2. Islamophobi Understanding Anti-Muslim Sentiment In The West
Following the tragic events that took place on September 11, 2001 (most commonly: 9/11 ), the FBI
reported an increase in hate crimes, nearly twenty times more than the usual, against Muslim
Americans (Khan Ecklund, 2012). After 9/11, anti Islamic hate crimes against Muslims went from
being the second least reported hate crime of religious bias incidents to being the second highest
reported ( Statistics ). This drastic increase was due to Muslims being subject to unjust discrimination
in the United States caused by negative stereotypes, prejudice and misconceptions which effectively
became more widespread after September 11, 2001. Before 9/11, Muslims were already being
stereotyped by the rising media portrayals as being violent and intolerant ... Show more content on

3. Roles Of Shivaji Maharaj
INTRODUCTION

Shivaji Maharaj. How this brave soul gave up his life while recapturing the Kondana fort.
SHIVAJI MAHARAJ
Shivaji was a warrior king, born on 10th April 1627 to Jijabai and Shahji at the Shivneri Fort. Shivaji
Maharaj was named after Lord Shiva.
Shivaji estlablished a competent and progressive civil rule with the help of a disciplined military and
well structured administrative organization. He created an independent Maratha Kingdom with Raigad
as its capital. He became the crowned king Chhatrapati of the Maratha Kingdom in 1674. Shivaji

important political movements right from the establishment of Swarajya. Tanaji was also known as

TANAJI S ROLE IN SWARAJYA
The Maratha warrior Shivaji was an able administrator who established a government that included
modern concepts such as cabinet, foreign affairs and internal intelligence. Shivaji was well known for
his benevolent attitude towards his subjects. He believed that there was a close bond between the state
and its citizens. This idea led to the foundation of Swarajya which aimed at establishing a free and
independent homeland, and in this goal he was supported by high level of loyalty, respect and
commitment he received from his companion Tanaji Malusare.
Tanaji was given the responsibility of controlling the delinquent tribes in the Konkan area adjoining
Rajgad fort on the Kingdom. He settled in the Umarthe village in the region for this purpose. He

4. Maine Mall Observation
On Saturday, November 14th of 2015 I visited the Maine Mall from around 2:50 pm to 4:30 pm to
make observations of adolescents from another culture. I chose to visit the Maine Mall because it is a
place where adolescents frequently visit to socialize with friends in a public place. The place that
seemed most obvious to observe was clearly the food court. The food court gathers people of all
ethnicities and ages to sit down and be themselves while enjoying a meal. I found a comfortable table
on the outskirts of the food court where I was able to be the eyes and ears of the whole place. This
place was essential because I had perfect view of three different groups of teenagers sitting in groups
of three or four.
As I sat at a table by myself near ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This group of teenagers were clearly obsessed with themselves and constantly worried about other s
views towards them. The group consisted of four boys and four girls who were obviously interested in
each other romantically and sexually. The girls were frequently staring up at me because they
immediately noticed that I was looking at them and taking notes. The girls would look up at me and
then fix their hair and turn to one of the other girl s and make a comment. This is an example of
egocentrism because the girls thought very highly of themselves and what others think of them. This
can be very common amongst teenagers who are anxious, deal with depression or are put into new
situation (Berger, 2014, p.430). Watching the group of eight teenagers interact with each other, it was
clear that they were trying to figure out who they are in life and what they like in a person. Erikson s
term for the 5th stage of development describes the feeling of not understanding who they are as a
teenager. Erikson called this stage the identity versus role confusion stage in which teenagers ask
themselves who they are as a person and what they mean in life (Berger, 2014, p. 459). The best part
about observing this group of teenagers was when one of the girls spotted me observing them and she
decided to comment towards me. I was looking at the group of girls and commented to a friend

5. Symptoms And Treatment Of Adolescent Disorders
Psychiatry has utilized lithium to treat affective disorders since the late 1940s; however, roughly 30
years passed until its effect on the thyroid gland was observed.1 Lithium induced hypothyroidism is a
common consequence of lithium usage2 with an estimated prevalence rate between 6 and 52%.3
However, lithium induced hyperthyroidism (LIH) is rare and infrequently reported in literature,1,2,4,5
with an incidence of 0.1%.5, 6 LIH usually occurs with long term lithium treatment and typically
presents as a painless and transient thyroiditis with proposed causality directed towards lithium s toxic
effect on the thyroid or a diffuse/toxic multinodular goiter.1, 5, 7 Autoimmunity and autoantibody
production may be another culprit in the development of LIH, which has been demonstrated in 20% of
lithium treated patients compared to 7.5% untreated.5, 8 Lithium and antipsychotics are often
prescribed concomitantly in clinical practice. While LIH is a rare occurrence, antipsychotic induced
akathisia is more prevalent with an incidence rate of up to 30% reported.9 Akathisia is a movement
disorder typically characterized by an inability to sit still and/or inner restlessness, which includes
rocking, pacing, and fidgeting.10, 11 The distress and subjective feelings of akathisia may be mistaken
as symptoms of a patient s psychiatric disorder. Frequently, psychosis may appear more evident during

6. Doing Business in Mexico
Executive Summary
To be given an opportunity to do business in Mexico, one must understand where to start and how to
deal with a totally different social and cultural environment from what one is accustom too. To
succeed in making a good first impression and to carry out any type of business transaction, it is
important to understand what these differences are.
When conducting business in Mexico, there are specific things that must be understood and complied
with. Just understanding how important building a relationship is, such as shaking hands and
exchanging pleasantries can have a huge impact. What could potentially be the start of a bad or
mediocre business trip now has the possibility of being a successful one.

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Any type of business meeting can take place while eating, depending on the time of day. Business
breakfast is common in Mexico and usually run between the hours of 8 11 am. Most of the time
business breakfasts are conducted in good restaurants. Usually these business breakfasts will last no
more than two hours. (Mexperience, 2006)
Lunches start around 2:00 pm and lasting until 4:00. In Mexico, lunch is the main meal for the day and
not to be used as a detailed power lunch. (Mexperience, 2006) During this time, business ideals and
concepts are discussed but the specifics are not. At other times, lunch will be used to finalize
agreements from previous meetings.
Dinner in Mexico is a late night affair starting around 9:00 pm. There could be times where
circumstances will dictate that business needs be done at dinner. Majority of the time though, dinner is
reserved for the family, which is very important to the people of Mexico. Should one be invited to
dinner, business should not be discussed unless the host wishes to discuss.

10. Benefits Of The American Dream
The American dream is something people, mainly immigrants, strive to reach. People all over see the
Americas as a magical place, or a place of unlimited opportunities that everyone wants to have. The
American dream is a dream of getting ahead... (the right to fail, William Zinsser). What provides for
the American dream in modern day society is the rights given to you when you become an American,
and the rights to get a job and earn money. The American Dream is accessible because those who can
achieve it, and those who try to, can reach it. but because the focus has shifted to realistic terms, it
may or may not be accessible to all. It is still accessible because if you try hard enough, you will be
able to achieve the American dream of freedom, a home, a job for money, and anything else you wish
to be able to do when being an American. Anything can be achieved if you try hard enough and you
want it bad enough to work for it. If you don t try to work, or try to succeed, then you don t want to
achieve the American dream.
The American Dream is accessible to all because if you try hard enough, you will be able to achieve
the American dream of freedom, a home, a job, or money. Barack Obama, our former President of
America, once said I believe we can give our middle class relief and provide working families with a
road to opportunities (Barack Obama, Keynote address 2004).This illustrates the concept that all
Americans can be given the chance to succeed and have opportunities that they deserve as an
American. success and failure are again becoming individual visions, as they were when the country
was younger, not rigid categories. Maybe we are learning again to cherish the right of every person to
succeed on his own terms and to fail as often as necessary on the way. (The right to fail, William
Zinsser). This quote means that people are beginning to understand that it is okay to fail as long as you
try to succeed. there are many different interpretations of the American dream, like the one that Anzia
Yezierska believes in America and I. The American Dream is accessible to all because Anything can
be achieved if you try hard enough and you want it bad enough to work for it, but some people don t
know that.

11. Customer Privacy Of The Hospitality Service Industry Essay
The evolving technology that helps provide services efficiently, assists in workload and support
employee function can also aid in customer privacy issues and company espionage. With businesses
moving from paper to digital, the risk of data breaches increases. Advancement in technology opens
the possibility of greater issues in privacy. In the hospitality industry where privacy is one of the top
priorities, customers expect the utmost confidentiality from this type of companies. The hospitality
service industry is an easy target for data security infiltration. Hotel payment card data are stored
longer with the practice of booking rooms in advance. Moreover, credit card data are stored during the
duration of the stay and even longer to cover payments of restaurant bills and other services. Multiple
hotel chains like Hyatt, Sheraton, Trump, Hilton and Mandarin Orinetal have admitted to having their
POS or point of sale systems hacked in 2015. POS systems are both the physical technology and
software used in financial transactions between the merchant and its customer. In situations where
there is a breach in a hotel information system, hotels have their standard procedures on how to handle
these situations. Organisations involved also implement guidelines and requirements that are needed
to ensure that data breach does not happen or happen again.

Changing views about Community
The definition of the term community has a long and detailed history, encapsulating concerns of
belonging and identity, time and place, difference and similarity, exclusion or inclusion. There is no
much social literature about this concept before 1910. In 1915, C.J Galpin is the first one who coins it,
offering a clear sociological definition . It was used to demarcate the small rural communities in terms
of service area and trade surrounding a central village. (Harper and Dunham 1959). This first attempt
of defining the community, was quickly followed by various competing definitions. Some of them
described community as a geographical area, others, focused on community as a group of people
living and sharing a particular location, place, while another category, looked at it as a common area
of life. For example, Frazer

14. Self-Obsessive Nature Of The Millennial Generation
Millennials are the most intriguing generation the country of the United States has ever seen. The GI
Generation were forced to deal with the First World War where they became the Lost Generation
whose morals, including God, family, life and death, were flipped on their heads. The Greatest
Generation had the responsibility of facing Nazis and dealing with the post traumatic stress disorder.
The Baby Boomers were the post world war generations who introduced credit and were the first TV
generation. Generation X dealt with Civil Rights Movement and a rapid increase in divorce amongst
parents creating trauma for children. However, Millennials seem to deal with several issues that
previous generations of the past as well as the scrutiny of previous generations alongside threats like
terrorism and the threat of infringement on privacy or how self obsessed we are by our social media
use. However, despite things being much harder in the millennial generation, such as education, we
are viewed as weak.
The self obsessive nature of my generation comes from the use of social media and how we crave the
liking and approval of others through our pictures or posts. Since 2005 the emergence of social media
sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or VSCO has allowed this generation to share their lives in
a glorified fashion in order to gain followers and attention from likers. However, this creates an issue
for our generation as the more we glorify the events in our life the more disappointing life is. For
instance, say you go to a Washington Nationals game and you send out an amazing selfie to post for
Instagram with the caption reading, Had an amazing day with my fam!, but the question is...did you
really? Based off of most peoples posts now a days it seems like their lives are just splendid. However,
life is not as hyped up as it is on social media
which will set everyone up for disappointment. That to me is the worst issue that Millennials face is
that they try to live up to a standard of life that doesn t exist.
The other issue my generation experiences is known as the Sins of the Father. The previous
generations never dealt with their own issues so they push it on to the younger generation to fix the
issue. The

way in which the women in the Portokalos family goes about breaking the news that Toula wants to
work at her aunt s travel agency. As Toula s mother says, The man is the head of the house, but the

According to the text, families add their own controls to achieve peace and quiet by using family
myths (CITATION, pg. 132). In other words, to help keep structure and the family in line there are
myths that are formed to keep the family closer. This is seen when Gus believes that Windex can heal
any wound; he sprays the cleaning product on cuts, rashes, and even pimples! The Greek family
believes that spitting on a loved one warns off evil spirits. There is also the myth that a Greek woman
has to marry a Greek man. Of course, Ian didn t have to be baptized for him to marry Toula, but as a
sign of respect for the family he did. Keeping everything the same and keeping everything Greek is a
way for the family to achieve their peace and quiet. Another theory that explains how to family relates
to each other is through the balance of social/behavioral exchange as explained in cognitive behavioral
theory. The theory of social exchange is when people strive to maximize rewards and minimize costs
and the behavior exchange theory is when there is a high ratio of benefits to costs (CITATION, pg.

20. Alexandria In Justine
The representation of Alexandria in Lawrence Durrell s Justine In his novel, Justine, Lawrence Durrell
gives his readers a new version of Alexandria, claiming that this is the real city . The novel would
arouse many questions to an Alexandrian reader s mind; does Durrell factually represent the
Cosmopolitan city of the time? Do his characters reflect the kind of life which the Alexandrian
inhabitants had back then? Or is he giving, throughout Justine, a parallel mythical city which he
created out of his imagination? The book clearly reflects Durrell s viewpoint regarding Alexandria; he
exhibits it as an erotic city that enforces a state of total indulgence in sensual pleasures upon its
inhabitants. Moreover, he tackles the city ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Durrell presents two Alexandrias; the Arabic Alexandria which is always related to negative
descriptions and always looked at with resentment and disgust, and the European Alexandria which
comes along with the clean streets and the civilized characters. Durrell exhibits the Arab Quarters as
an undefined mass; he does not name their streets or their cafes; he gives them no identity. In contrast,
the European streets are named, for instance; Rue Foaad, Rue Sherief and Naby Daniel. The voice of
the Arabs is shut; we do not get to see any Egyptian characters except for Nessim, whom we know
lately in the Alexandria Quartet about his national treason; a person who has no sense of belonging
towards Egypt. Nessim also is so westernized; the fact that Nessim s voice is heard in the novel goes
back to his wealthy state and his high social rank that did enable him to neglect his Egyptian
nationality and have a European lifestyle. Hence, Nessim does not represent the real Egyptian
Alexandrian inhabitant of the time. Durrell s claim that only the city is real is questionable; you cannot
write a novel as a representative of Alexandria and its inhabitants while choosing to foreground only
the western voices and background the Arab ones. So Durrell s colonial ideology is shown in his
writing; his tone is racial and biased against the Egyptians. Moreover, Durrell depicts Muslim Arabs

21. Creating An Emergency Response Plan
Creating an emergency response plan is very important in any business. There are different plans for
medical, fire, police, and school. The following plans are imperative in any environment. There are
many things that will happen and Incident Command System (ICS) will help to provide the responders
with an effective system that works. But before we go into the structures, an understanding of an
incident command system needs to be addressed. According to OSHA, n.d., ICS is a standardized on
scene incident management concept designed specifically to allow responders to adopt an integrated
organizational structure equal to the complexity and demands of any single incident or multiple
incidents without being hindered by jurisdictional boundaries . ICS is a sub model of the National
Incident Management System (NIMS), as released by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in
2004.
An incident command system is referenced to an adaptable, scalable response association which
provides a general agenda where people can work side by side efficiently. These people may come
from many different agencies that do not normally work together, and an incident command system is
intended to give regular response and operation procedures to decrease the troubles and possibility for

22. The Importance Of Voter Voting In The United States
Despite popular opinion that the United States is the greatest democracy in the world, we have
shockingly low voter turnout compared to international standards (Desilver). A complicated
registration process and strict restrictions on voting consistently discourage and inhibit Americans
from exercising their right to vote. Despite this, lawmakers continue to push for and often pass
unnecessary legislation limiting the ways in which citizens can register and cast their ballot. Certain
demographics are the most likely to be hindered by this kind of legislation, including young people,
poor people, and people of color. Politicians often use claims of voter fraud as an excuse to
systematically hinder these marginalized groups from participating in the democratic process, despite
being unable to back up those claims with any kind of concrete evidence. The limiting of voting rights
for young and minority populations is often blatantly politically motivated. Continuing to pile
restrictions and obstacles onto our electoral process is not only unnecessary, it is contradictory to
democratic values. There should be a shift in the focus of voting legislation towards expanding the
ways in which citizens can participate in elections and away from limiting them, which would both
increase voter turnout and ensure that all people have an equal voice in our government.
Voter registration legislation being used as a tactic to disenfranchise minority voters has a long history

23. Religion In The Middle Ages
The Middle Ages is the time between the fall of the Roman Empire to the rise of the Renaissance. As
the government of Rome disappeared with the fall of the Roman Empire, people were living
dangerous, hopeless lives. Religion became an important influence in the Middle Ages not just in
Rome, but for other countries in Medieval Europe who sought comfort in this religion. One of the
most influential and rising religion during the Middle Ages was Christianity. The Rise and Spread of
Christianity in the Middle Ages can be characterized by the fall of the Roman Empire, efforts by Pope
Gregory the Great, and activities of the church.

Monks were members of monasteries who were isolated from the world having to give up money,
property, and personal clothing. Monasteries attracted brighter minds with special skills that were
needed by society thus, making isolation impossible. For example, monks provided health care;
managing hospitals and orphanages in Europe. They also played government roles since they made up
most of the population who could read or write during the Middle Ages. Monasteries served as one of
the most reliable places for education. Many parents during the Middle Ages sent their children to
church for education. Following the fall of the Roman Empire, those who could read or write were
taught in monasteries whose monks were teachers. The monistic schools also provided most of the
religious teachings that were available to people of the Middle Ages. Not only did monasteries provide
education and religious teachings, they also promoted values that became crucial to medieval
civilization. Values such as self discipline, self denial, social responsibility, and charity were being
taught at monasteries. Since monasteries provided a place of refuge, medical care, and education, the

25. Cultural Rituals Of Women During The American Civil War
The American Civil War was the bloodiest war in American military history. One crucial significance
about this war was that it was fought amongst Americans rather than against a foreign foe. While
many focus on the causes of the civil war, there were advances made possible, as a result of war,
which should be brought into light. The American civil war created new jobs for women, brought
about cultural rituals that are the norm of society today, and made westward expansion possible. As
men went off to war, women had to find ways to provide for their families until the return of their
men. Women took over farm tasks, filled jobs at schools and offices, worked in factories, and even
became nurses to make wages. Women even became spies and scouts to aid in the war effort. This new
found independence would eventually push women to question their submissive roles and begin
fighting for their equal rights. Clara Barton, founder of the American Red Cross, put it perfectly: At
the war s end, woman was at least fifty years in advance of the normal position which continued peace
would have assigned her. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

26. Did The French Revolution Influence The Enlightenment Idea...
During the late eighteenth century, the people of France began to feel a sense of dissatisfaction
towards the government due to a number of causes. Many scholars argue that the nobility and
bourgeoisie, or middle class, had internal conflicts with each other or that the two classes had similar
interests and formed an educated elite. In addition, France was very poor at the time and sported a
massive financial debt due to the nation s participation in the American Revolution. This in turn led to
famine and popular unrest within the citizens of France. Although many monarchs, such as Louis XIV

Enlightenment ideas, realized that kings were unnecessary and overthrew ... Show more content on

This type of behaviour has become increasing popular among university and college students due to
the excessive marketing of energy drinks and alcohol (Matthew Cronin Craig S. Wright, 2005) Recent
studies concerning college students suggest heavy episodic drinking continues to be a major health
problem that is associated with legal, academic and health problems. The consumption of AmEDs has
been receiving increased research attention due to its association with heavy drinking (Lindsey Varvil
Weld, Miesha Marzell, Rob Turrisi, Kimberly A. Mallett Michael J. Cleveland, 2013). This recent
phenomenon is concerning researchers as they discover the related consequences of AmED use.
Researchers use the Anticipated Effects of Alcohol Scale (AEAS) in order to measure a
comprehensive sampling that varied in positive and negative effects, as well as high or low arousal in
order to identify plausible outcomes of drinking (Meghan E. Morean, Teresa A. Treat William R.

This temptation happens when the research question, such as a cure for cancer, is extremely important
and the answer could save lives. If the investigators cared more about the scientific or medical
advancement than the well being of their participants, they would cross a line that prohibits treating
human subjects as a means to an end. When this line is crossed, there is little left to protect patients
from a callous disregard of their welfare for the sake of research goals. Informed consent would not
matter because of the unbalanced relationship between the knowledge and authority among the
researcher and the subject. Approval by an institutional board, although it is important, can be subject
to change in its responsiveness to patients interests when they conflict with the welfares of the
researchers. Going back to Paul s case, he agrees to enter a clinical trial which was suggested by his
oncologist. The study, that Paul has agreed to enter, has claimed that this research team has created a
new drug that may be on its way to cure cancer. Obviously to a father and husband, this trial looks
very appealing. However, the researchers knowingly form two groups that will compare two
treatments. What Paul doesn t know, is that one of the treatments is better than the other. One group

the magician s brother by driving a dagger through his heart and lives happily ever after with the
princess. (The Arabian Nights). While Disney s Aladdin is similar to the original story, it is missing
the traits of a kind, caring mother and the willingness of the princess to wed who her father wanted her
to marry. These are fundamental traits and ideas found in Arab culture that are not seen in the Disney

42. College Essay About Success
When talking about success most often people think of actors, millionaires, etc. Coming from a small
town, a not so wealthy family, and being a first generation college graduate, that s not what success
means to me. To me success could be as simple as getting an A+ on an assignment. Now I am going to
be talking about success strategy s that I think are important, and that everyone could benefit from.
First I will talk about self motivation and the benefits it has. Second I will talk about stress
management and what you can do to relieve stress. Third I will talk about self responsibility and what
it means. Lastly I will talk about communicating in the classroom. The first success strategy that I find
to be the most important is self motivation (Downing, 2004). It took me a long time to understand, and
gain the courage to have self motivation. Sometimes it s really hard to have self motivation because of
family, friends, and life in general. For example, when I graduated high school, I moved to Presque
Isle to go to school for nursing. Three weeks into my first semester I got engaged, and moved back
home. At that point I was a college dropout, and didn t think I could go back to college. Why would
anyone want a student who went to class for three weeks then dropped out? Two years later, a lot of
hard work, and a lot of sleepless nights, I graduated with a Medical Assisting degree, and now I m
going back to school for Nursing.
To have self motivation, you need to believe

43. Allusions In The Hollow Men
T.S. Eliot s The Hollow Men is a broad allegory for trying to find deliverance in a landscape
reminiscent of purgatory. Eliot provides examples of allusion and imagery to describe a fully realized
apocalyptic scenario that affirms the hopelessness of people vacant in spirit. The poem is in five
sections, narrated by the forsaken hollow men. The speakers are a paradox stuffed with straw and
empty at the same time.
Before the first section are two allusions: literary and historical. Mistah Kurtz he dead is reference to
Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad. Kurtz was a man who had lost his humanity after traveling to
Africa and succumbing to insanity. A penny for the old Guy is a question traditionally asked by
children on November 5th in England. The question references Guy Fawkes, a British rebel infamous
for his involvement in the Gunpowder Plot , set to assassinate King James I. Both Kurtz and Fawkes
are hollow men suffering from their sentience in a situation where it is futile. ... Show more content on

Line 60 s tumid river is the Acheron of Dante s Inferno, which, in line with Greek mythology, was on
the margins of hell. The hollow men of the poem ritualistically gather on the beach of the Acheron,
permanently stuck without death or any form of crossing over. In addition to Inferno, the poem alludes
to Paradiso; described in line 64, the awe inspiring multifoliate rose appears as a twilight kingdom
another distant release the hollow men long for, yet is impossible for them to attain. An implication
from a line of Julius Caesar further characterizes the setting of The Hollow Men; Between the motion
and the act, is a nightmarish state wherein the hollow men

44. The Adventures of Polaris
Polaris was a 14 year old pale skinned boy with short brown hair, and brown eyes who lived on an
undiscovered island with his tribe. Mom I whined. When will I be able to become a fierce hunter like
dad? You will get it when you re ready. Mom told me. She was always saying that. But mom, I started
No! You will earn it, not whine like a baby! Now help me put these skins away. She said, angry as the
wolf dad killed yesterday. I let out an angry sigh as I walked out of the house. You better get back here
Polaris, or punishment will be severe, mom snarled. I walked back to the house and silently put the
fresh skins away. I then walked outside to find my friends. Hey. I heard from behind me. Hey, Fang. I
replied. Wanna come steal some skins with me? My mom says it s ok if I don t get caught. Yeah, sure
Fang. If I get caught and you get away, I will feed you to my dog. I said playfully. Ha ha very funny.
He let out a sigh. Well, we should get goin. I heard the Smerick family is away and since I m
housekeeper till they get back... Fang zoned out. I guess I can get their rare lion pelts that they got
from their relatives in America. After that, the police killed the family for illegal transporting. Pretty
brutal, right? At least they don t know about our island, like come on! It s bigger than Victoria! Well, I
think. I ve only seen it on maps. Fang said as I laughed at him. We walked over to the Smerick family
s house. They lived in the near
