TPR (Total Physical Response) is a language teaching method that incorporates physical movement and actions. It aims to teach language through physical activities by having students first develop physically and then produce the language. Key principles include focusing on listening in early stages before speaking, allowing responses in students' native language initially, and only giving feedback after students have finished responding. Advantages are that it is fun, easy to prepare, and good for vocabulary learning, while disadvantages include potential overuse and limitations if not combined with other approaches.
