Development of Customized Software for Designing Gating System of Compressor ...ijiert bestjournal
An important factor for obtaining defect free pressure die cast parts is good design of the gating system.
Gating system is a path of flow of molten alloy during filling of casting. In this project a systematic
approach has been developed to design gating system for pressure die casting die. This involved
studying current design practices in the industry and translating this into a knowledge base of rules for
machine selection, design of gate, gate runner, runner, and overflows. The entire approach has been
implemented in a window based program using visual C#. It has been successfully tested on industrial
case study. It is perhaps the first attempt of its kind in the area of pressure die casting die design, and is
expected to be of significant interest and value to the industry.
Investigation on SS316, SS440C, and Titanium Alloy Grade-5 used as Single Poi...IJERA Editor
The main objective of this work is to find alternative materials for the cutting tools used in turning operations. The conventional materials like tungsten carbide(WC), titanium carbide(TiC), cubic boron nitride (CBN) and diamond used as cutting tools for turning operations on lathe are expensive. Titanium grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V), SS440C/AISI440C and SS316 are some of the materials which satisfy the necessary requirements for turning metals and polymer materials. These materials are machined as per the standard tool signature of high-speed steel tool (HSS) and are subjected to necessary heat treatment for hardening and then finish ground. The machined tools thus prepared were used to turn mild steel and aluminium workpieces. The cutting forces at play are determined using lathe tool dynamometer and plotted on a MCD (Merchant’s Circle Diagram). The cutting tools are also subjected to tests to determine tool life, wear and work hardening. It is found that the performance and tool life of SS440C is better and cost effective compared to existing tools. Even though Ti-6Al-4V is comparatively costly it could be used for obtaining good surface finish.

Experimental Approach of CNC Drilling Operation for Mild Steel Using Taguchi...IJMER
Drilling is the most common (multi-point) cutting technique targeted for the production of
small-diameter holes. Hole making is among the most important operations in manufacturing, and
drilling is a major and common hole-making process in components. Productivity can be interpreted in
terms of material removal rate in any machining operation. It is, therefore, essential to optimize quality
and productivity simultaneously. Mild steel are soft, ductile, easily machined and is extensive used us a
main engineering material in various industry such as air craft and aerospace industry. The Taguchi
method is applied to formulate the experimental layout to ascertain the Element of impact each
optimum process parameters for CNC drilling machining with drilling operation of mild steel. A total of
27 experimental runs were conducted using an orthogonal array, and the ideal combination of
controllable factor levels was determined for the material removal rate, time of machining and
circularity has been measured. Design optimization for quality was carried out and single to noise ratio
and analysis of variance (ANOVA) were employed using experiment result to confirm effectiveness of
this approach.

Immunizing Image Classifiers Against Localized Adversary Attacksgerogepatton
This paper addresses the vulnerability of deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks
(CNN)s, to adversarial attacks and presents a proactive training technique designed to counter them. We
introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric
input and curriculum learning holds significant promise for mitigating adversarial attacks without necessitating
adversary training.

Cosmetic shop management system project report.pdfKamal Acharya
Buying new cosmetic products is difficult. It can even be scary for those who have sensitive skin and are prone to skin trouble. The information needed to alleviate this problem is on the back of each product, but it's thought to interpret those ingredient lists unless you have a background in chemistry.
Instead of buying and hoping for the best, we can use data science to help us predict which products may be good fits for us. It includes various function programs to do the above mentioned tasks.
Data file handling has been effectively used in the program.
The automated cosmetic shop management system should deal with the automation of general workflow and administration process of the shop. The main processes of the system focus on customer's request where the system is able to search the most appropriate products and deliver it to the customers. It should help the employees to quickly identify the list of cosmetic product that have reached the minimum quantity and also keep a track of expired date for each cosmetic product. It should help the employees to find the rack number in which the product is placed. It is also Faster and more efficient way.

Hierarchical Digital Twin of a Naval Power SystemKerry Sado
A hierarchical digital twin of a Naval DC power system has been developed and experimentally verified. Similar to other state-of-the-art digital twins, this technology creates a digital replica of the physical system executed in real-time or faster, which can modify hardware controls. However, its advantage stems from distributing computational efforts by utilizing a hierarchical structure composed of lower-level digital twin blocks and a higher-level system digital twin. Each digital twin block is associated with a physical subsystem of the hardware and communicates with a singular system digital twin, which creates a system-level response. By extracting information from each level of the hierarchy, power system controls of the hardware were reconfigured autonomously. This hierarchical digital twin development offers several advantages over other digital twins, particularly in the field of naval power systems. The hierarchical structure allows for greater computational efficiency and scalability while the ability to autonomously reconfigure hardware controls offers increased flexibility and responsiveness. The hierarchical decomposition and models utilized were well aligned with the physical twin, as indicated by the maximum deviations between the developed digital twin hierarchy and the hardware.

6. Limit Gauges
Limit gauging is adopted for checking parts produced by
mass production.
It has the advantage that they can be used by unskilled
persons. Instead of measuring actual dimensions, the
conformance of product with tolerance specifications can be
checked by a GO and NO GOgauges.
A GO gauge represents the maximum material condition of
the product (i.e. minimum hole size or maximum shaft size)
and conversely a NO GO represents the minimum material
condition (i.e. maximum hole size or minimum shaft size)
Matoshri College of Engineering and Research Center Nashik
7. Plug Gauge
Plug gauges are the limit gauges used for checking holes and
consist of two cylindrical wear resistant plugs.
The plug made to the lower limit of the hole is known as GO
end and this will enter any hole which is not smaller than the
lower limit allowed.
The plug made to the upper limit of the hole is known as NO
GO end and this will not enter any hole which is smaller than
the upper limit allowed.
Matoshri College of Engineering and Research Center Nashik
9. Ring Gauge
Ring gauges are used for gauging shafts.
They are used in a similar manner to that of GO & NO GO plug
gauges.
A ring gauge consists of a piece of metal in which a hole of
required size is bored.
Matoshri College of Engineering and Research Center Nashik
10. SNAP (or) GAP GAUGES:
A snap gauge usually consists of a plate or frame with a
parallel faced gap of the required dimension.
Snap gauges can be used for both cylindrical as well as non
cylindrical work as compared to ring gauges which are
conveniently used only for cylindrical work.
Double ended snap gauges can be used for sizes ranging from
3 to 100 mm.
For sizes above 100 mm up to 250 mm a single
ended progressive gauge may be used.

12. Taylors Principle
Taylor’s Principle state that, GO Gauge Should Check all
possible dimensions at a time i.e. roundness, location ,size
where as NO-GO Should Check only one dimension at one
time
Matoshri College of Engineering and Research Center Nashik
13. Wear Allowance
The GO gauges only are subjected to wear due to rubbing
against the parts during inspection and hence a provision has
to be made for the wear allowance. Wear allowance is taken
as 10% of gauge tolerance and is allowed between the
tolerance zone of the gauge and the maximum material
condition.
