In the summer of 2013, I participated in the Calvin College Entrada Scholar program, a four week
intensive program for racial ethnic minority high school students to experience college learning and
living while earning college credit. Creating an international community was a huge theme in this

the airframe might not be able to handle the extra weight. Useful load is how much weight can be
put in the plane including fuel. Payload is how much weight can be put in the plane after it is full

Some common terms used in describing bush planes are stall speed, STOL, ground roll, take off
distance over 50 feet, and rate of climb. Stall speed is when the airplane stops producing enough

Frida was best known for her self portraits. All she painted were self portraits because she said
that she often felt alone. Her mom decided to have an easel made so Frida can paint in bed,
while her father lends her a box of oil paints and brushes. The first painting she painted was in the
year 1926 and was entitled Self Portrait in a Velvet Dress. This self portrait of her shows that
she has a long narrowed face, long neck, and elongation of her hands recalls the Mannerist
