Essay Father
Writing an essay on the topic "Essay Father" is no easy task. The challenge lies not only in the
technical aspects of essay composition but also in navigating the emotional and personal
dimensions that this subject entails. The term "father" carries a multitude of connotations,
ranging from biological relationships to broader concepts of mentorship, guidance, and paternal
influence.
Crafting an essay on this topic requires a delicate balance between introspection and objectivity.
One must delve into personal experiences, memories, and emotions, while simultaneously
maintaining a coherent and well-structured narrative. The challenge is to avoid becoming overly
sentimental or biased, striking a chord with readers while remaining true to the intended message.
Moreover, the diversity of fatherly roles and relationships adds complexity to the writing
process. A writer may explore the nuances of their own relationship with their father or delve
into societal expectations and stereotypes surrounding fatherhood. This requires a nuanced
understanding of the cultural, social, and familial contexts that shape the concept of a father.
The difficulty is further heightened by the potential for the essay to be highly subjective, as
personal experiences vary greatly. Balancing individual anecdotes with broader reflections on the
significance of fathers in society can be a formidable task.
In conclusion, writing an essay on the topic "Essay Father" is a challenging endeavor that
demands a skillful blend of personal reflection, analytical thinking, and effective
communication. The writer must navigate the complexities of emotion, societal expectations, and
individual experiences to create a compelling and insightful piece. For those who find themselves
grappling with this task or seeking inspiration, similar essays and additional assistance can be

Stock Market and Firm Essay
Background
The Blackstone Group (Blackstone) is a private equity firm founded in 1985 by two
former employees of Lehman Brothers. In May 2007 the firm had $88.4 billion under
management and had grown 41% annually since 2001.
The firm operated in several business groups but distinguished itself from other firms
by extensive collaboration across divisions. It was divided into Corporate Private
Equity, Real Estate Funds, Marketable Alternative Asset Management, Corporate
Debt Funds, and Advisory Services.
In 2007 Blackstone started to evaluate the option of taking the firm public. Reasons
why the firm should do an IPO, outlined by the firm s internal project group, included:

Third, to further smooth out potential fluctuations in the share price the firm
guarantees a dividend during the first years after listing.
The fact that the stock market tends to be short term focused further shows the
importance of having the MLP structure. To maintain the long term focus on
investments the firm needs to separate the governance of the firm from the
shareholders and the limited voting rights will ensure this.
2.If you were a limited partner in Blackstone, how would you view the structure
Blackstone has put in place to go public?
As a limited partner in Blackstone I would consider the structure as chosen to ensure
my interests. Given the fact that the firm chose to go public for the opportunities that
a listing brings, it seems to be the best way of doing it.
I would be most worried about that the firm would try too much to stabilize the
share price and fulfil the interest of the shareholders by focusing on short term
profits. Many of the limited partners in a private equity fund are pensions funds or
similar and do not mind to lock their money over a longer time period and, by doing
so, seek the long term profit that the private equity firm can offer. I will highlight the
two things that make me confident that my interests as a limited partner will be
maintained with the structure that the firm is implementing. First, the structure allows
The Salary Inequities For The Female Employees Essay
Mike Honda once said, Equal pay isn t just a women s issues; when women get
equal pay, their family income rise and the whole family benefits (Honda, n.d.).
Although more businesses are supportive of closing the pay gap, it is still a
problem in most established companies. There are several reasons for the pay gap,
yet in many cases it is thought that the main reason is because women are less likely
to negotiate their salary. Even if this is the case, companies need to be aware of their
employee s salaries to stay within their legal obligation. This is what Joe Black, the
president of Acme Manufacturing, has discovered within his organization.
Critical Factors
The central dilemma for this case with Acme Manufacturing is the salary inequities
for the female employees. There are concerns that these inequities were the result of
gender discrimination based on the information provided by the current HR director
and her belief of how the previous president felt about female employees at the
company. Although this may be hearsay, the fact that there are inequities and rumors,
it is still grounds for concern and further investigation by HR. Joe Black, the current
President of the company, is looking for the best solution to resolve these concerns.
Based on the job evaluation study performed by a compensation consultant, there is a
concern that three female supervisors and the female HR director are underpaid
relative to comparable male salaried employees. Now that this
Similarities Between The Empire State Building And The...
Around the world, there are different kinds of buildings and constructions that
represent a country or city. Evidently, buildings are different from one to another in
location, aging time, and materials of construction. Nevertheless, many buildings
share some similarities. Many people know that The Empire State Buildingand The
Eiffel Towerare in different continents and that at first glance they have nothing in
common. Otherwise, they share some similarities like being the tallest buildings in
the city that each is located, the number of observatories, and One of their
similarities is the height. Both Empire State Building and The Eiffel Tower are the
tallest infrastructure in their cities. The Empire State Building with 1,250 feet in
the top floor and 1,454 feet to the tip is the tallest building in the city of New York,
this building that nowadays is a point of attraction for tourist in the big apple
opened in May 1931. Likewise, The Eiffel Tower located in Europe with 906 feet in
the top floor and 1,063 feet to the tip is the tallest construction in the city of Paris. It
has been open for tourist since 1889 and it was the tallest building in the world
from 1889 to 1930. Another similarity between The Empire State Building and The
Eiffel Tower is that both possess observatories in the top floor. The Empire State
Building has two observatories; one on the 86th floor that in the last few years have
been closed to the public and one on the 102nd floor; if
Pluto Pros And Cons
People love Pluto, whether they are young or old it does not seem to matter. The
planet (and Walt Disney s beloved character) holds a special place in a lot of people s
hearts. Yet, this only became clear to me after reading The Pluto Files by Neil
deGrasse Tyson. I remember when Pluto s classification changed from being a planet
to a dwarf planet however, I was never aware of how big of a controversy it caused.
The fact that there was a conference deciding whether or not we should keep Pluto
as our ninth planet was not something I was aware of previously to this book.
Tyson does a wonderful job explaining the story of Pluto and not only the how the
planet was reclassified but also why. As we spoke about in class Pluto does not
really fit into the categories of being a planet, this was one of the major arguments
as to why Pluto should not be considered our nineth planet anymore. I believe that it
is interesting that some people were trying to then create a classification specifically
for Pluto. However, this obviously did not come to be as there must be more than
one of something in order for it... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
What is surprising is how people reacted and continue to over the decision. I agree
with Tyson when he says Find quote about Pluto being the smallest planet and
largest dwarf planet Yet, it is surprising that a lot of people do not feel this way.
Why are people so emotionally attached to an object that is billions of miles away?
Is it because it was one of the easier planets to remember in the solar system? Or
perhaps it was because it was the smallest and people tend to cheer for the underdog.
No doubt Disney s fun, loving pup had some help in the matter as well. Whatever the
case people feel strongly enough about the issue to write Tyson personally about the
regrouping of their favorite planet. Again what surprises me is that it was not only
children but also
The Contribution Of Ludwig Van Beethoven
Abstract Ludwig Van Beethoven was one of the greatest musical composers of his
time. Starting very young in his studies of music, he held many important positions
they would develop him into the composer he became. Born in Bonn, Germany to a
singer, he held his first position at the church. He later moved to Vienna where his
composed several pieces, and even an opera. He created a new style of music, cyclic
form.
Background Ludwig van Beethoven (1770 28 March 1827) was one of the greatest
art musicians, and probably had more influence over musical events than any
composer, of his time (Charlton, 2016). He was born in Bonn, Germany to Father
Johann van Beethoven, and named after his grandfather, Ludwig van Beethoven.
There is no official record of his birthday, but the church had on file his baptism on
17 December 1770. Because one of his teacher celebrated his birthday on 16
December, his birthday is generally accepted to be on this date. He had seven
brothers and sister, being one of three to survive early childhood. Beethoven s
Grandfather, Ludwig van Beethoven (1712 1773), moved to Bonn when he was in
his twenties. He was employed as a bass singer to the Elector of Cologne. In 1761,
he became the music director. Ludwig was father to Johann (1740 1792), his only
son. Johann Beethoven was a tenor singer in the same place has his father. Johann
gave piano and violin lessons in his spare time to assist his income. Johann fell in love

Project design: This project seeks to implement a nutrition education component in
the Double Up Food Bucks program at the Oakland County Farmer Market The first
step in achieving the goal of increasing the purchase and consumption of SNAP
beneficiaries in Oakland County is to increase the participation rates of the DUBF
program. A good way to accomplish this is through promotion. Promoting the the
DUFB program and what is has to offer will increase awareness and educate
participants of the benefits they are able to receive when they shop at the farmers
market. Starting two months prior to the beginning of the farmers market season, the
community dietitian will have developed numerous promotional advertisements .
With the help of an assistant, the advertisements will be sent out and displayed at
local businesses, community centers, government agencies and libraries within
Oakland County. Promotional marketing types will include newsletters, flyers,
brochures, and websites. Each advertisement material will include information about
the farmers market, such as day and time of operation and location of market, as well
as information on the DUFB program, the SNAP incentives offered, and benefits of
participating. Additionally, the marketing material will promote the opportunity of
nutritioneducation and ability to speak with a RD to answer any questions they may
have. Newsletters will be sent out local residents homes, especially those in close
proximity of the Oakland
Love Battlefield Metaphors
Over the course of our lives we have heard many different metaphors and noticed
their societal effects. One metaphor that people consider thought provoking is that
love is a battlefield . People consider it thought provoking because love is a
battlefield can be thought of in many situations. Two situations that can be related to
this metaphor include a struggle within a group and also a struggle within oneself.
The first example of a struggle within a group could be when two people are fighting
for the loveof one person. This metaphor can be perceived in this situation in a way
that when they are fighting each other, it is really the love they have for that third
person or ideal fighting. A second example of a struggle within a group is when
people in the group support different sports teams. There are some groups that take
this conflictseriously. One of the most popular rivalries known around the Cincinnati
area is the Xavier and U.C rivalry. Love is a battlefield can be perceived in this
situation as the fans love for the sports teams competing... Show more content on

One effect of this alternate metaphor is the fact that it makes people believe that
love is something that you can just talk about with someone or a group while love
is a battlefield makes you believe that love is something you have to fight for.
Some adjectives that come to mind when you read love is a natural force are:
normal, friendly, and cooperative. However, adjectives that come to mind when you
think about love is a battlefield are: anger, frustration, and regret. One example of
love is a natural force is the regular feeling of love that you have for your family.
When you are around family, you feel like they are looking after you and the love
towards them feels natural and just flows out. So while love is a battlefield
expresses the idea that love sometimes requires conflict love is a natural force just
comes
Fast Food Still As Unhealthy As Ever Analysis
The second way fast food contributes to our obesity epidemic is the unhealthy
contents it is comprised of. There is no doubt that fast food is unhealthy. Even the
healthy options always have some unhealthy aspect to it. But we can t deny that it
is delicious and sometimes even better than if we were to make a similar burger or
salad at home. However, this delicious taste comes with some costs costs that
negatively affect your health. As I ve said before, fast foodis high in calories and
contains a lot of ingredients that we ve never heard of before. But we re not
alarmed by because we are distracted by the food s yummy flavor. Pollan and his
wife and son went to McDonald s for a lunch outing. After eating their entire meal, he
was astonished... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It only takes a few fast food meals to gain some pounds. And you may not even
notice. It is know that, as Americans, we eat more than we should be eating. We are
the leaders in obesity practically. According to the article Fast Food Still as
Unhealthy as Ever , written by Jim Algar, researchers at Preventing Chronic
Disease found one meal of a cheeseburger with French fries and soda could rack up
80 percent of a person s daily recommended calories and 139 percent of their
recommended salt intake (2015). That means Pollan ate almost 80 percent of his
recommended calorie intake just in one sitting! That sounds very unhealthy
because he would still have one more meal to go dinner. If we can just get by with
one fast food meal a day and a light dinner, we probably wouldn t be prone to a
large weight gain. However, when you add a large breakfast and a fairly large
dinner to the 80 percent fast food meal, you will definitely gain weight. Fast food
satisfies us for a while. After we eat a large fast food meal, it holds us for a few
hours. But there are some people who eat it more than once a day. They are going
way above the daily calorie intake at this rate. Now let s talk about the sodium
intake. The meal mentioned in Algar s article is a whopping 139 percent of our
recommended salt intake. We are going to bloat at this rate. We are consuming high
amounts of sodium which makes us thirsty. We then consume large amounts of water
to quench our thirst. Then we bloat. This of course is not good for our body. As we
can see, these high numbers that we can reach when consuming a simple fast food
meal contributes to the obesity

Key Elements Of A Contract
Contacts are something we come across in our day to day lives, most of the time
without even noticing it. Whether we are at a restaurant, buying a house or car, or
even having a day at the spa. A contract is a written or expressed agreement
between at least two parties to provide a service or product and can be legally
enforced if drawn up correctly. It is most common for a contract to be written and
signed by both parties, but there are other forms of contracts including expressed
contract and implied in fact contracts. In an express contract, all elements are clearly
stated either written or orally. Both parties must fully understand the terms and
conditions that they are agreeing to. The not so transparent of contracts would be an...

This exchange of money would bind both parties to the agreement. Consideration
is the next element of a contract. It is something of value that is exchanged
between the parties involved in the contract in the form of money or promise to do
something or perform. In order to qualify as consideration, it must be bargained for
and legally sufficient. In this case, Stan (promisor) offers Jim and Laura
(promisee) to hold the vehicle with a deposit of $100, Jim and Laura accepts, the
$100 is the consideration (value) for the hold of the vehicle (performance). The
consideration meets both qualifications because there is not a legal obligation
already in place for the offer and it was bargained for by the exchange of promise
and something of value. A contract must be for a legal purpose and not for any
purpose that may break any laws. A court will not back up and support a contract
that has any intention of breaking the law. Based on the information from the
scenario, neither Jim, Laura nor Stan Salesman appear to have any illegal intent
when entering the potential contract. Jim and Laura were legitimately looking to
replace their current vehicle that had been giving them mechanical problems and to
use it to travel from work and school. Being of legal age and of sound mind is the
capacity of the contract. Capacity means a person s legal ability to enter into a
contract. When looking at who can enter a contract a few
And Disadvantages Of A Suspension Bridge
Advantages and Disadvantages of a Suspension Bridge:
As the name implies, suspension bridges hold the roadway by cables, ropes or
chains from two tall towers. These towers support the majority of the weight as
compression pushes down on the suspension bridge s deck and then travels up the
cables, ropes or chains to transfer compression to the towers (Lamb Morrissey, 2000).
The towers then distribute the compression directly into the earth. The supporting
cables, on the other hand, receive the bridge s tension forces. These cables run
horizontally between the two far flung anchorages. Bridge anchorages are essentially
solid rock or massive concrete blocks in which the bridge is grounded. Tensional
force passes to the anchorages and into the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

They are remarkably flexible.
Suspension bridges need to be flexible enough to move with the wind, but not until
conditions become severe and then breaks. Since movement needs to be applied to
the bridge, the cable system will move in windy conditions, since movement needs to
be applied to the bridge. It may require closure during strong earthquakes or in any
extremely turbulent conditions.
2. It restricts local access during construction.
Roadway panels are lifted from the bottom up while suspension bridges are under
construction; so this can limit access to highways or waterways that will be
underneath the bridge. That will create a large damage and impact on local economy
when it comes to transportation systems that carry a lot of traffic.
3. There are load limitations.
Suspension bridges can only withstand a certain amount of weight, which means that
only a certain type of traffic are able to cross a suspension bridge or it will fail. For
some communities, this may limit access options to their region at large because only
a certain amount of the population can cross the bridge at any given moment.

The Second World War
Second World War
World War II was one of the greatest struggles humanity has ever seen. This Second
World War caused many lives to be lost, damaged personal properties and was
expensive, for a great deal of money was required to maintain a country s military
strength. The numbers for those that have passed, been wounded or gone missing
during the war could never be calculated precisely; though it has been estimated that
more than 55 million lives perished. Many historians have traced the causes of
World War II to the problems left unsolved by the First World War (1914 1918).
World War Iand the treaties that ended it also created new political and economic
problems. Forceful leaders and dictators in several countries (Germany, Italy, and...

Many nationalists viewed foreigners and members of minority groups as inferior.
Such beliefs helped nations justify their conquest of other lands and the poor
treatment of minorities within their borders. Nationalism was a chief cause of World
War I, and it grew even stronger after that war.
Nationalism went hand in hand with feelings of national displeasure. For instance,
many Germans felt humiliated by their country s defeat in World War I and its harsh
treatment under the Treaty of Versailles. During the 1930 s, they enthusiastically
supported an aggressive nationalistic organization called The Nazi Party. The Nazi
Party declared that Germany had a right to become strong again. Besides Germany
nationalism also gained strength in Italy and Japan.
The Peace of Paris established an international organization called The League of
Nations to maintain peace. Each country backed its own interests at the expense of
other countries which prevented The League from working effectively. Therefore
only weak countries agreed to submit their disagreements to The League of Nations
for settlement. While strong nations reserved the right to settle their disputes by
threats or force.
The political unrest and poor economic conditions that developed after World War I
enabled dictatorships to arise in several countries. Especially in those countries that
lacked a tradition of democratic government. During the 1920 s and
Preventing Fraud at Mogel s Inc.
1)The Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commissions
(COSO) declared in 2011 that keeping a moral tone is an effective way for
organizations to prevent fraud. The values, integrity and competence of the
company s leaders and the presence of a positive management philosophy
encourage low level employees to be honest and morally upright (COSO, 2011).
When employees observe that executives behave unethically, they become more
likely to engage in fraudulent behavior because they see that it is tolerated. Mogel
s Inc. could establish control through a code of conduct covering all employees.
The presence of formal policies can only be effective when it is properly and
consistently enforced and when competent and trustworthy individuals are
rewarded (McNeal, 2011) 2)Mogel s Inc. can also benefit from an organizational
structure that clearly denotes company hierarchy. Employees should pass reports to
their supervisors or give formal updates of the company s processes. For instance, it
would be ideal for an internal auditor to regularly report to an audit committee.
Relevant information would freely flow from employees to the company s
management and this raised level of awareness is a deterrent for fraudulent activities
which flourish when supervision is low (McNeal, 2011). A clear organizational
structure encourages transparency in a company. It also informs employees of the
people they can report to if they suspect that anything is amiss. (McNeal, 2011).
The Battle Of The River
The river was an important avenue of approach for the Union army to reach and
gain control of Vicksburg. The Loess Bluffs bordering the Mississippi River
provided excellent observation positions for Confederate artillery to fire upon any
enemy approaching via the river. Ships were particularly vulnerable to their fire
because of an oxbow north of the city s waterfront where ships were forced to slow
down to make the treacherous turn. The river approach afforded no opportunities for
cover and concealment.
The Confederate positions at Fort Hill and South Fort had clear fields of fire
regarding approaching gunboats that afforded them a great advantage.
The oxbow proved a challenging obstacle for Union approach, and was considered
in the design and placement of artillery positions by the Confederates at Fort Hill
and the river batteries along the waterfront. The Confederates placed additional
obstacles in the form of explosive mines within the waters of the river and canal to
the north and south of the city. The U.S.S. Cairo sunk in the Yazoo River Canal due
to one of these mines during the winter of 1862 while on a mission to clear the river
of mines and rid the channel of Confederate batteries. The city of Vicksburgin itself
was the key terrain. This fortified city was positioned to protect the Mississippi River,
and without taking Vicksburg...the outcome of the Civil War would have completely
different.

Abstract
Court appointed attorneys constantly face ethical and moral conflicts in their position
of authority The toughest calls could be considered those that challenge professional
ethics and personal ethics. When attorneys accept to the duty to represent a client,
they have an ethical duty to protect confidential information obtained through
attorney client meetings. However, how do attorneys respond when an accused
murderer admits to a crime that has previously been committed and is currently
being investigated? Can an attorney break the attorney client privilege bind or
should they continue to represent a client they know is guilty? Can justice, if at all
possible, be discovered from either ethical dilemma? This paper will not only
answer these questions but it will also discuss the legality of client confidentiality.
The 1973 Buried Bodies case will be used to explain and analyze the legal bind
attorneys must uphold as well as how ethics, both
Modern Russian Music Bands
In the collapsed Russian Empire, modern generations grasp onto national strength and
pride in their remembrance of their pasts. In art, the Russian people immortalize their
history through songs about their true inner power and endurance. Bands like Alisa,
DDT, Gazmanov, and Arkona comment on the state of modern Russia
in comparison
to it s past, and while some bands idealize the inner Slavs of the Russian people,
others glorify their endurance, and others still are accepting of the new lack of
strength in the modern Russian. As Russia reevaluates it s past, each voice acts as
a foothold on which Russia regains it s balance. For bands like Alisa and Arkona,
the Russian pride and identity lies in battles and folktales. Their performances
speak to the earliest Russian character; the tough, brutish, fur covered, god
worshiping Slav. Their lyrics often claim a genetic, or spiritually intrinsic drive in
the Russian people, singing phrases like But there is a sky of the Slavs boiling in
our veins , But Russian speech clanks by chain armor (Alisa), You have been a
victim of crazy waters in a death battle with wind. You put your hands in the sky
and wait for Rod s (the Slavic deity of Fate) answer Hey, hey, cheer up! Hoy, hoy,
go in fight again! If you are brave you are stronger. (Arkona). These Slavic
remembrances claim a basic native strength in the people of Russia, and argue against
the acceptance of national failure. They call the people to fight together against the
A Definition Of Strategic Leadership
A Definition of Strategic Leadership The key to strategic planning is competent
strategic leadership. Strategic leadership requires personal outlook of the church
which will increase the involvement and ministry outreach of the congregants.
Strategic leadership in the twenty first century has increased as the rising Millennial
generation places new aspects of leadershipwhich require higher standards more
relevance from the church; becoming transparent. Malphurs stresses the concern of
the church, stating, I have compared the typical church in North America to a ship
without a compass, drifting aimlessly on the ocean. It doesn t know where it is or
where it is going. And if that is not bad enough, the winds of change and the current
of postmodernism are relentlessly blowing and pulling the church even farther off
course. Postmodernism has become the venom the church has struggled to keep the
church alive by biblically attacking the theory there is no absolute truth, which
contradictory to the biblical context. Strategic leadership has increased amazingly in
most areas of the church, but in the majority, the church has declined because of the
lack thereof. Competent strategic Christian leadership is having the ability to lead
spiritually, gifted with the ability to lead, and to communicate your plan, vision, and
mission effectively which directs your members in the same path. To keep your
competence in our strategic planningin Christian leadership, we
Thomas V Mowbray Revolutionised And Created A New
The case of Thomas v Mowbray revolutionised and created a new, broad, perspective
of the constitutional defence powers in regards to terrorism. This was the first case to
reach the High Court on the validity of anti terrorism measures that were recently
introduced to Australia by the executive. Thomas made several submissions within
this case, including that the defence power was limited to defence against threats
from foreign states and that the words naval and military present in the wording of
the section confines the defence power to those activities and cannot underpin
broader activities to protect the community. Unfortunately, on the first point there was
a 6:1 majority that the law was valid under the power for threats both domestic and
foreign. Kirby J dissent held that the Commonwealth had essentially failed to
establish the factual basis that was needed to support its reliance on the defence
power. Further, Kirby J concluded that the facts underpinning the war on terror did
not constitute hostilities for the purposes of the first limb of the defence power. The
majority of the High Court upheld the constitutional validity of the anti terrorismlaws
that allowed for the courts to impose control orders upon persons of whom they
believed to pose a threat due to their connections to listed terrorist organisations,
regardless of the possibly that some derogable rights maybe be overridden. The
control order imposed on Thomas required him to remain in his residence

Emerging Trends Of Cyber Crime
Emerging Trends in Cyber Crime
Abstract We are in a state where without computer and internet life does not seem
possible. From the time of the evolution of computer and internet, large scale
industries, commercial institutions, financial institutions have become more
dependent on cyber space. But at the same time cyber crimes have become the
biggest threat to the users of information technology. Considering cyber crimes, many
countries have come up with cyber laws, some countries have implemented them and
some will implement. This essay has attempted to deal with cyber crimes and cyber
laws; it has tried to solve the problems relating to cyber crimes.
India is one of those countries who have implemented cyber law. In year 2000,
India came with a law in cyber space called Information Technology Act, 2000,
which was later amended in 2008. As cyber crimes do not have geographical
boundaries, therefore to fight against it we need a uniform law, and proper
implementation of it.
Keywords cyber crime, cyber law, hacking, e banking, digital contract, digital rights,
virus.
Information technology is being used since it was evolved, for the benefit of the
sophisticated economic trading in an easier way, banking in e banking form,
communication, business, etc. Today it has become that part of life, without which
life does not seem possible. The use of internet has emerged as a very useful medium
for the welfare of the civilized society. But internet is not one of those which
Nuclear Weaponry
Dexter Gordon once said, In nuclear war all men are cremated equal . Since the era
when the first bow and arrow was created, humanity has been treading on the fine
path of incessant vehemence. There are a countless number of reasons why people
participate in altercations, from petty issues such as who lost the keys to more
momentous disagreements such as those of Civil Rights or rightful independence.
Today in the 21st century, not only have the disagreements evolved but so has the
artillery that is used for defense and offense during a battle. Almost 64,000 years after
the first weapon was developed, man has machinated an armament that is
unfathomably more destructive and precarious than the antiquated bow and arrow:
the nuclear bomb.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Analogously, another Japanese nuclear blast that occurred in Nagasaki, an
industrialized city with a natural harbor, killed an estimated 42,000 people and
injured 40,000 people ( The Bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki ). Rosalie Bertel, a
researcher, has estimated that the global victims of the radiation pollution related to
nuclear weapon production, testing, use and waste conservatively number 13 million
( The Effects of Nuclear Weapons ). Not only does nuclear warfare directly affect
humans but it also has a significant impact on the environment . The practice of
nuclear warfare has polluted air and water since this tactic has begun. Many of the
substances emmissioned, include plutonium, uranium, strontium, cesium, benzene,
polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), mercury and cyanide, which are carcinogenic and
/or mutagenic ( The Effects of Nuclear Weapons ). These pollutants remain hazardous
for hundreds of thousands of years. However, the result of the release of these
pollutants is not necessarily due to the eruption of a nuclear bomb but , perhaps even,
from the testing and manufacturing of such weapons. Radioactivity released from
nuclear testing includes plutonium, strontium, cesium, and carbon 14 ( The Effects of
Nuclear Weapons ). Moreover, underground tests have contaminated soil and
groundwater.
Negotiation Approach In Conflict Management
nd one s way out of a conflict, negotiation is the best tool. Negotiation is a technique
of conflict management. Negotiation is the most peaceful way out of a conflict
although it may not be that practical in some instances. Successful negotiation in
each and every aspect is a utopic approach and quite impractical. Nonetheless, It s
fruitfulness has stamped its marks in the subject of human behavior in organization
structures. [1]
Negotiation can be defined in this context as
seeking a way out of a given problem through discussion in such a way that the
ideas of all parties are heeded properly and a suitable, intermediate and optimal way is
chosen such that all parties are appeased

Unclear circles of influence may also result in conflicts as to whom is responsible
for carrying out a certain task.
Difference in perceptions resulting in different approaches towards a particular issue
also causes conflicts. It is easy to imagine a situation in which two people have the
same goal but they differ vastly with regards to the choice of path they must take to
reach that goal. In business terms, it is analogous to the choice of strategies for the
achievement of a certain targeted outcome.
Conflicts caused by personality clashes are very common. These can be aptly called
the unprofessional conflicts as they arise simply as a result of two people not getting
along well because of their differences in beliefs, genders, habits, attitudes etc[3].In a
professional field, one is usually taught to get over such differences and clashes and
work for the common betterment of the organization. So these are in a sense worst
and the most unfruitful type of conflicts.

Hedda Gabler Insecurity
One might be tempted to believe that Hedda Gabler was born into the world with a
purpose and with freedom that only God could grant. Even if she were, the cruel
hands of men took her gifts for themselves on the day of her birth, leaving her with
little to nothing to live for. Within this play, Hedda s insecurity and uncaring
demeanor reveal the tragic truth that Hedda, a beautiful young woman, was born
with only one inalienable right: to live for nothing. Upon close inspection, one can
see that Hedda s irrational actions are caused largely by her own insecurity. Albeit, if
one was not careful, they might throw insecurity out the window and simply call

Most of the time, yes, they do. In this play, Hedda attempts to convince others that
she is emotionless. She makes it seem as though Lovborg s death will not have any
but a positive effect on her. However, we can see quickly that she cared greatly
about the circumstances of his death. Her true emotions are revealed when Judge
Brack tells her, This whole Eilert Lovborg business didn t come off exactly the
way I described it (Ibsen 1535). Hedda immediately becomes worried after hearing
this. Is Eilert Lovborg even dead? Instead of courageously killing himself, was he
brutally murdered? Hedda doesn t know, and the value she places on Lovborg s
death is immense. In fact, to her, it s worth her life. Hedda s uncaring demeanor is
important because it gives us a glimpse of her true character. It shows us that she s
been hiding behind a disguise throughout the entire play. It s hiding the fact that she s
hurting deeply on the inside because others like Thea and Lovborg have found
happiness while she has not. Also, it tells us that she is just another human being who
wants nothing more than to be fulfilled. Sadly, fate has determined that she will live

The Greeks Used Hesiod s Theogony And Various Heroes
Myths
The Greeks used Hesiod s Theogony and various hero myths to explain and
conceptualise the world around them, both internally, and externally. If we explore
the ways in which the Greeks understood themselves, and how they play a part in the
world socially, the internal importance of these texts become quite obvious. It
instructs the Greeks how to live their lives, in doing so, the texts construct a
guideline for them to follow; establishing rules and highlighting characteristics which
are to be assumed by the Greeks to fit in with their presupposed role. However, a
dichotomy occurs in the way these texts are used, in that, while it explained the world
internally, it coincides with the external explanations of the fundamental nature, and
metaphysical reality of the world in which they live. By analysing fragments from the
pre Socratics, we can see how important the Theogony was in fuelling this new mode
of thinking, which would later result in an aspect completely distinctive of the Greek
mind.
I will be now arguing the importance of the Theogony, in prompting rational thought
in the later sixth century B.C.E. Historians will argue that the Greeks change in
thought was a sudden shift from a mythical explanation, to a rational one, or the
Greek miracle , as it often labelled. I however, will contest that there was no sudden,
complete shift away from their mythical explanation. No, it was far too entrenched in
their mind to have suddenly disappeared when a small number of
Child Throwing
Introduction
Throwing is probably the most common of the ballistic skills yet the most difficult
to assess. As a parent when teaching the child to throw, it is important to begin at a
level that the child can achieve and then slowly increase the level of difficulty, so
that the child is stretched slightly (taking steps backwards, or throwing for longer
distance), each time but does not lose confidence in achieving the task. Also, make
sure while each step is completed give the child lots and lots of praise and
encouragement. With giving encouragement as a parent, the child looks up to you to
give them instruction therefore if the child does a skill correctly keep their
confidence up in order for them to move on to the next step in throwing. ... Show

Without learning the basic steps, it would be difficult to master the task. But with
gender and skill level varying in each child, being patient and boosting their
confidence when they do it correctly is equally important as correctly them when
they make a mistake. What we don t see in young adults as we do in children is
fear. Many children are afraid to try new things. Throwing the correct way is very
important as a child because of the danger of overuse injuries rising all over the
world. Since overhead throwing is not a natural motion of the shoulder, it does
cause strain on the muscles. As a child, I couldn t get enough of sports, so for me
to gain this kind of knowledge through this class is interesting because I had no idea
that breaking down the steps or videotaping the action can breakdown the skill to see
what the child is doing wrong in the motion. The application to this information can
help me raise my kids, it can help me train those who come to me for help.
Developing as an individual is a never ending process and that is what interests me so
much; the fact that we continuously grow throughout our

The Stereotypes Of Crime In Oliver Twist By Charles
Dickens
From the end of the 18th century to the beginning of the 19th century, London was a
metropolis with a high crime rate. From 1745 to 1820, there were 115,000 people
who made their living by burglary, prostitution, swindle and other criminal acts. It is
horrible when we know that the total population of London at that time was just
960,000.
Presumably there was no other novelist in Victoria era that had such a strong concern
about crime, and incorporated so much description of crime in his works as Charles
Dickens (1812 1870) did. Oliver Twist was the second novel of Dickens published in
a serial form in a magazine titled BentleyКјs Miscellany run by himself from

neither used the criminal s name to be the title of the novel nor idealized the

criminal law system per se triggered his writing. Oliver Twist s criminals are poor,
ugly, and unroofed, and they serve as examples to where society steps back in its

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Anti Dynasty In The...
The issue I chose to reflect upon is about the political dynasties present in the
Philippines. I am not one to be interested in the government and its inner workings.
I don t watch the news, nor do I read the papers, but this topic is relevant to society
and is appealing to me. While doing my research, I was shocked to know that the
anti political dynasty bill has already been a subject that has been debated on in
the 1987 Constitutional Commission. Commissioner Vicente Foz started the
debate when he proposed the prohibition of political dynasties in the Philippines.
The opposition however was led by Commissioner Teodulo Navidad saying that
this would be declining the people their power to choose and elect their governors.
After a series of more debates and arguments, stating the disadvantages and
advantages, the proposal was rejected. In the year 2011, Sen. Miriam Defensor
Santiago resurfaced the anti dynasty bill using the previous arguments for the
passage of the bill, yet the anti dynasty bill did not get anywhere again. The
proposal by Foz was rejected, but that was in 1987. Now, 28 years later, in the year

Why Is Walt Whitman Considered A Transcendentalism
The elegy When lilacs last in the dooryard bloom d, written by Walt Whitman in
1865, extraordinarily emphasizes on the unexpected loss of love, succinctly portrayed
through the combination of three parts of free verse poems containing constant
comparison between transcendentalism and realism that sums up to 216 lines.
Abraham Lincoln, assassinated in 1865, is the man whom Whitman always talks
about, despite never been mentioned by name. The first section, stanza 1 4, conveys
his massive depression and ruthless despair through the metaphorical lilacs. The
second, stanza 5 9, depicts an emotional dramatization when the coffin is in progress
to be buried. The third, stanza 10 13, indicates the tributes and the actions that
Whitman is willing to do the best he could for the dead Lincoln. Stanza 14 16 sums
up the motif and symbolisms to develop the ideology of reconciliation of the eternal
loss. Whitman illuminates his reconciliation on the feeling of great loss through his

Emerson also praises Whitman that every word selection Whitman chooses are all

Whitman s words. Whitman later discovers that we do not have the body, we are a

that had remained faithful to him up until the very end about a dream he had had.
In his dream, he had seen a group of peasants, wretched and decrepit in appearance.
He asked them who they were. They replied, We are the saintly and the blessed; we
are on our way to heaven. Then he saw a crowd of formally attired men, aristocratic
and grim in appearance, speaking solemnly of important political matters. Again,
he asked them who they were and where they were going. We are the damned of Hell

There were many new ideas and theories popping up during that era. The cultural
revolution was causing civil unrest throughout Italy. Machiavelli s family was part of
Florentine nobility and well educated, but they were considered middle class
financially. Machiavelli loved to read classic literature, a characteristic of both his
parents, and his thinking was influenced by the Medici, Plato, Aristotle, Socrates,
Seneca, and his education at the University of Florence.
Born on May 3, 1469 in Florence, Italy, his father was Bernardo di NiccolГІ
Machiavelli and his mother was Bartolomea di Stefano Nelli, both from noble
families. In 1502, at the age of thirty three he married Marietta Corsini and
proceeded to have four sons and two daughters. He died on May 22, 1527 in
Florence, Italy with a bad reputation from his theories being misunderstood. His
grandson, Giovanni Ricci, was important because he preserved many of
Machiavelli s letters and writings for future generations to read and interpret.
Machiavelli had, overall, a very successful career and accomplished many things as
an important political figure in Italy. He was well renowned and considered the
first great politician of his time. He was also the first politician to apply Aristotle s
scientific method of separating morals from facts. But, he was also accused of
plagiarizing theories from others. At the relatively young age of twenty nine, he

women. There is no argument about its existence. The palpable gap in pay, the
predetermined attitudes men have toward women based on appearance, and the
laws men seek over women s reproductive rights attest to the government endorsed
existence of an imbalance of power. Everything is about power. In one of her best

concrete mixture that is able to consolidate under its own weight. The highly fluid
nature of SCC makes it suitable for placing in difficult condition in selections with

performance and more reliable quality, dense and uniform surface texture, improved
durability, high strength, and faster construction. By the early 1990 s, Japan has
developed and used SCC that does not require vibration to achieve full compaction.
More and more applications of SCC in construction have been reported in Japan. As
of the year 2000, the amount of SCC used for prefabricated products (precast

Compare And Contrast Baroque And Baroque Era
The Baroque Era and the Classical Era are two critical time periods in observing
music. Some of the most famous composers have written pieces that are popular in
the world today. The two periods share many similar characteristics, however new
genres and forms developed throughout each period because of new ideas and
knowledge spreading. My personal favorite is the Baroque period because of the
abundance of new musical knowledge that was introduced, particularly in Vivaldi s
famous piece La Primavera, Concertofor Violin and String Orchestra, Op. 8, No. 1, I.
The Baroque Era started in 1600 and lasted till 1750. Some of the famous
composers from the Baroque Era include Monteverdi, Vivaldi, Handel, and JS Bach.
Music in Baroque society became amusement for aristocrats, modern orchestra began
to evolve, and the idea of opera are beginning to develop. In many Baroque pieces
the use of a Basso Continuo, which is played by two instruments typically a keyboard
and a member of the strings family was found in many pieces during this time. The
Baroque period can be characterized with clear and distinct meter, repeated rhythmic
patterns, homophonic texture, and terraced dynamics. The Baroque is also classified
by its distinct genres including Fugue, Solo Concerto, and Cantata. The Ritornello
form being introduced had an impact on Baroque music because it is outlined using
harmonic progressions, key modulations, and motives from the main theme in order
to give character to a piece.

truancy problems early. This includes noting tardiness, patterns of tardiness and/or
absences or absences around particular days (such as holidays) as these may be red
flags that there is a problem. In order for the policy to be effective, students must be
made aware of the policy, held accountable for their actions, and the policy must be
followed consistently. (Meaning the consequences for truancy, such as detention, in
school suspension, counseling, etc. are enforced each and every time a child is
truant). When a student is absent, make every effort to contact the parent and try to
figure out what might be going on. If time allows, call the parent during the day
instead of calling in the evening. The teachers should talk to the student about why he
/she was absent. Make sure that the student realizes that the teachers are aware of the
absences and care about him/her being in school. Parents play the fundamental role in
the education of their children. This applies to every family regardless of the parents

Vygotsky’s Zone of Proximal Development Self Efficacy
...
In Vygotsky s concept, zone of proximal development he explains that it is the
distance between a child s developmental level, which is determined by independent
problem solving and the level of potential development as determined through
problem solving under adult guidance (Vygotsky, 1978, p174). This concept
is highly
used in education and in classrooms. For example, I work with a student who is
eighteen years of age and has intellectual disabilities. During our morning routine
he enjoys working on puzzles. He has a difficult time putting the puzzle together
so I help him with clues and or prompt him to the puzzle piece that fits. He moves
onto a new puzzle once I no longer have to give him clues or prompts. As I have
tracked his progress he has needed less prompt than he did three months ago. The
goal of this concept is that, as an adult collaborates with a child to help them move
from where they are to where they should be with help by accomplishing the exercise
through prompts, clues, modeling, and etc. Bandura has studied self efficacy, which is
the extent or strength of one s belief in one s own ability to complete tasks and
reach goals. Self efficacy can affect all types of behaviors like academics, social
and recreational. A child might have the ability to accomplish a task, but if they do
not feel like they are capable of doing so, then they may fail or may not attempt the
task. For example, in a study difficult math problems were given to children with
The Importance Of Theatre Arts For All High School
Students
Researching entertainment production was mildly interesting, as well as the
productions of theatre and the entertainment side. While researching theatre, I came
across the highs and lows of having the lack of funding for theatre programs in
school. The goal of this paper is to explain the importance of theatrearts in public
schools across the United States. The Theatre Arts Department provides performing
and creative experiences in Theatre for all High Schoolstudents. Theatre Arts
programs offer a wide range of curricular courses and extra curricular activities.
Learning and experiencing theatre arts correlate intensely with higher
accomplishments in both reading, math and social skills. Entertainment production is
being researched. The... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
From experience with being in theatre, studies show that and believes it helps to
build self esteem. It helps with being creative and having a desire to be motivated
in yourself as well as in things you love. It allows you to be free, to express how
you feel through words, emotions and gestures. Being in theatre also helps students
have a better connection with one another. It helps students be more self motivated,
be self directed learners as well as listeners in and out the classroom. Students in
theatre will improve communication skills, understand that improving
communication is a life¬long learning process. Students will understand the
importance of testing ideas and the desirability of diverse points of views on and
off stage. They will also be prepared to participate actively as responsible members
of society have the knowledge and skills needed to perform successfully in a
showcase. Being in Theatre Arts allows students to increase self confidence, express
ideas, and apply knowledge of nonverbal communication in sending and receiving
messages. Also, students will learn to demonstrate critical thinking and organizational
skills. The principle of acting and the need for good thinking are identical in adults
and children s theatre (Goldberg,24). Creative drama teaches appreciation of children
s theatre and the latter provides a motivation for the former. (Goldberg,9) It was
stated to share that children should learn the
Essay On Mama Joad In The Grapes Of Wrath
Mama Joad has proven herself to be one of the most involved and caring characters
throughout the The Grapes of Wrath written by John Steinbeck. Mama a woman
who holds her family together and is constantly showing her strengths. Even Pa
noticed the authority that Mama showed. She is an example of a strong mom that
every family would hope to have. Within the Church, there are seven Catholic
Social Justice Teachings, which include: the life and dignity of the human person;
call to family, community, and participation; rights and responsibilities; option for
the poor and vulnerable; the dignity of work and the rights for workers; solidarity;
and care for God s creation. A person who exemplifies the above characteristics is
someone who is attempting to lead the best life that they possibly can. Mama Joad
is a major character who lives by the seven tenets of Catholic Social Justice
Teaching, especially call to family, rights and responsibilities, and solidarity.
Throughout the story, Ma continues to show her love for her family, and follows
Catholic Social Justice Teaching of call to family, community, and participation.
Ma portrays her call to family the most. While the Joads were struggling to find
gas money, a place to live, and suffering through the sadness of Grandpa s death,
She walked for the family and held her head straight up for the family (ch 13). Ma
was able to hold the family together unlike anyone else. Not even Pa has the type of

Literature Review On Gout
LITERATURE REVIEW
The imbalance of trace elements was shown is involved in many disorders, such as
Gout. Sixty four elements were measured in the serum samples of Gout patients with
in three regionally and healthy control group by inductively coupled plasma mass
spectrometry (ICP MS). An elemental profile of Goutnotably altered Al, Li, Ti, Se,
Fe, Cu, Sr, Ta, Hg, U, Th, and Bi. An independent group of 39 gout patients and 13
healthy controls was further used to confirm the elemental analysis, yielding a
sensitivity of 1.00 and a specificity of 1.00 for Gout forecast. A good link was also
observed between Li, Zn, and Cu and further two risk aspects, age and serum urate
concentration, in Gout patients. Therefore it was accomplished that gout has a
distinctive elemental profile despite of many other nutritional and environmental
factors [1]. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In recent decades, studies have shown that the development of Hyperuriemia and
Gout is due to effect of lead on the tubular urate transport causing diminished urate
excretion. In the case of lead intoxication these effects were mostly linked with renal
failure. The clinical features of saturnine gout were basically same as that of primary
gout; though, acute attacks were likely to occur in the knee more recurrently. The
analysis of saturnine Gout was based on the history of exposure to lead, lead toxicity,
high serum lead levels and various other abnormalities. The treatment of Gout
consists of eliminating the further exposure to lead from the patient, to utilize
chelating agents for removal of lead, and management of acute Gouty Arthritis and

Why Join A Medical Science Academy
1.Why do you want to be part of the academy for which you are applying?
I would like to be part of the medical sciences academy because for as long as I can

life I ve hoped and dreamed for an opportunity to be able to show my worth, and by
joining this academy, I believe I can. I want to join a program that brings out the best
in me and that challenges me to be the best that I can be. I want to be someone that
saves others when they need saving the most. I want to give back to the less
fortunate. Not only would I want to help people, but animals as well. I would help
anyone who needs it. I want to be able to make others appreciate and be thankful for

As a grown up, you cannot depend on other people to do things for you, you have
to get them done yourself. I think the moment I realized I was finally growing up
was the minute I saw my St. Brendan acceptance letter in the mail. My heart
dropped the second I laid eyes on it, my throat dried, and I found myself at a loss
for words. I stood completely frozen, reading my name on the card continuously.
As I grasped the envelope in my hands, I realized that I wasn t just holding onto
some random paper I was holding onto my future. My future depended on this. At
that very moment, I began to think about how I wasn t a little girl anymore, and
that the inside of that letter would decide whether or not I had what it took to
succeed. After hesitating for a while, I tore the letter open to find that I had been
accepted. That was the exact moment when I realized that I was growing up by
being accepted into this school, I found myself aware of the fact that this was it.
Four more years of hard work and dedication, then I d be off to college, and after
that, to begin a fresh, new life. In life, many different paths must be taken to become
something, to be someone to be triumphant. Growing up is one of those paths
everyone must take in order to succeed and I believe I m doing everything in my
power to become exactly that

Without enough insulin, your body begins to break down fat as an alternate fuel.
This process produces a build up of toxic acids in the bloodstream called ketones,
eventually leading to diabetic ketoacidosis if untreated.
Hyperosmolar Hyperglycaemic nonketotic syndrome (type 2 diabetes mellitus)
Hyperosmolar Hyperglycaemic Nonketotic state (HHNS) is most likely to occur
when you re sick, and elderly people are most likely to develop it. It starts when
your blood glucose level starts to climb: when that happens, your body will try to get
rid of all the excess glucose through frequent urination. That dehydrates your body,

Decrease Of The Behavior Of Perfectionism
This major term paper is designed to show the decrease of the behaviour of
perfectionism within a 20 year old, male university student. This paper is designed
to achieve a more realistic and sustainable lifestyle as well as to decrease the
negative effects of perfectionism and effective ways of dealing with this type of
behaviour. Negative effects of perfectionism typically include depression, anxiety,
OCD, deterioration of social aspects and emotional aspects. In the past methods he
has used included maintain outside social relations, decreasing the withdrawal period
after an unattainable goalhasn t been achieved. Often times the participant would

Political Views On Abortion
One of the most controversial topics in politics is abortion. In class, we talked
about the different type of abortions there are and the many different opinions that
people may have about them. We also discussed the many reasons why a woman
may choose to have an abortion. And surprisingly, what I thought I knew about
them was completely wrong. Thus since learning about the reasons why one may
get an abortion, I have changed my opinion on the topic and I was curious to find
out what my mom s opinion may be because abortions were not something that we
had discussed before. Also, I thought it would be interesting to see if our opinions
differed dramatically since most of our values come from our parents. Overall, my
mother was in support of... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I was not aware that she was in support of abortions, however, it is refreshing to
know that she can put her religious beliefs aside and support other women having
control over their bodies. Although she herself claimed that she would likely not
consider getting an abortion because of her beliefs and the support she has from her
family, she still thought that every woman should have the option if they chose to
get one. Surprisingly, she brought up some points that I had not considered like
having the cost of abortion covered for women who cannot afford abortions
themselves because they also could likely not afford contraceptives to prevent these
unwanted pregnancies. Her opinions were also pretty much in line with what I
expected her to believe. Overall, I was not that surprised by her responses and I do
think this interview went pretty well for the both of us. It was not emotionally
charged and it turns out that her opinions closely reflect my
United States Agricultural Stakeholder Views And Actions...
Executive Summary
The following literature review summarizes research on United States agricultural
stakeholder views and actions towards climate change, including extreme weather,
adaptation and mitigation measures, and climate forecasting tools. The majority of
references discussed are from 2000 2015 and are peer reviewed journal articles
containing surveys and interviews; we also include relevant non peer reviewed
reports. The review focuses on the attitudes and actions of United States farmers,
ranchers, university researchers, extension educators, agriculture advisors, and other
agricultural stakeholders towards climate change. We focus particularly on the
literature assessing stakeholders understanding of climate science, whether ... Show

stakeholders farmer stakeholder engagement process around the issue of climate
change that fails to systematically understand and incorporate individuals their
values, beliefs, identities, goals, and social networks may fail to bring about the
desired adaptive (and/or mitigative?) responses (2012). By understanding what U.S.
agricultural stakeholders believe about climate change including its impacts and risks
to operations, and potential adaptation and mitigation strategies researchers,
education specialists and policy makers can design more effective research studies,
strategies, programs to transform adaptation and mitigation action in the United
States. In addition, climate change adaptation and mitigation in agriculture needs to
be understood within the context of agriculturale impacts at the local, regional, and

Theory Assignment on American History X Essay
Theory Assignment on American History X This movie tells the story of a young
man, from Southern California, that is the product of several unfortunate
incidents, and his misguided search trying to answer the question why his life is
the way it is. I. Daniel appeared to be dealing with the adolescent stage. Daniel
seems to have developed his sense of self worth by mimicking his older brother.
Daniels significant relationships, since his brothers incarceration has been derricks

Daniel is trying to live up to what he believes are his older brother s ideals, which
he believes are following in the foot steps of Nazis. Hate anyone that is not white and

The most telling environmental factor was the influence Derrick s father had on
his way of thinking. During the scene when Derricks is talking about the book
Native Son, Derrick s father tells him that he should be wary of any new books
that this black Dr that Derrick is so excited about, assigns for reading. These
factors help determine the course of Derrick s actions, and are therefore the parts
that make up and they help define the system of the film. 3. The first identified
population is the black youth in the neighborhood. One of the reasons for their high
risk factor is the role models shown in the film. At the basketball court, during the
scene when the young black male shows his mentor, where Daniel is pointed out as
the one who is slated to be shot, the victimization of the impressionable youth is
apparent. If my hero is talking about he ain t nothing, then for sure that is where my
mind is going to be. By not having role models that portrayed societal norms, these
youths are placed at risk If no one I know behaves in a manner that conforms with
society, how can I be expected to understand what society expects. In the bathroom
scene, when Daniel stands up to the three black youths, and tells the beaten white
youth he has to stand up for himself, he is a marked man. Another population

Is Brutus Speech Good Or Bad
Killing Caesar: Good or Bad Is Brutus or Antony s speech more effective? Both
speeches affected the people in a different way. Antony s speech appealed to the
people more considering that he used emotion in his speech. Brutus tells the people
why Caesar had to die. Antony makes the people understand what Brutus and the
conspirators did to Caesar. Comparing both the speeches they were similar and
different in some ways. Brutus uses logic to persuade the audience to visualize why
the conspirators had to kill Caesar. Brutus states to the people Belive me for mine
honor, and have respected to mine honor, that you may believe me (III ii, 14 16).

Antony said he was my friend, faithful and just to me (III, ii, 87). Antony makes the
people feel sympathy for him. Antony proved that Caesar was not ambitious by
giving some examples. Caesar brought captives for reason that benefited Rome.
Caesar cried for the poor. Caesar refused the crown three times. Caesar s will left
money and land for the common people of Rome. Friends, Roman, countrymen (III,
ii, 75). Stating this he shows that he is one of them. In both the speeches there was
some similarities but mostly differences. The speeches were similar because they
both contained evidence that said Caesar was a good person, Both characters say they
are a common person. The speeches were by far different. The most different thing
was that Brutus uses logic, compared to Antony using emotion. Antony using emotion
affected the people more than Brutus did by giving the people facts. Antony s speech
was more effective to the people. Antony makes the people understand what happened
to Caesar. Brutus thought that Caesar had to die. Both speeches were similar and
different. Both speeches really affected the
Proposed Socio Spatial Network Models And Compare
Them...
In this section we present our computational results of the properties of the
proposed socio spatial network models and compare them with those of ER, SW,
and BA networks when it is appropriate. More specifically, we measure clustering
coefficient, network density, average path length, assortativity, transitivity, and
min, max, mean, and standard deviation degree. While several algorithms have
been proposed for some of these measures, for simplicity of reproducing the results,
we use the algorithms that have been implemented in the Python s Networkx
library. All results are averaged over 25 independent model runs with different
random seeds. It should be noted that in all analysis in this study we only consider
undirected networks. Moreover, since the focus of this study is on the human
social network, we limit our analysis to Onnela et al s (2011) findings that α ≈
1.5 and only consider three values of О± = 1.2, 1.5, and 2 for our sensitivity
analysis purposes. 4 1 Properties of the Spatial Erdös Rényi Network In this
subsection we compute and report the characteristics of our proposed SER social
network in terms of empirical regularity measures. ER and SER networks have
different parameters, so pairwise comparisons are not possible. However, computing
and comparing their network properties can provide valuable insights about their
behavior under considered parameter settings. Here we report network properties for
three different values of connection probability p in the ER
Serato Scratch Live VS Traktor Scratch Essay
Serato Scratch Live VS Traktor Scratch
Does turntable mixing define a DJ or can a computer DJ rock the house just
as hard? Nowadays, there are several types of equipment that a DJ (Disc Jockey)
can use to rock a party. Unlike twenty years ago with turntables and vinyl records,
today there are CD players, MIDI controllers, software programs, and turntables
connected to programs like Serato Scratch Live and Traktor Scratch that can be used
for performances. A lot of DJs have different opinions about this matter. Some feel
that sticking with turntables is the way to go because real DJs use wax (vinyl), and
some feel that keeping up with technology is evolution (some call it a revolution). The

Thus, allowing for the DJ to manipulate them with the many tricks
that have been learned through the years; scratching, juggling, and flashbacks. These
tricks have been used by many DJs as a unique signature to a performance that set
them apart from the norm. While both programs allow for scratching and turntable
tricks without any delay in song play, Traktor excels with its effects. It has the best
effects in sound options and potential of the effects on the market. For example,
the Traktor program allows the DJ to excel in his/her performance by adding over
twenty different effects options to the program. This comes from Traktor s years of
experience in engineering effects for other programs like Reaktor that has 3000+
effects and options available. Serato does have a series of effects and sounds that
are available, but its quality is less than to be desired. For instance, the amount of
effects available is twelve and there is a lack of quality that these effects have that can
sometimes make the track sound distorted. There is talk about increasing the sound
options by allowing for secondary programmers to add open source plug ins to Serato,
but there is no scheduled date of when that will happen. In the meantime, if The
Bridge is added to Serato, taking advantage of Ableton s effects for a live performance
or studio recording session
Comparing The Differences Of Apples. Apple Vs Microsoft...
Microsoft vs. Apple Apple and Microsoft personally, are two different types of
computer designs with their own strengths and weaknesses. Many of their
differences are purely cosmetic, but others are major, including their built in
system tools, available applications, and overall usability. The graphics between
the two are different but very similar. Windows trademark design is its start menu,
the globe with the Windows logo where all files, folders, and applications can be
found. Mac OS has Finder, very much like windows explorer or Fire fox and the
Dock, a small strip of application icons at the bottom of the screen for easy access
to your most used programs, similar to the taskbar on the Windows desktop. This is
mostly a cosmetic difference: two ways of accessing your files and applications.
Windows also keeps its Start bar at the bottom (you can move it to the top or either
side) while Apple has its menu bar at the top. The placement of the close,
minimize, and maximize buttons are also reversed: Windows has its buttons on
the top right while Mac OS has its buttons on the top left. Windows has claim to
much more software because it is more widely used than the Mac OS. Many
software companies simply don t have the resources to develop for two different
systems, so they choose the one with the most users. Many software companies do
create versions of their products for the Mac OS, and other vendors create lookalike
versions for the Mac, but the programs aren t always as

Essay Father.pdf

  • 1. Essay Father Writing an essay on the topic "Essay Father" is no easy task. The challenge lies not only in the technical aspects of essay composition but also in navigating the emotional and personal dimensions that this subject entails. The term "father" carries a multitude of connotations, ranging from biological relationships to broader concepts of mentorship, guidance, and paternal influence. Crafting an essay on this topic requires a delicate balance between introspection and objectivity. One must delve into personal experiences, memories, and emotions, while simultaneously maintaining a coherent and well-structured narrative. The challenge is to avoid becoming overly sentimental or biased, striking a chord with readers while remaining true to the intended message. Moreover, the diversity of fatherly roles and relationships adds complexity to the writing process. A writer may explore the nuances of their own relationship with their father or delve into societal expectations and stereotypes surrounding fatherhood. This requires a nuanced understanding of the cultural, social, and familial contexts that shape the concept of a father. The difficulty is further heightened by the potential for the essay to be highly subjective, as personal experiences vary greatly. Balancing individual anecdotes with broader reflections on the significance of fathers in society can be a formidable task. In conclusion, writing an essay on the topic "Essay Father" is a challenging endeavor that demands a skillful blend of personal reflection, analytical thinking, and effective communication. The writer must navigate the complexities of emotion, societal expectations, and individual experiences to create a compelling and insightful piece. For those who find themselves grappling with this task or seeking inspiration, similar essays and additional assistance can be found on platforms like HelpWriting.net. Essay Father Essay Father
  • 2. Stock Market and Firm Essay Background The Blackstone Group (Blackstone) is a private equity firm founded in 1985 by two former employees of Lehman Brothers. In May 2007 the firm had $88.4 billion under management and had grown 41% annually since 2001. The firm operated in several business groups but distinguished itself from other firms by extensive collaboration across divisions. It was divided into Corporate Private Equity, Real Estate Funds, Marketable Alternative Asset Management, Corporate Debt Funds, and Advisory Services. In 2007 Blackstone started to evaluate the option of taking the firm public. Reasons why the firm should do an IPO, outlined by the firm s internal project group, included: Permanent pool of inexpensive capital and a wider group ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Third, to further smooth out potential fluctuations in the share price the firm guarantees a dividend during the first years after listing. The fact that the stock market tends to be short term focused further shows the importance of having the MLP structure. To maintain the long term focus on investments the firm needs to separate the governance of the firm from the shareholders and the limited voting rights will ensure this. 2.If you were a limited partner in Blackstone, how would you view the structure Blackstone has put in place to go public? As a limited partner in Blackstone I would consider the structure as chosen to ensure my interests. Given the fact that the firm chose to go public for the opportunities that a listing brings, it seems to be the best way of doing it. I would be most worried about that the firm would try too much to stabilize the share price and fulfil the interest of the shareholders by focusing on short term profits. Many of the limited partners in a private equity fund are pensions funds or similar and do not mind to lock their money over a longer time period and, by doing so, seek the long term profit that the private equity firm can offer. I will highlight the two things that make me confident that my interests as a limited partner will be maintained with the structure that the firm is implementing. First, the structure allows
  • 3. The Salary Inequities For The Female Employees Essay Mike Honda once said, Equal pay isn t just a women s issues; when women get equal pay, their family income rise and the whole family benefits (Honda, n.d.). Although more businesses are supportive of closing the pay gap, it is still a problem in most established companies. There are several reasons for the pay gap, yet in many cases it is thought that the main reason is because women are less likely to negotiate their salary. Even if this is the case, companies need to be aware of their employee s salaries to stay within their legal obligation. This is what Joe Black, the president of Acme Manufacturing, has discovered within his organization. Critical Factors The central dilemma for this case with Acme Manufacturing is the salary inequities for the female employees. There are concerns that these inequities were the result of gender discrimination based on the information provided by the current HR director and her belief of how the previous president felt about female employees at the company. Although this may be hearsay, the fact that there are inequities and rumors, it is still grounds for concern and further investigation by HR. Joe Black, the current President of the company, is looking for the best solution to resolve these concerns. Based on the job evaluation study performed by a compensation consultant, there is a concern that three female supervisors and the female HR director are underpaid relative to comparable male salaried employees. Now that this
  • 4. Similarities Between The Empire State Building And The... Around the world, there are different kinds of buildings and constructions that represent a country or city. Evidently, buildings are different from one to another in location, aging time, and materials of construction. Nevertheless, many buildings share some similarities. Many people know that The Empire State Buildingand The Eiffel Towerare in different continents and that at first glance they have nothing in common. Otherwise, they share some similarities like being the tallest buildings in the city that each is located, the number of observatories, and One of their similarities is the height. Both Empire State Building and The Eiffel Tower are the tallest infrastructure in their cities. The Empire State Building with 1,250 feet in the top floor and 1,454 feet to the tip is the tallest building in the city of New York, this building that nowadays is a point of attraction for tourist in the big apple opened in May 1931. Likewise, The Eiffel Tower located in Europe with 906 feet in the top floor and 1,063 feet to the tip is the tallest construction in the city of Paris. It has been open for tourist since 1889 and it was the tallest building in the world from 1889 to 1930. Another similarity between The Empire State Building and The Eiffel Tower is that both possess observatories in the top floor. The Empire State Building has two observatories; one on the 86th floor that in the last few years have been closed to the public and one on the 102nd floor; if
  • 5. Pluto Pros And Cons People love Pluto, whether they are young or old it does not seem to matter. The planet (and Walt Disney s beloved character) holds a special place in a lot of people s hearts. Yet, this only became clear to me after reading The Pluto Files by Neil deGrasse Tyson. I remember when Pluto s classification changed from being a planet to a dwarf planet however, I was never aware of how big of a controversy it caused. The fact that there was a conference deciding whether or not we should keep Pluto as our ninth planet was not something I was aware of previously to this book. Tyson does a wonderful job explaining the story of Pluto and not only the how the planet was reclassified but also why. As we spoke about in class Pluto does not really fit into the categories of being a planet, this was one of the major arguments as to why Pluto should not be considered our nineth planet anymore. I believe that it is interesting that some people were trying to then create a classification specifically for Pluto. However, this obviously did not come to be as there must be more than one of something in order for it... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... What is surprising is how people reacted and continue to over the decision. I agree with Tyson when he says Find quote about Pluto being the smallest planet and largest dwarf planet Yet, it is surprising that a lot of people do not feel this way. Why are people so emotionally attached to an object that is billions of miles away? Is it because it was one of the easier planets to remember in the solar system? Or perhaps it was because it was the smallest and people tend to cheer for the underdog. No doubt Disney s fun, loving pup had some help in the matter as well. Whatever the case people feel strongly enough about the issue to write Tyson personally about the regrouping of their favorite planet. Again what surprises me is that it was not only children but also
  • 6. The Contribution Of Ludwig Van Beethoven Abstract Ludwig Van Beethoven was one of the greatest musical composers of his time. Starting very young in his studies of music, he held many important positions they would develop him into the composer he became. Born in Bonn, Germany to a singer, he held his first position at the church. He later moved to Vienna where his composed several pieces, and even an opera. He created a new style of music, cyclic form. Background Ludwig van Beethoven (1770 28 March 1827) was one of the greatest art musicians, and probably had more influence over musical events than any composer, of his time (Charlton, 2016). He was born in Bonn, Germany to Father Johann van Beethoven, and named after his grandfather, Ludwig van Beethoven. There is no official record of his birthday, but the church had on file his baptism on 17 December 1770. Because one of his teacher celebrated his birthday on 16 December, his birthday is generally accepted to be on this date. He had seven brothers and sister, being one of three to survive early childhood. Beethoven s Grandfather, Ludwig van Beethoven (1712 1773), moved to Bonn when he was in his twenties. He was employed as a bass singer to the Elector of Cologne. In 1761, he became the music director. Ludwig was father to Johann (1740 1792), his only son. Johann Beethoven was a tenor singer in the same place has his father. Johann gave piano and violin lessons in his spare time to assist his income. Johann fell in love
  • 7. Implementing A Nutrition Education Component On The Double... Project design: This project seeks to implement a nutrition education component in the Double Up Food Bucks program at the Oakland County Farmer Market The first step in achieving the goal of increasing the purchase and consumption of SNAP beneficiaries in Oakland County is to increase the participation rates of the DUBF program. A good way to accomplish this is through promotion. Promoting the the DUFB program and what is has to offer will increase awareness and educate participants of the benefits they are able to receive when they shop at the farmers market. Starting two months prior to the beginning of the farmers market season, the community dietitian will have developed numerous promotional advertisements . With the help of an assistant, the advertisements will be sent out and displayed at local businesses, community centers, government agencies and libraries within Oakland County. Promotional marketing types will include newsletters, flyers, brochures, and websites. Each advertisement material will include information about the farmers market, such as day and time of operation and location of market, as well as information on the DUFB program, the SNAP incentives offered, and benefits of participating. Additionally, the marketing material will promote the opportunity of nutritioneducation and ability to speak with a RD to answer any questions they may have. • 8. Love Battlefield Metaphors Over the course of our lives we have heard many different metaphors and noticed their societal effects. One metaphor that people consider thought provoking is that love is a battlefield . People consider it thought provoking because love is a battlefield can be thought of in many situations. Two situations that can be related to this metaphor include a struggle within a group and also a struggle within oneself. The first example of a struggle within a group could be when two people are fighting for the loveof one person. This metaphor can be perceived in this situation in a way that when they are fighting each other, it is really the love they have for that third person or ideal fighting. A second example of a struggle within a group is when people in the group support different sports teams. There are some groups that take this conflictseriously. One of the most popular rivalries known around the Cincinnati area is the Xavier and U.C rivalry. Love is a battlefield can be perceived in this situation as the fans love for the sports teams competing... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One effect of this alternate metaphor is the fact that it makes people believe that love is something that you can just talk about with someone or a group while love is a battlefield makes you believe that love is something you have to fight for. Some adjectives that come to mind when you read love is a natural force are: normal, friendly, and cooperative. However, adjectives that come to mind when you think about love is a battlefield are: anger, frustration, and regret. One example of love is a natural force is the regular feeling of love that you have for your family. When you are around family, you feel like they are looking after you and the love towards them feels natural and just flows out. So while love is a battlefield expresses the idea that love sometimes requires conflict love is a natural force just comes
  • 9. Fast Food Still As Unhealthy As Ever Analysis The second way fast food contributes to our obesity epidemic is the unhealthy contents it is comprised of. There is no doubt that fast food is unhealthy. Even the healthy options always have some unhealthy aspect to it. But we can t deny that it is delicious and sometimes even better than if we were to make a similar burger or salad at home. However, this delicious taste comes with some costs costs that negatively affect your health. As I ve said before, fast foodis high in calories and contains a lot of ingredients that we ve never heard of before. But we re not alarmed by because we are distracted by the food s yummy flavor. Pollan and his wife and son went to McDonald s for a lunch outing. After eating their entire meal, he was astonished... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It only takes a few fast food meals to gain some pounds. And you may not even notice. It is know that, as Americans, we eat more than we should be eating. We are the leaders in obesity practically. According to the article Fast Food Still as Unhealthy as Ever , written by Jim Algar, researchers at Preventing Chronic Disease found one meal of a cheeseburger with French fries and soda could rack up 80 percent of a person s daily recommended calories and 139 percent of their recommended salt intake (2015). That means Pollan ate almost 80 percent of his recommended calorie intake just in one sitting! That sounds very unhealthy because he would still have one more meal to go dinner. If we can just get by with one fast food meal a day and a light dinner, we probably wouldn t be prone to a large weight gain. However, when you add a large breakfast and a fairly large dinner to the 80 percent fast food meal, you will definitely gain weight. Fast food satisfies us for a while. After we eat a large fast food meal, it holds us for a few hours. But there are some people who eat it more than once a day. They are going way above the daily calorie intake at this rate. Now let s talk about the sodium intake. The meal mentioned in Algar s article is a whopping 139 percent of our recommended salt intake. We are going to bloat at this rate. We are consuming high amounts of sodium which makes us thirsty. We then consume large amounts of water to quench our thirst. Then we bloat. This of course is not good for our body. As we can see, these high numbers that we can reach when consuming a simple fast food meal contributes to the obesity

Whether we are at a restaurant, buying a house or car, or even having a day at the spa. A contract is a written or expressed agreement between at least two parties to provide a service or product and can be legally enforced if drawn up correctly. It is most common for a contract to be written and signed by both parties, but there are other forms of contracts including expressed contract and implied in fact contracts. Consideration is the next element of a contract. It is something of value that is exchanged between the parties involved in the contract in the form of money or promise to do something or perform. In order to qualify as consideration, it must be bargained for and legally sufficient. In this case, Stan (promisor) offers Jim and Laura (promisee) to hold the vehicle with a deposit of $100, Jim and Laura accepts, the $100 is the consideration (value) for the hold of the vehicle (performance). The consideration meets both qualifications because there is not a legal obligation already in place for the offer and it was bargained for by the exchange of promise and something of value. A contract must be for a legal purpose and not for any purpose that may break any laws. A court will not back up and support a contract that has any intention of breaking the law. Based on the information from the scenario, neither Jim, Laura nor Stan Salesman appear to have any illegal intent when entering the potential contract. Jim and Laura were legitimately looking to replace their current vehicle that had been giving them mechanical problems and to use it to travel from work and school. Being of legal age and of sound mind is the capacity of the contract. Capacity means a person s legal ability to enter into a contract. When looking at who can enter a contract a few
  • 13. And Disadvantages Of A Suspension Bridge Advantages and Disadvantages of a Suspension Bridge: As the name implies, suspension bridges hold the roadway by cables, ropes or chains from two tall towers. These towers support the majority of the weight as compression pushes down on the suspension bridge s deck and then travels up the cables, ropes or chains to transfer compression to the towers (Lamb Morrissey, 2000). The towers then distribute the compression directly into the earth. The supporting cables, on the other hand, receive the bridge s tension forces. These cables run horizontally between the two far flung anchorages. Bridge anchorages are essentially solid rock or massive concrete blocks in which the bridge is grounded. Roadway panels are lifted from the bottom up while suspension bridges are under construction; so this can limit access to highways or waterways that will be underneath the bridge. That will create a large damage and impact on local economy when it comes to transportation systems that carry a lot of traffic. 3. There are load limitations. Suspension bridges can only withstand a certain amount of weight, which means that only a certain type of traffic are able to cross a suspension bridge or it will fail. For some communities, this may limit access options to their region at large because only a certain amount of the population can cross the bridge at any given moment. This Second World War caused many lives to be lost, damaged personal properties and was expensive, for a great deal of money was required to maintain a country s military strength. The numbers for those that have passed, been wounded or gone missing during the war could never be calculated precisely; though it has been estimated that more than 55 million lives perished. Many historians have traced the causes of World War II to the problems left unsolved by the First World War (1914 1918). Such beliefs helped nations justify their conquest of other lands and the poor treatment of minorities within their borders. Nationalism was a chief cause of World War I, and it grew even stronger after that war. Nationalism went hand in hand with feelings of national displeasure. For instance, many Germans felt humiliated by their country s defeat in World War I and its harsh treatment under the Treaty of Versailles. During the 1930 s, they enthusiastically supported an aggressive nationalistic organization called The Nazi Party. The Nazi Party declared that Germany had a right to become strong again. Besides Germany nationalism also gained strength in Italy and Japan. The Peace of Paris established an international organization called The League of Nations to maintain peace. Each country backed its own interests at the expense of other countries which prevented The League from working effectively. Therefore only weak countries agreed to submit their disagreements to The League of Nations for settlement. While strong nations reserved the right to settle their disputes by threats or force. The political unrest and poor economic conditions that developed after World War I enabled dictatorships to arise in several countries. Preventing Fraud at Mogel s Inc. 1)The Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commissions (COSO) declared in 2011 that keeping a moral tone is an effective way for organizations to prevent fraud. The values, integrity and competence of the company s leaders and the presence of a positive management philosophy encourage low level employees to be honest and morally upright (COSO, 2011). When employees observe that executives behave unethically, they become more likely to engage in fraudulent behavior because they see that it is tolerated. Mogel s Inc. could establish control through a code of conduct covering all employees. The presence of formal policies can only be effective when it is properly and consistently enforced and when competent and trustworthy individuals are rewarded (McNeal, 2011) 2)Mogel s Inc. can also benefit from an organizational structure that clearly denotes company hierarchy. Employees should pass reports to their supervisors or give formal updates of the company s processes. For instance, it would be ideal for an internal auditor to regularly report to an audit committee. Relevant information would freely flow from employees to the company s management and this raised level of awareness is a deterrent for fraudulent activities which flourish when supervision is low (McNeal, 2011). A clear organizational structure encourages transparency in a company. It also informs employees of the people they can report to if they suspect that anything is amiss. (McNeal, 2011).
  • 16. The Battle Of The River The river was an important avenue of approach for the Union army to reach and gain control of Vicksburg. The Loess Bluffs bordering the Mississippi River provided excellent observation positions for Confederate artillery to fire upon any enemy approaching via the river. Ships were particularly vulnerable to their fire because of an oxbow north of the city s waterfront where ships were forced to slow down to make the treacherous turn. The river approach afforded no opportunities for cover and concealment. The Confederate positions at Fort Hill and South Fort had clear fields of fire regarding approaching gunboats that afforded them a great advantage. The oxbow proved a challenging obstacle for Union approach, and was considered in the design and placement of artillery positions by the Confederates at Fort Hill and the river batteries along the waterfront. The Confederates placed additional obstacles in the form of explosive mines within the waters of the river and canal to the north and south of the city. The U.S.S. Cairo sunk in the Yazoo River Canal due to one of these mines during the winter of 1862 while on a mission to clear the river of mines and rid the channel of Confederate batteries. The city of Vicksburgin itself was the key terrain. This fortified city was positioned to protect the Mississippi River, and without taking Vicksburg...the outcome of the Civil War would have completely different. In art, the Russian people immortalize their history through songs about their true inner power and endurance. Bands like Alisa, DDT, Gazmanov, and Arkona comment on the state of modern Russia in comparison to it s past, and while some bands idealize the inner Slavs of the Russian people, others glorify their endurance, and others still are accepting of the new lack of strength in the modern Russian. As Russia reevaluates it s past, each voice acts as a foothold on which Russia regains it s balance. For bands like Alisa and Arkona, the Russian pride and identity lies in battles and folktales. Their performances speak to the earliest Russian character; the tough, brutish, fur covered, god worshiping Slav. Their lyrics often claim a genetic, or spiritually intrinsic drive in the Russian people, singing phrases like But there is a sky of the Slavs boiling in our veins , But Russian speech clanks by chain armor (Alisa), You have been a victim of crazy waters in a death battle with wind. You put your hands in the sky and wait for Rod s (the Slavic deity of Fate) answer Hey, hey, cheer up! Hoy, hoy, go in fight again! If you are brave you are stronger. (Arkona). Strategic leadership requires personal outlook of the church which will increase the involvement and ministry outreach of the congregants. Strategic leadership in the twenty first century has increased as the rising Millennial generation places new aspects of leadershipwhich require higher standards more relevance from the church; becoming transparent. Malphurs stresses the concern of the church, stating, I have compared the typical church in North America to a ship without a compass, drifting aimlessly on the ocean. It doesn t know where it is or where it is going. And if that is not bad enough, the winds of change and the current of postmodernism are relentlessly blowing and pulling the church even farther off course. Postmodernism has become the venom the church has struggled to keep the church alive by biblically attacking the theory there is no absolute truth, which contradictory to the biblical context. Strategic leadership has increased amazingly in most areas of the church, but in the majority, the church has declined because of the lack thereof. Thomas V Mowbray Revolutionised And Created A New The case of Thomas v Mowbray revolutionised and created a new, broad, perspective of the constitutional defence powers in regards to terrorism. This was the first case to reach the High Court on the validity of anti terrorism measures that were recently introduced to Australia by the executive. Thomas made several submissions within this case, including that the defence power was limited to defence against threats from foreign states and that the words naval and military present in the wording of the section confines the defence power to those activities and cannot underpin broader activities to protect the community. Unfortunately, on the first point there was a 6:1 majority that the law was valid under the power for threats both domestic and foreign. Kirby J dissent held that the Commonwealth had essentially failed to establish the factual basis that was needed to support its reliance on the defence power. Further, Kirby J concluded that the facts underpinning the war on terror did not constitute hostilities for the purposes of the first limb of the defence power. The majority of the High Court upheld the constitutional validity of the anti terrorismlaws that allowed for the courts to impose control orders upon persons of whom they believed to pose a threat due to their connections to listed terrorist organisations, regardless of the possibly that some derogable rights maybe be overridden. The control order imposed on Thomas required him to remain in his residence

From the time of the evolution of computer and internet, large scale industries, commercial institutions, financial institutions have become more dependent on cyber space. But at the same time cyber crimes have become the biggest threat to the users of information technology. Considering cyber crimes, many countries have come up with cyber laws, some countries have implemented them and some will implement. This essay has attempted to deal with cyber crimes and cyber laws; it has tried to solve the problems relating to cyber crimes. India is one of those countries who have implemented cyber law. In year 2000, India came with a law in cyber space called Information Technology Act, 2000, which was later amended in 2008. As cyber crimes do not have geographical boundaries, therefore to fight against it we need a uniform law, and proper implementation of it. Within this play, Hedda s insecurity and uncaring demeanor reveal the tragic truth that Hedda, a beautiful young woman, was born with only one inalienable right: to live for nothing. Upon close inspection, one can see that Hedda s irrational actions are caused largely by her own insecurity. Her true emotions are revealed when Judge Brack tells her, This whole Eilert Lovborg business didn t come off exactly the way I described it (Ibsen 1535). Hedda immediately becomes worried after hearing this. Is Eilert Lovborg even dead? Instead of courageously killing himself, was he brutally murdered? Hedda doesn t know, and the value she places on Lovborg s death is immense. In fact, to her, it s worth her life. Hedda s uncaring demeanor is important because it gives us a glimpse of her true character. It shows us that she s been hiding behind a disguise throughout the entire play. It s hiding the fact that she s hurting deeply on the inside because others like Thea and Lovborg have found happiness while she has not. Also, it tells us that she is just another human being who wants nothing more than to be fulfilled. Sadly, fate has determined that she will live without this feeling of

If we explore the ways in which the Greeks understood themselves, and how they play a part in the world socially, the internal importance of these texts become quite obvious. It instructs the Greeks how to live their lives, in doing so, the texts construct a guideline for them to follow; establishing rules and highlighting characteristics which are to be assumed by the Greeks to fit in with their presupposed role. However, a dichotomy occurs in the way these texts are used, in that, while it explained the world internally, it coincides with the external explanations of the fundamental nature, and metaphysical reality of the world in which they live. By analysing fragments from the pre Socratics, we can see how important the Theogony was in fuelling this new mode of thinking, which would later result in an aspect completely distinctive of the Greek mind. I will be now arguing the importance of the Theogony, in prompting rational thought in the later sixth century B.C.E. Historians will argue that the Greeks change in thought was a sudden shift from a mythical explanation, to a rational one, or the Greek miracle , as it often labelled. I however, will contest that there was no sudden, complete shift away from their mythical explanation. No, it was far too entrenched in their mind to have suddenly disappeared when a small number of

He was also the first politician to apply Aristotle s scientific method of separating morals from facts. But, he was also accused of plagiarizing theories from others. The palpable gap in pay, the predetermined attitudes men have toward women based on appearance, and the laws men seek over women s reproductive rights attest to the government endorsed existence of an imbalance of power. Everything is about power. • 39. Compare And Contrast Baroque And Baroque Era The Baroque Era and the Classical Era are two critical time periods in observing music. Some of the most famous composers have written pieces that are popular in the world today. The two periods share many similar characteristics, however new genres and forms developed throughout each period because of new ideas and knowledge spreading. My personal favorite is the Baroque period because of the abundance of new musical knowledge that was introduced, particularly in Vivaldi s famous piece La Primavera, Concertofor Violin and String Orchestra, Op. 8, No. 1, I. The Baroque Era started in 1600 and lasted till 1750. Some of the famous composers from the Baroque Era include Monteverdi, Vivaldi, Handel, and JS Bach. Music in Baroque society became amusement for aristocrats, modern orchestra began to evolve, and the idea of opera are beginning to develop. In many Baroque pieces the use of a Basso Continuo, which is played by two instruments typically a keyboard and a member of the strings family was found in many pieces during this time. The Baroque period can be characterized with clear and distinct meter, repeated rhythmic patterns, homophonic texture, and terraced dynamics. The Baroque is also classified by its distinct genres including Fugue, Solo Concerto, and Cantata. The Ritornello form being introduced had an impact on Baroque music because it is outlined using harmonic progressions, key modulations, and motives from the main theme in order to give character to a piece.

Consistency refers to the means by which the attendance policy is put into practice by everyone involved with the school. The school policy document needs to be owned by all staff. The objective of the school policy document is to promote good attendance and to implement a sound system for monitoring student behavior and progress. Schools who keep accurate attendance records are better able to identify truancy problems early. This includes noting tardiness, patterns of tardiness and/or absences or absences around particular days (such as holidays) as these may be red flags that there is a problem. In order for the policy to be effective, students must be made aware of the policy, held accountable for their actions, and the policy must be followed consistently. (Meaning the consequences for truancy, such as detention, in school suspension, counseling, etc. are enforced each and every time a child is truant). When a student is absent, make every effort to contact the parent and try to figure out what might be going on. If time allows, call the parent during the day instead of calling in the evening. In Vygotsky s concept, zone of proximal development he explains that it is the distance between a child s developmental level, which is determined by independent problem solving and the level of potential development as determined through problem solving under adult guidance (Vygotsky, 1978, p174). This concept is highly used in education and in classrooms. For example, I work with a student who is eighteen years of age and has intellectual disabilities. During our morning routine he enjoys working on puzzles. He has a difficult time putting the puzzle together so I help him with clues and or prompt him to the puzzle piece that fits. He moves onto a new puzzle once I no longer have to give him clues or prompts. As I have tracked his progress he has needed less prompt than he did three months ago. The goal of this concept is that, as an adult collaborates with a child to help them move from where they are to where they should be with help by accomplishing the exercise through prompts, clues, modeling, and etc. Bandura has studied self efficacy, which is the extent or strength of one s belief in one s own ability to complete tasks and reach goals. Self efficacy can affect all types of behaviors like academics, social and recreational.
