Jack London, in his book The call of the wild , portrays, that the strongest, smartest, and the one who
is not shy of compromising their morals in the wilderness, will always prosper. In this novel, Buck, the
protagonist, a Saint Bernard/ scotch shepherd mix, is taken from his home in California, and becomes
a sled dog , and eventually the lead sled dog, in Alaska. Buck is constantly learning about life in the
wild, about the law of club and fang, and how the man with the club is the top, and you do not fight
that. He also learns that the strong survive well when he kills Spitz. In the book, Buck always ate slow

During Reconstruction, the point of it was to integrate former slaves into normal societal life.
Unfortunately, because many African Americans were never fully compensated for slavery, much of
the black population lived in rural poverty in the South and faced discrimination from Black codes and

the American experience. What Homer did was capture the daily lives of Post Civil war African

If there was a disconnection between the East and West, then Lawrence was the bridge of
understanding for the British. It was shown even from the beginning how he could and would be the

Music Therapy Observation
The related service observed during the field experience with students with low incidence disabilities
was music therapy. The observation setting provided the students with ample space and a multitude of
instruments to choose from. The lights would be turned off and a string of small lights would
illuminate the room along with various instruments that lit up. The music therapist was extremely
engaging and encouraged the students to play with the instruments found within the room.
The students were from a low functioning, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) transitions class and
many were non verbal. When it came time to go to music therapy, the students seemed eager. Music

Music therapy helps individuals with disabilities to identify and express his or her emotions as well as
to assist in the development of verbal communication, speech and language skills. The data collection
tool implemented to track the progress of students focused on student participation and independence
levels. These levels were tracked weekly and broken down into 5 sections: Independent, Verbal,
Gestural, Physical, and No Participation. Data was also collected when measuring a student s response
to musical selection and to see if a rhythm was followed in either double or triple meter.
Overall, the music therapy that was observed was truly informative. I have never been exposed to this
form of therapy and I was impressed. Not only does music therapy provide students with disabilities
an outlet for emotional expression, but it also helps to address student IEP goals when it comes to
social skills, speech and language skills, and verbal communication. The students were receptive of
the therapy and seemed to enjoy the atmosphere within the music

In summary, on 09/10/15 at 0527 hours Ofc. Auriemma #224 and I were dispatched to 1325 S. Cicero
Ave. in regards to a Battery Victim. Upon arrival, I met with LBP Security agent Polk and the alleged
offender (Schwartz, Elise L. DOB 06/18/92). Polk related on 09/10/15, Schwartz was terminated from
her job, at which time she punched a co worker in the face with a closed fist. Polk further related
Schwartz was only talking with Moore and once Schwartz struck Moore she broke up he fight. Polk
