Six Sigma is a data-driven methodology for process improvement that focuses on reducing defects. It aims for near perfection by striving for no more than 3.4 defects per million opportunities. The document discusses the key principles and tools of Six Sigma including defining critical customer requirements, measuring processes and quality, analyzing data to identify sources of variation, improving processes by addressing key causes of defects, and controlling processes to sustain improvements. It also explains the DMAIC methodology for improving existing processes and DMADV for designing new processes.
Quality improvement has been a long concern for any organizations. Six sigma in this case is an efficient tool to gain service excellence that is imroving the capability of business. This tool is basically based on statistics, focused on process, followed by a data-driven methodolgy. With an aim to improve the output quality, which includes risk and/or fault identification and applying procedure to minimize the risk, six sigma serves the purpose of defect reduction and a boost up of employee morale, profit and services. The integration of defect detection and minimizing it hence improving the quality of service is the main concern here.
This presentation is for the personnel who are going to be a part of Six Sigma project as process owner or team member & need to know the basics.
The scope of this presentation is “Overview” & “Define” of Six Sigma.

Measurement System Analysis (MSA) course is essential for successful Six Sigma DMAIC and DFSS projects. It is also key for implementation of SQC, and efficient process management.
Reliable measurement processes are critical to the success of any effort dependent on measurement data and process analysis, including Six Sigma DMAIC improvement projects, DFSS project, SPC, SQC, Supplier Quality, and business process management and continuous improvement. Without validation that measurements are accurate, repeatable with multiple measurements by the same person, reproducible from person to person (gage Repeatability and Reproducibility or gage R&R), all conclusions are suspect, and process management is therefore fragile and ineffective.
Organizations typically focus on measurement accuracy and calibration, but this course also emphasizes the essential elements of reliable measurement procedures.
Dear All, I have prepared this presentation to get a better understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC). This is a very informative presentation and giving information about the History of SPC, the basics of SPC, the PDCA approach, the Benefits of SPC, application of 7-QC tools for problem-solving. You can follow this technique in your day to day business working to solve the problems. Thanking you.

ISO 14000 bears the potential to revolutionize the environmental industry, which historically operated on "command AND control," by proposing to now operate it on a "self-regulatory" basis.
Basic overview six sigma, Six Sigma is a production philosophy that uses data, processes, and tools to nearly eliminate defects and bring performance close to perfection. Specifically, achieving Six Sigma means that no more than 3.4 defects occur per one million “opportunities” to create an acceptable output
Six sigma originally developed in 1986 by Motorala, the business
management strategy is now used in many different industries in an effort
to improve the quality of products or services produced by the business
through the removal of effects and errors. The strategy involves creating
groups of people within the business or organisation who have expert
status in various methods, and then each product is carried out according
to a set of steps in an effort to reach specific financial milestones. A six
sigma process is defined as one in which 99.99966% of products created
are expected to be statistically free from defects.
Six Sigma is a quality management methodology that streamlines and transforms business processes to achieve more with less. Six Sigma Yellow Belt is part of the Six Sigma process improvement certification for quality management.
This TUV SUD's Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification is one of the most industry-recognized Quality management certifications for professionals across the globe.

3. Definition – Six Sigma Six Sigma is the measure of quality that strives for near perfection. It is a disciplined, data-driven methodology focused on eliminating defects. A Six Sigma defect is defined as anything that falls outside of a customer's specifications. Six Sigma is a reference to a statistical measuring system, equivalent to just 3.4 defects per every million opportunities (Snee, 2003). THE THREE FUNDAMENTALS OF SIX SIGMA Six Sigma 3 Robust Methodology 2 Data Driven 1 Customer Focus
4. Definition Of Six Sigma Data alone cannot solve all your customer or business issues. A methodology for defect definition, measurement, analysis, improvement and control must be utilized to standardize improvement processes and maximize business productivity. Business processes should be structured around the customer's ideal experience. Data is necessary to identify input, process and output areas for improvement. Quality improvements are not haphazardly implemented. Instead, resources are assigned to projects when it can be shown through data analysis that a difference will be felt by the customer. Ensuring all outputs meet customer specifications. This is very intuitive for manufacturing and industrial businesses; potentially a new concept for transactional businesses. Customer needs must be understood down to the tolerance level. In addition, new products and services should be conceived to meet the needs of customers not currently serviced. 3 Robust Methodology 2 Data Driven 1 Customer Focus
