It is farming in 3D, getting two or more crops from the same land. By growing upwards as well as at ground level productivity is increased, making the best use of light, nutrients and moisture.
Agr'eau is a farmer-centered grassroots effort to develop a resource-efficient, eco-friendly, climate-smart agriculture across the Adour-Garonne basin (south-west of France).
The Agr'eau programme, a network of nearly 300 farms of all types and sizes across the basin, was launched in 2013 to build on existing field experiences. Agr’eau encourages its farmers and research partners to develop and validate highly resilient systems together that complement "basic" agroforestry practices with no-till, cover crop farming practices. The result is a multi-level form of agriculture that maximises the plant cover of the soil, both spatially and temporally.

Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).

17. Productivity gaps and constraints
• Productivity gap estimates:
– up to 130% in beef, 430% in milk,
even among existing breeds.
• Short-term constraints = feed deficits:
Typical 50−70% deficits in feed relative to genetic
potential and water availability often key constraint.
• Longer term constraints = disease:
Animal diseases both reduce livestock
productivity and kill animals outright:
– Trypanosomosis reduces African
cattle production by 15%.
– Cysticercosis reduces value of
African pig production by over 30%.
– Other major diseases include
> East Coast fever in cattle,
> Newcastle disease in poultry
> African swine fever in pigs.
– These diseases can kill up to 20%
of adult animals and many more young animals.
