Stretch and Challenge Wall
What is it?
• A removable card display
• Students can be directed to the stretch and challenge wall
in a number of different ways
• Each card has a choice of challenging tasks on for students
work on
• The tasks are generic so they can be used with all year
groups and topics
• The tasks are based on metacognitive activities, designed
to enable students to make links between their work and
think about the way in which they are learning.
How can it be used?
• As an extension activity e.g. after purple pen
• As a reflect and review activity at the end of the lesson
• As a mini reflect and review during the lesson
• As a group challenge e.g. numbered heads together
• As a paired activity

for students to engage with
