Baby Bust Vs Ambition
The comparisons between the essay Baby Bust and Ambition resulted in numerous similarities, each
with their own point of view. In the Baby Bust essay it is stated that in the struggle to balance work
and family, work consistently wins. People are choosing not to have children, and it is affecting our
economy. Compared to the Ambition essay which generally has a more positive tone regarding this
issue. Both essays have connections in their governmentand societal influence on people, pressure
to start a family without risking your career, and the effects of work and family balance.
The government and society impact our lives greatly, they provide us with information that we
believe to be true, but this is not always the case. In the seventeenth century, Spinoza made the
word ambitious into a rather dislikable quality in an individual. Particularly in women, the word
ambitious was associated with a career woman which implied that she was pitiless, and would give
anything to rise above all. This societal concept was later challenged in the seventies and eighties,
and was transformed into a more acceptable quality (Ambition, P. Klass). Compared to another
epidemic when the government would call attention to population explosion . They were certain
that the planet will soon be overcrowded, which was entirely false. Due to ... Show more content on

There is a pressure that one must have children before they reach a certain age, but several feel it
will jeopardize their careers. In the essay Baby Bust, it is stated that women are putting off
having children and young adults are choosing to have none. Research indicated that 40% of
women in the profession have not started a family due to their careers and 30% of men said the
same (Baby Bust, P. Klass). Similarly, in the essay Ambition, today women are uncertain between
family and career. Women who rise to the top realize it may be too late to have children (Ambition,

Globalization of Korean Popular Culture in Asia
Globalization of Korean Popular Culture in Asia
1. Introduction
Since 1990s, Korean Popular Culture has had a strong influence in Asian countries, including
China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan and Singapore. This new popular cultural phenomenon in Asia
is called the Korean Wave , also known as hallyu in Korean pronunciation, which refers to the surge
of popularity of Korean popular culture abroad, particularly in Asia(Kin 284). The Korean Waveis
first coined in mid 1999 by journalists in Beijing who are surprised by the fast growing popularity
of Korean entertainment and popular Culture in China(Fiaola 1).
Korean Wave certainly brings a big hit to Asian countries, but at the same time, some anti Korean

This, originally, supposed to be the last work of Samsung Entertainment Group and the group

Although it costs only about 2% of average budget of Hollywood films, it was popular throughout
the world. As Diffrient mentioned, Shiri led to a pan Asian phenomenon after its releases in
Japan, Hong Kong and Taiwan(42). Later on, films such as Joint Security Area and My Sassy Girl
also gave a big hit to Asia, which further spread Korean popular culture to other Asian countries. As
a Hollywood reporter said, Korea has transformed itself from an embattled cinematic backwater into
the hottest film market in Asia (Segers 14).
Korean TV dramas also floods the daily programming of free to air TV stations and even become
part of the routine viewing habits of their respective audiences(Beng 2). Starting with What Is

Michael Jordan Vs James
Has anyone ever asked you, who is better Michael Jordan or LeBron James? and you do not know
what to say because, in your eyes, they are of equal talent. The statistical evidence and statements
from players around the league will show who truly the better player is. The common argument
made between the two is that Michael Jordanhas six championship rings and LeBron James only
has two. Jordan never lost in a finals and James has lost four. Jordan never had to play in a game
seven. Those are all valid reason on why Michael Jordan is better than LeBron James but let s take
a deeper look into each player s career to show the things people don t look at to prove Jordan was
the better player.

Jordan never was shy in making it known he wanted the ball when the game is on the line. Even
though LeBron has hit his fair share of game winners or go ahead baskets he has passed up
multiple shots at the end of the game to give a teammate that shot. Maybe he does not have the
same killer instinct or maybe he just does not have the confidence. Either way he shies away
from the ball when the game is on the line. Jordan played a more strategical game while James
was usually the bigger person in his matchups and just put his head down and went to the basket.
Jordan also has played an infamous game while being sick known as the flu game . This game
was a in the middle of the 1997 NBA Finals while the series was tied up at two games. (Zach
Harper) He went out and scored thirty five points helping his team to take a game lead on the
Jazz. (Zach Harper) James on the other hand came out of the first game of the 2014 NBA finals
with a thigh cramp. He left the game early in the fourth quarter but then returned to hit a quick
basket to put the Heat with in two points and five minutes left to play. (Royce Young) After the
basket he immediately called to the bench for help to be carried off the court. The team then
crumbled and lost the game fifteen points. (Royce Young) This game set the tone for the series and

The Life of the Famous English Painter, Sir John Everett...
Sir John Everett Millais was born on June 8, 1829 in Southampton, England to John William
Millais and Emily Marie Millais. Their family had a French background and were wealthy
people in the middle class, partly due to the fact that the mother s family were very successful
saddlers, which are people who were skilled at making saddles (Artmagick 1, Tate 1). When
Millais was little he was considered a child prodigy when it came to painting and his family
moved to London in 1838 to improve contacts with the Royal Academy (Tate 1). At the age of
nine Millais was sent to Sass s Art School, where he was awarded a silver medal at the Society of
Arts. In 1840, Millais attended the Royal Academy as their youngest student ever. At the Royal
Academy, Millais would go on to receive several medals for various paintings and drawings. He
won a silver medal in 1843 for drawing of an antique and a gold medal in 1847 for a painting he
named The Tribe of Benjamin Seizing the Daughter of Shiloh. His first exhibited work at the
Royal Academy was Pizarro Seizing the Inca of Peru in 1846, and it is now held at the Victoria

Essay about The Massacre in El Mozote as Told by Mark Danner
The Massacre at El Mozote as told by Mark Danner takes place El Salvador. El Salvador is the
smallest country in Central America. It shares borders with Guatemala and Honduras. El
Salvador is divided into 14 departments and El Mozote is a village in one of the Departments called
Morazan. According to the author, the Salvadoran Civil War 1979 1992 was a conflict waged by
the Military led Government of El Salvadorand coalition of left leaning militias or guerillas called

Also, the growing presence of the Soviets and Cuba in Nicaragua escalated the cold war and in
order to draw the line the Reagan administration doubled economic aid for El Salvador to a
hundred and forty four million dollars (pg 40). According to Danner, the priorities of American
Policy in El Salvador had become unmistakable (pg 41).Second, The American government was
opposed to dispatching American combat forces to Central America (pg 22) and in order to
prevent another Nicaragua, Congress agreed to reform the Salvadoran Army by financing,
training and arming its troops to fight the FMLN. As Danner notes, the Americans had stepped
forward to fund the war, but were unwilling to fight it . Third, the Monterrosa led Atlacatl led
batallion through American funding descended in El Mozote with the latest M 16 s, M 60
machines guns, 90 millimeter recoilless rifles, and 60 and 81 millimeter mortars (pg 39) and with
a list of names massacred an entire village because communism was cancer (pg 49). The U.S.
government was clearly responsible for the Massacre at El Mozote because without the funding,
supporting, and training of El Salvador troops the war would have been tilted in the guerillas favor
as they had managed to hold the disorganized army in certain areas. In contrast to neighboring
departments El Mozote and its inhabitants of born again Christians did not fit in as guerilla

How Did Tally Change In Uglies By Scott Westerfeld
Imagine living in a world where at the age of sixteen kids turn pretty and their life becomes

the life Tally was suppose to live. The whole concept of the operation was that once someone turns
sixteen life becomes perfect. Tally s trip to the Smoke was suppose to be easy once she arrived at
her destination. In the end, it turned into something Tally could have never imagined. Tally s
personality had changed without the operation. In Scott Westerfelds book Uglies, Tally learns even
the simple things in life can end up being complex.
If Tally would have had the operation, her personality would have changed forever. In the book,

Why I Chose To College
One of the biggest decisions that I have made in my life has been where to go to college. Our
counselors were telling us from the tenth grade to have our colleges picked out and start doing
well on the SATs. I knew even from that age I wanted to go into engineering, I loved to work with
my hands and always wanted to help build new things. I did not know at the time which type of
engineering or which schoolthat I wanted to go into.
I spoke with my parents about my future career and at first they were not supportive of
engineering. They never had any family member that completed engineering so they were
apprehensive on if I would like it. They wanted me to go to the medical field even though I did not
like it as much. I made an agreement with them that if I took college level biology in high school

I have heard stories of my dad who used to work in the middle east when he was my age. He

selection to only a few colleges in Texas. My cousin went to Texas A M and after doing research,
A M was a recognized school for engineering. When submitting my applications, I knew that I had
the grades to make it to A M but still was a little nervous. I finally got my acceptance letter and I
knew the next four years were going to be difficult. When I got to college I had to work hard
because of the entry to a major policy that was initiated at the time, I had to apply for my major
after freshman year to be considered a spot. I eventually got into my degree program as well and
I am more than half way though my petroleum engineering degree. I continue to work hard
because of the decline in the oil and gas industry, they are only looking for the best engineers and I

Portrayal Of Women In The 1950s
How woman started in TV
Women stereotypes through the decades The idea of television began since the 1820s but it was
until 1927 when the 21 year old Philo T. Farnsworth produce the first electronic television picture.
Experimental broadcast began, featuring music, wrestling, and dance; however, it was until the
1950s that TV really became the new form of mass entertainment. Nevertheless, in all the shows
that were produced women was denigrated and producers focused mainly on their physical
appearance and not their intellect capacity. Ward and Harrison stated, TV has depicted females by
focusing on their physical characteristics, sexual appeal, and romantic success, whether they are
housewives, mothers, or objects of desire. Women did not have a choice, they were placed on TV
shows with a certain stereotype needed to be fulfilled by them, and because they wanted to work
they did not deny the job, therefore, they encouraged the stereotype.
In the 1950s, the shows I love Lucy, The Donna Reed Show, and Leave It to the Beaver were all

According to Elasmar, M., Hasegawa, K., Brain, M, on their essay the portrayal of women in the
US prime television, TV has portrayed females in many ways, studies have shown that women
have been underrepresented and stereotyped in TV programs. Women have been living under that
invisible stereotype that has cornered them and does not allow them to grow professionally or
socially. TV has been the master mind behind a stereotype that has left women without the chance
of demanding equality or credibility on shows, a stereotype that will always be mentioned and
enforce if TV shows do not start producing real world programs based on true stories or true

College Essay On Birth Control
There are several types of birth control methods, and many f them are used for a variety of
reasons. Most birth control methods are used to prevent pregnancy. Some females are usually put

are used to prevent the ovaries from releasing an egg. The oral contraceptive has to be taken once
daily. There are also some emergency contraception s that is taken only once, and is known as the

Tone Of Dulce Et Decorum Est
In the poem, Dulce Et Decorum Est , Wilfred Owen details a poignant anecdote of a group of
soldiers in combat. The poem Epitaph on a Soldier , by Cyril Tourneur, takes a different approach
by honoring a soldier that died for his country. The bitter and condemnatory tone in Dulce et
Decorum Est communicates that war does give a soldier glory and honor, since he often dies
painfully and without the chance to make things right. On the other hand, the proud and reverent
tone in Epitaph on a Soldier conveys the idea that dying at war is righteous and proper.
The gory and sharp imagery in Dulce Et Decorum Est contrasts to the idea that dying for one s
country is honorable and proper. As the narrator trudges through the battlefield, the haunting...

As the soldiers trudge across the battlefield, the narrator creates a sense of urgency by interjecting,
GAS! Gas! . This exclamation makes an abrupt transition from the more solemn tone in the
previous stanza. The shock that this gives the reader parallels that of soldiers when they are in the
face of danger. Without time to enjoy the last moments of their lives, they can be subject to a
painful death. The soldier depicted in the poem eventually becomes incapable of doing anything
to save himself and is left with a hanging face, like a devil s sick of sin (Owen 20). Owen s use of
assonance and alliteration forces the reader to hiss the words, allowing him to emphasize his
disgust of war. The soldier has succumbed to the brutality of the poisonous gas and no longer
cares for his life. His last memories are of him being tired of all of the destruction that war has
caused.
In contrast, the peaceful imagery of Epitaph on a Soldier conveys that the soldier died honorably
and for a greater purpose. The soldier lies within his mould , which demonstrates that he was
treated with respect for making an honorable sacrifice of his life for his country. In addition, the
author notes his youthful eye . The eye is the window to one s soul. Since it is youthful, his spirit

The Value Of Philosophy By Bertrand Russell
The essay The Value of Philosophy by Bertrand Russell suggests that many practical people view
philosophy as rather useless, because these people are according to Bertrand Russell operating both
with wrong conceptions about the ends of life and wrong conceptions about what goods philosophy
strives to achieve. According to Russell the value of philosophyis in what it does for the person who
studies it. He makes the point that goods of the mindare as important in life as goods of the body.
He says that the main value of philosophy is that it enlarges one s thoughts, brings one into union
with the not Self , and helps us avoid being caught in narrowness as human beings. His main ideas
are that philosophy is to be studied to enrich our intellects, diminish our dogmatism, and make us
citizens of the universe.
In the essay, Russell presents the study of philosophy as a valuable undertaking, even though it does
not directly help the whole world or increase one s material wealth. The value is to be found for the
student of philosophy herself or himself. This value is primarily found in the intellectual
development that is available for those who undertake the study philosophy. They can escape
narrowness, dogmatism, and narrowness as they become citizens of the world, with enriched
intellectual capacities. Russell concludes with the idea that the mind becomes enlarged through the
study of philosophy.

Nobody cared to how these people felt in our community because of exactly that: it was OUR
community and if they were going to live here they were going to have to accommodate US. 60
years ago they didn t care about these people because they had no reason to. There was no reason
then and there is no reason now, there is no possible benefit for us in bringing these people into
our country; to feed them, to clothe them, to house them, to educate them and then after that to
find jobs for them. That s exactly what s happening right now though; the first two, food and
clothing are taken care of by welfare, housing is taken care of by the huge housing projects you

Education is taken care of by our integrated school system and by bussing poor Black kids into

off the taxpayer for the rest of their lives while they find an equally diverse wife, and keep her

Self-tranquility and Love in the Book A Perfect Day for...
The word, bananafish may seem like one of the many imaginary words of a child, but this was
actually thought up by a character named Seymour Glass; a man with the mind of a non
adolescent, and the body of a grown person. Married and in love, Seymour goes off to fight in
World War II. Upon his return, he suffered from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Therefore
mentally setting him back for the rest of his life. For example, through the course of the story, a
reader may notice how he tends to block off most of the people who care about him. J.D.
Salinger lived with a similar mindset to Seymour; he blocked off, not only his loved ones, but
society overall. At the time of writing, A Perfect Day for Bananafish, he had an interest in Zen
Buddhism. In Zen Buddhism, self tranquility is a very strong factor to practicing the religion.
However, they both may be private, but Seymour Glass has the mindset of a child, due to the war
trauma. Sybil, a child Seymour meets on the beach, is a symbol for Seymour s mind. His childlike
mindset causes him trouble adjusting to the reality of society. The cruel reality for Seymour is
the greed the people in his life have. Therefore the term Banana Fever is a reference to the greed
in society. Just like the Bananafish are greedy for bananas, humans are greedy as well. So, while
everyone is infected with Banana fever. Seymour turns to a serious solution. With this being said,

Food Preferences in the Sow Bug (Porcellio Laevis)
Purpose
The purpose of this experiment is to determine what kind of food the sow bug prefers; decaying
leaves, potatoes, grapes, or sow bug food.
Hypothesis
If a sow bug is placed in a choice tray, and has access to decaying leaves, potatoes, grapes, and

hypothesis was based on research stating that a sow bug s main food source is decaying
vegetation. This is the food they are accustomed to and therefore will select over the other three
options which they rarely if ever would have access to.

sow bugs, but it at least showed that the decaying leaves were what they were attracted to for
whatever reason. This information could be used in a variety of different ways. It would be
helpful in pest control as well as in keeping a sow bug alive. For people who consider sow bugs a
nuisance, the data could reduce the population of sow bugs in certain areas by removing the
decaying leaves. This would make the habitat less inviting and therefore discourage the presence of
sow bugs.
When relating the information to a wider variety of topics, even though the information was not
conclusive, it came to attention that the preference of habitat or food source in sow bugs has a
major effect on the areas in which they live and on the organisms survival. Whether it is because
of food and/or environmental related issues the fact that the sow bugs preferred to reside in and
/or eat the decaying leaves shows that areas with significant quantities of decaying leaves have a
chance of being affected by sow bugs. Because decaying matter is a main food source for sow
bugs it could be assumed that if sow bugs resided in an area containing decaying leaves, they would
also be ingesting them. This would have an impact on that environment. When the sow bugs eat the

Fourth Grade Classroom Analysis
There are several factors that influenced my planning and teaching when creating this lesson
segment for my fourth grade class. There are several factors that I had to consider about my
students by knowing what they are capable of doing and not able to do. In order to consider the
academic development of my students I had to take these factors into consideration: out of the 26
students in the class, seven students are English language learners, seven proficient English
speakers, and six redesignated English Speakers The majority of these students come from Spanish
speaking homes and are reading below grade level. Given the information I have about my students,
my choices of instructional strategies, materials, and the sequences of the learningtasks reflect the
student s backgrounds, interests, and needs in various ways. Taking all of these factors... Show more

The use of various SDAIE strategies will be incorporated, including but not limited to speaking
slowly, providing individual assistance, and scaffolding. The SDAIE strategies are helpful for all
the students in the class because most of the students come from Spanish speaking homes and they
struggle with the language. In order to provide extra support to ELs, I designed the lesson segment
with lots of group work and pair sharing, which is very helpful for ELs, because it allows them to
participate and become engaged with the content versus having to work alone. These
accommodations for learning and assessment tasks provide students with access to the curriculum
and allows the students to demonstrate their learning through a variety of modalities. The lesson
segment was created with multiple learning styles in mind. Thus, much of the material will be
presented orally, visually, and kinesthetically to help all students understand the material in their

ABSTRACT
Weka (Waikato Environment for Knowledge Analysis) is a collection of machine learning
algorithms developed on Java platform by University of Waikato, New Zealand. It is a data
analyzing tool used for data modeling and predictive analysis. It is licensed under GNU General
Public License. As it is implemented in Java it is platform independent. It is a comprehensive
collection of various data preprocessing and modeling techniques. Some of the operations
performed using Weka like classification, clustering etc. are discussed here. It provides
implementation of various algorithms which can be applied on any kind of datasets.
It has wide range of features which perfectly suits for a data mining process. This includes
preprocessing of data to clean and structure the data. Then it is followed by data classification
/clustering by choosing appropriate algorithm. Weka contains four different types of interface.
Each one has its own specifications. Explorer is the simple and basic interface whereas
Experimenter is the most efficient of all these. Using Java Database Connectivity, it provides
access to SQL databases and can be used to process the result obtained from database queries.
This article provides a brief introduction to Weka, list of few algorithms in Weka, how it is used,
some of the merits and demerits of Weka and some of the future implementations that

Mandatory Access Control
In computer security, Discretionary Access Control (DAC) is a type of access control in which
a user has complete control over all the programs it owns and executes, and also determines the
permissions other users have those those files and programs. Because DAC requires permissions to
be assigned to those who need access, DAC is commonly called described as a need to know
access model.
In computer security, discretionary access control (DAC) is a type of access control defined by the
Trusted Computer System Evaluation Criteria[1] as a means of restricting access to objects based
on the identity of subjects and/or groups to which they belong. The controls are discretionary in the
sense that a subject with a certain access permission ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Early hardware based enforcement implementations of MAC such as Honeywell s SCOMP, USAF
SACDIN, NSA Blacker, and Boeing s MLS LAN focused on MLS to protect military oriented
security classification levels with robust enforcement. Originally, the term MAC denoted that the
access controls were not only guaranteed in principle, but in fact. Early security strategies[2]
enabled enforcement guarantees that were dependable in the face of national lab level attacks.
More recently, with the departure from strict hardware based enforcement the expectations of the
term mandatory has become more relaxed, migrating from mandating near absolute enforcement to
acceptance of best effort enforcement. While software based enforcement is more flexible, the
security technology has not yet produced a software based enforcement strategy that can enforce a
policy with near certainty. This is because it has been much more difficult to be certain about what
a software based system will never do compared to that of hardware based system. With software

Slavery Impact On Roman Economy
The impact of Slavery on the Roman Economy
I will split the economic impact of slave labor into the three major sectors often used by modern
economists (National Bureau of Economic Research, n.d.).
1. Primary economies involve raw materials produced by farming, mining, logging, etc.
2. Secondary economy involves manufacturing of goods such as pottery, tools, and sundry goods.
3. Tertiary economy involves trade, and sales of goods.
Less indirect impacts such as the centralization of wealth, and the suppression of offshoot
economies, and the economic impacts on subgroups will also be discussed.
Primary Economy
With the introduction of cheap slave labor many raw materials, particularly in the area of farming
and mining could be produced at significantly ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When most of the workers are slaves with little disposable income, there is little net benefit to the
local economy. An additional factor is that newer and smaller companies usually employ more
people (National Bureau of Economic Research, n.d.). Unfortunately, with the centralization of
wealth and power small farms and businesses were often suppressed or gobbled up by the wealthy.
Summary
The slave economy helped increase the inflow of wealth to Rome filling it s coffers and benefiting
the wealthy nobility which grew up to take advantage of it. It was the strength of this economy,
which helped Rome achieve Greatness. This however, came at a cost since that wealth was
unevenly distributed and used to suppress competition from the less wealthy. In addition, a
significant portion of the population was pushed into poverty resulting in a welfare state. Thus
resulting in a drain on the public coffers and the loss of productivity these people would normally
have provided.
I leave this discussion with a final thought. Rome was full of creative thinkers, architects, and
engineers. If Rome had managed to wean itself off of cheap slave labor, would solutions to rising
labor costs goaded them into the creation of an industrial revolution, 1500 years in advanced to our

Janice Kindred In Town Gallery Analysis
Chattanooga s In Town Gallery was founded in 1974, and it is home to the workings of local
artists. Upon visiting this gallery, I was able to have the unique advantage of conversing with one
of the artists themselves, Janice Kindred. I was able to grasp an understanding of the different
medias and techniques used in the paintings and other artworks. In addition, I was able to develop
an appreciation of the artists works.
The first piece that struck my eye was Vincent, a painting by Janice Kindred herself. Vincent is a
painting done in acrylic. It is a colorful and vivid arrangement of a nature scene featuring trees
standing upon a cliff that foray one s attention. Upon looking at this painting, the sky fascinated me
the most. It was portrayed in bright blues, pinks, and purples. When talking to Kindred, she

Lastly, I saw Chuck Frye s Snowy Day in the Cove. Different from the other paintings, this was

The Effects Of ImmigrantsAgquisition Of English As A...
Sociologists typically assume that immigrants acquisition of English as a second language follows
the opportunities and motivations to become proficient in English, while many linguists argue that
second language acquisition may be governed by maturational constraints, possibly biologically
based, that are tied to the age at onset of language learning. In this article, I use U.S. census data to
investigate the relationship between age at onset of second language learning and levels of English
language proficiency among foreign born adults in the United States. The overarching conclusion is
that proficiency in a second language among adults is strongly related to age at immigration. Part of
that relationship is attributable to social and demo graphic considerations tied to age at entry into a
new country, and part may be attributable to maturational constraints.( Age at immigration
acquisition of language, English as second language, second language proficiency)* When
investigating second language (L2) acquisition among immigrants, sociologists and economists
often rely on exposure or human capital frame works, in which L2 learning is prompted by
opportunities and motivations to become proficient in English. Much of this research shows that
social and demo graphic factors, such as length of residence in the U.S. and educational attainment,
strongly predict levels of proficiency in English among foreign born adults. Linguists, by contrast,
start from the premise that

The Importance of Respect Throughout Society
The Importance of Respect Throughout Society
There are many forces at work that keep organizations, society, and mankind in general
operating. These can range from the moral basis of the said organization or civilization, to
logistic and financial structure, to the motivation and views of the people in it, the policies of the
leader or leaders, as well as their finesse and charisma, all the way to the traditions and customs
that make the organization stand out uniquely and its people proud to be a part of it. Those are
just a few as there are many, many more, probably too numerous to name. But one force and
concept holds most, if not all, of the others together to give any true organization its life and soul.
That concept is respect. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A lot of people believe in respecting someone in high regard if that person is significantly older or
more experienced than them in something. The military has a rank structure used as a means to
identify persons in a position of authority, also used to point out experience within those ranks,
and teaches junior members from the start the importance of respecting all people within that
organization with a superior rank, in order to establish good order and discipline. Ultimately,
respect could be summed up by regarding anyone of high stature, higher authority, or higher age
in special or elevated esteem. To try to pinpoint exactly when respect was first shown by early
people is impossible, as the first signs of it we have seen were in prehistoric times, where there
is no definitive written records. However, it has been shown in evidence that more than fifty
thousand years ago, there were signs of individuals held in high esteem by larger groups of
people. This was usually due to either exceptional hunting or fighting skills, organization of those
groups, perceived medical skills or mystical qualities, or various other social or gathering skills.
Even though there were no standing armies at the time, there were still skilled people looked up to
in order to defend or organize the defense of camps against other humans or even large predators

Rosa Parks Heroes
Everyone has somehow been a hero to someone, in one point of their life, even though they may
not have known at the time or was recognized for it. They may have shown heroic qualities or
stood up for someone, maybe even for people who were too shy to do it themselves. Heroes are
quick thinking, determined people that put the needs of others before themselves, like Rosa Parks
because of her refusal to move seats on the bus. But, heroes don t wear capes or special costumes,
like in movies, they are just typical, ordinary people.

And they probably don t have the abilities to fly. For example, an ordinary person can be a hero
to someone, they don t need to have a cape or any special costume, every day, there are ordinary
people who act like heroes when they courageously defend or protect others (Do all heroes have
super powers?). This shows how you don t need to be able to fly to be a hero or anything like
that. You can just do what you do, and help others that may need your help, in different
situations. There s no right or wrong was to do it! Another example is that, in September 2001,
the twin towers in New York were both knocked down by two different planes, and immediately,
thousands of emergency personnel, including firefighters, police, emergency medical
technicians (EMTs), and paramedics, responded to the scene to help rescue as many people as
possible (Do all heroes have super powers?). This shows that these people weren t dressed in
capes or anything, they were there to save the people in the towers. There are many more
examples of people from everyday life, other than this one, that show that everyone can be heroes
in some way or another, and we see examples of these people everyday! Capes, special costumes,
or even having the capabilities to fly, are all misunderstandings of what true heroes are, and now
you know that you don t need those things to be a hero, you can come as you

Pantofola D Oro Essay
History
Pantofola d Oro is a company based in Italy that manufactures soccer boots, leisure footwear, as
well as clothing. The company began in a small family workshop in Ascoli Piceno industrial
district, Italy in the year 1886. At the time, it was just a cobbler s shop, which was founded by
Emidio Lazzarini when he worked as a shoemaker; as he put into practice the teachings given to
him by not only his father but also his grandfather. However, the company had not begun
producing handcrafted elite soccer boots until the 1950s when Emidio took over the business,
which was run by his father. After the day s work was done, Emilio would devote his time to

The Americans seem to be more familiar with brands like Nike, Reebok, Adidas, among others.
This will make it a bit difficult to penetrate the market as much as those other big footwear
producing companies have.
Furthermore, Pantofola d Oro s products cannot be found in U.S stores despite their presence all
over Europe. For the few who already recognize the brand and want to purchase it, they can only
get it from the pro direct soccer website. However, very few people in the U.S. know about this
and as a result, Pantofola d Oro does not take up any significant size of the U.S. soccer footwear
market share.
Due to the high quality and incorporation of NFC technology in Pantofola d Oro s products, they
cost more than those of competitors. They are also set to be placed in the big departmental stores
only, such as Nordstrom and Barneys. This may reduce their potential to be recognized and thus
bought by many people.

So in such circumstances, we must have some procedures for tackling illegal content on the Internet
and some mechanisms for allowing end user control of what is accessed on the Internet

It is argued that the genesis of the Internet was such that it embraced and fostered a new spirit of
freedom, openness and experimentation and that these values must remain an integral feature of
the Internet and if any form of regulation is introduced then the whole essence of the internet will
be lost and people would not be able to access the vast resources of information that it has to offer
(Darlington). The opponents of regulation also argue that any form of internet regulation is
against the individual s rights to freedom of expression and the concept of net neutrality because
in such a scenario a person may not be able to choose the content he wants to view. However, it
should be clearly understood that society is greater than a single person and if such rights of
freedom cause harm to the values of the society as a whole, then it is perhaps the responsibility of
the government to intervene and restrict the rights given to every individual in order to maintain
those values.

Yoga Based Interventions For Depression And Anxiety Disorders
Abstract
Background: Many people suffer from depression and anxiety disorders across the lifespan. A lot of
research has been done on depression and stress management but not enough on the impact of the
combination of occupational therapy services and yoga. Occupational therapists are trained and
skilled to help those diagnosed with mental disorders. In addition to traditional Occupational
Therapy practices, CAMs (complimentary alternative medicines) such as yoga with emphasis on
mindfulness based stress reduction can help those suffering recover more quickly.
Purpose: The aim of my research is to see Occupational Therapy interventions and Yoga based
interventions effectiveness in young adults suffering with depression and anxiety disorders.
Methods: 21 day meditation, pre test and post test questionnaire, interviews with participants,
previous research done on topic
Results: I hope to discover that yoga based interventions along with occupational therapy
interventions show a tremendous improvement in the feelings and attitudes of the participants
suffering with depression and anxiety disorders.
Introduction
Yoga based interventions fall under a very broad topic of complementary and alternative medicine.
The United States National Library of Medicine defines CAMs as the term for medical products
and practices that are not part of standard care. Standard care is what medical doctors, doctors of

The last time a global survey for homelessness was attempted by the United Nations in 2005, an
estimated 100 million people were homeless worldwide. As many as 1.6 billion people lacked
adequate housing. [1] In the United States, on a single night in January 2015, 564,708 people
were experiencing homelessness meaning they were sleeping outside or in an emergency shelter
or transitional housing program. [2] In 2013, the Slum population in India went up from 52

the main cause for homelessness could be contributed to the cost of affordable housing. Another
example that could be considered could be of people living in disaster prone areas where people
lose their houses overnight. In such scenarios, 3D printing could be a viable solution where houses
could be printed in a couple of days as compared to traditional construction methods where people
need to seek out emergency shelters till their houses are built. Also, 3D printing a house gives

The plot of The Awakening by Mary Chopin shows Mrs. Pontellier s journey to self expression

People will go to great lengths to be close to the stars of Hollywood. It drives some people insane.
That drive for fame and power leaves a lasting impression on the landscape and on lives for decades.

who comes as their leader simply because he blew the conch. This suggests that humans select their
leaders based on who brought them together. Jack then comes to the assembly, already with the
leadership role of head of the choir, and assumes he should be the leader of the entire group of
boys. After a vote for leader between Ralph and Jack, Ralph is elected. No one ever even
considers Piggy to be a candidate, even though he had the idea for an assembly and was the most
passionate about setting up order on the island.
Before discussing the dynamics between these characters, it must be understood what what shaped
their personalities in the first place. Trying situations force people to show their true selves.

What Is The Most Memorable Moment In A Movie
Lights, Curtain, Action
The lights dimmed, the curtain lifted, and the actors came out. My excitement was growing, first
starting in my throat, then working its way to my stomach. The sound of the instruments filled the
theater as the actors start to sing in loud clear voices. This was how my most memorable moment
in my childhood started, at the Times Union Center Theater in the last week of February.
My interest in theater started when I was a little girl. In particular, it was a movie that started this
love. I can still remember the day my father brought home that movie, The Phantom of the Opera. It
was the first musical I watched that was not Disney. After watching it, I felt overwhelmed with all
the emotions expressed in the movie. Of course, being as young as I was then, I was unable to quite
understand the meaning in the movie but that was not a problem. I was more interested in the
singing and dancing that was shown throughout the movie. It was this musical that influenced me to
pursue a career in theater and movies.
Even though I loved the musical so much I never did see it live. My family could not afford to
buy tickets and very rarely did the show come to my hometown. That is until I was 17 when they
came to the Times Union Center in Jacksonville. My sister and I were thrilled, but instantly our
excitement died when we remembered that we do not have the money for tickets. The both of us
decided to start coming up with ways to earn money, such as extra chores and odd jobs around the
neighborhood. Slowly but surely we began to earn money.
By the end of December, we were still short a couple hundred bucks and seats were selling out
quickly. It was Christmas Day when the most wonderful thing happened. My family was opening
up presents and it was my turn to open mines. My father handed me this large present and inside
was a slightly smaller present and inside that was an even smaller present which inside contained
an envelope. Inside of that envelope was a Christmas card with the inside saying Soak up this
moment! Clipped to the side of the card was three tickets to The Phantom of the Opera. I was
overjoyed, I let out a little squeal and could not stop thanking my parents. Finally, I can see the

The Reflection Of Living With Jesus Christ In The World
While living and serving in a Chiang Mai prison in Thailand, I met with a radical Muslim man
named, Ali, who was serving a life sentence in the Thai prison because, he murdered a Thai woman.
As growing up in Pakistan, it is very challenging to love those who persecute and hate you. Initially,
he didn t want to do anything with Christianity. But after meeting him for at least six months, with
difficult conversations, he decided to accept JesusChrist as his personal savior. From that point on,
I had to leave all my hard feelings behind and accept him as a part of the body of Christ and take
care of him. Honestly, I had to listen him cry and suffer in the Thai prison. But in the midst of all
that suffering, I had to stand right beside him, fight for his basic rights in the Thai judicial system,
communicate with the Pakistani embassy in Bangkok, Thailand, and wrap my arms around him.
Today, we will learn together from the passage 1 Corinthians 12:12 27 in which Paul uses a
metaphor of a body to describe diversity and unity in the body of Christ and its functions and how
do we need to take care of those who are facing extreme persecution.
Slide 2
Using metaphors were and still are pretty common in the Middle Eastern culture to obtain deeper
understanding of a phenomenon. In the Old Testament, the term body mostly refers to the physical
body. But here Paul uses the term body in a metaphorical way to help its readers to understand the
intertwine relationship in the universal

Every floor harbors a number of ICU rooms. These are laid out so that the bed is in the center of
the room allowing staff to treat a patient from all sides. In the event that a patient needs to be
moved from an ICU room to surgery, the ceiling boom in an ICU room has an equipment arm
and portable trolley with battery that detaches and can go with the patient, saving critical
preparation for transport time. All of these features are built into each room to allow the rooms
to function as needs develop. Unlike most hospitals, every floor here is dedicated to a particular
specialty and all of the support equipment and supplies for those patients is located on the very
same floor. Crisscrossing corridors in the nurse s area make access to the supplies equal distance
from any of the patient rooms. Finally, every floor has its own satellite pharmacy, dialysis storage,
respiratory therapy workrooms, and resident doctor sleep rooms, making every floor nearly self
sufficient. The latest wireless technology has been installed so that the hospital is paperless, that is,
it uses advanced communication technologies that provide both medical professionals and patient s

Belly Flop Research Paper
Our results show that doing a belly flop would cause the most harm to a person who is diving
into a pool of water. This is based off of the greater speed that a person belly flops into the water
(8.3 m/s2), which is more than both head first diving (7.73 m/s2) and rotating into the water (7.34
m/s2). Also, the amount of forcethat the water exerts on the body while doing a belly flop (1079
N) is greater than the amount of force the water exerts on the body while head first diving
(1004.95 N) and rotating into the water (954.2 N). It takes approximately 3,300 N to crack bones,

Dealing With Absence By Emily Bronte And Thomas Hardy
A lot of times in life you feel some presence of absence. Now what the absence is can vary
greatly. You can feel this missing element in a lot of things in life. It can be from a loved one all
the way to a hobby. Obviously when you feel the absence, you have to find some way to deal
with it. That is exactly what Emily Bronte and Thomas Hardy do in their poems. In Emily
Bronte s poem the speaker is dealing with the loss of a loved one. The speaker is trying to make
some decisions on what to do and her way is one way to look at things. In Thomas Hardy s first
poem he has another unique way of dealing with this absence. His isn t in the same way though
because it isn t about the same thing. Then in his second poem there is yet another take on
absence, it has a very harsh tone to it and is an extremely dark poem. Dealing with absence can be
approached in many different ways. In the poems Remembrance by Emily Bronte, The Darkling

This optical amplification is started from some emission but it is not exposed yet until Albert
Einstein proposed in 1916. After that, the things became more seriously after 1954 when Townes

This is because maybe due to this erbium doped fiber amplifiers can amplify signals at the low
loss. This type also is suitable to be use in long haul and have low noise. Besides that, it also
have wide spectral band amplification and it is manly useful for WDM application and it s have
relative flat gain ( 20 dB). In contrast, there are some disadvantage using this type which is
includes it is not easily integrated with other devices because it is relatively large device (km
length of fiber). Diagram 3 : A Erbium doped fiber Amplifier
The Optical gain in Optical amplifier can be defined as the ratio of the optical signal power at the
input to the optical signal power at the output. This can de also shown by the formula ;,
G = Pin Pout
The gain is basically measured in dB and exist in the range of the 10 until 30 dB.
Noise figure is the measure of the signal to noise ratio between input and output of the
component. In other words, Noise Figure (NF) . It is a measure of how much a devices such as
amplifier degrades the signal to noise ratio (SNR). During amplification process, noise exist, so
the output signal is always noisier from input signal. So, in order to get better performance of
optical amplifier, Noise figure should be kept as low as possible.

The Importance Of Pyrite Recovery From Gangue
Gangue is one of the largest accumulating solid, and is particularly rich in pyrite. Therefore, pyrite
recovery from gangue is not only significant for the environmental protection, but also for the
development and production of chemicals. The dry separation methods, leading to the decreased
waste and cost effectiveness, have received significant attention of many scholars. In this study, the
vibration energywas introduced to promote the separation of particles. The interactions and effect of
comparison of the gas velocity, vibration intensity, and bed height were investigated. Moreover, the
sulfur migration for pyriterecovery from the gangue has been studied by several analytical
techniques. The results show that the segregation efficiency was directly related to the interaction
between various factors. After the separation, the sulfur content of the concentrates of 6+3, 3+1,
and 1+0.5 mm was 37.94, 35.43, and 30.61%, respectively. The sulfur segregation s standard
deviation (SSSD) was 0.70, achieving a satisfactory separation efficiency, indicating that pyrite was
the foremost material in the concentrate, and S and Fe migrated in the form of pyrite during the
separation process, indicating that pyrite could be effectively enriched by the dry method of
vibration fluidized bed after the separation.

The World Is Too Much With Us By William Woodsworth
The World is too Much with Us by William Woodsworth (999) On a first reading, this poem
seems to lament man s withdrawal from nature. In it, the speaker declares that we are out of tune,
unmoved by the sea and winds. He goes on to say that he would rather be a Pagan, as he wishes to
be part of a culture better connected with the natural world. He views the current detachment as a
result of modern day1 man s materialism, referring to getting and spending and stating little we see
in Naturethat is ours . The latter may imply that if we cannot own something we see no need to pay
attention to it. Analysis of form reveals that the poem is a Petrarchan sonnet that utilizes hyperbole,

Non Traditional Vs Traditional Learners
Non Traditional vs Traditional Learners A Look at Statistics and Outcomes
Historically, the quintessential college student leaves home at the age of 18 to live on a college
campus for four years. These students have long been labeled as Traditional college students with
the learning category outliers such as Adult, Online, Part Time, and those working Full Time while
earning a degree being considered Non Traditional and a minority amongst students. However, the
learning demographic across the United States is shifting, and our Traditional learners have become
a minority. According to the Department of Education, in 2011 there were 17.6 million

Students with one or fewer characteristics are minimally traditional, two to three characteristics are
moderately traditional, and having four or more characteristics define highly Non Traditional
students. (Hoyt, Howell, Young Wygant 2010)
For highly Non Traditional learners there are several factors that can negatively impact their lives.
Lack of time, including child rearing and full time work that limits time and opportunity is often
cited as a major constraint. Additionally, highly Non Traditional learners are significantly less
active in campus activities and are less involved in the the general college experience. Hoyt,
Howell, Young Wygant s 2010 study found that Non Traditional students were Less likely than
traditional students to participate in other academically related activities such as organized off
campus study opportunities (10% versus 17% ) and forums, seminars, galleries, and recitals related
to their major (49% versus 56%).
Student involvement on campus is viewed by higher education institutions as an important metric
in predicting academic achievement. While GPA does not assess specific learning outcomes, it
can be used as a factor to assess academic success. A study at Purdue Universityfound that students
who are involved in student organizations having statistically higher GPAs than the general student
body (Hawkins 2010). However, this trend does not fit the findings for Non Traditional

  • 12. Tone Of Dulce Et Decorum Est In the poem, Dulce Et Decorum Est , Wilfred Owen details a poignant anecdote of a group of soldiers in combat. The poem Epitaph on a Soldier , by Cyril Tourneur, takes a different approach by honoring a soldier that died for his country. The bitter and condemnatory tone in Dulce et Decorum Est communicates that war does give a soldier glory and honor, since he often dies painfully and without the chance to make things right. On the other hand, the proud and reverent tone in Epitaph on a Soldier conveys the idea that dying at war is righteous and proper. The gory and sharp imagery in Dulce Et Decorum Est contrasts to the idea that dying for one s country is honorable and proper. As the narrator trudges through the battlefield, the haunting... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As the soldiers trudge across the battlefield, the narrator creates a sense of urgency by interjecting, GAS! Gas! . This exclamation makes an abrupt transition from the more solemn tone in the previous stanza. The shock that this gives the reader parallels that of soldiers when they are in the face of danger. Without time to enjoy the last moments of their lives, they can be subject to a painful death. The soldier depicted in the poem eventually becomes incapable of doing anything to save himself and is left with a hanging face, like a devil s sick of sin (Owen 20). Owen s use of assonance and alliteration forces the reader to hiss the words, allowing him to emphasize his disgust of war. The soldier has succumbed to the brutality of the poisonous gas and no longer cares for his life. His last memories are of him being tired of all of the destruction that war has caused. In contrast, the peaceful imagery of Epitaph on a Soldier conveys that the soldier died honorably and for a greater purpose. The soldier lies within his mould , which demonstrates that he was treated with respect for making an honorable sacrifice of his life for his country. In addition, the author notes his youthful eye . • 14. The Value Of Philosophy By Bertrand Russell The essay The Value of Philosophy by Bertrand Russell suggests that many practical people view philosophy as rather useless, because these people are according to Bertrand Russell operating both with wrong conceptions about the ends of life and wrong conceptions about what goods philosophy strives to achieve. According to Russell the value of philosophyis in what it does for the person who studies it. He makes the point that goods of the mindare as important in life as goods of the body. He says that the main value of philosophy is that it enlarges one s thoughts, brings one into union with the not Self , and helps us avoid being caught in narrowness as human beings. His main ideas are that philosophy is to be studied to enrich our intellects, diminish our dogmatism, and make us citizens of the universe. In the essay, Russell presents the study of philosophy as a valuable undertaking, even though it does not directly help the whole world or increase one s material wealth. The value is to be found for the student of philosophy herself or himself. This value is primarily found in the intellectual development that is available for those who undertake the study philosophy. They can escape narrowness, dogmatism, and narrowness as they become citizens of the world, with enriched intellectual capacities. Russell concludes with the idea that the mind becomes enlarged through the study of philosophy. [PLEASE NOTE!: I have not put much commentary on the quotes here, but ... Hypothesis If a sow bug is placed in a choice tray, and has access to decaying leaves, potatoes, grapes, and sow bug food, the sow bug will choose the decaying leaves over its other options. This hypothesis was based on research stating that a sow bug s main food source is decaying vegetation. This information could be used in a variety of different ways. It would be helpful in pest control as well as in keeping a sow bug alive. An additional factor is that newer and smaller companies usually employ more people (National Bureau of Economic Research, n.d.). Unfortunately, with the centralization of wealth and power small farms and businesses were often suppressed or gobbled up by the wealthy. Summary The slave economy helped increase the inflow of wealth to Rome filling it s coffers and benefiting the wealthy nobility which grew up to take advantage of it. It was the strength of this economy, which helped Rome achieve Greatness. This however, came at a cost since that wealth was unevenly distributed and used to suppress competition from the less wealthy. In addition, a significant portion of the population was pushed into poverty resulting in a welfare state. Thus resulting in a drain on the public coffers and the loss of productivity these people would normally have provided. I leave this discussion with a final thought. Sociologists typically assume that immigrants acquisition of English as a second language follows the opportunities and motivations to become proficient in English, while many linguists argue that second language acquisition may be governed by maturational constraints, possibly biologically based, that are tied to the age at onset of language learning. In this article, I use U.S. census data to investigate the relationship between age at onset of second language learning and levels of English language proficiency among foreign born adults in the United States. The overarching conclusion is that proficiency in a second language among adults is strongly related to age at immigration. Part of that relationship is attributable to social and demo graphic considerations tied to age at entry into a new country, and part may be attributable to maturational constraints.( Age at immigration acquisition of language, English as second language, second language proficiency)* When investigating second language (L2) acquisition among immigrants, sociologists and economists often rely on exposure or human capital frame works, in which L2 learning is prompted by opportunities and motivations to become proficient in English. The last time a global survey for homelessness was attempted by the United Nations in 2005, an estimated 100 million people were homeless worldwide. As many as 1.6 billion people lacked adequate housing. [1] In the United States, on a single night in January 2015, 564,708 people were experiencing homelessness meaning they were sleeping outside or in an emergency shelter or transitional housing program. [2] In 2013, the Slum population in India went up from 52 million to 65 million and it has been predicted to rise to 104 million. [3] Looking at the statistics, the main cause for homelessness could be contributed to the cost of affordable housing. Another example that could be considered could be of people living in disaster prone areas where people lose their houses overnight. In such scenarios, 3D printing could be a viable solution where houses could be printed in a couple of days as compared to traditional construction methods where people need to seek out emergency shelters till their houses are built. Also, 3D printing a house gives Architects ability to design and build structures which are complex ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Judging from the way Mr. Pontellier carries himself and how he brands himself, he likes to follow tradition and does not like to stand out. Demonstrated from this passage from the novel, Mr. Pontellier had been a rather courteous husband so long as he met certain tacit submissiveness in his wife. But her new and unexpected line of conduct completely bewildered him. Then her absolute disregard for her duties as a wife angered him, even with his background, he could have Edna, not do her chores, but would rather stay humble and have her do the work like the rest of the ladies mentioned in the novel (Chopin 108). Focusing back on Edna s hobbies, she starts to focus on painting, which gives her an outlet of self expression. The novel states that while she was painting, she was working with great energy and interest, without accomplishing anything, however, which satisfied her even in the smallest degree (Chopin 109). Mrs. Pontellier starts to be more openly self indulgent by this part of the novel and she does not care if people disagree with the way that she handles herself, which testifies that through contrast in habitual behavior, Mrs. Pontellier is showing ... They all want to assert themselves as leader, and because they cannot, clashes between all three characters can be seen instantly. At the beginning of the novel, Ralph and Piggy seem to be the only people on the island. Ralph does not show much interest in Piggy, but Piggy sees it as imperative that they get to know each other and find out if anyone else is on the island. Right away, Piggy s brains and common sense are exhibited. Ralph passively blows a conch they found, not with a meeting in mind but because it sounds cool. Even though Piggy had the idea of meeting, Ralph is automatically seen by everyone who comes as their leader simply because he blew the conch. This suggests that humans select their leaders based on who brought them together. Jack then comes to the assembly, already with the leadership role of head of the choir, and assumes he should be the leader of the entire group of boys. After a vote for leader between Ralph and Jack, Ralph is elected. No one ever even considers Piggy to be a candidate, even though he had the idea for an assembly and was the most passionate about setting up order on the island. My excitement was growing, first starting in my throat, then working its way to my stomach. The sound of the instruments filled the theater as the actors start to sing in loud clear voices. This was how my most memorable moment in my childhood started, at the Times Union Center Theater in the last week of February. My interest in theater started when I was a little girl. In particular, it was a movie that started this love. I can still remember the day my father brought home that movie, The Phantom of the Opera. It was the first musical I watched that was not Disney. After watching it, I felt overwhelmed with all the emotions expressed in the movie. Of course, being as young as I was then, I was unable to quite understand the meaning in the movie but that was not a problem. I was more interested in the singing and dancing that was shown throughout the movie. It was this musical that influenced me to pursue a career in theater and movies. Even though I loved the musical so much I never did see it live. My family could not afford to buy tickets and very rarely did the show come to my hometown. That is until I was 17 when they came to the Times Union Center in Jacksonville. My sister and I were thrilled, but instantly our excitement died when we remembered that we do not have the money for tickets. The both of us decided to start coming up with ways to earn money, such as extra chores and odd jobs around the neighborhood. Slowly but surely we began to earn money. By the end of December, we were still short a couple hundred bucks and seats were selling out quickly. It was Christmas Day when the most wonderful thing happened. My family was opening up presents and it was my turn to open mines. My father handed me this large present and inside was a slightly smaller present and inside that was an even smaller present which inside contained an envelope. Inside of that envelope was a Christmas card with the inside saying Soak up this moment! Clipped to the side of the card was three tickets to The Phantom of the Opera. The Reflection Of Living With Jesus Christ In The World While living and serving in a Chiang Mai prison in Thailand, I met with a radical Muslim man named, Ali, who was serving a life sentence in the Thai prison because, he murdered a Thai woman. As growing up in Pakistan, it is very challenging to love those who persecute and hate you. Initially, he didn t want to do anything with Christianity. But after meeting him for at least six months, with difficult conversations, he decided to accept JesusChrist as his personal savior. From that point on, I had to leave all my hard feelings behind and accept him as a part of the body of Christ and take care of him. Honestly, I had to listen him cry and suffer in the Thai prison. But in the midst of all that suffering, I had to stand right beside him, fight for his basic rights in the Thai judicial system, communicate with the Pakistani embassy in Bangkok, Thailand, and wrap my arms around him. Today, we will learn together from the passage 1 Corinthians 12:12 27 in which Paul uses a metaphor of a body to describe diversity and unity in the body of Christ and its functions and how do we need to take care of those who are facing extreme persecution. Therefore, pyrite recovery from gangue is not only significant for the environmental protection, but also for the development and production of chemicals. The dry separation methods, leading to the decreased waste and cost effectiveness, have received significant attention of many scholars. In this study, the vibration energywas introduced to promote the separation of particles. The interactions and effect of comparison of the gas velocity, vibration intensity, and bed height were investigated. Moreover, the sulfur migration for pyriterecovery from the gangue has been studied by several analytical techniques. The results show that the segregation efficiency was directly related to the interaction between various factors. After the separation, the sulfur content of the concentrates of 6+3, 3+1, and 1+0.5 mm was 37.94, 35.43, and 30.61%, respectively. The sulfur segregation s standard deviation (SSSD) was 0.70, achieving a satisfactory separation efficiency, indicating that pyrite was the foremost material in the concentrate, and S and Fe migrated in the form of pyrite during the separation process, indicating that pyrite could be effectively enriched by the dry method of vibration fluidized bed after the separation.
