The most impactful event in my life so far was the two week service trip I took to Ecuador with
Renbrook in june of 2015. It was a two week service trip in which we would be helping at medical
clinics and building wheelchair ramps for a school for disabled kids. I went into the trip having no
idea how much of an impact it would have on my life, and I definitely had no idea that I would create
strong bonds with people I had never even met. I came out of this trip a different person, a better

Church, but Chaucer explains that he breaks the written laws and precedents set by people recognized
as Saints and highly acclaimed people. The Monk is a lazy, disgusting man who lived a dishonest and

an example of Chaucer s awareness of a defiled Church. Chaucer provides humor to his description of

Chaucer balances it out with a highly appraise of the Parson. He appears into the prologue before the

My Paper is about a Baltic German surgeon named, Ernst Von Bergmann.
Dr. Bergmann was Born on December 1836 Riga, Russian Baltic Provinces. He is known as the first
surgeon to use heat to sterilize surgical instruments. Dr. Bergmann came from a religious family. His
father was a Lutheran Pastor in Rujen, Livonia. His mother was a refugee from an epidemic in Riga,
thus Ernst Von Bergmann being born in the city where his mother was a refugee.

The biggest trial and misfortune for Ernst Von Bergmann came with the death of Crown Prince and
Kaiser, Frederick. Crwon Prince and Kaiser suffered from hoarseness which means having a vocal
tone characterized by weakness of intensity and excessive breathiness, the hoarse voice of the
auctioneer . It began when The Crown Prince was diagnosed by another Doctor, named Gerhardt.
Gerhardt saw that the Prince had an irregular projection of the left vocal cord and diagnosed him with
Polypoid (nonmalignant growth or tumor protruding from the mucous lining of an organ such as the
nose, bladder, or intestine, often causing obstruction) which continued to grow. A few months later, on
May of 1887, The Prince was diagnosed with Epithelioma (benign or malignant tumor derived from
epithelial cells. Bergmann came to see the Prince and recommend laryngofissure and also removal of
the affected cord, and possibly part of the thyroid cartilage if it was affected. Since a well known
Doctor name Hahn in Berlin had successfully operated for the same disease.
A couple of days later, another Doctor confirmed the diagnosys of Bergmann, a Doctor name Tobold.
They brought it to the Crown Prince and the Prince also agreed with to have the surgery performed.

The Berlin Conference was were 14 nations, during 1884 1885, came together and discussed the rules
for all the divisions in Africa. They came together because all these countries had in visioned war
stirring among themselves. Any of these European countries could claim apart of Africa if they had

giving them rights. The Europeans believed the Africans were to dumb to handle a country and its
business rights. So, the Europeans governed the people in a paternal way by meeting their needs but

This generates a type of person where whilst engaged in a conversation face to face while loose eye

European Community Law Enacted Into Domestic Law
The European Communities Act 1972 was passed by parliament, this introduced the European
Community law enacted into domestic law. On the 1st January 1973, the United Kingdom joined the
European communities, along with other European nations, and this embarked on the nations
becoming the European Union. On the 23th June 2016, the European Union Referendum Act 2015
took place questioning as to whether the United Kingdom should leave the European Union, and thus,
the people voted in agreement to leave. This triggered Article 50 of the Treaty on European Union,
whereby Prime Minister Theresa May is to give liable notification to exit the European Union. This
allows a two year open window to discuss a withdrawal agreement. The R (Miller) v Secretary of
State for Exiting the European Union case discusses as to whether the Crown s notice is substantial to
give notice of this leave.
The legal issue presented before us asks if the Crown Court has the prerogative power to give
notification under Article 50 to exit the European Union without notifying parliament. This foreseeing

Ladies and gentleman of the jury at Cook County Criminal Court, I am the defense attorney. Today we
are regarding Case number 407 and my client is insane. This case is about the murderer, Sam Parris,
who murdered Billy Porter. We know that Sam is clearly guilty because he confessed to us. Sam Parris
is insane because he hears voices inside his head, he says he has a disease, and he is imagining things
that are not really there.
The first piece of evidence I have is when Sam says, Almighty God! no, no! They heard! they
suspected! they knew! they were making a mockery of my horror! this I thought, and this I think!

I gasped for breath and yet the officers heard it not. I talked more quickly more vehemently; but the
noise steadily increased. (page four). Sam is hearing noises. He is either hearing voices inside his head
or hearing sounds inside his head. If the officers didn t hear him talking or gasping, he was hearing it
inside his head. When you are insane, you believe things that aren t true. He hears, sees, and thinks
things are not really there. On the other hand, I could see why some say he is sane. In some parts of

while he was doing the murder, he didn t know what he was doing. But, afterwards it hit him. He
learned what he did. In conclusion, I find Sam Parris to be completely guilty of murder. But, I believe
that he should be admitted to a mental hospital and not be charged for murder. He needs treatment for
his disease. The disease makes him not think right. It makes him believe stuff that isn t true. Thank
