It involves the development of emerging technologies through research, making existing technologies less expensive over time, and integrating technologies into different industries and society. While technology has improved our lives through applications like mechanized agriculture, better transportation and communication, and improved education and healthcare, it also poses risks such as resource depletion, pollution, and decreased personal relationships as technology replaces human interaction. The impacts of technological change depend on how technology is applied for benefit or harm.

technologies throughout industry or society (which sometimes
