Through this course I developed a deeper comprehension of ancient literature. I
studied the works of Homer (The Iliad) and Plato (Republic) as well as Greek lyric

understanding of how the ancient Greeks conceived of literature, viewing it as a

was to measure the speed of sound in air using ultrasonic waves in the laboratory, then
comparing the results to the theoretical value to thus determine any discrepancies

3. Method: Good laboratory practices follows, checking the equipment and
familiarising yourself with all the components that you will use in your experiment.
We undertook this by following figure 4 in the laboratory manual.
For our first trial, we started by adjusting the frequency of the signal generator such
that the observed amplitude of the generated signal of the Oscilloscope was at the
maximum, to which the signal generator indicated this to be at 32.4 kHZ or 32400

It was a time of long hair and stealth window escapes at the midnight hour; a time of
skipping class, anti establishment sentiment spewing forth from my foul, juvenile,
remorseless mouth. I was mad at the world on the grounds that I felt as though I
had been dealt a lousy hand in this life. In my infinite teenage wisdom, I had
convinced myself if I could not everything my way, I would set the world ablaze
and watch it burn. Full of aggressive energy, anger was the emotion with which I
chose to express myself. Naturally, I found fuel for the fire in a band named Rage
against the Machine. Front man Zach de la Rocha put the emotions I was

The first concept I am going to discuss is depression. When I was in high school I
suffered from depression. When I was a freshman I was diagnosed with Myalgic
Encephalomyelitis (ME) which is also called Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS).
This could be described as a disease that is characterized by profound fatigue, sleep
abnormalities, pain, and other symptoms that only become worse with the exertion
of energy. CFS is very hard to diagnose because a lot of the symptoms resemble
depression. A big difference is that People with depression usually feel very tired and
aren t interested in doing any activity, regardless of the task or the required amount of
effort. Meanwhile, those with chronic fatigue syndrome usually want to engage in
activities but just feel too tired to do so (Nall, 2015). For me, everything that came
along with having CFS is what caused me to have depression. When I was
diagnosed at the end of freshman year, my parents made the decision to
homeschool me so that I could have treatment. It made sense to take me out of
school because I was always sick because of my decreased immune response caused

Suspense In Bram Stoker s Dracula
Dracula written by Bram Stoker was one of the few very few novels I read that

Both the novel The Picture of Dorian Gray and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde support
the duality of human personality. However, Stevenson argues that one has no
choice but to follow their evil desires, where as Wilde argues that society and
influence cause people to follow their desires. Corruption of man exists in both
novels, in The Picture of Dorian Gray society makes one corrupt, but in Dr. Jekyll
and Mr. Hyde society controls evildesires that may otherwise take over one s
personality. The duality of humans has been explored by many, and both novels

should take responsibility for them; whereas Wilde argues that one can resist
temptation, but when indulging in temptation do not admit to it. As said
