Invention Essay
Writing an essay on the topic of invention can be both exhilarating and challenging. On one
hand, the subject is vast and rich with historical, scientific, and cultural nuances that offer a
plethora of material to explore. On the other hand, the very breadth of the topic can make it
daunting to narrow down and articulate a focused argument or perspective.
One difficulty lies in striking the right balance between providing a comprehensive overview of
the concept of invention and delving into specific examples or case studies. It requires careful
selection of information to avoid overwhelming the reader with a barrage of facts while still
ensuring the essay is informative and engaging.
Another challenge is navigating the fine line between creativity and analytical rigor. While the
essay may touch upon the inventive spirit and the creative process, it also demands a logical
structure and coherent argumentation. Balancing these elements is crucial to crafting an essay
that is not only insightful but also academically rigorous.
Researching the historical context and technological advancements associated with various
inventions can be time-consuming, requiring a meticulous examination of primary and secondary
sources. Additionally, it may be challenging to present this information in a way that is both
accessible to a general audience and intellectually satisfying for those with a deeper
understanding of the subject.
Moreover, grappling with the ethical implications of certain inventions or assessing their long-
term societal impacts adds another layer of complexity. The nuanced nature of these
considerations requires a careful and thoughtful approach to ensure a well-rounded exploration
of the topic.
In conclusion, writing an essay on the concept of invention demands a delicate interplay between
creativity and analytical rigor, a thorough exploration of historical and contemporary examples,
and a nuanced examination of ethical implications. Successfully navigating these challenges can
result in an essay that not only informs but also stimulates critical thinking. For those seeking
assistance in tackling such complex topics, it's worth noting that similar essays and a wealth of

Hospital Based Shootings
A disaster is an event that is a natural or man made occurrence that can disrupt or
destroy the lives of those it affects (Stanhope Lancaster, 2014). Management of a
disaster includes four phases; prevention, preparedness, response and recovery
(Stanhope Lancaster, 2014). To date there have been 154 hospital based shootings,
which resulted in 235 dead or injured. (C.Catlett, 2012). The purpose of this paper is
to identify emergency preparedness and response to hospital based shootings, and the
role of the public health nurse in such a disaster.
The Role of the Nurse

defined as an individual who is actively engaged in killing or attempting to kill people

A study by Johns Hopkins observed that healthcare workers are predominantly
vulnerable during active shootings. According to the John Hopkins study The rate of
assaults on them is 8 in 10,000, compared with 2 in 10,000 for the private sector .
(hopkinsmedicine.org, 2014) Drills and training courses have risen across the United
States in the aftermath of active shootings. Professional nurses can collaborate with
law enforcement to conduct hospital drills that include industry guidelines, safety
rules, staffing suggestions, checklists and scenarios for planning a similar event. In
Los Angeles a workshop that role plays with plastic weapons, demonstrates to facility
workers that they can defend themselves during such emergencies.

A Comparison of Two Murderers
In the Edgar Allan Poe stories The Cask of Amontillado and The Tell Tale Heart the
most prominent and important themes that are used are death, logic, and irony. The
characters of the narrator and Montresor in these stories are both coldblooded
murders that kill for selfish, and inane reasons who firmly believe that their actions
are justified even though their rationalizations only make sense in their own minds.
They both try to convince their audience that they are completely sane by giving their
explanations about why they did what they did as well as their motives for killing
their victims. In admitting how they murdered victims, who appear to be innocent to
everyone besides them, they only succeed in proving their insanity. The... Show more

He knows that logically the only way lure Fortunado into the catacombs
successfully is to make him feel safe and then betray him at the last moment. When
he lures Fortunado into the catacombs he gives him many opportunities to get out
of it but he does not suspect Montresor of anything so he continues to trust him.
There is also a considerable amount of irony in both of the stories. The best
example is when they try to convince the audience that they are completely sane
and that their actions are justified. The narrator tirelessly attempts to convince
whoever he is telling his story to that he is perfectly sane while recounting how he
viciously murdered an old man he claimed to love, chopped up his body, and hid
him in the floorboards all because he didn t like his vulture eye. While he believes
that he is going to persuade his audience that he was in his right mind, all he is
doing his backing up the assumption that he is mentally ill and is in no way sane.
Montresor does not try as hard to make his listeners believe in his sanity. His
victim, Fortunado, as a character is also a good example of irony. His name,
which translates to lucky , proves to be extremely ironic when he is the one that
ends up being killed. He is given many hints by Montresor as to what will happen to
him as well as many opportunities to turn back but his ego and competitiveness with
his rival Luchresi ends up sealing his fate. He says in
Pros And Cons Of The Nuremberg War Trial
Beverley McLachlin, the 2007 Chief Justice of Canada, once said, The most
advanced justice system in the world is a failure if it does not provide justice to the
people it is meant to serve.
The Nuremberg War Trial has been considered the most significant as well as the
most debatable event in military law history. To those who support the trial it
promises the first effective recognition of a world law for the punishment of
criminals who start wars or conduct inhuman acts during them. To the opposing
critics the trial appears in many aspects a denial of legal ethics which they regard as
the heart of any system of justice under law.

Most significantly, the German defendants at Nuremberg were being tried for several
categories of offense that had no precedent under international law creating ex post
facto charge, meaning that the defendants were indicted for something that was not a
crime until after they had committed it. At the time that the German officials on trial
committed the various atrocities for which they were charged, no international law
specifically banned their actions. The prosecution was therefore able to construct
their charges to maximize the rate of conviction. Most national legal codes, including
the law of the United States, require that a crime must have been illegal at the time
the act was committed in order to charges to be pressed. The major focuses of the
prosecution were crimes against the peace, crimes against humanity, war crimes,
organizations, and conspiracy. Of all these, only war crimes was a clearly recognized
category under pre existing international law.
War crimes jurisprudence was based on The Hague and Geneva conventions, and
narrowly governed the treatment of foreign soldiers and civilians during wartime.
Technically, the only war crimes committed by the Germans involved the treatment of
Allied prisoners of war and of the populations of conquered
Character Development In The Witch, And The Wardrobe
Character Change and Development in The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe,
Prince Caspian, and The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, Prince Caspian, and The Voyage of the
Dawn Treader, is a trilogy by C.S. Lewis about young children and their adventures in
Narnia. Character change and development is a big aspect of these books and is the
main focus in the trilogy. This big aspect definitely adds its effect to these books with
their adventures in Narnia, transitioning them from youth to adulthood. Out of all the
characters, I find Edmund, Lucy, and Peter the ones that undergo these adventures of
maturity the most.

Firstly, we can tell that she is more observant. For example, in The Lion, The Witch,
and the Wardrobe, Lucy is the first to notice and take interest in the Wardrobe, in
Prince Caspian, she is the first to see Aslan has come back, and in The Voyage of the
Dawn Treader, Lucy observes the painting and notices it is very narnian looking.
Furthermore, we see how brave she has gotten over the span of the series. In The
Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, and Prince Caspian, Lucy shows how brave
she is by taking out her dagger when wanting to join the war. It is not until we
watch The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, when we see Lucy actually going into
physical combat, that we know she is truly braver. Lastly, we take notice of Lucy s
character development, maturity wise. In The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe,
Lucy is an imaginative and naГЇve young girl who seems to have no flaws until The
Voyage of the Dawn Treader, when she starts envying her sister s beauty and not
praising her own. This character development shows that she is growing up, now that
she is more aware of the world and that not everything is innocent like it was is
before. Lucy definitely undergo some interesting character change and developments

Articles Of Confederation Vs. The Blueprint Of A Nation
Rather than the blueprint of a nation, the Articles of Confederation seems more fitting
to be an agreement signed by several nations to form an alliance.
In Article II, states were granted sovereignty, freedom, and independence. This means
that the Articles of Confederation didn t have much strength to unite and keep the
states as one nation. In Article V, each state was to be represented by more than two
and less than seven delegates. Even though this did allow the voice of every single
state to be heard, it did not achieve equal representation, which was problematic when
attempting to achieve democracy in a nation. Article IX stated that no president was
allowed to serve more than three terms, with each term being one year. Because every

American s are associated as obese, in debt, lazy, drug and sex crazed, while
unprepared for life s realities. As ignorant as the following statement sounds, it

young adults, who are smoking marijuana, living a party lifestyle, and recklessly
drinking their lives into gay and inter racial relationships. It s time to set the record

##versical Dilemmas, And Peter Singer s The Singer...
The subject of suffering has been a discussion of debate among numerous
philosophers for many decades. In the article, The Singer Solution to World Poverty,
Peter Singer forms two theoretical scenarios to encourage readers to consider their
obligations in aiding children in need; in the poem Musee des Beaux Arts, by W.H.
Auden, employs the use of two paintings to illustrate the indifference of humanity to
individual suffering. At first, readers will say that both pieces are noticeably different
in terms of selflessness, but a thorough inspection of both works uncovers a
misleading truth that imply controversial opinions on the issue. The usage of
imaginary incidents in both writings contain problems of distortion of actuality. The
inaccurate evidence will likely trigger readers to be inclined to reach deceptive
assumptions in regards to the author s proposed solutions.
First, in The Singer Solution to World Poverty, Singer deceives actuality when he
generates two events in which an individual is faced with an ethical dilemma
whether to save a child or sacrifice his or her luxuries. In the second scenario
offered by Singer, Bob faces the choice of either turning the switch on the railroad to
save a child or letting the train destroy his life savings, a Bugatti. Furthermore, people
will condemn Bob for not freeing the child. Though, Singer argues as there is no
distinct line amongst the situation and the real life issue of donating money to
children in need, wealthy
Mcdonald s Corporation International Financial...
This paper analyzes McDonald s corporation and Wendy s corporation international
financial performance. Data for various financial ratios have been adopted from
income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement. The biggest fast food
chains and widely known are McDonald s and Wendy s. To compare these two
companies financial capabilities we will have to look at current ratio, earnings per
share, earnings/price, equity/debt ratio and divided yield all need to be carefully
thought out to obtain an idea of which is better. Earnings per share are the total
amount of cash a company gets for having one single share. It is better, the more
the earnings per share, this is because the profit will be bigger for the stocks that a
company owns. Wendy s earning per share is $0.68, whereas McDonald s are only
$0.17. This is due to the fact that even though McDonald s usually earns more
money per year, they have bigger number of shareholders. In other words, this
means that each stockholder of McDonald get to be paid less amount from huge
pool of stockholders. On the side of Wendy s, they are attempting to their ratio
from 7% to 10%, which is below a longer term goal of 12 percent to 15 percent. On
a careful analysis of McDonald s you will realize that earnings per share is low,
hence requires to be publicize they are doing better. Using this ratio it is quite
obvious, Wendy s is in a better situation. Working capital ratio is used to show the

Barrio Rising Book Report
Barrio Rising is a book about urban popular politics and the making of modern
Venezuela. It portrays the democracy and violence in Venezuela between the 1950s
and the Bolivarian Revolution of 1998. People who lived during these times protested
about the unfair treatment they received from the government. They acted out in
violence, guerilla warfares, and protesting. Their main goal, in these communities,
was to have their voices heard and their demands met to their standards.
In the 1950s, Marcos PГ©rez JimГ©nez, the president, modernized Venezuela by
building dozens of superblocks in the capital, Caracas. These buildings housed several
thousands of poor people without jobs, health care, utilities, etc. With the unfinished
business of dictator Marcos Perez Jimenez, who was overthrown on January 23,

who were making themselves visible by utilizing guerilla warfare to try to get their

wanted power of the people, a democracy. At the height of the protests the interim
government had moved to suspend rights of speech and of assembly, an ironic first
act following the democratic revolution s first elections (Page 97). Citizens began to

Caesar conquered Alesia. today Alesia is known as Alise Sainte Reine in Burgundy,

Vercingetorix and his men took refuge in Alesia and a few days later they would
send out letters to help his allies. Caesar decided to starve Vercingetorix and them
surrender since he knew that the food supply wouldn t last long because of the
population of Alesia and the 80,000. Caesar ordered his men to construct a 12 feet
high and 11 miles long wall around the town to enclose it. Caesar knew that an
offensive attack on Alesia wouldn t work well since his army was about 50,00 while

Walking The Boundaries Analysis
In the novel Walking the Boundaries Australian author Jackie French introduces the
reader to Martin and his family and the history of their family farm. The reason why
Martin is visiting his great grandfather Ted is because the old man has challenged
him to walk the boundaries of the property and if he does this successfully, then the
farm will be his. Martin wants to get the property and all the money that would come
with selling it. In the beginning Martin thought the walk around the boundaries
would be easy but he ends up facing some unexpected events and as a result learns
about his familyhistory while walkingthe boundaries. French expresses the changein
Martin s personality through her knowledge of Australia s indigenous past, her use
of sensory language and through the development of her main characters. In the
book Walking the Boundaries Martin discovers how the bush works and how it is
everybody s obligation to take care of the land for future generations.
Before his walk around the boundaries, Martin thought the walk would be easy but
Old Ted, his great grandfather, knows how hard this seemingly simple journey will
be. Since Old Ted knew what Martin was going to experience, he makes sure Martin
goes the right way around the boundaries so Martin can find out about the land s

Unreliable Narrator In The Collector
When someone tells a story, if it ever sounds prolonged or even slightly
exaggerated the person telling the story might be stretching the truth. This is
because everyone who ever tells you a story is a unreliable narrator. Most people
do this without realizing it either to make to story more interesting, or just improve
the overall story. An unreliable narrator is someone who has limited knowledge,
acts or creates a suspectius tone, is uncredible and gives information that is
incomplete or inaccurate. Fredrik Clegg and Miranda Grey are two examples of
unreliable narrators. Clegg is an undiagnosed Sociopath and Miranda is a selfish
upper class citizen. In the book, The Collector by John Fowles each of these
characters are considered unreliable for the suspicious and uncrediable behavior....

just that there s so much time to get through. Endless endless endless time. What I

not okay, she is becoming restless. When someone becomes restless with nothing to
do it can cause the mind to start creating things that are not actually there. By
Miranda telling us she is on edge, proves that her mental state is depleting and she is
becoming an uncredible source information. Therefore, because of her mental state

Gender Trouble By Judith Butler
INTRO
Judith Butler, the author of Gender Trouble (1990), is an American philosopher who
was born in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1956.
A feminist (that is, a participant in the cultural, political, and theoretical currents
surrounding the advocacy of the rights of women), she has published more than a
dozen books and has been active in debates ranging from lesbian, gay, bisexual, and
transsexual rights to Middle Eastern politics. She works on identity issues and
prejudice against minorities, having personal experience of both. Her mother lost her
Hungarian family in the Nazi Holocaust during World War II, and, as a lesbian,
Butler has herself experienced discrimination. She has spoken about the difficulty of
coming out as a teenager and about the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Butler intervened in these debates by questioning the very idea of stable gender
identity.
THE ANSWER
No political revolution is possible without a radical shift in one s notion of the
possible and the real.
Judith Butler, Gender Trouble: Feminism and the Subversion of Identity
Judith Butler argues that gender becomes ВґrealВґ by a person unconsciously acting
in ways that are accepted to be masculine or feminine and that even biological sex is
a product of culture.
Gender is imposed through patterns of thought in the society, but history shows that
identities have changed over time, then it is impossible to say that they are fixed and
eternal.
Gender Trouble is an original and radical text that employs for political ends the
analytical methods of poststructuralist theory (and its challenge to categories and
ideas of objective truth).
IDEAS
Because there is neither an essence that gender expresses or externalizes nor an
objective ideal to which gender aspires, and because gender is not a fact, the various
acts of gender create the idea of gender, and without those acts, there would be no
gender at

Was she developmentally slow? No, her mother had taught her to stay away from the

parenting. When parents are too involved in the life of their children, and try too hard
to protect them from reality, it can cause real harm. Helicopter parentingcan result in
adults who are unhappy and unprepared for life.
Lythcott Haims says Our job as a parent is to put ourselves out of a job . When we
are raising our children, we have to teach them how to be able to live
independently. It is our duty to make sure they have the skills and ability to
continue their lives without us. Do we want to have our grown children unable to

Why Do Ants And Bees Have Similarities In Social Behavior
Ants and bees have similarities in social behavior. First, social structure is the
same in ants and bees. Both bees and ants live in colonies that have at least one
queen, few males and many specialized workers that are all female. The bees queen
populates the colony like the queen of ants lays thousands of eggs. the female
workers in both species are building and taking care of the nest. Also, the main
function of the males in ants and bees is to fertilize the queen s eggs. Second, both
ants and bees share some communication s methods one method is pheromones which
is chemical substance produced by the species. Ants use their antennas with
Pheromones to smell. Moreover, each colony carries their own unique set of
pheromones, making it possible

Digital multipliers are along with the majority critical arithmetic functional units. The
general performance of the Digital multiplier systems depends on throughput of the
multiplier. The negative bias temperature instability effect occurs when a pMOS
transistor is under negative bias (Vgs = в€’Vdd), increasing the threshold voltage of
a pMOS transistor and falling the multiplier speed. In the same way, positive bias
temperature instability occurs when an nMOS transistor is under positive bias. Both
effects degrade the speed of the transistor and in the long term, the system may be
fail due to timing violations. For that reason, it is required to design reliable high
performance multipliers. In this paper, we implement an aging aware multiplier
design with a novel adaptive hold logic (AHL) circuit. The multiplier is able to
provide the higher throughput through the variable latency and can adjust the
adaptive hold logic

Jones (2015) state that individuals may benefit from vocational tests after high
school, after college, or during a career change. Additionally, Drummond, Sheperis,
Jones (2015) state that some advantages of careerassessments are helping a client
discover new occupational interests that match their personality, as well as
measuring their skillsets for varying occupations. There are several approaches to
career assessments that include interest, beliefs, and capability types of inventories.
Interest inventories have been available as early as 1914 and have continued to
evolve over the decades (Harrington Long, 2013). Currently, The U.S. Department of

The Dying Detective Vs An Invitation To Murder
The Dying Detective and An Invitation To Murder Similarities and Differences The
stories The Dying Detective and An Invitation to Murder , many similarities and
differences are present. The first similarity between the two stories is the situational
irony existing in the text. Both the stories have situational irony scattered
throughout the plot. In The Dying Detective , Holmes sets up Culverton Smith for
the murder of Victor savage; similarly, in An Invitation to Murder , Mrs. Abbot sets
up the twelve officers in the room to be the judges of the murder of her husband.
Another similarity is the poison being used as a case at each story. In The Dying
Detective , poison was used in a small box that when opened, your finger would be
The Shadow Of The Galilean
The Shadow of the Galilean. By Gerd Theissen. Fortress Press: Minneapolis, 2007,
212 pp., $8.95.
The book begins with the main character, Andreas, being imprisoned for alleged
involvement in an anti Roman riot. He was only there to observe his friend Barabbas
a dangerous Zealot but was caught up in the commotion when Roman officers began
beating and capturing the demonstrators. Thus he came to be arrested, and is waiting
anxiously in his cell when he is abruptly taken out by guards and brought to an
interrogation room. The Roman officer questions him about his involvement in the
event, but Andreas does his best to avoid being connected to the demonstration and
Barabbas at all costs. They discuss various problems relating to the submission of the
Jews to the Romans, and the events that have thus been brought on by having
Herodian kings and Roman officials ruling their land. It is through this interrogation
that the readers get to familiarize themselves with a brief historical background,
before continuing to read about Andreas adventure. It is also through this period of
questioning, that the reader gets to know more about Andreas himself. It is made
clear that he is from a wealthy family, originating from the city of Sepphoris located
in Galilee. He mentions that his family has always been on good terms with the
Romans, and that he and his father both make decent money in the grain business;
often dealing with patrons of high status like Herod Antipas. This information
Hillsboro Monkey Trial
A man is on trial! A man who wishes to think! In a small town drenched in summer
heat, a young man named Bert Cates is put on trial for questioning the bible s
teachings, and introducing the school children to Darwinism. Though the genesis of
this play is the 1925 monkey trial, the setting is classified as not too long ago. This
being because the right to think is always on trial in one way or another. The right to
think is important because it allows society to prosper, sciences and philosophies to
expand, and supports diversity of opinions .
Free thinking allows society to prosper. In Hillsboro free thought is considered a
criminal offense, and can cause high tensions. This tension can cause people who
were once neighborly and civil, to turn on each other. While Brady holds a
religious meeting, he speaks harshly of cates, and the people of the town are quick
to agree. pointing a finger towards the jail. Do we curse the man who denies the
word? All yes! (Lawrence page 65)

who allowed him to teach their children. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They all have conformed to the pattern that society accepts the most, religious. And
further than that, catholic, which at this time was the most widely accepted religion.
This shows the readers how one sided Hillsboro s opinions were. Some will argue
that this can t be true because Cates has an opinion of religion. Tell em what your
father really said! That Tommy s soul was damned withering in hell fire! (Lawrence
77) Yes cates was raised in social conformityand still managed to form an opinion.
The flaw in this logic is that bert only formed his opinion after reading someone
else s. Darwin was not raised in a place like hillsboro, he was free to think. Berts
opinion is just the opinion of someone else. Though he agrees with it in hindsight, he
was unable to form it himself in
How Is The War Of The Roses Related To Psychology
Review Week 4 concepts The movie I chose was, The War Of the Roses, it s a
classic movie that features Danny DeVito and he s also the director. This movie is
about a husband and wife who After 17 years of marriage, wanted out of the
marriage But neither one wants to part with this beautiful house. I found symbolism
all throughout this movie from the title to the pets and the children. Starting with
the title to have chosen the last name Rose, was a symbol it s self. A Rose is a
complex flower, and the beauty of this flower indicate new beginnings hope and
promise, The rose have thorns and the thorns symbolizing loss, defense, and

The Market Economy By Marge Piercy
The bizarre economy that we live in has affected us in many ways than our simple
mind can fathom. After World War II there was massive push in innovation. Human
were gifted with inventions like the Airplane, color T.V., polyvinyl cups, and
precooked dinners. Nevertheless, these gifts came at an enormous cost. That cost was
pushed onto the environmentand people living in that environment. The Market
Economy by Marge Piercy illustrates the movement in American aimed at bring
attention to a global problem as well as an effort to save the planet along with the
people living on it.

Analysis Of Dante s Inferno
Dante s Divine Comedy is a work that has lasted many generations, and has greatly
contributed to even our own visualization of the afterlife. It is separated into three
parts with the most striking section of the work being the Inferno. In Inferno, the
character Dante travels through hell, and identifies the sins and consequent
punishment of those who are damned. However, Infernois not a simple report of an
event, but also includes several literary devices that convey grander and more
significant themes of sin, punishment, and the afterlife. These devices Dante uses in
his work are, but not limited to, symbolism, allegory, allusion, and a special kind of
irony called contrapasso, which will be discussed in this essay. Dante also arranges...

However, when many similar allusions appear in what seems to be a deliberate
order, it becomes noticeable that the author wanted to convey a topic or argument in
his or her writing without explicitly saying so. But, why do authors choose to hide
their ideas behind recurring symbols and allusions? They usually do this because it is
easier for them to demonstrate their beliefs through images and symbols than words.
Additionally, creating a text that has multiple layers of meaning also enriches the
work, and this is underlined by The Divine Comedy s long standing popularity.
(Encyclopedia Britannica) The Divine Comedy is considered to be an allegorical
work because there are many proposed theories for allegories throughout the story,
and even some that encompass the entire work. Additionally, because of its religious
subject matter, many scholars study The Divine Comedy as they would a religious
work. For many, this entails interpreting the text in both a literal and figurative sense

Analysis Of Last Hope For Peace At Brooklyn s Big Party
In the article Last Hope for Peace at Brooklyn s Big Party written by the Editorial
Board of The New York Times, the main focus is whether or not Brooklyn s city
officials can run the annual celebration of Caribbean Culture named, J ouvert, without
a casualty. The writer uses a few techniques to get their argumentacross such
techniques consist of title, imagery, and more. The writer is not one person but, it is
rather The Editorial Board at the New York Times. The writer s argument works
effectively by providing evidence from previous celebrations of J ouvert, fatal
altercations during the event are bound to occur no matter what precautions officials
make to prevent them.
The first technique the author uses to support his argument is the title. The title of
the article is Last Hope for Peace at Brooklyn s Big Party. By using this title, the
author draws readers in by making them feel as if the topic is of high importance.
The author accomplishes this by his word choice and is localizing the article to an
area such as Brooklyn. By doing so, the author draws people s attention in because
Brooklyn is a very renowned area. He also shows his standpoint on the issue by
using the words Last Hope , which is a very negative way of looking at an issue and
shows the author has an opposing un optimistic view/standpoint. By using the words
Last Hope , the author is able to convey a subliminal message to the reader that there
is something wrong that needs fixing and if this
Security Incidents And Security Violations
In 2013, 50 major global organizations reported that 63,437 security incidents and
1,367 confirmed security breaches had significantly impacted their business. [cite]
Even more staggering, over 100 million Americans that s 1 out of 3 citizens had
their credit or debit card information pilfered by hackers over the course of 4 data
breaches between 2013 and 2014 [cite], with confirmed evidence that breaches of this
type are increasing. These statistics show that there are serious problems now existing
in the realm of information securityand the internet. However, it is undeniable that
society today is largely dependent upon the technology that handles our information
along with many facets of society such as social media that would leave us
completely non functional without technology. Consequently, there is an ongoing
debate about the issues of information security and how to solve them. Some people
believe it is the simple matter of installing security programs on their devices, or using
a network that its proponents have labeled it as ultra secure to solve the problem. On
the other hand, others believe that these are information security issues that, given
technology today and in the future, will never have a permanent solution. The
American military has legitimate reasons for secure communications across the
Internet, especially in the current age of technology. Field personnel and agents in

Analysis Of The Book The Once And Future King
Nathan Jarm Fourth hour December 16, 2016 T. H. White s The Once and Future
King is one of the unique portrayals of the legend of King Arthur. White puts a twist
on the epic saga of King Arthur, from his childhood education and experiences, up to
his death. There has been other novels of Arthur s life, In the fifteenth century,
Thomas Malory wrote le Morte d Arthur, the first complete tale of Arthur s life. Along
with the other novels. Nothing compares to Whites twist on the legend of Arthur.
Though similar in many ways to other works of the same legend, such as Malory s,
White gives new details, meanings, and insightful modernization to the story by using
his post war ideology, animal imagery, and the concept of might vs right. White s
twist on the Arthurian legend differs from the traditional versions in that he includes
present knowledge and concepts, adds new stories and characters to the legend, and
provides new perspectives by going deeper into the existing tales. With the Arthurian
legend it has been told with many similar point of views by different authors
throughout the years. T.H. White has witnessed WWI and WWII without being in
both great wars of his century. T.H. White focuses on Arthur as a character with a
blank slate, having a wizard named Merlin teaching him throughout the book what is
right from wrong. T.H. White an author, journalist, educator, and poet. T.H White was

The Causes of US Intervention in Nicaragua
In 1845, a Nicaraguan journalist warned his compatriots, The waterway across the
Isthmus of Nicaragua is the apple of our Eden. It will be our curse . This metaphor is
appropriate in that it reflects the turbulent times the country of Nicaragua will face as
a direct result from U.S. military intervention. In 1857, the United States utilized
military intervention in order to save the nation of Nicaraguafrom a citizen of their
own upbringing. William Walker, an ambitious American filibuster hailing from
Pennsylvania had been overrunning several Latin American nations in pursuit for his
own economic profits; however, in the end, the administrative government of the
United States determined that the efforts of the military were unfounded and would
reflect poorly; therefore the operation was repudiated by the government. The failure
of the American government to fully dismiss William Walker s conquest for power
within the Latin Americaand punish him accordingly underscores how the United
States consistently proves to support figures that often have the worst intentions but
claim to uphold the interests of America.
The causes of military intervention within Nicaragua in 1857 to stop William Walker
can be traced back to the economic and social impulses that had erected from the
onset of Manifest Destiny occurring within the United States. The 1800s represented
the time of ambition, growth, and development all falling under the big umbrella
known as the Manifest Destiny. By
Why Did The Spanish Lose The Aztec War
The Aztecs and the Spanish had a conflict many years ago. While many viewpoints
exist, The defeat of the Aztecs at the hands of the Spanish conquistadors was
unavoidable because of many reasons. Three of the many reasons why the Aztecs
lost are: The Spanish were, greedy, and were conquerors before, Spanish had
advanced technology and weapons, and the Aztecs were strongly devoted to their
religion. Overall, it is clear that the conflict and defeat of the Aztecs was unavoidable.
One reason why the Aztecs lost was because the Spanish knew how to conquer lands
because they had done it before. They had strategies that far exceeded those of the
Aztecs. On the other side, the Aztecs had never left their homeland and did not know
about the other cultures. Even though they had conquered some people, they weren t
good at strategically planning their attacks they went all out aggressive and believed
that the gods would help them in the battle. The Spanish prepared before hand so

While the Aztecs did have some great weapons, the Spanish had a lot better weapons
than the Aztecs. One of the Spanish weapons, the Crossbow was a long ranged
weapon that was better than the Aztec spear thrower. It was more accurate, had more
range, and didn t rely on human strength as much. As far as technology goes, the
Aztecs did not have much. They relied a lot on simple and old technology. Their
weapons were made easily and did not require as much resources. Weapons like the
spear was easily made, but if it was easily made it was also easily broken. Their
weapons were fragile but because of their strength they were able to defeat their foes.
In the battle against the Spanish, the Aztec failed because of how better the Spanish
weapons were, strength alone was not able to withstand the Spanish

Case Study Of Ducati
Answer for No. 3:
In my opinion, as the main market of the company, Ducati is in Italy, hence it might
be adventurous if they are focusing its business strategy on electronic commerce. This
is because the rate of internet penetration in Italy is the lowest in Western Europe,
where only 9% of the 57 million population who are using the internet in June 1999.
This might become a risk to the company as if Ducati is fully focusing on electronic
commerce, there is a high probability that their target customer might fall into the
range of 91% of 57 million population who are not using the internet, hence the sales
of the company might drop as the existing or potential customer is less likely to use

she takes on this new appearance, however, her plans fall victim to the same

Religious Faith In Zora Hurston s Sweat
Religious faith has always acted as a saving grace for those in need ranging from
the time of slavery, in which slaves adopted religious doctrines to endure the
hopeless life of harsh plantation conditions. To the case of the protagonist, Delia
Jones in Zora Hurston s piece, Sweat . Throughout the short story, Delia is tormented
by her unfaithful husband Sykes who physically and verbally abuses her. Although
she is subjected to this kind of ridicule daily she is able to cope with her faith and
modest work style.
The first time Delia s uses religion to aid her through hardship is after Sykes returns
from having borrowed her horse. Delia is washing clothes and Sykes decides to
scare her by placing his whip on her shoulder. At the sight of the whip, Delia is
frightened mistaking it for a snake. The use of the whip can be interpreted as
parallelism to the whips used as a corrective tool for slaves. After scaring Delia

does not engage and continues with her work stating, Ah aint for no fuss t night

Reasons For The For Destitute
Despite the fact that occasionally it may be difficult to check the careful number of
vagrants through the world, some measurable figures have demonstrated that the
globe has as yet confronting this worldwide issue for quite a while. The rate of
vagrancy in our general public is expanding because of numerous variables. Be that as
it may, what is destitute? Destitute is characterized as the state of individuals without
standard house or safe house who live in roads or stations. A few individuals trust that
absence of moderate lodging is the greatest reason for vagrancy. Notwithstanding,
emotional sickness and unemployment issues have directed individuals to wind up
destitute.
Vagrancy is a real wonder in our general public because of the quantity of individuals
living in the road. The reasons for destitute are various. The principal motivation
behind why individuals get to be destitute is on the grounds that they have a
dysfunctional behavior. Most importantly, a personwith memory impedance is not
have the capacity to work or to do any gainful movement so that he/she can t procure
cash professionally. This condition obliged the individual for asking to survive.
Therefore, the rationally sick individual begins to feel more good in the road, and
spend all the day and night in this spot. In the article Getting to be and Remaining
Homeless (Morrell Bellai, Goering, and Boydell ) refer to Snow and Anderson who

In any community, as in everyday life, many challenging issues can arise. In
intercultural communities a large portion of these challenging issues are in some
way, related to two forms of racism. Our book notes that racism could be self
imposed due to low feelings of self worth or a feeling of helplessness. This is called
internalized racism(Oetzel, p.293). The second type, institutionalized racism, stems
from the in group. When a majority feels superior or uses acts rejection towards the
minority the racist remarks are considered institutionalized. Often both forms of
racism occur in the community. Unfortunately, several social and cultural factors

segregated were the public schools and other public facilities. Today there are less

Adolescents First Sexual Behavior
The gender differences between the timing of an adolescent s first sexual behavior
J Anna Jones
Spalding University Louisville, KY 40203
In the field of Psychology there are many different topics that come about when
learning about the essentials of life span development. Life span development
consists of numerous things that people encounter from birth, childhood,
adolescents, and adulthood. Today let s analyze the gender differences between the
timing of an adolescent s first sexual behavior. The reason for these differences
between the gender can be made up of multiple things. Some researchers may say
that sexual orientation, race, culture or other demographic characteristics play a
role. When looking at this particular topic, for boys participating in sexual behaviors
is consider normally. Where as for a girl it is looked downed on because of the risk
of pregnancy at a young age. The timing for boys and girls first sexual behavior
mainly depends on the maturity and physical level of the adolescents. Most can
confirm that it is likely for girls to mature faster than boys because of the physical
changes and thought process that happens so fast within the female adolescent s body.

These differences consists of race, sexual orientation, culture or other demographic

and the change of going into adulthood. In addition to the adolescents body change
and natural desires of sexual behavior. Although this timing is something that
naturally happens, adolescents can face consequences for their sexual behavior.
Adolescents can come into contact with sexually transmitted diseases, HPV or HIV.
The cause of this is not using protection when having intercourse. Also adolescent

Invention Essay. Invention and Outline Examples: How to Write a College Essay 2015 ...

  • 1. Invention Essay Writing an essay on the topic of invention can be both exhilarating and challenging. On one hand, the subject is vast and rich with historical, scientific, and cultural nuances that offer a plethora of material to explore. On the other hand, the very breadth of the topic can make it daunting to narrow down and articulate a focused argument or perspective. One difficulty lies in striking the right balance between providing a comprehensive overview of the concept of invention and delving into specific examples or case studies. It requires careful selection of information to avoid overwhelming the reader with a barrage of facts while still ensuring the essay is informative and engaging. Another challenge is navigating the fine line between creativity and analytical rigor. While the essay may touch upon the inventive spirit and the creative process, it also demands a logical structure and coherent argumentation. Balancing these elements is crucial to crafting an essay that is not only insightful but also academically rigorous. Researching the historical context and technological advancements associated with various inventions can be time-consuming, requiring a meticulous examination of primary and secondary sources. Additionally, it may be challenging to present this information in a way that is both accessible to a general audience and intellectually satisfying for those with a deeper understanding of the subject. Moreover, grappling with the ethical implications of certain inventions or assessing their long- term societal impacts adds another layer of complexity. The nuanced nature of these considerations requires a careful and thoughtful approach to ensure a well-rounded exploration of the topic. In conclusion, writing an essay on the concept of invention demands a delicate interplay between creativity and analytical rigor, a thorough exploration of historical and contemporary examples, and a nuanced examination of ethical implications. Successfully navigating these challenges can result in an essay that not only informs but also stimulates critical thinking. For those seeking assistance in tackling such complex topics, it's worth noting that similar essays and a wealth of academic support can be accessed through platforms like HelpWriting.net. • 2. Hospital Based Shootings A disaster is an event that is a natural or man made occurrence that can disrupt or destroy the lives of those it affects (Stanhope Lancaster, 2014). Management of a disaster includes four phases; prevention, preparedness, response and recovery (Stanhope Lancaster, 2014). To date there have been 154 hospital based shootings, which resulted in 235 dead or injured. (C.Catlett, 2012). The purpose of this paper is to identify emergency preparedness and response to hospital based shootings, and the role of the public health nurse in such a disaster. The Role of the Nurse According to The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), An active shooter is defined as an individual who is actively engaged in killing or attempting to kill people ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A study by Johns Hopkins observed that healthcare workers are predominantly vulnerable during active shootings. According to the John Hopkins study The rate of assaults on them is 8 in 10,000, compared with 2 in 10,000 for the private sector . (hopkinsmedicine.org, 2014) Drills and training courses have risen across the United States in the aftermath of active shootings. Professional nurses can collaborate with law enforcement to conduct hospital drills that include industry guidelines, safety rules, staffing suggestions, checklists and scenarios for planning a similar event. In Los Angeles a workshop that role plays with plastic weapons, demonstrates to facility workers that they can defend themselves during such emergencies. (calhospitalprepare.org,
  • 3. A Comparison of Two Murderers In the Edgar Allan Poe stories The Cask of Amontillado and The Tell Tale Heart the most prominent and important themes that are used are death, logic, and irony. The characters of the narrator and Montresor in these stories are both coldblooded murders that kill for selfish, and inane reasons who firmly believe that their actions are justified even though their rationalizations only make sense in their own minds. They both try to convince their audience that they are completely sane by giving their explanations about why they did what they did as well as their motives for killing their victims. In admitting how they murdered victims, who appear to be innocent to everyone besides them, they only succeed in proving their insanity. The... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He knows that logically the only way lure Fortunado into the catacombs successfully is to make him feel safe and then betray him at the last moment. When he lures Fortunado into the catacombs he gives him many opportunities to get out of it but he does not suspect Montresor of anything so he continues to trust him. There is also a considerable amount of irony in both of the stories. The best example is when they try to convince the audience that they are completely sane and that their actions are justified. The narrator tirelessly attempts to convince whoever he is telling his story to that he is perfectly sane while recounting how he viciously murdered an old man he claimed to love, chopped up his body, and hid him in the floorboards all because he didn t like his vulture eye. While he believes that he is going to persuade his audience that he was in his right mind, all he is doing his backing up the assumption that he is mentally ill and is in no way sane. Montresor does not try as hard to make his listeners believe in his sanity. His victim, Fortunado, as a character is also a good example of irony. His name, which translates to lucky , proves to be extremely ironic when he is the one that ends up being killed. He is given many hints by Montresor as to what will happen to him as well as many opportunities to turn back but his ego and competitiveness with his rival Luchresi ends up sealing his fate. • 4. Pros And Cons Of The Nuremberg War Trial Beverley McLachlin, the 2007 Chief Justice of Canada, once said, The most advanced justice system in the world is a failure if it does not provide justice to the people it is meant to serve. The Nuremberg War Trial has been considered the most significant as well as the most debatable event in military law history. To those who support the trial it promises the first effective recognition of a world law for the punishment of criminals who start wars or conduct inhuman acts during them. To the opposing critics the trial appears in many aspects a denial of legal ethics which they regard as the heart of any system of justice under law. Towards the end of World War II the Allies were counting the days until Hitler s regime would finally be defeated ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Most significantly, the German defendants at Nuremberg were being tried for several categories of offense that had no precedent under international law creating ex post facto charge, meaning that the defendants were indicted for something that was not a crime until after they had committed it. At the time that the German officials on trial committed the various atrocities for which they were charged, no international law specifically banned their actions. The prosecution was therefore able to construct their charges to maximize the rate of conviction. Most national legal codes, including the law of the United States, require that a crime must have been illegal at the time the act was committed in order to charges to be pressed. The major focuses of the prosecution were crimes against the peace, crimes against humanity, war crimes, organizations, and conspiracy. Of all these, only war crimes was a clearly recognized category under pre existing international law. War crimes jurisprudence was based on The Hague and Geneva conventions, and narrowly governed the treatment of foreign soldiers and civilians during wartime. Technically, the only war crimes committed by the Germans involved the treatment of Allied prisoners of war and of the populations of conquered

Character Development In The Witch, And The Wardrobe Character Change and Development in The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, Prince Caspian, and The Voyage of the Dawn Treader The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, Prince Caspian, and The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, is a trilogy by C.S. Lewis about young children and their adventures in Narnia. Character change and development is a big aspect of these books and is the main focus in the trilogy. This big aspect definitely adds its effect to these books with their adventures in Narnia, transitioning them from youth to adulthood. Furthermore, we see how brave she has gotten over the span of the series. In The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, and Prince Caspian, Lucy shows how brave she is by taking out her dagger when wanting to join the war. It is not until we watch The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, when we see Lucy actually going into physical combat, that we know she is truly braver. Lastly, we take notice of Lucy s character development, maturity wise. In The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, Lucy is an imaginative and naГЇve young girl who seems to have no flaws until The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, when she starts envying her sister s beauty and not praising her own. This character development shows that she is growing up, now that she is more aware of the world and that not everything is innocent like it was is before. Lucy definitely undergo some interesting character change and developments in the Narnia

In Article V, each state was to be represented by more than two and less than seven delegates. Even though this did allow the voice of every single state to be heard, it did not achieve equal representation, which was problematic when attempting to achieve democracy in a nation. • 11. ##versical Dilemmas, And Peter Singer s The Singer... The subject of suffering has been a discussion of debate among numerous philosophers for many decades. In the article, The Singer Solution to World Poverty, Peter Singer forms two theoretical scenarios to encourage readers to consider their obligations in aiding children in need; in the poem Musee des Beaux Arts, by W.H. Auden, employs the use of two paintings to illustrate the indifference of humanity to individual suffering. At first, readers will say that both pieces are noticeably different in terms of selflessness, but a thorough inspection of both works uncovers a misleading truth that imply controversial opinions on the issue. The usage of imaginary incidents in both writings contain problems of distortion of actuality. The inaccurate evidence will likely trigger readers to be inclined to reach deceptive assumptions in regards to the author s proposed solutions. First, in The Singer Solution to World Poverty, Singer deceives actuality when he generates two events in which an individual is faced with an ethical dilemma whether to save a child or sacrifice his or her luxuries. In the second scenario offered by Singer, Bob faces the choice of either turning the switch on the railroad to save a child or letting the train destroy his life savings, a Bugatti. Furthermore, people will condemn Bob for not freeing the child. Earnings per share are the total amount of cash a company gets for having one single share. It is better, the more the earnings per share, this is because the profit will be bigger for the stocks that a company owns. Wendy s earning per share is $0.68, whereas McDonald s are only $0.17. This is due to the fact that even though McDonald s usually earns more money per year, they have bigger number of shareholders. In other words, this means that each stockholder of McDonald get to be paid less amount from huge pool of stockholders. On the side of Wendy s, they are attempting to their ratio from 7% to 10%, which is below a longer term goal of 12 percent to 15 percent. THE ANSWER No political revolution is possible without a radical shift in one s notion of the possible and the real. Judith Butler, Gender Trouble: Feminism and the Subversion of Identity Judith Butler argues that gender becomes ВґrealВґ by a person unconsciously acting in ways that are accepted to be masculine or feminine and that even biological sex is a product of culture. Gender is imposed through patterns of thought in the society, but history shows that identities have changed over time, then it is impossible to say that they are fixed and eternal. Gender Trouble is an original and radical text that employs for political ends the analytical methods of poststructuralist theory (and its challenge to categories and ideas of objective truth). The general performance of the Digital multiplier systems depends on throughput of the multiplier. The negative bias temperature instability effect occurs when a pMOS transistor is under negative bias (Vgs = в€’Vdd), increasing the threshold voltage of a pMOS transistor and falling the multiplier speed. In the same way, positive bias temperature instability occurs when an nMOS transistor is under positive bias. Both effects degrade the speed of the transistor and in the long term, the system may be fail due to timing violations. For that reason, it is required to design reliable high performance multipliers. In this paper, we implement an aging aware multiplier design with a novel adaptive hold logic (AHL) circuit. The multiplier is able to provide the higher throughput through the variable latency and can adjust the adaptive hold logic

The book begins with the main character, Andreas, being imprisoned for alleged involvement in an anti Roman riot. He was only there to observe his friend Barabbas a dangerous Zealot but was caught up in the commotion when Roman officers began beating and capturing the demonstrators. Thus he came to be arrested, and is waiting anxiously in his cell when he is abruptly taken out by guards and brought to an interrogation room. The Roman officer questions him about his involvement in the event, but Andreas does his best to avoid being connected to the demonstration and Barabbas at all costs. They discuss various problems relating to the submission of the Jews to the Romans, and the events that have thus been brought on by having Herodian kings and Roman officials ruling their land. It is through this interrogation that the readers get to familiarize themselves with a brief historical background, before continuing to read about Andreas adventure. It is also through this period of questioning, that the reader gets to know more about Andreas himself. It is made clear that he is from a wealthy family, originating from the city of Sepphoris located in Galilee. He mentions that his family has always been on good terms with the Romans, and that he and his father both make decent money in the grain business; often dealing with patrons of high status like Herod Antipas. They usually do this because it is easier for them to demonstrate their beliefs through images and symbols than words. Additionally, creating a text that has multiple layers of meaning also enriches the work, and this is underlined by The Divine Comedy s long standing popularity. (Encyclopedia Britannica) The Divine Comedy is considered to be an allegorical work because there are many proposed theories for allegories throughout the story, and even some that encompass the entire work. Additionally, because of its religious subject matter, many scholars study The Divine Comedy as they would a religious work. For many, this entails interpreting the text in both a literal and figurative sense (Encyclopedia Britannica). It will be our curse . This metaphor is appropriate in that it reflects the turbulent times the country of Nicaragua will face as a direct result from U.S. military intervention. In 1857, the United States utilized military intervention in order to save the nation of Nicaraguafrom a citizen of their own upbringing. William Walker, an ambitious American filibuster hailing from Pennsylvania had been overrunning several Latin American nations in pursuit for his own economic profits; however, in the end, the administrative government of the United States determined that the efforts of the military were unfounded and would reflect poorly; therefore the operation was repudiated by the government. The failure of the American government to fully dismiss William Walker s conquest for power within the Latin Americaand punish him accordingly underscores how the United States consistently proves to support figures that often have the worst intentions but claim to uphold the interests of America. The causes of military intervention within Nicaragua in 1857 to stop William Walker can be traced back to the economic and social impulses that had erected from the onset of Manifest Destiny occurring within the United States.
