Introduction
• Smartphone sensors is any one of a number of different types of sensing devices
installed on a user's phone to gather data for various user purposes.
• Often in conjunction with a mobile app.
• The history of the smart sensor is an arms race, fought with sensors.
• The most important sensor on a smartphone - it's microphone.
• The first iPhone, smartphones have used gyroscopes and accelerometers.
Accelerometer Sensor
Accelerometer is a Sensor that measures changes in gravitational
acceleration in a device.
It works on sense:- Motion in multiple direction.
Air Gesture Sensor
Gesture recognition is a type of perceptual computing user interface that
allow computer to capture and interpret human gesture as commands.
Air gesture sensor is the ability of computer to understand gesture.
Air Humidity Sensor
It therefore measures both moisture and air temperature. Relative humidity
is the ratio of actual moisture in the air to the highest amount.
Ambient Light Sensor
A device that detects the amount of light in the vicinity. It sensor may be built
into a smartphone or tablet to adjust the brightness based on the available
light.
Fingerprint Sensor
Fingerprint reader a scanner used to identity a parsons fingerprint for
security purposes. They are used to unlock other security system.
Gyroscope Sensor
A gyroscope is a device that uses earths gravity to help determine
Orientation.
Iris Sensor
Iris recognition is an automated method of biometric identification that
used mathematical pattern-recognition technique.
Magnetometer Sensor
E-compass is usually based on a magnetometer sensors which provide
mobile phone with a simple orientation to the earth Magnetic field.
A magnetometer detects the direction of magnetic north and in
conjunction with GPS, determines the user's location.
Motion Sensor
• lowers energy costs
• Deters crime
 A motion sensor detects moving objects, particularity people.
 It automatically performs task or alerts a user of motion in an area.
 Merits:-
Pedometer Sensor
This sensor detects human foot steps.
They works on accelerometer.
Fitness band based on pedometer sensor.
Proximity Sensor
The proximity sensor either measures the distance that some object is from
device (in centimeters) or represents or flag to say weather an object is close
or far.
Some proximity sensors will give a value ranging from 0.0 .
Heart Rate Sensor
A heart rate monitor personal monitoring device that allows one to
measure once heart rate in real time or record the heart rate for later study.
IR Blaster Sensor
The “IR blaster” stands for infrared most remotes use infrared to communicate
instructions to different devices.
Thank you...
