Generator The voice starts with  AIR  in the lungs. Vibrator The air becomes  SOUND  in the voice box. Resonator The sound becomes a unique  VOICE  in the face. Articulator The sound becomes  WORDS  in the mouth.
Generate = produce The generator is the  LUNGS . The lungs  PRODUCE   air to power the voice. AIR   makes your voice work! The  DIAPHRAGM   is a muscle  that helps the lungs  expand  and  contract .
The vibrator is the  VOCAL FOLDS . Air makes the vocal folds  VIBRATE . The vocal folds are in the  LARYNX , or “voice box.”
The resonator is: PHARYNX NASAL CAVITY SINUSES The vibrator only makes a  BUZZ . Your  VOICE   comes from air vibrating with the resonators.
The articulator is: LIPS TEETH TONGUE The articulator makes your voice into  LANGUAGE .  The articulator is very important when learning a new language!
