Fighting a War Against Aging of Your Face Essay
This is true. I had a friend in Jamaica, somewhere far away. Her age was 44, but everybody thought
her 25. Many sought after the secret of her ageless beauty, but few knew the truth. Discipline. That s
what it was, cold, hard soldier discipline. A long , tedious, even challenging skin care routine,
performed every single night before she went to bed was what did it.
In order to take care of your face, you ve got to gather your materials, wash, and moisturize every
night. It s like fighting a war, against age and time and brow droops and marionette lines. It s like
making peace with your body, detoxing the grease and grime within your pores. It s complicatedly
simple, but only one rule rules them all: No slip ups allowed. ... Show more content on

Antibacterials used too often leads to resistance, and the last thing you want to be doing is rubbing
drug resistant bacteria all over your face. Squirt a generous amount of soap on your hands. Rub. Rub
again. Rub until there s a mountain of foam, then sing the happy birthday song. That s right. The
happy birthday song, whose timing allows for the soap to do its job and get rid of all the bacteria.
Then, turn the tap on to lukewarm. Not hot. Don t want to burn your face. Not cold, either, because
cold water will close the pores you re eventually going to scrub. Rinse the bubbles away, then find
your facial cleanser. Squirt a dime sized amount. Any bigger, and you run the risk of irritation again.
Rub. Rub again. Rub until there s a mountain of foam, then put your hands on your face and rub some
more. This is the first march on your face, and you better familiarize yourself and cover every
territory, including the hard to reach undersides like the back of your ears and the back of your neck. If
your arms hurt from reaching, do not relent. March on. Once you re done rubbing, it s time to start
rinsing. Cup the lukewarm water in your hands and attack the foam. Only skin left alive. Washing
done.
No slip ups allowed.
The Charge of Moisture
Moisture comes in several steps, mainly because it s vital to skin success. First, locate the clay mask.
Now that the pores have been

Young David Hayden grows in morals due to the shocking events of the summer of 1948.
Consequently, David learns a great lesson about morals from all the episodes that occur. Marie is
found dead a few days after Frank goes in to see her. Frank claims she died of pneumonia. David s
next door neighbor, Daisy McAuley, goes to their house to comfort Gail. Daisy treats David
maternally and wants him to leave the scene of the crime. ; So she tell him to go over to her house and
have a piece of pie. While he s there, David encounters the deputy sheriff, Len McAuley. Len is drunk
and reveals the fact that he thought he saw Frank walking into David s house a little while before
Marie was found dead. David discloses this and the fact that, he too, saw Frank. David confesses to
his parents, ...While I was sitting there I saw someone cutting across our backyard. There s a knothole
you can see out of. I was pretty sure it was Uncle Frank. Then I got out and watched him go down the
tracks. He was going toward town... ; (97). After receiving the shock of knowing his uncle is a fiend,
David experiences a growth in morality. He chooses to tell his parents what he knows, or at least part
of what he knows, about Uncle Frank. This shows that he is developing in the area of honesty. Before,
David would have kept all this to himself, rather than face his parents with knowledge he knows will
displease them.

War Technology Research Paper
Technology is the use of scientific knowledge for practical purposes or applications, especially in an
industry or in our everyday lives. Technology usually involves in using an equipment and that
equipment can be very simple or very complicated to deal with. There are countless sources of
technology available to us along with multiple variations being created. Since the nineteenth century
to present day, the creation of technology has dramatically increased and improved. There are
technical devices for almost everything, currently, our society is living off of technology, due to that
fact that it makes any frequent task more convenient and effortless. Since the invention of the first
mechanical computer designed by Charles Babbage in 1822, our society that we know today has come
to be.
In 1936 Alan Turing, an English mathematical and a logician created the Turing machine (Copeland,
2000) which was originally created for the purpose a mathematical tool, it represented a computing
device that contained a read/write head or a scanner with a paper tape passing through it. This machine

At the time of the World War II, things were very different, they needed something or some
technology to strategize and make plans which could help them through their war. In 1941 a computer
called the Z3 was developed by a German engineer named Konrad Zuse, which was used for
aerodynamic calculations as designing airplanes and missiles for the war. The Z3 was the world s first
programmable automatic computer ( First generations computers, 2007). The Z3 used 2,300 relays
and was operated on a 22 bit word length at a 5 10 Hz clock frequency. However, in 1943, the Z3 was
destroyed in a bombing raid in Berlin, but Zuse did not stop there. He rebuilt the Z3 again after 17
years in the 1960s which became the Turing Complete (Brown, 2016) and as a result of the Z3, Zuse is

Does online social networking hinder the development of...
The 21st century has seen the internet transformed into a tool that has made communication easier and
more accessible. This transformation came about side by side with ideas of online social networks that
would enable the interaction of citizens of different countries. Teenagers, being the main players of the
online generation, have been caught up in the mix of online social networks as they have grown into a
period whereby technology has revolutionized the way people go about their daily activities.
However, due to the excessive amount of time spent on these networks and the online freedom that
teenagers have, granted from social networking sites, they are left prone to negative effects on their
development. For the purposes of this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Furthermore, from a 2010 nationwide survey of more than 1000 girls aged 14 17 conducted by Girl
Scouts of America, girls with low self esteem admitted that their online image did not match their real
image and were more likely to claim that they portrayed it as sexy (Muscari). Therefore, online social
networking use should be monitored primarily on the creation of user identities to prevent teenagers
from developing exaggerated identities which do not match who they really are. Furthermore, the
exaggeration of personalities may lead to confusion between who a teenager really is and who he/she
portrays to the online realm. The terms of service of these online social networks require a user to be
age 13 or above (Facebook Terms of service). Erik Erikson, a developmental psychologist who studied
identity formation argues that this age correlates with the stage of identity versus identity confusion
[whereby] teenagers seek to find out who they are, what they are all about, and where they are going
in life (Cowie). This confusion could be detrimental to the development of teenagers as it might lead
to identity crises or lack of identity and other types of depression diseases associated with it. Thus,
online social networks hinder adolescent identity formation because they allow them to exaggerate
their personalities and form new identities which can lead to identity confusion and associated
disorders. Secondly, without supervision, the

Track-Personal Narrative
I was thinking if I should go straight or turn right onto the track when I was leaving school one
miserable day. I had made my decision to go right because I would get less wet. So I walked home on
the long deserted track when I saw Barry Bagsley and his little puppets Doug and Danny playing catch
with a little Moorefield primary boy. I kept walking down the track thinking that I could just avoid
them by running fast through them. As I got closer I realised that they were grabbing the contents of
within his bag and throwing it everywhere. I felt like I had to help out the little guy but at the same
time it felt so wrong to go down and come into contact with my foe.
My mind was telling me to avoid them but some little inkling in me told me to help him out. I
followed that inkling and kept walking along the muddy trail. Until I thought no I will turn around,
why make myself the target when I could just walk away, no it was too late, they have seen me. ...

The Queen
A film directed by Stephen Frears in 2005
Written assignment:
Write an essay (700 1000 words) in which you make a portrait of either Queen Elizabeth or Prime
Minister Tony Blair, based on the way the character is depicted in the film. Your essay should also
include a brief characterization of either Prince Philip or Cherie Blair.
You may use any of the elements of cinematic technique and/or theatrical elements in support of your
portrayal of the characters, using the document Film analysis .

As the pressure grows heavier because of the Queen s absence, she finally decides to go out in the
public and show support. She fears the people see the monarchy radically different than before Diana s
death. When she finally goes out and sees the flowers at Balmoral she realizes that even though she
had badly misunderstood what her people had expected of her, they cherished and loved her presence.
After her experience at Balmoral, she goes out and makes the long anticipated statement concerning
Diana s death and she shows her people that she cares, maybe not wholeheartedly but she gives them
what they want and shows the compassion that they need. This show just how much the Queen
evolves during the movie and turns out to be a dynamic character, who grows as the story unfolds, and
has a interesting bending character arc. The way Helen Mirren portrays the character and catches the
essence of Elizabeth as a Queen, who isn t condescending, overly arrogant and stereotypical gives the
character immense depth and required strength and even though you doubt it at times, she turns out to
be the protagonist.
Brief characterization of Cherie Blair.
Cherie Blair is a woman who knows what she wants and does not hold back her opinions on any
matter, several times during the film she indicates that a modernization of the monarchy would be

Night Quotes About Night
According to The Houghton Mifflin dictionary, night is defined as the period between sunset and
sunrise, especially, the hours of darkness (p.887). Everything terrible happens at night. Every death,
every tragedy, anything for that matter, happens at night. The significance that Elie Wiesel was trying
to imply about night was a form of darkness. Darkness, as in danger. Darkness as in loneliness;
loneliness as in sadness; sadness as in death. The symbol of death is expressed by the main character
of the novel, Eliezer. Eliezer might not have died, but he experiences darkness, darkness of the soul,
and loss of faith.
Eliezer s character changes over the course of the story, therefore, this change can be seen clearly in

This is seen when Eliezer s soul turns to darkness. He feels abandoned by God, he feels alone and
suffers from depression. Eliezer also loses faith in everything. No faith is restored. His family, in
humanity, and in his own beliefs, gone. All is lost. Eliezer is an excellent example to express the
significance of night in the novel Night since he expresses both, darkness of the soul and the loss of all
faiths. All of the above is a sigh of what can happen in only one night. Did your life ever change in

The Topic Of Free Will
The topic of free will is an interesting and thought provoking debate. As a child, I always believed that
I had freedom to make my own choices, but now I am not so sure. To start, we must first define the
term free will. According to the Oxford English Dictionary, free will is spontaneous or unconstrained
will or the inclination to act without suggestion from others ( free will ). There are four major views
on the topic of free will. One is fatalism which is the view that all things are determined to happen but
prior events do not influence these events. Another view, determinism, is the belief that all choices are
already established due to prior events. The compatibilist view is one where determinism and free will
can coexist. And the last is libertarianism, the belief that we have free will and nothing determines the
choices that we make (Class Notes). Philosophers like Barron Holbach (determinists) argue that there
is no such thing as free will, while William James (libertarian) and G.E. Moore (compatibilist) beg to
differ. I agree with Moore and the compatibilist view. Baron Holbach held the view that we have no
free will. He was a materialist and determinist meaning he defended the view that everything is
subjected to laws of nature. The view that human beings are subjected to the laws of nature shows that
there is no freedom to make choices because we just follow what nature commands of us. He stated
that actions are a consequence of temperament, received

The Fear Of The Nightmares
The amber glow of an outside street light filtered in through the narrow windows, bathing the pool in a
surreal irradiation. The yellow light danced over the still water, creating abstract patterns on the white
tiled walls. Most would have found the serene ambiance calming, but for Tom, it was a vision straight
out of one of his nightmares. Over time, he d developed a fear of water, and while others experienced
the terror of falling when trapped in the REM cycle of sleep, in his dreams, he was always drowning.
His phobia was deep seated, and he no longer went swimming. But strangely, if he had a life vest, he
was still able to enjoy the ocean s tranquility if he were on a boat. He put the disparity down to his

In his mind, anything was better than stripping naked in front of a group of strangers. But he put Tom
s hesitancy down to his over cautious nature, and removing his most valuable items, his jacket, he shot
his friend a cheeky wink and dived into the pool.
Tom s muscled tensed, his concern curling his fingers into fists. He suffered through several long,
agonizing moments, his heart hammering against his chest, waiting, watching, counting down the
seconds in his mind until Booker s head bobbed to the surface. When he caught sight of his friend s
dark hair, he exhaled a weighty breath. But his relief was short lived. As Booker effortlessly swam to
the side of the pool, the cold hand of fear gripped his heart, and he gulped down his rising panic. His
lower lip pulled between his teeth as he tried to focus his mind. Tyrell had given him two choices,
neither ideal, leaving him caught between a rock and a hard place. Both options were likely to bring
on a panic attack, the trauma of which would prove him unworthy in the teen s eyes. But he couldn t
just stand there like the coward he was and not expect the shadow of suspicion to fall upon him. His
lack of courage was putting the whole program at risk, and he knew he needed to act fast or live with
the consequences forever.
But before he could formulate a stalling tactic to buy him some time, Tyrell Carson made his decision
for him. Time s up, McQuaid. The pool it is. Throw him in, boys.

Although physical torture is now illegal, it does not stop police from using other methods of
psychological deception. One of the most popular methods is showing the suspect falsified or
fabricated evidence, otherwise known as a false evidence ploy (FEP). There are three categories:
demeanor, testimonial and scientific. A study done in 2007 showed that ninety two percent of a sample
of 631 policemen used FEPs to gain a confession (Forrest, 2012). Demeanor FEPs are characterized
by the behavior of the suspect and using those assumptions to determine whether or not he or she is
guilty. Sayings such as We can tell the way you re acting that you are not innocent and You don t
seemed surprised or sad that he is dead show that detectives and police use the suspects appearance
and behavior to specify guilt, even though there is no evidence proving it. Testimonial FEPs are one of
the most common and consist of eyewitnesses, video surveillance or a co conspirator that puts them at
the place and time of the crime. In 2009 Nash and Wade conducted a study showing the power behind
this kind of FEP. All of the participants signed and admission of guilt when viewing a falsified video
recording or even the threat that there might be incriminating evidence. Scientific FEPs are viewed as
the most deceptive and coerced due to their seemingly undeniable nature. These include fingerprints,
DNA, medical reports and other forensic evidence. In a survey it was

Populist Party Dbq
The late nineteenth century was a power struggle between the democratic and the republicans parties
of the United States. The struggle between these two parties eventually led to the populist party s
emergence. As a result of how the populist party built trust and united certain people, this was evident
by the combined effort of individuals who have otherwise never united together before. The party rose
to fame with the advent of the them listening to the concern of the people. However, the party saw its
fame quickly dwindle during the election of 1896, with silver being the cause of this downfall. With
the dominance of the Democratic and Republicans in the political landscape of the country at that
time, people were under the impression ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The populists fed off of many different issues that led to their rise and impact, with one of the main
issues being the call for ownership of railroads for farmers which will make it easier for farmers to go
from their crop to the market but the thing is that it has to be low cost (Eric foner, 653). With the party
calling for low cost rails, they gained the trust of the farmers, saving the process of going back and
forth which cost them large amounts of money. With the decrease in prices, the farmers do not have to
spend as much as they were before, which in result would grant them the ability to be able to invest
more in their crop. One of the other reasons the populists rose to prominence was the fact that even
though they were not as popular on the national level, they were trying to unite black and white
farmers on both economic and political program (Eric foner, 654). With them even trying to unite
these two races it showed that they were listening to the people s problems. The main reason the
populist party collapsed was during the 1896 campaign of the nomination of William Bryan for
president with their program being reduced to free silver (Eric foner, 657). When Bryan bringing up
the prospects of free silver, the demise of their party was eminent, since that was not a key aspect of
what the populist party stood

The Merchant s Tale Summary The merchant s tale from The Canterbury Tales may be one of the
more versatile tales, as the relationships the merchant holds is common throughout both life and in

his anger and said that all married men are morose, and complains about his wife s qualities. He also
said, I have a wife, the worst possible; for though the devil were married to her she would outdo him, I

changes in the political and social climate during postwar prosperity the Volstead Act, prohibiting the
production, sale, and possession of alcohol in America (History.com Staff); the 19th Amendment,

Advantages Of Blackout Curtains
Have you ever stayed in a hotel and thought Gosh, it would be great to be able to block out the world
the way the curtains here do ? Most hotels use blackout curtains to help keep your room dark at any
hour, plus reduce energy expenses and nose levels down.
What are blackout curtains?
Blackout curtains are curtains that are include the use of a special fabric called blackout fabric. This is
a fabric backed by foam in a special manufacturing process. The addition of foam makes them thicker
than usual and opaque enough to block out all light. The extra thickness of the material also helps
insulate the room against both noise and heat or cold from outside.
Who uses blackout curtains?
As noted above, they are commonly used in hotel rooms to help travelers sleep as well as possible
under difficult conditions. Not only are they in a strange place, they may be suffering jet lag and hotels
can be in noisy commercial districts. But, blackout curtains are also popular with people who work
nights, people who do shift work where their schedule regularly changes and parents with babies at
home. These are all people that need to be able to control their environment in terms of light,
temperature and noise so that they or members of the family can get some sleep, even during daylight
hours. Some people also use them to create home theaters because theaters also need to be dark and to
block out external sources of noise. They are also sometimes hung over glass doors opening to wide

insertion and maintenance. Choosing a champion among staff, or a certain peer to help influence
behavior will also help overcome resistance to change among nurses who are unwilling to change for
the sake of convenience or habit. Creating a peer to peer educational plan is also shown to encourage
and empower nurses to decrease catheter use (Meddings et al., 2014). Finally, behavior must be
analyzed to see if new protocols and policies are being followed. If they are not, a discussion should

Milgram Obedience Experiment Essay
Among the top most famous and shocking psychology experiments are the Milgram Obedience
Experiment, The Asch Conformity Experiment and The Standfort Prison Experiment of Zimbardo.
Those experiments helped us change the waye think about the human mind and behavior. The
Milgram Obedience Experiment Near the 1960 Yale University psychologist Stanley Miligram began
what would become one of social psychology s most famous experiments. Milgram began his work
during the widely publicized trial of the World War Two Nazi war criminal Otto Eichmann. In
Eichmann s defense along with other Nazis for sending millions of people to their deaths was that he
was simply following orders of his superiors. The trial got Milgram to thinking what might the
average person be capable of when under orders. For his initial experiment Milgram included 40 male
volunteers using newspaper ads, he built a shock generator with a scale of 30 switches that supposedly
deliver shock in increments of thirty volts up to 450 volts labeled with terms like slight shock to
dangerous shock up to simply xxx . He paired each volunteer participants with someone who was also

Who Is Andrew Carnegie A Hero
A role model is somebody who people look up to due to their extraordinary work, experiences or
personality. Every individual have at least one person they look up to and have the motivation to
follow on their footsteps. Andrew Carnegie, a classic individual who can define the phrase Rags to
Riches . In some perspective, he can be seen as heroic and kind, however, there are those who see him
as a selfish individual. Andrew Carnegie was both a hero and a villain, considering he was a
philanthropist, he knows what it was like to be poor and the way he treats his employees. Andrew
Carnegie was born as poor as anybody can be back in the day. He lived in an attic above his father s

someone should have a great knowledge on how much they earn and how much it can affect their
business. He can be a great model for someone who is passionate about business. Although, if Andrew
Carnegie was a genius businessman, why would he give his employees an unhealthy environment. His
employees would work on such terrible conditions. On document 6 one stated the men call this the
deathtrap . The examples of how these workers were badly treated does not seem to belong to such a
great businessman. Andrew Carnegie was both a hero and a villain, considering he was a
philanthropist, he knows what it was like to be poor and the way he treats his employees. In some
aspect, he was indeed a hero and it does seem he care about the humanity, which is why he had so
many charities and foundations. He is even considered the original philanthropist. Despite all the
evidence on why Andrew Carnegie was a villain, he was a hero in many individual s eyes. Andrew
Carnegie was a phenomenal businessman and a hero for the American

Five Points Sociology
The Truth: Irish immigrants were driven to America by the potato famine of the 1840s. This caused a
massive influx of immigrants to New York City who were forced to settle for the cheapest and
shabbiest lodgings in a poorer area of the city, known as Five Points. These kinds of conditions
resulted in dirty, overcrowded spaces with relatively poor standards of living. Men typically worked at
a trade, what we would now consider blue collar, or working class jobs, to provide for their families.
Due to the fact that in this time, women were still not welcome in the workplace, many unmarried or
widowed women were forced to turn to prostitution in order to support themselves. Gangs were
formed to promote political candidates, and sometimes fought among themselves. There was also a
building known as the Old Brewery, where more than 1,000 people supposedly lived. It was torn down
in the 1850s so that the land could be used for a mission to do charity work. In the 1890s, Five Points
was converted to factories and public buildings, essentially ending the Irish occupation of the area.
The Civil War began in 1861 and lasted until 1865, covering the majority of the events in the movie.
In order to recruit enough ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

and there wasn t as much crime and violence as the movie suggested. Although there were gangs that

movie. The gangs were formed to promote political candidates, which they did show in the film, but
they didn t fight for reasons other than politics, and their fights weren t as bloody. The Old Brewery
that the Dead Rabbits use as their headquarters was a real building, but it was torn down roughly ten
years before the events of the movie took place to be converted into a religious

Graffiti Research Papers
Graffiti has existed for several decades and it s still going strong. By the definition of any type of
writing on the wall, it actually goes back to ancient Rome. The style of urban graffiti, that most
identify as graffiti, came from New York City in the late 1960s. It was born by the tagging of subway
trains. Tagging means, that they would simply leave their signature in places. For tagging on the
insides of trains, permanent markers worked, but using spray cans of paint quickly became popular as
well, especially for tagging on the outside of trains.
Soon, graffiti became more than just simple tagging, because the graffiti artists, would try to exceed
each other in terms of style. At first, writers would try to make their tags more stylish than anyone else
s. Later on, they would add more colours, special effects, and make their name bigger. Graffiti really
evolved into a complex art form with its own techniques and vocabulary. From simple tags on the
insides of trains to masterpieces that spanned multiple subway cars, the art and science of graffiti grew
quickly and soon ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Like all other artistic forms, graffiti has experienced movements or changes in style. The messages
have also evolved. Graffiti has always been somewhat political, but it has come a long way from
simply tagging one s name to parodying world leaders to make a statement. (Sanchez, 2007)
This is further proof that graffiti is a form of art and not just a result of random acts of vandalism. The
graffiti community moves in different directions and the resultant artwork moves with

The director of this part was the wife of Byron Delto, Clare Delto. They had also one Armenian
accompanist Leon Thomasian. If I am not mistaken he was alumni of Glendale Community College
and had a master degree in music. The first piece of this part was the old music composed by Henry
Macini and arranged by Jay Althouse called The Pink Panther . I like the mood that this music brings
with it. I use to play this song on the piano during my childhood. It was very interesting to hear this
music with the unique performance of this ensemble. They were imitating the music without a single
world and it was awesome because with the variation, tone, accents and temp in their voices and with
the gestures and mimics of their body they were bringing to me the feeling of something strange that
would happen within every moment and then in the ending there is a culmination of this story with
atonal harmony. Then a solo male artist probably a student started singing an acapella the famed song
Lately by Stevie Wonder. It was a very spectacular performance without any microphone or special
equipment for voice enhancing. I am pretty sure that he had a strong tenor voice with a very artistic
behavior. After 60 s Rewind arranged by Kirby Shaw came for me probably the most interesting part
of vocal improvisation. It started by couple bars of

I never thought I would have something in common with Michael Jordan that is until I was cut from
the high school basketball team. It may not seem significant to most people but to someone who lived,

describe what I faced after this defeat. Friends, teachers, and classmates alike frequently inquired how
the team was doing, expecting me to be a part of it. As the days passed, self confidence plummeted

Deprived on Sleep
It is important for everyone to get enough sleep, but many people often ignore it. If people do not get
enough sleep they may experience sleep deprivation. Sleep deprivation can have negative effects.
When people do not get enough sleep or less, they may feel crabby and unable to function as well as
they usually do the next day. Balancing work and parenting as a single parent in today s society is
tough. Juggling children, work, taking care of home, and cart the children to extracurricular activities
are a lot for one s plate. As single parent I had my share of sleepless nights as well, mostly when either
my children fall sick or when I work extra shift at work. The last time I remember when I had a
sleepless night was when both of these factors together came to hunt me. I agreed to work extra hours
at the hospital because the night shift secretary was unable to come into work. Although I had worked
a 12 hour shift, I still had enough energy to work at less five more hours that I had agreed too. At the
end of my shift I was ready for a hot shower and my warm bed to rest. My daughter came down with a
fever that night. She was vomiting, and could not keep any fluids down. My daughter was restless and
was only able to sleep an hour at a time. I wasn t really able to sleep at all because I was constantly
checking her temperature. Each time she vomited or even tossed and fussed in her sleep I was up with
her. Of course when the sun had risen I immediately took my daughter to the

The United States Banking Industry
The United States banking industry has been a problem ever since the fraud and corruption from the
market crash of 08. There have been two sides arguing what we should do to these banks. Many
people say, We need to split up the big banks into smaller banks. Their argument is that the smaller
banks will be easier to monitor to make sure no fraud is going on and it will cause there to be more
competition in the industry which will lower interest rates. The other side of the argument where many
people also stayed is that the big banks don t need to be split up. They just need a bailout to get back
on their feet and they can sort this mess out. The arguments stand on two principles one side says the
banks are corrupt and need to be disbanded, and the other side s states that the banks are too big to
fail; come ground is difficult for these two but they both want to fix the economy. The argument is
really heated on who know how to fix the economy. The government backs the too big to fail side of
the argument while most Americans side with the splitting up of the banks side of the argument. The
too big to fail argument says Rates can only below if big banks set the rates there, the smaller banks
can t operate at too small of rates (White 36). The bigger the bank the lower the rates they can afford
to offer. In theory, that plan should work, but banks are greedy and when a bank dominates the field
they charge the highest rates they can because they can. In the textbook

Why Is Victor Frankenstein A Monster
Accursed creator! Why did you form a monster so hideous that even you turned from me in disgust?
God, in pity, made man beautiful and alluring, after his own image; but my form is a filthy type of
yours, more horrid even from the very resemblance. Satan had his companions, fellow devils, to
admire and encourage him, but I am solitary and abhorred. Mary Shelley. In this quote you can see
that the monster is angry at Victor Frankenstein because Victor turned him into a hideous monster.
According to the book there is only one monster and that is the creature of Victor Frankenstein. But
you can also look at it in this way: Victor Frankenstein made a monster, so is Victor then also a
monster because of what he has created?
First the definition of monster:
1. Any animal or human grotesquely deviating from the normal shape, behaviour, or character.
2. A person who excites horror by wickedness, cruelty, etc.
To begin with, Victor Frankenstein was driven by his ego. He thought that he had found a solution to
escape death. The only thing Victor really wanted was to bring a dead person to life as fast as possible
and therefore be famous. As scientist he didn t began good with his project, he began straight with
making the body without any sort of testing. He also wasn t ethical, without permission he took organs
and pieces of body from ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

from the inside and Victor Frankenstein s monster is a monster from the outside but somebody who
wants to be loved from the inside. They both do monstrous things. Victor gave the death a new live
and that s not the way this world works, so it only could go wrong. The monster did murder people,
but only the relatives from Frankenstein nobody else. So coming back on the definitions of monster.
Victor Frankenstein is more number 2, because of the things he does. The monster is more number 1

1. WHO was involved?
The two groups involved in this historical issue were factory workers and business owners. Business
owners who had selfish ideals and didn t care about the safety of their employees because they were
clouded by greed.
2. WHAT happened?
During this time factory workers faced harsh working conditions and had low paying wages. They
weren t given basic rights as workers and they were certainly not protected. The conditions they had to

This is when the US started overflowing with new urban cities, where factories were built. New
technologies and machines were introduced during this time, which made the US the ideal trading
partner. This drastic advancement led to overproduction but most importantly it caused the blood and
tears of deprived factory workers.
· SLIDE 3: Causation
8. Why did it happen?
I believe that this event happened because of the ideology, Laissez Fare. This ideology supported the
privacy and liberty to all business owners. In other words the government was not actively involved in
the way these owners ran their factories and they were most definitely not concerned with how factory
workers were treated. Instead government officials ignored the problems within these factories and
showed zero importance towards workers well being. There did not exist any laws or rules that limited
business owners authorities of their factories.
9. How did the context/events of the time period lead to this event?
The need for advancing and introducing mass production is what enabled such event to occur. Without
this need, factories probably wouldn t have been created and business owners wouldn t have reasons
to act

Amphotericin B Research Paper
Sterols are categorized as organic molecules, specifically a lipid. A common trait a lipid has is it is
insoluble to water. The chemical structure includes four carbon fused molecules with an additional
oxygen molecule attached. The most known animal sterol is cholesterol. Cholesterol is fundamental to
the structure of the cell membrane. It also functions as a fat soluble in the body.
In order for amphotericin B to work, there must be sterols present. This is because it is susceptible to
sterols. A bacterial membrane does not contain sterols, which means it can t be used as an agent
against bacterial infection. The antibiotic amphotericin B is an antifungal drug because Fungi have

  • 2. Fighting a War Against Aging of Your Face Essay This is true. I had a friend in Jamaica, somewhere far away. Her age was 44, but everybody thought her 25. Many sought after the secret of her ageless beauty, but few knew the truth. Discipline. That s what it was, cold, hard soldier discipline. A long , tedious, even challenging skin care routine, performed every single night before she went to bed was what did it. In order to take care of your face, you ve got to gather your materials, wash, and moisturize every night. It s like fighting a war, against age and time and brow droops and marionette lines. It s like making peace with your body, detoxing the grease and grime within your pores. It s complicatedly simple, but only one rule rules them all: No slip ups allowed. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Antibacterials used too often leads to resistance, and the last thing you want to be doing is rubbing drug resistant bacteria all over your face. Squirt a generous amount of soap on your hands. Rub. Rub again. Rub until there s a mountain of foam, then sing the happy birthday song. That s right. The happy birthday song, whose timing allows for the soap to do its job and get rid of all the bacteria. Then, turn the tap on to lukewarm. Not hot. Don t want to burn your face. Not cold, either, because cold water will close the pores you re eventually going to scrub. Rinse the bubbles away, then find your facial cleanser. Squirt a dime sized amount. Any bigger, and you run the risk of irritation again. Rub. Rub again. Rub until there s a mountain of foam, then put your hands on your face and rub some more. This is the first march on your face, and you better familiarize yourself and cover every territory, including the hard to reach undersides like the back of your ears and the back of your neck. If your arms hurt from reaching, do not relent. March on. Once you re done rubbing, it s time to start rinsing. Cup the lukewarm water in your hands and attack the foam. Only skin left alive. Washing done. No slip ups allowed. The Charge of Moisture Moisture comes in several steps, mainly because it s vital to skin success. First, locate the clay mask. Now that the pores have been ... • 10. The Topic Of Free Will The topic of free will is an interesting and thought provoking debate. As a child, I always believed that I had freedom to make my own choices, but now I am not so sure. To start, we must first define the term free will. According to the Oxford English Dictionary, free will is spontaneous or unconstrained will or the inclination to act without suggestion from others ( free will ). There are four major views on the topic of free will. One is fatalism which is the view that all things are determined to happen but prior events do not influence these events. Another view, determinism, is the belief that all choices are already established due to prior events. The compatibilist view is one where determinism and free will can coexist. And the last is libertarianism, the belief that we have free will and nothing determines the choices that we make (Class Notes). Philosophers like Barron Holbach (determinists) argue that there is no such thing as free will, while William James (libertarian) and G.E. Moore (compatibilist) beg to differ. I agree with Moore and the compatibilist view. Baron Holbach held the view that we have no free will. He was a materialist and determinist meaning he defended the view that everything is subjected to laws of nature. The view that human beings are subjected to the laws of nature shows that there is no freedom to make choices because we just follow what nature commands of us. Although physical torture is now illegal, it does not stop police from using other methods of psychological deception. One of the most popular methods is showing the suspect falsified or fabricated evidence, otherwise known as a false evidence ploy (FEP). There are three categories: demeanor, testimonial and scientific. A study done in 2007 showed that ninety two percent of a sample of 631 policemen used FEPs to gain a confession (Forrest, 2012). Demeanor FEPs are characterized by the behavior of the suspect and using those assumptions to determine whether or not he or she is guilty. Sayings such as We can tell the way you re acting that you are not innocent and You don t seemed surprised or sad that he is dead show that detectives and police use the suspects appearance and behavior to specify guilt, even though there is no evidence proving it. Testimonial FEPs are one of the most common and consist of eyewitnesses, video surveillance or a co conspirator that puts them at the place and time of the crime. In 2009 Nash and Wade conducted a study showing the power behind this kind of FEP. The populists fed off of many different issues that led to their rise and impact, with one of the main issues being the call for ownership of railroads for farmers which will make it easier for farmers to go from their crop to the market but the thing is that it has to be low cost (Eric foner, 653). With the party calling for low cost rails, they gained the trust of the farmers, saving the process of going back and forth which cost them large amounts of money. With the decrease in prices, the farmers do not have to spend as much as they were before, which in result would grant them the ability to be able to invest more in their crop. One of the other reasons the populists rose to prominence was the fact that even though they were not as popular on the national level, they were trying to unite black and white farmers on both economic and political program (Eric foner, 654). With them even trying to unite these two races it showed that they were listening to the people s problems. The main reason the populist party collapsed was during the 1896 campaign of the nomination of William Bryan for president with their program being reduced to free silver (Eric foner, 657). This caused a massive influx of immigrants to New York City who were forced to settle for the cheapest and shabbiest lodgings in a poorer area of the city, known as Five Points. These kinds of conditions resulted in dirty, overcrowded spaces with relatively poor standards of living. The bigger the bank the lower the rates they can afford to offer. In theory, that plan should work, but banks are greedy and when a bank dominates the field they charge the highest rates they can because they can. In the textbook ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
