2. A Study Of Current System Essay
2.1: Study of current system
The current system consists of manually carrying out all the tasks such as
:telephonic communications regarding need of blood,
:searching the blood from storage,
:retrieving the required blood group,
:performing necessary documentations and
:delivering the blood.
This raises the cost and time required to a considerable extent. Moreover, the efficiency is reduced .
Sometimes, due to technical errors the blood delivered may be unhealthy but still it is given to the
patient in need causing altogether more complications.
The manual transmission might prove in vain if the blood group isn t available at the blood bank. It
wastes the passing time to a greater extent as after the end of checking the availability, still the
seeker has to undergo the whole procedure again along with travelling to another blood bank.
The worst case scenario takes place when the blood banks in that area doesn t contain the required
blood group. The time gets wasted and also in the end you do not get what was required.
As a result, keeping such problems in mind and many more a solution had to be thought of.
2.2: Problems and weaknesses of current system
:At present, the public can only know about the blood donation events through conventional media
means such as radio, news paper or television advertisements. There is no information regarding the
blood donation programs available on any of the portal.
:The current system that is using by the blood bank is

3. Significance Of The Diwali Festival
Diwali is undoubtedly the brightest and the biggest among the festivals of Hindu religion. The
word Diwali means a row of light and is derived from the two words deep which means light and
avali which means a row. The celebration lasts for four days and each of the days has different
tradition but the night of main festival coincides with darkest new moon night of Hinducalendar.
Generally this festival comes in the month of October or November. During the festival, the whole
country gets illuminated with light and dazzles with joy. Each and every day of the festival of light
and illumination is marked by different tradition by different communities. But the celebration,
enjoyment and goodness of all communities remain true and same.

This festival is not only about the outer illumination but also promotes awareness of inner feelings
which is the core for each and every human being. The true essence of Hinduism is the spirituality
and prophesizes the fact that a human being is not only a body and mind but goes beyond that a
powerful eternal source of energy known as soul. The festival depicts realization of this inner
power which shows the path of righteousness and prosperity even during darkest and hardest
times and an individual. The awakening of one s true and pure soul gives universal compassion,
immense peace of mind and higher knowledge. The illumination of houses with candles and
diyas along with the fireworks is an evidence of obeisance of health, peace of mind, happiness,

4. The Moral Obligation Of Affluent Individuals
The question on whether affluent individuals have a moral obligation to assist the poor is a
widely controversial subject, and this was even apparent in our very own ethical reasoning class.
So the question still stands, is it our duty to assist the poor? The answer is much simpler than
people make it out to be. Yes.
While this answer is widely based of off my own opinion as well as those of Peter Singer, I am
prepared to defend my answer not only with the Singers evidence but also with my own thoughts
and motives. But I don t believe that only the rich should feel the moral obligation to assist the
poor, I believe everyone should do whatever we can to help one another. I do not believe that
people should be forced into helping one another by laws and government authorities, but instead
that it is the simply the right thing to do. First off I am going to explain the details of Singers
argument for the moral obligation of affluent individuals to assist the poor. Singer basis his
argument off utilitarian grounds, so generally promoting whatever promotes the most happiness for
the most people. Here are Singers three main premises. First, if we have the power to prevent
something bad from happening without having to sacrifice too much then morally we should do it.
Second, poverty is the number one source of human misery. And third, those who are well off have
a moral obligation to help reduce poverty, but they do not necessarily have to sacrifice everything
or anything of too

Shelley s Use of the Modern Prometheus as a Subtitle to the Novel
The idea of the Modern Prometheus is important in the novel in many ways as Frankenstein is
widely known as being the Modern Prometheus . In having said this, Frankenstein is called the
modern day Prometheus as he stole from God something that was not meant to be known by
humans and animated his idea with science and modern day technology. Also, just like Prometheus,
Frankenstein and mankind were punished for these actions. Prometheus caused Zeus to create
Pandora who released all evil, disaster and illnesses to mankind, while Frankenstein would live with
the guilt and regret of having made this monster and releasing it onto ... Show more content on

However, the difference between their punishments is that Frankenstein was psychologically bound
to alienation, while Prometheus was bound by the Gods. This is also an indicator from Shelley
being that, in ancient times, it was the Gods who controlled everything, and were the ones who held
responsibility for all that happened. But on modern terms, man is in control, even for his own
damnation. This is another reason as to why Frankenstein is the Modern Prometheus .
Throughout the novel, light imagery is used as metaphors for knowledge; an example of this would
be the thunder that Frankenstein saw in the account of the oak tree, which symbolized the light of
inspiration and the light of utter ….destruction . A powerful cousin of light is fire who harms
all who penetrate it, also fire is able to cause a terrible destruction to anything that it is
bestowed….upon , as seen in Frankenstein s account of how the oak tree, that can been seen
as symbolizing himself, was blasted to a stump by the stream of fire issued by the thunder . The
association of light and fire then attaches a sense of harm to the light of knowledge and discovery .
One way of seeing the light the association of light imagery with fire is through the myth of

9 Ways Dogs Tell You They Love You. Relationship between dog and human have been existed
for thousands of years, studies shows that the first domesticated dogs came about 33,000 years. It
also revealed ways that the bond between dogs and humans has created many ways in which dogs
express how much they love their family. So here are the 9 Ways Dogs Tell You They Love You.
1. When staring at you. Your dogstares is an expression of love. I think Brian Hare, a well known
dog expert said it all, that when dog looks you in the eyes, he is hugging you with his eyes .
Research also proves that such natural looks release oxytocin, the same hormone that help mothers
bond with their babies.

just wanting to play. They want to offer their greatest possession for your enjoyment because they

dog and people they love. A study found that when dogs mimic people s yawns it is because the
dog is bonded with that person. The study also found that dogs were more liable to yawn when
their owners yawned, than when a stranger yawns.
4. Lifting and wiggling eyebrows: According to recent study carried out in Japan, dogs were
introduced to their parent, a stranger, a dog toy, and an item they didn t like. The research proves
that, when seeing their owner, the dogs immediately lifted their eyebrows; this suggests the dog is

8. RNA Interference in Biotechnology and Pharmacetics Essay
Almost all biology students learn the fundamentals of gene expression, DNA contains information
which is transcribed into RNA to create protein. Students however, are not taught of RNA
Interference, the biological process where RNA molecules inhibit a gene s expression, RNAi for
short. While RNAi is a fairly new discovery, its use in modern biological research is
groundbreaking. RNAInterference works by binding Double stranded RNA molecules (siRNA) to a
complementary messenger RNA. The enzymes Dicer and Slicer then cleave the chemical bonds
which hold the messeger RNA in place and prevent it from delivering protein silencing instructions
thus, the term, Gene Silencing. This phenomenon was first discovered by Richard Jorgensen in

Sanofi plans on using antibodies to target PCSK9 which could lead to an alternative to the
commonly used statins drug. Out of the 32 patients in the most recent trial, 24 received a single
dose of the RNAi drug. The results showed that the expression of PCSK9 dropped to a staggering
average, 70% and a 40% decrease of LDL cholesterol levels. If the PCSK9 inhibition drug deems
successful it is still not sure whether the drug will perform well from a business aspect.
Another application of RNAi is in Parkinson s disease. Researchers at the National Institutes of
Health have successfully used RNA Interference to uncover several genes which possibly represent
new therapeutic targets for treating Parkinson s disease. These discoveries may also be useful to
other diseases cause by damage to the mitochondria. Researcher Richard Youle explains, we
discovered a network of genes that may regulate the disposal of dysfunctional mitochondria,
opening the door to new drug targets for Parkinson s disease and other disorders (http:/

9. Descriptive Essay On A Water Park
The wet and wild idea
The sun was bright and there was warmth in the air so it was a great day to go to a water park
with my friend Darcy. We were going to be the first ones down the huge water slide. We had
been waiting all night and day to go down this exciting ride. There needs to be four people to go
down this water slide but there are just the two of us so we will just need to try and get a lot of
speed up at the start and hope that we can get to the end of the water slide. We want to be the
first ones down it but we look to our right and there are hundreds of people waiting to go down it.
We need to think of a plan to get around the huge line of people.
There s a lifeguard blocking the only way to get up to the water slide so we will have to be
careful there so they won t catch us sneaking past the line. We will have to distract the lifeguard.
Darcy you will need to tell the lifeguard that someone is stealing his car. Then we can crab a raft
and run up the stairs to the top of the water slide. We can quickly jump onto the raft and go down
the water slide. When we get to the end of the waterslide we will run to the busiest pool and jump
into the busiest pool so that the lifeguards can t spot us. Ok that s the plan now we have to do that,
Darcy muttered.
Ok the water slide jets turn on in five minutes so we have five minutes to find a hiding spot. It
would be a good idea to hide near the rafts so that we can grab one straight away and run up the
stairs Darcy said .

10. Organizational Theories Of Change Within Human Organizations
Introduction An Organizations ability to survive and manage change has become increasingly
important in an environment where globalization and competition are more intensifying. In the mid
20th century there has been increased attempts that apply to an organizational s theories of change
within human organizations. The first theory is concerned only with stability and equilibrium and
the control of negativity or feedback. Cao and Mchugh s (2005) systemviews many organizations as
interacting within the environment. The orgazational environment is set up of relationships that
relate to stakeholders or agents that factor beyond an organizations control. In dealing with a
phenomena comples, the syaste no longer sees the concept adequate.
This has led to the new theory which focuses on non equilibrium, instability and the emergence of
new structures and patterns. Systems are considered self organizing or evolving in the complexity
paradigm. Contemporary organizations are pervasive with change and interdepencies can be either
drawn between the public or private sectors where similar environmental challenges. Many of these
changes have taken place in the economic and political environment. In order to help understand the
changes the better the management process more effectively, a more comprehensive and dynamic
change of management is suggested. By intergrating systems theories, complexity, the fluid process
of organizational change and the disruptive, organizational change

The fundamental teachings of Christianity count no place more holy than any other: Jesus himself
says, Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them
(Matthew 18:20, KJV). Throughout the middle Ages, Pilgrims sought to close the distance
between themselves and God by engaging in physical travel toward a spiritual goal. Before 1000
B.C. churches were simply built to allow villagers in their respective areas to be able to worship the
God they believed in. Starting with the Romanesque style, and later the Gothic style architecture,
churches began to become massive monuments built to house sculptures, be early tourism
destinations, and simply allow the people in growing cities to all worship at one central location.

Frankenstein as a Critique of Mary Shelley s Society
Nature plays a large role in the novel, Frankenstein , both as the natural world and human nature.
The book is clearly not a story of fun and happiness. It is a sad but beautiful story of the need for
love and acceptance in society. This reflects a lot on
Mary Shelley s life, as you can tell from the language used in the text that she is writing from
experience in many parts of the book. Civilization in the days of Mary Shelley is very similar to
modern day society, in certain respects, such as the significant presence of justice and fear of the

Although it is almost impossible to avoid making these snap decisions, they can almost always
be changed later on, and put right once you get to know the person. Everyone wants to be
accepted for who they are, regardless of appearances or stature, however this is not always the
case. This can be related to the treatment the monster receives upon meeting other people. He is
not the norm , and is undoubtedly ugly to look at, but that does not make him a bad person.
Shelley manages to show this in such a way that the reader feels sorry for the monster, but we can
see that it is something that is unlikely to change, as it is a normal part of society and human nature.
Shelley shows her disgust at this harsh treatment through the monster s feelings, which are shared
with Victor later on in the book, and it is as if the author is pouring out her emotions, rather than the
monster s.
The hideous figure, the disfigured stature of this monster is the first thing noticed by Victor
Frankenstein. His yellow skin scarcely covered the work of muscles. This reference to the monster
s yellow skin depicts the same behaviour conducted in modern day racism. The colour of one s
skin does not dictate the intelligence, attitude and personality of a person. Regardless of the yellow

The traditional approach to the ethical treatment of employees, including employee terminations, is
often considered from nonreligious viewpoints due to the wide array of opinions which may result
from considering faith. There are two primary sources of information when determining the ethical

which includes stockholder theory and stakeholder theory. An examination of these sources is
important as each provides a baseline for determining whether a decision impacting employees is

23. How Did The Northern Colonies Shaped America Today
The northern colonies of New England, southern, and middle colonies have made America as it is
today. The different religions, economics, social issues, and politics they brought with them on
their journeys are what helped shape the United States. The northern colonies of New England
colonies were founded by the Puritans. The Puritans were English Protestants, however not all of
the New Englandcolonists were Puritans. At the end of the seventeenth century the Quakers started
to colonize the in state of Massachusetts. The Quakers thought that ministers and Bibles were not
required to worship God. The Quakers religion and the Puritans religion are complete opposites.
This led to several of the colonies treated the Quakers badly. The middle colonies were led by the
British Empire until William Penn was allowed to have land by the throne and shaped
Pennsylvania. All voters had to be Christian, on top of anyone hoping to be in office. The
resident government did not make colonists to go to church or to fee taxes the help the church,
like they did in other colonies. William Penn established a foreign assembly made up of tax
paying property owners that made the rule to ban any regulations approved by the council. He also

24. The Protestant Reformation, Religious Unity, and Calvinism...
Introduction
The Protestant Reformation of the Catholic Church devastated the religious unity of Christian
Europe, resulting in a great deal of antagonism, which in turn led to the persecutions, denial of civil
rights, expulsion, and ultimately the torture and death of many men, women and children. The
ongoing conflict was not consigned to one distinct European nation, but was experienced in every
European nation that the Catholic Church ruled and reigned. There was no worldview in Europe at
that time that allowed for the religious differences of men to coexist peaceably.
As quoted by McGrath in his book, French Protestantism to the Present Day. From Britain in the

In October of 1534, the Affair of the Placard occurred, what made this event of great importance,
was that it was a planned, written Protestant attack on the Catholic doctrine of Mass. These
posters, which condemned the practice of Mass, also appeared just about simultaneously in
several major cities of France overnight to include Paris, where Calvin lived. Francis I, retaliated
harshly and swiftly possibly, because of the recent treaty that he had signed with Spain to end the
Thirty Year War. Francis, possible to ensure his loyalty toward the Pope and the treaty arrested and
executed the Protestants whom were responsible. Calvin like many other fearing for their safety
left France, Calvin choosing to escape to Switzerland.
Reforming Christianity
When Calvin arrived in Geneva, William Farel saw in Calvin the leader that Geneva needed and he
urged the young scholar to go no farther but to stay in the city and help establish the work there
(Shelley, 2008, 256) . Calvin s patronage from Geneva helped with the growth and development of
the French Protestant movement in the 1550s. Calvin trained French Protestant pastors at the
Geneva Academy, and helped to smuggle them back into France to establish and develop local
congregations. It was also during this time he wrote Institutes of the Christian Religion, in 1536,
that put into words the

Ms. King is a brittle diabetic who has been on medication for many years. A new insulin is
available on the market that could help her greatly, but will cost her $500 a prescription. Mr.
Lennon has been complaining of difficulty breathing and weight loss, but his insurance will not
cover a CT scan until something abnormal is seen on a cheaper test. In a time where medications,
treatments, and tests are rapidly improving, very few patients can afford the care they need. This is
where an Internal Medicinespecialist, or Internist, comes into play. In my interview with Dr.
Stephanie Altobellis, she explained that Internists don t just treat patients, but also advocate for
them in nearly every aspect of the healthcare system.
Thesis:
Thus today, I want to share the three main things I learned about the field of Internal Medicine.
First, what exactly is an Internist and what kinds of problems do they treat? Second, how much
training is required to become one? Third, what additional duties do they perform besides treating
patients?
Transition 1: First, what exactly is an Internist and what problems do they diagnose and treat?
I.If you have ever seen a Pediatrician or Family Practice doctor for check ups, physicals, or shots,
this is similar to what an Internist does save for a couple of differences.
A.An Internist generally sees older patients from age 40 to as high as age 105.

Soteriades the Sage was one of the most famous cooks in Ancient Greece. Legends say he served
many kings and always had a new dish for each type of person he served, including the elderly,
lovers, and philosophers. This is proven in my source Greekalicious a historical cookbook
written by Maria Bernardis; Who (Soteriades the Sage) claimed he prepared different dishes for
different moods and ages. The Ancient Greeks had very similar culinary techniques as the modern
day Greeks. The Greeks valued a variety of foods and plants and incorporated them in preparing
some of their finest dishes, many that are still prepared and eaten today.
Bread and wine were some of the most important ingredients to the Ancient Greeks. They ate bread
with almost every meal. The Ancient Greeks most common breakfast was bread dipped in red wine
with fruit. They also occasionally ate bread with lunch and dinner and often had it as a midnight
snack. To support this, the Ancient Greeks drank wine with their breakfasts.

The famous scholar M.A. Rahim has said in his The History of Bengal Muslims that, It is a matter
of great wonder that the Hindu politicians who have raised movements to protect the division of
Bengal in 1905 , have claimed for the division of Bengal in 1947.On the other hand, the Muslims
who have supported the decision of dividing Bengalin 1905 have protested against the division of
Bengal in 1947. Actually lack of solution of community disputes, lack of cordial approach of
British Government, selfishness of the politicians of two most political parties Muslim Leagueand
Congress etc. were the actors led the way of division of Bengal. The Bengal was divided into two
parts. The Hindu West Bengal became the part of India and the predominately Muslim East Bengal
(present Bangladesh) became the part of Pakistan. The partition was done on 14 15 August, 1947
in the reign of Lord Mountbatten. This partition of Bengal also divided the people spoke Bangla in

Political Economical Reasons behind the Division of Bengal

reasons were mostly related to this division. They are:

To make matters even more confusing, there are those within the Business Analyst community who
have begun to distinguish between business analysts who focus on defining software requirements
and those business analysts who are focused on improving business processes. SAP, for example,
has set up a website1 for Business Process eXperts (BPXs), a group of analysts with more
extensive business process capabilities.
This vagueness between BA and BPM roles creates confusion in practice and academia, which
impacts on role designs, skills assessment, human resource development, recruitment and
professional development. The impact of such was made clear at a Leonardo Process Days 2010
conference panel where BA and BPM role differentiation was reviewed. An outcome of this
discussion was a consensus that i) Practitioners struggle to recognise and articulate the skills
required (BA, BPM or both?) for various organisational initiatives and how to locate appropriate
talent to fill these roles ii)
Academics fail to position BA and BPM as separate professions and often bundle them as the same
in their course descriptions and marketing iii) Students and prospective candidates for employment
vacancies therefore remain confused about the specific skill sets required of a BPM professional a

30. The Armed Forces
I am against the inclusion of women in the armed forces based on the utilitarian concepts of the
happiness of society as a whole, and the effectiveness of the armed services. I also draw
conclusions from the Aristotelian principles of justice and women s ability to be worthy of being
soldiers
Since the repeal of Don t Ask, Don t Tell in 2011, there has been a quiet uproar over the idea of
female combat forces in our military. There are strong arguments from either side of the aisle; The
maintaining of historical values in the military, or the modernization of our armed forces. Most are
political or social arguments, pathos rhetoric in a logos dispute.
Taking a philosophical perspective on the case of women in the military would entail looking at
the problem from two sides: the effect it would have on society and the effect it has on the Armed
Forces. To argue it from either side will require the ascertaining of concepts based on great thinkers
such Bentham, Nozick, and Aristotle.
The defense of women in the military comes from the libertarian perspective that people have a
natural right to take part in any activity that they want to and have the ability to. Arguments for
being able to enlist in the active combat services of the military could be drawn parallel to the
arguments against the draft and forced enlistment.

31. Essay On All My Pretty Ones By Anne Sexton
Crumbling under her myriad selves, Anne Sexton s poetry reveals through the journey of words
the labyrinthine setting that resides inside a disturbed mind. Intimate, almost with a sense, similar
to that of trespassing someone s private journals, her works bared her deepest and often darkest
desires for the world to read, scrutinize and often condemn. Poetry for her was a recluse, a
momentary escape route from her otherwise troubled mental state; keeping her more or less sane to
survive the wild, twisted world she built around her.
The genre of Confessional Poetry fit Sexton like a glove. She enrolled for workshops from Robert
Lowell at the Boston University and made close acquaintances with the likes of Sylvia Plath and
George Starbuck, meanwhile enhancing her only too verbally extrovert spirit. Over countless
martinis at the Ritz Carlton, the two women compared suicide attempts, discussed their mutual
enchantment with death, critiqued each other s work, and gossiped over drinks and free potato
chips.*

Alluding perhaps in the same vein as Macduff in Shakespeare s tragedy, Macbeth, the collection
chronicles her coming to terms with the vicious circle of life and inevitability hovering over the

her to cling on to writing for dear life. Her poems thinly conceal her feelings of bitterness towards
them and thus vividly capture the essence of the conflict between holding them responsible for
desolating her and lamenting their loss. Using it as a vehicle to transport herself from these
worldly sufferings, she used poetry as a defense, as a healing ointment to veil the scarring of her

The best way to reach youth is through their main sources of entertainment and well being. Three
main areas that would be best to introduce politics to youth would be through the family, school

that youth voters understand about politics will hopefully encourage them to go out and vote on

Future projections are made based on the prospected sales hence profits by the company. Due to

38. The Slavery Of The North And South Between 1700 And 1799
In the Western countries including America, most of the nations incorporated provisions for
slavery within their structure of governance. As slavery took roots in the North and South between
1700 and 1799, it influenced political, social and economic structures of the two regions throughout
the 18th century. Towards the end of 17th century, European masters embarked on granting
independence to their colonies. As the European colonies in the North gained independence,
residents of the independent states acquired cheap land that was left by their colonial masters. As
workers were needed to work on the land and build new towns, some of the families sold some of
their children to provide labor (Goldin, Cameron Balarajan, 2011). Furthermore, during the time of
colonization, American colonies in the North recognized compulsory labor; thus prompting most of
the masters to hire fellow Americans or Europeans as laborers. Although some of the Africans
provided labor in the North during this time, the colonial government did not recognize perpetual
servitude for the Africans. However, with the decline in the number of laborers, the colonial
government was quick to pass a law that contributed to the enslavement of Africans and their
children residing in the North. Furthermore, by 1700, most of the states in the North adopted laws
aimed at regulating slaves and servants (Morris, 1999). According to research, the Dutch and
English masters played a significant role in enslaving

would be outdated. We would have not had any advances in medicines or cures to many of the
diseases that are curable today. The stability in the government would not be balanced, and the
economy would sink into depression. Everything considered the country would be in turmoil and
misery.
Back in the 1900?s, the food was not the healthiest or cleanest you would see nowadays. From
Upton Sinclair?s book entitled ?The Jungle? written in the 1906, had called the nation?s
concentration to abuses by the meat packing industry. Sinclair disguised himself as a worker in a
Chicago meat packing plant to observe harmful and unsanitary practices. In the factory, to kill rats,
Sinclair wrote, ?the packers would put poisoned bread out for them, they would die, and then rats,
bread, and meat would go into the hoppers together.? Hence, that would be the meat made for the
public to eat. Many people did not consider that the meat industries actually did this, for example,
former President Roosevelt doubted Sinclair?s viewpoints, and however, he ordered an
investigation of meatpacking practices. The investigation report shocked him that he demanded
more health and sanitary laws. In June 1906,

43. The Denver Center For Performing Arts
The production A Christmas Carol was performed at the Denver Center for Performing Arts
located in Denver, Colorado. I had the pleasure to attend the show on December 14th in the Stage
Theater and I was captivated. This show captured the essence of a theatrical production. To avoid
false impressions, the production I saw was performed in 2013. This is a foretaste for those
thinking about attending the future performance in 2016; especially those who desire the theater
experience.
The Denver Center for Performing Arts has an exceptional reputation. The theater complex is
coined the second largest performing arts center compared to Broadway. Their qualitative
productions can attest to this and A ChristmasCarol is no exception. A Christmas Carolwas
originally a novel written by Charles Dickens and has been adapted into numerous renditions. The
Denver Center for Performing Arts has audiences experience the story in a different way, through
the art of theater. Director Bruce K. Sevy, playwright adaptor Richard Hellesen and composer
David de Berry captured the nature of the classic story and made it into a family friendly
production perfect for the holiday season.
Having knowledge and involvement in both the acting and the technical aspects of theater, I
expected the production to deliver a qualitative performance that gave its audience the full
experience. This experience is achieved by the elements of theater such as acting, lights, sounds,
props, costume and set design

Over the last three decades several United States auto jobs have migrated to the South. Some of the
things that have attracted these auto giants to these Southern States is the cost of living and
operating advantages which far surpass those of their Northern counterparts, which also attract
more white collar workers. The Volvo plant is no different, their goal for building in South Carolina
is an attempt to re focus it US market share, which had long diminished. Although having these auto
giants, such as Volvo come in to these small rural towns to encourage growth and development,
what effect does it really have in the community?

45. Loft Of Flowers And Paperman
Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom. Aristotle Human connection can be involved in
the process of uncovering what is hidden through emotional and unexpected discoveries. This
concept is portrayed in the poem Tuft of Flowers by Robert Frost and the short film Paperman by
Disney. Dissatisfaction with one s surroundings and life can lead one to rediscover what is
already known this being through self discovery and emotional discovery. This is revealed in the
poem After Apple Picking by Robert Frost and the picture book The Red Tree by Shaun Tan. By
analysing these texts and concepts the process of uncovering what is hidden and re discovering
what is already known will be shown. Both the poem and the short film follow the process of
uncovering what is hidden through human connection. The idea of human connection is introduced

This revelation came from the connection he gained when meeting the girl and then trying to
gain her attention by throwing paper aeroplanes. The moment of realisation came when sat at
his desk, it is shown by his facial expression but is symbolised through light and shadow. His
expression is at first saddened and defeated as paperwork is dumped on his desk, then it changes
as he realises his self worth and rushes out the door. In this shot one side of his face is in light and
the other in shadow, this symbolises his change in way of thinking. This journey of discovery is
then resolved by finally uncovering what is hidden through human connection. Tuft of flowers has
the final discovery; we may work alone but always have connection with others, Men work together
, I told him from the heart, Whether they work together or apart . This final line, complete with a
rhyming couplet, ties this idea and the poem together giving a sense of complete understanding and

46. The Economy Of Spain And Spain
The economy of Spain has taken a downturn in 2011 since the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries.
Unlike the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, where Spain was a global empire, modern Spain is
facing a very stagnant economy. Spain s unemployment rate reached a record of 27 percent in
2011. This shows that more than 1 in 5 Spaniards is struggling to feed their family. Luckily, things
had gotten better. The October 2015 unemployment report shows that the number of those who are
not working is down to 21.2 percent according to Spains unemployment falls, and Rajoy s
prospects Rise by Raphael Minder. The increase in jobs was mostly seasonal; and created only
by tourist s influence in Spain, not Spanish leaders (Minder). So the major issue presented by the
article is the idea that Spanish leaders are useless, in terms of creating a sustainable economy for
the country. Based on Spain s current situation, it is clear that Spain s current leaders are not
making the economy any better than their forefathers did a century ago, because a lot of Spaniard
are not finding jobs due to the current economic crisis. Again, only history can explain how a
dominant nation such as Spain is now back to the ground state.
Spain s current economic fall was foreshadowed in its history. Although, the economic status of
Spain was not well known in the past, the country struggle under Muslim ruler due to religious
difference between different groups leaving in the country. The moors took over Spain in

I started drinking soda at a very young age, but my intake increased when I was a teenager.
Drinking caffeine has had a negative impact on my body. I have gained a lot of weight from
drinking soda. Also when I drinkcoffeemy stomach hurts, but I drink it anyways to get through the
day. I am well aware of how caffeinenegatively impacts me, but that doesn t make it easy for me to

I have quit soda in the past a few times, but never all caffeine. I had cravings all 30 days and they
were really hard to control. I wanted a soda with everything I ate and every morning I
desperately needed coffee to wake me up. There were a couple of times I considered giving into
the cravings, but thankfully I didn t. Every time I craved caffeine I would drink lots of water.
On the mornings where I really needed caffeine I gave myself pep talks in order to not give in.
Clearly, those 30 days without caffeine was challenging for me. Although, I accept the impact
caffeine has on my life it wasn t easy quitting it. The first few days I was in the worst mood. I
myself didn t want to be around me. The psychical withdrawal was hard as well. I had a
headache for the first week in a half, which made it hard for me to focus on my work. This
definitely showed me that I depend a lot on caffeine to get through the day. More than I thought
because I need caffeine to wake up, to focus on schoolwork, to enjoy a meal, and even when I am
bored. All in all I have always known I drink to much caffeine but I have come to depend on it to
get through day, so I don t know how to quit

General partnership is formed when at least two people start a business for profit. A statement of
partnership authority may be filed at the discretion of the partnership.
In a limited partnership documents must be filed versus a general, they do not. Also, there must be
an agreement between people who engage in a limited partnership. It is also recommended that
limited partnerships keep an operating agreement.

In the election of 1800, Thomas Jefferson, a Democratic Republican, defeated John Adams of the
Federalist party which ignited a political panic within the Federalist party. In a final attempt to
maintain Federalist power, John Adams created several federal judgeships which included the
justice of the peace commissions which is the position that John Adams nominated William
Marbury for. Due to the late nature of these appointees the word did not make it from Secretary of
State John Marshall to William Marbury before the new Jefferson administration took over. Thomas

Madison was incredibly important to the future of our government because it allowed the Supreme
Court to become its own political and constitutional branch of the government. The Supreme Court
case set precedence for judicial review which is still used within the court today. The power to
review federal legislation was a landmark decision and it has severed its purpose within our federal
government for over 200 years. John Marshall s decision allowed the Republican and Federalist
party to proceed without gaining too much political control. The decision also served as another
check which balances our federal government to ensure that there is no collaboration within
different branches to proceed with federal legislation that would violate the rights of individuals in
the United States. Without the power of judicial review, many landmark cases may have ended with
a different result. The Supreme Court has used judicial review to rule that the United States
government has certain implied powers under the Constitution, it has also ruled that police must
inform suspects of their rights before questioning, and that separate schools are not equal. Many of
the cases that the Supreme Court has ruled on using judicial review have been landmark cases that
have advocated for the rights of individuals and institutions under the laws of the constitution. It has
also ruled that the President of the United States is not above the law. Without the

51. How Does Saving Affect The Economy
CHAPTER 1
AN INTRODUCTION TO RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
1.1 Statement of the Research Problem
Consumption and saving play an important role in the world economy and what determines
consumption and saving is income. As Keynes pointed out, When individuals are saving their
money, they are actually hurting the economy because saving reduces aggregate demand and thus
reduces company revenue . From this study, it is seen that one s expenditure becomes another s
income. On the other hand, saving is also important because of future consumption which has to
be maintained for meeting any kind of emergency or to be able to face any level of risks and
uncertainties. For this very reason precautionary saving has become very essential for migrants
since migrants face higher risks and uncertainties than the local people who do not have to worry so
much about their future.
In today s scenario, the study shows that with increase in migration, there is an increase in the total
spending within the economy which leads to an increase in the supply of labour and increase in
demand. Therefore, an increase in spending within the economy brings about an increase in the
GDP. Generally individuals or households look at the prices of the products and the quality before
making a purchase because price of commodities determines their consumption behaviour. How
much they save depends on how much they earn and how much they consume. Consumption and
saving behaviour differ from place to place. A person

has rolling hills, sandstone ridges, and other great things in this stupendous land region. Another
addition to these neat regions is the Gulf Coastal Plain. It has many wetlands which are vital
sources of shelter for many birds and fish, but almost half of the wetlands were destroyed for
agriculture. Right now Alabama is trying to reverse it and bring back those wetlands. Within all

We are all made of corn. Take a strand of your hair. A recent study proved that if you are like the
average American consumer today, your hair is 69% made of corn carbon. This is in contrast to
the 5% of corn carbon that is in the hair of Europeans. Americans use more corn in their diet than
anyone else, and the corn content of the American diet is partially responsible for our country s
widespread obesity and the prevalence of diabetes. America s over production of corn has serious
consequences for our health and for our environment.
How is it possible that we are made of corn? Most of the beef, chickens, and even salmon eat corn.
Today, it is rare to find anything not made of corn. We cook our food in corn oil, and we use corn

The problem is, cows are not built to digest corn, and so we are actually poisoning them while we
try to get the most meat that we can for America. Due to the severity of the situation, cows are
pumped with hormones and antibiotics just to keep them alive. In fact, if we didn t kill the cattle
when we do, six months later, the cattle would die anyways.
The mid 70 s was also the beginning of the rise of high fructose corn syrup.
Now, I m not talking about the corn we eat on the cob. There are many types of corn. The surplus
corn needs to be chemically processed in order to be edible. Basically, the average American eats
200 more calories a day than we did in the 1970s, a major factor being corn. This is why the levels
of obesity and diabetes in America have increased dramatically within the past thirty years. So much
so, that statistics show that we are the first generation of Americans who might actually be outlived
by our parents.
Okay, so what can you do? Before calling up an anti animal abuse organization or blaming farmers
for growing corn, remember that corn is an entirely government funded industry, from growing
corn to funding research programs to find new uses for corn. That s right, the government uses our
tax dollars to make us fat. You can write letters to our congressmen in hopes of changing the Farm

56. The Girl Next Door Summary
In The Girl Next Door Megan and her sister Susan have to move in with their Aunt Ruth and
there three cousins, Willie, Ralphie, and Donny. Ruth allows her son and the neighborhood
boys to come to the house to drink and smoke. While the boys are over Ruth abuses Megan,
physically and emotionally in front of them. Megan is called a whore and is starved. Ruth beats
up Susan and blames her beatings on Megan. The only person who tries to help Megan and
Susan is David, the next door neighbor. One day Megan goes to the police and as punishment
she is put in the cellar and is hung from the rafters. They all play this game of confession with
her. Since she does not play along with the game they strip her, blindfold her, and put a gag in
her mouth. Ruth invites all of the kids in the neighborhood to the cellar so they can burn, beat
and cut her for their own amusement. The next day Megan gets raped by her cousin Willie
while everyone watched. David tried to leave, but was forced to watch. Ruth heats up a needle
and carves I fuck, fuck me on to Megan s stomach. Ruth decides in order for Megan to never
want to be with a guy and for no guy to want her she needs to give Megan a clitorectomy with a
blowtorch. Megan died from all the injuries caused by Ruth. The next morning David starts a
fire in the cellar to get people s attention. Ruth sees that there is a fire and goes in to the cellar.
David then beats Ruth until she s dead with a crutch. A police officer arrived and took Susan to
go get help. The end shows Willie and Donny being arrested. Willie s personality is just like Ruth
s. He is taught and shown how to disregard woman and to take everything from them. Since he is
taught and shown this behavior he thinks it is acceptable to cause harm to another human being.
He has the personality trait of being malicious. His sole being in the movie is to cause harm to
Megan and Susan and to make their life as unpleasant as possible. Willie was in the adolescence
stage in the movie which means he was forming his own identity and seeking independence. This
is illustrated when Willie is not told to act in such way towards his cousin, but does anyway. He is
forming his own decisions that are not based off of anyone around him
