Social psychology seeks to understand how individual human behavior is influenced by other people and the social context. It examines topics like self-concept, group processes, social influence, stereotypes, discrimination, social learning, aggression, and attribution - specifically the fundamental attribution error in which people tend to underestimate the impact of situational factors and overestimate the effect of personality when explaining another person's behavior.
