Abstract
This researchwas aimed at 4 four reasons for; studying the attitude of the Buddhist
students towards teaching and learning in the Buddhist Meditation 3, 5, and 7, studying the
attitude of the 2nd
, 3rd
and 4th
year Buddhist students towardsteachingand learning in the Buddhist
Meditation 3, 5, and 7, analyzing the comparative data concerning the students' attitudes towards
teaching and learning in the Buddhist Meditation, and studying the problems and obstacles of
teaching and learning in the Buddhist Meditation 3,5, and 7 of the 2nd
, 3rd
and 4th
year Buddhist
students.
The population sampling used of this research were 150 Buddhist students who
registered the course of practical Dharma 3, 5, and 7 in the regular term and irregular term of the
first semester/2551 B.E. and they were studying at the Buddhist College of Loei.
The results showed that;

and 4th
year Buddhist students’ opinions at all 4 aspects, in overall, were
at “High” level (3.74). In regard to considering at each aspect, it showed that the attitude in the
aspect of teaching had highest average score (3.84), followed by the attitude in the aspect of
contents (3.83), motivation (3.80), and the lowest average score was the aspect of meditation
practice (3.74), respectively.

year- Buddhist students’ opinions in overall at the aspect of
contents in the courses of practical Dharma 3, 5 and 7 were at “High” level (3.83). In regard to
considering at each aspect, it showed that the item 6: the gaining benefit resulted from studying
the course of Buddhist Meditation (4.12), followed by the item 3: the contents being consistent to
the reality of the today world (3.95), and the lowest average score was the item 5: the contents
have been studied ever before (3.58).

and 4th
year- Buddhist students’ opinions in overall at the aspect of
motivation in the course of Buddhist Meditation 3, 5 and 7 were at “High” level (3.80). In regard
to considering at each aspect, it showed that the item 4: each Dharma item in the course of
Buddhist Meditation was the motivating media being adapted for use in daily life (4.03),
followed by the item 6: the textbooks of Buddhist Meditation which were used for finding out
and studying in the library were the good motivating media to want to study the courses of
Buddhist Meditation (3.89), and the lowest average score item was the item 2: the classroom
environment condition had atmosphere to be wanted to study the courses of Buddhist Meditation
(3.53).

and 4th
year Buddhist students’ opinions in overall towards teaching and
learningin the coursesof Buddhist Meditation 3, 5 and7 were at “High” level (3.84). in regardto
considering at each aspect, it showed that item 5: the teacher openly let the students have chances
to ask for the resolutions, had the highest average score (4.09), followed by the item 2: the
teachers clearly described the contents and well understood (4.05), and the lowest average score
item was the item 1: the teachers cited the introduction of Dharma or the result of Dharma merit
prior to the lesson (3.70).
5. In regard to the comparison concerning the Buddhist students' attitude towards
teaching and learning in the course of Buddhist Meditation in overall, it found that it was not
different, statistically and significantly, at the 0.05 level. When considering at each aspect, it
found that it was not different in all aspects, statistically and significantly, at the 0.05 level.
6. Regarding the problems and obstacles in teaching and learning in the courses of
Buddhist Meditation 3,5, and 7 of the 2nd
, 3rd
and 4th
year Buddhist students, it found that there
were less textbooks of some courses, and there were not enough textbooks for helping the
students to find out and study. Accessing to the internet media was not enough for finding out and
studying. Arrangement of learning and teaching was still the obstacles due to the Buddhist

students stayed awayfrom the college in long distance and in this regard, it let them come to the
class late. As well as due to insufficiency of the buildings, there were not enough classrooms for
students.
In summary from the mentioned above, it indicated that the opinions towards the
teaching and learning in the courses of Buddhist Meditation 3, 5 and 7 of the 2nd
, 3rd
and 4th
year
Buddhist students were not different, statistically and significantly.
