Another theory that is very reminiscent of behaviorism is the mechanistic theory in which humans do
not engage in cognition, but rather respond automatically to stimuli in their environment. The
animalistic theory also does not give humans enough credit, which would be the exact opposite of

This week s materials seem to give me a huge hit. They give me headache for sure, but they also
enlighten me. Of the three materials, the one I like the most is the one entitled Culture is ordinary. I
really enjoy reading this article. For me, it is like reading a journal or personal experience. It feels so
intimate, especially the experience shared. Compared to the other pieces, the book Culture and Society
or the article the Analysis of Culture, this particular article offers a different impression. True, the
shortness of the article first grabbed my attention. However, it does not necessarily mean that it does
not provide a poignant information. On the contrary, it gives me a more contextual and personal
information about what culture is. In addition, this article reminds me of my own cultural experience.

Federalism is a dual (split in two) system of sovereignty, splitting power between a central
government and various state governments. Both the federal and state governments can directly
govern citizens through their own officials and laws. The resulting Constitution allowed powers for
both federal and state governments. Each had some separate powers and some shared powers.
A federalist called John Marshall, as Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, made decisions

story. In this case, Esther is telling her story, first in a series of flashbacks and then in the present

While filming the movie, which eventually became one of his biggest successes, he fell in love with
