In American Foreign Policy
Hegemony is one of few different logics pertaining to American foreign policy. It is defined as
preponderant influence or authority, especially of one nation over another (Callahan, 2004, p. 12).
In other words, the United States can be seen as the dominate nation over all other nations. This
concept was first mentioned in Notes on the Southern Question (1926) by Antonio Gramsciand was
defined as a system of class alliance in which a hegemonic class exercised political leadership over
subaltern classes by winning them over (Ramos Jr., 1982). The logic of hegemony, as it relates to
American foreign policy, is based on the idea that the United Stateswould use its influence over
other countries in order to provide leadership. Through

Gender Inequality Towards Women During The Service Then...
THESIS: Gender inequality towards women in the service then and now
Women have served in the armed forces from as early as the American Revolution to present.
They have served selflessly with dedication towards their country in times of conflict. About two
hundred years ago it wasn t easy for a women to be in the service, they would disguise themselves
as men. It was believed that women did not have the capability and were not strong enough to
handle the situations that would arise in the daily life of someone in the service. Gender inequality
has always been a issue for women, even today many women are a victim of inequality. It was
said that women are more fragile than men; males are stronger and able to do more than females.
In some things, women weren t allowed to partake in physical activities such as combat, field
artillery, and etc. Women normally worked with logistic and as nurses. The qualifications for men
and women are very similar, but it has its difference; most women work with air defense artillery,
nursing, logistic, and etc. While most men work in combat, field artillery, mechanics, and etc. Out
of generals and admirals, 7.1% are women, out of those women 46% were in the medical field. In
fact, only two women in military history became four star generals. The Washington Post states, We
can t expect women to be accepted in combat roles, or the culture of sexual harassment and assault
to change when the military retains so few of its women in the senior

Indi An Emerging Economy And A Beacon Of High Tech Modernity
World s largest democracy, an emerging economy and on the race to become a regional/global
superpower: India has come a long way in the past few decades. Despite the evident threats of
bankruptcy, caste politics and Hindu Nationalism, India is a great example of unity in diversity
and a beacon of high tech modernity . (Corbridge et al, 2013). However, it can be said that India
is stuck between a prodigious need for cultural renaissance and the banes of class politics.
(Pradhan et al, 2105: 12). The caste system in India is intricately correlated to class stratification
and this is of immense political value in India as class and caste differences shape the politics in
India till a great extent. In this essay, I will begin by talking about the association between class
and caste, as this is an important aspect in order to understand how these issues shape the politics
of India. Further on, I will talk about the gradual emergence of classes over the period of time
and their influence on politics, beginning with colonial period and concluding with the modern
India. I will then attempt to display the crucial role played by the classes during the 2014
elections. The essay will then discuss how the Indian middle class contributes to shaping the
politics of India. I will then go on to write about the other classes and their influence over politics.
To conclude, I will talk about how class is just one of the innumerable other factors contributing to
the politics in India. In

Examples Of Ethical Issues In Australia
Australia, The Land Down Under
Sebastian Theodor Mowatt HaМЉvaМЉs Haugland
Australia is a big country. It lives about 24,13 million people there. The capital of Australia is
Canberra and the largest city is Sydney. They are famous for the Great Barrier Reef and have some
famous actors and artists. Example Agnus young, Heath Ledger and Sia. In Australiayou can swim
in the barrier reefs and go se the huge rock in the middle of Australia (Uluru). They still have the
Aboriginals who lives there and they are the urgent people. The British people took their land,
colonized and settled down in Australia. Great Britain made colonies in 1770, and with them they
brought criminals, because the prisons in Great Britain was overflowing.

He is famous as the Co Founder, songwriter and lead guitarist of the rock band AC/DC. He was
originally born in Scotland but as very young, he s family moved to Australia. He dropped out of
school when he was 15 years old because he s success in music. Agnus formed the band
Kantuckee, then Tantrum. Because the bands did not have much success he formed a band
with he s brother, Malcom Young. Malcom Young sadly died 18 of November 2017. Agnus is
known to play on stage with he s school uniform because, right after school (before he dropped
out), he sat down with the band. Still to this day he uses a school uniform while preforming on
stage. In later years they have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They have
also won a Grammy award. The reason why Agnus Young is an important person is because, he
influenced rock history. He s signature guitar is the Gibson SG . He started to cooperate with
Gibson. Because he used the SG, he helped Gibson with their sales. Another thing that made him
famous is the tone of he s guitar and the way he played. By this he influenced the rock

What Can Sports Teach Us About Business Strategy
What can Sports Teach Us about Business Strategy? In recent times, no sports team has lived up
to the title of Underdogs as Leicester City have. When the 2015 16 English Premier League
Season began, few could have imagined the shock that was about to follow. A team that had just
scraped off relegation last season, had very few financial resources and had a new head coach,
went on to perform the greatest miracle seen in English Football history. To put it in perspective,
the odds of Leicester winning the English Premier League at 5000 1, was deemed more unlikely
than the Second Coming of Jesus Christ by British Bookmakers. It is indeed a fairytale and one
which any person with a dream would want to follow. While I was witnessing this... Show more

This brings me to the importance of acquisitions in Businesses. Acquisitions done at the right
time can turn around the fortunes of any enterprise. For Example, Founded in 1911, the rapidly
growing Swedish pharmaceutical company Pharmacia, showcased its first demonstration of
market power with the purchase American rivals Upjohn in 1995 and Monsanto less than five
years later. During that time Monsanto, had been developing the anti inflammatory drug known
as Celecoxib , which had been eyed by Pfizer during its development stages. Beaten to the punch
by Pharmacia, the American Pfizer announced the purchasing deal of Pharmacia as a whole in
July 2002 with the transaction tag of $60bn (U.S). Less than seven years later Pfizer would
agree to purchase rival Wyeth for approximately $68bn (U.S). Today, Pfizer Inc. is worth as
much as twice its value at $172bn (U.S). Taking another example, at one point Bank One Corp
was the sixth largest bank in U.S.It was the first of many dominions that would be purchased by
the millennials new born that is J.P Morgan Chase. After a string of successful mergers on its own,
including its own consolidation of Chicago Corp and the National Bank of Detroit, Bank One s

Job fairs that focus on medical professions, technical support, or development are great
opportunities for the HRM or a representative to be present and expose potential candidates to
VeriType s career opportunities. Training and development will play a huge role in the success of
VeriType. HRM is critical in developing the proper training and development of most companies.
The training of both the software development team and the technical support staff will be
important in the success of VeriType. Employees must be trained in HCFA guidelines so that they
can ensure the software is operating effectively. Employees must be competently trained in how to
educate and help customers. The steps an effective training and development plan include
determining specific needs, establishing specific objectives, selecting methods/delivery systems,
implementing programs, and finally evaluation. (Mondy, 2014) VeriType wants to develop and
launch their software geared to help physicians alleviate billing problems and ultimately avoid
costly HCFA violations. This requires knowledgeable and experienced software developers and
skilled technical support staff. The HRM should discuss this training process with Jennifer
Brunner, CEO, she has experience in database development and contacts in the software
development community. Jennifer should be able to provide valuable resources to the HRM. She
may also be capable of training employees. Once the HRM has

observing the mycelia and spore produced. In order to do the microscopic observation, there are
several way can be use in obtaining the characteristics of the fungi which is by Slide Culture
Preparations and Cellotape Flag Preparations. 4.3.2.1 Slide Culture Preparations In order to
accurately identify many fungi it is essential to observe the precise arrangement of the
conidiophores and the way in which spores are produced (conidial ontogeny). One plate of
nutrient agar commonly potato dextrose is recommended, however, I used nutrient agar as
typical usage. Firstly, cut out an agar block (7 x 7 mm) small enough using a sterile blade to fit
under a coverslip. Using a sterile straw to make a circle out of the fresh agar and fit under a
glass slide. Flip the block up onto the new fresh plate and inoculate the four sides of the agar
block with spores or mycelial fragments of the fungus to be grown. Place a flamed coverslip
centrally upon the agar block then incubate the plate at 26oC... Show more content on

cellotape flag (2x2cm). Using sterile technique, gently press the sticky side of the flag onto the
surface of the culture. Remove and apply a drop of 95% alcohol to the flag, this acts as a
wetting agent and also dissolves the adhesive glue holding the flag to the applicator stick. Place
the flag onto a small drop of Lactophenol cotton blue on a clean glass slide, remove the applicator
stick and discard, add another drop of stain, cover with a coverslip, gently press and mop up any
excess stain. Then we can observe under the microscope the sporulation occurred from the fungi

The Northridge Earthquake
Knowledge is the skill acquired by a person to have facts or information through education or
experience. To wonder is to be curious to know something. The meaning behind Morgan s quote is
that once someone learns something new, they want to investigate or know more.
Once we are told something we did not know, our curiosity tells us to do some research or to ask
questions in order to know more about the topic. I have been in this situation multiple times. When
I was first told about the Northridge Earthquake that happened a few years ago, I was shocked and I
was dying to know more. I had to do some research on my own and my knowledge about the
earthquake expanded. Not only did I know what happened, but I also knew how it happened, why it

  • 2. The Importance Of The Japanese American Internment My priority was to try to show the American people that we are just as loyal as anybody else. We need to prove our loyalty because the reason why we re in camp is because the American public says that we are enemy aliens. Were loyalty to Japan and so forth. And that perceptions got to be changed. Susumu Satow. This statement is very powerful stating we need to show the American people we are not your enemies but your friends. Do not be scared of us just because we are Japanese. Prejudice played a large role in the Japanese American relocation because of the 1894 treaty, conflict over China, and the Russian Japanese War. The Japanese were never awarded for their bravery going into those internment camps. They were spit on and called names. Imagine being in that situation of hatred. Japanese American relationships were strained (during the)years before World War II. One of the reasons the United Statesand Japan did not get along was in 1894 when a treaty was signed allowing Japanese Immigrants into America allowing them the same rights as US citizens. In 1906, this treaty was violated when the San Francisco Board of Education passed a provision sending Japanese and Chinese children to segregated schools. This movement angered the Japanese Government because it violated the treaty. In late 1907 and into early 1908, letters were exchanged between the United States and Japan known as the Gentlemen s agreement . The Gentlemen s Agreement was for the US government to ... The first thing that Erik got Arthur to do was to make fun of the death of his old friend, Mike Costello. Ha! Do you remember the picture of his face! Priceless! Erik laughed. Pretty soon we ll get to see the close up! Remember how it happened! That swing was Perfect! Arthur responded. Pretty soon I might become a baseball player! Are you ready for this? • 7. Privacy And Confidentiality In Health Care Ethical problem paper Privacy and Confidentiality Introduction The question of privacy and confidentiality as it relates to electronic health records (EHR) requires serious attention. In spite of the potential advantage of EHR in the way patient information is stored, communicated and processed by the parties involved in healthcare delivery, there is widespread concern that patient privacy may be compromised during the delivery. Healthcare is changing and so are the tools used to coordinate better care for patients (Rodriguez. 2011). In order for electronic health records to achieve their desired goals, protection of patient privacy is paramount. Lack of patients trust in privacy and confidentiality can lead to reluctance in disclosing their pertinent medical information. Nurses have the ethical obligation to protect their patients private health information. • 8. Database Backup and Disaster Recovery for ABC Company A backup and recovery plan is necessary for the databases that the ABC Company uses for its business needs. In the event of a natural disaster, human error, hardware failure, or any other corruption or loss of data, backup and recovery measures will mean the difference between an inconvenience and a catastrophic loss of company data. The following report addresses various options for backupand recovery, and proposes what measures ABC Inc should adopt for its SQL Server 2012 servers. Database Backup SQL Server 2012 supports three scopes of backup and an additional special purpose backup type. The first of the three backup types is whole database which as its name implies, backs up the entire database. A partial database backup backs up read/write filegroups and, possibly, one or more read only files or filegroups according to Microsoft (n.d.). File or filegroup backups are conducted on singe file or filegroups. Finally, a copy only backup is an out of schedule backup that is initiated for a special purpose, and does not affect the normal cycle of backups. When a backup is conducted, it can be a full backup or a differential backup. A full backup will copy the entire database, while a differential backup will backup only the changes that have been made since the last backup was conducted. Whole, partial, and file /filegroup backups all can be full or differential backups. A copy only backup can only be a full backup because it does not change the transaction log, and ... Forensic nurses bring together medical practices and the justice system in making sure that the evidence has not been unintentionally tainted. This series of particle accelerators increases the momentum of packets of nuclei to almost light speed, then collides them. It collects the debris of the resulting destruction in hopes of finding the basic building blocks of matter. This is a basic overview of what happens at CERN, but when examined more closely, this process becomes far more difficult and complicated. How does this Atom Smasher work? How is it built? The final step is when they are shot into the Large Hadron Collider, twenty seven kilometers, about seventeen miles, in circumference. This ring has two vacuum tubes that fire protons in opposite direction, crossing them over in detector caverns. Here, computers take measurements to make sure nothing unexpected happens, such as a packet colliding into a wall, or smashing into another packet too early. When they are finally made to collide at four terra EV each, the computer tracks information about the debris, small particles such as quarks, and keeps it as data. Thus ends the travel of the packets and the process is repeated, furthering the cause of science. The technology to make this process work is incredibly advanced, stretching from super conduction to super computers. Most of the electronics at CERN are superconducting, which is where wires are cooled to such an extent that they provide virtually no resistance for the electrons passing through them. The niobium titanium wires at CERN are cooled to negative 456.34 degrees Fahrenheit, making them one hundred times more conductive. This is vital, because the power required to keep the accelerators, computers, magnets, ect. running is so colossal, the CERN complex needs it s own substation. Solubility Product Constant Lab Report Determine the solubility product constant (Kв‚›в‚љ) of calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH)в‚‚) by using the concentrations of calcium and hydroxide found during titration. The solubility product constant, or Kв‚›в‚љ, represents the level at which a substance dissolves in a solution at equilibrium. A higher Kв‚›в‚љ value means the more soluble a substance is in a solution. The solubility product constant, similar to solubility, is temperature dependent. When writing the expression for Kв‚›в‚љ solids and liquids do not appear since their concentrations do not change, only aqueous solutions are expressed. The Kв‚›в‚љ equation would be written as Kв‚›в‚љ= [C]^c[D]^d. The reason the reactant aA is not included is because it is a solid, therefore not represented in the expression. ... The temperature affects how effective the solute molecules break apart. The higher the temperature the more kinetic energy is formed, which increases the effectiveness of finding the solubility constant. If the Ca(OH)в‚‚ was not filtered correctly during the experiment the concentrations of the experiment would be off. If cloudiness still remained in the solute after filtration then the more HCl would have been used to find the solubility of calcium hydroxide. Filtering correctly helps with the effectiveness of breaking apart molecules to find specific concentrations to find the total solubility product constant. The best option to finding the correct final product is to filter until clear. If too much or too little of the saturated solute was used how could that affect the experiment? More solute means more solvent, but however, with the final calculations, the final product should be the same if data was recorded ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It is an experience in which one receives Gods power to be delivered from the bondage of sin. Salvation is of grace through the sacrifice of Jesusthe Christ. By His death He made full atonement for the sins of humankind. While modern American society has grown and changed, our Puritanical roots from the 1600 s remain. Our society can be condescending, hypocritical and relishes in the ignominy of others. Poe s life impacted his writing in many ways so his poems and stories are always very touching. He had so many things happen in his life that inspired him to make his writing good and meaningful. Love, death and alcoholism were all very meaningful in different ways to him. These things in his life impacted his writing and also made his writing very intriguing. Edgars love for certain people was stronger than anything. He loved his 2 mothers very much, one being his real mother and the other being his adoptive mother. He did not have a very good connection with men as well as he did with women because his mothers taught him everything and raised him to be the man he was. A lot of his stories and poems were in memory of is mothers. Poe also had a very very strong love for his wife Virginia. Virginia was very young but at the time age did not matter. • 20. Masculinity In Old Spice Some say that it grants what it truly promises, others say it is only our imagination. The portrayal of masculinity and manliness are quite prevalent in most of the old spice ads. Given the obvious scope of the ad, which is to sell the product, the ad seems to portray other things. Masculinity shows itself in the ad through different mannerisms. The appearance of the man, the behavior the man is seen to have, and the sexuality. The Smell Like A Man ad is seen to portray two different ideals. One of which promotes the viewer to want to become a masculine man. The other, however, lays claim that the product will help in achieving this form of masculinity, not in a physical sense but in a mental sense. The most portrayed ideals in the Old Spice ads are dominance, strength, and competitiveness of the manly figure. The ad is somewhat targeted towards women to buy their partner old spice in order for him to become a man. That is shown when the character states that Your man can smell like a man if he uses Old Spice (Old Spice). The sense of domination over the man watching the ad is obvious. The man in the ad is physically fit and shows that through his confidence when he tells the women, who are also watching, to look back at me (Old Spice). Following that up with a statement that separates the man in the ad from the man watching claiming that he is not like me (Old Spice). Thus leaving the women watching in a desperate state to make their man like the man in the ad. After ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It all started with the birth of MySpace for Generation Z in 2003. It then happened again later in 2004, when Mark Zuckerburg created the most commonly known and used Facebook, which then led to the launch of Twitter in 2006. Ultimately, what all of this is saying, is that the effects of social media have impacted the lives of many since 2003. Instagram is similar to Facebook because one is able to share photographs, but that is Instagram s sole purpose. Instagram allows the users to upload photos, edit those photos, and write captions to go along with them. Moving along, in 2011, a different form of social media came out. The famous Snapchat that quickly escalated. Snapchat allows one to send and receive snapchats that dissolve after 10 seconds or less. • 27. Personal Reflection In Social Work As a new tutor, I definitely feel the sense of the community within the writing center that was described to me during the interview and the first couple of meetings. Everyone is so welcoming and excited to work together, and it is an awesome environment to have become a part of. After going to more and more of this class, I am certainly beginning to find my place here and am excited to really find my niche. I look forward to hanging out with the other tutors at staff meetings and during breaks since I would like to get to know everyone more. I cannot wait to begin tutoring and working with this team. To me, the most valuable part of this course was the practice element of it. I felt I learned quite a bit from reviewing former clients papers and figuring out what would be the best strategy in working with them. By dissecting them individually, in pairs, or as a class, it became easier to pick up on common mistakes and writing issues. In addition, when we reviewed the piece on the abusive mother, it made me realize just what types of papers I may come across as a tutor. Since I am a social work major, I am used to frequently seeing these types of stories in my classes, but never really thought about how I would see them here, as well. However, for next year, I think more time should be spent on the practice portion versus theory. While some of the readings were interesting, I did not feel they were necessarily valuable in preparing me for my future tutoring. I found some of them to be rather confusing and unrelated, making it difficult to apply them to tutoring. In addition, since I am a social work major, a lot of the information on cultural competency and connecting with others despite our differences was a review for me, but I am aware that not all tutors in training have this background. Instead, I would suggest doing more exercises in examining student s papers and strategies in actual tutoring. I am not an education major, so other than the small amount of time I have spend doing private tutoring, I am not so used to instructing others. Therefore, I definitely would have benefited more from doing actual exercises during class time and perhaps doing more readings that give suggestions on best ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This mudflow flowed down the valley of the Lagunillas River for 40 miles. This time it spilled out of the river channel which reached an alluvial fan. This made the mudflow split into two branches; 1000 people were killed in the mudflows. In 1985, Nevado del Ruiz began to erupt; this one was the worst of all. The Rise Of Donald Trump With the rise of Donald Trump in the United States and of European far right wing parties (some with fascist tendencies) we are seeing a new rise of conservatism in the western world in the last years. Why has this happened so fast? Is a natural tendency that follows too liberal and progressive governments? The western worldis suffering an identity crisis, which has resulted in 2 antagonistic groups that today face each other (a perfect example of this is the radicalization of the Democratic and Republican party in the US). We have those who want to completely broke from the classical western values and whish to reshape the west favouring progress and relativism in one hand and in the other we have the people who defend traditional western values in the form of Christianity and morality and want them to see them implemented in the policies of their respective countries. We can trace this radicalization according to Jim George to the liberalization of belief system in the 60s inside the Western countries especially the United Statesand outside these in the fight against communism. The appearance of these ideological trends generated a counter culture among traditionalist groups that generated a boom in neoconservative thought. • 34. The Fundamental Professional Conduct Of The Teacher The expression Duty of Care refers to the fundamental professional conduct of the teacher. This becomes all the more serious when we talk about somebody in a position of responsibility. Teachers, because they are older, wiser, more experienced, knowledgeable, and they should be aware of potential dangers, are in a position of responsibility for their students. The key consideration in the duty of care is does the pupil teacher relationship exist? This doesn t just refer to school hours or school premises. In fact, the duty of care that teachers owe to their students is greater in some cases than that of a parent. For example, a parent may leave his six or seven year old child alone in a room, unsupervised and go to another room for some work, but a teacher cannot afford to do that in the school. On the other hand, it will be seen to be unreasonable for a teacher to leave a class unsupervised for any length of time. Also, as teachers may have more than 25 30 students in their care at any given time, therefore, the duty of care is seen to be over and above that which a normal parent would exercise over their child. When considering the factors in the duty of care, a number of things are important. п‚· The younger the child, the greater the duty of care, although capacity is also important. п‚· Potential hazards is another factor in the duty of care. • 39. Use of Narrative in John Boyne’s The Boy in the Striped... Narrative is a rhetorical structure that distorts reality in order to reveal it. This is an eminently evident actuality in John Boyne s The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas. Through this distortion, Boyne is able to evoke the reader s empathy, portray the horror of the Holocaust to a younger audience and convey human s capacity for inhumanity and indifference. This is achieved by Boyne, primarily through the exaggeration of innocence throughout the novel, the content presented to the audience, and the use of a child narrator. Thus, in The Boy in the Striped Pyjamasby John Boyne, narrative is presented as a composition that distorts in order to reveal. The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, by John Boyne, significantly distorts the truth of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In this way John Boyne distorts the innocence of the protagonist in The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas for the purpose revealing the truth of the Holocaust by admitting the audience to envision and perceive aspects of it, as well as experiencing emotion. In The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, Boyne further distorts fact to allow for a younger audience to conceive the novel. John Boyne additionally distorts reality in The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas for the purpose of portraying the occurrence of the Holocaust to a younger audience. Boyne achieves this intention by distorting the content of the Holocaust, without completely removing its abhorrence and inhumanity. By allowing young boys to exist within the concentration camp as well as permitting the friendship of Shmuel and Bruno to continue for such a prolonged period of time, and even occur at all, makes the concentration camps appear more flexible and less lurid than in truth. Furthermore, the eradication of the aspect of death and torture of the Jews abates the horror and repugnancy of the Holocaust, permitting for a younger audience to perceive the novel. People must constantly be reminded of the Holocaust, since its atrocities fade into history with the passage of time. Hence, since narratives are the main way we make sense of things, The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas informs and reminds both youth and maturity of the horrors of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 42. Indi An Emerging Economy And A Beacon Of High Tech Modernity World s largest democracy, an emerging economy and on the race to become a regional/global superpower: India has come a long way in the past few decades. Despite the evident threats of bankruptcy, caste politics and Hindu Nationalism, India is a great example of unity in diversity and a beacon of high tech modernity . (Corbridge et al, 2013). However, it can be said that India is stuck between a prodigious need for cultural renaissance and the banes of class politics. (Pradhan et al, 2105: 12). The caste system in India is intricately correlated to class stratification and this is of immense political value in India as class and caste differences shape the politics in India till a great extent. In this essay, I will begin by talking about the association between class and caste, as this is an important aspect in order to understand how these issues shape the politics of India. Further on, I will talk about the gradual emergence of classes over the period of time and their influence on politics, beginning with colonial period and concluding with the modern India. I will then attempt to display the crucial role played by the classes during the 2014 elections. The essay will then discuss how the Indian middle class contributes to shaping the politics of India. I will then go on to write about the other classes and their influence over politics. To conclude, I will talk about how class is just one of the innumerable other factors contributing to the politics in India. In ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In order to do the microscopic observation, there are several way can be use in obtaining the characteristics of the fungi which is by Slide Culture Preparations and Cellotape Flag Preparations. 4.3.2.1 Slide Culture Preparations In order to accurately identify many fungi it is essential to observe the precise arrangement of the conidiophores and the way in which spores are produced (conidial ontogeny). One plate of nutrient agar commonly potato dextrose is recommended, however, I used nutrient agar as typical usage. Firstly, cut out an agar block (7 x 7 mm) small enough using a sterile blade to fit under a coverslip. Using a sterile straw to make a circle out of the fresh agar and fit under a glass slide.
