CSS L15 - CRIMPING ETHERNET CABLE AND RJ45
At the end of this learning module the student are able to:
○Crimp Ethernet wire and RJ-45 to establish computer network connection.
○Understand the differences straight through and crossover type of network cabling.
○Learn the T568A and T568B pin out of twisted pair wiring.
Ethernet cabling has been the standard in networking installation for years. It is the fastest way of connecting PC to a peer or to your router or a central switch. This section of the module will bring you back to the procedures in creating an Ethernet cable specifically straight-through and cross-over.
This will help you to know how to do an Ethernet Cable which is the Straight-Through and The Cross-over Ethernet Cable. It also tackle the materials, colors and the step by step process.

The presentation was based on findings from PISA 2022 results and the webinar helped launch the PISA in Focus ‘Managing screen time: How to protect and equip students against distraction’ https://www.oecd-ilibrary.org/education/managing-screen-time_7c225af4-en and the OECD Education Policy Perspective ‘Students, digital devices and success’ can be found here - https://oe.cd/il/5yV
Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

17. Straight-Through
Cable Fabrication
Proper Steps and Procedures
STEP 1
Using a Crimping Tool, trim the end of the cable you’re
terminating, to ensure that the ends of the conducting
wires are even.
18. Straight-Through
Cable Fabrication
Proper Steps and Procedures
STEP 2
Strip off approximately 1 inch of the cable’s jacket, using
a modular crimping tool or a UTP cable stripper. Be
careful not to damage the inner conducting wires.
19. Straight-Through
Cable Fabrication
Proper Steps and Procedures
STEP 3
Separate the 4 twisted wire pairs from each other, and then unwind
each pair, so that you end up with 8 individual wires. Flatten the
wires out as much as possible, since they’ll need to be very straight
for proper insertion into the connector.
20. Straight-Through
Cable Fabrication
Proper Steps and Procedures
STEP 4
Moving from left to right, arrange the wires in a flat, side-by-side
ribbon formation. The color order is important to do this correctly.
22. Straight-Through
Cable Fabrication
Proper Steps and Procedures
STEP 6
Hold the RJ45 connector so that its pins are facing away
from you and the plug-clip side is facing down, carefully
insert the wires into the connector. Each wire fits into a
slot in the RJ45 connector.
24. Straight-Through
Cable Fabrication
Proper Steps and Procedures
STEP 8
Insert the prepared connector/cable assembly into the RJ45 slot in
your crimping tool. Firmly squeeze the crimper’s handles together
until you can’t go any further. Release the handles and repeat this
step to ensure a proper crimp.
25. Straight-Through
Cable Fabrication
Proper Steps and Procedures
STEP 9
After completing the fabrication on the first end of the
cable, repeat all steps on the opposite end of the cable
using the other wire color order.

STRAIGHT-THROUGH ETHERNET CABLE
• Each group will be provided with an Ethernet Unshielded Twisted
Pair (UTP) Cable, RJ45 Connector and Crimping tool.
• Each member of every group will perform specific steps in
Fabricating a Straight-Through Cable by pair.
• While one group member is performing, the other group
members are allowed to guide their groupmate.
• Each group should let the person finish the steps assigned to
him/her before the other member take-over for the next steps.
• When the fabrication is done, submit your output.
• Your outputs will be checked using a LAN tester.
