This document discusses voice production and is divided into three sections: 1) the respiratory system, 2) the vocal apparatus or vocal organs, and 3) vocal resonators. The vocal apparatus is formed by several organs where air is turned into sound, including the vocal folds located in the larynx, which is commonly called the voice box and manipulates pitch and volume. Vocal resonators, including the throat, mouth cavity, and nasal passages, amplify and modify voice sound to produce a person's recognizable voice.
