Lesson plan
1st day
• What’s in the box?
Students guess what it is in the box answering teacher’s questions.
• Storytime
Teacher reads the story. She makes students participate actively answering questions,
repeating and miming words.
• 4 corners TPR game
Teacher revises bee’s actions and students mime them. Students are divided in four
corners. Teacher says a number and an action, students who are in the corner, mime
the action. Teacher changes actions and students’ positions.
2nd day
Videos
Students watch a video of the story and another about bee’s life. Teacher asks them
questions to revise vocabulary.

What‘s the matter bee?
Students sequence the pictures of the story and the key words.
What do bees eat?
Teacher sets written cards and pictures food on the board. Students identify the food
that bees eat. Also they match pictures with their names.
Role-play
Teacher revises the question structure: Do you like? and the answer Yes I do or No I
don’t.
Students are in pairs. One is the ant who asks and the other, the bee who answers
about food. They do a role-play.
Assessment

The very greedy bee

Learning objectives • Language • • Revision: colours, numbers, animals, food, actions.. • Introduction bee’s life • New vocabulary ( nectar, flower, collect.. ) • Language: It’s… Do you like?, Yes, I do/No I don’t • • Objectives • • To listen and understand the story • To read and write words • To recognize, review and identify animals, colours, actions, food.. • To be aware of values in the story • To listen and do a role-play • To practice pronunciation • To mime actions • To play games ( memory, TPR) • Cross-curricular content Science bee’s life
  • 4. Lesson plan 1st day • What’s in the box? Students guess what it is in the box answering teacher’s questions. • Storytime Teacher reads the story. She makes students participate actively answering questions, repeating and miming words. • 4 corners TPR game Teacher revises bee’s actions and students mime them. Students are divided in four corners. Teacher says a number and an action, students who are in the corner, mime the action. Teacher changes actions and students’ positions.
  • 5. 2nd day Videos Students watch a video of the story and another about bee’s life. Students sequence the pictures of the story and the key words. What do bees eat? Teacher sets written cards and pictures food on the board. Students identify the food that bees eat. Also they match pictures with their names. Role-play Teacher revises the question structure: Do you like? and the answer Yes I do or No I don’t. Students are in pairs. One is the ant who asks and the other, the bee who answers about food. They do a role-play.
