The Debate Of Personal Privacy On Internet
With the rapid development of information technology, people have been entering the information
age, and almost people have one computer. But recent years, more and more people find their
privacy information which was stored in their computer is easily to be lost or snooped, it makes
them feel very insecure. We all know that each computer has its own unique physical information,
such as IP address which is the useful basic information of computer, subnet mask and also can track
a computer by detecting the DNS (Domain Name System). These physical information are very
useful, it can help police to solve case, and also has many negative influence to people life. The
debate of personal privacy on internet is very drastic, particularly recent ... Show more content on

The first of them is the case of craigslist killer who name's Philip Markoff. He was charged as teief
and murder because of the tragedy was happened in 2009. During April 10 to April 16 in 2009, there
were three cases of robbing and one of them was murder. (ABC news May 4,2009) The common
points of these three cases were that all of these three victims were advertised on Craigslist for
pornographic services. Firstly, police used video surveillance to find the image of the criminal, and
then traced the disposable phone which was used to call the victims, finally, police used the e–mail
address to traced the IP address of Philip Markoff. Ultimately find his location and gather useful
evidences at his home. There is another big case which was called as 2008 Ahmedabad blasts. That
was a big disaster to Ahmedabad, India and Gujarat, and the number of bomb blasts was 21. The
origin of the disaster was the e–mail warning from a terror outfit which called Indian Mujahideen.
Immediately, police traced mails and try to arrest criminals quickly. However, that was hard because
the terrorists used the unsecured WIFI router to sent mails, that was hard to find out the MAC
address of the criminals. Finally, police still traced out the original IP address and raided the
Haywood's residence before the Ahmedabad serial blasts. (Times of India, August 2008 ) Besides of
IP address, there are too many ways that help police to solve the case. The most sensational

Control Your Destiny or Someone Else Will

Control Your Destiny or Someone Else Will
(p.4) Workers who share their employer's goals don't need much supervision. Control your destiny,

everyone. Don't manage, lead. Change before you have to. If you don't have a competitive

Ambitious GE managers kept their ties knotted and their mouths shut. The mounting expense of this
bureaucracy was a major reason GE became a high–cost producer, vulnerable to foreign
competition. The complex interaction of GE's culture, organization, and bureaucracy created a
symphony of not–so–subtle signals that taught GEers how to behave. But as Jones realized, behavior
that has been appropriate in 1878––or even 1978––might prove disastrous in the 1980s. In an
attempt to ensure fair treatment of its workers, GE had assigned all employees to one of twenty–nine
civil service style levels of rank.
By counting Jim's ceiling squares, visitors could calculate the footage of his office, and thus his
status in the hierarchy, that told the executives whether to grovel before Jim or boss him around.
(p.41) The money helped, but ultimately Edison lost his job. The investors forced Edison out,
replacing him with a former show salesman named Charles Coffin. In 1892, Coffin reorganized the
burgeoning portfolio of business under his command into the General Electric Company. Coffin.
Coffin became known as the father of professional management. (p.44) He also ordered a massive
reorganization of GE, based on decentralization. Cordiner broke up the company's operations into
departments, each small enough, in the CEO's phrase... By 1968 the company had 190

The, Not All A Dream
The speaker begins his poem as a "dream" but "not all a dream" (line 1), immediately casting doubt
upon the story to follow. The poet then imagines the end of the world through a series of natural,
social, and possibly supernatural events. The sad/dark, cold earth reduces/lessens for weeks or
months, long enough for men to "forget their strong emotions" (line 7) and turn their hearts only to
survival or feelings that there is no hope. To stop/hold back the darkness, they burn everything they
can, including their homes. Both palaces and huts are burned to give light and warmth. Around the
fires, men are at first glad to see other faces––but then they see in those faces such feelings that
there is no hope that they begin to cry, smile (in a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Wal-Mart International Failure

Starting from scratch 14 years ago, Wal–Mart International has grown into a $63 billion business. It
is the fastest–growing part of Wal–Mart, with nearly 30 percent sales growth in June, compared with
the same month last year. Even subtracting one–time gains from acquisitions, it grew at nearly 12
percent, about double the rate of Wal–Mart's American stores. Sustaining that pace is critical for
Wal–Mart, because high fuel prices have helped sap the buying power of Americans. In June, store
traffic in its home market declined. Wal–Mart estimated that its sales in the United States in stores

The Chimney Sweeper Compare And Contrast
The amazing aspect of art is that it has the ability to record history, especially the difficulty or strong
emotion of it. The Chimney Sweeper by William Blake, written in 1789 and again in 1794, provides
a reflection of a time of harsh, child labor. Written five years apart, the two poems have similarities
and differences that are observable through techniques Blake uses such as, imagery, diction, tone,
mood, theme, rhyme, size, and point of view.
Now, the similarities shall be discussed. Firstly, the use of imagery in both versions display pictures
of darkness, nature, brightness, and happiness. For example, the 1789 version states in line 8, "You
know the soot cannot spoil your white hair," which is parallel to line 1 of the 1794 version, "A little
black thing among the snow." Both give an image of black contrasting white: white hair and soot;
soot and snow. Likewise, the 1789 version says, "Then down a green plain, leaping, laughing, they
run," (Line 15), and the 1794 version says "And smil'd among the winter's snow," (Line 9). The two
lines share the picture of happiness, more specifically, happiness in nature. Secondly, the use of
diction, tone, and mood of the poems are similar because they are simplistic, depressing, lonesome,
and sometimes cheerful. This is evident in the 1789 poem through words like: died, spoil, night,
black, free, white, good, joy, dark, and harm, and in the 1794 poem through words like: black, gone,
happy, snow, death, woe, and misery. As you

Toni Morrison Analysis Essay
For centuries, poetry has remained an effective method of expressing ones' emotions and aesthetics
without excessive criticism. Some distinguished individuals participated in this literary exercise and
despite their motives, they acquired the profound ability to empathize with their audiences'
ambitions, fears, and misfortunes. During the lamentable times of racial and economic turmoil, a
brilliant woman named Toni Morrison was introduced into this world and would later be a
remarkable influence on literature. Proactively, she channeled her frustrations and fears of racial
prejudice into her literary works, earning an admirable reputation for her bravery of discussing
sensitive topics regarding racial prejudice and injustices. Likewise, ... Show more content on

For instance, Morrison elaborates on the adjective "unbidden" (Morrison, line 6) by including a
simile, "Like the turn of sun through hills" (Morrison, line 7) as a result not only does she clarify her
adjectives, but she also establishes a spontaneous and jovial tone she maintains throughout the
poem. Although Morrison is aware of life's relentless issues that ultimately prevent this illustration
from being possible, she subtly encourages her audience to aspire to establish a similar mindset.
Correspondingly, Morrison explores the latter aspect of her theme in her poem "Someone Leans
Near" In contrast to "It Comes Unadorned", "Someone Leans Near" is significantly more somber as
it likely depicts one's fearful moments prior to their death. Morrison establishes a distressed tone as
she begins her poem, illustrating the protagonist as despondent from experiencing something ghastly
as well as a supernatural entity which correlates with the "Someone" mentioned in the title.
Unfortunately, the poem does not explicitly mention the living status of the protagonist or whether
or not the entity is a figment of the protagonist's imagination. The protagonist is portrayed as
depressed and lonely, shedding "salt [from their] eyes" (Morrison, line 2) desperately in need of
"words of reason, love or play" (Morrison, line 4) In addition, the pessimistic allegories further
establish the protagonist as distant, and the audience can empathize with the protagonist's

The internationalisation of Tesco – new frontiers and new problems
Neil Wrigley, Michelle Lowe and Katherine Cudworth
Tesco's international expansion until 2010 had seemed like a complete success despite the odd
hiccough. This case re–examines Tesco's internationalisation in the context of harsher economic
conditions, using a comparison of its operations in South Korea and the USA to draw out important
strategic dimensions of the retail internationalisation process. It also explores the organisational
consequences of that process for the firm, particularly when it is perceived to threaten the home
market performance of the retailer.
●
In May 2013, Tesco, the UK's largest retailer and private sector employer of labour, announced
annual sales for 2012–13 of £72 billion (~ $109bn ~ CSSbn),1 barely changed from the previous
year. Profits were £3.4bn, down from £3.8 billion the year before. For Philip Clarke, Tesco's CEO
since 2011, this was his second set of disappointing annual results. Sales across Europe were flat,
and the company had had to decide at the end of 2012 to exit Tesco's business in the United States.
The main source of encouragement seemed to be Tesco's growing Asian business. Philip Clarke
declared: 'Building an international business, even when the global headwinds work

The Death Of A Toad By Richard Wilbur
Death is final, sudden and yet eternal it yawns before and behind us all. In "The Death of a Toad" by
Richard Wilbur, he show's his response to death through the final moments of a toad caught in a
lawnmower. He uses imagery to bring attention to each important detail in the last moments of life
while purposefully ignoring others, and diction, to choose certain words describing its journey after
its demise.
Death both ends life and brings it into sharp clarity, for the unfortunate toad what is brought into
clarity is used to demonstrate what is important in death. The actual cause of death is unimportant to
the toad for example, the "power mower caught" (Wilbur, line 1) the toad's leg and while it "chewed
and clipped" (Wilbur, line 2) the actual mower is not described further.
This is because the mechanism of death does not truly matter to the toad or the author, death is
inevitable and the mower is simply accepted as what happened to be the deliverer to that end.
The next use of imagery is the "final glade" (Wilbur, line 6) where the toad will come to rest for the
last time. It hops to a place "Under the cineraria leaves, in the shade of the ashen heart shaped
leaves" (Wilbur, line 45) which is more detailed than anything before it. More important than the
injury or even the machine that eventually kills it is the final resting place, meaning the location of
death and what that location means to the person dying is more important than the act itself. This is
where the toad

Compare And Contrast Anne Bradstreet And Edward Taylor
Anne Bradstreet and Edward Taylor are two poets who are puritans. They are able to use writing and
language to portray their ideas on G–d and religion. Upon the Burning of Our House, July 10th,
1666 by Bradstreet and Huswifery by Taylor are similar in the sense that G–d is always a part of
their poems, whether it's direct or through the use of complex writing. Through the use of language
and metaphors, Bradstreet conveys that a connection with G–d could be strengthened through
destruction while Taylor reveals that a connection can be reinforced through creation.
Edward Taylor uses a housewife who is creating a garment from thread as a symbol of creating a
relationship with G–d. Throughout the poem, the reader sees metaphors in the text that ... Show

At first she calls on G–d to "strengthen me in my distress" (line 9). Then the narrator begins to think
that "It was His own, it was not mine" (like 17) which shows that she's beginning to accept what
happened. This was all in G–d's plan; it was predetermined. The narrator goes on to say "Adieu,
adieu, all's vanity" (line 36). This is a very materialistic phrase. However, in the next stanza, the
narrator says that she is the one in the wrong for straying from G–d. The realization of the
connection she has developed to material objects brings on a reflecting of how she ever strayed from
G–d since there is nothing to count on except G–d. In the last stanza, the narrator says, "My hope
and treasure lies above" (line 54). Everything that the narrator needs is in heaven. While she may
seem a little resentful, she is able to accept the destruction of her house and turn it into love for G–d.
The idea of predestination makes an appearance again as the narrator knows that this is what G–d
wanted. G–d is all that she has left now since she lost all of her material wealth along with
everything

In 1534, the Portuguese appropriated the islands from Bahadur Shah of Gujarat. They were ceded to
Charles II of England in 1661, as dowry for Catherine de Braganza.
The population quickly rose from 10,000 in 1661, to 60,000 in 1675. In 1687, the British East India
Company transferred its headquarters from Surat to Mumbai. The city eventually became the
headquarters of the Bombay Presidency. The opening of the Suez Canal in 1869 transformed
Bombay into one of the largest seaports on the Arabian Sea. Over the next thirty years, the city grew
into a major urban centre, spurred by an improvement in infrastructure and the construction of many
of the city's institutions. The population of the city swelled to one million by 1906, making it the
second largest in India after Calcutta.
As capital of the Bombay Presidency, it was a major base for the Indian independence movement,
with the Quit India Movement called by Mahatma Gandhi in 1942 being its most rubric event. After
India's independence in 1947, it became the capital of Bombay State.
In the 1950 the city expanded to its present limits by incorporating parts of Salsette island which lay
to the north. The late 1970s witnessed a construction boom and a significant influx of migrants,
which saw Mumbai overtake Kolkata as India's most populous city. This influx caused unrest among
local Maharashtrians who worried about the loss of culture, jobs,

Let Me Die
Let Me Die – I Want Eternity In May Miller's Poem "Death is not Master" the persona explains that
death is not the master that will increase desperation, but it is a way to become eternally calm. Many
poems on the topic of death explain how it is as powerful of a thing that fears the existence of
human beings, but Miller's persona death is used in such way to achieve eternal serenity. She
explains death as something that can end all the worlds' tears, desires and tension and transform the
human memory into a sculpture which is unaware of tensions. Miller's persona believes that by
blocking death it will be unfair as it will be a barrier to the everlasting happiness and calmness that
lies inside the grave. It is an elaboration of Christian beliefs of how death ends all worldly problems
as an eternal life starts after the death. The eternal life of a human or corpse after death is same as
that of 'sculpture' which shines at night and remains in one place free of all tensions and problems.
As the life after death is full of calmness and happiness, so it must not be blocked and everyone
must welcome it to gain the everlasting lasting life. Thus, conveying Miller's idea of how the
perspective death is not the master; instead, it is the slave of eternal life of serenity and calmness
that lies ahead. So, no one should try to become a barrier by blocking the death. Repetition of 'you'
six times and 'I' three times symbolizes the relationship between 'I' and 'You' who love each other

The beginnings and ends of what we choose to call centuries are almost invariably years of little
significance. But there is little agreement over when the twentieth century c.e. arrived, and there
were several points both before the year 2000 (the collapse of the Soviet Union, the reunification of
Germany, the surge of globalization from the mid–1990s) and afterward (9/11, or the global
recession of 2008) when one could quite plausibly argue that a new era had begun. A compelling
case can be made for viewing the decades of the global scramble for colonies after 1870 as a
predictable culmination of the long nineteenth century, which was ushered in by the industrial and
political revolutions of the late 1700s. But at the same time, without serious attention to the
processes and misguided policies that led to decades of agrarian and industrial depression from the
late 1860s to the 1890s, as well as the social tensions and political rivalries that generated and were
in turn fed by imperialist expansionism, one cannot begin to comprehend the causes and
consequences of the Great War that began in 1914. That conflict determined the contours of the
twentieth century in myriad ways. On the one hand, the war set in motion transformative processes
that were clearly major departures from those that defined the nineteenth–century world order. On

How Is Virtual Store Different From Online Shopping?
1. How is virtual store different from online shopping? How is it similar to online shopping?
Virtual stores are physical stores that shoppers attend in person, usually are set up in public spaces,
subways and bus stops with high traffic and frequented daily by tech–savvy commuters. Shoppers
browse the store as they would in a normal shop, but rather than picking up the items and placing
them in the basket, they touch the screen or scan the barcode with their smartphones and scrolling
through the unique moving screens on large virtual fridges to add them to their list. Then the
products are delivered to their home. The idea is that shopping can be done on the way to work and
then have it delivered at home that evening which is missing in online shopping.
While online shopping (sometimes known as e–tail from "electronic retail" or e–shopping) is a form
of electronic commerce which allows customers to buy goods directly or services from a seller

To begin with, train stations are the most promising locations in London for Tesco virtual stores.
According to the 2010 National Travel Survey, 84% of the U.K's 1.3 billion annual rail trips were on
weekdays, with 51% of trips being for commuting. In addition, 59% of all rail journeys in the UK

find convenience in a virtual store located in the train station.
Customers could shop at Tesco while waiting for their train to arrive. Easy virtual online store

The result was an increase in inventories and severe cutbacks in production at a number of
electronics, automobile, and textile manufacturers, as well as at the smaller firms that supplied the
parts. Factory automation systems were introduced to reduce dependence on labor, to boost
productivity with a much smaller work force, and to improve competitiveness. It was estimated that
over two–thirds of South Korea's manufacturers spent over half of the funds available for facility
investments on automation.
Rapid growth from 1960s to 1980s
South Korea's real gross domestic product expanded by an average of more than 8 percent per year,
from US$2.7 billion in 1962[16] to US$230 billion in 1989,[17] breaking the trillion dollar mark in
2007. Nominal GDP per capita grew from $103.88 in 1962[18] to $5,438.24 in 1989,[19] reaching
the $20,000 milestone in 2007. The manufacturing sector grew from 14.3 percent of the GNP in
1962 to 30.3 percent in 1987. Commodity trade volume rose from US$480 million in 1962 to a
projected US$127.9 billion in 1990. The ratio of domestic savings to GNP grew from 3.3 percent in
1962 to 35.8 percent in 1989.
The most significant factor in rapid industrialization was the adoption of an outward–looking
strategy in the early 1960s. This strategy was particularly well suited to that

Robert Lee Frost Analysis
Robert Lee Frost was conceived in San Francisco, March 26. He was one of America's premier
twentieth century writers and won the Pulitzer Prize four times. In spite of the fact that his verse
shapes are old–style, he was an innovator in the interaction of meter and rhyme and in the wonderful
utilization of the vocabulary and emphases of how everybody speaks today. His work is full of
nature and is very touching. Two of Robert Lee Frosts supreme and popular poems that I will be
working with are "The Road Not Taken" and "Stopping by Woods on A Snowy Evening". In the
poems "Road not taken" and "Stopping by woods on a snowy evening" Robert Frost explains that
both depict how to take choices in life a circumstance where he needs to pick between two ways in
that will affect his life forever.
In "The Road Not Taken" the writer in the sonnet is voyaging and comes at the spot from where the
road is isolated into two. Here he needs to choose which way he needs to go for eventual fate of his
life. The goals of both pathways are obscure. Yet, the poet needs to pick one of them as he can't
choose both roads at once. Utilizing "yellow wood" (line 1) as a representative signal to seniority
moving toward quick, his definitive decision will endure for what he will have to live with for the
rest of his life. Moving toward older age comes with the acknowledgment of the truth, it's an ideal
opportunity to say goodbye to dreams and expectations. "Then took the other, as just as fair and
having perhaps the better claim" (line 6–7). The poet appears to be indecisive here. But, he has
settled on a choice, he is still constantly thinking about it. On the outline, both roads strike as
comparative, with no apparent difference. As a result, his absence of activity and uncertainty causes
him enormous distress and delay. "Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever
come back" (line 14–15). The poet endeavors to persuade himself with little achievement, verging
on daydreaming. He induces himself that if one road ends up being unsatisfactory, he would have
the capacity to offer reparation and pick the other road. In any case, looking back, he's completely
mindful that his decision will impact him in his later years

Because I couldn’t stop for death by Emily Dickson and...
First of all, based on both poems, the attitude of the poets is influenced by the diction of the poems
as well as tone and mood. In Emily Dickinson's poem, in line 1, 2 "Because I couldn't stop for death
–He kindly stopped for me" the word "death" delivers a positive mood as the speaker seems respect
and awe death. Moreover, death is portrayed as a phenomenon that is beyond ‎
human's control.
Death has its own control; it is something that human cannot decide themselves but only death can
do stop for human, invite them into its carriage, not vice versa. In ‎
addition, the word "kindly" in the
line presents calmness to the readers as death is not something that human should scare off. Besides,
the word "slowly" and the phrase "no haste" in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, in contrast to Emily's poem, the speaker undervalues death's supremacy as its power is
actually not in its own control. It is a contradictory to Emily's poem. In line 9 "Thou'art slave to fate,
chance, kings, and desperate men" indicates death as a slave as it does what has been ordered from
the superior ones. Death takes human's life not because he is willing to do so but because he is
forced to do so. In line 10–11, "And dost with poison, war and sickness... can make us sleep as well"
the speaker associates death with poison, war and sickness as death is not the only factor of human's
deceases which then the speaker posts rhetorical question for death to stop being proud. Also, the
usage of rhetorical questions like in line 2 "For thou art not so" makes death fragile. Further, the last
line in this poem "And death shall be no more; Death, thou shalt die" points out that at the end, the
only one who dies is death itself which will be discussed in the element of Christian theology in this
essay. The ending also eventually argues that death is weak and vulnerable, not in control and that is
the reason why human should not fear death. All the arguments made by the speaker in this poem
creates death less powerful and less control of itself which illustrates a condescending tone to
elucidate death's incapability to kill. Hence, both poets; Emily Dickinson and John Donne portray
death as a phenomenon that human should not fear. But

The City Of Seoul, Korea
Seoul, Korea is a significant globally influential city that has both a vast and profound history. The
city's establishment dates back over 600 years ago. From the depths of its physical and cultural
development to its present prominence in the financial world, the city is an excellent example in
defining and understanding the cities of today. The manners in which the city's infrastructures and
population interact with one another can also be explained through the lenses of an urban
sociological perspective to help further the understand of many different aspects that define
metropolitan life. From the various turmoil to the dramatic increase in development of the city life
establishment, the city of Seoul sets itself apart from many as an interesting city.
In its earlier days, Seoul was known as Han Yang. The city dates back to the year 1394, where the
Chosun/Joseson Dynasty recognized it as the new capital (Ko, 2005). Shortly after the city was
established, the Fortress Wall of Seoul was constructed, which was a circular wall made from
various stones, sticks and other materials that enclosed the capital. The wall was assembled not only
to define the boundaries of the new land, but also for security and operational purposes (UNESCO).
The purpose of the gate was also a way for the dynasty to signify and set itself apart as a separate
entity from the rest of the land. By 1405, the city was officially acknowledged as the capital location
– the establishment of Han Yang

Rhetorical Analysis Of Elizabeth Bishop 's One Art
"One Art" is a villanelle filled with sad sentiments of encouragement towards accepting loss.
Elizabeth Bishop uses her tone to pull emotions from the reader that could be confusion and
disagreement. Her tone deeply impacts the reader in such a way that it causes him/her to seriously
think of accepting her opinion and advice. The capturing way she uses her tone in her word choice
shows the reader her natural inflexion when she speaks. The tone of her work even affects her
characterization. In "One Art," Elizabeth Bishop uses tone to convey a character of false casualty,
while also using it to emphasize the very heavy impact of her diction. In the first lines of "One Art,"
Bishop's tone is that of a melancholy nature. She states that "losing isn't hard to master" (line 1). She
follows this by proclaiming that everything intends to "be lost" from the beginning, so disaster
should not be felt when those losses take place (line 3). Erin Christian talks somewhat of this in her
essay, "On Loss in Elizabeth Bishop's 'One Art'." One may infer that Bishop's tone, in these lines,
reflects this opinion of easiness with the rhyming of the word "master" with "disaster" (Christian
541). This style is used in a villanelle to be rigid and almost unplanned, which reflects the tone of
Bishop's words in that her opinions and statements throughout are rather unfocused or disorganized.
The way that she encourages her readers to "lose something every day" is, in her view, a way to get
used to the

Clues to the True Meaning of “Sestina” by Elizabeth Bishop
A sestina is a fixed form of six stanzas that end with an envoi, an address to an imagined or real
subject. This particular form of "Sestina" by Elizabeth Bishop takes you through one particular
afternoon of a grandmother and her grandchild. Though the poem itself is ambiguous, Bishop
foreshadows the grandmother's demise throughout the entirety of the poem. The five words
almanac, grandmother, tears, stove, and house are used at the end of each line for the six stanzas and
envoi. They are clues as to figuring out the meaning of the poem. However, they are not the only
clues as symbolism is the main usage of figurative language. The speaker is assumed to be Elizabeth
Bishop but even she has written the poem in a way that reflects that of an outside observer to
obscure the poem even further. To start off the analysis, the setting of the entire poem is significant.
Though the poem takes place in a house, the atmosphere the house is set in is also important. The
month is September which is a month of fall which can be seen as a symbol for decline. It definitely
insinuates that the poem is leading towards death. Line 1 has "September rain falls on the house"
which gives the feeling of a dark and cold night with a storm on top of that. To further develop that,
Bishop gives us the failing light in line 2 to also give us an idea of the grandmother's struggle.
Bishop uses the cyclical theme of changing seasons to show the unending nature of what is
transpiring within the

An Analysis of “Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night”
An analysis of "Do Not Go Gentle into That Good Night" This poem was written by Dylan Thomas
who had been acknowledged as one of the most important Welsh poets of the 20th century. The
poem is a son's plea to his dying father. Thomas shows four different kinds of people in four stanzas
– wise men, good men, wild men and grave men so as to encourage his father to fight against death
rather than to accept in silence. The tone used in the poem is passionate and intense. "Rage, rage
against the dying of the light" (line 3) is an attitude the old is supposed to hold. "Old age should
burn and rave at close of day" (line 2) is exactly the theme that the poet wants to pass on. Though
wise men at their end know dark ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
"Blind eyes could blaze like meteors" (line 14) This is a metaphor that means grave men never
distinguish their hope and always hold a passionate attitude towards life. A disabled person still can
fight against the doom. Why healthy people give in to death? In the last stanza, the poet points out
that this poem is particularly written for his dying father. "Curse, bless, me now with your fierce
tears, I pray."(line 17) In this sentence, "curse", "bless", "fierce" and "tears" all have the rhyme "s"
which makes the tone soft–sounding. Thomas begs his father to die with anger, not humility.
Whatever the ways, the curse or bless, the poet can bear it so long as his father not surrender to
death. This poem is structured in a form called villanelle, which has 19 lines long, but only uses two
rhymes. In this poem, "night", "light", "right", "bright", "flight", "sight" and "sight" all end with "t"
sound and "day", "they", "bay", "way", "gay" and "pray" all end with "ei" sound. The rhythm of this
poem follows as "aba, aba, aba, aba, aba, abaa". Moreover, it is clear to see that first five stanzas are
triples and last stanza is a quatrain, which is also another standard of villanelle. There are two
refrains in the poem. "Do not go gentle into that good night." (line 1) is repeated in line 6, line 12
and line 18. "Rage, rage against the dying of the light." (line 3)is repeated in line 9, line 15 and line

The Emotional Analysis Of Migraine By Twenty-One Pilots
Migraine, while it's usually known as super painful headache, ask a teenager and they will probably
say it's a hit song from the Ohio based synthpop, rap rock, indie rock, and yes even reggae, band
Twenty–One Pilots. Underneath the techno beat and flying piano notes, are lyrics with a deeper
meaning. The excellent lyricist, Tyler Joseph, in a spit–fire fashion, confronts many prevalent
feelings and struggles. Within the song, Tyler Joseph attacks his brain, that keeps sending him
depressing, and pessimistic thoughts. This song uses many allegories represented by literal images.
"Migraine"by Twenty–One Pilots is a unique song that puts a voice to the battles of the mind; it has
a riveting theme, complex setting, and an intriguing style.
Furthermore, the theme of this song is Tyler's migraine, although it seems like a simple concept his
migraine is due to his overworking head. In the song, Tyler sings" (Line 12) let it be said what this
headache represents it's me defending in suspense ...(line 16) that's best represented by my
depressing thoughts",and ( line 32). "something you won't forget its all about my forehead" ( line 33
) it's a door that holds back contents". He also sings in the very beginning of the song (Line 1); " Am
I the only one I know ( line 2 ) waging my wars behind my face and above my throat." If you know
anything about anatomy you will know he is referring to his brain. The overarching theme of this
catchy song is the battles of the brain, which of course is best represented by the migraine.
Schizophrenic pop is what some people may label this duo; it makes sense for this song. The setting
bounces around everywhere. There is a significant amount geographical settings within this song,
there is also a gigantic amount of literal imagery as well. Here are a few examples; (line 28)"Pardon
my yelling and telling you green gardens! (line 29) are not what's growing in my psyche!", (line 35)
and "behind my eyelids are islands of violence." (line 36) "My mind's shipwrecked it's the only
island my mind could find."(line 37) I did not know it was such a violent island." (line 38) "Full of
tidal waves and suicidal craved lions", (line 39) "they're trying to eat me blood running down their

The Debate Of Personal Privacy On Internet

  • 1. The Debate Of Personal Privacy On Internet With the rapid development of information technology, people have been entering the information age, and almost people have one computer. But recent years, more and more people find their privacy information which was stored in their computer is easily to be lost or snooped, it makes them feel very insecure. We all know that each computer has its own unique physical information, such as IP address which is the useful basic information of computer, subnet mask and also can track a computer by detecting the DNS (Domain Name System). These physical information are very useful, it can help police to solve case, and also has many negative influence to people life. The debate of personal privacy on internet is very drastic, particularly recent ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The first of them is the case of craigslist killer who name's Philip Markoff. He was charged as teief and murder because of the tragedy was happened in 2009. During April 10 to April 16 in 2009, there were three cases of robbing and one of them was murder. (ABC news May 4,2009) The common points of these three cases were that all of these three victims were advertised on Craigslist for pornographic services. Firstly, police used video surveillance to find the image of the criminal, and then traced the disposable phone which was used to call the victims, finally, police used the e–mail address to traced the IP address of Philip Markoff. Ultimately find his location and gather useful evidences at his home. There is another big case which was called as 2008 Ahmedabad blasts. That was a big disaster to Ahmedabad, India and Gujarat, and the number of bomb blasts was 21. The origin of the disaster was the e–mail warning from a terror outfit which called Indian Mujahideen. Immediately, police traced mails and try to arrest criminals quickly. However, that was hard because the terrorists used the unsecured WIFI router to sent mails, that was hard to find out the MAC address of the criminals. Finally, police still traced out the original IP address and raided the Haywood's residence before the Ahmedabad serial blasts. (Times of India, August 2008 ) Besides of IP address, there are too many ways that help police to solve the case. The most sensational ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Control Your Destiny or Someone Else Will (p.4) Workers who share their employer's goals don't need much supervision. Control your destiny, or someone else will. Face reality as it is, not as it was or as you wish it were. Be candid with everyone. Don't manage, lead. Change before you have to. If you don't have a competitive advantage, don't compete. Ambitious GE managers kept their ties knotted and their mouths shut. The mounting expense of this bureaucracy was a major reason GE became a high–cost producer, vulnerable to foreign competition. The complex interaction of GE's culture, organization, and bureaucracy created a symphony of not–so–subtle signals that taught GEers how to behave. But as Jones realized, behavior that has been appropriate in 1878––or even 1978––might prove disastrous in the 1980s. In an attempt to ensure fair treatment of its workers, GE had assigned all employees to one of twenty–nine civil service style levels of rank. By counting Jim's ceiling squares, visitors could calculate the footage of his office, and thus his status in the hierarchy, that told the executives whether to grovel before Jim or boss him around. (p.41) The money helped, but ultimately Edison lost his job. The investors forced Edison out, replacing him with a former show salesman named Charles Coffin. In 1892, Coffin reorganized the burgeoning portfolio of business under his command into the General Electric Company. Coffin. Coffin became known as the father of professional management. (p.44) He also ordered a massive reorganization of GE, based on decentralization. Cordiner broke up the company's operations into departments, each small enough, in the CEO's phrase... • 3. The, Not All A Dream The speaker begins his poem as a "dream" but "not all a dream" (line 1), immediately casting doubt upon the story to follow. The poet then imagines the end of the world through a series of natural, social, and possibly supernatural events. The sad/dark, cold earth reduces/lessens for weeks or months, long enough for men to "forget their strong emotions" (line 7) and turn their hearts only to survival or feelings that there is no hope. To stop/hold back the darkness, they burn everything they can, including their homes. Both palaces and huts are burned to give light and warmth. Around the fires, men are at first glad to see other faces––but then they see in those faces such feelings that there is no hope that they begin to cry, smile (in a ... Once the fire is bright enough, the two men look at one another, seeing each other 's terrible, scary, starving face; what each man sees frightens him to death, this way ending the human race. With people gone forever, the earth becomes a dead rock. The moon, long since destroyed, no longer moves the waves or wind, so all is totally still upon the planet. Darkness wins (by force) all: "She was the Universe" (line 82). Analysis Byron wrote "Darkness" in July–August 1816. The poem is at least partly influenced by the mass panic/very strong emotion of the time brought about by an Italian astronomer 's (statement about a possible future event) that the sun would burn itself out on July 18th, this way destroying the world. Wal-Mart International Failure WIESBADEN, Germany, July 31 – Three days after Wal–Mart Stores announced that it would pull out of Germany, Roland Kögel was wandering through the aisles of a somewhat threadbare Wal– Mart in a strip mall in this western German city. Starting from scratch 14 years ago, Wal–Mart International has grown into a $63 billion business. It is the fastest–growing part of Wal–Mart, with nearly 30 percent sales growth in June, compared with the same month last year. Even subtracting one–time gains from acquisitions, it grew at nearly 12 percent, about double the rate of Wal–Mart's American stores. Sustaining that pace is critical for Wal–Mart, because high fuel prices have helped sap the buying power of Americans. In June, store traffic in its home market declined. Wal–Mart estimated that its sales in the United States in stores open at least one year would increase only 1 percent to 3 percent in July. Multimedia {draw:a} Related Retail Chains Scramble to Enter Indian Market (August 2, 2006) Wal–Mart Germany, with 85 stores and $2.5 billion in sales, is almost a footnote for a company focused on Asia and Latin America. But the problems it encountered here have echoes elsewhere. For example, it never established comfortable relations with its German labor unions. "They didn't understand that in Germany, companies and unions are closely connected," Mr. Poschmann said. "Bentonville didn't want to have anything to do with unions. They thought we were communists." Ms. Keck said Wal– Mart did cultivate good relations with the leaders of the works' council, which ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. The Chimney Sweeper Compare And Contrast The amazing aspect of art is that it has the ability to record history, especially the difficulty or strong emotion of it. The Chimney Sweeper by William Blake, written in 1789 and again in 1794, provides a reflection of a time of harsh, child labor. Written five years apart, the two poems have similarities and differences that are observable through techniques Blake uses such as, imagery, diction, tone, mood, theme, rhyme, size, and point of view. Now, the similarities shall be discussed. Firstly, the use of imagery in both versions display pictures of darkness, nature, brightness, and happiness. For example, the 1789 version states in line 8, "You know the soot cannot spoil your white hair," which is parallel to line 1 of the 1794 version, "A little black thing among the snow." Both give an image of black contrasting white: white hair and soot; soot and snow. Likewise, the 1789 version says, "Then down a green plain, leaping, laughing, they run," (Line 15), and the 1794 version says "And smil'd among the winter's snow," (Line 9). The two lines share the picture of happiness, more specifically, happiness in nature. Secondly, the use of diction, tone, and mood of the poems are similar because they are simplistic, depressing, lonesome, and sometimes cheerful. This is evident in the 1789 poem through words like: died, spoil, night, black, free, white, good, joy, dark, and harm, and in the 1794 poem through words like: black, gone, happy, snow, death, woe, and misery. • 6. Toni Morrison Analysis Essay For centuries, poetry has remained an effective method of expressing ones' emotions and aesthetics without excessive criticism. Some distinguished individuals participated in this literary exercise and despite their motives, they acquired the profound ability to empathize with their audiences' ambitions, fears, and misfortunes. During the lamentable times of racial and economic turmoil, a brilliant woman named Toni Morrison was introduced into this world and would later be a remarkable influence on literature. Proactively, she channeled her frustrations and fears of racial prejudice into her literary works, earning an admirable reputation for her bravery of discussing sensitive topics regarding racial prejudice and injustices. Likewise, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For instance, Morrison elaborates on the adjective "unbidden" (Morrison, line 6) by including a simile, "Like the turn of sun through hills" (Morrison, line 7) as a result not only does she clarify her adjectives, but she also establishes a spontaneous and jovial tone she maintains throughout the poem. Although Morrison is aware of life's relentless issues that ultimately prevent this illustration from being possible, she subtly encourages her audience to aspire to establish a similar mindset. Correspondingly, Morrison explores the latter aspect of her theme in her poem "Someone Leans Near" In contrast to "It Comes Unadorned", "Someone Leans Near" is significantly more somber as it likely depicts one's fearful moments prior to their death. Morrison establishes a distressed tone as she begins her poem, illustrating the protagonist as despondent from experiencing something ghastly as well as a supernatural entity which correlates with the "Someone" mentioned in the title. Unfortunately, the poem does not explicitly mention the living status of the protagonist or whether or not the entity is a figment of the protagonist's imagination. The protagonist is portrayed as depressed and lonely, shedding "salt [from their] eyes" (Morrison, line 2) desperately in need of "words of reason, love or play" (Morrison, line 4) In addition, the pessimistic allegories further establish the protagonist as distant, and the audience can empathize with the protagonist's ... This case re–examines Tesco's internationalisation in the context of harsher economic conditions, using a comparison of its operations in South Korea and the USA to draw out important strategic dimensions of the retail internationalisation process. It also explores the organisational consequences of that process for the firm, particularly when it is perceived to threaten the home market performance of the retailer. ● In May 2013, Tesco, the UK's largest retailer and private sector employer of labour, announced annual sales for 2012–13 of £72 billion (~ $109bn ~ CSSbn),1 barely changed from the previous year. Profits were £3.4bn, down from £3.8 billion the year before. For Philip Clarke, Tesco's CEO since 2011, this was his second set of disappointing annual results. Sales across Europe were flat, and the company had had to decide at the end of 2012 to exit Tesco's business in the United States. The main source of encouragement seemed to be Tesco's growing Asian business. Philip Clarke declared: 'Building an international business, even when the global headwinds work

  • 10. The Death Of A Toad By Richard Wilbur Death is final, sudden and yet eternal it yawns before and behind us all. In "The Death of a Toad" by Richard Wilbur, he show's his response to death through the final moments of a toad caught in a lawnmower. He uses imagery to bring attention to each important detail in the last moments of life while purposefully ignoring others, and diction, to choose certain words describing its journey after its demise. Death both ends life and brings it into sharp clarity, for the unfortunate toad what is brought into clarity is used to demonstrate what is important in death. The actual cause of death is unimportant to the toad for example, the "power mower caught" (Wilbur, line 1) the toad's leg and while it "chewed and clipped" (Wilbur, line 2) the actual mower is not described further. This is because the mechanism of death does not truly matter to the toad or the author, death is inevitable and the mower is simply accepted as what happened to be the deliverer to that end. The next use of imagery is the "final glade" (Wilbur, line 6) where the toad will come to rest for the last time. It hops to a place "Under the cineraria leaves, in the shade of the ashen heart shaped leaves" (Wilbur, line 45) which is more detailed than anything before it. More important than the injury or even the machine that eventually kills it is the final resting place, meaning the location of death and what that location means to the person dying is more important than the act itself. This is where the toad ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 11. Compare And Contrast Anne Bradstreet And Edward Taylor Anne Bradstreet and Edward Taylor are two poets who are puritans. They are able to use writing and language to portray their ideas on G–d and religion. Upon the Burning of Our House, July 10th, 1666 by Bradstreet and Huswifery by Taylor are similar in the sense that G–d is always a part of their poems, whether it's direct or through the use of complex writing. Through the use of language and metaphors, Bradstreet conveys that a connection with G–d could be strengthened through destruction while Taylor reveals that a connection can be reinforced through creation. Edward Taylor uses a housewife who is creating a garment from thread as a symbol of creating a relationship with G–d. Throughout the poem, the reader sees metaphors in the text that ... The narrator goes on to say "Adieu, adieu, all's vanity" (line 36). This is a very materialistic phrase. However, in the next stanza, the narrator says that she is the one in the wrong for straying from G–d. The realization of the connection she has developed to material objects brings on a reflecting of how she ever strayed from G–d since there is nothing to count on except G–d. In the last stanza, the narrator says, "My hope and treasure lies above" (line 54). Everything that the narrator needs is in heaven. While she may seem a little resentful, she is able to accept the destruction of her house and turn it into love for G–d. The idea of predestination makes an appearance again as the narrator knows that this is what G–d wanted. In 1534, the Portuguese appropriated the islands from Bahadur Shah of Gujarat. They were ceded to Charles II of England in 1661, as dowry for Catherine de Braganza. The population quickly rose from 10,000 in 1661, to 60,000 in 1675. In 1687, the British East India Company transferred its headquarters from Surat to Mumbai. The city eventually became the headquarters of the Bombay Presidency. The opening of the Suez Canal in 1869 transformed Bombay into one of the largest seaports on the Arabian Sea. Over the next thirty years, the city grew into a major urban centre, spurred by an improvement in infrastructure and the construction of many of the city's institutions. The population of the city swelled to one million by 1906, making it the second largest in India after Calcutta. As capital of the Bombay Presidency, it was a major base for the Indian independence movement, with the Quit India Movement called by Mahatma Gandhi in 1942 being its most rubric event. After India's independence in 1947, it became the capital of Bombay State. In the 1950 the city expanded to its present limits by incorporating parts of Salsette island which lay to the north. The late 1970s witnessed a construction boom and a significant influx of migrants, which saw Mumbai overtake Kolkata as India's most populous city. This influx caused unrest among local Maharashtrians who worried about the loss of culture, jobs, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 13. Let Me Die Let Me Die – I Want Eternity In May Miller's Poem "Death is not Master" the persona explains that death is not the master that will increase desperation, but it is a way to become eternally calm. Many poems on the topic of death explain how it is as powerful of a thing that fears the existence of human beings, but Miller's persona death is used in such way to achieve eternal serenity. She explains death as something that can end all the worlds' tears, desires and tension and transform the human memory into a sculpture which is unaware of tensions. Miller's persona believes that by blocking death it will be unfair as it will be a barrier to the everlasting happiness and calmness that lies inside the grave. It is an elaboration of Christian beliefs of how death ends all worldly problems as an eternal life starts after the death. The eternal life of a human or corpse after death is same as that of 'sculpture' which shines at night and remains in one place free of all tensions and problems. As the life after death is full of calmness and happiness, so it must not be blocked and everyone must welcome it to gain the everlasting lasting life. Thus, conveying Miller's idea of how the perspective death is not the master; instead, it is the slave of eternal life of serenity and calmness that lies ahead. So, no one should try to become a barrier by blocking the death. Repetition of 'you' six times and 'I' three times symbolizes the relationship between 'I' and 'You' who love each other ... The beginnings and ends of what we choose to call centuries are almost invariably years of little significance. But there is little agreement over when the twentieth century c.e. arrived, and there were several points both before the year 2000 (the collapse of the Soviet Union, the reunification of Germany, the surge of globalization from the mid–1990s) and afterward (9/11, or the global recession of 2008) when one could quite plausibly argue that a new era had begun. A compelling case can be made for viewing the decades of the global scramble for colonies after 1870 as a predictable culmination of the long nineteenth century, which was ushered in by the industrial and political revolutions of the late 1700s. But at the same time, without serious attention to the processes and misguided policies that led to decades of agrarian and industrial depression from the late 1860s to the 1890s, as well as the social tensions and political rivalries that generated and were in turn fed by imperialist expansionism, one cannot begin to comprehend the causes and consequences of the Great War that began in 1914. That conflict determined the contours of the twentieth century in myriad ways. On the one hand, the war set in motion transformative processes that were clearly major departures from those that defined the nineteenth–century world order. • 15. How Is Virtual Store Different From Online Shopping? 1. How is virtual store different from online shopping? How is it similar to online shopping? Virtual stores are physical stores that shoppers attend in person, usually are set up in public spaces, subways and bus stops with high traffic and frequented daily by tech–savvy commuters. Shoppers browse the store as they would in a normal shop, but rather than picking up the items and placing them in the basket, they touch the screen or scan the barcode with their smartphones and scrolling through the unique moving screens on large virtual fridges to add them to their list. Then the products are delivered to their home. The idea is that shopping can be done on the way to work and then have it delivered at home that evening which is missing in online shopping. While online shopping (sometimes known as e–tail from "electronic retail" or e–shopping) is a form of electronic commerce which allows customers to buy goods directly or services from a seller through the Internet using a ... In addition, 59% of all rail journeys in the UK were to or from London. This represents a large potential market of busy daily travellers, who would find convenience in a virtual store located in the train station. Customers could shop at Tesco while waiting for their train to arrive. Easy virtual online store accessibility in train stations for example, would attract younger, cosmopolitan customers (group E, exhibit 3) who are likely too frequently use public transportation. • 18. Robert Lee Frost Analysis Robert Lee Frost was conceived in San Francisco, March 26. He was one of America's premier twentieth century writers and won the Pulitzer Prize four times. In spite of the fact that his verse shapes are old–style, he was an innovator in the interaction of meter and rhyme and in the wonderful utilization of the vocabulary and emphases of how everybody speaks today. His work is full of nature and is very touching. Two of Robert Lee Frosts supreme and popular poems that I will be working with are "The Road Not Taken" and "Stopping by Woods on A Snowy Evening". In the poems "Road not taken" and "Stopping by woods on a snowy evening" Robert Frost explains that both depict how to take choices in life a circumstance where he needs to pick between two ways in that will affect his life forever. In "The Road Not Taken" the writer in the sonnet is voyaging and comes at the spot from where the road is isolated into two. Here he needs to choose which way he needs to go for eventual fate of his life. The goals of both pathways are obscure. Yet, the poet needs to pick one of them as he can't choose both roads at once. Utilizing "yellow wood" (line 1) as a representative signal to seniority moving toward quick, his definitive decision will endure for what he will have to live with for the rest of his life. Moving toward older age comes with the acknowledgment of the truth, it's an ideal opportunity to say goodbye to dreams and expectations. "Then took the other, as just as fair and having perhaps the better claim" (line 6–7). The poet appears to be indecisive here. But, he has settled on a choice, he is still constantly thinking about it. On the outline, both roads strike as comparative, with no apparent difference. As a result, his absence of activity and uncertainty causes him enormous distress and delay. "Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back" (line 14–15). The poet endeavors to persuade himself with little achievement, verging on daydreaming. He induces himself that if one road ends up being unsatisfactory, he would have the capacity to offer reparation and pick the other road. In any case, looking back, he's completely mindful that his decision will impact him in his later years ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In Emily Dickinson's poem, in line 1, 2 "Because I couldn't stop for death –He kindly stopped for me" the word "death" delivers a positive mood as the speaker seems respect and awe death. Moreover, death is portrayed as a phenomenon that is beyond ‎ human's control. Death has its own control; it is something that human cannot decide themselves but only death can do stop for human, invite them into its carriage, not vice versa. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, in contrast to Emily's poem, the speaker undervalues death's supremacy as its power is actually not in its own control. It is a contradictory to Emily's poem. In line 9 "Thou'art slave to fate, chance, kings, and desperate men" indicates death as a slave as it does what has been ordered from the superior ones. Death takes human's life not because he is willing to do so but because he is forced to do so. In line 10–11, "And dost with poison, war and sickness... can make us sleep as well" the speaker associates death with poison, war and sickness as death is not the only factor of human's deceases which then the speaker posts rhetorical question for death to stop being proud. Also, the usage of rhetorical questions like in line 2 "For thou art not so" makes death fragile. Further, the last line in this poem "And death shall be no more; Death, thou shalt die" points out that at the end, the only one who dies is death itself which will be discussed in the element of Christian theology in this essay. The ending also eventually argues that death is weak and vulnerable, not in control and that is the reason why human should not fear death. All the arguments made by the speaker in this poem creates death less powerful and less control of itself which illustrates a condescending tone to elucidate death's incapability to kill. Hence, both poets; Emily Dickinson and John Donne portray death as a phenomenon that human should not fear. But ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

From the depths of its physical and cultural development to its present prominence in the financial world, the city is an excellent example in defining and understanding the cities of today. From the various turmoil to the dramatic increase in development of the city life establishment, the city of Seoul sets itself apart from many as an interesting city. In its earlier days, Seoul was known as Han Yang. The city dates back to the year 1394, where the Chosun/Joseson Dynasty recognized it as the new capital (Ko, 2005). Shortly after the city was established, the Fortress Wall of Seoul was constructed, which was a circular wall made from various stones, sticks and other materials that enclosed the capital. The wall was assembled not only to define the boundaries of the new land, but also for security and operational purposes (UNESCO). The purpose of the gate was also a way for the dynasty to signify and set itself apart as a separate entity from the rest of the land. • 23. Rhetorical Analysis Of Elizabeth Bishop 's One Art "One Art" is a villanelle filled with sad sentiments of encouragement towards accepting loss. Elizabeth Bishop uses her tone to pull emotions from the reader that could be confusion and disagreement. Her tone deeply impacts the reader in such a way that it causes him/her to seriously think of accepting her opinion and advice. The capturing way she uses her tone in her word choice shows the reader her natural inflexion when she speaks. The tone of her work even affects her characterization. In "One Art," Elizabeth Bishop uses tone to convey a character of false casualty, while also using it to emphasize the very heavy impact of her diction. In the first lines of "One Art," Bishop's tone is that of a melancholy nature. She states that "losing isn't hard to master" (line 1). She follows this by proclaiming that everything intends to "be lost" from the beginning, so disaster should not be felt when those losses take place (line 3). Erin Christian talks somewhat of this in her essay, "On Loss in Elizabeth Bishop's 'One Art'." One may infer that Bishop's tone, in these lines, reflects this opinion of easiness with the rhyming of the word "master" with "disaster" (Christian 541). This style is used in a villanelle to be rigid and almost unplanned, which reflects the tone of Bishop's words in that her opinions and statements throughout are rather unfocused or disorganized. The way that she encourages her readers to "lose something every day" is, in her view, a way to get used to the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 24. Clues to the True Meaning of “Sestina” by Elizabeth Bishop A sestina is a fixed form of six stanzas that end with an envoi, an address to an imagined or real subject. This particular form of "Sestina" by Elizabeth Bishop takes you through one particular afternoon of a grandmother and her grandchild. Though the poem itself is ambiguous, Bishop foreshadows the grandmother's demise throughout the entirety of the poem. The five words almanac, grandmother, tears, stove, and house are used at the end of each line for the six stanzas and envoi. They are clues as to figuring out the meaning of the poem. However, they are not the only clues as symbolism is the main usage of figurative language. The speaker is assumed to be Elizabeth Bishop but even she has written the poem in a way that reflects that of an outside observer to obscure the poem even further. To start off the analysis, the setting of the entire poem is significant. Though the poem takes place in a house, the atmosphere the house is set in is also important. The month is September which is a month of fall which can be seen as a symbol for decline. It definitely insinuates that the poem is leading towards death. Line 1 has "September rain falls on the house" which gives the feeling of a dark and cold night with a storm on top of that. To further develop that, Bishop gives us the failing light in line 2 to also give us an idea of the grandmother's struggle. Bishop uses the cyclical theme of changing seasons to show the unending nature of what is transpiring within the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

An Analysis of ‚ÄúDo Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night‚Äù An analysis of "Do Not Go Gentle into That Good Night" This poem was written by Dylan Thomas who had been acknowledged as one of the most important Welsh poets of the 20th century. The poem is a son's plea to his dying father. Thomas shows four different kinds of people in four stanzas – wise men, good men, wild men and grave men so as to encourage his father to fight against death rather than to accept in silence. The tone used in the poem is passionate and intense. "Rage, rage against the dying of the light" (line 3) is an attitude the old is supposed to hold. "Old age should burn and rave at close of day" (line 2) is exactly the theme that the poet wants to pass on. Though wise men at their end know dark ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... "Blind eyes could blaze like meteors" (line 14) This is a metaphor that means grave men never distinguish their hope and always hold a passionate attitude towards life. A disabled person still can fight against the doom. Why healthy people give in to death? In the last stanza, the poet points out that this poem is particularly written for his dying father. "Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray."(line 17) In this sentence, "curse", "bless", "fierce" and "tears" all have the rhyme "s" which makes the tone soft–sounding. Thomas begs his father to die with anger, not humility. Whatever the ways, the curse or bless, the poet can bear it so long as his father not surrender to death. This poem is structured in a form called villanelle, which has 19 lines long, but only uses two rhymes. In this poem, "night", "light", "right", "bright", "flight", "sight" and "sight" all end with "t" sound and "day", "they", "bay", "way", "gay" and "pray" all end with "ei" sound. The rhythm of this poem follows as "aba, aba, aba, aba, aba, abaa". Moreover, it is clear to see that first five stanzas are triples and last stanza is a quatrain, which is also another standard of villanelle. There are two refrains in the poem. "Do not go gentle into that good night." (line 1) is repeated in line 6, line 12 and line 18. "Rage, rage against the dying of the light." (line 3)is repeated in line 9, line 15 and line 19. The Emotional Analysis Of Migraine By Twenty-One Pilots Migraine, while it's usually known as super painful headache, ask a teenager and they will probably say it's a hit song from the Ohio based synthpop, rap rock, indie rock, and yes even reggae, band Twenty–One Pilots. Underneath the techno beat and flying piano notes, are lyrics with a deeper meaning. The excellent lyricist, Tyler Joseph, in a spit–fire fashion, confronts many prevalent feelings and struggles. Within the song, Tyler Joseph attacks his brain, that keeps sending him depressing, and pessimistic thoughts. This song uses many allegories represented by literal images. "Migraine"by Twenty–One Pilots is a unique song that puts a voice to the battles of the mind; it has a riveting theme, complex setting, and an intriguing style. Furthermore, the theme of this song is Tyler's migraine, although it seems like a simple concept his migraine is due to his overworking head. In the song, Tyler sings" (Line 12) let it be said what this headache represents it's me defending in suspense ...(line 16) that's best represented by my depressing thoughts",and ( line 32). "something you won't forget its all about my forehead" ( line 33 ) it's a door that holds back contents". He also sings in the very beginning of the song (Line 1); " Am I the only one I know ( line 2 ) waging my wars behind my face and above my throat." If you know anything about anatomy you will know he is referring to his brain. The overarching theme of this catchy song is the battles of the brain, which of course is best represented by the migraine. Schizophrenic pop is what some people may label this duo; it makes sense for this song. The setting bounces around everywhere. There is a significant amount geographical settings within this song, there is also a gigantic amount of literal imagery as well.
