The art piece that caught my attention was at the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art. The piece is called
The Adoration of the Magi, painted by Girolamo de Carpi. The Holy Family and the Three Magi s are
illustrated in the painting. They seem to be sitting outside on the ground behind a home made of brick.
A sense of space and perception is created because in the distance, behind the people in the painting
there is a beautiful view of a mountain and the sun in the sky far from where the people are. In the
artwork, de Carpi paints clothes on each person besides baby Christ, and the clothing differ in color;
there is red, green, yellow, blue. The colors seemed somewhat bright, in a way indicating that the

theory of crime can most simply be defined as the absence or lack of self control that an individual
possesses, which in turn may lead them to commit unusual and or unlawful deeds. Authored by
educator Michael R. Gottfredson and sociologist Travis Hirschi, A General Theory of Crime (1990)
essentially dumbed down every theory of crime into two words, self control. The widely accepted
book holds that low self control is the main reason that a person initiates all crimes, ranging from

as well as, love seats and chairs for seating. Some tables had puzzles laying for the patient s to do
during an open time in their schedule. The noise level was moderate to low for most of the time. At
times the volume would increase due to the several different disciplines of health care professionals
collaborating together. The patients kept the noise volume down while in the main seating area,
although, at times the pediatric floor would get loud when several patients were surrounded together.
There was not a distinctive smell noted at the facility, but it did not seem to smell like the hand alcohol
as much as the main Rapid City Regional hospital. There was also a fenced outdoor area that allowed
the pediatric patients to spend time playing volleyball and basketball. Staff consisted of two to three

Interpretation and Explanation
In case of BBC, we can observe a positive trend. There has been a significant increase in the ratio.
However in 2007, the company s current liabilities were higher than the current assets.But over the
next two consecutive years 2008 and 2009, the company s assets were enough to pay off the short
term debts, and this is a positive sign. Talking about the current year 2010, the current ratio is below
the benchmark, but the cash reserves are more. we can see a constant change in the values of current
assets in a positive trend for last three years, however, not for the year 2010. Again there has been

George Bernard Shaw was an Irish immigrant in England, ostracised from society because of his
appearance and heritage rather than from judgement of his person, this kept him apart from most
social classes of the time. This feeling of not fitting in may have inspired Shaw to write the play
Pygmalion which premiered in 1914 to comment on the shallow nature of the people of this era and
satirise the class system. To do this Shaw introduced Eliza Doolittle, a class chameleon, to guide the
audience through the corrupt social hierarchy and give light to those who don t have a real place in the
structure, like himself and Eliza who are judged based on appearance and speech. Shaw confronted his
audience with his satirical reflection of reality; speech defines a persons class instead of what they

Having a father with hearing loss I know a little about hearing aids and some of the testing that people
go through. I also knew that volume of the person speaking can be a sign of hearing loss, having a
former employ and friend who are both loud and both have partial hearing loss. I did also know about
the structure of the ear from biology courses and that hearing is measured in decibels. I did know that
children with hearing issues are normal or even gifted but they just may struggle from the lack of
