The survey results show that the majority of participants prefer watching music videos on YouTube. This indicates that the target audience wants easily accessible music videos online. The responses also demonstrate that various internet and streaming apps are used to access music videos, stressing the need for a digital campaign. Most favorite music videos cited were pop artists like One Direction and Taylor Swift, showing pop is a popular genre. Overall, the survey provides useful information on preferences that will help design promotional materials for a music product geared toward this audience.
New Public Management, is it a reality?Ashiki_Elahi
New Public Management (NPM) is a global paradigm in lieu of traditional public administration. There was hope that gradually NPM would solve core problems of traditional public administration accepting market management tool in public service delivery. On that sense, NPM holds market friendly principles as a conception. Since its emergence, a long time has already passed and we have seen a lot of practice of NPM in both developed and developing countries. All the way through its emergence and implementation, NPM faced a lot of criticisms. The question is, NPM is here to stay or not until we focus on market. This study is conducted to know the answer by reviewing existing literatures on NPM. As market economy is a reality and almost every powerful world leaders have taken it positive, crises in market is not going to be a great concern. Besides, now there are no such alternative that can occupy the place NPM is holding. So, as long as market remains in our policy, obviously there will be NPM as an effective concept.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.
The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.
Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

Survey anaylsis
1. Survey Analysis Results…
52 total responses on…
our Survey Monkey Questionnaire…
Thank you for your participation!
My results show the majority of participants doing the survey enjoy viewing music videos on
YouTube, an Internet page/website accessible on all devices. Even as apps. This is important
To me as I understand people want to have a music video which is easily accessible. YouTube
being an World Wide Web feature have merged its self into modern culture and is
considered the best way to access all music, videos of interest etc. for free. The general
public are big internet users and I much meet them requirements the public expect from
modern day life. There was much less numbers who said they watched Music videos on TV
and vivo. TV is not as dominant for my audience. I will need to promote my Digipak across
many media platforms in order to be a desirable product for the general public and fan
bases.
These individual responses show other various
Internet related apps are used to access Music
videos. Again stressing the need to produce a
campaign for my digipak that is adequate for this
target audience. The last comment could indicate
this person isn’t as interested in music videos and
wont go out looking to access my product of
interest, therefore their comment isn’t as valid or
I could use this information to try and target the
out of sync public who are not as attentive. An
audience to get the attention of!
Question 1
5. Question 2
In this section of the survey, we required participants to tell us what their favourite music videos where.
Subsequently 40 people answered to question and 12 decided to skip. A large number of people missing
this question means we haven’t collected as much data as planned, obviously knowing favourite music
videos will help myself to provide a music video to which all the audience members will enjoy and feel
attracted to. The data shows a large chunk of the videos chosen fit the Pop genre. Artists such as One
direction, Taylor Swift, Little Mix. Therefore we will see what people who like modern music want, and
that upbeat pop is highly liked genre. Overall The range of music genres are very varied and cover many
music types so some of this data is irrelevant because I don’t want to use that music genre. However I
can still use some of the ideas in the music videos and hope they improve the overall look of the finished
product. Few responses provided a short account explaining why they liked the music video they had
chosen. I found that a lot enjoyed seeing the bands performing, one response quoted ‘old ones of the
band performing, it’s a nostalgia thing for me,. Clearly this is a popular choice and surly would add the
quality of my overall finished product. I did get a response saying ‘ones with big arses’ in relation to
music videos. Despite this seeming a irrelevant comment it could tell me they person enjoys watching
objectification. This is an aspect of some music videos and clearly important to certain individuals.
Provides an desirable video that people are attracted too.
6. Question 3
From this question I have learnt almost half the participants prefer a story based
music video. Often story based products apply to more modern soundtracks and
music. Most music in modern society has the availability to produce a genuine
story given the technology and access to actors, I can replicate this in my
product too. Digital animation was joint last having 5 votes, This is good
because I'm not particularly interested in producing this and my access to very
complex technology to do this is limited. It would be very hard to do this. Live
performance is 2nd favourite type, this genre of music video has always been a
reliable, old fashioned sort of style which works regardless of the band. Looking
at these results clearly live performance and story based videos compliment the
screen best according to the audience and I will aim to combine these in my
product.
The comments shared in this
question provide me with an
element of live performance
and an anomalous response
which wont fit into any
categories. Therefore the
responses are not reliable or
valid towards my research.
7. Question 4
All people responded to this question and the data shows a
strong vote in favour of seeing The band/artist performing in
the music video. This tells me Audiences want to see band
members and live action. People feel more connected to the
artist this way. Understandable this is very important to the
promotion of the artists identity and something to strongly
consider in the very near future. I think live performance
enhances most music videos because you can really feel the
emotion, power and feeling that goes into a song from the
band. Once again connecting with the audience. For the small
percentage that doesn't, we can be more creative, for example
a story. I can develop a plan of action using this data collected
to plan necessary equipment and locations to produce a live
performance. A studio setting, instruments, actors and Editing
techniques.
8. Question 5
All people responded to this question meaning I have a valid set of results that reflect everyone's
opinions that took part in the survey. In total we had 131 responses on a question where you could
pick more than 1 option presented. This means on average people like to see 2-3 of the options in
the data on Album covers. This suggests that overall my respondents prefer a simple Album cover
over a complex one. I can understand this as too many features can make something that should be
eye catching and bold more complicated and confusing. My survey shows that pictures was the
most popular choice of album covers, this is relatively simple to do and effective in various ways.
This suggests that viewers want a Album cover that is striking, bold, creative and colourful, all
which a picture often haves. The viewers want to be able to visualise something, therefore nothing
that is boring like credits, which got voted for the least. All text based choices scored low except
from track listings. On a Album you often need something to be striking visually and I will take that
onboard from this. A visual of the band voted highly in my data too, obviously important regarding
recognition of an artist and adapting a relationship with its fans.
Question 6 was based on the same subject as
Question 5 and had very similar responses,
therefore the analysis above applies for
question 6 as well. Question 6 did get some
responses. Someone commented that they like
to see a theme from an artist. I can infer this
individual likes the idea of unity across an artists
merchandise. I will therefore look for a theme
that follows same characteristics throughout.
9. Question 7
This question is very important because colour as an advertisement technique is one of the
best to help my digipak sell and appeal to audiences. I had shortlisted a verity of colour
scheme options I felt would be most beneficial. This concludes that Bright and bold was by
far most popular. Often this is a good way of advertising as the colours seep of the page,
draw attention to the viewers and the digipak would ultimately standout on sales shelves.
Complimentary style came in as second highest vote, which compared to bright and bold is
the complete opposite in style. This shows that everyone has there own preference and the
choices are very diverse. From this analysis I can confirm all the schemes are liked by some
of the public and therefore will work regardless. However given 2 out right favourites I will
made a decision between the two once I begin designing digipak.
In order for maximum effect, given
the style of the song as well I will
aim to look for a striking
comparison of colours. This might
mean finding a contrast of colours.
Therefore getting a bold
appearance, which is sharp and
defined. Opposites in colour
wheel?
10. Question 8
Everyone of my participants took part in this question, therefore all my data is valid.
My Digipak must include a bonus feature disc, preferably the content used will be
something the majority of the audience would enjoy. 34 people said They would like to
see live performances. This is good and contributes to the realism of the band, helps
fans connect with the band and is good to advertise the artist. Concerts are very
popular in the music universe and live performance is very important to the music fan
base. Another popular feature was ‘Behind the scenes content’. This is a reliable source
of content worth showing on a disc, the stuff people don't see and would like to
understand more. I feel the highest voted options are very consistent in giving fans fine
detail they enjoy and would be suitable to feature on my disc. The Data also shows that
participants wish the see more than one bonus feature on the disc. In fact 145 votes
across the question totalled that on average people would like to see 2.7 bonus
features, basically 2 to 3 extras on the disc. This could suggest that the choices I picked
are very popular and I should use the data collected very resourcefully, using a variety
of choices in the final piece.
Some personal written responses gave me a
few pointers but nothing that I didn't
already understand in the data collection
process. Some of these responses are valid
but not necessarily very important.
11. Question 9
52 answered on this question, all the participants who took part, And gave me a clear
understanding of what they expect. All choices bar reviews and the other option
scored highly. Date release was important in the advertisement, this suggests the
public want to know when they album is available to buy etc. 4 of the choices had
loads of votes, I can suggest that certain options are critical to advertising a brand,
such as artist identity and album title. Therefore They are all vital in there own way and
will feature on the advert, but this tells me what is first in level of importance. This
data is therefore very useful in the production of my advert in the near future. People
were not interested in the reviews of album choice, This suggests basic information
comes first as public interest and should be considered carefully when designing this
product.
Individual written responses
suggest concerts and gigs should
be considered. This links to live
performance which voted highly
in previous questions. This is a
very helpful point made in my
data collection.
12. Question 10
This Question is basically the same as Question 9 having similar
style of question, I have already gathered information I need
regarding the Advertisement.
Analysis has helped me to understand a range of opinions my
audience have on certain choices and concepts in this area of work,
and will ultimately help me develop the product.
